Now he has finally had his short lived media fame, about which he can only dream as the writing director of the dust covered magazine he rode into the ground, 'Theologisches'.

Presently, he's let himself be passed off from gossip magazine to gossip magazine. This week, he was celebrated by the German church-hate magazine 'Spiegel".
The homosexually disturbed man named his price, as he explained for the hate-magazine that the old Mass had been the "gateway drug" to the Church: "At 17 I was with the Society of Pius X in Lower Bavaria."
His present public problem with theological and spiritual superficiality was already by then a big problem: "What I experienced there, was the fascinatingly aesthetic baroque dream with gold leaf and pillow lace."
He wasn't able to figure himself out for a long time: "first it later became clear to me, what I had to do there, and the dream became more and more a nightmare."
Berger insinuated with this revelation to his homo-decadent double life.
Homo-neurotics are psychologically very consumed by self-pity, victim rolls and attended by projections.
Berger is no exception.
As a theological double agent he given stick "much more" being put in a supposedly inhuman position -- he laid in with a round of wailing.
Then he played on the German heartstrings telling about the most famous politician of the land: "So, Hitler was praised in that he interned homosexuals in concentration camps where they died."
The dramatic climax: "At some point, I just couldn't stay silent any more."
The scandal journalist who was following all of this took it all in.
Berger portrayed himself before the clueless public of the mass media as a despised primadona.
"Whoever wants to make a career in the Catholic Church must lately, since the entrance of Pope Benedict XVI be anti-modern" --- is his misleading supposition.
He is said to have criticized the "rather progressive and left" church politics of Father Karl Rahner († 1984: "So I could make myself noticeable."
Berger left no doubt then that he was from the beginning a liar and crook, and his double life went with a double moral.
Then he poured himself in a stream of braggadocio: that he portrayed himself as an "expert" in the medieval thinker Thomas of Aquinas and was invited by almost all "extreme right-wing groups:
"I had contact with the Sedevacantists, the Society of St. Peter, the TFP, Una Voce, Opus Dei and the Servants of Jesus and Mary."
These groups were very careful, who they invited -- said Berger and stands as living proof for this assertion:
"They have very noble accomodations, sometimes they stay in former castles put at their disposal, or they meet in fancy hotels."
Old men will then smoke thick cigars, drink expensive red wines and good food: "It is a parallel world, in which one will deplore the modern."
The 'Spiegel' is only modestly interested: "And what isdiscussed?" --- the journalist asked, driving the discussion on.
Berger continued his conspiracy theory: "one talks about the supposed Jewish world domination".
Then he became interested in " the question, how the Church can allow woman's libbers, Freemasons and homosexuals."
Again, this homosexually insane man continued to contradict himself: So he set aside his previous role as the poor homosexual victim and insisted as if for the first, that his perversion had been "career enhancing".
In any event he never made an ecclesiastical career as a little teacher of religion.
Actually, that wasn't what impeded the ne'er do well to lag in moist, homosexual daydreams: "In clerical circles one can always who by making pointed glances, hugs, caresses on the arm and excessively long holding of the hands that one doesn't only treasure my work" -- he projected.
He laments his unfulfilled desires: "and insists that many prelates are homosexually inclined, and have surely offered their assistance to help with new positions of employment and assistance."
But in reality the religion teacher Berger will never occupy any other ecclesiastical office.

We've never been real certain about where kreuz.net stands on a lot of things, but one thing, they've always been reliable about the information and news. Opus Dei Definitely Advocates Condom Use

A further speculation of the protestant journalist and church-hater Micheal Meier, that it would have been Dennis Theurillat (60), has proven itself to be false.

