The Devil Knows What We Need: The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass -- Do the Bishops Know?

Demons are compelled in certain moments of the Exoricism to tell the truth.

Don Villa reveals his experience with Satan in a video that has been viewed 300,000 times on Youtube alone. At a time when people are turning their backs on the Church because they no longer believe in the Devil at first and no longer believe in God in the next step, Don Villa recalls the reality of the supernatural in a sermon.

Don Villa was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Milan in 1970. Since 2012, he has been one of the twelve exorcists appointed by the Archdiocese. Cardinal Angelo Scola, who was first Patriarch of Venice, was appointed Archbishop of Milan by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011 (he was made emeritus by Pope Francis at the age of 75 in 2017). Right at the beginning of his term in Milan, he doubled the number of exorcists.

Until his vocation, Don Villa was the pastor of a small Lombard town of 20,000 inhabitants. There he still looks after the two parishes and at the same time acts as an exorcist in the spiritual struggle against the devil.

"It is a spiritual struggle against the devil. It's not for the faint-hearted.'

Demand for exorcisms is growing sharply. In Italy alone, they have tripled in the past decade. The Devil's instruments are "vulgarity, threat and violence". At certain moments of exorcism, however, the Devil is compelled to tell the truth. In these moments he had to reveal the "catechism" of God. This is hardly surprising, because this was already the case in the encounter between the Devil and Jesus, the first exorcist.

"Exorcism was an essential part of His public ministry: Jesus' encounters with demons, the temptation by the devil, His power to cast out demons and resist the Devil are reported in the Gospels."

Demons are sometimes the only witnesses who publicly acknowledge the Messiah in Jesus because they are forced to reveal the truth. At the beginning of the Gospel of Mark, in a synagogue, an unclean spirit who is in a man shouts at Jesus with the words:

"What do we have to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to ruin us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God" (Mk 1:24).

Jesus commanded him to leave the man;

"The unclean spirit dragged the man back and forth, and left him with a loud cry" (Mk 1:26)

The demons were afraid of Jesus, according to Don Villa, because they knew that He had power.
Exorcism changes the lives of the possessed or the resettled, but Don Villa describes how the revelations of demons have also changed his own life. In exorcism, a direct confrontation of the demon with the exorcist often happens. He tries to attack and expose the priest in his human weakness.
Thus a demon testified:

"You (priests) are in a hurry when you celebrate Mass. You lift up the piece of bread and immediately go down again because you are in a hurry, because you have more important things to do."

These are harrowing words, says Don Villa, which are a reminder to him as to every priest. The Devil has revealed things that make it impossible for him to celebrate the Mass "as before".

So many books have been written about the liturgy, the exorcist says, and yet there is still a problem. Pope Benedict XVI also addressed it in his recent book "From the Depth of the Heart" when he said that the daily celebration of the Eucharist presupposes a permanent service to God, and that the center of this ministry and thus of priestly life is the Eucharist. According to the Devil, this privileged sacramental relationship between the priesthood and Holy Mass is increasingly underestimated.

It is not an exaggeration, says Don Villa, to say that "the Mass is no longer appreciated".

"We all think that by going to Mass, we give something to God. But it is the sacrifice of Christ, who erases our sins.

When we receive Communion, we receive the body of Christ, who, before the gastric juices decompose, is in us for 8-10 minutes. Do you understand what that means? At this time we are Jesus Tabernacles ... And yet we forget to say thanks to Him before and after the Mass. In the past, people worshipped during this time, including the priests. Today you make a commotion and on to community."

The devil also attacks the priests from another flank:

"You do not understand that Mary, His Mother, and the angels, when you celebrate Mass, are gathered around the altar."

This is how it is, confirms Don Villa, but how rarely are we aware that "at every Mass the whole heaven gathers around the altar".

