Orissa: For Christians, the Terror Returns
Bhubaneshwar, India (kath.net/Fidesdienst) A new wave of violence sparked a renewal of fear and terror in Christian Communities in India: as on the scenes observers of Fidesdienst report since last December in the last year in the district of Malkangiri in the State of Orissa, renewed attacks have been made against Christians by the local tribal people of the region. In the last month the attacks have become more serious: there have been a total of 10 assaults reported, at which a number of faithful were wounded, including even women and children. As the Pastor Vijay Purusu of the Evangelical "Betel Church" reports, Christians were attacked in nightly assaults: at least four Christian families have fled their homes in fear.
The East Indian State Orissa and in particular the district of Khandamal were already in the years of 2007-2008 showplace for a long series of attacks and aggression against Christians, where at least 6.600 homes of Christians were destroyed and over 56.000 people lost their homes. According to reports by local observers from these communities there are feared to be new episodes coming, it is believed that the Hindu formed Militias of the "Rashtiriya Swayamsevak Sangh" (RSS) are concealed behind these attacks. This will mean the spread of renewed fear and terror that will lead many Christians will leave the region, should the local authorities not take action.
The Christians reported the episodes in the recent weeks to the police, but have received in any case no official response. In the mean time, the faithful of have formed "peace committees", which will attempt to defuse the situation. The cause of these recent tensions are the conversions of some of the tribal people inhabiting the villages to Christianity, which the Hindus do not approve of. "The attacks also come because some Hindus do not value to know Christianity in the area of Social and Public Health," said an observer from Fidesdienst.
in the mean time Orissa is further in the middle of the public interest of India: the "All India Christian Council" AICC have delivered a memorandum to persuade the Indian Interior Minister P. Chidambaram and the Premier Minister of the State of Orrisa, Naveen Patnaik, to allow the Christian formation of a "National Investigation Agency", whose intent is to demonstrate the responsibility of the radical Hindu network "Sang Parivar" in connection with the anti-christian violence in Orissa in 2008. John Dayal directing member of the AICC, explains: "There is no doubt that the members of Sang Parivar participated in the violence."
A further more heavy episode of violence has been reported from the State of Rajasthan in Northewestern India: in Jaipur a Christian pastor from the people of Adivasi was forced to run naked through the main street of the city, while Hindu youth followed him on motorized bicycles and ridiculed him. Concerning the incident, about which the local media have not reported, occurred on the 1st of February and for over a month since it was reported to the police, who have still failed to apprehend those responsible.

Jaruzelski confirms he will not go to Vatican For Mayday Celebration
Here's the story.
Former Oppressor of Poland |
[tnenews.pl]The news follows heated debate in Poland as to whether it is appropriate for the former president to attend what is the penultimate stage of the process by which the late pontiff is made a saint.
Referring to “certain voices in politics and the press,” Jaruzelski told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that he wanted to avoid creating ‘a pretext for yet more sensationalistic information and tendentious interpretation.’
Jaruzelski added that his health was likewise not at its best, a further factor in prompting him to make the declaration.

Very Strange Things Happen in the Diocese of Chur, Switzerland
At the moment, Swiss media are grinding an axe against the excellent Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur.
Some dissenting priests of his diocese – including a former director of the seminary and a former vicar general – together with some state sponsored church-tax administrators cry out for “effective steps” and a “focused campaign” against the bishop.
Their aim is to make the bishop quit his position.
But:
• Bishop Vitus Huonder holds a doctorate in Old Testament and a doctorate in liturgy. He has been for many years the vicar general of his present diocese.
• Bishop Vitus Huonder is a Catholic and faithful to the magisterium of the Church and faithful to the Pope.
• Bishop Vitus Huonder is a proponent of the Reform of the Reform, which is so close to the heart of Pope Benedict XVI.
• Bishop Vitus Huonder has faithfully implemented the motu proprio ‘Summorum Pontificum’ in his diocese and has himself celebrated on some occasions the Traditional Latin Mass.
• Bishop Vitus Huonder has defended seminarians who ask for a truly priestly formation in the Seminary.
• Bishop Vitus Huonder has welcomed a studio of Gloria.TV in his diocese. He has written a letter of support for Gloria.TV.
Gloria.TV calls on every Catholic of good will to sign a petition letter and to show support for this faithful bishop who, in this moment, is attacked by the wolves.

Istanbul: Possible Attack Against Ecumenical Patriarch Thwarted
Two youthful perpetrators are in custody.
Ankara (kath.net/KAP) The police have thwarted an attempt to attack one of the most highly positioned Christian leaders in Istanbul, possibly against the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomaios I. As the Turkish press reported on Monday, there were two suspects apprehended of the age of 17 and 18 .
Both men, who were armed when they were apprehended, explained afterward their intention that they wanted to become famous. The media was expected to encourage parallel murders of other Christians in Turkey, which would in any case have been encouraged by the youth.
The police were alerted about the plot through an anonymous E-Mail. An acquaintance of the suspects alarmed the authorities that both young men wanted to murder an "important" Clergyman in the district of Fatih. In Fatih, the Armenian Patriarch has his seat as does the Ecumenical Patriarch, the spiritual center of Orthodox Christianity.
A number of newspapers recalled the Priest Andrea Santoro, the Armenian journalist Hrant Dink and three protestants in east Turkish Malatya, as well as a German missionary: they were murdered by men between the ages of 16 and 20.

