Archbishop Criticizes Gender Ideology: "Direct Path to Self-Destruction"

(Warsaw) Polish bishop finds clear words against the gender ideology and is showered with insults from anticlerical circles. The gender ideology is the "direct path to the self-destruction of our civilization."

The Polish Archbishop Marek Jedraszewski of Lodz defended the differences and complementarity of man and woman at a meeting with young people. The Archbishop tried to reject the attempt to flatten "the great and unique differences between man and woman that God thought of so wonderfully."

"2050 Whites Will be Put on Reservations": "They are planning that they will cease to exist of their own desire."

The archbishop said he could well imagine if the gender ideology should prevail, that "the few who continue to hold to the fact that man and woman are indeed equal as human beings and are fully equal in dignity, but have a different sex, and that's a good thing, will be put as Indians are in reservations by 2050." Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski is known for his vivid and clear language. He told young people at a youth catechesis in Pabianice near Lodz about the importance of accepting one's own gender and to defy every misanthropic egalitarianism.

Gender ideology is an "extremely dangerous ideology"

The former theology professor had put the gender ideology at the heart of his speech, "which has become fashionable in recent years. To be exact, it's the only valid ideology according to political correctness," said the Archbishop. The gender ideology is an attack against "gender identity" of man as male and female and for an attack against the family and the generation of children. "It is an extremely dangerous ideology that leads directly to the death of our civilization," said Msgr Jędraszewski. He could therefore imagine, if he also hopes not to experience it personally, that the few surviving whites, the smallest of the other races here in Europe will be presented as a sensation in 2050. "Behold how the people looked, who once lived there and those who have ceased existing at their own request, because they did not accept themselves biologically." The problem is mainly a problem for Europeans and thus it is also to be found in North America and Australia.

"After Us,  May Come  the Deluge" By Gender Ideology

The denial of God is unmistakable behind the gender ideology, and it is the base engine of this "ideology of self-destruction." For it is God who "created man as man and woman," said Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski. "He created them for a life together, not that each go his way, and not for homosexuality, but for the second unit, for marriage, so that they beget children, continue to give life and rule the world. Then perhaps the deluge might come after us," said the archbishop.

The speech by Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski of Lodz led to savage attacks against Church representatives. Anti-Church papers shower him with criticism and personal attacks. Considering the reception of what the Archbishop says, the Metropolitan had obviously hit the mark.

Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski was born in 1949 in Poznan. After his consecration, he worked in pastoral ministry and as a professor of theology. In 1997 Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop of Poznan. In 2012 he was made Archbishop of Lodz by Pope Benedict XVI.

Cabby With English Flag: State Accuses Him of Discrimination Against Minorities.

Correction: The cabby's name is Denise, and is female. Thanks
(London) The District Council accused  Denis Said of violating the Equal Opportunity Act. So that foreign customers do not feel "offended": "Crazy England!" The taxi driver risks losing his license. He has namely dared to put  a sticker on his taxi  a  in the size of 10 x 15 centimeters with the English flag, with the words "Local Driver" displayed. The discrimination lies in the words and above all in the cross, because the English flag has the Cross of St. George, a red cross on a white background.
The 56-year-old Denis Said moved to Newton Abbot, a city in the county of Devon, where he has been a cabby for 16 years. Now he was been cited by the city council for discrimination: "In this particular case the English flag and the words, "Local Driver" penalize 'those in their daily lives, who don't identify with either of the two elements."  This outrageous statement was made by Teignbridge District Council of Devon, who also stated: "We want to ensure all appropriate services by applying the Equality Act of 2010 in order to protect all cultures in our society."

A Controversial Law

Said would have violated the Equality Act, according to public administration,   which  outlaws all state, political, religious or identity-symbols since 2010. Because of this law, employees have already been discharged from public service because they were wearing a cross around his neck. Likewise, Catholic adoption agencies were closed down because they refused to distribute children to homosexuals.
A law that was intended to protect minorities from discrimination, discriminates in fact any identity, starting with the native English identity. According to the Equality Act of 2010 one may be British anywhere in the world, but not English in England. A national, local culture or even a dominant culture is explicitly punishable as provided by law.
The authorities have determined  accordingly: If Denis Said does not remove the English flag from his car, the license for his taxi cab  will not be renewed next February. The English taxi driver has said, to no avail, that  he was assured that he had never heard a complaint from anyone. The withdrawal of the license would be a death warrant for him, as it is Said's only source of income.

Political Bypass or Selective Destruction of Identity?