Don Villa also sees this as the reason why many young people, even if they come from Catholic families and were involved in the parish, do not go to Mass at some point on the grounds that "it doesn't give me anything any more". If the Mass is celebrated with the due reverence, "our thirst will be quenched."

"If God is not served sincerely and reverently, and the holy sacrifice of mass is devalued, we will lose the majesty of God."

"Ironically, at a time when the Church seems to be in permanent confusion, the devil knows what we need: Holy Mass," Patricia Gooding-Williams said in her article on Don Ambrogio Villa for La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana (NBQ).

New Archbishop of Milan Will be General Vicar Mario Delphini

Cardinal Angelo Scola should be retired tomorrow due to age.
His successor in all likelihood is to be Vicar General Mario Delphini
(Rome) Monsignor Mario Delpini, the previous Vicar General of the Archdiocese, is to become the new Archbishop of Milan. The northern Italian Archdiocese, which is not the Roman Rite, but the Ambrosian Rite, is one of the most important dioceses in the world. The Archbishop is still Angelo Cardinal Scola, the opponent of Pope Francis in the conclave of 2013, who is in good health but has also completed his 75th year of life in November 2016, and therefore presented the canonical request for resignation to the Pope.

Monsignor Mario Delpini

The appointment of Monsignor Delpini will be announced by the Vatican, "subject to a change in the last hour", on Friday. This is reported by the papal House Vaticanist Andrea Tornielli on Vatican Insider.
Thus Pope Francis chose the candidate who had been the favorite among the consulters in the diocese. According to Tornielli, it was Cardinal Scola who had asked the Pope to make the appointment before the summer so that after the summer the "pastoral year could begin with the new Archbishop."
Mgr. Delpini entered the Archdiocesan Seminary in 1967 and was ordained priest in 1975 by the then Archbishop Giovanni Cardinal Colombo. He studied Patristics at the Augustinianum in Rome and taught Greek and Patristics at the Milan seminaries.
Cardinal Martini made him the rector of the Seminary. Under Cardinal Tettamanzi, he became auxiliary bishop in 2007. Cardinal Scola, who was Patriarch of Venice until Pope Benedict XVI. in 2011 called him to the bishop's chair of St. Ambrose, made the auxiliary bishop his Vicar General. In 2014, he also entrusted him with the training of the clergy.
Tornielli emphasizes that Delpini is a "choice of continuity." He had served the "last three archbishops," Martini, Tettamanzi, and Scola, "spiritual, humble but not submissive, a great worker, but far from the type of manager bishop, and he attaches great importance to personal relationships with priests," says Tornielli. He was on the road in the city.

"Group elevation" to make adolescents "actors"

The Auxiliary Bishop Delpini engaged in liturgical relativism for World Youth Day 2013 through liturgical relativism. Delpini celebrated a Holy Mass with the young people of the Archdiocese before their departure for Rio de Janeiro. reported at the time:
"At the end of the high feast, the episcopal 'superintendant' of the celebration celebrated not only with his priestly concelebrants, but youths, specially called to the altar, to elevate the chalices with the Precious Blood of Christ and the Hosts with the Body of Christ. Apart from the fact that normally only one chalice and a ciborium with the consecrated hosts are raised, even if several are used: the group elevation was not carried out by priests or deacons, who stood idly in the background, but by young laymen, girls and fellows who had previously been fished out of the church nave by the coordinating priest.
The embarrassed facial expressions of the young people in the pictures are quite telling. You clearly are in the wrong place. There is no cross on the altar. It was forgotten in the zeal of a conspicuous priesthood of all believers. The Lord is hanging on the side wall in the background. The photo was even published on the website of the church newspaper IncrociNews of the Archdiocese of Milan, among the official reports on World Youth Day 2013 .
The example shows that they are priests who behave like elephants in the liturgical china shop.
The Archbishop's Liturgy Commissioner tried to defend the Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General against the criticism, which did not exactly improve the situation. Msgr Pierantonio Tremolada wrote:
"I am absolutely convinced that the gesture was intended to give the young people the feeling of being actors during the week of World Youth Day" (as the Pope said yesterday). Moreover, we are not sure that it was decided by S. Ex. Mons. Delpini. The leaders of the celebration do not always decide the liturgical gestures, sometimes at the last moment they execute them at the instruction of others."
The liturgy commissioner did not go into the gesture. On the contrary, the reference to the pope made it clear that he did not bother.
By tomorrow's appointment, Pope Francis will have appointed the metropolitans of the three largest, most prestigious and wealthy archbishoprics in the world within three years with Cologne, Chicago and Milan.

