Church Militant 2.0 or The Pink Sheepdog?

A dozen years ago people were crushed when they learned that the TV priest  and thunderhead Fr. John Corapi was a fraud.  They thought he was the ultimate prodigal son who had gone from fast cars, hookers, and coke to being ordained by John Paul the Great.  He was an invincible man who had parachuted into swamps and fought alligators with his bare hands.  He loved to ride motorcycles and bow hunt for grizzlies.  Along the way, he would tickle your ears with stories of corruption in the Church and the lack of masculinity in the clergy.  Predictably, he held that the Elder Brothers maintained their own covenant with God.  It would come to light that fast women and easy money never lost their grip on him and so, he left the priesthood.  Unable to step away from the limelight, he attempted to re-cast himself as The Black Sheepdog.  He would no longer be content to restrict himself to Catholic audiences.   He was broadening his scope to take on the pressing political issues of the day.    The enterprise quickly became a flop.

It would take two outings of Gary Michael Voris to make him go away.  One six years ago, the last six months ago.  And, like Corapi, they both have their stalwart defenders.  Financial malfeasance and the lure of sodomy and slander would be the cause of this second fall.   But, rather than sign up for one of Milo's conversion therapy courses, he headed down to Houston and started up a new apostolate.  Again, this endeavor doesn't confine itself to his co-religionists.   E.g: he speaks freely about "christians" when in the past, he only spoke of Catholics.  The website is much more politically oriented than Church Militant was.

Voris' extracurricular dalliances were not a secret to many.  He was reported to have been seen leaving gay bars and even going to Mass with his old "husband."  But, it took topless photos sent around the studio for the staff to say:  Basta!   Was he flirting with the young men who joined his Pause Program after he was outed for first time?  Or, was he trying to privately impress Bishop Barron while publicly castigating him for not being manly enough?

The parallels between in Corapi and Voris are too numerous for a single blog post.  In the waning days of their popularity, each would transform their appearance for the camera.  For Corapi, this meant shaving his head and dying his beard like Anton LaVey.  For Voris, there was always a new color toupee.

Watch out for those commie bastards!

Bishop Schneider Calls Out the Rabid and Unjust Aberrosexual, Voris

[Gloria.tvBishop Athanasius Schneider commented on the fact that “from various sides,” the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) has been made a target of attacks in connection with cases of sexual abuse (LifeSiteNews.com, December 3).

In fact, it is only one side/website which attacks the SSPX, i.e., ChurchMilitant.com while constantly complaing that no Catholic website is jumping on that bandwagon.

[reading ChurchMilitant.com] Schneider received the impression as if the SPPX were "the only Catholic religious organisation which had to respond to such accusations.” Schneider also notices that it cannot be dismissed that some of the accusations [by ChurchMilitant.com] were conducted "in a biased manner.”

He underlines that in all dioceses and religious communities around the world there are shortcomings in investigating cases of homosexual abuse, maybe to the same or to a greater extent, and he warns [ChurchMilitant.com] that one cannot hold the SSPX responsible for crimes which members or employees committed AFTER they parted company with the group or were dismissed.

In this logic, Schneider explains, the Augustinian order would be responsible for the anti-Semitic statements of Martin Luther, their former member. [Of course, these kinds of statements are as unhelpful as they are absurd.]

Gary Voris is a Twit

Many will recall that when Gary the Fairy went public with his aberrosexual history, he appeared to be doing so to get out in front of the release of that news by the Archdiocese of New York.   Sources he never revealed told him the archdiocese was about to do this and he just had to come clean.  Up until that time, he had his staff continuously expunging comments alluding to his past on the Real Catholic TV website.  The task was quite onerous.  But, it was all an open secret among those he had shared his much touted career in secular news reporting.   Many will also remember his reticence immediately prior to the announcement and for several days afterwards.  When he did appear, he was visibly shaken and it looked like the effects of HIV had intensified.  Former fans and donors thought he would never rebound.

For weeks prior, he had been hitting Dolan and the Archdiocese hard; on a daily basis.  There was a lot of merit in what he was doing and they had it coming.  Still, the motives seemed very vindictive and personal.   It was all out of proportion during a time he  would brook no criticism of Francis.  Still, the idea that New York was about to do him in was a paranoid delusion.  He wasn't on the radar at 454 Madison, and up the road at the insular Dunwhoopie, few had ever heard of him.  Gary just wasn't as famous or infamous as he had fantasized.  No, it was his past that was doggedly pursuing him.

Now, he has unleashed himself upon the SSPX.  He seems driven by a rage not unlike the one we witnessed four years ago.  What is driving him?   I, for one, would be happy to find out that the SSPX is sitting on something very embarrassing to him.  But, then I realize, he has no shame.

The motives of his sidekick and erstwhile stalker Budgie Niles are equally suspect.

