A New Oratory in Aufhausen Germany

Wherever the anti-Christian German Kirchensteuer-apparatus (Church-tax) can't budge it, there are even the fruits of Grace in Germany.

(kreuz.net)  On the 15th of September the Vatican has erected the Congregation of the Oratory of St. Philipp Neri near the 1,700 population community of Aufhausen near Regensburg.

It is known as the the Society of the Brothers of the Precious Blood (FSS).

The new Oratory works together with the female Society the Servants of the Precious Blood (SAS).

Around these communities "A circle of friends of the Spiritual Family of the Precious Blood" has formed.

Already 12 Members

The Community counts at present twelve brothers: two priests, three theology students, four lay brothers and three candidates.

The two priests are Father Winfried Wermter and Father Piotr Lipinski.

After them are the clerics and lay brothers Frater Thomas Sedlmeier, Frater Marek Michna, Frater Josef Felder, Frater Marian Brodowksi and Frater Gunther Scheder who are members of the new Oratory.

There was an Oratory in Aufhausen once before

The Oratory in Aufhausen is a Congregation of Pontifical Right.

It is connected in its tradition to a community, founded in 1672 by the Pastor Johann Georg Seidenbusch in 1672 together with his assistant priests.

From that grew the first Oratory in the German speaking world.

Consecrated upon the title "Maria Schnee" [Snows of Mary] became a pilgrimage church.

The community wasn't nullified during the secularization of Bavaria and received the title "Royal Institute of Neri" (till 1829).

The last provost died in 1886.

The old tradition is brought back to life

In 1890 the Benedictines from the Lower Bavarian cloister of Metten took over the empty buildings in 1890.

They established a new structure and a priory, which was given up in 1978 again.

Since 2006  the community of the Brothers of the Sacred Blood have lived in Aufhausen have well revivified the old tradition of the Oratory.

CSU Politician: The Gay Lobby is "Aggressive and Intolerant"

Attacks against the opponents of  marriage being equated with  homosexualy disordered relationships show that the sodomists who cry the loudest for tolerance are those who can not bear opinions other than their own.

(kreuz.net) In the debate about marriage equality of homosexual depravity the CSU Bundestag representative, Norbert Geis (72) complains about the "aggressive and intolerant" manner of discussion.

Is it possible to reasonably discuss anything with homosexuals?

The attacks against the opponents of homosexual marriage often demonstrate, "that precisely those who cry the loudest for tolerance, could not bear opinions other than their own."

This was written by Geis in a commentary for the edition of the Berlin weekly, 'Junge Freiheit' for the coming Thursday.

A factual discussion is not possible for that reason.

The privilege of the family is in the Constitution

The demand that the state has to protect marriage and families in a special way, is in the German Constitution.

This can not be distorted into discrimination against homosexually disturbed couplings.

Then this allows the "small, but vocal homosexual lobby no opportunity, to force equality with marriage and family",  criticized the law expert.

This tendency to leveling is unfortunately reinforced by various decisions in the Federal Constitutional Courts.

Clown Masses Are Outdated, You Say?

Edit: someone was just saying the other day that the clown Mass was an outdated thing which is no longer in use.  These things happen all the time in various locales.  This one is taking place in Germany and was reported by the German District's official website.

This story comes hard on the Sicilian Bishop who wears ugly Armani vestments, and the Dominican who wears a Steelers stole.  Heresy Hunter wonders if the company that made the ugly stole is an official church goods supplier?

We must also timidly ask if Herr Pfarrer Eulenspiegel will also have to sign a Doctrinal Preamble?

[piusinfo] The picture of the week shows the pastor of Hopfen am See (Ostallgäu)at the ambo dressed as a Merry Trickster (Eulenspiegel).

At evening Liturgy on Saturday, so reported the newspaper, and at the Mass on Sunday, the Catholic clergyman preaches in this clothing at the Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul.

One really doesn't have to be a traditionalist to recognize the the cheap attempt to curry favor which is taking place here in the house of the most Holy.

In the commentary of Mr. Guratzsch on welt.online (pius.info reports)it reads: "Where communities give up their buildings, the altar becomes a cooking table, the Liturgy is replaced by breakfast, the retreat to self by degrees is a cumulative process." It's exactly as one could say: where the pastor believes he can make the pulpit into a carnival stage then the holiness is lost. Because the people know exactly that at the actual carnival something else completely takes place, and that the pastor is only trying obsessively to cut the carpet, at the cost of his real mission.

Poor Catholic Church.  How much longer?

Nuncio Complains that German Church Does Not Listen to the Pope

Bonn (kath.,net/KNA)  The ambassador of the Pope in Germany is concerned about the future of the Catholic Church in the Bundesrepublik.  "The Pope suffers from an persistently closed attitude toward him in Germany," said the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Jean-Claude Perisset, in an interview published in the "Zeit" on Wednesday.  It is a "great loss", that the Church in Germany hears the Pope so little.

The Nuncio expressed himself critically about the dialog process in the Catholic Church. "Conflict in the Church is the wrong way.  But dialog is not a conflict, but the opposite".  Whoever only values his own position,  doesn't engage in dialog.  It would be a courageous step of the Bishops, to seek a discussion with the people of the Church.  "Only those who want to turn the Church on its head, are those who do not want dialog."