Milan Priest From the Margins Makes "Mano Cornuta" Before Mass

(Rome) An AFP photographer, Giuseppe Cacace, immortalized a bizarre scene on the outskirts of the Pope's visit to Milan: a priest making the mano cornuta. The "horned hand" is considered a rather vulgar gesture in Italy to offend someone else, but it has even wider meanings right down to Satanism.

The "weirdly dressed guy with a colorful newsboy hat" (Corriere della Sera), who presented the Mano cornuta before the beginning of the Holy Mass celebrated by Pope Francis in Milan, is not a satanist who had become part of the priesthood but a priest and is known as Don Luca Raimondi. Don Raimondi, who by his conspicuous attitude "decidedly fell out of the circle of the priests present" (Corriere), is pastor in the diocese of Monza (church province of Milan).

The significance of the disparaging gesture can have numerous meanings. In Italy s a way to tell the other person that his wife / girlfriend is unfaithful to him, put on horns (adultery). The gesture also occurs in the case of a surprise, as a defense against a misfortune or a misfortune.

But the hand gesture is also seen as a satanist greeting, as a gesture of invocation or confession to Satan. Just as common, the Mano cornuta is a scene-typical pose in the hardrock subculture, known there as Devil horns or Metalhand.

Buddhism also knows it in the form of a mudra (hand gesture). This "persecution or deflection gesture" (Karana) has also flowed into yoga. "With the horns of a wild yak, the adept is going against the demon or opponent." This is an intensified "threat gesture" (Tarjana), which is directed against a demon or an opponent only with a raised index finger.

Don Luca Raimondi is considered to be a "priest at the margins". He attends to four parishes of a pastoral unit, which includes three places in Brianza.

Through the publication of the picture with the unusual gesture and the following storm of indignation, he saw himself forced to make an explanation. Yesterday the priest justified it to his faithful during Holy Mass with a story so unbelievable that he would have better saved it.

The short version: It was an hour before the beginning of the Mass. There was a cheerful, cheerful mood. It happened  in the priest's block. Then, on the cell phone, a woman called to him, who from a distance reserved for the faithful, motioned to him, joked with him about his newsboy hat, and said she wanted to have it. He had said no, and that with the raised index finger. When the woman insisted, he had then raised his pinky finger to say no. "These are the risks of communication," Don Raimondi said. Whoever believes it. Even if the story were accurate, the question would remain unanswered, as a priest loosely and without any connection, forms a hand to Mano cornuta.

"More importantly, I brought 200 people to Milan," said Don Luca. He had only raised the sleeves of  chasuble beforehand because of the "heat". A "cheerful, open mood," was ruling over the place, the priest said. It was just a "joking gesture." The AFP photo, however, does not seem to confirm this.

Communist Mayor of Milan Renames Street --- Via Carlo Maria Martini

Cardinal Martini's Spirit Lies Over the Church
(Rome) Recently Milan's mayor, Giuliano Pisapia, officially and with ceremony changed the name of Via dell'Arcivescovado of Milan into "Via Carlo Maria Martini". It's a renaming which reveals alliances.

Via dell'Arcivescovado is the street named for  the nearby seat of the Archbishop. It's the street adjacent to the Cathedral of Milan, and opens into the Piazza Fontana. The street name is ancient, since Milan was made into an Archbishopcric in the 4th century  and among the most important and most historical diocese of the world.

