Looks Bad for Peddler of Maudlin Fake Catholic Ditties GIA as Sex Abuse Claims Mount Against Degenerate Folk Singer

Edit: make Catholic music more relevant they said! The “investigation” by GIA should read damage control. Why is everyone shocked that a lisping, ugly, third tier folk singer is a sexual predator, especially in a Conciliar free-to-be you and me context?

Garrison Keillor anyone?

These people are scum, and so is GIA.

[Fishwrap] As allegations of serial sexual misconduct against Catholic composer David Haas continue to mount, a leading supplier of sacred music has vowed an investigation into how one of the church's best selling musicians' record of predatory behavior avoided scrutiny and accountability.

GIA Publications, which distributed the Gatherhymnals that included some of Haas' best known works, told NCR in a statement that "a third-party assessment will create a strong survivor-centered structure to report incidents of alleged harassment or abuse."

"In addition to the assessment, we are in the process of establishing a Code of Conduct for all composers and authors we publish," said Kate Williams, senior managing editor of GIA Publications. "These changes will facilitate the community's ability to take prompt action in response to reports of behavioral misconduct."

Tom “P3do” Hanks Becomes Greek Citizen

Edit: makes sense if there's no extradition treaty. Why not France? Roman Polanski hid out there for years and is still hiding there today after drugging and raping a 13 year old girl.

Greece has an extradition treaty, but maybe there is another angle!

(CNN)Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have a special reason to celebrate this week: they're both officially Greek citizens.

In a picture posted on social media by the country's prime minister, the two proudly hold up their brand new passports.

The couple and their children became honorary Greek citizens last year -- after officials highlighted Hanks' role in helping raise awareness about the 2018 fires that devastated areas near Athens and claimed the lives of more than 100 people.

New Fake Group Wants to Co-opt American Youth — Bill Kristol Creations INC

And they’re wearing masks.

Edit: as Nick Fuentes said early on in his podcast, quoting Sloppy Steve Bannon, these people look like they’re made in a petri dish. They claim to represent values important to conservative Gen Zers, like a concern about the populism of a hijacked Republican Party, including diverse voices and support for Black Lives Matter.

Sounds like they’re being spoon fed by Alan Keyes’ buddy, Bill Kristol and his Lincoln Project.

See the discussion about this group starting at 59:00.

[Boston Herald] The organizers of a young Republican group who oppose President Trump say they want to build the GOP of the future by staying away from “unproductive discourse” and providing a better alternative to the left.

Called Gen Z GOP, the nationally focused group with Massachusetts roots officially launched over the weekend with a social media video that lays out a vision for a new Republican Party that attracts the newest generation of voters.

The group “vehemently opposes” a lot of what the left stands for today, said Samuel Garber, a freshman at Bates College.

10 Arabs Arrested for Drugging and Raping Women in Nightclubs — Serious Talks About Deportation

[EU Times]  German regional court on Thursday handed jail sentences of up to five and a half years to members of a group of men accused of jointly raping an 18-year-old woman in the southern city of Freiburg in October 2018.

The longest jail sentence was given by the Freiburg court to the main perpetrator of the crime, while seven men received prison sentences of between three and four years.

Two accused received suspended jail sentences of four and six months, respectively, for their failure to render assistance to the victim. One man was found not guilty of involvement in the rape.

Vatican Functionary Accused of Being Aberrosexual

[Gloria.tv] Last week, Eichstätt Bishop Gregor Hanke, Germany, sent a monk, a former prosecutor, to Rome to inquire about Eichstätt Monsignor Christoph Kühn, 57.

While he was working in the Vatican, Kühn is accused of having “homosexually assaulted” and bullied adult collaborators, who, by the way, could easily have defended themselves.

The information was published by the German fake-news Bild.de which was fed by Alexander Stevens, the lawyer of one of the anonymous “victims”. It’s a common practice of lawyers to use the media in order to push for their side of the story.

Stevens’ client, a priest, makes the unlikely claim that the assaults caused in him depression and psychological problems and made his mother attempt suicide.

Kühn worked in nunciatures in Simbabwe and Zambia before becoming the head of the German-speaking section in the Secretary of State (2001-2008).

From there he was - for obvious reasons - demoted to collaborator of the nunciature in Vienna, Austria (2008-2012), before being further demoted and made a canon of the cathedral chapter in Eichstätt, his home diocese. In May 2019 he was granted a leave from all his functions.

According to Bild.de, Archbishop Viganò who has been the personnel officer in the Secretary of State, presented a four-page-testimony to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith regarding the case.

Kühn’s homosexual adventures were never a mystery and well known far beyond the Vatican. However, in today’s Church, priests are punished for standing up for the Faith and liturgy, not for promoting immorality and heresy.

Minnesota Jesuit Retreat Director Accused of Sexual abuse

Edit: he's a big Liberation Theology promoter.