With a view to the debate surrounding the Kirchensteuer [Church tax], the Nuncio said, the Church in the Bundesrepublik is "sometimes is too concerned with managing resources and forgets the announcing of the good news.".  As to the question for the reason for empty churches and few priestly vocations Perisset recalled that this is not a malfunction of the institution of the Church;  the reasons lay in the mentality of people and in erroneous beliefs.  "We need a new culture of community, of believing together.  For that reason we need also great celebrations like World Youth Day or Papal Masses in the Olympiastadion.  They show: you are not alone."

At the same time, Perisset insisted that the Church must adjust itself in its announcing the faith in today's environment.  "We say things that people don't understand any more.  We must return to the basic elements of the Faith and freshly explain these with simple words in colorful language."  The restoration of the faith has to "come again from the family, so that we might remake the Church.  If the grandparents don't take their grandchildren along, if the adults do not discuss the faith, if the faith is not developed in the family, then there is no future."

Freiburg: Three First Masses in Three Years!

A close, close examination reveals:  not a single one of the new priests did himself enter into the absurd seminary in their home diocese.

(kreuz.net, Villingen) Last Sunday Father Francesco Riegger of the Priestly Society of St. Peter celebrated his first Mass in the Old Rite in the medieval Cathedral of Villingen-Schwenningen.

This was reported by the German lay community, 'pro-missa-tridentina.org'.

Father Rieggger grew up in Villingen.  The 80,000 population city of Villingen-Schwenningen is in south western Baden-Wurttemberg.  It belongs to the desolate Archdiocese of Freiburg.

The Normal Sunday Mass

The first Mass took the place of the usual Sunday Mass.

Father Jérôme Bücker of the Societhy of St. Peter explained the differences and similarities of the Mass of All Ages at the beginning of the Mass to 350 faithful.

In the traditional Rite Communion is received only on the tongue, explained Father.

The drawback

The pastor at the Cathedral in Villingen is the Dean Josef Fischer.

He informed people during the greeting that he would shell out modern hand Communion in the clerestory.

This is forbidden in the Old Mass.

A priest glut?

In Villingen-Schwenningen is the home of origin for nine new priests "almost unheard of any more" -- explained the site 'summorum-pontificum.de' this Friday.

Because in the last two years there were two home parish first Masses.

IN 2010 Fr. Marius Simiganovschi and last year Fr. Marc Kalisch were ordained.

They're all refugees from the Diocese

Surely, none of the priests saying their first Masses (Primizianten) came from the Old Liberal seminary of Freiburg.

Fr. Simiganovschi and Fr. Kalisch belong to the Archdiocese of Vaduz.

They were ordained by the battle hardened Msgr Wolfgang Haas of Liechtenstein.

Pope Complained of German Bishops Forsaking Him

The Vaticanleak Book is a Hastily Built, Chaotic and Untrammeled Thing

It is to laugh:  As the Church-hate media use Bishop Richard Williamson as a pretext to get started on the Pope, he expects backing from the German Judas-Bishops. -kreuz.net

(kreuz.net, Vatican)  The book from Italian journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi, armed with books from the 'Vatican Leaks', is a hastily knit messy framework.

This was established by the German news "Welt" yesterday.

Nuzzis' book is entitled "Sua Santita -- Le Carte Segrrete di Benedetto XVI" -- Or, His Holiness -- the Secret Letters of Benedict XVI.

It was published two weeks ago.

"Only civilly married"

Nuzzis' book cites hundreds of secret documents or memos and handwritten notes from the Pope.

The facsimile of thirty confidential letters are in the appendix at the end.

Many of the  papers are confidential letters concerned only with Italian affairs -- "a dinner between the Pope and the President of Italy, also the dismissal of the chief editor of 'Avvenire', the newspaper of the Italian bishops' conference,"  says the newspaper.

At dinner with the ex-Communist and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano they discussed family law, euthanasia, abortion and children.

There is only one note about the Italian president on the Vatican document, "Only married civilly."

Massive Donation Slump

Another letter comes from the emeritus Cardinal Paolo Sardi (76) -- the Pro-Patron of the Order of Malta.

He criticized the poor coordination of the various departments in the Vatican.

A letter of the Papal delegate to the beleaguered congregation of the Legionaries of Christ, Cardinal Velasio De Paolis (76) reported on the massive donation slump of the order and their severe financial situation.

A protest against the Pope insultress

A memo to the German Nuncio, Archbishop Jean-Claude Perisset, asked for "a clear word of protest" directed at the Bundeschancellor Angela Merkel.

This statement refers to her interference in the lifting of the Excommunications against the four Bishops of the Society of St. Pius X in 2009.

The chapter on the German Chancellor contained seven pages.

Benedict XVI noted himself in his report the word "media tsunami".

In Nuzzis' book, there were also conflicts specified  between the Old Liberal Mainz Cardinal Karl Lehmann and the Pope.

But there's even more -- at 'Weltbild'

In an interview with the German 'Tageschau' Nuzzi said that onoly some documents in his book come from the Pope himself.