Globalization and relativism

Pisapia justified the street naming by saying that he is a "laicist" (a synonym for atheist), who regards the former Archbishop of Milan and Cardinal as his "spiritual master."  In a special way, Pisapia praised Martinis "opening" to immigration and of his being a "man of the doubt". In other words, Pisapia praised Martini's consent to the dominant currents of globalization and relativism," said Messa in Latino.
Mayor Pisapia has belonged since the 70s to 1991 to the left-wing, Trotskyist Workers' Democracy. After the collapse of the Eastern bloc and the social democratization of the Italian Communist Party, he joined in 1991 the old Communist Party of the Communist Refoundation, which he represented from 1996 to 2006 as a deputy in the Italian Parliament. Ahead of the mayoral elections of 2011 he declared himself independent, to be accepted as a candidate of a broad left alliance. The well-known criminal lawyer won in the primaries of the Left parties and in the mayoral election against the right-wing incumbent.
The reigning Archbishop was present at the ceremony for the street name change, Cardinal Angelo Scola,  who had recently called for the introduction of Islamic festivals at public schools and describes  himself as   'a theorist of miscegenation'. "Cardinal Scola was visibly pleased," said Messa in Latino .
Street namings require suitable roads, so time related renames are common. "The renaming of the street, the timeless Archdiocese resigned itself as an institution behind concrete and also controversial figure of  an archbishop. The archdiocese will ever thus be equated with this bishop," said Messa in Latino .

Globalization and immigration, which unifies "all"

The traditional site viewed the renaming through the big picture and alliances which go well beyond Italy:
"I remember how the current mayor prepared the law for 'room for a shot,' with which he wanted to create public spaces where  addicts can inject their dose undisturbed in peace and from the law. I remember the recent and repeated statements of the mayor on homosexuality. These beliefs intellectual Martini student I would ask as Cardinal Scola some questions about the attitudes of the Jesuit Cardinal Martini, who sat on the throne of the church father Ambrose more than 20 years. But Zingaropoli and the immigration issue unites them all: the fashionable radical, former leftist extremist streetfighter of the ' Order for Services' of Mario Capanna 1 , the representative of the globalist community, Communion and Liberation (CL), Cardinal Scola, the late Cardinal Martini and the present Bishop of Rome, which, although infinitely less formed than a Martini, is but the faithful disciple in the Society of Jesus.  'By their fruits ye shall know them ', but someone said of some importance. I want my Via dell'Arcivescovado again! "
Cardinal Martini was one of the founders  in the 90s of the internal church secret circle of "Sankt Gallen", in which he gathered cardinals and bishops, who after Pope John Paul II, and then Benedict XVI., sought to impose a pope of their choice to change the course of the Church and change its mind.

From Saul to Paul of the Traditional Rite

(Milan) The Christian faith always aims to conversion and repentance This is what distinguishes the truth of God from the ideologies of men. This lifetime opportunity and possibility is what distinguishes Christianity. This allows diverse and unexpected ways. Such is reported from the Archdiocese of Milan. ""The infamous Msgr. Luigi Manganini until the end of 2012 was Archpriest at the Cathedral of Milan and master of ceremonies for the Archbishop, a sworn enemy of the traditional rite and as grim and zealous opponent of the Catholic tradition, has celebrated today in the traditional form of the Roman Rite", says the traditional site Chiesa e postconcilio.