Fr. Patrick McCorkell, SJ has been suspended from public ministry pending the outcome of an investigation by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

In May of this year, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis received a report from an adult woman that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with with a priest that was psychologically and emotionally abusive.  The Archdiocese reported the incident to local law enforcement and an official investigation is now underway.  Below is a letter issued by Provincial of the Midwest Jesuits explaining the situation.

Voris Disparages Opus Dei — New Perspective?

Edit: Stop Voris found this youtube video interview between Patrick Coffin and Michael Voris.  Coffin asks Voris what he thinks of Opus and Voris claims he has no connection with them. He even disparages Opus and admits he did receive a donation from an Opus member, but no big whoop.  Voris. Sure, someone gives a substantial donation and they have no influence,
do they?

I got this from Randy Engel not long after she became aware of the video:

Hi Everyone – I was not acquainted with Mr. Coffin or his show prior to seeing this video so I had no biases either way.

Although Coffin said he wasn’t associated with Opus, this isn’t exactly true. First, Coffin worked with Catholic Answers which has strong Opus connections. He said he was not a member in any form, but attended OD Hours of Recollection. In any case, Coffin is openly pro-Opus.
I mention this because I think when Coffin brought up Opus, he was expecting to have Michael also comment favorably which is, happily,  not the case.

Happy viewing, Randy

PS Also of interest are the comments in favor of Bishop Sheen late in the video. Sheen denied Genesis and believed that Teilhard de Chardin should be up for sainthood. Good grief!

Voris comments on Opus begin at 15:40.

German Tax-Church Receives Record Income As Catholics Defect

.- The Church in Germany received more money in church tax than ever before in 2019 despite losing a record number of members.
According to official figures released Monday, the German Church received 6.76 billion euros ($7.75 billion) in 2019.
This represents a increase of more than 100 million euros ($115 million)  compared to 2018, when the Church gained 6.64 billion euros from the tax. The rise is believed to be due to the growth of Germany’s economy in 2019.

Who gets away with this?

What the ___ happened to Arturo Vasquez?

He used to be a reliable traditionalist Catholic, before it was cool to be one.  The way he would go after Mark Shea, Scott Hahn, and Fr. Dwight Longenecker was quite admirable and very clever.

What is he doing now?

Arturo's blog is here
Is this a classic case of Perenialism of which even Dr. John Rao was accused?   Those of us who have been on traditionalist mailing lists for a while probably recall Larry's Books.  Fifteen to twenty years ago, he was selling a strange mix of books on topics pertaining to Naziism, German Militaria, Hinduism, and Traditional Catholicism.

Bayside and Mormonism. Is there a connection?

One of the messages of Bayside, and later "Father" Andrew Wingate, is that, in his darkest hour, George Washington was shown a film, if you will, of the history of the republic that he would be instrumental in founding. Turns out, many Mormons hold for the same fantasy with a few distinctions. In the version peddled by Veronica Lüken and Fr. Wingate, it is the Blessed Mother who brings this vision to George Washington.  For the Mormons, it's even stranger...

Is 2020 the Traditional Catholic Moment?

If so, we'll have Francis to thank for clarifying things by shutting down the comfortable middle ground.

General Flynn Calls to Battle and Prayer

General Michael T. Flynn, on two public appearances: he was the whipping boy of a staged criminalization. Now he has been rehabilitated and is directly addressing the Americans with an appeal to fight and prayer.

US General Michael T. Flynn became a victim of Obamagate. What is meant is the scandal that came to light through recently released secret documents. In his most recent requests to speak, the general addressed the Americans directly.

From the documents that have now been released, it appears that the general, who was appointed National Security Advisor at the beginning of President Donald Trump's term in office but had to resign after only three weeks, was the victim of a targeted intrigue by the then FBI director James Comey. Comey, whom Trump's predecessor had appointed, did not act on his own initiative, but at the request of ex-President Barack Obama, under the co-operation of his Vice President and now Democratic Party presidential candidate, Joe Biden, and other Democrats.

General Flynn was attacked because they couldn't hit Trump directly, but at least wanted to weaken him. The attack also affected the general personally and his foreign policy and geopolitical convictions. Flynn had been accused of those ominous contacts with Russia that Trump opponents have alleged but have not proven over the past four years as charges against the incumbent US President. At the beginning of the year, they literally vanished into thin air.

The documents now available reveal that the "Russia Connection" was nothing more than a dirty invention, as attentive observers had suspected from the start.

Flynn is one of the most famous and charismatic generals in the US Army. His reputation was so great that he managed to influence the foreign policy of the US presidents he served by interfering with plans by the Clinton and Obama governments.

In 2014, when he publicly addressed the background to the rise of the Islamic State (IS) jihad militia, it cost him his position as DIA director (Defense Intelligence Agency). Flynn had said in an Al Jazeera interview that he had informed Obama about the rise of Syrian terrorism, but "the government has decided to ignore our information deliberately, by continuing to do what it does," namely to promote the IS.

