Sexual Abuse by Mental Healthcare Professionals is Worse Than in the Catholic Church

You can find everything in the Mental Health field. You can find fraud, lies, deceit, sexual depravity and coverups. You can find everything, perhaps, except Mental Health.

It would seem clear that in a profession where at least 25% (in England) of Mental Healthcare Professions would admit to having sexual contact with their clients and patients has some serious problems with credibility. Many abusive practitioners attempt to hide behind the term consenting adults, or even attempt to portray their sexual abuse as therapeutic. Many of you will remember how a California psychologist destroyed an order of California IHM Nuns, who irresponsibly encouraged them to explore themselves sexually by abandoning all of their "repressive" ideas.

Despite the obvious problems with Psychologists, who generally lack a coherent moral system and often reject such things as nonsensical, many anti-Catholic bigots would prefer to hold the Catholic Church exclusively responsible for the sexual abuse of minors, despite the epidemic level of dishonesty, corruption, sexual abuse and coverup in the Mental Healthcare Profession.

We've always argued that sexual abuse is generally perpetrated by people with a progressive ideological persuasion, they are materialists and therefore are unwilling to admit the objectivity of absolute moral imperatives as handed down to the Jews in Sinai in the form of the Decalogue (The 10 Commandments). Undoubtedly, if you regard these things as legendary fairytales, you're very likely to also go your own way when you think no one's looking, and even transgress the clear ethical directives of your own field, as many psychiatrists and psychologists do. They don't fear God or His laws. So, those priests who also are guilty of these crimes are of the same persuasion and in counseling those who come to them for help, often go by the same materialist assumptions, and use the same tactics as Mental Healthcare Professionals.

Despite the fact that there are all too many Catholic Priests who are infected with a materialist point of view, eager to reduce the Church to a merely man-made institution, we'd still submit that people are more safe in the confines of the present institutions of the Catholic Church, as bad as they are throughout the world, than in the hands of a profession containing a group of men and women who will admit that they engage in sexual contact with their patients at a rate from 10%-25%. * A woman is statistically at greater risk of being raped while on a psychiatrist’s couch than while jogging alone at night through a city park.
* In a British study of therapist-patient sexual contact among psychologists, 25 percent reported having treated a patient who had been sexually involved with another therapist. [Of that number, 1 in 20 were children, and this was admitted]
* A 2001 study reported that one out of twenty clients who had been sexually abused by their therapist was a minor, the average age being 7 for girls and 12 for boys. The youngest child was three.

MIDDLETOWN -- — A 63-year-old former Bristol school psychologist pleaded guilty Monday to sexually abusing a female resident of a Clinton group home where he worked part time.

James Sullivan made the third-degree sexual assault plea before Middlesex Superior Court Judge Robert L. Holzberg. He faces a minimum of nine months and a maximum of two years in prison based on recommendations agreed to by his attorney, a state prosecutor and Holzberg. Sullivan is scheduled for sentencing Dec. 6 after a pre-sentence inquiry by a state probation officer.

Sullivan was accused of sexually assaulting the 45-year-old woman in her room in July 2000, at a time that he was the only staff member on duty. Police said the charges were based on forensic evidence found at the scene and interviews with the woman and staff at the home, which they declined to identify to protect the woman's identity. Staff members reported the woman's complaints the day after the incident, police said, and Sullivan was immediately suspended from his job. Read further...

[August 27, 2009] VICTORVILLE - A terrible story of child abuse in San Bernardino County where a former school psychologist has been found guilty of sexually and physically abusing his son over 18 years.

A jury Wednesday convicted 47-year old Richard J. Swank of a dozen felony counts, read further.

[Psychcrime] The February 24th arrest of Claude E. Foulk, [listed already above] the (former) executive director of California’s Napa State Psychiatric Hospital on 35 felony counts of molestation involving a former foster child is, on its own, shocking. However, this kind of conduct by psychiatric and mental health “professionals” is, unfortunately, rather common. Here is a partial list of some of the more notable such cases:

On December 13, 2001, Indiana elementary school psychologist Stephen T. Serino was found guilty of 26 counts of child molestation and was later sentenced to 90 years in prison. He had molested the son of a family friend 15 times over two years, beginning when the boy was 11 years old, while acting like “a father figure to the boy.” Serino, who conducted psychological assessments in several school districts, was concurrently prosecuted in a neighboring county for sex acts with two minors, one of whom was a student he had assessed and later took the troubled student to his home, where he violated him. He was sentenced in September 2002 to 140 years prison. Hendricks County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Stephanie LeMay-Luken, referring to his first sentence, said, “I can guarantee that when he is released, if he is alive, he will commit the offense again. He is a serial pedophile.”

Alan J. Horowitz: On July 27, 1992 New Jersey psychiatrist Alan J. Horowitz was criminally convicted of sexually abusing an 9-year-old boy who had been his patient and given a sentence of 10 to 20 years in prison. In addition to this case there were also charges that he sodomized three boys and sexually abused a girl between the years of 1990 and 1991. Horowitz had been convicted of sexual abuse once before in Maryland in 1983 for sexually molesting two brothers, aged 8 and 12. He was given a five-year suspended sentence on that case. A review of Horowitz’s background revealed that he had a 20 year history of sexual abuse incidents with young patients starting as far back as 1971 while a young medical resident at Duke University. Horowitz tried to justify his crimes by stating that he was a “normal pedophile” and that he had not used force on the children.

In September 1998 Michigan psychologist Stephen Viola, pleaded guilty to sexually touching two young boys he was counseling. The circuit judge sentenced Viola to six months jail, telling him he should have followed the first rule of the Hippocratic Oath, which states, “First, do no harm.” His license was also revoked and he was prevented from reapplying for it for three years. As required by his plea, Viola also registered himself with Michigan’s Sex Offender Registry.

William Lee Fuchs, a North Carolina psychologist was sentenced in August 1995 to 21 years prison for 49 sex crimes involving children. One patient, who as a boy had been sent to Fuchs for counseling when his parents were going through a divorce, testified that at his second session with Fuchs, he broke down sobbing about his family situation. “He (Fuchs) began to hug me, caress me a man would a woman. He began to kiss my face and lips.” After that, he began to perform “oral sex on me.”

California psychiatrist James H. White was criminally convicted of drugging a male patient until he was unconscious then sexually molesting him and sentenced to nearly seven years in prison. Police discovered pictures and a videotape of the sexual molestation. White was released on bail pending his criminal trial when he fled the country. He was later captured in Texas with a 15-year-old boy. During the criminal trial yet another man came forward with allegations that White had adopted him out of a mental institution when he was 16 years old and then proceeded to sexually abuse him for nearly 20 years.

Psychologist Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, who worked under contract for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for 17 years and was a recognized adoption expert, was convicted on charges of sexually molesting his foster son for six years, starting the first day that the Department of Children and Family Services placed the then 8-year-old boy in Bourguignon’s home. He fled the U.S. prior to trial and was sentenced June 30, 1993 in absentia to 36 years prison. He was extradited back to the U.S. from Tunisia in 2004 to serve his sentence.

Robert Bruce Craft, a Georgia psychologist under contract to the state’s Department of Children and Family Services was sentenced to 20 years in prison in May, 2000, having been convicted of 99 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, 15 counts of felony child molestation and three counts misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a child. Craft was found to possess over 600 photos he had taken of children exposing their genitals. Twelve of his photographic subjects were children that were referred to him for treatment by the DCF. Though the Court of Appeals reversed 71 of the sexual exploitation convictions, they did not reduce the 20-year sentence.

On July 23, 1999 California psychiatrist Burnell G. Forgey pleaded guilty to five counts of molesting a teenage boy who was his patient. Forgey spent over a year in jail and surrendered his medical license. Forgey worked as a psychiatrist for troubled youth group homes and was arrested after police discovered that he and a registered sex offender named James Lee Crummel had drugged and forced a teenage patient to have sex with them on numerous occasions. Crummel had met Forgey when he was getting therapy from him and had been hired by Forgey to be his assistant. Forgey not only committed sex crimes himself but allowed a dangerous sex offender – with a rap sheet spanning decades of sexual assaults and murder against children – access to numerous vulnerable children and teenagers as he took Crummel along when he saw patients and allowed him unsupervised access to the children.

Psychologist Stephen Andrew Gilmore was sentenced March 9, 2004 to nine months jail and ordered to pay restitution of $10,000 to the victim, a girl he admitted sexually abusing, beginning when she was seven years old. Gilmore had been in a relationship with the girl’s mother from 1990 to 1993, living with them in Christchurch, New Zealand. Gilmore would get the seven-year-old to walk on his back for the purpose of massage and, after one such occasion, asked her to masturbate him, showing her how when she expressed reluctance. The judge revealed that the girl “became shut-down and reclusive” and began to had suicidal thoughts by age 12.

On August 24, 2006, Texas child psychiatrist Donald Hughes entered a plea of guilty to charges of indecency involving young patients. Hughes is expected to receive five years in prison for each of three counts as part of a plea bargain. Hughes was first arrested April 22, 2004, and charged with two counts of indecency with a child after two patients alleged that he fondled them in April 2003. A third victim came forward later, after his mother read a news article about the first two allegations. He was sentenced September 5, 2006 to three five-year prison sentences.

