Rome -- There is Italian media speculation, that Msgr. Georg Ganswein (56) as Prefect of the Papal Household is immediately in the offing.
This would mean that Ganswein will probably give up his job for almost 8 years as Privat Secretary of Pope Benedict XVI, while he will be raised to the rank of Bishop and a person of close trust to the Holy Fathers. The press office of the Holy See has denied that the time is ripe for such a decision to take place.
Most personal speculations in the wake of the Vatileaks Affair had shown themselves to be weak.

Yesterday He Was For Slaughtering Children -- Today He's a Cardinal
![]() |
Mons. Rubén Salazar Gómez © JuanCardozo, Wikipedia, CC |
The Archbishop of Bogota recently defended slaughtering children. With pressure from the Vatican, he gave in. What he really thinks is no matter. The main thing is that his career goes on.
(kreuz.net, Bogota) Today the Old Liberal Archbishop Jesús Rubén Salazar Gómez (70) of Bogota has been named to Cardinal.
Until a week ago he defended -- against Catholic morality and the natural law -- the murder of unborn children, in so far as it is allowed by Colombian law.
Since 2006, the murder of children has been allowed in three cases, with danger to the life of the mother, in cases of severe handicap of the child and in cases of rape and incest.
Currently, the parliament is debating over the expansion of the murder of unborn children.
A Clear Yes for the Murder of Children
On November 13th the up and coming Prelate and President of the Bishops Conference, defending child slaughter for the Colombian newspaper 'El Tiempo'.
He formulated a clear "yes to the decriminalization of abortion in these three cases, which Colombian law allows."
Catholic pro-Life organizations have unleashed a storm against the Archbishop.
One Man, One Word
Finally the Vatican took action with a fig leaf action.
The Secretary of State demanded a correction from the Scandal-Archbishop. Thereupon, he sent a correct statement.
The murder of children is "a horrible crime" -- wrote Msgr. Salazar suddenly: a decriminalization is never acceptable.

Obama Praises Coach Who Covered for Sexual Predators
![]() |
An Entire Career Protecting Evil Men |
After years of protecting sexual predators and even piously bemoaning the fate of Joe Paterno, football's winningest defender of homosexual predators since the 50s goes into retirement. After working for one of the most decadent, Old Liberal, and frankly disobedient Modernist Monasteries in the world. Here's a good summary of the details on Pine Curtain. He gets recognition from Obama as well and the anti-Catholic New York Times doesn't make a single mention of his refusal to do the right thing.
John Gagliardi, who won more games (489) and coached more seasons (64) than anyone in the history of college football, announced his retirement Monday, nine days after wrapping up his 60th season at Division III St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn.
Coach John Gagliardi of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., with some of the awards won by his teams and players. The 86-year-old Gagliardi, who had been one of two active head coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame, chose to retire after the Johnnies finished their first nonwinning season since 1986 at 5-5, and their first losing season in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play (3-5) since 1973.
“I’ve been thinking about it all through my 80s, so six or seven years now,” Gagliardi said Monday in a telephone interview. “I don’t know. I just decided that enough is enough.”Despite all the fanfare, Josh Guimond is still missing since November 9th, 2002.

Assassination in the Parliament of Luxembourg
No to the abolition of the rights of parents to watch over the health of their children and no to dissipating tension in families.
(kreuz.net) Today at 1400 hrs the Parliament of Luxembourg is to proceed on the legal project, that proposes to modify the criminal abortion legislation.
This was reported by the blog 'federation-pro-europa-christiana.org/wordpress'.
With the help of an unworthy maneuver, the date for the discussion was not published until the last minute.
The project is dehumanizing.
It leaves the mother the complete impulse to decide over the life of her child.
The legislative proposal suffices, that where the mother ascertains that her pregnancy will put her "In an emergency situation", she may slaughter her innocent child.
Minors may abort against the wishes of their parents.
Only the social service is obligated to convince the minor mother, that she should inform her parents or legal guardian.