Voris Lies About His Opus Dei Backing

Edit: Michael Voris doesn't like it very much when the Spotlight is aimed in his direction as he's caught in a lie by OTSOTA on Twitter.

Is Voris Helping to Slyly Endorse Pederasty and Shield Abusers in Interview with Milo Yiannopoulos?

Edit: it would be interesting to see how the Adult film maker, Michael Voris addresses Milo's endorsement of pederasty.  Voris is so smitten with Milo, he gives him a pass on the pederasty.

Could it be just a bad editorial choice, or is it that Voris is trying to slyly promote degeneracy,  but still, isn't child sexual abuse the line you wouldn't want to cross?  Milo clearly crosses it in an Interview with the Drunken Peasants, but he also does it at Rogan (Which is a linguistic cesspool, but also touches briefly on Hollywood's aberrosexual pederast problem.)  Why didn't Voris encourage Milo to out his abuser? What do you expect from a man who contracted a gay marriage and continuously refers to his "black husband"?

Lust darkens the mind and makes these important distinctions hard to see and E. Michael Jones was certainly onto something here...  Milo gives his explanation for his glib comments about sex-abuse and support of pederasty at 7:00.

It's interesting to look at the comment section of all the naive fans of CM who are willing to give him a pass.

It Is Completely Unethical To Accuse The SSPX of Being Pederasts When No ONE Has Been Indicted!

Edit: Christine Niles has a habit of engaging in shoddy reporting especially when she wants to let loose her hostility to the SSPX, as was the case with Father McLucas whom she accused of being a sexual predator.  It's not just unethical to do what CM is doing, it's legally perilous and deeply imprudent.  Is this the best Opus Dei can do?

Even Holy Skojec isn't on board with this. AMDG

Will Church Militant Be Litigated and Legislated Out of Existence After This Amateurish Hack Job?

On April 22, 2020, the website Church Militant published a story against the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) with the inflammatory title, “SSPX—Sympathetic to Perverts.” The story, among other things, purports to expose a culture of coverups regarding sexual abuse and immorality within the Society. This is false, and the SSPX calls on Church Militant to withdraw this slanderous piece of yellow journalism.  ~ US District of the Society of Saint Pius X

Edit:  In a last-ditch gambit to capture the kind of hoopla against the Catholic Church incited by the Boston Globe's hit piece against the Catholic Church, SPOTLIGHT, Michael Voris' Church Militant and ,Christine Niles, are on the attack against hated Society of Saint Pius X. (We note there really isn't a similar expose forthcoming against the Democratic Party and the Educational-Media Complex, exposing the profound connections existing between the US political system and progressive elites in Catholic circles by either Voris or the Globe, but this is all a diversion.)  After watching Frank Walker's video last night, and noticing Voris' histrionic gay meltdown  on Canon212, it seemed opportune to take note of some things.

The Society of Saint Pius X has responded. Just for the record, especially since it seems people are confused on this point, the Society has publicly admitted that it has had problems with gay sex predators in its ranks and had even been consulting with the CDF to address the problem.  I'm sure some of us remember Father Carlos Urrutigoity.  As recently as 2018, we helped air a story by Swedish TV involving two priests who'd been dismissed from the Society and who had found refuge  with Bishop Williamson's "SSPX Resistance".  So no, the entire SSPX does not promote and defend Sex Abuse as Niles and Voris would have it.

This is a real loser for CM TV. We've always defended Michael and to a lesser extent Christine in the past, but we will enjoy watching them be sued for libel, as Comrade Stalin asks on twitter:

We once thought Michael Voris was generally above these kinds of tactics, but this is beyond the pale and demonstrates what I found hard to hear from E. Michael Jones in the past, that Michael Voris' sexual predilection leads him to make very bad decisions.   It's especially disgusting that he's teaming up with self-promoting narcissist, "Holy Rod" Dreher, as Canon212 calls him.

Interestingly, we've been reminded of Randy Engel's piece on Voris and revisit it here.  It's also critical of E. Michael Jones and all roads lead back to Opus Dei. And Chris Ferrara on Voris' tizzy, here.   Is there a civil war in OD?

Then there's this piece which addresses Voris' 180 degree turn on behalf of Opus Dei, here by Doctor John Smythe.

Catholic Family News.

As if the timing weren't perfect enough, Bergoglio is building consensus to shut down the Universal Indult (Which plays into the notion that the Society will be the purveyor of Tradition under Francis, btw.)

Fabulous Media Priest Libels Church Militant — Voris Threatens Legal Action

Edit: Fancy priest, Larry Richards, accused Church Militant of threatening to kill him at a Legatus Conference for Catholic businessmen.

Someone should tell Father Richards that while accusing people of wanting to kill you might be campy drama, it might also be actionable.