On February 3, 2010, The Texas Medical Board indefinitely suspended child psychiatrist William Olmstead for failure to comply with terms of his Board-ordered probation, which required, among other things, that he submit to a psychiatric evaluation. Olmstead pleaded no contest in January 2009 to indecency with a child and was sentenced to six years deferred adjudication (meaning if he complied with terms of his criminal probation—which is unrelated to the probation of his license by the medical board—then the conviction would removed from his record). He was also placed on the sex offender registry. According to reports, he was charged after a young girl who lived next door said he’d molested her.

Wily Cardinal of Vienna Defends New Neocatholic Bishop of Eisenstadt

EF: Bishop Paul Iby, defender of heterodoxy, replaced by upgrade Neoconservative, "Child of Vatican II", but Vienna's Cardinal is eager to defend him.

Pope Benedict XVI has posted this Friday Agidius Zsifkovics as the new Bishop of Eisenstadt -- unease in the Austrian church over SPÖ (Socialist Party Austria) "commentating" on the naming -- Greetings of the new Bishop on kath.net.

Eisenstadt (kath.net) Pope Benedict has announced this Friday that Aegidius Zsifkovics is to be named as the new Bishop of Eisenstadt. This was reported by the Vatican this Friday. Zsifkoics was born on 16 April, 1963 in Guessing (Burgenland). His priestly ordination fell on 29 June, 1987 in Eisenstadt. In the time between 1987 to 1988 he was the episcopal secretary and finally from 1992-1999 Chair of the Chancellery. Since 1994 he's been pastor in Wulkaprodersdorf and since 1996 director of the department for the pastoral care of Croatian people. From 1996 he was also an author for the Croatian church paper, "Glasnik". From 1 February 1999 to 9 July 2010 he was the General Secretary of the Austrian Bishops' Conference.

Unease in episcopal circles was felt on Friday in the connection with the Episcopal announcement and the Burgeland- SPÖ (Socialist Party) for the departing Bishop Iby as a "great churchman" who had shown himself as a tireless reformer, who also did not shrink in terror, to draw clear positions on explosive themes -- catchword celibacy. "I hope, that his successor in the episcopal office will continue in this open course," said Defense Minister Norbert Darabos this Friday.

Bishop's Greetings on Kathnet

He describes himself as a child of the Vatican Council and promises to work without ideological bias, as well as the familiar approach to the ecumenism and a reminder of his own Croat heritage and experience as a pastor.

He didn't Defend the Linz Auxiliary Bishop like This!

This is the Proof: The old liberal Cardinal Schönborn of Vienna felt himself personally attacked and rushed to Eisenstadt for his named clone in whom otherwise would shun with an iron shod distance.

[Kreuz.net] The old liberal Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, had defended the current announcement of Msgr Zsifkovics as Bishop of Eisenstdt with a drawn sword.

The old liberal Cardinal took considerable and unusual umbrage over the neoconservative new Bishop.

There were "hard words" falling.

Most had no foundation in reality -- the Cardinal averred:

"I expressly repudiate the completely unqualified attacks, as they were hurtfully formulated by Professor [Fr] Paul Zuhlehner and Prelate Helmut Schuller.

Such 'distant diagnoses' could poison the Church's life" -- feigned the Intrigue-Cardinal.

It falls upon everyone, especially a newly named Bishop to receive good will.

The old liberal Cardinal compared the most recent naming indirectly to Father Gerhard Wagner as the Linz Auxiliary Bishop in January 2009:

"In this case the more conservative approach in the preparation of an episcopal announcement would be adhered to."

With "a more conservative approach" he means his personal involvement in the episcopal announcement of his country, by which a Catholic Linz Auxiliary Bishop's appointment could be impeded.

"The present Bishop of Eisenstadt is "a man of the middle", has written for a great Austrian Newspaper: So I have been collaborating with him for all of those years" -- exulted Cardinal Schönborn.

"Man of the middle" is the known self-identification of the old liberal faction for their own anti-Church functionaries.

The Cardinal is himself certain, that Bishop Zsifkovics, "will build bridges between the various mentalities, perceptions and lifestyles [EF says: Yeah] in the Church's domain.

He could on "build a good foundation lain by his predecessors [Msgr] Stefan Laszlo and [Msgr] Paul Iby."

Actually, Bishop Iby has left the Diocese of Eisenstadt in an indescribable Chaos.

Translation from kreuz.net, by EF...

EF says: The Cardinal is an enigma, but should it be so hard for Catholics to discern what he's doing? Perhaps not, but even a Pastor as clever as a serpent would be at greater pains to leave his sheep in no doubt about his love for Christ and willingness to die for the Church.

Archbishop Zollitsch Finally Apologizes for Covering Up

He comes clean, but he just might go to jail with Cardinal Daneels. Despite attempting to discredit one of his victims, this Prelate wants to stay. Like all of these apparent apologies, they lack teeth. A long sabbatical in Manheim prison might be a fitting tribute to justice.

BERLIN — Germany's top Roman Catholic bishop on Friday acknowledged mistakes in dealing with allegations against a priest who is believed to have molested boys over more than two decades.

Robert Zollitsch, Archbishop of Freiburg and head of the German Bishops Conference, said he should have checked more intensely into sexual abuse allegations coming from the priest's congregation in 1992.

The priest, who has not been named, is accused of molesting altar boys and other male youths when he worked in the town of Oberharmersbach from 1968 to 1991. Zollitsch was diocese staff manager at the time and responsible for priest placements.

Bishop Carlson Says Pro-Abort Catholics May Not Receive

ST. LOUIS, Missouri, July 8, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a new column, Archbishop Robert Carlson takes to task those who argue that abortion is simply a political issue, pointing out that it is also a serious moral issue. He also makes clear that one cannot be a good Catholic and be "pro-choice."

"People who are casual about the sin of abortion and who choose to view it as a political issue rather than the serious moral issue that it is are guilty of violating the Fifth Commandment," he writes.

Human life is sacred, according to the archbishop, because "from its beginning until its natural end, it involves the creative action of God."

Vatican Rebuke for Munich Archbishop Marx: Ettal Abbot and Prior Exonerated

The Vatican exonerated the earlier Abbot of Ettal and rebukes the Diocese of Munich: Abbot Barnabas has done everything, what was required by the situation. The naming of a successor is not to happen.

Berlin/Munich (kath.net/KNA) A Vatican Investigative Commission has, says the newspapers "Die Welt" and "Muenchner Merkur", (Friday)that the resigned management of the Benedictine Cloister Ettal has been exonerated of the abuse scandal. Both papers refer to a corresponding letter of the Roman Cardinal Prefect Franc Rode, who directs for the Monks the competent section in the Vatican. As the papers report, there had been an Apostolic visitation in the Cloister, that resigned order members had made no error in their handling of the Ettal sexual and physical abuse.

Neither Abbot Barnabas Bögle nor Prior Maurus Krass would have neglected a prescribed requirement to report. The Abbot did everything, "which was required by the situation". A renewed election of both ministers from their earlier offices is not required.

The Abbot and the Prior had been accused, that they had not reported to the competent Archdiocese of Muenchen-Freising in 2005 when they became aware of a new sexual abuse. According to the information the papers have the expert opinion of the Vatican is not associated with that of the view of the Archdiocese of Munich.

The letter from Rome had been delivered by Wednesday to the Cloister of Ettal, reported "Muenchner Merkur" further. Otherwise it would have been necessary to select a name Abbot by 31 July. The Monastic Congregation has appointed this directive. From the Cloister no one has wanted till now to discuss any of the new developments. There should be a press release on Friday.

The report brings a new rebuke for the ambitious Archbishop Marx at the same time in "Die Welt". There have been for a long while already critics of the administration of the Archiepiscopal Chair. So it was already made known in March, that the resignation of Barnabas and Maurus was to take place on the ground of a false accusation.

When Will People Take Action Against Anti-Catholic Bigots?

The following Op-ed piece condescends to implicate the Church in the malaise of sexual immorality which engulfs all of modern society. It's a persistent but convenient ploy to use children to further political and cultural goals.

[New York Times] When rolling scandal forced the American Catholic bishops conference to take action against pedophile priests, the prelates issued a tough policy requiring accused child molesters be reported immediately to secular authorities. This mandate finally acknowledged that crimes against children should take priority over bureaucratic church policies that served to cloak rogue priests and bishops in a fog of ecclesiastical evasion.

Eight years after the American church’s overdue order, it is shocking that Pope Benedict XVI and the Vatican have not yet applied it to the worldwide Roman Catholic Church. The pedophilia scandal has erupted in other nations, leaving parents concerned about a repetition of the harrowing experience in America, where more than 700 priests had to be dismissed across a three-year period. Yet the Vatican is reportedly working on new “guidelines” — not mandates. They are likely to fall short of zero-tolerance and other requirements in the American church that parishes and communities be alerted to abusers.