During the media scandal regarding Bishop Richard Williamson the Pope personally criticized to the German Nuncio that the German Judas-Bishops did not defend him. [Remember when Father Schmidberger of the SSPX did just that?]

Nuzzi explained still more that there were still more documents regarding "Weltbild" [The pornography distributor of the German Bishops].

This information could be included in a planned German version of the work.

Goal: "Celebrate the Old Mass in All Churches"

Deutschland.  Yesterday the Society Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais conosecrated a new church in the 21,000 population city Schramberg--- fifty kilometers north east of Freiburg.  About 300 traditionalists were present.  The newspaper 'nrwz-online.de' noticed that "quite a few young families" were present.  In his sermon Msgr Tissier de Mallerais, encouraged the rebuilding of the Church step by step.  The goal is to celebrate the Old Mass again in all Catholic churches.

Enemies of the Church Don't Shrink From Using Violence

Not a Synagogue?  That's ok, then.

The hate filled media pogrom against the Church is bearing fruits:  In NS-Germany a Church is repeatedly damaged on different occasions.

(kreuz.net)  A view at the desolation greeted the visitoors on Thursday to the Catholic church oof St. Micheal in Oberndorf.

This was according to the website 'schwarzwaelder-bote.de' on the 18th of May.

Oberndorf am Neckar is a 14,500 population city in the vicinity of Rottweil in Baden-Wurttemberg.

In the Holiest Place

Unknown perpetrators raged above all in the altar space. (not really a sanctuary)

The Easter candle lay broken into individual pieces and strewn all over the floor.

There are two large puddles in the altar space.

The criminals sprayed water from spray cans taken from an adjoining room and in various places water was poured from the Eastern water font.

Were the Perpetrators Minors?

The church was attacked just before Easter.

Then one of the church vandals trod on an altar cloth and left a foot imprint.

"It wasn't especially large",  said the site, citing lay representative Helga Dlugosch.

She suspected that the crime had been committed by minors.

Vandalism Even DURING the Liturgy

Miss Dlugosch regularly appears in a grey alb with a green stole as a sash on the altar.

In this attire she plays the Deacness or standing co-celebratrix.

At the changing of bread and wine, she stands with her hands folded inclining herself in the direction of the altar.

Antifa-Neonazis Attack SSPX Church

Paint Ball Attack on Pius Church
in Stuttgart

(kreuz.net) "In the night of the 9th to the 10th of May we attacked Society of St. Pius X structures located in Stuttgart-Feuerbach."

That's how the Antifa-Neonazi website 'linksunten.indymedia.org' bragged on the 10th of May.

The entrance was made against the enemies of freedom and the open society.

The Headquarters of the German District

The Priory of St. Athanasius has been located in  Stuttgart-Feuerbach since 1981.

Since 1984 it has served as the Headquarters of the German District of the Society of Pius X.

The largest component of this Priory is the now Antifa-Neonazi painted Baroque church of St. Mary of the Assumption.  It was under construction from 1990-1995.

An Israeli Speaker

The occasion for the crime was a lecture at 'Conservative Action Stuttgart' on the theme "Self-Destruction of Europe".

The lecturer was the Israeli enemy of Islam, publicist Manfred Kleine-Hartlage (45) from Berlin.

Kleine-Hartlage publishes the blog 'korrektheiten.com'.

Communist Church Destroyer

"Who insists that the state is trying to orchestrate an event against the right, to legitimize the street troops of the Antifa, suffers from paranoia." --- explained the website 'sezession.de'.

The 'Conservative Action Stuttgart' explained:

"Probably for the first time since the end of the Brown and Reed dictatorship in Germany was a sacred structure attacked and damaged by Communist sympathizers."

Blasphemy: German Parish Displays Pornographic "Art"

Diocese of Münster:  The hate of the Conciliar Sect in the Church is put on display -- it shows itself in sexual depravity and an aversion to the holy.  In the Diocese of the Lion, no less..

(kreuz.net, Münster) From the 26th of February to the 15th of April a pornography expedition was held in the church of St. Erpho in Münster, Westphalia.

The pornography expedition bore the misleading title "Between Caritas and Eros -- Love".

Really Infamous

One of the church sponored "paintings" features a woman raising her shirt to reveal her bare breasts that's been smeared on an old Mass book.  The page on which this is done is August 9th, the Feast of St. John Vianney.

Women are portrayed as playthings in various nakedly erotic themes in sick sex fantasies.  Of course, you can bet that the argument against philistinism will be employed.

Kreuznet goes into some detail about the various paintings and has pictures at its website, they are clearly pornographic and blasphemous.

It's one thing when those who are not Catholic mock our beliefs, but it's especially incredible when those who are sworn to defend and declare the Catholic Faith, as clearly the pastor of this parish was sworn to do, promote such blasphemy themselves.

SSPX Germany: Letter Holds Out "Justifiable Hope" for Reconciliation

Reading from the pulpit of all the Churches and Chapels of the German District of the Society of St. Pius X. As translated from District website:

Dear Faithful,

On the 16th of March Cardinal Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for Doctrine and the Faith, presented a letter with clarifications in Rome, to the General Superior of the Society, Bishop Fellay, in which we will be called upon, to give a final affirmation of the Doctrinal Preamble of September 14th, as it has happened till now.