The general said even more: in 2016, he was one of the first and highest-ranking personalities to speak of the existence of a corrupt deep state. On Twitter he described the Pizza gate scandal as true. Hillary Clinton, the wife of former US President Bill Clinton and then Democratic Party presidential candidate, and some of her campaign strategists, the general said, were involved in pedophile and money laundering rings. Flynn's reputation also let those take notice that Pizza Gate had been previously dismissed as an election year "conspiracy theory".

A few months later, Donald Trump won the presidential election to the horror of Hillary Clinton, the U.S. establishment, and the globalists. Trump brought the general in his government team and appointed him National Security Adviser . But just a few weeks later, General Flynn was hunted down by those he had criticized.

In May 2020, all charges against him were dropped. A federal judge still did not want to let him off the hook. A well-known way to paralyze someone through the Damocles sword of trial. Now the general was finally relieved and rehabilitated.

A conversation between two FBI agents about the general had appeared in the Obamagate files. It discussed how a false charge could be constructed against the general to bring him to justice and to drive him out of office. The conversation also shows that the intrigue against the general was controlled by the FBI leadership.

Flynn has since written two articles addressing Americans directly, stating that the struggle is more important than the previous presidential election. A struggle that cannot be won unless you look at it from an eschatological perspective.

Just as Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò wrote in a letter to US President Trump, General Flynn stated in Western Journal that "there is a small, zealous group of people who are working hard to destroy our American way of life."

It is two percent who want to take possession of the rest of the population because they are indifferent. The general wrote on June 29:

"If we don't act, two percent of the people are going to control the other 98 percent."

He stressed that the majority of the American people, the "silent majority", must act. They must act consciously that this is a collision between "two opposing forces: the 'children of light' and the 'children of darkness'."

And further:

"As a Virginia police officer told me, people in their homes no longer feel safe and our police forces are so demoralized that we cannot operate as we should. In my 23 years of service I have never seen such depressed morale."

The general describes urban guerrilla warfare as an attack on democracy.

"It is necessary to support the police", but also "to challenge every politician at all levels" to do his duty. According to the general, this attack on the order and symbols of American history aims to establish socialism.

"And in the final analysis, to chase God out of our families, our schools and our courts ... even our churches, with the aim of banishing God from our daily lives."

According to General Flynn, "most mistakes in war and life result from inertia," but in the action described above where the silent majority rises can ensure that "we can prevail." It should not be forgotten, according to the General, "that even our enemies (the dark forces) have difficulties." And even if "for the majority of Americans these forces seem to be strong," said the military strategist, "only a little pressure is required on our part, that's all we have to do to defeat these forces." To do this, however, indolence must be overcome and the willingness to resist must grow. The General informed US citizens that this "little pressure", which was enough, consisted of "action" and "prayer". At an earlier article he had written:
"Although we feel that we have descended into a hellish state of existence, we must never forget that hell is not invincible."
It could be defeated by prayer, a fearful conscience, willingness to make sacrifices, and the awareness of good and evil "that we have received from God."
"If we want to survive, we have to fall back on the God-given values and ideals that form the basis of our constitutional republic."
And further:
"Prayer is the greatest weapon, and becoming aware of God is the ultimate 'thought of the day.'"
The scenario for the children of light is now terrifying, but one should not "fear the uncertainty that results from the unknown, but accept it and we fight through this feeling of fear." Optimism, which should not become exuberance, which turns into despair at the first difficulty, is necessary in war.
"We have to remember: The power of hell is strong, but limited. God is the final judge and decision maker. As long as we accept God as the elixir of life for our nation, we will be safe. "

Otherwise you would really "go to a hellish existence".

Wicked Witch Blogger Amy Wellborn Wants to Sue Eponymous Flower

Edit:  a few weeks ago, blogger Stop Voris wrote a little essay about where all this blogging started.  It was particularly interesting because it featured an article by one of the Catholic internet's first celebrity bloggers, Amy Wellborn.   Who are these individuals we invite into our homes from cyberspace to provide a cozy but not too crazy view on Catholicism?   The blog in question included an article by Thomas Herron who excoriated Amy Wellborn and revealed some scandalous details about her life.

Now the wicked witch of the St. Blog’s Parish wants to initiate a lolsuit. Amy contacted me not long after the blog came out and complained that I was being unfair and that the Herron contribution on E. Michael Jones' Culture Wars was defamatory.  It might be defamatory, but is it true? Considering her assumed position as a Catholic luminary writing for such Neocon shills as Lysis, This Crock, Catholic Snooze Network and OSV, you'd think that her role as a homewrecker and chalice chipper might be important.  Still, she didn't deny it!  I even offered her an opportunity to set the record straight, because there was no way I was going to take the blog down after being threatened with legal action, especially since she's tried unsuccessfully in the past to get Jones to remove the embarrassing article from his blog.  Anyway, so after a few days, I thought it was no big deal and then I found out she complained to Google and they struck my blog, threatening to take it down if I posted the link again.   Well, this time, I’m posting the whole article.

Since I'm very fond of Herron's work and lament the fact that it's disappearing from the internet, I wanted to include it here in full to preserve at least some fragments of his luminescence from the Visigoths who've invaded the Church.