It is becoming clear that, as a Vatican administrator for two decades, the future pope handled the pedophilia scandal with no great distinction. Church policy under his aegis was too often a study in confusion and frustration for diocesan authorities looking for firm guidance from Rome, according to an investigative report by Laurie Goodstein and David Halbfinger in The Times. Alarmed bishops in English-speaking nations put unusual pressure on the Vatican to have a secret meeting in 2000 to consider stronger countermeasures.

The Naming is Official: Bishop Mixa's Successor Is Neoconservative

Today at noon the Diocese of Augsburg made the following decision known: Bishop Konrad Zdarsa of Gorlitz assumes the Southwest Bavarian Diocese. 'Pressplitter'

Named just before the Summer Vacation:

"Pope Benedict XVI has chosen the Bishop of Gorlitz, Msgr Konrad Zdarsa as the successor for Bishop Walter Mixa as the Bishop of Augsburg. The Vatican made this information public on Thursday. The document has the date of Wednesday, was also signed before the Pope's summer vacation." [Eponymous notes: which means he chose this Bishop himself]

'From the report of German 'Katolischen Nachrichtenagentur'.

A Neoconservative

"He is a promoted canon lawyer and studied in Rome. [Bishop] Zdarsa is valued as a proven conservative. His selection proclaims "For HE is our Peace".

From a report of the German 'Katholiscen Nachrichtenagentur'.

The Labels Correspond to Reality

"It would be false to mistake Bishop Zdarsa with a label, which are so beloved of inner-Church hostiles, but which wear upon the life of the Church. The faithful in any case have little interest, if one puts [Msgr] Zdarsa to the left or the right. They desire a Bishop, who transcends these mental barriers -- through example and encouragement, through an unostentatious lived piety, through personal integrity and bearing, but also through a clear witness of faith, undisturbed by the Zeitgeist.

From a commentary by Markus Günther, Chefredakteur the Newspaper, ‘Augsburger Allgemeine’.

Standing Orders from the ‘Süddeutschen’

"In Saint Ulrich's Publishers [...] the business director Dirk Herman Voss still gives the tone, who as media coordinator of Bishop Mixa had participated in the turbulence in the Diocese related to Bishop Mixa. He is considered to be the string-puller of the conservative church wing in the Diocese, many priests and laymen have confirmed this int he past: Voss must go. [Msgr] Zdarsa can expect therefore great provocations. Simultaneously, Augsburgers wait on his reputation as a peacemaker.

From the article of the in the previously cited naming of Bishop Zdarsa in the ‘Süddeuschen’.

"[Msgr] Zdarsa, who is at this time the Bishop of the smallest Catholic Diocese in Germany, is also being discussed as the successor of [Bishop] Mixa as military Bishop.

From a report in the newspaper 'Frankfurter Allgemeine'

Praise from the False Corner

"Bavaria's [Abortion and Homo-] Culture Minister Ludwig Spaenle shows himself to be overjoyed, that a successor for [Bishop] Mixa had been found. The ruling of the Holy See shows itself as forceful and welcome. The selection of the Bishop is in the sense of state government. Only could one further develop the Diocese of Augsburg effectively.

Religious Sisters Urge Youth to Serve the Poor

Starting small is seen as a key

By PATRICIA COLL FREEMAN

CatholicAnchor.org

How does a teen serve the poor?

Love like Christ and start small — this was the suggestion from three religious sisters in a June 22 talk during the Alaska Catholic Youth Conference at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and parish school in Anchorage.

As Daughters of Charity, Sister Mary Peter Diaz, Sister Kati Kline and Sister Donna Kramer have taken vows to serve the poor. They consider the work a “privilege,” Sister Kramer told the 24 teens attending the workshop.

The Catholic sisters come from a long line of saintly servants to the poor, like 17th century French priest Saint Vincent de Paul, father of the Vincentian religious congregations and charities, and St. Louise de Marillac, a widow who helped organize poor girls who wanted to feed their fellow destitute in Paris.

GE (And Notre Dame) We Bring Bad Things To Life!

SOUTH BEND, Indiana, July 7, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The University of Notre Dame has ignored a request to rescind the University’s May 2010 honoring of General Electric (GE) for “values-based decision making,” despite the company’s involvement with embryonic stem cell research.

In a letter dated June 1 to Notre Dame President Fr. John Jenkins, C.S.C., Cardinal Newman Society President Patrick J. Reilly wrote, “Given Notre Dame’s Catholic identity, especially considering its ‘Statement Supporting the Choice for Life’ issued a month ago, it is contradictory and potentially scandalous for the University to honor a company which is in clear conflict with the teaching of the Catholic Church.”

“Although the award has already been given to General Electric,” continued Reilly, “I strongly encourage you to publicly revoke the honor so that progress made by Notre Dame as a Catholic, pro-life institution may continue. Most importantly, I suggest that this honor and last year’s commencement controversy point to the value of a consistent university policy on honors and platforms to uphold Notre Dame’s Catholic mission.”

Archbishop Rowan Under Siege Over Homosexual Ordination

Rowan Williams, the archbishop of Canterbury, is embroiled in a new crisis within the Church of England over the decision to block the appointment of a gay cleric as bishop of Southwark.

Liberals and mainstream Anglicans are furious that the archbishop has once more failed to exert any leadership over mutinous forces threatening to split the church over the sensitive issue of homosexuality.

Dr Jeffrey John, the dean of St Albans, was in the running for the senior position at Southwark until his name was leaked, enabling conservative clerics to stop the appointment. An embattled Williams has now launched an inquiry at Lambeth Palace to find out who divulged the name .

The archbishop was appalled that John's name was disclosed in a successful attempt to derail his candidacy, exactly seven years after he was forced to stand down as the prospective bishop of Reading following a previous outcry by conservative evangelicals against John's sexuality. Fingers are being pointed at the same evangelical hardliners who orchestrated the 2003 campaign.

Pravda -- Abortion Poised to Make Russia Childless Land

Russia may become a childless country. Every year the number of families who cannot or choose not to have children is increasing. One reason is abortions or infertility of one of the spouses. In addition, a western trend for families who do not have children for the sole reason that raising them takes too much time and money is coming to Russia.

There are a number of reasons why couples refuse to have kids. They include health problems, lack of financial support, obsession with a career, a number of psychological problems and even simply the lack of maternal instinct.

According to recent sociological research, the number of childless couples in Russia is 15-20%, said Valentina Shirokova, head of the Department of Child Health and obstetrics service MHSD. And this is despite the fact that the Government of Russia has taken all possible measures to address this problem. In particular, it increased the amount of benefits paid at birth, developed entire programs to support large families and single mothers. In addition, the social advertisement actively fights against abortions. Teenagers are explained how to avoid pregnancy, and what are the complications caused by early abortions. However, every year the birth rate in the country declines.

Homosexual Priest Stole $1.3 Million for Male Escorts, Etc.

By Patrick B. Craine

WATERBURY, Connecticut, July 7, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A homosexual Connecticut Roman Catholic priest allegedly stole over a million dollars from his parish to pay for various extravagances and illicit activities, including male escorts, report the Waterbury police.

Fr. Kevin Gray, 64, former pastor of Sacred Heart parish in Waterbury, has been charged with first-degree larceny after taking $1.3 million out of parish funds to pay for escorts, hotels, meals out, and clothes.

He carried credit cards for two men on his account – one whom he met at a strip club, the other from an escort service. He paid tuition to Harvard for another man that he met in Central Park.

"Up until this investigation he had an excellent reputation," police Captain Christopher Corbett told Fox News. "The life he was leading in New York City was much different than the life he was leading in Waterbury as a priest. He's certainly an example of someone who was leading a double life."

The priest began taking money when he was transferred to Sacred Heart in 2003. He told police that he “had grown to hate being a priest” and “he felt the church owed it to him.”

The financial discrepancies were reported by the archdiocese on May 27 after Fr. Gray took a medical leave in April and disappeared. He turned himself in to police Tuesday, and was arraigned with bail set at $750,000.

The police affidavit says Fr. Gray told police he is homosexual and that he objects to the Church’s teaching on homosexuality.

In a 2005 instruction, the Vatican prohibited admitting homosexuals into seminaries, and warned that "one must in no way overlook the negative consequences that can derive from the ordination of persons with deep-seated homosexual tendencies.”
The directive has gone unheeded in many dioceses, and has even been directly opposed by some bishops and religious orders. Some commentators have suggested that the instruction was not meant to bar men with homosexual tendencies, but merely those with an immature sexuality.

But Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone reaffirmed the teaching in 2008, in a letter to the world’s bishops, insisting that the ban on admitting men with homosexual tendencies to seminaries applies universally.

US Attacks Egypt Over Homosexual Rights at the UN

NEW YORK, July 8 (C-FAM) At the United Nations (UN) last week, several U.S. representatives attacked Egypt for asking for further investigation into a homosexual advocacy organization which has applied for special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. The attack included a sharp rebuke by U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice. The actions seem to contravene President Obama’s strategy of engaging Egypt and other Muslim societies in key foreign policy aims such as Middle East peace.