The final deadline for an answer is going to be April 15th, 2012. Certainly you have surely already learned this partly in the media. We are therefore arriving at a decisive point.

If the letter also has struck an unpleasant [unangenehmen] tone, yet it indeed gives justifiable hopes for a peaceful solution. In case this situations happens, it would strengthen all of the important protective powers in the Church; in the other case, these would be significantly weakened and demoralized. Therefore, what is uppermost is not our Society, rather the health of the entire Church.

For this reason we ask the fervent, persistent and beseeching prayers from all of our faithful and all Catholics, so that God, through the salvific sufferings of His only begotten son, leads His Church from Her crisis, and gives her in the holy resurrection of Jesus new life, new strength and blooming.

One Third of Seminarians in France are Connected toTradition

Bishop Dominique Rey of Toulon-Frejus
Edit: there was a take by the kreuz.net which fleshed out some of the report on Germany a bit more with a bit more of a positive outlook, considering that Econe is the largest seminary in the German speaking Zone.  Another thing is Messa in Latino's observation that the more the Bishops, even the Liberal ones, use the Traditional priests, the more vocations they get.

At least in France, even the Liberal Bishops have a use for Traditionalists.  In Germany at present, it appears that only the beleaguered Bishop Vitus Huonder is putting his Traditional priests to work.

Here's the translation:

(Paris)  In the academic year 2011/12 710 seminarians are preparing themselves for the priesthood in France.  That is down from the previous year's 732 candidates at about a decline of three percent, since the 2009/10 year already had 756 candidates.

In comparison the number of seminarians since the end of World War II till the end of the Council, were as much as six times as high.  In 1966, the year in which the Pastoral Council ended, France had 4536 seminarians. After the outbreak of the 68 Revolution it was not more than 1297.  In 2005, the year of the election of Pope Benedict XVI., it was 785.  "The decline has stopped , yet so long as there is a spirit in the parish communities unfavorable to vocations with little benevolence for the priesthood, it prevents discovery", says Liturgique Pax.

Lowest Number of Seminarians Since the French Revolution

Of the 710 Diocesan seminarians, there are number 65 foreign students, who are studying in France, the majority of these are studying for their home Diocese.   In the representation, the 60 seminarians from the Community of St. Martin aren't counted, who are all preparing for the ministry in French Diocese. In sum, the number of 710 seminarians is a snap shot of the current situation and corresponds to the lowest number since the French Revolution.  Just to stopping there though only shows half of the truth.  Within the French seminary, a fundamental upheaval taking place.

Development of the Priestly Ordination in the Diocese

96 priests were ordained in 2010 (excepting religious orders).  Initially the Commission report of the Bishops' Conference also allowed for the traditional Ecclesia Dei communities.  A further sign for the normalization and gradual recognition of the communities of Tradition as a secure part of the Church.  The next step will be a more explicit naming and not only a silent submissiveness.

In 2011 there were in France 111 Diocesan priests ordained (2010 was 96, 2009 was 89) .  This is careful to include the Society of St. Martin's  increase of 15 ordinations over the previous year, or an increase of 15.6 percent.  In any case, it can't be read as a general trend.  In 2011 there were merely 77 Deacons ordained,   who are to be ordained priests in the year 2012.

The Soil from Which Vocations Flower is Damaged -- Yet Improvement is in View

Comparing the newly ordained to the retired clergy,  will put the scale of a "damaged landscape" (Paix Liturgie) in stark view.  There are about 100 newly ordained for the loss of 800 priests in death.  The Community of St. Martin is placed under "new communities" of Tradition next.  The Community celebrates the Liturgy in the ordinary form of the Roman Rite but in Latin, it uses the Gregorian choral,   Thomism and promotes among its seminarians a healthy disposition to the Extraordinary Form of the Mass [Immemorial Rite].  They have experienced an extraordinary blooming.  The Society numbers today  60 seminarians in comparison to the 43 of last year and are receiving ever more pastoral assignments from the Bishops.  There are often requests for priests from the Diocese, even the "progressive" Diocese.  The times of caution, as with the Bishop of Bayeux with a categorical "St. Martin in my Diocese, never!", is past for this Society.

The Little Diocese of Frejus-Toulon and the large Archdiocese of Paris Lead in the Number of Seminarians

Among all French Diocesan Seminaries, two Diocese and a inter-Diocesan seminary stand in the front rank.  If one were to give them a rank, then you'd have to give three first places.   It involves the seminary of the Diocese of Toulon-Frejus and the Archdiocese of Paris.  In both there are more than 70 seminarians preparing themselves.  When one considers that Frejus-Toulon, it is one of the smallest Diocese in France and that the Archdiocese of Paris is so many times larger, makes the extraordinary flowering of the Diocese from the south of France clear.  It is noticeable that the "sensibility" of the Bishops of both Diocese is very different from most seminarians.  The Bishop of Frejus-Toulon is explicitly close to tradition. The number of Parsian seminarians sank under Archbishop Francois Cardinal Marty (1968-1981) to a minimum of 50, experienced under Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger (1981-2005) a spike with almost a doubling, which under the reigning Archbishop André Armand Kardinal Vingt-Trois in 2007 back down to 54 and then rose to over 70 seminarians.  In the meantime the priest shortage has become appreciable in Paris, while in the surrounding areas it is positively dramatic.