Father Larry Richards has a lot of emotional issues.
Note if you will Richard’s  histrionicism and narcissism. Note his support of the evilness James Martin. We.wonder if Father Larry’s aberrosexual propensities would have been noticeable when he went into seminary. Shouldn’t a priest like this be liable to some kind of retroactive process of laicisation?

I suppose this is hard to define, but just how do you tell what “homosexual tendencies” are, and then, in what degree and number would they prohibit someone from entering the clerical state? If we were to take this document seriously, Father Richards and a host of other clergy, especially senior clergy, wouldn’t have made it into seminary. From CONGREGATION FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION: Instruction Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocations with regard to Persons with Homosexual Tendencies in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders

In the light of such teaching, this Dicastery, in accord with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, believes it necessary to state clearly that the Church, while profoundly respecting the persons in question, cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practise homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"

New York Archdiocese Commits Sin of Calumny Against Journalist

Edit: they're so incredibly dirty and evil, but they are believed to be good by millions of more or less decent people.

We've always thought highly of Voris' work, even if he does borrow liberally from us.

TRANSCRIPT

If you have children around, you may want to view this first before them.

As you probably know, the apostolate has been somewhat silent this week publicly.  That’s because a situation has developed that I must fill you in on. It involves the sins of my past life all committed prior to my reversion to the Catholic faith. We have on very good authority from various sources that the New York archdiocese is collecting and preparing to quietly filter out details of my past life with the aim of publicly discrediting me, this apostolate and the work here.

I have never made a secret that my life prior to my reversion was extremely sinful. I have said many times — in public — that I was in a state of mortal sin, and had I died, I would have been damned. I also revealed these sins were of a sexual nature and that they occurred over a prolonged period of time. I did not reveal the specific nature or details of the sins, because when I returned home to the Church, I did not think that a full public confession of details was necessary in order to start proclaiming the great mercy of God.

Perhaps that was a wrong assessment. I don't seriously know. Perhaps along these years I should have been revealing of greater detail. That, I now think so, but more on that in a moment.

Voris Assaulted by Aberro-Grandmarshal's Goons at "St. Patrick's Day" Parade

Edit: we can just imagine Cardinal Dolan drawing a forefinger across his neck and motioning his lavender thugs to usher Catholic journalist Michael Voris out of the press room.

More to come.

Once Apologetics Was an Honorable Pursuit

This is what a Catholic
Apologist Looks Like
Edit: Once upon a time lay apologetics was somewhat respectable. There were men of the stature of Joseph de Maistre, the sincere convert Orestes Brownson in the 19th century, and in the 20th century there were some lesser lights, but there was much volume, if not actual brilliance. Then we have those who have attempted to fill, or have been nominated by someone to fill, their shoes.

So, after being treated graciously by Michael Voris.  (Voris even recommends Shea's books, which is something we'd never do)  Shea goes on in his slandering, lying, dishonorable habitude.  This man just can't help but lie:

(Mark Shea): "Bah. Voris attempted to complain that prayer, fasting, almgiving and the works of mercy were "too vague" (and here he got in the sneer "like Vatican II"). Precisely my difficulty here is that so much of what he does is not admonishing sinners. It is expressing rage and often (as last niight) accusing innocent people like Fr. Robert Barron of being sinners and ginning up a mob against them. Poison."

1. Voris never says prayer, fasting and almsgiving is too vague.  This is yet another lie from Shea.

Also, Voris doesn't sneer at Vatican II, he might disagree with many of the interpretations employed by evil Lefty academics, but agree or not, Voris accepts the documents of Vatican II as a valid act of the Church.

2. Notice how Shea doesn't really discuss Voris' very legitimate criticism of Father Barron. Our guess is that Shea is incapable of addressing the problem because he's not only an intellectual lightweight, but also unwilling to admit he's wrong, and so resorts to making personal attacks on Voris.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of low information Catholics who hang on Shea's word.  It doesn't matter if Shea is disrespectful to priests, as he often is, directing his rather voluminous quantities of digestive fluid on them or whether he's slandering various lay Catholics, many of whom aren't traditionalist by the way.

Here's basically what Voris said about Father Barron, who is everything that's wrong with Catholic education:

Insight on Resignation of Cardinal O’Brien by Militant Catholic

Edit: don’t forget that the Scottish Cardinal was exposed by other aberrosexuals among his priests, who were apparently outraged by the otherwise Old Liberal Cardinal’s statements against the evils of that sin.

These priests don’t sound like victims, they sound like willing participants who decided to discredit the Cardinal long after the fact of their interaction.  If this is the case, they should resign.

Also recall this in relation to Father Dariusz Oko’s ongoing research about a satanic lavender mafia working behind the scenes.