At a UN committee meeting, three American representatives rose in protest of an Egyptian-led group of nations seeking further investigation of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC). One U.S. representative attacked Egypt so aggressively that the Egyptian delegate called a point of order on the matter. The committee is in charge of deciding which organizations are granted consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Ambassador Rice then announced, “The United States Mission to the UN is, among other efforts, working to reverse an attempt by some members of the NGO [Non-Governmental Organization] Committee of the Economic and Social Council to deny UN consultative status to the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.” The U.S. is planning to circumvent Egypt and the committee by bringing the matter to a vote at the upcoming ECOSOC meeting.

Catholic Health Association endorses backdoor appointment by President Obama, critics say it was devious move

The Catholic Health Association has once again sprung to the defense of President Barack Obama, this time over his controversial “recess appointment” yesterday of Dr. Donald Berwick as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The president made the appointment while the Senate was in recess, thereby avoiding committee hearings and Senate confirmation of Dr. Berwick, who has come under fire for past remarks about rationed health care and end-of-life treatment for the terminally ill.

Earlier this year, the Catholic Health Care Association defied American bishops by endorsing the president’s “healthcare reform” bill. The bishops had urged Congress not to approve the measure because it failed to include sufficient conscience protection provisions, left open the door for government-funded abortions, and did not include coverage for everyone.

Gay Anglican blocked from becoming bishop: reports

(AFP)

LONDON — An openly gay cleric has been blocked from becoming a Church of England bishop, amid fears the controversial ordination could have further strained the Anglican movement, reports said Thursday.

Jeffrey John had been tipped to become Bishop of Southwark, in London, after making the shortlist with strong support from the local diocese, The Times and Telegraph newspapers reported.

But a selection committee, which included Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams -- the head of the 77 million Anglicans across the globe -- rejected calls for John's ordination, said the papers.

Alleged Vatican Official Says Extraterrestrials Are Real

"Vatican Officials" say a lot of things. This man who is said to be an expert in demonology also claims to be an expert on the phenomenon of intelligent extraterrestrial life. We say they are supernatural in origin and the appearance of strange and foreboding lights in the sky are unfavorable signs.

Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a theologian member of the Vatican Curia (governing body), and an insider close to the Pope, has gone on Italiannational television five times, including recent months, to proclaim that extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. Balducci provided an analysis of extraterrestrials that he feels is consistent with the Catholic Church's understanding of theology. Monsignor Balducci emphasizes that extraterrestrial encounters "are NOT demonic, they are NOT due topsychological impairment, they are NOT a case of entity attachment, but these encounters deserve to be studied carefully." Since Monsignor Balducci is a demonology expert and consultant to the Vatican , and since the Catholic Church has historically demonized many new phenomena that were poorly understood, [Like the historical propensity for the press to be leftist deceivers who herald new phenomena like Communism as saviours of mankind.] his stating that the Church does not censure these encounters is all the more remarkable.

Balducci revealed to a visiting American professional that the Vatican is closely following this phenomenon quietly. My informant originally surmised that the Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its Nunciatures (embassies) in various countries.

Pope names new bishop in Germany after resignation over scandal

By The Associated Press (CP) – 4 hours ago

VATICAN CITY — Pope Benedict XVI has named a new bishop for Augsburg, Germany, filling the post vacated when the former bishop resigned amid accusations of physical abuse, sexual harassment and alcoholism.

The Vatican announced Thursday that 66-year-old Bishop Konrad Zdarsa was moving from the Goerlitz diocese to Augsburg.

Catholic Priest and Nun Murdered in China

[ABS-CBN] BEIJING - A priest and a nun who were both members of China's underground Catholic church were murdered in the north of the country this week but the motive was not clear, police said Thursday.

AsiaNews, a Vatican-based news service, said Joseph Shulai Zhang and Sister Mary Wei Yanhui were apparently stabbed to death at the nursing home where they worked in the city of Wuhai in Inner Mongolia.

After the two failed to appear at morning mass, their bodies were discovered in a pool of blood in the home, which was housed within the local church, the report said.

The priest was apparently stabbed seven times, while the nun suffered one stab wound to the chest.

"This is a criminal matter, we are in the process of cracking this case," a city policeman, also surnamed Zhang, told AFP.

The policeman said the motive for the murders was not immediately clear and that investigators were not sure how many suspects were involved.

Zhang, 55, had been a priest since 1985. Sister Wei, 32, was the director of the nursing home, which housed about 60 elderly people, AsiaNews said.

China has about five million Catholics who worship at Communist Party-sanctioned "official" churches, while up to 11 million reportedly worship at "underground" churches not sanctioned by the government.

Chinese Government Frees Catholic Bishop: Still Refuses to Accept Government's Authority

[Earth Times] Beijing - China has released a non-state-authorized Catholic bishop from detention after 15 months despite his refusal to accept Beijing's supervision of his religious practice, a US-based Catholic group said Thursday.

Police, religious affairs and local government officials summoned an aide of Jia Zhiguo, the bishop of the unregistered or "underground" Roman Catholic diocese of Zhengding in the northern province of Hebei, to escort Jia home Wednesday, the Cardinal Kung Foundation said.

But before leaving a government office in Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital, Jia told the police and officials that he still did not accept the state's authority over his church and remained loyal to the Vatican, Joseph Kung, the head of the foundation, said in a statement.

We Need Lion-Warrior Archbishops, Not Democratic Party Sympathizers

Some were a little concerned that we'd criticized the Papal Nuncio a little while back when he was accused of insulting an eccentric retiree in front the Nunciature in Washington D.C.. Well, it gets easier to believe that this is the kind of man you're dealing with when he gives us a snake of an appointment like this. The new auxiliary Bishop of San Francisco is most certainly the kind of man we don't need, since he's unwilling to make a stand against public sin and scandal. It's understandable that such a man would be appointed however, since the Nuncio, who has had problems with giving communion to pro-abort politicians himself, is just as eager to play ball with the powers and principalities as is he.

Is it too much to ask that we get real Bishops and not these feted administrative drones?

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep. But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth: and the wolf catcheth, and scattereth the sheep: And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling: and he hath no care for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me. 15 As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.

SAN FRANCISCO, July 6, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The newly-appointed auxiliary bishop of San Francisco has in the past criticized Catholic Church policy disallowing politicians who promote abortion from receiving Holy Communion, saying that such a move would make the Church appear too "partisan," "Republican" and "coercive."

Msgr. Robert McElroy made the statements in a 2005 column for America magazine, in which he criticized Newark Archbishop John Myers for maintaining the policy against public figures who promote the murder of unborn children. Canon 915 of the Church's Code of Canon Law states that "those who have been excommunicated ... and others obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion."

The Vatican on Tuesday appointed McElroy to the San Francisco diocese, where he currently serves as a priest.

Australian Priest at Large on Cardinal Pell's Watch

The priest was working in the Diocese of Newcastle, a suffragen Diocese of Sydney which belongs to Cardinal Pell. Despite a conviction in 2000, the priest was working for the Diocese filling in on weekends and working at a library for priests, as one of the formers students reported to Broken Rites:

In 2005, when Denham was aged about 62, Broken Rites ascertained that he was then working on week-days in the Sydney library of a religious order of priests. But what was he doing at weekends, when there was often a need for a relieving priest to do church services?

Despite the lack of media coverage, Broken Rites still received occasional phone calls or emails from former students or parishioners inquiring about Denham.

In November 2005, Tim (the victim from St Pius X Catholic High School in the 2000 court case) phoned Broken Rites again. He said he had learned that Denham was currently in Sydney's "supply" pool of priests who were available to do casual work as a relieving priest at weekends. Tim contacted the church's Professional Standards office in Sydney and its counterpart in Newcastle, and both these offices confirmed that Denham was working in the "supply pool". Tim told Broken Rites: "This is an alarming situation."

Certainly, Cardinal Pell wasn't on hand in the late seventies and early eighties when this homosexual was abusing adolescents in his care, but in the years after he was made Archbishop of Sydney, he did nothing to prevent this man from working in areas, like where a weekend associate Presider might have access to children. One might wonder why he was still on the rolls of the Diocese at all. Priests who've been only guilty of wanting to say the Immemorial Rite of the Mass have gotten far worse treatment than this individual did.

Considering the gravity of his crimes and the validity of the accusations against him, you'd think he could have been brought to justice sooner. Perhaps it's just as well that Cardinal Pell wasn't given the post on the Congregation of Bishops.

We'd like to think that lapses such as the above, POSSIBLE benign neglect let's call it, and his toleration for Sydney's "Gay Mass", as well as his failure to discipline Dom Alcuin Reid were factors in his non-appointment.

There seems to be a pattern involved here combined with various heterodox statements and what might be considered criminal lapses in professional and pastoral conduct.

"Sein Kampf" Cardinal Schönborn's "brave" struggle: Guardian Op-Ed

The supposed chastisement of the Cardinal leaves Christa Pongratz-Lippitt feeling upbeat. Indeed, the Cardinal's mouthpiece managed to make statements which pointed out that he did not retract any of the statements he made, particularly the one where he said: "an enduring same-sex union is preferable to a series of encounters," telling the journalists that “a stable relationship is certainly better than if someone simply indulges in promiscuity.”

