‘Time to look again’ at China Church relations

[UCANEWS] Two veteran observers of China Church affairs say it is time for Beijing and the Vatican to take stock of their relations and work out how to ease the tension caused by the recent ordination of a bishop not sanctioned by the Vatican and last week’s national congress.

The government-sanctioned National Congress of Catholic Representatives convened in Beijing on Dec. 7-9, about three weeks after the unapproved ordination in Chengde.

Violence Against Pro-Lifers in Salzburg

At a Pro-Life demonstration of "Youth For Life" in Salzburg an activist was punched out by a  Pro-Abortion fanatic and had to spend the night in the hospital.

Salzburg (kath.net) At a peaceful demonstration by the Austrian life defense group "Youth for Life" this last Saturday in Salzburg a life defender was punched.  The group broadcast this information recently.

The event, at which  Salzburg's Auxiliary Bishop Andreas Laun took part, was disturbed by a counter-demonstration.  This demonstration did not shrink from obscene and unworthy provocations like "If Mary had aborted, we would have been spared."  After the end of the chain of light, as the life defenders had left Mass at the Mullner Parish church, five members of the Youth For Life were occupied with removing torches and banners and were confronted by the pro-abortion people and assaulted.  A young life defender suffered a concussion from a punch and had to spend the night in the hospital.

Cardinal Zen Decries Chi-Com Government's Attack on the Church

(AsiaNews) The empty chair onstage in the Oslo municipal hall makes me remember the two empty chairs in the Synodal Hall, when in 1998, for the first time, I participated in the Synod of bishops: one was for Bishop Duan Ying Ming of Wan Xian, the other for his Coadjutor Bishop. Still for the Synod of two years ago, a delegation from China was not possible, because someone had insisted to include in the group an illegitimate bishop.  In the Synod of 1998 I said: "In China there is no real religious freedom." Unfortunately, last month at the Consistory of November 19, I had to give the same bad news to my brethren Cardinals: "In China there is still no religious freedom."

Pope meets with Japanese bishops to discuss Neocatechumenal Way

By Carol Glatz
Catholic News Service

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Japanese bishops, including the president of the bishops' conference, met with Pope Benedict XVI and top Vatican officials to discuss the Neocatechumenal Way.

The Dec. 13 meeting with four Japanese bishops had been called by Pope Benedict, said the president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Japan, Archbishop Leo Jun Ikenaga of Osaka.

He told Catholic News Service that the meeting lasted nearly two hours and included the Vatican secretary of state, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, and "several other cardinals."

While the archbishop would not comment on the substance of the meeting, he said the bishops would have to have further discussions with the Vatican and the Neocatechumenal Way's co-founder, Kiko Arguello.

Braunschweig Dominicans Out of Control Promote Homosexuality on Website

Under pressure from without the Braunschweiger Dominicans have undertaken some cosmetic alterations.

(kreuz.net)  Homo-Dominicans in Branschweig have removed the worst references to unnatural offers of seducation from their website after  substantial protests.

Till yesterday the propaganda material as well as "homosexual-groups" and homo-networks were openly promoted -- "in place of spreading Gospel and the teaching of the Catholic Church as well as informing about their precautions for the prevention of sexual abuse" -- as the protestant Website 'medrum.de" explained it.

Actually 'medrum.de' maintained that the internet offers of degenerate company is still "exclusively single minded".

Because: "All of the available information blocks reglated to the theme of Homosexuality and the connections to information ports to homosexual groups remained unchanged at the Dominican website."

• The website of the morally degenerate 'Ecumenical Homosexual Workgroup and Church'
•The website of the decadent 'Network of Catholic Lesbians"
•The website of the unnatural 'Youth Network Lamda'
•The website of church and enemies of the bible 'Gays in Cartel of Catholic Student Organizations'
•The entrance onto the web of Church-hate group 'Workshop for Gay Theology'

The site 'medrum.de' cited from an editorial that the 'Workshop for Gay Theology' had published in 2008.

There you can read things like:  "It is unforeseeable that the hierarchy of the Catholic Church has shifted the terrain of its homophobic interventions."

The gay-site was describing the Church's  fight against the State's privileging of  homosexual concubinage.

The editorial asks the question if homo-ideology could change the approximate "homophobic powerstructures in the Church", which supposedly have hardened  in "visciouness and hypocrisy".

One finds also on the homo-website of the Braunschweig Dominicans now as before the rubric "Homophobia".

Here comes the distorted homosexually disturbed  Udo Rauchfleisch to the fore.  He fantacizes over "anti-homosexual violence".