Of course, no matter how compelling Heron's article is, it seems to have done nothing to stunt Amy Wellborn's popularity as a writer on all things Catholic.  Like a lot of questionable figures in the firmament of Catholic letters in the blogosphere, she shines as brightly as ever, her brilliance untarnished.

Thanks for your attention.

I happen to be one of those happy Catholics … in the mainstream of “moderate/progressive” theology, ecclesiology, and biblical studies, [who] is a feminist (pro-life at that), hopeful for future development in the Church, but who, despite all appearances to the contrary, is Catholic through and through…. Sometimes I feel as if groups and individuals engaged in apologetics see me as an even more urgent target than are Protestants. ” — Amy Welborn-Vining, This Rock magazine, March, 1990

“If you insist on using political labels to identify Catholics, here’s the way it works: the “liberals” aren’t interested in us because we make fun of them. The “conservatives” like us until they find out our histories, because there’s no worse epithet – not “pagan,” not “Protestant,” not even “heretic” – in a conservative Catholic’s vocabulary than “ex-priest,” a word which comes with a “p” conveniently built in so it can be virtually spit out of contemptuous lips. ”

— Amy Welborn-Dubruiel, Commonweal, January, 2003

As its devotees state, it is a parish unlike any other in America. It has no boundaries, no assigned clergy, no Masses or devotions and no parishioners. It also takes up no collections. But its fans call St. Blog’s Parish the wave of the future for the Catholic Church in America because it the first circle of Catholic writers in the world known as cyberspace. But then it wasn’t just America’s Catholics who have been caught up in admiration about the expansive power of the Internet. The demographic bulge known as the Baby Boom and their progeny have been caught up in the endless adulation over the great potential in the expansion of knowledge that an ever increasing number of web sites and blogs are said to create. However, some observers have said that the creation of celebrity on the internet and the fanning of causes such as the demonizing of countries like Iraq before the American invasion of 2003 are just the clever manipulation of traditional crowd psychology by unseen agents while appealing to the viewers pride by telling them that they are getting cutting edge information. Starting with the Baby Boomers, Americans became more concerned of how their counterparts thought on any given issue and as economic commentators Bill Bonner and Addison Wiggin state in Financial Reckoning Day: Surviving the Soft Depression of the 21st Century, “What has never been fully realized is the extent to which-unlike any previous group in the history of man-the boomers were subject to the madness of crowds on a monumental scale. The boomers adopted every idea that appealed to them and dumbed it down … broadcast it … vulgarized it … and took it up as they would their favorite pop song.”

Bishop Schneider Launches Worldwide Crusade of Eucharistic Reparation

By David Martin

Bishop Athanasius Schneider is calling on Catholics the world over to unite in a crusade of reparation for sins against Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. The call comes in the wake of increased profanation and sacrilege against the Blessed Sacrament resulting from the irreligious response to the coronavirus, and after five decades of what he sees as unprecedented abuse against the Eucharistic Lord.

The bishop cites Communion in the hand as the major abuse through which Christ today is "being continuously trampled underfoot" and calls upon the Church to return to its knees “in the attitude of a child, opening the mouth and allowing oneself to be fed by Christ Himself in the spirit of humility.”

It was the heretical Arians that first introduced Communion in the hand as a means of expressing their belief that Christ was not divine. Unfortunately, it has served to express the same in our time and has contributed mightily to undermining the Faith.

Ironclad Clericalism

Bishop Schneider deplores how in response to COVID-19 "Many dioceses around the world [have] mandated Communion in the hand, and in those places the clergy, in an often-humiliating manner, deny the faithful the possibility to receive the Lord kneeling and on the tongue, thus demonstrating a deplorable clericalism and exhibiting the behavior of rigid neo-Pelagians.”

Moreover, he laments how "in some places the adorable Eucharistic Body of Christ is distributed by the clergy and received by the faithful with household or disposable gloves. The treating of the Blessed Sacrament with gloves suitable for treating garbage is an unspeakable Eucharistic abuse.”

He assures us that Jesus “is affected and touched in His Sacred Heart [hurt] by the abuses and outrages against the Divine majesty and the immensity of His Love in the Blessed Sacrament.”

He also says:

The height of the abuses of the Holy Eucharist is seen in the admittance to Holy Communion of couples who are living in a public and objective state of adultery, violating thereby their indissoluble valid sacramental marriage bonds, as in the case of the so-called ‘divorced and remarried,’ such admittance being in some regions officially legalized by specific norms, and, in the case of the Buenos Aires region in Argentina, norms even approved by the Pope.”

According to the bishop, no true Catholic can remain silent in the face of this mounting sacrilege.

“In view of the horrible maltreatments of Our Eucharistic LordHe being continuously trampled underfoot because of Communion in the hand, during which almost always little fragments of the host fall on the floor; He being treated in a minimalistic manner, deprived of sacredness, like a cookie, or treated like garbage by the use of household gloves—no true Catholic bishop, priest or lay faithful can remain indifferent and simply stand by and watch.