Would any other cardinal but Christoph Schönborn, the Archbishop of Vienna, have joined protesters against clerical sexual abuse in a reconciliation service in his own cathedral and spoken as he did – a service with the motto: "I am furious, God"?

Schönborn began by reading out a long and dramatic admission of the Church's guilt. He thanked the abuse victims for breaking their silence and said that abuse in the Church was particularly serious, because it defiled God's holy name. The Church must "get off its high horse", which was without doubt a painful process, he said, "but what is that pain compared to the victims' pain which we overlooked and did not hear?"

A month later, at a press briefing, Schönborn said that in meeting accusations from the general public that abuse cases had been hushed up, the Vatican had reacted "rather clumsily". He was remarkably outspoken about one of the most senior cardinals in the Catholic Church, Angelo Sodano, Secretary of State under Pope John Paul II and now dean of the College of Cardinals, who on Easter Sunday in the Pope's presence had called the reports of clerical sexual abuse "petty gossip".

Belgian Police Investigating Death Threats Against Victims

Cardinal Daneels belongs in prison at the very least for malfeasance. Perhaps this will smoke out the lavender mafia in Belgium?

[BBC] Police investigating claims of child abuse by Belgian clergy have told the BBC they are probing death threats against witnesses and magistrates.

Last month police raided a meeting of Belgium's Catholic bishops as part of their investigation, seizing computers and documents.

They even searched the tomb of at least one cardinal, prompting an angry response from the Vatican.

Cardinal Pell Joins the Chorus of Apologizers: Do Penance!

When saying you're sorry just isn't enough, you get the impression that there hasn't been a tangible amends or reparation. That's why for centuries, Holy Mother the Church has employed Penance. The Irish Bishops said they were going to engage in some serious penance during Lent this year. Haven't heard anything about that.

Penance should be painful, especially for Bishops who've fallen down in their responsibilities as Cardinal Pell has. Check out the scene of the King of England being whipped in public as penance for his wickedness @2:60. Bishops should consider something like this both for themselves and their subordinates, because many people simply don't believe the apologies for past Crusades and all that:

[The Syndey Morning Herald] AUSTRALIA'S leading Catholic, Cardinal George Pell, has decided to throw his weight behind the historic apology to victims of sexual abuse issued at the weekend by Archbishop Denis Hart of Melbourne.

In a statement yesterday Cardinal Pell, the Archbishop of Sydney, said he ''wholeheartedly endorsed'' Archbishop Hart's letter of apology which went to 219 parishes in Victoria, saying the letter ''speaks for me, too''.

In the letter Archbishop Hart spoke of a ''crisis of faith'' and acknowledged that victims of clergy abuse had been betrayed, while the church had not always responded properly.

Vatican nuncio calls for women's economic empowerment | News | Total Catholic

We've had almost fifty years of women running "ecclesial structures" and churches as parish administrators and various directors of this and that to include the office of de facto acolyte and even Bishop, and isn't it high time that we admit that it hasn't worked so well. There is a correlation between the administrative influence of women and the irrelevance of the Church structures at hand. The more women's suffrage there is, the more dead an ecclesial structure (protestant, Jewish, Muslim, whatever) will be. It is incidentally a byproduct of liberalism to include women in the power structure in the sense that they want it to happen, as a systematic and administratively pre-ordained thing.

Women have always shone while they've acted outside of the normal channels of power, starting from the time when Our Lady interceded at the Wedding of Cana.

In any event, this is the kind of Marxist-Heglian class warfare mongering you'd expect from the higher Anglican clergy, not a Prince of the Roman Catholic Church. Isn't it time that prelates stopped politicizing with social justice, and the mana of the desert and started preaching penance and the salvation of souls?

Heathen Ritualism, Psychological Conditioning and Occultism at Summer Camps [NPR Story]

The occult creeps into all kinds of places and quasi-masonic rituals serve as a gateway to professional development and comradery for developing adolescents; in more sinister associations, there are subtly insinuated political ideologies as well. The camp experience described in the following report points to more troubling associations, and ones which are indeed potentially sinful and spiritually and emotionally dangerous. The various rituals planned by the camp staff employ emotionalism and a quasi-spiritual milieu through which girls and boys become attuned to teamwork and belonging to a corporate body. They are certainly not as solemn as the rites of passage associated with other fraternal organizations like the Masons, but they do tend in that direction and what is most disturbing is the levels of extreme emotionalism and irrational attachment the girls have to their groups and the camp itself.

It was interesting that a woman who'd attended Communist children's camp in Wisconsin. It's an interesting parallel because you get the impression that while it's not very certain that the elite girls and boys at Lake of the Woods camps are doing much more than reinforcing a corporate mentality, reinforced by an almost menacing amount of emotionalism, the Wisconsin Communist's experience was a positive one, filled with "educational" dramatizations contrived to give the children a sense of what a fascist society or situation involving political oppression might be like. It was also interesting that the woman describing her Communist camp experience described her mother's opinion of "brownies" as being "little fascists".

You can listen to the portion describing the girl's apparently harmless use of occult tools and quasi-masonic rituals here at 39:20. It's part of a radio show on National Public Radio called, "This American Life" which describes camp experiences for girls and boys in separate camps who hail from affluent, presumably affluent families. The experience can cost up to 8,000 dollars for eight weeks. That's $1,000 a week.

One of the strange rituals associated with the camp ethos, is that the girls are awakened in the middle of the night to go to color days, where the team captain will be selected. There's a lot of anticipation prior so the girls "harmlessly" engage the use of a Ouija board to find out who the "color captain" will be. There are two teams in the girl's camp which are blue and white. Interestingly, the boys teams are divided into red and black. These teams are embossed with a certain quasi spiritual significance, which inspires the girls to a tent revival frenzy of emotionalism. Given the market appeal of Harry Potter, you could imagine the girls and boys of the camp, perhaps, conjuring up those associations in their imaginations as they play in the confines of the camp regime.

Some of the girls stay up late into the night waiting for the event, others are awakened out of a sound sleep. The girls are then ushered around a camp fire, where a dramatization by the camp staff appear in togas embodying summoned spirit entities who talk about the color teams and their ethoi, whereupon the girls take a vow of silence which lasts for the next three days.

At this time the spirits select which of the girls will be captains for each of the teams. The hysteria that ensues is interesting as the girls who weren't chosen weep, snivel and cry as silently as possible, enveloped by their vow of silence, while the girls who were chosen, and their friends, are full of hushed elation.

Still holding the vow of silence, it's only the team captains who are permitted to talk for three days. Then when the "vow" is lifted, all of the girls spend the rest of their time screaming in the various planned collective and individual activities.

These ecstasies conjure up images of Montanist heretics, Orphic revelers and other
Pre-Christian or heathen rites dedicated to some deity craving blood sacrifice. It may have been intentional that the NPR story meant to make the association with Hitler Youth more obvious, whose own emotionalism, comradery, strange religious rites and esprit de corp are familiar to many.

The camp's website contains absolutely no religious references. Camp participants and their parents can be sure that there will be no religious element to the camp experience. It would be assumed that after playing with their Ouija boards and being brainwashed by the camp staff, that a Catholic girl or boy could attend Mass nearby on Sunday morning.

Newly Ordained Augsburg Priest Struck by Streetcar

The benediction of God has left the Diocese of Augsburg. There should be a one year fast for everyone -- not only Bishop Walter Mixa.

[Kreuz.net] Last Monday the newly ordained Augburg priest, Fr. Marcel Frölich, was the victim of a street car accident.

The Diocese of Ausburg is now asking for prayers from its website.

The priest lives, but drifts still close to danger of death.

Dragged for A Number of Meters

The accident occurred on Monday night in Augsburg. Fr.Frölich was struck by a street car and suffered life threatening injuries.

The priest had guests, who had taken part in his ordination, whom he had brought to the train. Then he walked in the Augburg mall area over the tracks.

At 1100pm the street car seized him and dragged him a number of meters.

A priest with high ideals

"We are deeply shaken and very, very shocked" -- explained the Pastor of Wessenhorn.

The minister described Fr. Frölich as a man with high ideals and goals.

He was unfortunate at his ordination.

Tomorrow, Fr. Frölich should have celebrated his first Mass in his home parish Neckartenzlingen -- 25 km from Stuttgart.

The Diocese of Augsburg hopes for his participation, that the first Mass "can soon be made up."

This sacrilege is being presided over by the Cathedral Rector, Father Faber, who has presided over other horrors, like the funeral of Communist-Homosexual Sculptor, Alfred Hrdlicka and here.

Sitting around on beer tables complete with ashtrays, they cheerfully sang "We Are The Word" by Michael Jackson as a Communion Hymn.

According to Gloria TV, the Cardinal gave his blessing for the celebration and Father Faber described it as a "worthy setting".

ACLU Continues Its Attack on the Church

It's not just an attack on the child abuse front, but on the abortion front, because you know that a "free society" has to have abortion. It's a sacrament to these people.

The American Civil Liberties Union is pressing a federal health agency to ensure that religiously-affiliated hospitals provide emergency reproductive care as required by federal law.