Msgr Gmür hales from Luzern. In May 1999 he was ordained a priest.
Previous to that - from 1997 to 2001 - he worked as the pastoral assistant and then as necktie [secular] priest of the Parish of St. Anton in Basel.
By 2004 he studied Biblical Science at the Jesuit University, the Gregorian in Rome.
Msgr Gmür received a Doctorate in Philosophy on Ludwig Wittgenstein's Aesthetic.
From 2004 to 2006 he was active for two years as a neck tie- Subregent in the old Liberal Seminary in Luzern.
For four years he has been the General Secretary of the Bishops Conference.
Msgr Gmür will be consecrated a Bishop on January 16th in Solothurn.
Basel is the largest Diocese in Switzerland with over one Million members.

Severed animal parts in New Rochelle may be tied to religious rites
A woman taking an afternoon stroll at Glenwood Lake Park in New Rochelle came upon a startling sight: a severed goat head surrounded by the heads of four roosters.
The grisly Nov. 12 discovery came days after the bodies of two decapitated rams, male sheep, were found Nov. 7 at Ward Acres Park. The heads lay nearby.
While no direct link between the two macabre discoveries has been made, investigators said the incidents were the latest in the Lower Hudson Valley linked to ritualistic practices, such as Santeria, an Afro-Caribbean religion that often uses animals for ceremonial sacrifices.

The Liturgical Picnic is At an End: Priest Says Mass Ad Orientem
(kreuz.net, Moosach) Already at the end of July Pastor Wolfan Lehner had put the altar-table at his church St. Michael in Moosach aside. The municipality is 27 Kilometers south-east of Munich.
The website 'merkur-online.de' reports that the Pastor had informed his parishioners of this change in his Christmas letter.
The Upper Bavarian Parish of Moosach belongs to the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
Common Decision
At the end of July the Parish moved the wooden altar-table out of the Church for a concert.
After that the Parish decided to leave the furnishing for a probationary period in the Sacristy till January.
The Parish is very open to the high altar-- explained Fr. Lehner. There is no dictatorial style according to the motto: "We're doing this just so, right now!"

At the same time the wooden altar-table contains no relics.
The table is not even consecrated: "For me as a priest, it is displeasing to consistently use an unconsecrated altar to celebrate the Eucharist" -- says Fr. Lehner.
Apparently, the Church has three fixed altars which were previously unused.
The Victim Priest is not an Facilitator
The liturgical alterations which took place after the repositioning seemed minimal to the pastor: "For the preparation of the gifts, the back side of the altar is used."
The site 'merkur-online.de' defamed the Holy Mass at the High Altar as "a peculiar sight" -- because the congregation, as in the old Liturgy, commonly face in the same direction.
Pastor Lehner explained to the paper, that at the Sacrifice, the priest is not a facilitator or the host of a celebration, who tries to motivate everyone to participate in the 'Praise of God'.
Much more, the celebrant is the first supplicant of the community, who "strengthens their backs".
The Pastor is An Opponent of Church's Language
The pastor wants to go communally with God. The disposing of the altar-table is a symbol of that beginning:
"The altar symbolizes a cross, therefore the community. But in our time, which which everything revoles upon the self, we need a break from the clogging."
The new reorientation shows the goal of the Parish: "a line to a fixed altar, a common way to God."
For the necessary return of the language of the Church, Fr. Lehner will not hear: "certainly not by me".
He has already 'held' [sic, abgehalten] Masses in Latin: "But that breaks down the communication with the community" -- he believes.
Cardinal Burke Censures False Ecumenism at Consistory
Unfortunately, as with the implementation of Sumorum Pontificum, the Motu Proprio freeing up the Immemorial Latin Mass to be said without the interference of liberal Bishops, there are old Liberal Bishops who are blocking the way. Most notable among them is Archbishop Thomas Collins of Toronto, who wants to appoint an existing Roman Bishop to head the Ordinariate, rather than have him be elected from a bi-cameral lay-clerical arrangement. There is also Bishop Peter Elliot of Australia, who wishes to implement changes which basically amount to an oversimplification of the Anglican Liturgy which is, in the words of Maximilian Hanlon, going to make it like a Novus Ordo Liturgy with some Anglican prayers tacked on. We're a little puzzled by this characterization because Bishop Elliot actually seems pretty conservative as illustrated by his article in New Liturgical Movement, as he writes here:
Next year a new ICEL translation of the Mass of the Roman Rite will come into effect. More gracious poetic English will mean that the beauty of the language used in the Ordinariates will not clash with the banal and inaccurate old ICEL “translation” we currently endure.
Ultimately, what these liberal Bishops, like those who Damian Thompson calls the "Magic Circle" in England, intend upon doing is to delay and create impediments to the entrance of Anglicans into full communion with Rome. For like Cardinal Kasper, they would prefer to "dialogue" with Archbishop Rowan and his female clergy, and their assortment of liturgical chipmunks.[Video forthcoming]
It would be a good time to pray, do penance, fast and keep vigil for the good intentions of the Bishops, laity and priests of the incoming members of the Anglican Communion.