“There must be initiated a world-wide crusade of reparation to and consolation of the Eucharistic Lord. As a concrete measure to offer to the Eucharistic Lord urgently needed acts of reparation and consolation, each Catholic could promise to offer monthly at least one full hour of Eucharistic adoration, either before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle or before the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the monstrance. The Holy Scripture says: ‘Where sin abounded, grace did more abound’ (Rm. 5:20) and we can add analogously: ‘Where Eucharistic abuses abounded, acts of reparation will more abound.’”

His Excellency urges Catholics to imitate the example of the children of Fatima to “console the Hidden Jesus,” i.e. the Eucharistic Lord, and is suggesting that each Catholic “promise to offer monthly at least one full hour of Eucharistic adoration, either before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle or before the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the monstrance.”
He is also recommending that the Church establish an annual “Day of Reparation for the crimes against the Most Holy Eucharist.”

“There has never been in the history of the Church a time, where the sacrament of the Eucharist has been abused and outraged to such an alarming and grievous extent as in the past five decades

                                           — Bishop Athanasius Schneider

Bishop Schneider makes it clear that the Church will never be restored to holiness until that day “when, in all the churches of the Catholic world, the faithful will receive the Eucharistic Lord, veiled under the species of the little sacred host, with true faith and a pure heart, in the biblical gesture of adoration (proskynesis), that is, kneeling, and in the attitude of a child, opening the mouth and allowing oneself to be fed by Christ Himself in the spirit of humility.”

He adds that when the Church returns to its knees with child-like simplicity, “The Church will grow in the purity of the Catholic Faith, in the missionary zeal of salvation of souls, and in the holiness of the clergy and the faithful. Indeed, the Lord will visit His Church with His graces to the extent that we venerate Him in His ineffable sacrament of love (sic nos Tu visita, sicut Te colimus).”

Bishop Schneider’s call for worldwide reparation is long overdue since the Church through modern practice—especially that of Communion in the hand—has all but lost the awareness of the supernatural presence of Christ in His sanctuary. If Catholics today no longer believe that the Eucharist is the Creator Himself in person, it is because of this diabolical practice that has cheapened their religion and nurtured this apostate mentality. Satan seeks to destroy the monarchical concept of the Church where Christ is seen as a mere man “symbolized” by the Host, and Communion in the hand has been an effective tool in hand to advance this heresy.

A Chastisement From God

Catholic experts have cited how COVID-19 is a divine chastisement for our profanation of the Church through modern practice. When chastisements are given by God, we’re supposed to learn by them. Have we learned our lesson or are the bishops continuing like Pharisees to impose sin upon God’s people?

In His prayer for His Apostles, Jesus said, “Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me may be with me.” (John 17:24) And where is Jesus but at the tabernacles of the world!

Let us then repair to these tabernacles in heartfelt reparation to Christ who today is being profaned in His Own Church. We pray that clergy and laity everywhere will answer Bishop Schneider’s call for worldwide reparation to the Holy Eucharist with the confidence that such action will draw upon us much needed mercy and light to dispel the present-day darkness.

The complete text of Bishop Schneider’s statement is found at this link.

The Second Vatican Council Was Manipulated Through Obvious Acts of Sabotage

The Second Vatican Council must be discussed, says the Vaticanist Americo Mascarucci.

(Rome) Much attention is being paid to the debate on a revision of the Second Vatican Council, which was started by Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano. It moves Catholics who take their faith seriously and live and suffer with their Church. The journalist and Vaticanist Americo Mascarucci, author of two books on the pontificate of Pope Francis, also speaks. In 2018, "The Revolution of Pope Francis was published. How the Church transforms from Don Milani to Luther"[1] and in 2019 a book on the changes in the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) "The Church in Politics. How the CEI has changed from Ruini to Pope Francis"[2] Marco Tosatti has published the statement of his colleague on the proposal of Archbishop Vigano.

After a short introduction, "I am not a theologian", but "a simple journalist who is passionate about  Vatican affairs," Mascarucci comes straight to the point.

"The historian Roberto De Mattei refuted in his book "The Second Vatican Council: A Hitherto Untold History" the thesis of the hermeneutics of continuity, which both Wojtyla and Ratzinger were so concerned with, and proved that it is impossible to separate the Council from the errors that followed it. (...) Today, De Mattei's thesis seems to be taking shape in the face of certain behaviours typical of the current pontificate, precisely where the Council becomes the cover for certain, at least questionable, positions to be reclaimed."

Pope Francis was "perhaps the best example of how the Second Vaticanum, far from renewing itself in the sign of continuity, was rather the event that put an end to the Catholic Church as the only Church of Christ in apostolic continuity, the one and only Church in which salvation lies."