"The lives and health of pregnant women seeking medical care should be of paramount importance," expressed Brigitte Amiri, senior staff attorney with the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, in a statement Thursday. "No woman should have to worry that she will not receive the care she needs based on the affiliation of the nearest hospital."

In a letter dated Thursday, the ACLU asked the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) to investigate situations in which the lives and health of patients were jeopardized as a result of hospitals' adherence to religious doctrine, rather than medical ethics.

Gays Should Be Hanged, Says Iranian Minister

Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times has learnt.

Mohsen Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged.

President Ahmadinejad, questioned by students in New York two months ago about the executions, dodged the issue by suggesting that there were no gays in his country.

Kath.net's Exclusive Interview of Archbishop Zollitsch's Victim

Rather than finding answers and deeds in accordanced with what was agreed upon when a clerical abuse victim made his abuse known, the victim has only been lied to and slandered by the Shepherds who were supposed to protect the children.

As with other cases, like in the United States, Liberal Prelates use their positions of trust to protect clerical homosexuals, even putting them in contact with children again after they'd been credibly accused for abusing them in the first place.

Let's not forget either how this political in-fighter stabbed his colleague, Bishop Mixa, in the back by helping liberals in Augsburg to circulate information and set Bishop Mixa up for a fall back in Rome. Unfortunately, Pope Benedict is sending Bishop Mixa to the minor leagues, but we predict he will be back.

But I Hope the Suffering I Experienced Was Not Pointless

Linz (kath.net)

N.N. was abused many times forty years ago by a priest of the Catholic Church -- Now he has made a complaint in Rome against the perpetrator and against Archbishop Zollitsch -- N.N. in an exclusive Kath.Net exclusive interview about his tragic story.

Kath.Net: You were repeatedly abused 40 years ago by Father G., a Catholic priest, and have also already spoken to the media. What has happened since these media reports?

N. N.: After my revelations in 2006 as 2010 nothing I know of happened. Neither the Archdiocese of Freiburg nor the Mehrerau Abbey have initiated criminal or law procedures yet against the priest's Office, so he continue had dealing with children and young people. This was an intolerable state for me so I had to ask the offender to resign in March of this year. Although I several times asked them to do so, Freiburg and Mehrerau has searched previously not actively other victims and witnesses, how it has acted for example, the Diocese of Basel immediately after becoming aware thereof. Basel has responded exemplarily, and even researched victims found who'll come forward.

Fribourg has also failed to understand the life cycle of the author of these attacks. Tedious, I had to take the facts together. Many questions remained concerning the Diocese of Freiburg and the Mehrerau Abbey of the supposedly sequestered offender or to the old Abbot Kassian Lauterer remained unanswered until today with the interview (interrogation) of the offender . Abbot Anselm claimed that he had made a means message with regard to the offender, he won't give details. Now he announces forced to conduct internal investigations, the results announced but before conclusion of the investigation: Neither Abbot Kassian Lauterer nor Archbishop Zollitsch are guilty in this affair.

Kath.NET: The culprit in 2006 confirmed your accusations. How important was it for you?

N.N.: The former abbot Kassian has forwarded a letter from me to the offender and this has given me the fact in writing at the 9.12.2006. That was very important for me and for that I must be grateful to the offender, I had replaced the incidents for forty years. I wanted to a personal discussion with the offender. In the following call to a phone appointment with Father G. had credibility and he tried to make excuses till I could no longer take his excuses. This man is ill and you would have to save yourself much foer both him and me, if those responsible 1968, 1971, 1987, 1992, 2006, or even 2010 -- had acted differently also as regards their fiduciary duty.

Kath.Net: in connection with the abuse you Mehrerau Abbey and the Archdiocese of Freiburg you're accusing now that they had known of the abusing offenders and still employed them. You have made even a criminal complaint against Archbishop Zollitsch. Why?

N.N.: The criminal charges against Archbishop Zollitsch were several reasons. On one I got the message to the March, 19 2010 from the Diocese of Chur, the offender was sequestered and anonymous. It remains open whether he will withdraw the procedure or the Church keeps him hidden, perhaps to to prevent the full extent being known. In various interviews and press releases and websites, Freiburg made several wrong, misleading and defamatory statements. Requests for correction came to Freiburg nor as a call to the reply - it was the only course remaining to me. Therefore I have filed criminal charges of defamation against the persons responsible for the Archdiocese.

Because Freiburg on the other hand even played a questionable role in the restoration of the offender in 1987 and tried to hide facts, remained even idle, contains incorrect information in Birnau, I have complaint also suspected of complicity to the abuse or aid / omission mentioned against the risk of the limitation period. The proceeding also interrupts the statute of limitations.

Unfortunately, alleged statements made by me have been spread then in many press releases, which I never made. Only when I was confronted this, have I given more content of the complaint so I will be quoted correctly. I've been accused of sensationalism by the Archdiocese. Although Freiburg knew the exact contents of the complaint, they responded to the press allegations instead. [This is par for the course and reminds us of the interference and stonewalling engaged in by liberal prelates in the United States like Cardinal Mahony, Cardinal Bernardin and Archbishop Weakland]

"A reproach is including specifically": thus Dr. Zollitsch took 1987–1992 gross negligence in purchase, a priest known as pädokriminell comes in his diocese with the churches in its responsibility children in contact. (..) Dr. Zollitsch has helped thus taken and actively a gross risk of the parish in order to affect victims and witnesses by the mere unbehelligte presence of the offender. "

Freiburg and Mehrerau tried only to withdraw to the Christian religious law of non-responsibility of the offender in Birnau even though they know that my allegations of responsibility for the parishes Nußdorf and Deisendorf are addressed. We victims (myself are now three more known by name) and their families were not members of Mehrerau Abbey, but the Archdiocese of Freiburg as inhabitants if Nußdorf.

Kath.Net: the Archdiocese of Freiburg you accuse also, it has deliberately spread untruth relating to your case. What are you accusing the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of here?

N.N: Freiburg represents itself in untrue statements, presenting misleading facts and manipulating facts in attempts to discredit me as a victim. Fribourg has deceived me in 2006 in a telephone conversation, that they would examine the facts, instead it was only "the Abbot agreed." Fribourg has provided false information regarding the stay and the activities of the offender in the Archdiocese of Freiburg. It is said there was the debate with the offender, I call for such a debate for several weeks – in vain. It is said you have offered me help. Until today I have offered little concrete help despite getting demands. I only made an offer to call. Contrary to what was otherwise said I was ready to ask but then experienced a loss of legal assistance or mediator for the interview. Just because it has not been granted me, there was no debate - Freiburg and the Abbot of Mehrerau which can afford the luxury of a crisis management agency. [He doesn't answer the question, but these points are all too familiar.]

Kath.Net: Abbot Anselm of Mehrerau Abbey has defended Archbishop Zollitsch after the revelation of the incident, explaining Zollitsch to have known nothing and had not made use of the paedophile priest. What do you say to that?

N.N.: This accusation occurs as mentioned by me. As Archbishop Zollitsch knew the true content of the complaint (legal), he could have said simply that he is not accused of me. Instead he tried such opinions to create a false impression and distract from the actual - also moral - responsibility. The opinion by Abbot Anselm relates solely to Birnau and the Teutonic Knights legal jurisdiction. Abbot Anselm ignores the actual charge, responsible for the pastoral care and the parishes Nußdorf and Deisendorf.

Kath.Net: before a few days have now in Rome filed suit against the abuse priests but also against Archbishop Zollitsch and Abbot Anselm of Mehrerau Abbey. What is the aim of this action or what would you do?

N.N: I was assuming that such a procedure had been initiated in 2006 by the authorities. Because this was not done I had requested such a procedure at the official of the Archdiocese of Freiburg middle of April 2010, and got the message that I could not initiate such a procedure and that the Abbot and the current place of residence of the priest should contact my competent Bishop. Which was not possible because the offender is seculded and his place of residence was not named for me by the Church. Therefore I have filed a complaint to the Vatican.

My allegations against the Archdiocese of Freiburg and Archbishop Zollitsch are shown as also in the criminal complaint. Also Zollitsch has violated as Archbishop in 2006 in my view since until today he has repeatedly and continued against his own guidelines adopted in 2002. He is no longer credible because he does not follow what he promises in his speeches and is damaging to the reputation of the Church.

Abbot Kassian I accuse further offset the priest despite knowledge of pederastic criminals' predicate offences for decades and came in continued contact with children and young people and only allowed further crimes. He has also since 2006 done nothing and concealed the true extent from me.

Kath.Net: how close is your current relationship with the Catholic Church?

N.N.: My relation was distant in the last years, and that's how I feel after what I had to experience the last 20 weeks, anger, hatred, powerlessness, despair, frustration and disappointment. Even "beautiful things" like my favorite opera Parsifal in which I am confronted with religious motives, burden on me and I can no longer enjoy the Church, above all Archbishop Dr. Zollisch and Abbot Anselm, are still unbelievable for me. The fine words of enlightenment will, change and aid for the victims are in sharp contrast to the experience: I feel powerless again, helpless, abused. I have but also sporadically receive encouragement and assistance from the Catholic Church. I had the impression that I am taken seriously by the Diocese of Basel.