The United Nations revised the resolution after pressure from Arab and African States. The nations stricken by Western decadence did not accept the condemnation of the death penalty for reasons of discrimination, however, because of the absence of the clause regarding "sexual orientation".

At issue was a measure on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions adopted by a General Assembly committee. Usually a vote in the committee, which includes all UN members, is tantamount to official passage by the Assembly.
The reference in the three-page draft came in the sixth of 22 paragraphs and urged investigations of all killings “committed for any discriminatory reason, including sexual orientation.” The provision was among many that had been proposed and analyzed by a “special rapporteur” (investigator) on the subject.

Since then many publication deadlines have been announced and gone.
The site 'kathnews' knows why: "The document was already completely revised, but then had to be reworked and corrected on certain points."
A corrected version of the text by the Pope will be produced in the coming days.
The website figures that the regulations for implementation will be ready still before Christmas.

Bishop Williamson Complies with Bishop Fellay's Order

The Superior General, Bishop Bernard Fellay, has learnt by the press of Bishop Richard Williamson’s decision, just ten days before his trial, to dismiss the lawyer charged with his defense, in favor of a lawyer who is openly affiliated to the so-called neo-Nazi movement in Germany, and to other such groups.
Bishop Fellay has given Bishop Williamson a formal order to go back on this decision and to not allow himself to become an instrument of political theses that are completely foreign to his mission as a Catholic bishop serving the Society of Saint Pius X.
Disobedience to this order would result in Bishop Williamson being expelled from the Society of Saint Pius X.

PARIS (Reuters) - A Holocaust survivors group urged Pope Benedict on Saturday to ban an arch-traditionalist bishop from the Catholic Church because he hired a lawyer close to neo-Nazi groups to defend him in court in Germany.
Bishop Richard Williamson, one of four rebel bishops re-admitted to the Church in January 2009, recently hired a far-right lawyer to conduct his appeal against a 12,000 euro fine imposed last year for denying the Holocaust.
His ultra-traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), which is now negotiating its return to the Church with Vatican officials, also threatened to expel Williamson from its ranks if he did not distance himself from Nahrath.

Archbishop Koch Says Protestants Have Rejected Real Purpose of Ecumenism
Cardinal-elect Kurt Koch, the new president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU), has accused Protestants of renouncing the original goal of ecumenism. They have succumbed to a relativistic view of ecclesiology based on shared communion between separate Churches, he said this week, and in doing so have abandoned the proper ecumenical aim of genuine unity.
“It is decisively in this postmodern mentality characterised by pluralistic and relativistic tendencies that is found the great challenge to the search for visible unity of the Church of Jesus Christ,” the Swiss archbishop said on Monday at the opening of the PCPCU plenary assembly in Rome marking the fiftieth anniversary of the pontifical council. In a theologically dense address to his first PCPCU plenary since becoming president last July, he said this mentality was found among not only Protestants but also “many Catholics”.
The PCPCU president, who is to be made a cardinal in today’s consistory, said the current crisis of ecumenism boiled down to what he called the two “profoundly different mentalities” that shape the way Catholics and Protestants describe the nature of the Church.