15 Year Old Sentenced in Arson of Neustadt Cathedral
Vienna (kath.net) Because of arson at Neustadter Cathedral and severe property damage, a 15 year old has been condemned to a condition 20 month sentence. The National Court of Vienna/Neustadt gave a relatively mild sentence because of the "very youthful age" of the defendant and and his customarily orderly manner of life and finally his carpentry school. The defendant has received time to think it over, the judgement is still not executed. The Cathedral burnt in March of 2012, which kath.net reported, and has been closed till the completion of renovation at the end of September.
The youth had initially confessed to the Cathedral Provost after the act, and was forgiven by the Provost and recommended the possibility of accomplishing community service, continued ORF. In the negotiations the 15 year old had at first denied the act, then however the exact course of events fell to him. The judge explained in his sentencing, that the most significant concern of the boy had been that he didn't want his father to learn of it.

Converted Muslims Are Secretly Baptized in Vienna -- Msgr Franz Schlegl on World Prayer Day for Persecuted Christians
(Vienna) On the 4th of November 2012 Msgr. Mag. Franz Schlegl preached for persecuted Christians. Msgr. Schlegl is a priest of the Roman Rite and an Archpriest of the Byzantine Rite (Ukrainian Communion) of the Archdiocese of Vienna.
At the outset Dr. Elmar Kuhn, the General Secretary of Christian Solidarity International Austria spoke of a "dramatic scale of Christian persecution". Kuhn reported the current case of a Pakistani Christian who had been given a prison sentence for "ridicule" involving "blasphemy against the Prophet". Although he had completed his sentence, the Muslim prison director refused to let him free, because he had continued to hold fast to his belief in Christ.
Msgr. Schlegl spoke in his sermon about the Christian persecution, of which the media does not report. "Whichever picture of human rights, whichever picture of democracy our responsible journalists of our media", when there are attacks and violence to Christians "are hardly talked about in the media". Every five to ten minutes somewhere in the world a Christian is killed because of his faith. In 50 nations of the world there are more than 100 million Christians persecuted for their faith, mishandled, discriminated, and threatened with death. Nine of ten of those persecuted for their beliefs are Christians. But that does not merit a line of the news value and also in the newspapers not a line." With the exception of North Korea, he People's Republic of China and some of the other communistically inclined states, "the persecution of Christians takes place primarily in Islamic countries. The 'Arab Spring' has become a Christian crucifixion." Christians are valued in states like Somalia and Nigeria "as vermin, that must be destroyed, as trash that must be taken out".
Msgr Schlegl explained that Muslims, who have converted to the Catholic Faith, in agreement with Archbishop Christoph Cardinal Schönborn do not have to participate in the catechumen celebration, "very simply, because it is dangerous. Then their preparation for baptism and the baptism inclusively held in secret so that they don't have to fear for their lives."
"That is happening to us today that Christians, in following the Lord are ready to die as martyrs. That is the biggest difference. The Muslims also say, their fighters are martyrs. As a Christian I am prepared to die for my Christian faith, but I am never prepared to murder for my Faith. And those who call themselves martyrs, because they set off an automobile in the air and rip 100 or 50 people to death: what does that have to do with martyrdom. That is naked violence."