In his petition against the decision, Said argued that in showing the English flag, there was nothing offensive: "The Council assumed that I was a racist just because I display the flag of my country. That is simply not true. I'm English and I'm a rider from the area here, which, after all, says something in a taxi company, right? Where is the problem? I do not discriminate against anyone who gets into my car, but drive him to where he wants to go up. "
He hasn't even had many foreign passengers in his area. Since the decision, however, he asks his foreign passengers if they would feel insulted or attacked by the English flag and the words "Local Driver". "Nobody felt offended in the slightest. They were downright amazed at my question. One even said to me, 'Your country has gone mad.' "

What Did the Holy Father Really Say to World Jewish Congress Leaders -- Violent Polemics in Poland

(Warsaw) The Jewish-friendly words that Pope Francis said on Monday to the Chairman of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) , who was also appreciative of this praise, is cause for violent polemics in Poland. The official statement from the Vatican about the audience granted by the Pope to the highest leadership of the WJC, and the official statement of the WJC did not meet with overall approval.
While the Vatican did not mention it, it was in the WJC statement that had been discussed  concerning Jewish affairs in Europe. In this context it came to Kosher  laws of ritual slaughter and the ban on circumcision that have been complained against by the most prominent and influential Jewish organization as "anti-Jewish". The WJC told the Pope of a "new anti-Semitism" and described in this context, Poland. A connection that offends many Poles and even Polish Church  circles.

"Special order" for Cardinal Koch in Poland? - Papal solidarity with Jews Meeting Criticism

More so the criticism  was concerned that Pope Francis, did not defend the Poles, but that he should affirm the Jewish criticism. The WJC statement said that the Pope had shown himself "concerned" about  ritual slaughter and Cardinal Koch, the President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity was commissioned  "to investigate" the mattter and within the convene a special meeting next week.
The papal "solidarity" with Jews and papal "investigations" against Poland have caused a significant storm in the Polish press. In the media the Pope's  statement  is referred to as "inappropriate". The tone of criticism is, however, significantly immoderate in its choice of words. On the streets you can hear violent statements in a mixture of disappointment, misunderstanding and outrage. A woman in Krakow  of about 40 is visibly upset about the question of the papal statement, who offers the counter-question:  "Will the Pope not defend us? We are Catholics. Why is he defending the Jews who deny Christ?" The surrounding women, who come straight from their shopping, concur with her.

Vatican spokesman Lombardi Denies the World Jewish Congress

Meanwhile, is was also reported in the Jerusalem Post . On Tuesday, the matter  appeared in the daily meetings of Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi where it was discussed with journalists. Lombardi was forced to correct the statement of the World Jewish Congress. "There is no particular order of the Pope to Cardinal Koch regarding the rules for animal slaughter in Poland,"  said the Vatican spokesman.
The conflict over Jewish ritual slaughter had broken out in Poland, after the Constitutional Court had been called to  determine the method unconstitutional because of animal cruelty. It sparked violent protests by Jewish organizations in Europe and at the international level. The Jewish organizations spoke of a "devastating impact on religious freedom".

Polish Parliament Rejected a Special Permit for Jewish Ritual Slaughter

Recently  the Polish majority in Parliament rejected a bill from the bourgeois-liberal government that would allow the Jewish ritual slaughter again. The government based this decision one one taken by the EU policy in January  that allowed the Jews ritual slaughter. Israel, too, has been active in diplomatic parquet and described the Polish ban on ritual slaughter as "totally unacceptable".
The reactions of  Jewish organizations did not impress the Polish majority. The solidarity of the Pope had, however, not  been expected in Poland. Accordingly, most of the discussions are vigorously concerned with a little "Who done It," as to what Pope Francis had really told the delegation of the WJC.
The controversy also coincides with the accreditation of the new Polish Ambassador to the Holy See. Piotr Nowina-Konopka, will pay his first official visit to the Pope on Monday.

The Close Proximity of the Argentine Pope to Judaism

The Polish reactions takes the friendship and closeness to the Pope of Argentine Jews into the public spotlight. With the rabbi of Buenos Aires, the then Archbishop Bergoglio an interview book. The hospitality he gave Jewish organizations, including the Masonic B'nai B'rith,  in Catholic churches, was not without controversy even before his election as Pope in Catholic circles in Argentina. Even as Pope his audiences for Jewish leaders or representatives of Jewish organizations and his messages to the Jewish religion and to the Jewish Community in Rome is recognized this particular area. At a reception for high WJC representatives in June Francis Pope had said: "Because of the common roots  a Christian can not be an anti-Semite." On Monday, he reiterated this statement and added that a Christian to be a "good Christian" who has to understand Jewish history and tradition. [Never mind that most Catholics, even in Buenos Aires, don't know aught about Catholicism.]
In Poland, these statements are now being discussed and partly criticized. Although the intention of the June statement was clear, the choice of words, was yet inappropriate, because what is the name of "anti-Semite" exactly. The Monday Statement is ambiguous, because what was meant by "Jewish history and tradition." Jewish history and tradition of the Old Testament or today? Why must a person, to be a good Christian, know the history and traditions of the Jews after the birth of Christ?