In reality the homo-ideology is already long acquainted with a readiness to commit violence, joined by state-tolerated left storm troopers -- and waltz down anyone who dares to criticize the homo power grabs.

The site 'medrum.de" wonders about the site of the Dominicans and why they haven't put anything about the Catholic Church's teaching about homosexual-perversion.

There is also no information about spiritual groups and therapeutic approaches for those who suffer homosexuality, to follow the Gospel and free them from their homosexual temptations.

The Portal also maintains that the Dominicans "explained nothing about sexual abuse" on their website.

Accordingly, in the Church's area where abuse is relatively rare, over eighty percent of the perpetrators are homosexuals.

Pogues Singer Sings Drummer Boy With "The Priests"

DUBLIN (CNS) -- The Irish trio of clerical classical singers The Priests has teamed up with former hellion and punk rocker/Irish folk singer Shane MacGowan for a recording of "The Little Drummer Boy." The track, also known as "Peace on Earth," was always going to be included on The Priests' third album, "Noel," but mindful of the success of the 1977 recording by Catholic crooner Bing Crosby and glam-rock star David Bowie, the clergymen thought a collaboration with another singer might provide a counterpoint to their classically trained voices. "Our management told us Shane was available and we were delighted by the idea," Father Eugene O'Hagan, one of The Priests, told Catholic News Service. A gifted songwriter, MacGowan, former lead singer with The Pogues and later a band named The Popes, became widely known for his alcoholic binges both on and off stage. His song "Fairytale of New York," recorded in 1987, is the Christmas song most requested and played on radio in Ireland and the United Kingdom. "It was a pleasure working with Shane," Father O'Hagan said. "After the recording, Shane asked if we could pray together and he asked for our blessing. It was a lovely moment." The three priests from the Down and Connor Diocese, brothers Eugene and Martin O'Hagan and David Delargy, started singing together as youngsters at St. MacNissi's College, an elementary school in Northern Ireland.

Weakland Appointed Seminary Rector Attacks Church's Teachings

The head rots from the fish down and bad appointments of Bishops yield bad results and this former Seminary rector is now in charge of a parish.  He was appointed by Archbishop Weakland..  Archbishop Weakland himself was a favorite of Paul VI.   Not only does the Seminary rector, Father Victor Capriolo suffer from deficiencies in theology, but he suffers from deficiencies in his knowledge of human nature as well:

I am aware also that Saint Paul says the various distinctions we use to categorize and divide one another are not appropriate for the Church. “There does not exist among you Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female.” (Galatians 3:28).
I’m sure women can relate well to their belonging to the Church as the bride of Christ; but, I wonder, how can men do that? As baptized members of the Church, men are part of the Body of Christ; but can they see themselves as the bride of Christ?
If the body of Christ is both male and female, I wonder … if there were both male and female priests as head of the Church, then that spousal image of Christ and his Church would make better sense for both men and women.

Archbishop Nienstedt Stops Liturgical Abuses at Fake Indian Worship Center

Indian church, archdiocese clash over mass elements

Archdiocese questions use of special wine.
Last update: December 13, 2010 - 10:27 PM

The future use of Indian practices, however, is being questioned by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, which temporarily suspended mass at the church last month after conflict arose over the use of specialized wine.

The unrest at Gichitwaa Kateri comes at a time when Pope Benedict has called for renewed emphasis on tradition and uniformity in the Catholic church, leaving churches like Kateri wondering how many, if any, of their traditions may be compromised. Twin Cities Archbishop John Nienstedt also has a history of strongly adhering to orthodox church doctrine.

French Benedictine Sisters Top Pop Charts in UK

New Gregorian-CD of Benedictines from Avignon is on the English Top 15 List -- The Gregorian Choir Speaks "to the Soul".

Paris (kath.net) The French Benedictines of Notre Dame de l'Annonciation of Avignon have made a CD with their Gregorian songs and have stormed the UK Top 15 of the British charts.  The album reflects with the songs to profession of the withdrawn lives of the Sisters:  "The Gregorian Choir helps us to draw completely close to the Lord God.  He doesn't speak to the senses, rather to the soul", explained a Sister to nanoo.com. In the internet commentary of a Youtube-blogger girl said of the music:  "that is so beautiful... I don't know anything about God, but Catholics make such wonderful music!"