The Communities of Tradition and Their Development

How does the situation look for Traditional communities?  It will only consider those societies whose status is comparable to that of Diocesan priests.  As with the Diocesan seminaries the Propaedeuticum doesn't get any consideration and only the French are counted in the statistical survey, but not foreign seminarians, who study in France.  Initially it is to be established that these two groups will be classified:  on the one side the official Ecclesia Dei Communities, which are known to be in union with Rome, on the other side is the Society of St. Pius X, whose present status in the Catholic Church is still not clarified.

The Ecclesia Dei Communities have 91 seminarians in France as of 2011, preparing for the priesthood.  Their number is largely stable.  It is a considerable number if one considers how slowly the number of parishes and pastoral assignments entrusted to them by the Bishops  were offered and  thus hindered their development.

The Society numbers 49 French seminarians in 2011.  Their portion has held consistently for years at aabout a third of all the seminarians (15) who are in the Society founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.

280 of 710 Seminarians are Connected to Tradition

All together, the communities of Tradition have 140 French seminarians, who are preparing for the priesthood.  That includes exactly the number of seminarians, who are connected to Tradition in the Diocesan seminaries preparing to be priests.

In 2011 the traditional societies had ordained 18 priests all together, seven for the Ecclesia Dei Communities and eleven for the Society of St. Pius X.  In 2010 there were 16 new priests in total, of which 8 were for the Ecclesia Dei Communities and 8 for the Society of St. Pius.

The communities of Tradition in the strict sense consist of a sixth of all French seminarians.  Then if one counts the communities of Tradition with the seminarians connected to tradition, then every third seminarian in France is connected to Tradition.

The total number of Traditionally connected seminarians demonstrate a double positive trend.  They show indeed a slow but steady rate of growth up (2005: 120, 2007:130, 2009: 140, 2010 yet 144)   The tempo corresponds to their increasingly unrestricted use in the Diocese.  What the Community of St. Martin has already itself experienced ,  have the other societies yet to experience.  They will be ignored by the Diocesan Bishops and they are refused entrance in Parishes.  Although in these Communities of young ordained and educated priests are ready for pastoral care, they don't get into action. This continuous ostracism in turn brakes their own growth.  The more the Tradition connected priests are assigned to parishes, the more priestly vocations they are going to get, said Paix Liturgique about the publication of the statistics.

France -- Germany:  Same Repurcussions, Same Reasons

In comparison to facts, that a third of the Seminarians in the westerly neighbors who are bound to tradition know, and who also prepare for the celebration of the Old Rite of the Catholic Church,  the situation is almost like a wasteland.  The reason, which impedes the development of Tradition in France, is just as valid, only much stronger in the German Lands.  The Society of St. Peter, an Ecclesia Dei Community and thus a officially traditional within the Church,  is followed by young, faithful and well educated priests, who are not accepted by the Bishops either in Germany, Austria or Switzerland for pastoral service in parishes.  The entrusting of Father Peter Ramm of the Society of St. Peter by the Bishop of Chur, Msgr Vitus Huonder, with the responsibility for one of the two personal parishes erected by the Bishop of Chur for the purpose of the Old Rite, is a first step to tear down this wall of ostracism.

German SSPX Recommends Not Paying Church-Tax

A large part of the money is used so that 'all of the lay organizations, counsellors and functionaries can be paid, which basically work to destroy the Church' --  leaving is limited to a 'Legal entity according to the law'.

Stuttgart (kath.net/KNA)  The traditional Society of St. Pius X is calling upon "Catholics true to Tradition", not to pay any more Church-tax and to give the money instead to 'those works which are true to Tradition and the Church'.  In the March edition of their "Bulletin" there is a form with which a person can declare their 'Exit from the Church'.

In clairification, it is specified that it is limited to leaving "soley and exclusively the Church as public and legal entity".  The reason they give is the "abuse of Church-tax money", which is used "for the destruction of the Faith of the Church".

A large part of the money is used for that, "to pay each of the lay organizations, counsellors and functionaries who are basically destroying the Church," it says.  The money should be applied instead "to those works which remain true to Tradition and therefore to continuing the building of the Church."

The Society of St. Pius X bases itself in its recommendation to exit on Rome.  In the eight page dossier of the Stuttgart published "Bulletin" appears under the heading "Remain Catholic Without Church-tax" referernces a clarification of the Papal Council for Legal Documents, according to which it clarifies that exit from the Church according to state recognition does not result in excommunication, therefore suffices for being stripped of all rights in the Church.  This 2006 "Clarification" the German Bishops refused to obey.

The President of the German Bishops' Conference, Archbishop Robert Zollitsch, briefly explained that the German Catholic Bishops are in "discussions at this point with Rome".  Zollitsch is confident, "that we we will come to a way of going forward that will be bearable for everyone."