Prosecutors Find No Criminal Incident Involving Seminarians Kicked Out Over "Anti-Semitism"

(Würzburg) The "right-wing extremist incidents" [What about left-wing extremist incidents?] in the seminary of Würzburg are proven what they were: a soap bubble. The prosecutor stated that she saw "no reason" for the initiation of an investigation. This was reported by the Chief Public Prosecutor of Würzburg Dietrich Geuder. All three of the prosecutors reported there was "no criminality" in the "incidents". (on the events in Würzburg see Report ). Thus, the diocesan leadership of Würzburg has some explaining to do, but the prosecutor's announcement comes too late for the two dismissed seminarians.

Katolische Nachrichten's hysteria led several major media including the Süddeutsche Zeitung to blast headlines such as "right-wingers in the Church" or "Brown Network in the Seminary", the diocese to have an immediate internal "investigation commission", which included both the Bishop of Würzburg and the Archbishop of Bamberg. In addition, in the name of perfect "transparency" there was also called an external inquiry commission under the chairmanship of former top state judges. The piquant thing was that the former judge sits on the Board of Donum Vitae Bayern and thus actually is contrary to the Catholic Church.

The spokesman for the Diocese of Würzburg has now declared quite rightly that the findings of the prosecutors of no criminal activity has nothing to do with the Church internal review of the suitability of a seminarian for the priesthood. Würzburg's Bishop Friedhelm Hofmann had specifically convened a press conference on the 31st of July and told them that two seminarians were dismissed by him and Archbishop Schick, because these are "serious" incidents showing they would not have the necessary "human maturity and pastoral competence" to the priesthood.

What remains is a tempest in a teacup, a genuflection before the secular media, probably an internal church intrigue and two seminarians whose path has been sacrificed to the priesthood to political correctness. In Germany it is not easy to become a priest.

+Schönborn’s Cathedral: Like an Expressionistic Crib Figure in Satan’s Manger

The Presence of the Holy Will be Brought to Silence by
Cardinal Schönborn.  Vienna’s Stepansdom, Bust in ridicule of
Sr. Resituta [photo: kreuz-net.info]
Ed: while pious ninnies and apologetics hustlers slander Catholics, evil Bishops mock God and His Church from within.

Mockery of Sr. Restituta As an expressionist nativity figures at the cradle of Satan

Since 27 May 2009 a Stalinist bronze relief statue can be ogled at the Barbara Chapel of St. Stephen's Cathedral. This bust was bare-breasted, produced at the request of the Vienna Cardinal from one of the last Stalinists (with the exception of the European Union), Alfred Hrdlicka. How long?

The presence of the Holy is silenced by Cardinal Schönborn. St. Stephen's Cathedral, a bust to mock the Blessed Sr. Restituta [image: cross-net.info] Faithful Martyr Sister Maria Restituta was murdered on 30 March 1943 by the Nazi Provincial Court in Vienna. The Blessed Sister Maria Restituta sacrificed her life for Christ's cross and died as a martyr under the guillotine - which is named after a Freemason Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, a tool for streamlining the breaking of the 5th Commandment of God.

With this central tool of the Jacobin, Leftist terror, Blessed Sister Maria Restituta was killed by the Nazis in Vienna provincial court because she would not be the same align herself to a socialist ideology. This Gleichschaltung was made up by those responsible for the St. Stephen's Cathedral in 2009.

The St. Stephen's Cathedral was Consequently Decorated Vulgar Materialistic

The wealthy high ranking Stalinist Hrdlicka, at the request of his employer, Cardinal Schönborn, removed the divine image of the martyrdom of Blessed Sister Maria Restituta Kafka, and brought instead the Blessed as a demonic creature from a vision of hell for display.

The bare-breasted Blessed Sister Maria Restituta hangs on the wall of St. Stephen's Cathedral as an expressionist nativity figures at the cradle of Satan. Beneath are only Hrdlicka’s following words, "I'm a big German”.

The Devil is Inside the Church

This mockery of the Blessed Sister Maria Restituta by those responsible for the St. Stephen's Cathedral is an involuntary allegory of the fact that the Holy Church is exposed to persecution from inside by the devil.

There are on God's earth no dedicated site where a Blessed is mad as a disgraceful, bold, irreverent and barbaric representation as in the Stephansdom in Vienna.

For the traditionless, who are closely pegged to the short moment (as Schönborn, Faber, Schuller & other theological apologists and analacrobats), the dishonor of the Blessed Sister Maria Restituta Kafka is characterized as a "work of art" identifiable, because the bare-breasted representation of the Blessed in St. Stephen's Cathedral is vulgarly presented.

For those who do not suffer from spiritual amnesia, still know: "The true, the good, the beautiful and the Saints are identical". But those responsible for St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna have the same understanding of art and aesthetics, the same as of theology.