Kath.Net: keeping it possible that you someday really that can handle these terrible events in your childhood, find inner peace and what should the offender or the Church do to to help you here?

N.N.: What happened cannot be undone. I hope that the suffering I experienced at that time and today was not futile, not pointless. The offender, the participants of the Church must provide the truth and their criminal, seat and also moral responsibility. When really a reorientation in the Church, but also in society and family, away from off looking to HIN looking when victims are no longer as an outsider, troublemakers of often hypocritical community branded, I hope to find peace.

Kath.NET: Can you really by thinking you will forgive the offender today day from your deepest heart?

N.N.: I can say today that I must first know the whole truth. From the offender. I call for the debate with him for weeks. However, the offender is not reachable.

Kath.Net: thank you very much for the interview!

Traditional Priest Assualted in Fulda, Germany

German. [kreuz.net] Last Friday in the night a Fulda Priest Aloysius Winter (78) was assaulted in his home. The suspect left the priest tied up in his bedroom and ran away. Nothing was stolen. A parishioner noticed in the morning, that the priest was not at Mass and alerted police. Since an emergency operation, Fr. Winter is in a coma. He is very hovering close to death.

Father Winter is the former Rector of the Theological faculty in Fulda and began in 2003 with the authorization of the Bishop of Fulda, Msg Heinz Joseph Algermissen to celebrate the Immemorial Mass of All Ages.

Homosexual Jailed For Abusing Young Men in Australia

The ABC article takes a jab at celibacy and wonders why the Catholic Church didn't do anything sooner. Moreover it fails to mention that this man was a homosexual. These ACLU, Progressive types don't care about child-abuse, they will reach for the closest weapon, the most convenient one with which to beat the Catholic Church. Never lose sight of that. Of course, this happened on Cardinal Pell's watch.

Modernist Benedictines Continue to Die Without Replacements

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. — Sister Mary David Olheiser and Sister Helenette Baltes professed their vows together in 1936 as two of the 21 new sisters to join the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict that year. At the time, their central Minnesota Roman Catholic monastery was overflowing with youth and energy.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Sister Mary David Olheiser, 92, and Sister Helenette Baltes, 94, were reunited after 62 years. Sixty-two years later, the classmates and old friends are together again. St. Benedict is taking St. Bede back into its fold. The smaller group is facing demographic realities by closing its Wisconsin monastery and moving 29 remaining sisters back to Minnesota.

"It's just a blessing," said Baltes, 94, of her reunion with the 92-year-old Olheiser.

The Anti-Federalists, the Oil Spill, and the Catholic Church

There are lessons of wisdom to be found in every folly, however painful the extraction. The ongoing, almost comic bungling efforts and non-efforts of the federal government dealing with the oil spill in the gulf is no exception. The most important political lesson is both conservative and Catholic.

The conservative lesson? When dealing with a local problem, a strong national government will invariably act for its own self-preservation, push its own national agenda, and entangle the hapless locals in its own morass of bureaucratic confusion. Insofar as possible, let the local folk do it. They're the best judges of their own particular situation.

For conservatives, this is the wisdom of the Anti-Federalists, those forgotten founders of America who best understood the dangers of increasing federal power at the expense of state and local government. The Anti-Federalists were the stubborn conservative folk who allowed for ratification of the Constitution only if there were a strong Bill of Rights to protect state and local life against encroachments of the federal government.

Not a Good Choice: Basel Should Get a Good Bishop Out of This

Pope Benedict XVI has chosen Bishop Koch for the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, replacing another German speaking Archbishop. A lot has been said about this appointment that portrays the new office holder as a good choice, but it's hard to see how this could be the case since many of his public acts and statements put him so squarely against the incipient reform Benedict XVI is said to be accomplishing.

Father Z says this is a good appointment (and perhaps it is), but he certainly isn't as he says, "Another man closely tied to Pope Benedict" which seems to have been something else when we looked at it earlier today, something more affirmative and less neutral... Perhaps Father Z corrected himself, or we misread the blog, wait, here it is,

Archbishop Koch is known to be in the theological orbit of Papa Ratzinger.

Known by whom? It seems apparent to everyone, including the embatteld orthodox priests of the Basel Diocese that this man will not be missed and is in no way in the theological orbit of Pope Benedict, that is, if we assume that Pope Benedict is a restorer of Tradition. In any event, Kreuz.net tells a different, more interesting, tale. These sorts of appraisals in the English speaking world seem to happen frequently. It certainly happened in the case of the allegedly conservative Cardinal Schonborn. We've noticed that many of his supporters have grown silent.

What's more than clear is that there are appointments which are unsatisfactory to conservatives, and there are those appointments unsatisfactory to the old liberal Catholics, Catholics who believe the Church needs to change with the times. Is this Pope Benedict's way to isolate an absentee Bishop with controversial theological positions by promoting him to an increasingly irrelevant position?

Perhaps this is an effective downgrade for the Pontifical Council?

So the tragic praxis will continue in Rome, to perpetuate a betrayal of trust against the Holy Father.

Msgr Koch worked at first as a Pastoral Lay Assistant in spiritual care.

After his ordination in June 1982 he later received a doctorate for Dogmatic and Moral theology from the Catechetical Institute in the central Swiss city of Luzern.

Later he was active as the old liberal honorary professor for Dogmatics, Ethics, Liturgical Science and Ecumenical Theology at the University of Luzern.

In his lectures he portrayed the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in the fundamentalist corner because of his theological positions.

In 1995 Msgr Koch was selected as the successor of the fallen Basel Bishop Hansjörg Vogel. Because of his contentious theological positions the Vatican hesitated a long time with the announcement of his appointment.

Bishop Koch set himself in the Swiss Bishops Conference against the course of reform of the former Bishop of Chur, Msgr Wolfgang Haas.

Msgr. Koch is till today a partisan of women priesthood. He is a declared enemy of celibacy.

In the last fifteen years he was hardly interested in his bankrupt Diocese and not first among these his orthodox priests, who were completely isolated there.

Instead of that he was gladly occupied in the lecture circuit.

In the Diocese of Basel the following title is circulating for the information by the Roman authorities about Msgr Koch: "Old Liberal Alcoholic Follows Cardinal Kasper".

The next Bishop of Basel will have a very difficult inheritance.

In a letter to all Ministers, which was sent by mail today, writes Bishop Koch, that his Diocese is already vacant on July 1st and he would be called to Rome.

The Pope appointed an Apostolic Administrator to the Diocese of Basel at the same time on June 30th

Bishop Trautman Endorses the Primacy of Personal Sentiment and Continues to Attack Legitimate Reform

Bishop Trautman reminesces about how wonderful it was to be at the Vatican Council and how much it embodied his vision for the Church. Considering the many things Bishop Trautman believes, contrary to Catholic teaching and practice, perhaps this isn't exactly a ringing endsorsement for Vatican II, but rather a condemnation.

The people who are fighting to go back to Latin, for example, had a wonderful experience when Mass was in that language. They're saying they met the Lord that way, and they're trying to keep that form, not understanding that the form and language of the liturgy is never an absolute. Only God is absolute, and there are different ways we express our love and our prayer.

New Swiss Bishop Head of Christian Unity

Vatican City, Jun 30, 2010 / 12:48 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- Speaking with journalists at the Holy See's Press Office on Wednesday, Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi, said that more nominations can be expected to follow Wednesday's bombardment of resignations and appointments to different positions within the Church's Roman Curia.

Wednesday's flood of appointments included Cardinal Marc Ouellet being announced as the new prefect of the Congregation for Bishops and the naming of Archbishop Rino Fisichella as head of the just created Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization.

The Vatican's "voice" said that he expects the appointment of Swiss Bishop of Basel, Kurt Koch to the presidency of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity to happen on Thursday as he mentioned had been indicated within the Vatican previously.

Bishop Cupich is New Bishop of Spokane: Writes for America Magazine

It's not perhaps as timely as what's in AmPapist, but we know that the new Bishop of Spokane, Cupich, wrote an article for America Magazine on the 12 things he supposedly learned from the sex abuse crisis. There's not a single word about doctrinal orthodoxy. Since most of the perpetrators are doctinally heterodox, wouldn't it be a good idea to make sure that priests are properly formed before you ordain them. Perhaps being serious about the Church's canonical rules against ordaining homosexuals.

When he was bishop in Nebraska he discontinued Eucharistic Adoration.

Yet Another Modernist Priest Charged with Sexual Abuse in Boston: Thank you Cardinal Sean!

The gay friendly program which Bishops of the USCCB inaugurated called, "Talking About Touching" has scored another victory. It might help protect the Bishops from legal action and undesirable media attention in the future which might question what they've done to prevent abuse, but clearly, it doesn't stop heresy and it also doesn't stop abuse from happening when it occurs. In fact, it can be argued that it is a form of abuse in itself in that it challenges the right of parents to educate their children, does not teach Catholic sexual morality and robs children of their innocence.