Still More Hundreds of Anglicans Will be Catholic by Easter
Around 20 priests and 600 laity are entering into the newly structured Peronal Ordinariat "Our Lady of Walsingham".
LLondon (kath.net/KAP)In Great Britain, beginning this Ash Wednesday, there are in total 33 large groups of Anglicans which will make the step to cross over to the Catholic Church in Easter. It is consists of around 20 Priests 600 Laity, which will enter the newly structured Catholic Personal Ordinariat "Our Lady of Walsingham", according to the Italian Catholic News Agency 'SIR' this Tuesday. After additional weeks of preparation the converts could receive the Sacrament of Confirmation by Easter Sunday or Holy Thursday in the Catholic Church. The first priestly ordination for the new Ordinariat should fall on Pentecost.
The Vatican decree of 2009 "Anglicanorum coetibus" made a church structure, created to enable Anglicans who wanted to come over. They allow the converts the maintenance of a series of Anglican Traditions. In the middle of January 2011 the first Personal Ordinariat was erected and the earlier Anglican Bishop Keith Newton was named as its leader. Further Ordinariats could be erected next in the USA, in Canada and Australia, according to Rome.
The Vatican has repeatedly explained that the new structures will not disturb the ecumenical dialog between Catholics and Anglicans. It does not constitute active wooing away of members of other churches; in any case one wants persons, who for their part, are seeking a new spiritual home.

New Clarifications Make Immemorial Mass Required Reading in Seminaries
The Immemorial Mass of All Ages, founded and celebrated by the Pope Gregory the Great, will now be required reading for Modern Seminarians as reported in Messa in Latino and translated by Hans Coessens.
All seminaries will have to celebrate the extraordinary form according to a future Motu Proprio to be released by the Curia and all dioceses will have to acknowledge any regulations on Summorum Pontificum as null and void.
This will mean that Seminary Rectors won't be technically able to undercut the Immemorial with petty concerns and dissembling. It's an explicit order and it starts to make Cardinal Ranjith's ominous prediction more encouraging, prophetic and even clear.
German "Far-Right" Politician Leaves Political Party For Church But Reprimands SSPX
In the past, Wiener was the President of the NPD-District Chapter of Regensburg and active in the Right organization, 'Free Resistance Regensburg'. This is according to the Landshut print edition of their 'Weekly Paper' [German] on the 26th of February last month. He gave the following statement:
"On 30 November I have put down all of my responsibilities with the NPD and have left the party."
Here's his statement to a baffled "Wochenblatt' which seems to understand the murky world of fascism even less than it understand the Catholic religion:
"The reason for my leaving is based in that I want to return again to my old Faith, and also that the new Party Program of the NPD no longer professes itself that it no longer belongs to the Christian West or its values."
W. took with that the consequences: "As a believing Catholic I can no longer serve as a member of the NPD."
He will not forsake his political engagement in the future, however:
"There I mean to fight for the love of the one true, triune God and my German Fatherland, against the creeping Islamicization, the dissolution of National States, the mass murder of unborn children, homosexual marriage as well as against social injustice and to protect the rights of disabled people."
Pleasantly Surprised
The German Nazi-crazy media had revealed in June 2010 W's presence at the SSPX ordination in Zaitzkofen in Regensburg in order to use it against the Society.
The German website of the Lefebvrists commented on the conversion of the politician:
"Even if Mr. W.W. were not personally known to the editorship: if his conversion is sincere, then therefore we'll go out and can only congratulate him!"
The article noticed that this turn of events brought a "remark of praise" from the decadent German Bundestag:
"The Society of St. Pius X has helped to bring about a reduction in the extreme right scene."
Why the Society of St. Pius X will never adjust itself to the Zeitgeist. A few clarifications to my resigning from the NPD. by Willi Wiener.
Fear Makes a Terrible Adviser
(kreuz.net) I have been unwillingly been turned into grist for the mill of the Media after my exit from the NPD.
![]() |
Ex-NPD Politician Willi Wiener |
The Society of St. Pius X has given a prominent place to a corresponding report from the 'Regensburger Wochenblatt' and under the addendum of an unhappy politically fawning commentary [referred to above].
For that reason my Damascus experience and return to the Catholic Church was already in January 2009 -- and actually not to the Society of St. Pius X, rather to the Holy Mass in the Old Rite in the so-called official Church.
Naturally I am aware of the media campaign against Bishop Richard Williamson in the Society of St. Pius X.
I recommend the SSPX and it brought me there but have come to appreciate -- clearly later -- completely normal believers, who themselves happen to practice their Faith there.
I did not want to damage the Society by my presence as an NPD Functionary and received the encouraging news that Jesus died for NPDer's also, as I made my first Exercises with them at the end of December 2009.
It was at first with these Exercises that I began to attend Holy Mass regularly.
I left the party at the end of November in 2010 -- in any case not from any compulsion or even suggestions from the side of the official Society of St. Pius X.
The motives for my exit were and are completely from my own personal belief and understanding.
My basic political coordinates, which I had given in interview with the 'Regensburg Wochenblatt' are the same as given:
"The reason for my leaving is based in that I want to return again to my old Faith, and also that the new Party Program of the NPD no longer professes itself to no longer belongs to the Christian West or its values."
The 'Wochenblatt' did not cite my next statement: "I am now completely departed in any case from Party Politics."
I made it very clear to the 'Regensburger Wochenblatt' that there are no alternatives for me as a voter among the established political parties.
On the contrary: "The Left, Greens, FDP, SPD and also the supposedly Christian CDU/CSU are putting our land in danger, because they are standing for Islamicization, for the dissolution of our Fatherland in the EU, abortion, homosexual marriage as well as in general for values-- and the diminuation of the Faith.
Well it was with bewilderment and deep disappointment that I came to understand that the Society had taken it upon themselves -- initially they took it directly over the report of my exit from the Party -- to use this as a means of a voter initiative for their members and sympathizers to shamelessly call for an open vote for the CDU in Baden-Württemberg.
From this point forth I want to completely disassociate myself from its Press representative, Father Andreas Steiner.
It is clear to see from this that a Catholic Organization should never campaign, when there is more than effective and sufficient grounds that the CDU is undeniably anti-Catholic.
One thing must be clear: I did not leave the NPD in order that I can now be turned into a quasi campaign society for the CDU.
The Society of St. Pius X is become my pure spiritual home -- when they fancy from naked fear of persecution -- fear of the closing of their schools, fear from being taken to through the federal courts -- that they can seek favor politically and align themselves, then I will not follow in this.
Fear is always a poor adviser. And your political opponents sense this fear, so they use it -- just like a priest stumbles on the other, like falling dominoes.
As a believing Catholic and from my political experience I can only warn the Society of this.
For from political and cultural alignments will come softening and leveling in the religious area.