Record Number of New Entrants in the Seminary of the Old Rite Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest
(Gricigliano) The Institute of Christ the King and Sovereign Priest has shown a record number of new entrants to the institute's own seminary. The new year shows 20 candidates, who will begin their academic year 2012/2013. Msgr Micheal Schmitz offered this in the November Letter of the Institute.
The Institute of Christ the King and Sovereign Priest, canonically instituted in 1990 is a society of Apostolic and Papal right. The founder is the Champagne, France born priest Gilles Wach. He was responsible for clerical professions of the priestly society Opus Sacerdotal founded in Lourdes in 1964, who during the confused post-Conciliar period seeked to strengthen an unabbreviated continuation of the faith under the motto Doctrina, Fortitudo, Pietas.
The Way of Traditional Priestly Formation -- Once to Africa and Back
In the 80s of the previous century Msgr Gilles Wach found himself incardinated in the Archdiocese of then Archbishop of Genoa, Giuseppe Cardinal Siri in Italy, as the situation in French seminaries was no longer satisfactory to ensure a priestly formation with the significance of Catholic Tradition. After a call for help to the former Prefect of the Congregation of Faith, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, and the then emeritus Prefect of the Congregation of Clergy, Silvio Cardinal Oddi, it came to the founding of a new society which was obligated to offer the Tridentine Mass in 1988.
The canonical recognition of the Society of Apostolic Life followed in 1990 through the then Bishop of Moil in Gabun, because of the difficulties then for communities connected to Tradition. Msgr Cyraique-Simeon Obama had been a student of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in Libreville. Since then, Msgr Wach became General Prior of the Institute.
Establishment of the General House of the Priestly Seminary in Gricigliano
With the help of Augustinus Cardinal Mayer OSB structures were found in Tuscany which were lent by the Benedictine Abbey of Fontgambault. In 1991 the then Archbishop of Florence, Silvano Cardinal Piovanelli published the necessary decree for the foundation of a General House and a priestly seminary for the Institute. Thus the new society could come from Africa to Europe and settle in the small town of Pontassieve in the Archdiocese of Florence. In Gricigliano, a part of the city is located the Gernal House and the Seminary of St. Philipp Neri of the Institute. Since then the Institute has experienced enormous growth.
The Institute numbers 61 priests, six deacons and more than 80 seminarians. Msgr Wach found important support in the building of a community which brings the Institute to the German speaking areas. The settlement of the German District of the Institute is located in Bavarian, Gmain. The Institute follows the form of Choirmasters and Monastic Scholars.
The 2008 Recognition of the Soceity of Apostolic and Papal Right
In 2006 the Institute established the Heart of Jesus Society as a lay association of the faithful for the spiritual support of the Institute. In 2008 the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest was recognized by the Papal Commission Ecclesia Dei as a Society of Apostolic Life and Papal Right. The Institute celebrated the Holy Mass and cared for the Liturgy of the Hours completely in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. A female branch of contemplative sisters also belongs to the community.
The Mission of the Institute of Christ the King and Sovereign Priest " is the honor of God and the sanctification of priests in the service of the Church and souls. Its specific aim is missionary: to spread the reign of our Lord Jesus Christ in all spheres of human life. Our work is carried out under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception, to Whom the Institute is consecrated."

Australian Courts Open up the Flood Gates for Sex-Abuse Claims
![]() |
In the spotlight ... The commission will investigate all institutions and was sparked by allegations of abuse and cover-up by the Catholic Church in the Hunter Valley. Photo: AFP |
Edit: A friend just sent this in the e-mail. Let's hear it for objectivity in reporting by Austrialia's gloating and malignant Syndney Morning Herald as it heralds what will be a colossal and unjust blow against the Church in Australia. Listening to some of the Australian bloggers, they seem absolutely demoralized. These demonic media campaigns are very effective at causing despair in some circles. We hope those effected by them do not give up hope.
Remember, priestly abuse is actually rare and the ones who are largely responsible for it (but also get away with it) are Leftists.
We've also noticed the unequal treatment in the media. The anti-Catholic media bosses don't give as much time to the protestant churches, Sesame Street, Jewish rabbis or atheistic university professors.
[Alleged] VICTIMS of sexual abuse would be able to sue the Catholic Church for compensation as a result of the recommendations of the Royal Commission on Child Sexual Abuse, legal experts say.
And any victim of sexual abuse would be able to give evidence, if they wished. A discussion paper released late on Monday by the commission secretariat says the commission's findings ''may extend to ensuring that there are no obstacles to the making of claims and that there is sufficient support for victims of abuse in pursuing those claims''.Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/national/victims-to-be-able-to-sue-church-20121119-29mdn.html#ixzz2CpIF4flu