According to Mascarucci, the theologian and philosopher Karl Rahner's thesis, "a great supporter of the Council as a break with tradition," according to which it is not belonging to the Church that guarantees salvation, but that the just conscience, which is oriented towards good, brings people closer to God, even if they do not believe in him (the theory of the 'anonymous Christian'), "seems to be the guiding star today, on which the current Pope orients himself."

"It is no coincidence that he is applauded and praised more by atheists than by practicing Catholics, and that he has never made a secret of having a greater affinity for certain infidels like Eugenio Scalfari than with the so-called traditionalist Catholics."

Thus, if it is not possible to separate the errors from the Council, "then it is not possible to believe that the schism of Isolotto, which developed in "Catho-Communist Florence," which gathered around the ideas of Giorgio La Pira, was the result of a false interpretation of the Counciliar spirit".

This entreaty requires a little excursion.

The schism of Isolotto

The schism of isolotto from 1968 refers to the one between the pastor of the Florentine district of Isolotto, Don Enzo Mazzi, and his archbishop. Don Mazzi, a "worker priest" who seemed to have more in common with Communists and Socialists than with the Christian Democrats, followed his own course. He justified this with the aim of "overcoming the dividing lines between believers and unbelievers, between good and bad, between priests and laymen, between the sacramental and the profane, between the parties." He made changes to the liturgy by introducing the vernacular and celebrating Mass facing the people. He was supported by Giorgio La Pira, then the mayor of Florence on the left.

Don Mazzi demonstrated against the Americans in Vietnam, showed solidarity with blacks in the United States, and supported a group of students from the Catholic University of Milan, which occupied Parma cathedral in September 1968 as part of the student protests. While Pope Paul VI condemned the action, Don Mazzi showed solidarity with the students. When Don Mazzi held a "basic democratic" meeting of his parish, even though his archbishop had forbidden it, he deposed him as a pastor.

Don Mazzi did not, however, depart, but founded a "base community" in the District of Isolotto as a substitute for the deprived parish, which became the model of the base communities in Europe. That was the schism. In 1974 he was suspended a divinis and was no longer allowed to exercise his priesthood. Shortly thereafter, he was transferred back to the layman. Although the basic community was not recognized by the Church, it was visited by like-minded priests from all over the world who celebrated there.

Mazzi himself became a permanent columnist for the left-leaning daily La Repubblica by Eugenio Scalfari and the Communist daily Il Manifesto. His last book, "The Value of Heresy"[3], was published there in 2010. Mazzi died in 2011 at the age of 84. According to his final request, his body was burned.

So we return to Mascarucci's remarks.

Therefore, the commitment of many Catholics to the side of the Communist Party or the support of divorce in the referendum by well-known priests and theologians was not the result of a "false interpretation" of the Council. Nor was it  due to a "misinterpretation" that Giacomo Cardinal Lercaro, Archbishop of Bologna from 1952 to 1968 and one of the four Council moderators, "in the middle of the Cold War, delivered his famous sermon against the Vietnam War and American imperialism, while the Communists drowned the uprisings in the countries of Eastern Europe in blood and tortured priests and religious."

The Second Vaticanum was manipulated by outright sabotage

Archbishop Vigano had rightly pointed it out:

"The Second Vatican Council was in fact manipulated by veritable acts of sabotage, which, inside and outside, saw proper centers of conspiracy at work. Among these, an organization called Opus Angeli deserves attention, whose main initiators were the ultra-progressive Belgian Cardinal Léon-Joseph Suenens and the Brazilian Bishop Helder Camara, one of the most important representatives of the liberation theologyoften praised by Francis."

They tried "with the support of powerful media they attempted to influence the work of the Council and, above all, its final result.

"Although they failed, that the Council should approve their civil rights agenda, the abolition of priestly celibacy, the opening up to the priesthood of women and the change in sexual morality by allowing the laity to use artificial contraceptives for birth control by colusion with the state, they were very adept at clouding the clear water, confusing the contents and contaminating the texts, so that a free and ambiguous interpretation of the council documents and the doctrine of faith was opened to a modernist key, which became the basis for the errors following the Council.'
Pope John Paul II recognized many of the wrong developments and made an active, sometimes courageous, effort to put the Council on the right path in its perception and effect. He was tirelessly supported by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, his Prefect of Doctrine and the Faith.

"But he too was misled on some issues that abounded, perhaps because he was the first foreign pope in the midst of a Vatican curia still wholly controlled by Italians, the heirs of the Montini era, who themselves were often associated with the Council period and its errors."
In other words, Mascarucci says, the hard line taken against Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, the great critic of the Council, and the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X, which he founded, cannot be explained. A line vigorously defended by Cardinal Secretary of State Agostino Casaroli (1914–1998) and his spiritual son Achille Cardinal Silvestrini (1923–2019), even after the death of Paul VI, as well as both influential defenders of the Eastern Policy and its rapprochement of the Church with the Soviet Union and the Communist Eastern Bloc.
"Archbishop Lefebvre was excommunicated in 1988, as demanded by the most left-wing sectors of the Roman Curia, although Cardinal Ratzinger had spoken out against it."
However, according to the above-mentioned sectors, the French archbishop had to be punished precisely because "he denounced with the greatest determination the lack of continuity of the Second Vatican Council".