For Decades, a Bitter Opponent of the Traditional Rite

For decades Msgr. Manganini was a fierce opponent of tradition and the traditional rite, he "insulted it in every possible way". Among other things, he spoke publicly of "old scrap iron destined for the heap,"  said Messa in Latino.
Canon Manganini was not just any priest, but until his retirement in late 2012, the most prominent liturgist in the Ambrosian Archdiocese.
Notorious is the episode when the already elderly Msgr. Angelo Amodeo as privately celebrating Msgr. Manganini canon of the Cathedral of Milan, was on his way a few months before his death in 2012 in the house of the canons, to say the Holy Mass in the traditional Ambrosian rite, as it had been approved in 1954 by Blessed Archbishop Cardinal Ildefons Schuster. On the way he met Msgr. Manganini. When he saw the maniple and chalice veil, he berated him loudly and hurled against Msgr. Amodeo all the  curses  which one can only imagine. This Holy Mass was known as the "insult Mass" in  Milan Church history.

"The Holy Mass was to be celebrated, as if we were in the Soviet Union"

Msgr. Manganini at the celebration of Holy Mass in the traditional rite
Or the episode where in Saregno he forbade the celebration of the traditional Mass at first, then allowed, but only behind "closed doors", on the grounds that such a celebration would trigger "astonishment" among the faithful. Without rehashing all the details: In Saregno a conference on  Blessed Newman took place in 2010 with.Abbé Jean-Pierre Herman, the Secretary of the then Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, the just consecrated Msgr. Leonard who wanted to celebrate the Holy Mass in the traditional rite.  Msgr. Manganini forbade it and then allowed the celebration only when Rome intervened. Nevertheless, he tried wherever possible to hinder the celebration. He knew at that very time already that the traditional Mass attracts the faithful. Therefore, the doors of the Church had to be closed. The faithful could only reach  it through the sacristy into the church. They had almost to secretly sneak into the church, as if they did something illegal or  to hide in the Jacobin France of the Revolution or in Communist Russia of the Soviet era. But what happened in Saregno 2010 was not played out in the time of the French Revolution and not in the Soviet Union, but in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milan under Archbishop Dionigi Cardinal Tettamanzi  and had been ordered by Msgr. Manganini.

The Rediscovery of the Traditional Rite

Msgr. Manganini is now retired and it was very quiet around him. A few months ago he accepted the request of a group of faithful in Milan to celebrate the traditional Rite. "The formerly so despised and traditional believers are apparently the only ones still showing  honor to him, while in the higher church circles that he defended so zealously, no one seems to look after him," said Chiesa e postconcilio.
"What would those now say of Msgr. Manganini who was once an idol? Will they also go the way to Damascus, which was opened by Christ for all? " says Messa in Latino.
But Christ makes it possible that from Saul there can always be a Paul. And so it was that old Msgr Manganini, from whose mouth now came the words, which are a cause of real "astonishment":. Introibo ad altare Dei. Ad Deum qui Laetificat Juventutem meam.
Msgr. Manganini was ordained a priest on 21 June 1958 by the then Archbishop of Milan, Giovanni Battista Cardinal Montini, the future Pope Paul VI.  even in traditional Ambrosian rite.

Ordinarium Missae of the Traditional Ambrosian Rite is Here

(Milan) From the traditional cultural club Signum Ambrosianum  has just now published the Ordinarium Missae  in the traditional form of the Ambrosian Rite. The Archdiocese of Milan gave the imprimatur .
A simple printed Latin-Italian version is already available, a fully colored, beautifully designed edition will be completed before Christmas. It already can Ordinarium as a PDF on the website of Signum Ambrosianum be viewed. Also one has been e-book version for tablet and smartphone provided. Ordinary Mass can free downloaded, printed and circulated. The only condition is that the source is - ISBN 978-88-907422-2-4 .

Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum in Milan without validity

Canon Amodeo celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood in ancient Ambrosian rite
When Pope Benedict XVI. issued  the motu proprio, Summorum Pontificum in 2007, the Archbishop Carlo Maria Cardinal Martini (1979-2002) and the Milan clergy were little enthused. When the seminarians of the Archbishop's Seminary  requested   training in the "extraordinary" form,   Martinis successor Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi (2002-2011) represented the view that the Motu Proprio applies only to the Roman rite, but not for the Ambrosian rite. The Archdiocesan canon lawyer based his interpretation  that only the Roman rite is mentioned in the Motu Proprio. Accordingly, it applies to the scope of the Ambrosian rite stemming from the Motu Proprio  Ecclesia Dei of  1988.
Under the incumbent, since 2011, Archbishop Cardinal Angelo Scola established a change in the attitude of the Archdiocesan Curia. Cardinal Scola  as Patriarch of Venice  had transferred the care of the faithful who wanted the old rite to the FSSP, the rectorate of a church on the Grand Canal.  For the celebration of the traditional form of the Ambrosian rite two Milan canons, Canon Angelo Amodeo and Canon Attilio Cavalli strove mightily to celebrate it. After the death of Canon Amodeo  the traditional Ambrosian rite found a strong advocate in the new archdiocesan master of ceremonies,  Msgr. Claudio Fontana. The Society of St. Pius X began, after the death of Msgr. Amodeo with the celebration in the traditional Ambrosian rite, since they had celebrated in Milan only in the traditional Roman Rite.

Ambrosian Rite in Parts of Lombardy and of the Ticino

The Ambrosian rite is the official liturgical rite of the Archdiocese of Milan. The Superior is the Archbishop of Milan. The ritual goes back to the canonization of the Church Father Ambrose, who was from 374-397 Archbishop of Milan, but is much older in essential parts.
When Pope Gregory I at the end of the 6th century, expanded the Roman Rite in the Latin Church, the Ambrosian rite, next to the Mozarabic (Iberian-Visigothic) and other local rites, such as the Aquileiean Rite. While the rite of the patriarch of Aquileia and Venice was  replaced by the Council of Trent  with the Roman rite, the Ambrosian rite is there to this day. This fact is attributed to the fact that Pope Pius IV. was Milanese and was the soul of the Council of Trent, while  Saint Charles Borromeo was Archbishop of Milan 1560-1584 .

Charles Borromeo kept the Ambrosian rite, Paul VI. subjected him to the Liturgy Reform

Imprimatur of the Archdiocese of Milan
Conversely, the Ambrosian rite was addressed by the post-conciliar liturgical reform, because Paul VI. was before his election as Pope, Archbishop of Milan. He took a personal interest that the liturgical reform was implemented in his former diocese. This worried his successor, Cardinal Giovanni Colombo, who performed the liturgical reform with "iron will" (Vita Pastorale 9/2008). Under Cardinal Tettamanzi "reform in the wake of the Second Vatican Council" (Vita Pastorale) in 2008 with the "New Ambrosian Lectionary" (NLA) was largely completed was introduced in 1976 ad experimentum.
The Ambrosian rite originally comprised much of northern Italy. Today it is still celebrated throughout the Archdiocese of Milan (except two small enclaves) as well as some adjacent areas of the dioceses of Bergamo, Lodi and Novara, and especially in the north of the Swiss diocese of Lugano.
The cultural association founded in 2012 Signum Ambrosianum is dedicated to the care of the traditional form of the Ambrosian rite. So far,  next to the Ordinarium Missae  there is already  published a Antiphonale Missarum and Laudamus Te  with the most important songs of the Ambrosian liturgy. The publication of the Ambrosian Psalters and publications on the Ambrosian chant are in preparation.
Signum Ambrosianum works closely with the existing since 2011 Cantori Ambrosiani and the Association Res Musica together, who are committed to the care of the Ambrosian chant in the liturgy.