Vienna School of heresy?

In disobedient and defiant Vienna is the pursuit of the ugly, falsehood and evil. The soul must, in order to be receptive to truth and beauty, have certain conditions, which have been wiped out by the officials of the tax subsidized Archdiocese of Vienna.

Souls are not charged to the supernatural beauty and heavenly, but at best to aberrosexual kitsch and the disregard for the sanctity.

The Blessed Sister Maria Restituta was killed by the Nazis because she stood with God. The Vienna School of heresy called to disobedience, however, denies the will of God and panders to the sexually immoral.

Therefore, a disobedient, Viennese pastor can’t bear the beatified Sister Maria Restituta (like the Nazis), which eventually led to her mockery of the Stephansdom in Vienna.

Church funds to Communist Drunkard

For this desecration of the Blessed Martyr, Sister Restituta Kafka, Cardinal Schönborn had to let go of 80,000 euros for the drunkard Hrdlicka - the equivalent of 5,300 bottles of premium Ukrainian vodka.

The dishonor of the Blessed Sister Maria Restituta Stephansdom in Vienna is a high-proof image of the spiritual suicide through which the Archdiocese of Vienna supplying many souls to hell.

Culturally Sensitive Historical Falsification in Vienna: Siege of Vienna by the Turks Stricken From the History Books

Edit:  In view of the 560th anniversary of the fall of Constantinople to the Turk in 1453 yesterday, this story appears providentially.

History is vitally important, but the powers that be would prefer to forget certain episodes and mandate others, whose denial can lead to being murdered, losing one's livelihood, public disgrace and long prison sentences.

Here's a trial balloon being sent up in Austria. It will be interesting to see how the people take it.

There were similar attempts in England to avoid teaching about the "Holocaust" so as not to offend Muslims, or rather, as it was later spun, teachers could opt out of teaching the subject, in order to avoid inciting "anti-Semitic" thinking among Muslim students.

[Vienna.] As to addressing the defensive battle of Vienna against the Ottoman attackers or the Turkish wars in the 16th and 17th century, young Austrians could soon shrug helplessly:

Out of consideration for immigrants of Turkish origin, it was suggested by the principle that her Viennese elementary school's teachers not to treat the subject in the classroom. For those who do not comply, the threat of the dismissal, said the Zeitung Krone. After all, the Turks might be offended if they are reminded of their defeats in school. For Austrian history, the Turkish wars, however, are of immense importance. Vienna stood alone [Poles? Bavarians and Germans too?] against a major Turkish siege twice - and beat the attacker back both times. Parents are outraged by the effrontery of the Viennese school principal, Krone Zeitung also speaks of the "falsification of history".

I think it's also vitally important to linke Ewald Städler's address to the Turkish Ambassador in the Austrian Parlement in this context.

French Traditionalists Accused of Anti-Semitism

Edit: no good deed goes unpunished and even acts of charity are chastised and scrutinized by totalitarians in France as one report has it, at least one judge has some native common sense. Some people just don't have any concern for social justice:

Paris (Reuters) The mayor of Paris condemned the ruling and urged the police to appeal the ruling.

"Faced by this initiative which stinks of xenophobia, I want once again to express city hall's desire to fight all forms of discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism," mayor Bertrand Delanoe said in a statement.

The food handouts are organized by a nationalist group called Solidarity of the French (SDF). It says its "pig soup," which uses pork fat for stock, is country fare much loved by French traditionalists.

Lou Ferrakhan Comes to Dissident Priest’s Chicago Parish

Edit: last week we noticed that the unstoppable Father Micheal Pfleger of Chicago had invited Louis Ferrakhan to his parish for an interfaith gathering on March 1st.  There is no sign of the ACLU or the SPLC and the usual professional whiners. Cardinal George at least has tacit approval of this event.   He wrote the following report in his usual understated way on his Facebook page:
Woke up just thanking God for His Goodness and Mercy this Morning! Minister Farrakhan gave such a Beautiful Message of Unity and Love last Night! He challenged us to come together and be made New in Christ! To lay down our weapons and use the gift of our Minds and Hearts. He reminded us of the Power of Light! I am so grateful for his friendship. He is my friend, my Brother and Mentor. I pray that the World will embraces his message and that we come together!
Famous quotes:

"White people are potential humans - they haven't evolved yet.”
 Philadelphia Inquirer, March 2000

"They [the Jews] are the greatest controllers of black minds, black intelligence. They write the scripts - the foolish scripts on television that our people portray. They are the movie moguls that feature us in these silly, degrading, degenerate roles.