John Paul II could not completely contain the "Spirit of Assisi" and other excesses, "as even his friend and great admirer Vittorio Messori repeatedly lamented."

"Messori noted the unacceptable episode of the World Day of Peace, which took place on 27 May. On October 1, 1986, in Assisi, in the presence of representatives of all world religions, pagan rites took place in the Basilica of St. Francis, chickens were slaughtered on the altar of the Basilica of St. Clare, esoteric dances and other, denounced excesses that had themselves escaped the attention of Cardinal Ratzinger, who had intervened vigorously in the days before to prevent other questionable and sacrilegious initiatives."

The German influence on the Church

Mascarucci concludes from the development:
"All this has laid the foundation for this ecumenism, which, far from promoting a relationship of mutual respect between the different faiths in the spirit of dialogue, has led to the legitimisation of the idea of a universal church, the one and the same God for all, for a person who is almost entirely free to choose the Church that best suits his preferences, because it is sufficient to believe in the true God in order to find salvation independently of baptism.
An idea that, in the years since the end of the Ratzinger era, which was marked by Benedict XVI's attempt to counter the projects of the German episcopate, based on ideas of the theologian Hans Küng to accelerate the break with tradition, by affirming the hermeneutics of continuity, especially in the ethical questions and independence of the national Episcopal Conferences from Rome. Under Bergoglio, these projects fall on fertile ground thanks to the influence exerted on the current Pope by the German Cardinal Walter Kasper, the keynote speaker for the Family Synod and the openings to remarried divorcees, dissolute marriages and homosexuals. Kasper also has the promotion of ever closer relations with that of the Lutheran and Protestant worlds as a whole."
Cardinal Walter Kasper and his influence on the pontificate of Pope Francis

The Amazon Synod was the logical consequence of a policy "aimed at affirming the triumph of syncretism in the name of the only God of a world unity religion." As such, this could be "recognized and revered under every form, symbol and deity, whether Christian or pagan."
The result is a Catholic Church "which, despite assertions to the contrary, is reduced to a mere agency for the promotion of good, a kind of NGO empowered solely for support, solidarity and hospitality without any conversion purpose, and rather interested in subjecting faith to the project of planetary globalism. Only in this way can the Koran recited in the Church be declared a sign of respect for Muslim migrants who are welcomed in the name of universal Soros goodness."
Archbishop Vigano is therefore right, says Mascarucci:

"The time has come to discuss the Second Vatican Council and the fruits it produced, in the hope that the future Pope will submit the request for a profound revision in the sign of the only true faith, the only true Gospel, the only true Magisterium and the only true Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the God incarnated for the salvation of mankind, as its own."

Aberrosexual Parish Has Drive-Through Communion

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minneapolis, July 20, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — A Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis has published a YouTube video instructing laity to collect Holy Communion from plastic bags at the back of the church and consume the hosts in their cars because of the coronavirus.

The video was produced by the Pax Christi parishin Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, and was highlighted last week on the blog of American priest Father John Zuhlsdorf.

The parish has now removed the video and Zuhlsdorf reports that a priest of the archdiocese has informed him that “this sacrilegious farce was shut down.”

It's on!

Francis Elevates Junipero Serra’s Last Mission Church to a Basilica

Edit: what a maverick! He is going starkly against the wishes of his usual clients and revolutionary dependents.

The Mission Church of San Buenaventura in Ventura was founded in 1782 by St.  Junipero Serra.  It is the first basilica in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Ventura (kath.net/jg) Pope Francis has elevated a California mission church built by St.  Junipero Serra to the rank of minor basilica.  The Archdiocese of Los Angeles has announced that the San Buenaventura Mission in Ventura, California is now a basilica, reports the Catholic Herald.

Jose Gomez, the Archbishop of Los Angeles, confirmed the decision on July 15, the eve of the feast day of St.  Bonaventura, announced and then celebrated a Mass, with Auxiliary Bishop Robert Barron and Thomas Elewaut, Pastor of San Buenaventura Mission, concelebrating.

The church is the eighty-eighth basilica in the United States and the first in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  A church is elevated to a basilica if it has a special pastoral or liturgical meaning.  In 2014 Pastor Elewaut asked the congregation for the elevation of his church to the basilica.  In a brief statement, he thanked Pope Francis and Archbishop Gomez, who had always supported the request.

The San Buenaventura Mission was founded on Easter Sunday 1782 by St.  Junipero Serra.  It was the ninth and last mission station that the Franciscan Father established.  Serra campaigned for the indigenous people and their rights, which repeatedly brought him into conflict with the Spanish colonial authorities.  In 2015 he was canonized by Pope Francis.  The mission stations he founded later became the largest cities in California, including San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Despite his commitment, statues of the saint have been damaged or destroyed in protests in recent weeks.  Some churches and the Catholic University of San Diego then removed publicly accessible statues of Junipero Serra to protect them from damage.  The church of the San Gabriel Mission, which was recently partially destroyed by fire, was founded in 1771 by Junipero Serra.