Carol McKinley reports that Father Boutin from the Boston Archdiocese was arrested for assault at Canton Park, known as a homosexual meeting place. Father Boutin is an advocate of women's ordination, reads America Magazine, likes "Praise and Worship", moreover, he's a priest of Cardinal Sean who is turning out to be a Cardinal Mahony of the East.

The Church Will be Pilloried: Belgium

Editor's Comment: Considering the growing strangeness of the atmosphere, the rebelliousness of the Austrian Clergy, there are some other dark clouds. Many are crying for blood and are willing to strike down laws to get at the institution they are increasingly mischaracterizing as evil.

Freemasons -- against the Church?

The battle surrounding the police raids against the Church in Belgium is more heated -- Christian Democrats: The searches could be a masonic plot. The current investigating judge Wim De Troy is close with the leading freethinkers.

Brussels [Kath.net/KNA] In Belgium the director of the independent commission for the investigation of the abuse accusations by church employees, Peter Adriaenssens, was interviewed for five hours long by the judiciary. The child psychiatrist is a witness for the work of the commission and the dossiers under examination, reported the Belgian media on Tuesday. Further discussions will follow this week. The commission had decided to offer their resignations against the progress of the authorities. In the confiscation of the dossiers of abuse victims the members saw a breach of trust.

In the mean time, the battle over the reasonableness of the progress of judiciary on its major raid against Church property was very sharp on Tuesday. Abuse victims held the searches and seizures irresponsible. Liberal and Socialist politicians secured themselves against critics from the Vatican.

In broadcaster "Radio 1" the sociologist Jan Hertogen (63) who was abused as a young man maintains that the authorities have compromised data privacy and laws regarding personal privacy. He has brought his case to the knowledge of the commission, but did not want in any way the engagement of the judiciary. He made his complaints against the Adriaenssens-Commission, because they had not exactly protected his documents. He hopes to persuade the commission, in their own part, to proceed against the judiciary authorities.

The Flemmish Minister Jo Vanderuzen warned of a loss of trust by the victims. They had the choice, to turn to the judiciary or not. This decision must be condemned. Church authorities are exploring at the moment legal steps against the police action.

The liberal politician Denis Ducarme and the scholastically aligned Bruno Tuybens called the Foreign Minister Steven Vanackere, to demand [verlangen] respect from the Vatican for the political and legal institutions of the land. They reacted with that to the sharp criticism from the Vatican to the actions of the authorities. Vanackere dismissed the notion that he had invited the Nuncio, Archbishop Giacinto Berloco, personally to an "oopen and constructive conversation".

The attorney of Cardinal Godfried Danneels, Fernand Keuleneer, expressed doubt on the legality of the raid. It is not admissible to indiscriminately confiscate dossiers and then initially to ascertain after if they contain any incriminating documents, he said to "The Antwerp Gazette". The house searches have awakened the impression, that the Church will be pilloried.

Editor's Note: If this had been in the United States happening to just about any other organization, there would be an outcrry about the absolute absence of due process. Could this be a way for Cardinal Daneels to walk away without taking responsibillity for destroying the Church of Belgium through years of neglect and cooperation with evil? Of course, it isn't an accident that Belgium is about
to divide itself in parts.

The Eroticism of the Church of England

There are really two Church of Englands. One is found in the headlines, and features women bishops and the privileges of establishment. The other is found on the streets, and features a flotilla of clergy, in parishes across the land, attempting to care, to preserve, to bless. If you ever go to church, it is striking how little the one has to do with the other. But it's this difference that BBC 2's new sitcom, Rev, appears to have realised and exploited to witty, and moving, effect.

Tom Hollander plays Adam Smallbone, new to a mixed London parish. And although the press previews wrote about the storyline in the first episode that concerned "school whores" – parents who appear in church to get little Sebastian or Sophie into the local church school – the element that struck me when I watched on Monday was the eroticism associated with priests.

Sex, and sexuality, featured a lot. There's the woman in the congregation who is rumoured to orgasm during good sermons. There's the slippery, local MP who imagines that Smallbone has women chasing him all the time. And then there's Smallbone's wife. When he comes on to her, at the end of the day, she retorts: "If you think you're going to shag me in your dog collar…", and advises him to go next door and bash the bishop

Another Reflection on Poll Data: Sweden's Monarchy

This Norwegian Monarchist has identified something about polls, especially when it comes to Monarchy. There are a lot of them and they often contradict each other, and more often than not, although this is not what the blogger maintains himself, they espouse hostillity to the Monarchy.

Cardinal Schönborn Buries Pornographer

The late Hans Dichant, editor of the street-magazine, 'The Crowns Times' [Die Kronen Zeitung] was known for his docility to the Cardinal's concerns, and the Cardinal praised his paper for being "friendly" to the Church in Austria, but little to no mention of the pornographic adds there, or indeed, the support Dichant gave to the late hyper-nationalist and Freemason, Jörg Haider. [Ewald Stadler maintains as much in 2007 in his lecture on Masonry in Linz.]

This is especially interesting in light of the Cardinal's high level meeting with the Holy Father, the Secretary of State and Dean of the College of Cardinals. Mercifully, Whispers in the Loggia mentioned Cardinal Schoenborn's pro-homosexual statement, which he wasn't required to retract, apparently, here, that the Church:

"should give more consideration to the quality of homosexual relationships," and that "a stable [same-sex] relationship is certainly better than if someone chooses to be promiscuous."

Father Z, here.

Here's what Kreuz.net had to say:

A Pious Work

When the the powerful die, everyone is there: The Viennese Cardinal has commended to God the dead promoter of depraved Porn and Prostitution Publications throughout the Land.

[Kreuz.net] On Saturday the Viennese Archbishop, Christoph Cardinal Schönborn, celebrated the Requiem for Hans Dichant (89).

The deceased was the editor and owner of boulevard paper "Crowns Times" [Die Kronen Zeitung].

With a circulation of over 800,000 sales it is an example of the most widely read newspapers in the land.

Cardinal Schönborn wrote for the turn style paper regularly and vacuous Sunday meditations.

Those close to the deceased took their place in the foremost rows of the St. Stephen's Cathedral which was separated from the rest of the church by a cord.

There was a strict ban on photography and film.

Only the photojournalists of the 'Crowns Times' [Die Kronen Zeitung] were allowed to light up the area of the ceremony.

The rest of the journalists had to be satisfied with seats way in the back.

The entire decadent Austrian politically prominent found themselves at the beginning as "honored guests".

Absent were the members of the anti-Church "Green" extremists and the officially fallen from catholicism, President Comrade Heinz Fischer.

Cardinal Schoenborn found positive words for the deceased as was generally expected.

The super-rich Dichant is said "to have been for the generation of Charity and Service".

It had been "not self-evident", that he found room for the Gospel in his porno and prostitution paper.

"He burned through the rest of the pages of the paper" -- the Cardinal let himself tear out an embarrassing comment.

He seemed not to care if he was ridiculed

After the death of "his employer" Cardinal Schoenborn had pulled together the heads of some jounrnalists, "in which he ostentatiously evaluated the positive role of the "Kronen Times' as if it belonged to media sanctity."

This was Michael Fleischhacker of the anti-Church paper 'Die Presse' on Sunday in a commentary:

"That he wrote in a paper, which as part of its profits as the largest broker between prostitutes and their customers, bothered the Cardinal only decidedly less than the civilized critique of his thesis for "Intelligent Design", which he heard about in some of the media.

For the Cardinal the Homo Sapiens was not just the end product of a Godless effect of random evolutionary processes, rather the crown of creation -- Fleischhacker correctly summarized:

"The Homo austriacus emerged, and was really completely without intelligent design, much more so the Creature of the 'Krone'."

At the burial service Fleischhacker found countless advocates for this marriage, especially among the attending politicians: "accommodating, soberly ascetic, resistant to truth."

Dichand had "fashioned" these human types "with power, grown great in affection and put on back on the right way by the withdrawal of love."

Fleschhacker understands: "That they are gathered at this religious service, in order to bid farewell to the man in a religious framework, who has made them, what they are, it is not for them to bring reproach."

At the same time the journalist weighs illusions: "It would nevertheless be ripe for such a thing as evolution in Austria now."

He added: "Perhaps the Viennese Cardinal can leave this to the subject of his beliefs on creation. At least it would be a pious work."

ACLU Operative Wins SIgnificant Legal Victory Against Catholic Church

Jeffrey Anderson is a vulgar ex-Lutheran who finds that eastern mysticism "speaks" to him. He meditates. He's also a significant contributor to the ACLU and the Democratic Party.

He's frequently said that he wants to put Pope Benedict on the stand, but the thing that keeps on getting missed is the confluence of interests he has with liberal priests and Bishops like Cardinal Schoenborn within the Catholic Church, and 500 of his priests who want a church more to their own making rather than the one which has been passed down to us through the Apostles.

He's an advocate for sweeping away what he calls "Medieval Secrecy", and the male domininated hierarchy.

The irony of all of this is, despite Jeff Anderson's appropriation of the semitic victim myth is the clear resemblance his legal attacks share with Goebels attempts to destroy Catholic education in Germany.