While, like the Latin Church, the Easterns regard the incorruptibility of a corpse as a sign of sanctification there exists a tradition amongst the Greeks where the bodies of those who died excommunicate remain in a state of preservation. Summers gives many examples of this and rapid or even immediate decay of the body when the absolution is read over it by the bishop. The usual Greek response to a case of vampirism is to give the suspected corpse absolution- if that does not work the body is often dismembered and burned (though the latter may be purely the work of the people who at times seem fearful that the ecclesiastic authority might find out, cremation being banned by the Church and all- in any case the clergy are never present at the burning). While this may seem like odd theology it deserves to be noted that in the West there existed in the liturgical books, until relatively recent centuries, a similar absolution given to the exhumed bodies of excommunicated persons.
It is a universal principle of vampiric folklore that these re-animated corpses are very often those of people who died excommunicate, suicides and witches (this is a popular, if unofficial, reason that is often given for burning witches, apostates and unrepentant heretics as opposed to other methods of execution). Vampirism is quite scarce in Britain, though not unheard of. William of Newburgh, in his Historia rerum Anglicarum, reports that when, sometime in the reign of Richard I, a vampire terrorized the people of Buckinghamshire St. Hugh, Bishop of Lincoln, ordered the body exhumed, found it incorrupt and had it reinterred with an absolution he had written. Needless to say the corpse never again left the grave. Other examples are generally the same- vampire terrorizes people and the body is either exorcised or absolved, or else burned or decapitated (in one case simply buried beneath a Cross).

So, to clarify, he’s not endorsing condoms. He’s saying that it could be the first step of a particular individual to realize that their action is wrong. His example of a male prostitute is very particular. The Church doesn’t believe that male prostitution is a good thing; so it’s not going to endorse anything that would facilitate the behavior even if it’s ostensibly with the good intention of protecting one’s self or another. Catholic resistance to government suppression of Mass in Valle de los Caídos Basilica continues...
Thousands of faithful attended an outdoor Mass in the rain on November 14, 2010 at the Valle de los Caídos. There were so many faithful in attendance that the crowd poured over into El Escorial. Traffic jams were experienced up to 10 km from the Basilica due to the number of faithful in attendance.

Since the death of the last Catholic head of state, Francisco Franco, on November 20th, 1975, the 20th of November has become synonymous with Catholic Spain. Every year throughout the peninsula the anniversary of Franco's death, which also coincides with the death of Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera in 1936, is commemorated.
On a national level, the memorial services in the Valle de los Caidos and the Plaza de Oriente have served as a testimony to the world that Catholicism is not dead in Spain. However, the enemies of God and Spain, have tried to suppress these celebrations and, unfortunately, have had success in doing so.
The attacks on the Valle de Los Caidos culminated with the nefarious “Law of Historical Memory” which prohibits anyone from entering the Basilica grounds with any political or religious regalia. Not only that, but this law has effectively barred visitors from seeing the the largest and most significant architectural monument of the twentieth century. Despite the persecution, due to the heroic resistance of the Benedictine Community that is adjacent to the Basilica, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered outdoors on the grounds near the Basilica.
Due to the prohibition of Mass in the Basilica, the Francisco Franco Foundation has been forced to move their yearly Traditional Latin Mass to the Church of Santa Gema in Madrid at 8:30 p.m.
On the same day the traditional “Christ the King” dinner, which is organized by the Movimiento Católico Espanol and the Acción Juvenil Española, will take place at the Hotel Mayorazgo near Gran Via and Plaza España in Madrid.
On Sunday the 21st the Nation Confederation of Veterans gathering in the Plaza de Oriente will feature speakers such as Blas Piñar as well as patriotic hymns and marches.
The weekend events will conclude with a dinner organized by Fuerza Nueva in the Hotel Centro Norte, near Chamartín Station in Madrid.