Church Desecration: Tabernacle Broken Into and Consecrated Hosts Smeared with Excrement

(Milan)   Again the Catholic Church has been a target of sacrilege. The scene of the crime was the Holy Cross Church of San Giorgio su Legnano, in Lombardy. Unknown vandals broke the tabernacle and threw the consecrated Hosts on the floor and smeared it with human excrement, with which they also defiled the altar.
The statue of Our Lady of Sorrows they blackened with the soot of candles and hot wax was poured  over her head. The face of suffering Jesus and  the large cross was blackened, which is venerated in the church, and gave it its name. The perpetrators stuffed wax in the mouth, ears and eyes of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Luciano Premoli called the parish to atonement and prayer. "We have been faced with such a serious, indeed, unimaginable desecration of the Holy Eucharist," said the pastor. Because of the desecration, the   church remains closed for the time being. Many believers have expressed their outrage, sadness and affection for Christ and His mother by candles and flowers in front of the church door. The mayor and the local government  have offered a bouquet as a sign of solidarity. "To the perpetrators, I can only say: shame on you," said the mayor.
On Sunday, the Rosary is prayed and the desecrated crucifix will lead the procession. Then the Episcopal Vicar Monsignor Gian Paolo Citterio will say the purification ritual  for the desecrated church.
The Holy Cross Church of San Giorgio su Legnano was consecrated in 1393 by the then Archbishop of Milan, Antonio de Saluzzo (1376-1401). In 1703 it was rebuilt in the Baroque style in its current form. The church belongs to the Archdiocese of Milan, and thus uses the Ambrosian rite of the Roman Catholic Church.
Police are investigating.  The investigators do not want to offer an opinion as to whether or not they are Satanists or not.

Schönborn's "Christmas Nonsense" in Milan -- Church Crisis Manufactured Between Rhetoric and Reality

(Vienna / Milan) The traditional  website  Messa in Latino has been critical of   the appearance of Archbishop Christoph Cardinal Schönborn in Milan. He who does not have a handle on his own diocese, can hardly give advice to others, thus the criticism.
Cardinal Schönborn had been invited by Archbishop Angelo Cardinal Scola to Milan. In a crowded cathedral, the Archbishop of Vienna spoke about evangelism in a big city.  Critics of the Austrian cardinal abroad  find clearer words than at home, where the presence disobedient priests, a laity indifferent to Catholic doctrine, liturgical sprawl and moral relativism are widespread. In fact, the Cardinal earned a lot of praise for his Milanese appearance  from almost all sides: "striking hot iron", "in touch with  this time" "strong words" it said in the report. "Fog, honey, applause from the left, and even applause from the right: the Cardinal seems again to have succeeded in squaring the circle, but the reality,"  looks different at home, so Messa in Latino .

Photos of WYD Liturgical Abuse in Milan Erased from Internet: All Good?

(Milan) The photo that documents the liturgical abuse in Milan has now been deleted from the website of the Archdiocese. It was the Holy Mass celebrated by the Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Milan for adolescents of the Diocese prior to their departure for World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro. Some teens had been called by the celebrant to be concelebrants at the altar. In the doxology of the Eucharistic Prayer the boys and girls were faced at the same direction as the priests with chalices and ciboria containing the Body and Blood of Christ, elevating them to the faithful. (see separate report).

Since the art historian and expert on sacred art and architecture of the modern era, Pablo Pomar, wrote about the incident, a lot of photos about the liturgical abuses vanished within 24 hours from the Internet. Be it known that some do not see the abuse as such, the gestures they have planned, but actually mean it, yet just do not want to admit it too openly. "They are exploring how far they can go. If there is resistance, the pictures are just hastily deleted. This is not an attitude worthy of a bishop or priest. You better just leave such crap, because they don't need to run for cover after and delete them. They are just too old for such games," said Pomar. It also raises the question of whether you actually believe that a deed is undone just because you delete the associated images from the Internet.

Liturgical Relativism: Liturgy Coordinator Addresses Liturgical Abuse by Milan's Auxiliary Bishop

Liturgical Horror
Edit: a few days ago a liturgical abuse was occasioned by the Auxiliary Bishop of Milan in the wake of World Youth Day.