Schönborn: Liturgical Reform is the Reinforcement of Old Traditions
The Viennese Archbishop at the Altar Blessing in the Viennese Parish Church of Schottenfeld: The people's altar of the Liturgical Reform has now pushed the altar space in the foreground and posited another symbolism.
Vienna (kath.net/KAP) The liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council is not the weakening of traditions, rather their reinforcement. Cardinal Christoph Schönborn preached this on Sunday at the consecration of an altar in the Viennese parish church in Schottenfeld.
Before the reform the priest prayed at the high altar facing the same direction as the faithful to the east -- toward the rising of the sun which Christ symbolizes. The people's altar of the Liturgical Reform has now pushed the altar space in the foreground and posited another symbolism, said Schönborn: "We gather around the altar, around Christ." With this reform it is brought more clearly to expression, "that Christ is our center". That is the reason that the consecration of an altar has a special meaning, explained the Cardinal.
Schönborn preached among other things about the abuse cases in the Church and acknowledged the misdeeds "even of us priests". Above all the Church is concerned in the fugure to gather itself around Christ and focus its life on Him. Then one doesn't have to be afraid of the future, said the Cardinal.

Jesuit Priest Hired by Catholic School After Allegations
And the list of accused Philadelphia priests grows. The Rev. Thomas F. Gleeson, who is a Jesuit priest and part-time chaplain at St. Joseph's University, was the target of a civil sexual-harassment lawsuit in 1999 in California.
John Bollard alleged in the suit that Gleeson and two other priests harassed him for five years while he was a seminarian at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, where Gleeson was president. The suit was settled in 2000 out of court, with the priests denying any wrongdoing.

4,000 Muslims Attack Christians in Egypt
Thanks to American social studies, most people in the States have no idea that up until the end of World War II that a vibrant Catholic world existed on the shores of the East Mediteranean long after the last Crusader citadel fell in Acre in the 14th Century.
Even the Army has gotten involved, "helping" as it were. After watching these scenes it is to be hoped that no one again questions the motives that drove the Crusades in the first place.
(AINA) -- A mob of nearly four thousand Muslims has attacked Coptic homes this evening in the village of Soul, Atfif in Helwan Governorate, 30 kilometers from Cairo, and torched the Church of St. Mina and St. George. There are conflict ing reports about the whereabouts of the Church pastor Father Yosha and three deacons who were at church; some say they died in the fire and some say they are being held captive by the Muslims inside the church.
Witnesses report the mob prevented the fire brigade from entering the village. The army, which has been stationed for the last two days in the village of Bromil, 7 kilometers from Soul, initially refused to go into Soul, according to the officer in charge. When the army finally sent three tanks to the village, Muslim elders sent them away, saying that everything was "in order now."
A curfew has been imposed on the 12,000 Christians in the village.

Police Release Confidential Documents to Media
[Ohio News: theblaze] OH Priest Delivers Wild Drunken Rant After Arrest: offers to be 'Sexual Slave' When police arrested a local priest in Brimfield Township, OH Sunday night for driving drunk, they never expected to be threatened and propositioned. But that's exactly what happened. Father Ignatius Kury was arrested after police found him lying down in the back of his car on the side of the road. His blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit. That's when police took him to the local jail and put him in a cell while he sobered up. That's also when he started ranting wildly: "I sum it up as unusual at best," Brimfield Township Police Chief David Blough told WJW-TV. The station explains: Police rolled a video tape of the incident to protect themselves and use it as evidence in court.
"Because of the fact that one of my officers walked by the holding cell and he was exposing himself," said Chief Blough. Kury is heard on the tape saying, "I'll give you a sermon on the mount." According to Chief Blough, the priest's rant lasted over 20 minutes during which he threatened and propositioned officers. Kury is heard saying, "I'll pay you whatever you want. What do you want? Want me to give you a [expletive]? Is that what you want?" "Do you want me to be a sexual slave?" Eventually, Kury was released on bond.