(kreuz.net, Limburg) Ten hotheads from time immemorial, old Liberal pastors from the Diocese of Limburg have written and published a hate letter against their Bishop, Msgr Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst.
Their pamphlet was eagerly awaited by the anti-Church media.
The Situation in the Diocese of Limburg is Catastrophic for the Old Liberals
Under the protection of Anonymity one of the snipers blusters from the website 'mittelhessen.de': "The situation in the Dioceese of Limburg is catastrophic. The concern is monstrously large."
The infamous Limburg Judas-Priest, Fr. Hubertus Janssen is using his full name to rail against his Bishop.
Fr. Janssen must not be afraid of anything. For he is under the protection of particular powerful media bosses.
This 1st of December he will be 73 years old when he goes into retirement.
Days before his retirement he will not let "forbid his mouth from speaking" -- bragged 'mittelhessen.de'.
Even two critics, with names presented, are two or three years before their retirement. He had some days ago decried his Bishop for a German anti-Church magazine and earned much applause.
It's a question of Pastor Albert Dexelmann (63) from Runkel in the vicinity of Limburg-Weilburg. He opnly said that, "not much can happen" to him -- for he is also trusting in the potential outrage of the media bosses.
Our Health in the Body of Christ?
The hate letter against the Bishop swelled in emotions, strident vocabulary and painted in black and white.
Since Bishop Tebarttz-van Elst is leading the Diocese, "heads are hanging low" -- is the lamentation.
Meaningful elements, "support our piety", even "our health in the body of Christ" are "everything is carried on in oblique in a very dicky [incompetent] and clandestine way" -- horrify the church's enemies upon what is really laughable.
The letter excuses all possible groupings of their special hate:
-People in the community, who are seeking supposedly "spiritual guidance"
-the opportunistic people responsible in public life
-the anti-Church journalists and press
-decadent artists and intellectuals
-people who are hungry for the old Liberal version of the word of God
-young people, who want nothing to do with yesterday's old liberal soup
-Church tax papers and donors
The laymen -- which is put in quotes in the letter -- would feel, "that clerical scenes are created that leave them disturbed viewing it from the outside" --so hopes the mutineer.
Journalists and the Press, who earlier served the old Liberal Abortion-Bishop Franz Kamhaus as a court crier, will now experience an "absconding" churchman -- says the letter, although the naive Bishop Tebartz-van Else has already run into the knife of the Church-hate magazine 'Spiegel'.
The hate letter also says that the allegedly experienced minister "who has had the idea put in his head" would, as if they notice, how the "clerical darkness" is leading priest candidates by the soul.
In reality the old Liberal darkness in the Dicoese of Limburg is the problem, because he hinders the principle errors of the Post-Conciliar past and sees that they are reformed and corrected.
Because of this fearful process of destruction from these uninsightful old Liberals, young priests today have inherited a difficult legacy.
Meeting the Devil Halfway
The self-loving preachers of hate care for themselves: "Are we obsolete models?" -- they hit the nail on the head.
At the same time they call a worthy lLiturgy -- which is oriented on God -- "a Ritual of Self-Love":
"The Legionaires of Christ and the Society of Pius X expect to send us to the junkyard." -- explained the junker.
It isn't just then, "a little, short-term spiritual blooper to deal with", rather a "bitter, persistent problem" -- so the Bishop-hater correctly analyzes his own problem.
Pubescently, he declares for a "major network" he desires for socializing.
Finally they say again in their letter, incorrectly, gratuitously: "The Legionaries of Christ and the Society of Pius X are waiting, to junk us."