Wurzburg: Blasphemy on Display Reveals the Modernism

The Conciliarism leads to this: it attempts to lead the world to believe, that our Savior Jesus Christ has no place in it.
© Markus Hauck (POW)

(kreuz.net) The Diocese of Wurzburg is displaying in its Cathedral museum  a mockery of the Last Super on a permanent basis.

The Diocese of Wurzburg reported that today,

The abomination was born of the Munich painter and stage builder, Henning von Gierke (64).

Faces from the Familiar

The faces on the figures of the Last Supper mockery have been borrowed from his immediate surroundings.

So it is that on this picture his wife, both of his children and his mother are depicted.

Christ is Absent

The male and female pictures of the Last Supper parody are partly clothed and partly unclothed.

A naked man lies under the table.

The place of Christ in the Last Supper mockery is empty.

In the mean time a projector will play the face of the current visitor, even as he sits on the bench before the abomination.

Ivory Tower Bloviating

The art director of the Diocese of Wurzburg, Jurgen Lenssen, dutifully praised the representation.

They present existential questions -- he blundered on.

The naked figures were allegedly meant to represent "the woundedness of people".

Whoever steps into the room will be drawn into the "stage of life" and must find a place there:

"The Last  Super to me, everything, where the celebration of life happens" --  Lennssen dissolves the core even of Christianity into nothing.

Flawed YouCat Youth Catechism by Flawed Cardinal Selling Well

Edit: The Catechism published by the German Bishops' pornography distributor, Weltbild, seems to be enjoying a great deal of popularity despite questions about its truthfulness to Catholic teaching. It is the brainchild of Cardinal Schoenborn.

Best selling Catholic book worldwide?

New Youth Catechism

The following comes from a February 23 story by the Catholic News Agency

The co-creator of the Church’s catechism for young people has revealed that it's now the top selling Catholic book in the world.

“The latest figures show that Youcat has sold 1.7 million copies worldwide. It’s been a great success in nearly every country where it has been published,” said German publisher Bernard Meuser in a Feb. 23 interview with the Catholic News Agency.

“For example, it is number one in Spain, number one in America, and number one in Germany along with the Pope’s latest book.”

Liturgical Abuse: Mardigras Mass in Germany

Edit: Ochsenhausen (Oberschwaben) A reader of piusbruderschaft.de sent a video he took with his camera to them. It follows a request by the German District of the SSPX for a halt to these blashemous and disrespectful practices of "Fools' Masses" or Mardigras Masses.

There is a five minute film below with some poor sound and visual quality, but it shows you the basic story. Mardigras (Fasching) Liturgies are extremely popular in some parts of Germany it seems. In point of fact, often playing the fool, many Secular and Order priests actually contradict the Second Vatican Council's decree on the Liturgy especially in so far as it specifically states that neither priests nor even bishops may alter its decrees and make changes.  Don't forget, rules don't apply to them (Liberals), they can do whatever they want.

The pastor, Dean Sigmund Schaenzel, presided over the liturgical abuse in a part of Germany called Schabia. He only uses the ambo once a year, and this year he threw flowers from it and the manuscript for his speach. The theme of this Mass, which included "schunkling" by the laity, which is a Doctor Seuss kind of thing where people link arms and sway back and forth to the music, alternating directions between rows.  It's really neat.  The theme for the Mass reads, "fall out of the frame". Everything about it is demeaning and whatever the intentions of the priest, these things clearly demean the Sacraments and make a mockery of the Vatican Council itself.

Interview Kath.net: SSPX German Superior Says Hermeneutic Must Go Farther [Part I]

Edit: This is truly one of the most respectful interviews we've ever seen. Doctor Schibach is almost sympathetic to Father Schmidberger, who gets to state his position and gets a good hearing. The interesting thing is Doctor Schwibach's mention of the unifying quality of the truth, and Father Schmidberger's citation of the measure of the truths of the Faith, "everywhere, always and by everyone". N.B. kath.net customarily drops the title of Father after the first mention.

Kath.net -- exclusive interview with the German District Superior of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X.  Father Franz Schmidberger FSSPX:  The previous teaching office must be the criterium for the expressions of Vatican II.  by Armin Schiwbach

Rome (kath.net/as) In a thorough interview the District Superior of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X. explains the essential points and contents of the efforts to reach full unity with the Holy See.

kath.net: With the arrival of a "Doctrinal Preamble" on the 14th of September 2011, the over one year long doctrinal discussion between the Holy See and the Society of St. Pius X (FSSPX) reached its formal conclusion. As the Secretary of the Papal Commission "Ecclesia Dei', Prelate Guido Pozzo, had established a point in time, the text of fthe Preamble had been considered, that the Superior of the FSSPX after an in depth analysis could come to aa principally positive and agreeable answer. There is the possibility of seeking further precision and clarity and integrating the text. It is however conclusive that the substance of the Preamble will undergo changes.

In his Sermon on the 2nd of February 2012 at "St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary" in Winona (Minnesota USA) Bishop Bernard Fellay explained, he had been somewhat constrained, to say no to the Preamble: "We will not sing it. We quite agree with the principles, but we also find that the conclusion is the opposite."