Irrelevance of Pope's Remarks
So, if it doesn't matter to "youth", perhaps it's because the substance of both religions have been degraded in people's minds by the very ecumenical gestures being ignored in the first place. People don't care about Catholicism or Judaism because they are largely perceived as hypocritical social service organizations, and who can blame them when there are prelates like Cardinal Sean roaming around?
[Ynetnews] Jewish and Roman Catholic leaders reviewing their dialogue over the past four decades expressed concern on Wednesday that younger generations had little idea of the historic reconciliation that has taken place between them.

EVREUX, France - A rural French priest and his flock are facing excommunication after the Vatican became involved in his two-year battle to remain in the parish, the local bishop told AFP on Wednesday.
Father Francis Michel, 62, has been the priest in Normandy's Thiberville in north-western France for 24 years. The priest, who often says mass in Latin, has the support of his parishioners and local officials, mayor Guy Paris said.
The simmering conflict between the priest and the archbishopric came to a head after the Vatican's Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura in December rejected Michel's appeal against an order he go to another parish. \

The Portal -- CDF Says the Goal of Ecumenism is Unity with the Catholic Church
“The ordinariate is very important to the Holy Father,” said Father Hermann Geissler, the Austrian priest who leads the Congregation’s doctrinal office. “The ordinariate promotes unity and is a powerful instrument for unity, it will help Christians to be evangelists.” Noting that “we must cooperate and grow together,” the priest said that the Church will be enriched by the Anglican patrimony of music.
“The goal of the ecumenical movement is complete visible union with one Christ and with Peter in one Church,” Father Geissler emphasized.

Theology Professors Are Completely Irrelevant: Celibacy Memorandum
Rome (kath.net) The famous psychiatrist and Catholic theologian Manfred Lutz rejected the suggestion in an interview with "Radio Vatican", that he had encouraged the authors of the controversial Theology Memorandum to leave the Church and become protestants. "That really didn't happen. What I -- psychologically actually -- found very interesting: I wrote an article for the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung in the beginning of February which was intentionally unpolemical in an admittedly polemical debate and finally made the impression, that really wasn't the case. The people understood even an unpolemical article in a polemical debate, polemically."
Lutz insisted during the interview that the Theological Memorandum is about power and powerlessness. "I believe that theology professors in Germany have a lot of power -- if they really are at once professors, they could actually do, what they want, and teach, what they want. They don't know anything else. On the other said there is the problem that these professors, that theology professors are not taken seriously an more. They are completely irrelevant. The great intellectual debate in Germany is taking place without theologians present. They are not being cited in the big papers and in talk shows either, the talk shows want Catholic positions and so they invite the Bishops."
For the theologians, it is certain that themes in the Church do not appeal to young people, but here we have an entire generation always bringing up the same concern. Lutz said of this: "I think this is the conservatism of the progressives in the Catholic Church". For the psychiatrists there are two conservative milieus in the Church. The one conserves that which they call "the Catholic". "And the other is always against, but always has proposals which the people well know they won't eke through. Then one can be hardened in
conservatively in a complaining ritual, and nothing changes."
For Lutz it is clear that everyone who has signed, actually knew that celibacy won't be overthrown by the debate. "And thus that we are now thoroughly angry about this, that which can't be overthrown, things aren't going to get better. Everyone knows that. One can hardly hardly exchange more arguments in the hope that the other side will take that as a real argument and not an attack. If they looked through the Memorandum once, psychologically: then the discussion would be worked out and pummeled into the Church, which isn't very fun, then to speak with such aggression." A dialog always begins on one side. Always begins with one speaking to another person, and the more meaningfully he does it, the more respectful he does it, the more the other will have the desire to answer. So begins the dialog", concluded Lutz with certainty.

Satan's Navy: UK Ship on Last Rescue Mission Before Scrapping

No, I am not making this up -- it is not exactly a cheerful thought that in the new, non-discriminatory Royal Navy a Satanist might get his finger on a certain red button. (By way of contrast, I toured one of the last British cruisers, HMS Tiger, some years ago. The sentence in polished brass letters on the ceremonial rum-cask: FEAR GOD; HONOUR THE QUEEN, stuck in my mind.) The phrase "What would Nelson have said?" has been used in so many headlines to stories about Naval cuts and other scandals that it has become a cliché, but in this particular case it seems a reasonable question.