"The great recording companies that portray our people in such a filthy and low-rating way, yet they would not allow such a man as Michael Jackson to say one word that they thought would besmirch their reputation, but they put us before the world as clowns and as purveyors of filth. No, I will fight that.”
Meet The Press interview, October 1998

"The Jews have been so bad at politics they lost half their population in the Holocaust. They thought they could trust in Hitler, and they helped him get the Third Reich on the road." Saviours' Day speech, Chicago, February 1998

"Of course, they [the Jews] have a very small number of people but they are the most powerful in the world, they have the power to do good and they have the power to do evil ... Now what do the Jews do best? Well, they have been the best in finance that the world has ever known …

"They finance a lot of stuff in the world, and there's nothing wrong with that, but they are not good politicians, they are the worst politicians because they don't recognise really their friends and as well their enemies ... " Saviours' Day speech, Chicago, February 1998

"It seems like being gay or whatever sin you wish to be a part of is okay ... but I have the duty to lift that gay person up to the standard to ask if they want to live the life that God wants them to or live the lifestyle that they want to live." Boston speech, August 1997

"I believe that for the small numbers of Jewish people in the United States, they exercise a tremendous amount of influence on the affairs of government ...Yes, they exercise extraordinary control, and black people will never be free in this country until they are free of that kind of control ... " Meet The Press interview, April 1997

"I don't own Hollywood. Who depicted black people? Who writes the books? Who writes the plays, the songs that make us look less than human? Do you mean to tell me that Jews have never done any evil to black people? …

"Were they not involved in the slave trade? Yes, they were ... and to the extent that they were involved, somebody has to bring them to account. And I believe that has fallen on me." Interview with New York Amsterdam News, January 1994

Islam Hour in Kindergarten: Coming to you Soon!

Edit: this liveleak video from 2011 shows a German Kindergarten visited by a local Imam.  The SSPX German District website has introduced the story again.  It's interesting to see that some of the children refuse to participate.  It is still topical:

This published video shows how a German Kindergarten (!) is made into an advertisement for Islam.

A women with a head covering gives the children a liquid with which they can rub and probably purify themselves, in order to prepare for Muslim prayers.

A Muslim, apparently an Imam, shows the children the Koran and explains to them how Muslims pray and how Turkish children play.

The muslim who praises the Koran to the German children, is clearly Ömer Akbulut, who is the spokesman for the Islamic community engaged in the building of a mosque with a minarett in Wertheim.  It is also apparent that this leaked video is of a Kindergarten in the vicinity of Wertheim.

pius.info recommends to readers:  If you have children in Kindergarten, then suggest to the teacher a visit from a conservative, Catholic priest.  Father will show the children how to make the sign of the cross, how one gets holy water and who the Mother of God is.

If the teacher answers, that such is not possible in a ideologically neutral state like Germany, then show her the photo above.

Italy: Authorities Try to Abolish Christmas, For Real

Edit: After hearing about how a man dressed as a Roman Centurion attacked and substantially damaged an ancient local church in Rome recently,  here's a more uplifting tale describing the constant war against the powers and principalities.  There was a viral meme a few years back that a Bradford City Council in England was abolishing Christmas to mollify Muslims, by referring to Christmas as "Midwinter Festival"?  Still, atheists in Santa Monica have the same idea.

Yes, it's happening again except this time it's Italy and Catholics aren't sitting back, letting it happen and then bemoaning that it happened with the usual resignation easily detectable in Catholic and conservative circles these days in Northern Europe and the United States.

In the province of Caraoso in Piacenza, Italy, a school Principal has overstepped his bounds and will now have to find himself a new job.

This just in from a correspondent about a really interesting situation in Italy where Cultural Marxism attempts to rear its ugly head and is stomped by an angry mob of ordinary Italians.  People in Europe don't appear to be quite as sanguine and passive about the authorities destroying their traditions as are alleged Catholics in the United States.  Nativity scenes are routinely attacked by the ACLU or local miscreants and Anarchists with impunity:

A principle of a public elementary school in the Province of Piacenza decided to ban any mention of Christmas (including the display of the traditional nativity scenes) in order not to "offend" north African students. At which point the parents exploded in protest. The mayor of the town promised to personally deliver 4 nativity scenes and will press to have the principle transferred out of the school. The protests have arrived at the ministry of public education in Rome. Can one imagine such a protest happening in the oh-so-Christian USA? No, one cannot.

Philippine Bishops' Conference Buys Into Global Warming Hysteria

Edit: Despite the Filipino  Bioshops' stern stance against abortion, birth control and the increasingly decadent culture around.  The Bishops Conference of the Philippine Bishops' Conference is just as pathetic and dominated by the same forces every other national conference is.

It's Another meaningless apology which doesn't address specific sins, nor is it clear if they were that they would actually be sinful, which is tied to the Marxist notion that personal morality is meaningless and that morality is collective:

Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines:
“We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of creation.
“We have not been good stewards of Nature.
“We have confused Your command to subdue the earth.
“The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing, and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference.
“Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity.
“We turn to You, our loving Father, and beg forgiveness for our sins.
“We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made.
“We beseech You to inspire us all to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation, and generous neighbors to those in need.
“Amen.”