The First Thanksgiving Was Catholic
![]() |
Imperial Flag of Spain |
Edit: the first thanksgiving was in 1565 near St. Augustine Florida. This gets brought up every year in some places, but not nearly enough, and it is with the Catholic significance of this event, which commemorated our victory over the aggressive and hostile Hugenot threat in the New World.
Rather than a Puritan feast. We have a Catholic Feast, and a good reason to go to Mass and to be thankful for God's generosity and mercy.
![]() |
Pseudo-Paella |
This feast also embraces diversity, since it celebrates the glories of Hispanic civilization. What better time to enjoy a Spanish dish after Mass, Vespers and Benediction?
Here's an excerpt from an article with some editing:
By Virginia Linn / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Forget the turkey, the silly Pilgrim hats and the buckles. Forget Plymouth Rock and 1621.
The man resposible was Spanish Admiral Pedro Menendez de Aviles, who came ashore on Sept. 8, 1565. This is where he, 500 soldiers, 200 sailors, 100 civilian families and artisans, and the Timucuan Indians who occupied the village of Seloy gathered at a makeshift altar and said the first Christian Mass. And afterward, this is where they held the first Thanksgiving feast.
The Timucuans brought oysters and giant clams. The Spaniards carried from their ships garbanzo beans, olive oil, bread, pork and wine.
It all happened in this bucolic 300-acre Catholic mission and shrine that offers a quiet respite amid the frenetic tourist activity of St. Augustine, the oldest European settlement in the United States. A replica of the Rustic Altar sits next to the shore in the general area where archaeologists believe the Mass took place.
Michael Gannon, former director of the mission and University of Florida distinguished service emeritus professor of history, presented the celebration in his meticulously researched book, "The Cross in the Sand," in 1965 and has argued that this feast should be recognized as the first Thanksgiving.
Each year the city's founding on Sept. 8 is celebrated with much pageantry, including cannon fire, a mayor's proclamation, speeches by historians and Mass at the Rustic Altar. A grass-roots group and city commission have been set up to plan festivities to celebrate the city's 450th anniversary in 2015.
After Juan Ponce de Leon discovered the peninsula, named it La Florida ("Land of Flowers") and claimed it for Spain in 1513, the Spanish Crown tried without success to permanently colonize the land. By 1564, the French had established a fort and colony on the nearby St. John's River. King Philip II named Menendez governor of Florida and commissioned him to establish a permanent settlement and gain control of the territory. After a failed attempt to cross the sea because of bad weather, Menendez landed at a harbor in Northern Florida on Sept. 4, 1565, that he named San Agustin (St. Augustine) in honor of the saint upon whose feast day, Aug. 28, he had first sighted land near Cape Canaveral.
The fleet's chaplain was a secular priest named Francisco Lopez de Mendoza Grajales, who not only was the fleet's spiritual leader, but also kept a log describing the historic passage and landing.
"On Saturday the 8th, the general landed with many banners spread, to the sounds of trumpets and salutes of artillery," according to a translation of what Father Lopez wrote. "As I had gone ashore the evening before, I took a cross and went to meet him, singing the hymn 'Te Deum Laudamus.' The general, followed by all who accompanied him, marched up to the cross, knelt and kissed it. A large number of Indians watched these proceedings and imitated all they saw done."
The Spanish named the landing spot Nombre de Dios, or "Name of God," and it became missionary headquarters in the new land. Father Lopez was named pastor of the new settlement.
"The Timucuans were gentle people in terms of manner and disposition," Mr. Johnson said. "They didn't have any reason to believe that the Spanish were enemies." Menendez wanted to find a way to co-exist with the native people in a peaceful way, he said. "He treated the chief as he himself wanted to be treated."