Renew America Slams Pizza King, Cardinal Bevilaqua and the Exorcist
RENEW AMERICA Is taking on the old guard of the Pizza King and his court Inquisitor, Father Eutener. Remember when Father took on old neo-Conservative Hannity on Fox News to general applause? Well, anyone can play that note once or twice and get a reputation for orthodoxy, conservatism and even holiness. Unfortunately, the Renew America commentator attacks Father Eutener as not "orthodox". We're sorry to hear that, we're a little incredulous, but the commentator is spot on about the Pizza King and his Old Liberal Bishop, the unctuous and highly educated Cardinal Bevilaqua.
We'd commented earlier last month about Pizza King's retirement from Ave Maria. I guess he's starting to take a bite out of donations to Swamp Thing University which just got accreditated this year.
We're not excited about the old party line. He was hiding child abusers, he was hiding his homosexual collaborators, no doubt. Philadelphia has a strong liberal presence, that's nothing new.
Lord, O' Lord, how long must we suffer under the rule of Americanist Prelates? Here's what Howlingly Abusrd has to say from AQ. It is hard to believe he could have been unaware, and the author of the article did say people would come around and say "he's not all that bad". It's becoming increasingly difficult to defend churchmen. When you don't demonstrate that you really believe what you profess to advocate, it gets even harder, and then get children involved who are preyed upon by your homosexual friends, well.:
The dementia of the cardinal, not recognizing people, might explain
not spotting deviants and flamers at his own seminary.
And enabling a control freak with bad taste in architecture.
Part of the problem is money though, enabling someone who is obviously a kook, who no serious Catholic scholar in his or her right mind
would have submitted to, were it not for the corrupting influence of money and the false promises behind it.
It's not like it's just one demented Cardinal who doesn't recognize his attorney or mother.
You have a whole subculture of dementia and corruption with seminary professors, theologians and bioethicists making up excuses
for eugenic Jackson Labs and talking about ecumenical "dialogue" with secular humanist science dorks and nerds,
as if this will be a new Spring Time while pedophiles and deviants pose as priests in the archdiocese
and when the Cardinal actually served on a panel for the USCCB on
the "protection" of children and young people.
You can't walk through a modernist seminary and then say you were totally surprised to discover there were fruitcakes
and perverts pretending to be priests in your diocese.
Unless you're blind or suffering from dementia.
Or unless you're a convert unfamiliar with the subculture of deviants in that diocese.
The Cardinal may have a valid excuse. Alzheimer's, dementia, or whatever. That doesn't excuse the other enablers.
You simply CANNOT allow someone, even a deranged control freak,
to BUY a Catholic university. That's not how Catholic higher education
is supposed to work.
There's NO chapter on that in Newman's Idea of a University or in
Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
It was virtually unheard of until this recent era in Americanist modernism.
And despite the horrible example of certain other modernist Catholic institutions,
that idea should have been resisted and opposed by those calling themselves orthodox and conservative Catholics.
But maybe there should be an encyclical or motu proprio on what should happen when a kook or a deranged control freak seizes control of a Catholic university.
And on the procedures for how to remove such people from involvement with Catholic education.

Converting Mussulmen is Easy
![]() |
Blessed Charles de Foucaud |
(kreuz.net) It seems that the interaction with the Mussulmen consists in first civilizing them, then to instrict them and to finally make them human beings like us. When that's done, then their conversion will be done practically by themselves.
Because Islam can't withstand instruction.
The work here in Algeria -- as with all Mussulmen -- to be performed, consists in the work of moral uplifting:
- to bring them by all means to moral and intellectual heights.
- to grow close to them and maintain contact with them
- to bind with them in friendship
- to remove their antipathy towards us through daily and friendly interaction in conversation and change their view through the example of our lives.
- for an actual appreciation in instruction
- to instruct these souls completely in the whole of their lives and bring them up with help in school and college, that which is learned in school and college.
- teach them by way of daily and close contact, what is learned in the family.
- to become their family.
When this result is reached, then their disposition will be massively altered and their morals improved.
The commission of the Gospel will be easily procured.

If you're short on insight and Catholic belief, you can always make up for it by praising films that entered the limelight: Brokeback, Simpsons, or one of JP Two's favorites, Shakespeare in Love.
Here's a list of articles and sites featuring films with noble and monarchical characters that promote leftist agendas.

Swiss Bishop Fires Seminary Rector over Disagreement on Old Mass. Swiss Bishop Goes to Congregation of Bishops.
Will the Bishop Himself Resign?
The explosion of the Chur resignation has reached the Congregation of Bishops. There one learns: The slightest problems make Bishops who can't stop the decline.
(kreuz.net) Yesterday morning Bishop Vitus Huonder (68) of Chur directed comments to his fellow bishops, priests, deacons and pastoral assistants in an e-mail.
The letter stands in connection with the most recent resignation of the Rector of the Chur Seminary and General Vicar for the Canton of Graubünden.
"I sense there is great sense of dismay regarding the events of the last days in the entire Diocese" -- explained the Bishop: "I agree with that at this point too".
There have been different levels of "injury" that have taken place in the last months which had at once resulted in dismissal.
Msgr Huonder maintains that the Diocesan leadership has not succeeded in giving a "picture of unity" in this situation.
The Bishop did not mince words: "In the current hour I ask myself, what is to be done."
He has already contacted the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Francesco Canalini (74) and asked for advice.
He has even received an appointment in Rome:
"I will then have the opportunity to come to together with the Prefect of the Bishops Congregation in order to discuss the situation."
Msgr Huonder has pointed out that this is "not for the expediency" of the Chur "Old Liberal" priest council or the not more precisely "Council of Lay Female Theologettes, Lay Theologians and Deacons" to use this as an opportunity to engage in a palaver.
He wants to solicit the Roman Council in this case:
"I wanted to consult antecedently with the Congregation for Clergy about what I have undertaken in the given circumstances and will make known then about any further actions."
In conclusion he cited a word from Pope John Paul II († 2005)from his book, "Memory and Identity":
"What does forgiveness mean, if it does not call on the good which is greater than any evil."
Msgr Huonder invites everyone, "to see the good that is always and manifold and to appreciate the
the interconnectedness."