Exploitative Textile Company Removes Pope Ad

Edit: UPDATE: Benetton has pulled their ad, recently, but the damage has been done.

The trendy, colorful and androgynous clothes of Benetton are famous all around the world for their ad campaigns which promote a promiscuous cultural melange and challenge the sexual norms of the world's religions. They also make light of the entire political spectrum from the Left to the Right side of the Seine or the Moscow. The ads seem to say, "this is how fun life can be without religion or politics." Despite their efforts to promote a world clique, and decisive social changes, they're also increasingly notorious for the unsafe conditions of their factories and exploiting their laborers. So, the sexually ambivalent Luciano Benetton and his company, despite being progressive about some things, still has a great deal of respect for Mammon.

How about creating sharecroppers in Africa through mini-credit?

Recently, as mentioned above, Benetton has attacked the Pope with a photo-shopped ad depicting him with a Mohammedan cleric embracing and kissing. The ad is decidedly exploitative and has once again raised people's awareness of this label, Mohammedanism and Catholicism.

And yet, despite Benetton's concern with the sexual outlook of the world's religions, and their own progressive sexual ethic, they continue to make the news for their bad faith in terms of their labor practices. Last year, 3,000 female textile workers rioted against what they felt were low wages and poor working conditions. This is obviously something which might interest the culturally progressive audience Benetton has cultivated in the last quarter century.

At least nine female garment workers were injured on Tuesday in clashes with Cambodian riot police who used shields and electric shock batons to try to end a week-long strike over the suspension of a local union official.

More than 100 police, at least 50 in riot gear and carrying assault rifles, tried to force an estimated 3,000 female workers back into their factory, pushing several to the ground and stunning them with batons, a Reuters witness said, which we found at Deceiver.

Link to article...

The clashes were the latest setback for an industry that was badly hurt by the global economic slump from 2008 and more recently has been plagued by strikes over low pay and working conditions.

The factory on the outskirts of the capital, Phnom Penh, is owned by a Malaysian firm and produces garments for companies including Gap, Benetton, Adidas and Puma.

But that's not the only problem Benetton faces:

On 14 December 2010, 28 workers of the sportswear factory That’s It in Bangladesh went up in flames or jumped to their deaths when a fire tore through the ninth and tenth floors of their factory building. They were not the first ones whose lives had ended violently in the work place. Since 2000, at least ten Bangladeshi factories were razed by fire or simply collapsed on top of the workers, because the owners cared more about money than about the safety of their employees.

We might also add that Benetton is an avid supporter of unsavory sexual mores. His numerous ads depicting curious sexual poses valorizing aberrosexuality speak for themselves. Could it be that the Italian, and shamelessly Republican Senator, Luciano Benetton, shares with many anti-clerical Italians, a hatred of the Catholic Church? If the following paragraphs are any indication, it wouldn't be surprising:

The solution was one of the most controversial campaigns in advertising history. Under the banner, United Colours of Benetton, there appeared first mixed-race couples and later more shocking images. One showed the bloodstained uniform of a dead soldier in former Yugoslavia. Others highlighted social problems such as Aids. None used professional models.

Mr Benetton is coy about whether his goal has been to change the world or merely to hijack topical issues to promote his brand. "I'm not the so-called `creative' person in the company," he says. But he does vet all the images before they go out. "Our principles are not to offend people and not to lie."

We're not the only ones to have noticed this familiar duplicity. Three days ago, an article appeared in A Paper Bird has also noticed this as well, citing also how Benetton pays its female workers in Tunisia.

So much for consistency.

USCCB Hooked on Girl Scouts USA

There has been a substantial amount of negative response from the laity as well as a recent news report from Lifesite, about United States Catholic Council of Bishops [USCCB] and its questionable relationship with the Girl Scouts. Despite the fact that Girl Scouts USA partners with and supports Catholics for choice, there is the typical non-response from the USCCB. They express concern about the the grievances of Catholics involved with the program, but don't actually do anything about it. (http://www.nccgscf.org/NFCYMPositionStatementOnGSUSAIssuesJan282011.pdf), (GSUSA supports "Catholics for Choice" on pg 2 of the article). Here's the non-response:

Many Catholic Girl Scout leaders are feeling torn between their commitment to Girl Scouting
and their commitment to their Catholic teachings because of the real or perceived relationship
between GSUSA and organizations like Planned Parenthood. The NFCYM approach to this
complex issue has been one of engagement, rather than detachment or withdrawal. NFCYM,
through NCCGSCF, needs to stay connected to GSUSA not only because thousands of Catholic
girls and Catholic adult leaders are involved in scouting, but because Girl Scouting—like Boy
Scouting—provides excellent character development for young people through their programs.
NFCYM can only influence secular organizations by staying in relationship with them . . . by
being at the table.