How can there be a principle agreement to contradictory conclusions and what are these?

Schmidberger: This occurs when everything in the world, with desire instead of understanding, that one sees that Vatican II is in full harmony with the previous teaching office. And for that one has found a magical expression: "Hermeneutic of Continuity". I will give and example of this:

In "Lumen Gentium" it says in § 1, that the Church is a Sacrament of the unity of mankind. But where in Holy Scripture, by which Church Father, in which Papal utterance and in which Council has there anything like this to be read? The Church is therefore disposed to build the mystical Body of Christ and to grant to souls the supernatural Faith and life of Grace, but not also to an inner-worldly human brotherhood.

Or you might take "Lumen Gentium" Nr. 16: Since when do we pray with Muslims to the one true God? These honor Allah, we, the All Holy Trinity -- that is not the same!

In Nr 8. of the same document it says, the Church of Christ subsistere -- is realized, is embodied in the Catholic Church. Pope Pius XII taught expressly in full communion with the teaching office until Vatican II: The Church of Christ is the Catholic Church.

In "GAudium et Spes", the famous Pastoral Constitution, it says in Nr 12, that the goal and the focus of all things on earth is man. In my old Catechism, I read, that the goal and focus of all things on earth is God. Even this is not the same.

In the Decree on Ecumenism it says in § 3, that the Holy Ghost esteems other creeds, as instruments of sanctification. If that's right, then Protestants don't need to convert and no Orthodox need accept Papal Primacy.

In the explanation of Religious Freedom it says in § 2 that man is supposed to have such a right, which is rooted in his worth, therefore also represented in the natural law. This conception is expressly rejected going back to Pope Pius XII. You only need to look at "Quanta Cura" of December *, 1864, where Pius IX castigates such views.

The hermeneutic has to propagate continuity far better, in order to see things brought to their proper light.

kath.net: Catchword: Tradition -- Teaching Office. Pope Benedict XVI identified the living tradition together with the Holy Scriptures as the "highest guide to Faith" 9see. Post Synodal Apostolic Writing "Verbum Domini", 18, see. Dogmatic Constitution "Dei Verbum", 21)

How do we define the relationship between Tradition, the extraordinary Teaching Offfice and the ordinary Teacching Office with respect to the reality of the Second Vatican Council? What and how is "the Tradition" for you?

Schmidberger: The extraordinary Teaching Office is the solemn declaration of an article of Faith, it is through the Pope alone, it is through a General Council under the direction of the Pope.

The ordinary Teaching Office [Magisterium] is the daily prouncement of the faith which is dispersed [verstreuen: implication that there aren't many Bishops out there in union with Rome...] Bishops in unity with the Pope. The Second Vaticum falls in its entirety neither in the former, nor in the latter category, because it did not want to state doctrinal positions, nor to condemn errors; it attempted to bring the past deposit of Faith to modern people and to speak to the modern world in ordinary language. Thus, is every part of infallibility covered, which will be resumed in the infallible declarations, but not innovations at all, as they have been previously shown to be.

Still a word must be said about "living Magisterium": Surely the bearer is living, but public revelation is closed with the death of the last Apostle. Fundamental novelties may not come to pass; there is only a homogeneous development.

kath.net: In a discussion with kath.net the Italian historian and author, Roberto de Mattei explained the book, "The Second Vatican Council. A Story Untold Till Now". (Verlag Kirchliche Umschau 2011):

"The Tradition, which is the "living Magisterium" considered in its Universality and continuity, is itself infallible, while the so-called 'living' Magisterium -- understood as the actual promulgation of the Church's hierarchy -- this is only so under certain qualifications. The Tradition is placed, to wit always, under the divine assistance; for the Magisterium only employs this when it expresses itself extraordinarily or when it teaches in an ordinary form, the doctrinal continuity in a particular time -- or moral reality."

Is it possible for you, in the foundation of these present upheavals to take up a productive "struggle" for a new affirmation of the truth?

Schmidberger: This would in fact seem to be exactly the way in which one can become united; we have proposed nothing else as a foundation for the doctrinal discussions with the Holy see: The past teaching office must be the criterium for the concepts of Vatican II. The reversed approach, that would make Vatican II a criterium for earlier declarations, is putting the horse before the cart and leads to contradiction and confusion.

Perhaps one should go at this point to St. Vinent of Lerins with his "Commonitorium".   What he says is this: "What will a Catholic Christian do, (...) if some new contagion didn't just affect a small part, rather that it looked to infect at the same time the entire Church? Then  he would take care even so on this, to hold fast to the ancient Faith, which may never be misled by deceptive novelty." Thus he realizes his Catholic Faith, "quod ubique, quod semper, quod ab omnibus, creditum est". -- what was everywhere, what was always, what was believed by everyone.

Fr. Schmidberger Calls on Germany's Priests to Stop Liturgical Abuses and Quotes Vatican II

(Berlin) In the past years there have been celebrations of so-called "Faschings Liturgies" [Mardigras]  in various areas in the German speaking areas.