Sex-abuse Hoax Hits Sweden
To put this into perspective, the Catholic Church in Sweden has, according to Nation Master, a total of 145 as of 2004. Back then, there were about 140,000 Catholics in Sweden. There are 200,000 today. Imagine a corresponding increase in the number of priests and that number of three perpetrators in thirty years gets increasingly more insignificant.
Three priests, even in liberal Sweden with its age of consent at 15 and its decadent and morally permissive climate, over a period of thirty years means this is a very rare occurrence of sexual abuse among clergy.
It's undoubtedly much higher in the Swedish educational system and among mental "health" professionals.
The following headline is further proof of the malice these people bear for Catholicism. Note that despite the fact that they could only conjure up three perpetrators, one who isn't a alive to defend himself, and another who's no longer a priest, they include ALL priests in the category of "paedophiles". Never mind that pedophilia is even rarer than pederasty. Pedophilia involves sex with children who haven't reached puberty, and pederasty, which involves the majority of these cases, with those who have reached sexual maturity and are pubescent. And these same people will never discuss the issue of homosexuality, because if this scandal shines a light on anything, it should shine a light on the plague of homosexuality itself and liberalism, two things which priestly perpetrators suffer from more than anything else.
But once again, the media isn't interested in making those distinctions, it's only interested in inciting hatred for the Catholic Church.
Priests in Sweden join the ranks of "paedophiles"
The Catholic Church of Sweden confirms three suspected priests sexually abused children over the span of 30 years. [Wow, is that a lot?]
It is reported that the paedophile priests, one of whom is dead, sexually abused a collective of five children between 1940 and 1970, thus falling under that statute of limitation.
Stockholm Bishop Anders Arborelius said Saturday there could "be no redemption" for the three.
One priest molested two boys, another abused a girl for four years before she complained.
The third priest molested two girls, who were sisters, while in a relationship with their mother.

Theological Memorandum: Kasper - "Students" Contradict Cardinal Kasper
Theologian Hans Kessler, Eberhard Schockenhoff and Peter Walter insist: Cardinal Kasper's "Gotteskrise" serves "not only in society, rather also in the center of the Church itself".
Berlin (kath.net/KAP) In the debate surrounding the provacative Theology paper three students of the Curial Cardinal Walter Kasper have offered sharp criticisms of their former mentor. The Casper generated "Gotteskrise" serves "not only in society but also in the center of the Church itself", it was explained by theologians Hans Kessler, Eberhard Schockendoff and Peter Walter, who published a common statement for the "Frankfurter Rundschau" on Friday.
In the Catholic Church there is a "large brewing problem, which is not solved by non-engagement and progressive silence", so say the three Theologians. It may be hardly challenged "that the Church is in no way defined by a culture of freedom, like other social systems at least present themselves in the ideal". From "trust in the freedom of the individual" t is only apparent so long , "as it doesn't pull out all the stops".
Kessler is an emeritus Professor for systematic Theology at the Goethe-University Frankfurt: Schockenhoff [Moraltheologie] and Walter [Dogmatic] are professors at the University of Freiburg.
Kasper was "disappointed" by the Memorandum.
Kasper had turned against the "Mememorandum" of Catholic theologians in the middle of February, in which a list of reforms were proposed. The Curial Cardinal had explained that the call for another inner-ecclesiastical legal culture is surely right, the past church circle is however in consequence of the divine circle does not arise in the first line of Church law. The various questions are "the conviction of the Faith in the world of today": in place of "superficial adjusting parameters of celibacy", requires a "radical renewal" of this belief.
In total Kasper had explained two weeks ago that he was "overly disappointed" in the Memorandum of the Theologians. He missed in that a substantial contribation of theologians where he'd "expected more". No sensible person seriously contests that it "makes an acerbic break necessary with the Catholic Church".

Two German Attorneys Charge Benedict With Crimes Against Humanity in World Court
TWO GERMAN lawyers have initiated charges against Pope Benedict XVI at the International Criminal Court, alleging crimes against humanity.
Christian Sailer and Gert-Joachim Hetzel, based at Marktheidenfeld in the Pope’s home state of Bavaria, last week submitted a 16,500-word document to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court at the Hague, Dr Luis Moreno Ocampo.
Their charges concern “three worldwide crimes which until now have not been denounced . . . (as) the traditional reverence toward ‘ecclesiastical authority’ has clouded the sense of right and wrong”.

Cairo: Body of a Priest Found with 22 Knife Wounds
Dusseldorf-Cairo (kath.net/KAP) Further attacks on Coptic Christians in Egypt: The Coptic Orthodox Bishop for Germany, Anba Damian, complained this Thursday to the 'Westphalian Hoxter' of attacks by soldiers against the Anba--Bishoy-Cloister in Wadi El Natrun. There this Wednesday a monk was shot and another was abducted. Some collaborators with the Monastery have been severely wounded, said the Bishop.
Still more, this Tuesday the body of a Coptic Priest was found with 22 knife wounds.
The "Society for Threatened People" also participated this Thursday, saying that more than a thousand Copts had demonstrated against new attacks against Monasteries. The participants protested against the destruction of the protective fences around the Monastery by the Army, at which more Copts were severely injured.
The protests were directed otherwise against the murder of David Boutros. The body of the priest was found on Tuesday in this home in the village of Schatb near the city of Asyut.
Boutros was, according to reports in the interim, already murdered at some time this weekend with 22 knife wounds in the neck, back and stomach.
Damian accused the Egyptian Army of not protecting the Monastery from plundering and even hindering the efforts of the Monks in defending themselves. "The unarmed Monks and workers of my home Monastery Anba-Bishoy in Wadi El Natrun were fired upon with much hate and still more anger," declared Damian.
According to the testimony of the Bishop the Army stopped the Monks from building a defensive wall around the Monastery, as the security forces withdrew and while a thousand prisoners were released from the jails in Wadi El Natrun. On Wednesday the Army returned with four bulldozers and destroyed the wall again. Just as this was happening, the soldiers fired on the Monastery with machine pistols.