Warmongering Weigel the Popemaker?

Edit: one might ask, is there a Cardinal who represents all of the characteristics described by Weigel? Why does Weigel have the requisites to examine the attributes of the ideal future leader of the Catholic Church?  Is warmongering for and groveling to Israel among the ideal characteristics described Weigel?

Anyway, either receiving an endorsement from Cheesehead or an endorsement from Weigel are very encouraging.

Ignatius Press used to be promising, even if it did publish some odd titles. Father Fessio SJ himself was always pretty suspicious, suggesting that America. Catholics aren’t very knowledgeable about Freemasonry and wouldn’t be interested, when he put the kibosh on a  relationship between Ignatius Press and the Italian Right Journal 30 Days, put out by Giussiani’s Communion and Liberation.

From Kath.news:

Critics say that by sending out George Weigel's book "The Next Pope" the cardinal broke with a long-established practice.

 Commentary by Martin Bürger

New York (kath.net/mb) Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, is currently under criticism for addressing the Cardinals to George Weigel’s book published by  Ignatius Press, “The next Pope ”.  The message contained just one sentence, in which Dolan thanked Ignatius Press for providing "this important reflection on the future of the Church to the College of Cardinals".

The Catholic News Agency (KNA), for example, citing the US National Catholic Reporter newspaper, said it was a "breach of the long-standing practice that top Church officials are reluctant to publicly influence potential candidates for the Pope." The National Catholic Reporter later followed up, claiming that Dolan had mistaken the next conclave "for the upcoming US presidential election" in November this year.

The absurdity of the allegations against Cardinal Dolan can only be seen from the fact that the books were not sent by him, but by Ignatius Press (the German-speaking cardinals, by the way, received the German translation from Media Maria).  But this finding only shifts the criticism from the Archbishop of New York to the publisher.  So did Ignatius Press ultimately influence the next papal election?

In fact, if one consistently thinks the allegations to the end, cardinals should no longer be able to read anything if the threshold for influencing a conclave is set so low.  Because what did George Weigel do in his book?  He summarized qualities that the next Pope should have, and also mentioned some things that are better to avoid.  Worth mentioning is personal holiness as well as the ability to manage sensibly, set priorities correctly and promote good people to important positions.  In other words, Weigel compactly summarizes what any cardinal, bishop, and simple priest or layperson could painstakingly work out from numerous other books.

Should a cardinal no longer be able to read the saints' lives of Pius X or John Paul II, because at least the author would influence the election of the pope?  Imagine a cardinal sending such a life of saints to another.  Is that already influencing?  This also applies analogously to other books, of course, even if they are very mundane works, for example on the development of leadership qualities.

Weigel does not describe any of the 222 members of the College of Cardinals, of whom exactly 122 are currently eligible to vote, as a good candidate for the Pope.  He makes no election recommendations.  And even if Weigel would introduce or even rate a number of cardinals, as did the Rome correspondent for the National Catholic Register, Edward Pentin, a member of the EWTN group ("The Next Pope. The Leading Cardinal Candidates"):  Isn't it a good thing that cardinals have the opportunity to get to know their brothers on the other side of the planet better, without researching for days or even weeks?  Why should they be asked to vote at the next conclave for a candidate they know next to nothing about?  That can certainly go well - or not.  There is no reason not to provide all cardinals with a solid foundation on which they can open themselves to the Holy Spirit at the next conclave and vote accordingly.

Aberrosexual Activists Attack Catholic Prayer for the Family in Italy — Mayor Sides With Reprobates — Police Ignore Mayor

Two days ago, the parish-priest of San Nicola in Lizzano, Taranto Archdiocese, called for a prayer for the Family. The Family is presently threatened in Italy by aborrosexual propaganda.

[Gloria.tv] At the same time, militant homosexuals gathered outside his church for an unauthorised demonstration.

Therefore, the local priest called the police to re-establish order, while the militants alarmed the mayor, Antionietta D’Oria, who did not defend the freedom of worship but sided with the lawbreakers and asked the police to identify those who participated at the prayer.

In keeping with the law, police refused to do so. At this point D’Oria who calls herself a “Catholic” attacked the Church in a written statement.

At the moment, the leftwing Italian parliament is working on introducing a muzzle law which will prohibit criticizing gay propaganda.

Before you get outraged and call the Catholic League....

Ask yourself, how much of this has been made possible by the fact that enough of our priests have been acting like rabbis for the past six decades? In the past, tracts like Maria Monk relied on an ignorant Protestant population being shielded from the Faith for success. You can't even pick at minor details in this video. For example, the priest is offering Mass in a black suit and collar. But, I'm sure this has happened at a Nervous disOrdo parish somewhere with a lectern placed in the middle of the sanctuary aping the Calvinists. The only thing that could still leave us incredulous is all of the people going to confession and a priest talking about Hell. That's libelous.