In addition to releasing their public statement, GSUSA has taken two other actions:

1. On Thursday, January 27, GSUSA conducted a conference call with their council
executives to assist them in working more closely with faith based organizations.
NFCYM sees that as a significant action in promoting our religious recognition
programs.

2. GSUSA has agreed to a follow-up meeting between their national leadership and
NFCYM leadership this summer to continue to review and access our relationship and
the critical issues.

NFCYM will continue to closely monitor any new issues that arise and, through our NCCGSCF,
continue to engage GSUSA leadership in their active support of NFCYM religious recognition
programs

More recently, there is another story related to Girl Scouts USA where, true to their essential character, they are making accommodation for a child who is undergoing a sex-change operation. It's indisputable that there are those within the USCCB who have difficulties articulating and acting on the Church's teachings regarding sexuality and it also seems unlikely that any change will take place from within. Here's the recent National Review Story:

‘Bobby identifies as a girl, and he’s a boy,” a Denver mother told a TVstation in a news story about her son, who has been accepted as a Girl Scout.

“He’s been doing this since he was about two years old. He’s loved girl stuff, so we just let him dress how he wants, as long as he’s happy,” she explained.

When she first approached the Girl Scouts’ local troop leader about joining, the answer was pretty sensible: But he’s a boy.

Knights of Columbus Confront Occupy Vatican

Edit: I knew there was a reason for the Knights of Columbus.

VANCOUVER — More than a dozen protesters left the Occupy Vancouver demonstration and stood face to face with church officials over the weekend at the downtown Holy Rosary Cathedral as a planned march to "Occupy the Vatican" made it to the front stairs outside the building before being thwarted.

On Sunday afternoon, up to six Catholic-sponsored Knights of Columbus — as well as a handful of Vancouver police officers — stood guard at the top of the concrete stairs as a breakaway faction of Occupy protesters shouted slogans and demanded answers for atrocities committed at residential schools in years past.

The breakaway faction claims the church sits on native land.

Another Chavez Clone Gets "Lumen Christi" Award

Edit: What is a Lumen Christi Award?  It looks like it's something you get for undermining the Catholic Church's teachings.   Here's a list of the recipients.
Serving "the poorest of the poor"

WASHINGTON – Dominican Sister Gabriella Williams, this year’s winner of Catholic Extension’s Lumen Christi Award, sees her work with migrants and other immigrant workers in Southern California as fulfilling part of God’s plan of love for all of humanity.

“We are all God’s people, brothers and sisters. I support whoever I can because we are part of a big family and all that we do must be centered on God. God is love and I try to live this fact by my example,” she said in a Sept. 20 telephone interview with Catholic News Service.

“I am just a little part in a big puzzle and when we all live as God wants us to, then his plan of love can become a reality,” she added

USCCB News Organ Celebrates Pro-Abort Labor Secretary

Edit: can it really be that the USCCB is not only completely useless and expensive but evil as well? This catholic flavored public official "sometimes attends Mass" and even has some religious iconography in her office. The Catholic Faith motivates her. Did it motivate her to get a 100% approval rating from NARAL when she was a congressperson?  Here's the blurb from Catholic World Report:
Puff piece on labor secretary omits mention of pro-abortion stances
US Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis (CNS)
A news brief on Catholic Culture highlights a recent article by Mark Zimmerman for Catholic News Service, the editorially and financially independent news media division of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The article in question – which will be running in diocesan newspapers all over the country in time for Labor Day – is a puff piece on US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis that focuses on her parents’ inspiring faith and tireless work ethic, as well as how Solis’ Catholic faith “motivates” her.

We get a description of the crucifix and statue of Mary Solis keeps in her office, and are told that she “sometimes attends Masses at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in downtown Washington.” There is also a detailed account of Solis’ many efforts on behalf of the poor, especially migrant workers, during her tenure as a congresswoman from California and then as labor secretary. Solis was the first woman to receive the prestigious John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award, “for her work on environmental justice issues,” the article states.
However, this glowing account of a Catholic public servant fails to mention a couple facts about her time in office, including her 100% pro-choice rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America (and a corresponding 0% rating from the National Right to Life Committee).

ACLU Anderson Continues Attack Against Church

Edit: the Vatican can't even get most parishes to follow the rubriks of the Liturgy or even follow guidelines regarding simple discipline of clerics who publicly disagree with Church teaching. It's not surprising that Bishops like Weakland and others were allowed to create a homosexual funhouse atmosphere which gave Anderson the opportunity to sue for millions.

Jeff Anderson routinely supports the ACLU and the Democratic National Committee. It is widely known that the DNC wants to legalize sexual contacts between adults and minors.