'Pro-Life' - Activist Frank Pavone: Tea-Party is the 'Home' of Defending Life

The principle goal of the movement remains in any case, to make abortion legally unallowable, said Pavone during an encounter with a journalist. The movement also has in any case to raise consciousness in the population: "We want to make abortion unthinkable." He could himself "not imagine a situation, in which abortion [were] a solution to a problem", says the priest. That does not indicate that there will be a denial of the obligation to care for every woman, who has undergone an abortion and been traumatized.
Pavone has come to Vienna on the invitation of Cardinal Schönborn and "International Technical Institute" (ITI). The purpose of his visit is the comprehensive concern of the Pro-Life movement, which has more than 300,000 activists and thousands of action groups, to make it more well-known in Austria" and the strengthen the Church as well, which will be a consequence of protecting life," says Pavone. Concrete steps for instance will be in the founding of Austria's own "Priests-For-Life" group and a spiritual center for the care of women traumatized by abortion.

This is not per se bad, he foresaw -- like the American Catholic Bishops -- but there is the danger that in the coming foreseeable State provisions of government funds could be used for abortion.
The Obama-Politic is favorable declares Pavone that the people are increasingly motivated to be strengthened by the themes of the Pro-Life movement. So, the "Tea Party" is also a movement which serves as a reservoir for a wide circle of the Pro-Life movement. It is also that the there are "countless overlaps", even as the "Tea Party" at the most recent "Mid-term" - vote put the focus on the social questions, says Pavone. Principally, the "Pro-Life" movement is therefore "at home with the Republicans".

In place of this the "Pro-Life" position is for the use of adult stem cell research - found consequently from umbilical cord blood. This is morally permissible and is also even more promising of success.
There is support for the movement, says Pavone, in all religious communities --from the Catholic to the Protestant, Evangelical to the Baptists, Methodists, Judaism and Islam. For this reason the supporters from Judaism or Islam, however, are infrequently in the public, that the "Pro-Life - movement is conceived as a Christian movement. His goal is then also not to unite these Pro-Life voices, rather to strengthen them, for the theme of defending life is part of any respective religion and to give each and every one his own voice.

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Just after the final fitting of his new red robes, Cardinal-designate Donald W. Wuerl of Washington said his new clothes are a sign of new responsibilities.
"When a married couple exchange rings, it's to say things are different now. When a priest puts on a Roman collar, it's to say things are different now. And when a cardinal receives that red hat, it says things are different," he said Nov. 17.
"All of those examples speak to joy and responsibility," he told Catholic News Service just three days before Pope Benedict XVI was to induct him into the College of Cardinals.

Mosul Bishop Warns that Patterns of Attacks Against Christians are Changing
Mosul (AsiaNews) - After the church attack in Baghdad that killed 55 people, and the statement of Al Qaeda that Christians are "legitimate targets", there has been no end to the violence against the Christian minority in Iraq. On November 15, in Mosul, two other men were killed in their homes. According to the statements of police, some unknown persons broke into homes and gunned them down with automatic weapons before fleeing. The victims were Nabil Ghanem and Nashwan Khoder, both 36 years old.
The first, Syrian Catholic, worked for the provincial unit of the organization to combat corruption, the second, a carpenter of Armenian origin. This latest attack - a real execution- seems to indicate a different strategy in the attacks against Christians. Mgr. The Old Mass Only Behind Closed Doors: Milan
Italy [Kreuz.net] Recently Father Jean-Pierre Herman - the Secretary of Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard of Brussels -- wanted to celebrate the Immemorial Mass in Milan's Cathedral. This is according to the website 'BLOG messalatino.it'. Father Herman was there for a meeting about Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman and the Liturgy in Milan. For starters he was forbidden to celebrate the Old Mass in the Cathedral. Then he contacted the Papal Commission 'Ecclesia Dei'. They intervened and concluded that the priest could celebrate the Mass behind closed doors within Cathedral with only one altar boy.