Edit: While it is true that they lived in peace with the Indians, they wanted to drive the French out of Florida. There were already substantial settlements of Hugenots, which can be read about in more detail at Tradition in Action.

Up to 500,000 Demonstrate in France Against Gomorrah
Edit: Although the media are saying thousands, there may be as many as half a million protesting this. Here is a report from La Parisienne, courtesy of Gallia Watch, apparently not everyone in France is as "enlightened" as those in the United States, which overwhelmingly gave its approval for such things amid massive voter fraud:
Certainly the French Bishops deserve much credit for this one. Their response has been steady, united and consistent leading up to this event. It's certainly more than can be said of the US Bishops who singularly failed to make a victorious showing during the US Fall elections. One commenter on Gallia Watch soberly replies:
Here's a video outlining what's happened:
GalliaWatch: Thousands Demonstrate against Gay Marriage and Adoption
Also, France recently voted to make abortions "free" for all including teenages.
Le Parisien reports that between 6,000 and 8,000 persons demonstrated in Marseille, proving that there are more than just drug dealers in the beleaguered city. However, counter-demonstrators unfurled a banner that read:
"Your model of society is dead, welcome to Sodom and Gomorrha".

It's certainly more than can be said of the US Bishops who singularly failed to make a victorious showing during the US Fall elections. One commenter on Gallia Watch soberly replies:
I think the resistance to this in the US has pretty much collapsed. The Cold War is long over, it's time to recognize that the US is essentially neo-Bolshevist and is the great revolutionary threat in the world today.

Hungary's Prime Minister: "A Europe Governed by Christian Values Would Regenerate"
Edit: Hungary has been challenging the established order now for some time, invoking St. Stephen, King of Monarchy, and attempting to abolish abortion. What else is in store? Also, remember, this man isn't Catholic, but protestant, but he's defending a Catholic order all the same. The following is an attempt to translate the article from InfoCatolica with some help from google:
The presentation of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, at the XIV Congress of Catholics and Public Life on "Hope and Christian Response to the Crisis", did not disappoint the expectations of the public, with a standing ovation that broke the silence that had followed his conference. Orban said that European economic depression does not respond to a "situation", but is a result of a crisis of spiritual order. Specifically, what is happening in Europe is the result of the forgetfulness of Christian values that were the basis of their prosperity.
(CEU / InfoCatolica) The Hungarian Prime Minister wondered how it was possible that the collapse of the European dream of union based on Christian beliefs was still driven by them. "The European crisis," he said, "has not come by chance but by the carelessness, neglect of their responsibilities by leaders who have questioned precisely those Christian roots, that is, the driving force that allowed European cohesion, family, work, credit ... These values were the old continental economic power, thanks mainly to the development which in those days was done in accordance with principles."
As an example of the economic collapse that led to the crisis, he cited a change in direction of the credits previously granted to persons accredited, as responsible, but have come to offer to those who were not. There was a credit, yes, explained Viktor Orban, but even this was subject to the "standards" of Christianity. Thus, in a "Christian Europe" the excesses that caused the current difficulties, would not have been possible, he said. "A Christian Europe would have noticed that every euro is worked for. A Christian Europe would not have allowed entire countries sink into slavery to credit."
Loans with usury, uncollectible lead to debt slavery
He recalled how the Old Testament prohibited usury and how the Church has always rejected the abusive charging interest ... until the Reformation which gave way to greed, so that now the credits have been stripped of their moral dimension and entire countries have become enslaved by debts. "The yoke is no longer the sword to become debt," he added. This has become a more acute crisis in which political leaders have begun to forget the human aspects to be forced to pay the debts of the former, who in turn, have safeguarded their personal interests placed in large companies or institutions after "a career" in politics, said the prime minister of Hungary. The new leaders look with scorn and mock Christian values, especially for the defense of life, family.
The Example of Hungary
Orban has stated his belief that behind every successful economy there is "some kind of spiritual driving force." "A Europe governed according to Christian values would regenerate" stressed in the light of this reasoning."
He gave the example of his country, Hungary, explaining that a poor country like Hungary with a legacy of communism and where the average pension is 250 euros, has begun to rebuild morally. Calling to mind that their first king, St. Stephen offered the crown to the Virgin Mary, dying without issue.
Your new constitution is based on the dignity, freedom, family, nation, fidelity, and love, with the express obligation to help the poor. That is, it is based on Christian values, something that has deeply angered the European left that came to condemn in the Parliament in Strasbourg , because it wants to make Europe a continent where atheist family concept is replaced by individualism.
As a result of his own experience, Viktor Orban proposed a renewal of culture and politics based on Christian values and, more precisely, in the description that St. Paul makes where charity rejoices with the truth. "We must make our that message and not see another way ..." Orban said at the end of his lecture, enthusiastically acclaimed by the audience for a few long minutes of applause.