Cardinal Brings Iraqi Catholic Family into Archepiscopal Palace
The family belonged to some 31 Iraqi Christians who were taken in by the Austrian government.
Vienna (kath.net/PEW) "A warm welcome in this house, a warm welcome to our Land, Austria": Cardinal Christoph Schönborn greeted an Iraqi refugee family to the Archbishop's Palace.
The family belongs to some 31 Iraqi Christians, who have been taken in by the Austrian government. They have received a positive asylum determination and have received recognized refugee status.
The Chaldean-Catholic family from Kirkuk, which will reside in the Archepiscopal Palace had been acutely threatened in Iraq, explained the Viennese Archbishop in "Kathpress". He condemned in any avent the attack against the Church in Baghdad a few months ago in which more than 60 Mass goers lost their lives. It was therefore just and necessary that the government's decision was made to take in the Iraqi refugees.
Schönborn said: "For years the government has essayed to be active in this direction. Till then I have kept my ears to the ground and listened intentively. Now things have finally come to pass and for that I'm very thankful."
The Church has always insisted upon assisting the refugees with their plight. The Cardinal stressed that the families were encouraged in this to live in Austria and even learn German, so that they at least soon land on their own feet.

+Hubbard Gushes over Pro-Homosexual Cuomo: Vatican admonishes Cuomo over communion | WIVB.com
Albany's +Hubbard is one of the worst Bishops in the Church, possibly even more evil than Bishop Cawcutt. +Hubbard is a hard core, homosexual enabling, negligent, liberation theology advocating promoter of collectivism and, now as always, public wickedness:
[WIVB] The Vatican was questioned after the governor recently received communion at a mass in Albany. Bishop Howard Hubbard never challenged him to reform. He issued a statement, saying it's unfair and imprudent "to make a pastoral judgment about a particular situation without knowing all the facts." However, local Catholics see both sides.
Earl Newman said, "I think Catholics around the world listen to the pope. He carries a lot of weight. And if the governor is living in sin, he should be condemned."+Hubbard goes on to attack those finding fault with Cuomo's public scandal mongering, asserting that his detractors have dirty minds, but perhaps the biggest reason +Hubbard defends Cuomo is that he has been a supporter of the legitimization of sodomy.

Egyptian Armed Forces Demolish Fences Around Coptic Monasteries
"Three monasteries have been attacked by outlaws and have asked for protection from the armed forces, but were told to defend themselves." said activist Mark Ebeid. "When the terrified monks built fences to protect themselves, armed forces appeared only then with bulldozers to demolish the fences. It is worth noting that these monasteries are among the most ancient in Egypt, with valuable Coptic icons and manuscripts among others, which are of tremendous value to collectors."

Peru: The Rosary as an Answer to Homo-Protest
Lima (kath.net) Hundreds of Peruvian Catholics gatheredd last Saturday in front of the entrance of the Cathedral in the Capital, Lima: They prayed the Rosary together as an answer to a "Kiss-in against homophobia", which was hald by a small homosexual group only a few meters from the church. This was according to CNA.
This was the second "Kiss-in" of the group. At the first occasion, a few weeks before, they were removed from the entrance of the Cathedral by the police. This time the Group had permission from the Mayor of Lima, Susana Villaran, who has already made her support for expressions of homosexuality known on a number of occasions. Although this second "Kiss-in" was very heavily reported by the media, only eight persons took part in it, three couples of males and one female pairing.
As an answer to the planned and broadcast homosexual event there were some 200 Catholics in front of the Cathedral who formed a kind of human chain aroud the church. They peacefully prayed the rosary and sang religious songs.
Daniel Torres Cox, who had come to the prayer, told ACI Prensa: "We are simply here to defend our faith in some way." He described the homosexual protest "an attack on that which we believe and that is the reason why we're here in order to protect it."
Homosexuals in Peru "provoke us, because the Catholic Church represents everything that they want to destroy," said Nancy Freundt of Zentrum for Natural Family Planning. "The Catholic Church is not made of adobe bricks. The Church is made of all Catholics who understand and believe their faith."
A more recent poll was published indicating that 75 percent of Peruvians are against "homosexual marriage". The Peruvian Congress even declared, that which is also in the Constitution of the Land, that marriage is a bond between man and woman.

Woman Renounces "Womenpriest" Returns to Church
I wish to renounce the alleged ordination and publicly state that I did not act as a deacon as a part of this group except on two occasions, when I read the gospel once at mass and distributed communion once at this same mass. I withdrew from the program within two weeks of the ceremony because I realized that I had made a mistake in studying for the priesthood. I confess to the truth of Pope John Paul II's Apostolic Letter Ordinatio Sacerdotalis. I confess the authority of the Holy Father on these issues of ordination and recognize that Christ founded the ordination only for men.