(Milan) The liturgical trampling underfoot by the Vicar General and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Milan, Monsignor Mario Delpini, at a Mass which was said for young Catholics before their departure for the World Youth Day in 2013 leading to Rio de Janeiro, has caused a stir ( see separate report in Italian...). During the doxology of the Eucharistic Prayer he allowed young people at the altar to act as priests and face the faithful holding the chalice with the blood of Christ and the ciborium with the body of Christ at the Volksaltar [Cramner Table for the initiated] during the elevation. The traditional website Messa in Latino urges addressing Don Pierantonio Tremolada, to protest to the liturgical representative of the Archdiocese, and so did Msgr. Tremolda himself, the New Testament exegete, which in addition to his role as liturgical officer is also rector for the formation of permanent deacons Archdiocese of Milan, has now answered. Here is the response of Bishop Tremolada and the reaction to it from Messa in Latino:

Dear Editor,
I am absolutely convinced that the gesture had on the photo that you submit as evidence the intention 'to give young people the feeling during the week of World Youth Day to be actors the (as the Pope yesterday [Monday] said .) "We are not, moreover, certain that it was decided by His Excellency, Mgr Delpini: it is not always the decision by the head celebrant as to the liturgical gestures, sometimes they are enacted at the last moment on the instructions of others.
What is absolutely certain is that no one wanted to be disrespectful in any way to the Eucharist. I would add in this context that I am affected by the sentence at the end of your e-mail and regret it: words such as "do the Mass" do not seem to me to do justice to the height of the Eucharistic Mystery, which you want to safeguard. Be assured in any case, that the whole purpose on our side is a given, that our young people have a high regard for the what we consider to be the heart not only of the priestly ministry, but the whole life of the Church.
Don Pierantonio Tremolada

The reaction of Messa in Latino to Msgr Tremolada:

Dear Don Pierantonio,
Thanks for the kind reply.
Two small observations: although we understand the meaning of your implementations, we don't share them completely: the fact that the "Presider" [1] receives all of the instructions as to liturgical gestures, it also follows that it is neither an excuse nor a mitigating circumstance. If the celebrant detects errors and illegalities in the instructions he received, he could waylay their execution.
Secondly, you complain legitimately that what I have written in the phrase "do the Mass" is not appropriate. Completely justifiable. It was the formulation of an adolescent. However, we have emphasized that the prescribed gestures of a bishop especially during Holy Mass at its height and were appropriate. And even less worthy were those gestures set during the same Mass by adolescents.
Perhaps it would be appropriate to direct attention from the "words" to focus on the "deeds".
I request the permission to publish your email with the answer to our mail on our blog. If you do not agree, we will not publish.
Again with warm regards and best wishes for the summer time, I thank you for the constructive discussions

See You Soon,

For the editors of Messa in Latino

  1. i the original „President“: Don Tremolada used the formulation "presidente", president, hence the reason for the  quotation marks in the answer. []

Sacrament Stolen From Tabernacle -- Satanists are Suspected

(Milan) In Missaglia in the Italian Archdiocese of Milan (Lombardy) unknown individuals violently forced their way into the parish church of San Vittore.  This church has the designation of a Papal Basilica Minor. They broke into the tabernacle and stole the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.  Otherwise they took some sacramental upbeats, among them a bronze cross, a small shrine and the door of the tabernacle.

There is a weighty suspicion that the perpetrators were either acting for or were Satanists, because besides the Sacrament no valuable objects were stolen.  The object of the act was clearly the body of Christ.

Pastor and Community are horrified: “The financial damage is the least, only the door of the tabernacle door which was ripped off, had any clear value.  Most horrible is the sacrilege, the profanation of the Blessed Sacrament.  The perpetrators took with them what was most valuable for the faithful, the consecrated body of Christ.  An act, which is difficult to discuss and has wounded us deeply”, said Pastor Albino Mandelli.

The crimes took place on the 5th of April in the morning and was discovered by the sacristan.  The Diocesan authorities were immediately informed.