Frontal Attack: "Dominus Jesus" is "Unfortunately Formulated"

Kardinal Kurt Koch © +ecumenix, Flickr, CC BY-NC |
Fidelity to the Pope and to the Conciliar Magisterium is only expected of the Society of St Pius X -- not Old Liberal Curial Cardinals, who are undermining the Faith.
(kreuz.net) The statement in 'Dominus Jesus" that Protestants are not churches in the proper sense, is a stumbling block and an "unfortunate formulation".
This is what Old Liberal Cardinal Kurt Koch -- President of the Pontifical Office for Unity said at an event of the Old Liberal 'Focolare Movement' in Bern according to reports by the Swiss weekly 'Reformierte Press'.
'Dominus Jesus' is a declaration by the Congregation of Doctrine and the Faith in August of 2000. It was signed by then Cardinal Ratzinger.
A Piece of Bread
Cardinal Koch answered in the negative, if he found it correct to refuse Reformed Christians Communion.
"I would never refuse this to anyone who came to Communion. I've never personally done this."
For the Reformed their Supper is a piece of bread, that recalls Holy Thursday.
A Charter for Hocus Pocus Communion?
Cardinal Koch only wants to "speak" to the Reformed Christians who snap up Communion.
The 'Reformed Press" asked if this statement by the Cardinal is a "charter for Swiss priests", to give their hocus pocus Communion to people who don't believe in it?

Vatican: Priests Must be Recognizable by Their Clothing

Vatican City (kathnet/KAP) The Vatican has called upon active priests, to wear their priestly clothing in service and in public. With a circular letter in October, which has now been made known, Cardinal Secretary Tarcisio Bertone reminded his priestly colleagues of valid ecclesiastical norms.
Especially in a secular world it is important that a priest can be visibly recognizable as a man of God and servant of the Church, is how it has been relayed to Roman ecclesiastical circles.
According to a Church canon 284, clerics are encouraged, "in accordance with the norms given by the Bishops' Conference and the justifiable locale customs to wear appropriate clothes."
The Italian Bishops' Conference has prescribed the cassock or the clerics -- black or dark grey suit with white priest's collar (see photo). The Roman Diocesan Director has disseminated these norms for all priests who are active in their area.
It is not entirely clear who the recipient for this new decree is. There Bishops and Monsignore are almost continuously directed according to clerical dress codes, may be meant as an example and a signal for priestly guests, who visit Rome, say observers.