Thailand [Kreuz.net] In the mortuary of a Buddhist Temple in the Thai capital of Bangkok were found around 350 bodies of small children, report international media. Is There a Safe Environment for Catholicism in Catholic Schools: Benilde-St. Margaret, Minnesota
Editor: A local story about a poorly written editorial in a school newspaper has gone national. The whys and the wherefores of the newsworthiness of this piece are an open question, a sort of cognitive disease of the nation, but because someone in the school administration decided that it was unacceptable to continue airing an editorial attacking Archbishop Nienstedt and the Church's teaching about homosexuality, attacking the leadership of the Catholic Church over a prudential decision to send out an educational DVD known as Preserving Marriage in Minnesota, hence, the "discussion" about "free-speech" and why it's so amazing to so many intelligent commentators that a Catholic Church institution would object to a student newspaper attacking it..
Many of the editorials and coverage are concerned about "free speech", while at the same time condemning the Archbishop for exercising his own free speech. One editorial asks if a safe environment is being created for homosexuals in Catholic schools. A better question to ask is, "is a safe environment being created for Catholicism in Catholic schools?" Archbishop Nienstedt and the school administration of this allegedly Catholic school seem to think that public opposition in defense for moral depravity on the part of its students to the Church's teachings and a safe environment for Catholicism are mutually exclusive.

Student-written opinion pieces in the newspaper at Benilde-St.
Margaret in suburban St. Louis defended gay teenagers and criticized a DVD by Minnesota's Catholic bishops that denounced same-sex marriage.
The editorials and the nearly 100 comments they generated were deleted from the newspaper's website over the weekend. The principal says they created confusion about church teaching and an intensity that made an unsafe environment for students. [An unsafe environment for Catholicism]

"There's so many suicides in the news. And I felt very frustrated that my voice couldn't be heard, and that there were all these things that I see as injustices all the time that I didn't feel like anyone else was recognizing," said Simonson.
The essay reads in part:
"You fear looking the wrong way in the locker room and offending someone," he continued. "Politicians are allowed to debate your right to marry the person you love, or your right to be protected from hate crimes under the law. Your faith preaches your exclusion -- or damnation. And no one does anything to stop it."

Sexuality is one of the most complicated aspects of human life. Let’s not further denigrate it, justifying it by a book written, sorted and edited, by males, in a cultural context worlds from our present cultural context. It’s just not an honest comparison. Who are we to judge?
[ David Thorsen, the author, says celibacy is too hard, all of those things related to sexuality just happen, why try to control it? Indeed, according to his argument, why bother with prosecuting any offense listed in the criminal code at all, since they're so common? Why not just legalize pederasty?]

ROME, November 16, 2010 – In two days, Italian bookstores will be selling the new expanded edition of the memoirs of Cardinal Giacomo Biffi, 82, Milanese, archbishop of Bologna from 1984 to 2003.
The first edition of the book, released in 2007, made a strong impression. During Lent of that same year, Benedict XVI had called Biffi to preach the spiritual exercises at the Vatican.
That first volume was striking for the judgments in which the cardinal criticized the naïveté of John XXIII, the negative results of Vatican Council II, the silence on communism, the "mea culpas" of John Paul II, and many other things.
This new edition is also certain to make a stir. In reviewing his life, Biffi has added new chapters and new reflections. As always, in his biting, ironic, anti-conformist style.
The additional pages number about a hundred, and three selections from them are reviewed further below: on the aberrations following the Council, on the Church and the Jews, on the ideology of homosexuality.

Pope Benedict Adomonishes the Bishops Conferences
VATICAN CITY, 15 NOV 2010 (VIS) - At midday today Benedict XVI received prelates from the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (Region centre west), who have just completed their "ad limina" visit. This was the last in a series of meetings with Brazilian bishops which began more than a year ago.
The Pope remarked upon the coincidence between the date of his meeting with the first group of prelates from Brazil (which coincided with the country's Independence Day) and his meeting today with the last (coinciding with Republic Day). In this context he highlighted once again "the importance of the Church's evangelising work in the construction of Brazilian identity".
For nearly sixty years the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil "has been a landmark for Brazilian society, where it increasingly and especially presents itself as a place in which to live the experience of charity", said the Holy Father. "Your episcopal conference, like all others, came into being as a concrete expression of the collegial affection of bishops in hierarchical communion with Peter's Successor, in order to be an instrument of effective and affective communion between all its members and of efficient collaboration with the pastor of each particular Church, in his triple function to teach, sanctify and govern the sheep of his flock".