Judge Assigns Penance in Church as Punishment
In Italy two youth who were brought to trial for robbery must also "do penance" in the Church...
Mestre (kath.net) In the Italian city of Mestre two convicted minors have received an unusual punishment, as the Austrian daily 'Kurier' reported: A 15 year old and a 16 year old, members of a youth gang, were charged with robbery and extortion.
The judge decided for the following "judgment": The boys must go to Mass every Sunday to Mass. They must get volunteer jobs, earn good grades in school and apologize to their victims.

Aha -- Life in the Pius Mass -- Germany
(kreuz.net) On 7 January 36 year old man visited Holy Mass with the Society in the village of Kleinwallstadt in Unterfranken.
He did it -- his piece on 4. February for the regional paper 'Main-Echo' -- "out of curiosity".
It appeared to him that the Mass was well attended for a week day.
He noticed, "that I wasn't -- as in other religious services -- the youngest one there -- but at least somewhere in the middle."
He estimated the median age of those present at about thirty or forty years old.
Next to the reporter there were some boys about fifteen years old.
They showed themselves "enthused" by the old Mass -- the reporter explained:
"The devotion was so heavy and deep, that it was almost alien".
The priest spoke during the Holy Mass, who was silently reading, not a single loud word.
For that reason, the reporter asked the question, why the youth would visit such a weekday Mass, while such age groups are almost never represented in Novus Ordo religious services.
As an answer he rhymed it out that those Pius people are drawn by the living example of the celebrating Priest?
The corresondent was also astonished that the Pius-priest prayed in every Mass for the Bishop and the Pope -- "which can not be said of many diocesan priests."
Which brought him to the point: "Critics of the Society of St. Pius X insist that they do not subject themselves to the Pope."
At the same time he called the words of Germany's Jesuit Provincial.
This one had promoted "open disobedience" against the Pope and German Bishops, "not to wait for a decision from Rome", rather to "ordain trustworthy laymen to the priesthood".

Local Minneapolis Progressivist Flips Out About Cancelling of Gay Event
![]() |
Homosexual Enabler Par Excellence |
Here’s one example of misleading and inflammatory language used by PC: The parish priest, Leo Tibesar, is described as a “well known and highly respected same sex marriage and gay rights activist.” Can you imagine members of a Catholic parish going public with such a statement – even if it was true? It’s just asking for trouble (and PC knows it).
This isn't the first time Tibesar has been in trouble or hosted unCatholic activities at his gathering space, even being on the board of Dignity.
Archbishop Nienstedt's predecessor, Archbishop Flynn, was understandably blasé about Tibesar's activism, and Father Z gave him a pass too. C'mon, how many times do you have to have evidence that someone clearly doesn't represent Catholic teaching before you call him into the office and send him packing.
Surely, Father Tibesar would be more comfortable at Collegeville? No, wait, they still claim to be Catholic? Oh, well, putting them together might have advantages.
In any event, now even the Wild Reed is trying to defend the innocence of the homosexual enabler, Father Leo Tibesar.
The Archdiocese released the following statement in the wake of one of the last controversies in December 2007 with Father Z's bolding:
Various bloggers and websites have reported that Father Leo Tibesar, of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish in Minneapolis announced his intention to bless same sex marriages. Those reports are not true. Father Tibesar has never blessed a same sex marriage nor does he intend to do so, which would be a violation of his priestly vows and state. He made this very clear in a public clarification issued by Saint Frances Cabrini’s parish council and following a meeting with Archbishop Harry J. Flynn.Father Z went on to say about Tibesar:
During his meeting with Archbishop Flynn and Auxiliary Bishop Richard Pates, Father Tibesar also agreed to remove any language from the St. Frances Cabrini parish website that is in opposition to Roman Catholic Church doctrine and to refrain from statements in any form that are contrary to Church teaching. He confirmed these commitments to Archbishop Flynn in a letter following their meeting. Communications Office, Archdiocese of StP&M
I am posting about this because I am pleased with content of the statement. It is a very good thing that people know that a Catholic priest, in the midst of controversy, has never done what he was accused of doing. He didn’t in fact do something so scandalously irresponsible as bless a same-sex "marriage". [Heaven forfend, you OMIT to say that he was willing to do one and dissents from Church teaching on the issue in the first place] That should make people happy and relieved. Also, steps are being taken to remove improper language from the website. Moreover, Archbishop Flynn has taken the matter in hand. All these are good things.
Actually, Tibesar broadcast his willingness to perform those evil ceremonies on his website. Tada... Conveniently, Father Z left that part out.
Maybe Father Z thinks he can get back in the good graces of the Archdiocese by playing damage control for them when they get caught being less than honest?
What's clear to us in this case is that there are a lot of people out there who care about their Catholic Faith, and those people are not to be confused, necessarily, with the Clergy, who seems incapable of pleasing anyone, not the CCPSM people, nor the other alphabet soup Soviet-Style Acronym groups that don't like what the Church teaches.
Other efforts stopped in the past by CCCR, and here.
H/t to Stella too, with appraisal of Archbishop Nienstedt, here.
On the World Scene
Virtually every single Diocese in the developed world has a parish like Cabrini, here, Australia's "acceptance Mass" here, and on +Schoenborn's watch in Vienna.