The Chinese Patriotic Church and the Heresy of Americanism

Edit: it’s wonderful that others are noticing and pointing out, the similarity between the Chinese Patriotic Church which is hostile to Rome, the US Catholic Bishops and the “phantom heresy” Americanism.  Americanism was called the phantom heresy, because all the Bishops in the United States told the Nuncio they didn’t have any problems with it, with a wink.

No one should doubt that the institutional hostility to Michael Voris lies primarily with the fact that he points these things out rather than that he is “uncharitable”,  “wears a toupee”,  or is “strident”.  We’ve never seen him strident and we sometimes think he’s too soft on people who’ll never give him credit for it anyway.  Really, it’s just an attempt to discredit one of the few voices in the wilderness calling attention to some serious problems in the modern Church.

It’s kind of like some of the crusaders for niceness attacking Rorate Caeli lately.  They’ve never been anything but cautious and measured.  What they reported about Pope Francis in his Diocese in Buenos Aires, among other things, was 100% true.

Ultimately, this just boils down to the official "Patriotic” Catholics attacking the Catholics who are faithful.  You can also see wedges being driving between faithful Catholics and so-called Traditionalist Catholics too, by the way.

Voris on Pope Benedict's Resignation

Edit: Pope Benedict was shocked that so many of his Bishops were resisting his will when it came to the Mass, and reforms in the Liturgy.  He asked when he was elected:

"Pray for me that I may not flee for fear of the wolves."

It surely is a mark of humility.

Micheal Voris Criticizes WYD Spain's Immodesty and Americanism

CNA will hopefully print some kind of retraction.  We'll look for it when it comes.  Here is Mr. Voris's explanation of what happened.

Here's what Voris has to say about Americanism and WYD, here.

Voris on Lies in Formerly Catholic Spain

Edit: The Communists have been accusing WYD of costing Spain too much money. However, Voris says that 140,000,000 Euros are being brought to the Spanish Economy by World Youth Day.

He just trashed same-sex marriage too. It is to be imagined that there will be shrieking and wailing over that.

Voris is Making the Right Kinds of Enemies

Classic Villains Abound

.- Michael Voris, the founder and host of RealCatholicTV, says he was completely unaware of recently discovered troubles within his organization, involving a staff apologist's sexually explicit writings, and his nonprofit corporation's loss of legal status two years ago.

“I don't know what the issue is on any of this stuff,” said Voris, who is currently in Spain promoting his unofficial “No Bull in Madrid” meetings during World Youth Day.

Voris told CNA on August 16 that he had “no idea” his nonprofit corporation St. Micheal's Media had been automatically dissolved in 2009 after failing to file records with the state for two years. An official at the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs confirmed on August 10 that Voris' nonprofit was “no longer registered and in good standing with the State of Michigan.”

Update: even Deacon's Bench and the Anchoress are defending Voris and noting the timing of the news, coinciding with WYD in Spain.  But will Mark Shea be as sympathetic and understanding? [He's said he's addressing the issue on his blog, today.] There was also an apology posted at Deacon's Bench by Voris' Staff Apologist, Simon Rafe, on his Blog:

I regret writing the things in question and I have sought forgiveness in the sacrament of reconciliation. I humbly ask forgiveness from anyone who might have read the materials and been led to sin and those who are or were scandalized by reading them or hearing that I wrote them.

Although it is clearly the case writing material which is a near occasion of sin is wrong for any person, the matter of scandal is a serious one and I realize this. I apologize for having scandalized the faithful in any regard.

I do not, under any circumstances, seek to justify what I did or avoid responsibility. I did things which were wrong. I have done all in my power to rectify them (seeking forgiveness in confession, removing the material in question so it is not available for people to read and be tempted by). I did something which was wrong, and I am solely responsible for it.

Scranton Diocese Bans Micheal Voris for Being Too Catholic: Banned in Scranton

Editor: And some people are faulting Father Corapi for questioning Corpus Christi Diocese's treatment of him? Sounds rather like a certain other someone who was "Banned in Boston" a half-century ago.

Regarding Michael Voris

Posted on: 04-7-2011 Posted in: News
The Diocese of Scranton has determined that Mr. Voris will not be allowed to speak in a Diocesan or parish facility. After these engagements were scheduled, the Diocese became aware of concerns about this individual’s views regarding other religious groups. In videos posted on the Internet, Mr. Voris makes comments that certainly can be interpreted as being insensitive to people of other faiths. The Catholic Church teaches us to respect all people, regardless of their faith tradition.

Although the Diocese shares Mr. Voris’ support of efforts to protect human life, his extreme positions on other faiths are not appropriate and therefore the Diocese cannot host him.

But if you want non-Catholic schools and blasphemous plays, Scranton Diocese is more than happy to disrespect the Catholic Faith Tradition.