Benedict XVI concluded his remarks by remarking that "the counsellors and structures of the episcopal conference exist to serve the bishops, not to replace them. In the final analysis, it is important to ensure that the episcopal conference, in all its offices, works as a single body propelling the pastoral solicitude of bishops, whose principal concern must be the salvations of souls, which is also the fundamental mission of the Church".

Benilde-St. Margaret's with the hyphenated name of a prosperous divorcee, is a combined, and unfortunately, co-ed school founded by the Christian Brothers and Sisters of St. Joseph Carondolet with strong "Benedictine" influences while it receives spiritual and intellectual support from the Modernist Monastery which was recently so rude and disobedient to Archbishop Nienstedt in their "Rainbow Sashes", but now, the student newspaper has decided to publish its views on the Archbishop's DVD and deny that he has any right to teach. To the credit of the posh but culturally debased, suburban school, the offending and poorly written editorial was removed. Unlike the editor of this blog, we don't feel that the piece was particularly well-written, but it is cause for concern about what kind of job is being done to educate the young and who might be encouraging this young man to express himself in this way.
Do these leftist termites have any business educating children? It's been eight years since Josh Guimond disappeared, and the deception at St. John's Abbey continues.
One of the suspects and a homosexual predator himself, Father Bruce Wollmering, dies a traumatic and violent death on Abbey grounds.

Regensburg Gymnasium Must Remove its Cross
The Cross in the classroom was removed in the Albert-Magnus Gymnasium after a protest from parents. Even the morning school prayer was reduced to a good morning meditation prayer circle.
Regensburg [kath.net] As one father weighed in, the cross was removed from Albert-Magnus Gymnasium's classroom and the usual school prayer was mangled into a neutral good morning circle meditation. This was reported in the Mittelbayrische Zeitung. With this we see the effect Crucifix-ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court.
The driver of the Cross removal, a physics professor from the University, sat in a circle of parents and made an unofficial determination. This had made him the class leader, according to his own determination, the atheist told the Mittelbayerische Zeitung. Accordingly, he mentioned that this situation with the Cross had only been a "byproduct". He had originally upset that his son had been praying for two years in class. He refused to take that in talks with the school leadership. "And when one is already on the way, naturally the cross is going to come down at the same time."
In the initiation of the Cross removal, six pairs of parents made a statement through a spokesperson: "The Cross simply was removed, irrespective of the other 32 parents and children, and we don't find that okay. We are not even in church every Sunday." Four parents formulated a letter thereupon to those opposing the Cross.
There are four to five cases of Cross removal registered in the Bavarian Internal Ministry pro year, with a number of 33,000 classrooms with a population of more than a million, reported Mittelbayrische. In the Diocese of Regensburg there have been a number of cases brought into effect and registered, not all receive publicity.

Cardinal Burke to Reprimand Cardinal Kasper With Blessing of Holy Father
[EF Exclusive] According to Catholic Culture, there will be an emergency consistory held by the Pope next week which will deal, in addition to issues related to the clerical sex abuse hysteria, with the reception of Anglicans into the Catholic Church.We are told by Maximilian Hanlon that it is within the context of this meeting that Cardinal Burke will publicly reprimand Cardinal Kasper, owing possibly to the notoriously liberal Cardinal's hostility to the "ecumenism of return". Indeed, since Cardinal Kasper has been opposed to an ecumenism of return, so it should be easy to see why Cardinal Burke would object to this. What is more surprising is that he is doing this with the blessing of the Holy Father.
Cardinal Kasper had gotten into trouble, you may remember, for saying some controversial things prior to the Pope's trip to England and suddenly became ill and could not participate.
This will be interesting to see how it plays out.