Zaitzkofen: SSPX Invited to Diocesan Priest Meeting to Discuss Vatican II
Edit: one more conceivable reason why Archbishop Müller, whose Diocese this was, was called to Rome to occupy what looks increasingly like a symbolic office. This would never have happened when he was the Ordinary here.
(Zaitzkofen) The seminary Herz-Jesu has invited the Society of St. Pius X to a Diocesan priests meeting.
Theme: Second Vatican Council
Speaker: Lecturers of the Seminary
Monday, the 26th of November 2012
It will begin at 10:30 and last till 4:30. Respondy by 17 November 2012, in Zaitzkofen. (Priestly Seminary Herz-Jesu, Zaitzkofen 15, 84069 Schierling; Tel. 09451/943 190).
The Pastors, chaplains and priests, who are active in pastoral care are invited.
The Society of St. Pius X has entertained contact with all priests in Germany, who are interested in Catholic tradition. In 2011 17 pastors and chaplains participated in a lecture on the Latin Breviary in the Seminary of Herz Jesus.
Since March of this year the Society's Father Robert Schmitt was officially authorized to maintain contact with Diocesan priests.
The largest action of the Society was the sending of the DVD for learning the Catholic Sacrifice of the Mass. In 2007 the Society personally wrote 17,000 priests in Germany in order to offer them this DVD. There were 2,000 DVDs ordered. The reason for the action was the Motu proprio, Summorum Pontificum of Benedict XVI, which had freed the traditional form of Mass again.

Cardinal Thinks He Would have Been on the Side of the Reformers
Overconfident: The Curial Cardinal believes of himself that during the Reformation that he would have stood "on the side of the Church reformers".

Kardinal Kurt Koch © +ecumenix, Flickr, CC-BY-NC |
(kreuz.net) The themes of celibacy and women priests don't have the importance that is ascribed to them: "If the future of the Church depended on these questions, the Protestant churches wouldn't have had these problems."
Cardinal Kurt Koch -- President of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity -- stated this today in the online edition of the Dusseldorf newspaper 'Rheinischen Post'.
A Pious Wish
About Fr. Hans Kung -- the apostate theologian and darling of the powerful media bosses -- the Cardinal declared: "There are theology professors who think they know better about everything."
He continued with a pious wish:
"We must have the expectation of all theologians in the universities, that they conduct their activity of education in union with the faith of the Church."
Will the Church do as a minority, what it did when it was the majority?
The Cardinal admitted that the European alienation from Christendom is far advanced. Christendom will no longer be the majority in Europe.
He garnished this statement with a shot of calculated optimism: "But it has often been the minority which formed history?"
The Cardinal assumes on that that the Church must pick up its neglected duties now no one is left.
Not in the Culture -- but in Nature?
The newspaper recalled the observation of the Pope that people in Europe are almost begging for a meaning to life.
The journalistic objection: "Are you not tired of bread and circuses?"
The Cardinal thinks, "that the men are irremediably religious, and in that sense, religion belongs to the nature of man."
It comes out
As to the question on the disastrous year of the Reformation in 2017 the Cardinal tacked: "The Reformation brought positive things."
In any case he was quick to point out about the schism and the bloody confessional wars: "These things can not be celebrated."
The schismatic, alcoholic and skirt chasing Martin Luther (+1546) he described as a "passionate seeker after God": "He had a genial side."
The dialectically: "Surely, Luther's negative sides are not to be overlooked."
A Reformer? Why not Today?
Then the crucial question: "Where would you have stood in the 16th century?"
The self-conscious answer of the Cardinal: "I would have been on the side of the Church reformers."
As an example of a reformer he didn't name Luther, but St. Francis of Assisi (+1226).
The Cardinal left one question still unanswered: How is it that the Church reformers of the 16th century were always emerging in their personal lives only men of the system?