The Society of St. Pius X in Germany is appealing "with insistence" to "all priests" on Sunday before Ash Wednesday to forbid  "Faschings Liturgies".   The critics from the Society are concerned about "blatant abuses" , which have "slithered" into parishes.  "With the intention of offering church visitors diversions, many priests have begun to introduce Faschings elements into the Liturgy" and enter dressed as clowns at the altar.  "In many places there are Mardigras bands in the churches, where people link arms and sway back and forth, where Mardi Gras songs are sung and the sermon is a fool's speech," so says the German District of the Society.

The District Superior, Father Franz Schmidberger, stressed in his broadcast that he wasn't criticizing Carvinal, which bears a special expression of Catholicism.  The Carnival must in any case by separate from the Catholic Liturgy.  "Don't you have anything at home to eat and drink?",  cites the Society the Apostle Paul's 1st Letter to the Cornithians (11,22), in order to ask, if there are not community centers or party halls, in order to celebrate, to sway and give fool's speeches?

"The Mass is not some community celebration, rather it is the most mysterious, most holy presence of the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, made present by the Flesh and Blood of the Son of God on the Altar.  It's not the place for informal greetings, confetti and false noses!"

The Superior of the Society of St. Pius X in Germany recalled then, that "Faschings Liturgies" are as much against the "liturgical order of Tradition", as they are also "against the prescriptions of the Second Vatican Council".  In the Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium of the Second Vatican Council, it says further: "The Holy Liturgy is above all a prayer to God" (SC 33) and:  "The regulation of the Liturgy only in accordance with the authority of the Church; and  indeed the Holy see in accordance with the law and the Bishop."  (SC 22 § 1)

The SSPX calls upon the priests in Germany, "to finish the disgrace of Carvinal Liturgies" and asks "the Bishops to defend the sanctity of the Sacrifice of the Mass again." Text: Giuseppe Nardi Image: Church Circle Paderborn.de Link to katholisches....

Augsburg: Fr. Oblinger Gets Promotion from Bishop

Edit: Kreuz.net thinks he is still being treated unfairly by his Bishop and insists that loyalty at the expense of the truth is not Catholic.

"As far as the loyalty I have to my Bishop, I haven't allowed a single doubt This is the central point of lived Catholicity," said Pastor Oblinger.

Augsburg (kath.net/pba) Bishop Konrad Zdarsa has assigned Alois Oblinger, who received ban from writing for "Junge Freiheit" a few weeks ago, to a new pastoral assignment. Pastor Oblinger, who has since 2004 been Pastor and director of the Parish Community of Ichenhausen, will be moving 1. September 2012 to Bodensee. In Lindau he will take over from Monsignor Ortwin Gebauer the only parish community in the Diocese of Augsburg which includes and island, the Parish Community Lindau. As Parish Community Lindau, there are two Parishes, Basilica of Our Dear Lady in Linda, Maria Queen of Peace in Lindau-Zech and St. Josef in Lindau-Reitin.

Pastor Oblinger is overjoyed over the new assignment, which Bishop Zdarsa had assigned him and regretted a message from the Diocese that the Bishop had caught fire over an "internal personnel" decision in some circles. "It is a shame that in the past weeks, various sides have attempted to put a wedge between Bishop Zdarsa and myself. As far as the loyalty I have to my Bishop, I haven't allowed a single doubt," he said in a message.

George Alois Oblinger was born in Saarlouis in 1967. In 1995 he was ordained a priest and was active till 1997 as a Chaplain in Donauwörth. Coincidentally he was assigned a benefice in 1999 in Immenstadt and also active since 1999 as Pastor in Bliensbach tätig. In 2004 he was the Pastor of Oblinger and director of the Parish Community of Ichenhausen.

Germany: Married Protestant [?] Instructor Acquitted of Molesting 14 Year Old Girl

Edit: Neuwied is a town with a population of about 64,318 in Rheinland-Pfalz. There are few Catholics in Rheinland-Pfalz because it was one of those districts in Germany which became Protestant at the time of the Revolt as a result of the Treaty of Westphalia. What the article below and all subsequent articles dealing with the tale won't tell you is that the school is run by Protestants. If it had been a Catholic priest who had committed this deed, he'd be facing prison and the story would be in the Spiegel and Time Magazine for sure.

The comments are pretty interesting. One of them even took a swipe at the Catholic Church while defending the married perpetrator at the same time. There are many who are more upset about puritanical American attitudes than they are that a fourteen year old was victimized by her teacher.

A teacher who seduced a 14-year-old schoolgirl and had sex with her at least 22 times has escaped punishment after a German court ruled that as he did not teach her class, he had not abused his position.
The decision was described on Wednesday as a “catastrophe” by the head teacher of the school in Neuwied in Rhineland Palatinate, while the girl’s parents said they were “totally devastated” – and furious there was no chance to take the case further.

[The Local] Generally people over 21 can have sex with 14-year-olds unless they abuse the younger partner's "lack of capacity for sexual self-determination" or are in position of power over them.

The district court in Koblenz overruled a 2010 conviction of sexual abuse of a ward – and lifted the accompanying two-year suspended sentenced handed down by other, lower courts, because the judges decided the man was not her teacher.