Even President Obama thinks it's a good idea for gids to be sexual.

Moreover, there's a striking similarity between the political and philosophical beliefs of Anderson and many of those he's litigating against.

(Reuters) - A lawyer representing a victim of priest abuse in a lawsuit against the Roman Catholic church said on Monday Vatican documents show the church hierarchy and the pope were ultimately responsible.
A lawyer for the church disagreed, saying the newly released documents show the Holy See was not involved in the offending priest's transfer from Ireland to Chicago and then to Portland, Oregon, where the victim was a minor in the 1960s.

In April, U.S. District Judge Michael Mosman in Oregon ordered the Vatican to produce documents in the case that alleged a cover-up of priest sex abuse.

At the time, the judge's order was termed a "historic step" by attorney Jeffrey Anderson, who sued the Holy See in Rome and U.S. archdioceses and church officials on behalf of an unnamed man in Oregon.
Anderson said on Monday an analysis of the 1,856 documents written in Latin, Italian and English showed the Vatican had direct control over the placement and laicization of Rev. Andrew Ronan, who left the priesthood in 1966 and died in 1992.

Ecumenical Effort Seeks to Undermine Public Order and Violate the Law

Edit:  This particular agenda being pursued "ecumenically" by Catholic and Methodist church leaders has nothing to do with charity itself, and everything to do with "social justice" a codeword for cultural Marxism.
A society has a right to protect itself from the things that threaten it and it's widely demonstrable that illegal immigration is a threat to social order.  Why is it that various church leaders are bent on attacking the social order even against the basic tenets of their respective denominations and the best interests of the co-coreligionists who reside here legally?

Here's what the Catechism of the Catholic Church actually says:

2265 Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm. For this reason, those who legitimately hold authority also have the right to use arms to repel aggressors against the civil community entrusted to their responsibility.

2266 The efforts of the state to curb the spread of behavior harmful to people's rights and to the basic rules of civil society correspond to the requirement of safeguarding the common good. Legitimate public authority has the right and duty to inflict punishment proportionate to the gravity of the offense. Punishment has the primary aim of redressing the disorder introduced by the offense. When it is willingly accepted by the guilty party, it assumes the value of expiation. Punishment then, in addition to defending public order and protecting people's safety, has a medicinal purpose: as far as possible, it must contribute to the correction of the guilty party.6

Never mind that though, those are just guidelines, after all. These church leaders claim that the law attacks charity, but there's nothing to that theological virtue which allows you to ignore the demonstrably negative impact of illegal immigration to the public good and violate the laws of the land.  To be sure, Catholic Bishops in Russia or Mexico would not likely dare to meddle with the internal security there.  Here is the story:

CULLMAN, Ala. — On a sofa in the hallway of his office here, Mitchell Williams, the pastor of First United Methodist Church, announced that he was going to break the law. He is not the only church leader making such a declaration these days.

Since June, when Gov. Robert Bentley, a Republican, signed an immigration enforcement law called the toughest in the country by critics and supporters alike, the opposition has been vocal and unceasing, ranging from civil rights groups to the U.S. Justice Department. This month, church groups joined that list.
An Episcopal bishop, a Methodist bishop and a Roman Catholic archbishop, all based in Alabama, sued on the basis that the new statute violated their right to free exercise of religion, arguing that it would “make it a crime to follow God’s command to be Good Samaritans.”

USCCB Response to Budget Vote in the Legistlature

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bishops to House: Budget Cannot Rely on Disproportionate Cuts in Services to Poor Persons, Requires Shared Sacrifice by All

WASHINGTON—In a July 26 letter to the U.S. House of Representatives, Bishop Stephen E. Blaire of Stockton, California, and Bishop Howard J. Hubbard of Albany, New York, called on Congress to remember the human and moral dimensions of the ongoing budget and debt ceiling debate.

The bishops wrote, “A just framework for future budgets cannot rely on disproportionate cuts in essential services to poor persons. It requires shared sacrifice by all, including raising adequate revenues, eliminating unnecessary military and other spending, and addressing the long-term costs of health insurance and retirement programs fairly.”

Bishop Blaire and Bishop Hubbard respectively chair the Committees on Domestic Justice and Human Development and International Justice and Peace of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

The bishops wrote that every budget decision should be assessed by whether it protects human life and dignity, how it affects “the least of these,” including the hungry and homeless, and how well it reflects the shared responsibility of the government and other institutions to promote the common good of all, especially workers and families struggling in the current economy.

Hippie USCCB Advocates Solidarity Fast with Farm Laborers

Always a big hit with the NCR Sandalistas

USCCB Hippies Can Take Good Ideas and Wreck Them With Faux Radicalism, here on their site. They'd be better off lobbying for an end to invasive planned economies like Rhodesia which has driven the country into famine, or against "green" fuels which increase the cost of food, and also promote world hunger.