The Old Liberals Are Frozen

(kreuz.net) The Second Vatican Council has been a "great moment".
This was explained by the Munich Dogmatic Theologian, Fr. Bertram Stubenrauch (51) on the 13th of November in "Mittelbyerischen Zeitung".
He was quick to modify his statement: "If one discusses the faith and considers it, as it should continue in the Church, it is always a special moment."
Does he think this only of the Left?
As to the question about the most important results of the Council the secular history remains unanimous.
The Council recognized that "God is for everyone who is."
Christians would "not have arrange the right, who is nearer to God or further away from him" -- he said.
With that he has implicitly declared that even Bishop Richard Williamson is in the heart of the Church.
The Old Liberals are Frozen
The Society of St. Pius X as far as that goes "is frozen on a certain point of the stream of history" -- distorted Fr. Stubenrauch.
That is "forgetful".
In reality the Society of Pius X is one of the few Catholic societies in Germany which could hope to have a future.
Who is "narrow minded"?
He eagerly reads the Conciliar texts: "They make the security of the faith detectable" -- said the emotional Fr. Stubenrauch and quickly continued, that this security is "not narrow minded."
Doesn't he want to distance himself from the narrow minded and incorrigible Old Liberalism with this statement?
Damning Judgement
The statement that the Council has "created obstacles", Fr. Stubenrauch responded with: "It's always been that way."
He didn't bring the evidence from Church history for this.
What is going to come from the Conciliar Church, "no man knows" -- he said with a damning judgment.
What Progress?
As to the question if -- as the question was pitched to him by his interview partner --
if the "progress" went too slowly, Fr. Stubenrauch answered cooly: "no".
Because: "Who will answer for the reforms, if they lead again to conflicts and new schisms?"
And: "Anything which doesn't grow is an artificial religion."
Difficult questions not blocked
A third Vatican Council is not needed according to Fr. Stubenrauch: "The desire is expected in our hectic time."
He is for that which the Second Vatican Council has implemented, "now it will be implemented in peace and the difficult questions won't be blocked."
Actually, that latter is exactly the situation in the Old Liberal concrete Church.

Germany Stuck in a Downward Spiral

(kreuz.net) German economy will be doing penance because of the age of its population till 2060-- more than other industrial lands.
That is the result of a far future study by the Paris based 'Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development' (OECD)
Fall Back to 10th Place
The German economy will only grow 1.1 percent till 2060 every year.
In the coming fifty years no other industrial country will lose so intensely its social significance than Germany.
The country will fall in the list of national economies from 5th place to 10th.
German Rest Home
The reason for this is the aging of the decadent and demoralized population.
The study shows that the portion of those over 65 years of age -- compared to the spread of age between 15 to 64 years -- will double to almost 65%.
The share of Germany in world gross national production will fall from 2 to 4.8%.
It gets worse
The winners of the study are China, India and Indonesia.
Their economic weight results in great part from their significant populations.
The OECD insists then that these forecasts over such long periods of time are bound with significant uncertainties.
In other words: It could be worse.

The Dregs Swim to the Top
Regarding the Ascent of the Green Party
The parties are part of democracy, because they allow people without ability and character to excel.
(kreuz.net) Democracy is a form of mass social existence in which the lower classes make a tin god of themselves.
With the erecting of a temple of self-divinization -- the propylaea -- the Democracy takes its beginning.
He is positions himself for deification.
The Mob Revolution
In these days such temples aren't called propylaea, but parliaments.
The political parties are the components of Democracies, because they offer possibilities for advancement, which reach disproportionate social heights, without being accompanied by corresponding accomplishments or necessary qualities of character.
The conquest of the central political positions of power is the successful completion of the stage of Mass Revolution.
This has penetrated in all areas of social life, decomposing them democratically.
The Mass Aborbs
The aim of democracy consists in undermining the established competition.
In its place a cornucopia of opportunities is made, which gives the masses "equal chances", to position themselves as members of parliament or higher in order to secure for themselves the best possible positions.
The universities, television studios, the courts, the administrative apparatus and the executive can not long withstand the power of the democratic masses.
They will by and by be overwhelmed by the democratic mob.
Emancipation of Ignorance
Need brings creativity and urges the teaming mob to pull all registers.
Through this all science will be falsified, as well as pseudo-sciences will be founded.
New titles will be introduced for common dignitaries.
Beheading Society
One can scratch some money together in order to appear prosperous and extravagant .
Jobs and positions will be discovered which no one needs.
At the end of democratization comes social collapse.
The democratic monster beheads society, in which all of those who are well-informed are pushed aside and the know-it-all is put in his place.