The Community of the Benedictine Sisters of Notre Dame de l'Annonciation was founded in  1979 and has its home in Le Barroux, in the vicinity of France's province of Avignon.  The Sisters lead a furtive, withdrawn life devoted to prayer and work.  Their sung prayers have finally become known outside the borders of France as they have signed a record contract with Decca in London.  Now a chart success is the result.

Ancient Catholic Monastery Uncovered in United Arab Emirates

The unexpected find provides the emirate another tourist attraction to add to resorts and museums
United Arab Emirates

The remains of a monastery and church opened this week to the public in Abu Dhabi, offering tourists and locals a rare glimpse into the Islamic emirate’s often-forgotten Christian past.
The site contains the remains of a an Eastern Syrian church and monastery that was erected around the year 600, and was in use for about 150 years, Peter Hellyer, the project director for the Sir Bani Yas Monastery Project, told The Media Line. Located on Sir Bani Yas, a small deserted island off the coast of Abu Dhabi, the site shows the first physical evidence of a Christian presence in the southern gulf.

Degenerate Art Foundation Threatens Smithsonian With Defunding

The New York Times says that Warhol Foundation wants degenerate art returned to the stalls of the Smithsonian.   Caught between a big mouth and a big pocketbook.  It just might be possible that Smithsonian could be encouraged to do the right thing by helping change people's minds on value.

Part of what makes Warhol's decadent legacy so powerful is the perception of value.  The best way to resist this is to continue make beautiful things, even the simplest things, and to fill them with love.

Please try to remember that one of the  aims of Marxist demoralization is to promote degenerate art in public spaces to degrade people's idea of what beauty is, and therefore truth.
Warhol Foundation Threatens to End Financing of Smithsonian Exhibitions
The Andy Warhol Foundation is threatening to stop its financing of Smithsonian Institution exhibitions if the institution does not restore a work of art that was removed from an exhibition after it drew attacks by the head of the Catholic League and some Republican members of Congress. The Warhol Foundation gave $100,000 to the Smithsonian for the exhibition, “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture,” at the National Portrait Gallery, from which the work was removed.

"Catholic" Blog Defends David Berger's Homosexual Deception

Homosexual friendly clergy at "Pray, Tell" blog, hosted by some priests at a Modernist Monastery in the Midwest are focused like laser beams on what a dishonest homosexual activist from Germany and former theologian has to say about the Catholic Church and Its legitimate aspirations.  Berger's already accused the Church of hypocrisy about Its position about sodomy, why doesn't he join St. John's Abbey and all the other liberals who pose as Catholics and found their own religion?  It's ironic indeed that one of the largest centers of homosexual predators in the country if not the world also hosts a website concerned about the sexual health of Traditionalist priests.

Speaking of aspirations, Berger is enjoying almost universal praise from the anti-Catholic press.  The bloggers there, after insisting they are very familiar with Berger's work are very defensive of the homosexual charlatan.  If they ever met at St. John's Abbey for a conference, you can be assured there'd be a mutual admiration society set up.  One of the homosexual enabling blog's commenters complained that he didn't know what Berger's "professional" status in the Catholic Church is.  Well, Berger still teaches at a Catholic high school in Germany and like a lot of schools who hire active homosexuals either knowingly or unknowingly often refuse to fire them even after they've proven themselves to be less than honest.

Father Ruff rises to Berger's defense, insisting that he's read the deceptive German sodomite:

Fr. Allan, if you haven’t read the book by Berger, perhaps you should step back from comparing it with Michael Rose’s book.

Berger is a bright theologian (doctorate in the field). I’m not so sure that Michael Rose even claims to be a theologian. Rose holds that homosexual orientation and homosexual people is the problem. We need “good men” again. Berger, rather, discusses the problematic ways people do or don’t deal with their orientation. I think this is a significant difference. I find the former homophobic, but not the latter.

I wouldn’t lump Berger and Rose together.

Yes, the latter is a lying homosexual poser, a confidence man who admitted to winning over people in Traditionalist circles to earn income while he  was living in a homosexual relationship with hiis "partner".  The former is an honorable man and was very accurate about what was going on at the Louvain, which at the latest had abandoned its Catholic identity and will be closing out in any case, due to a lack of interest in what they have to offer.

Another blog contributor, Father Cody Unterseher is worried that this histrionic creature's book won't continue being carried by Ave Maria Press, thanks Cody:

One wonders if Sapientia Press of Ave Maria University will be courageous enough to keep Berger’s little book Thomas Aquinas & the Liturgy in print. It’s an very useful contribution, and I’d hate to see it fall victim to unnecessary and unhelpful suppression.
