Central Committee of German Muslims Compares AfD to Nazis -- Vatican Radio Agrees

(Rome) Without a critical explanatory note and without giving the attacked AfD the opportunity to make a statement in its defense, Radio Vatican yesterday made the following  folllowing report with the accompanying photo: It shows the "solidarity" over which a very pleased  Aiman Mazyek of the Zentralrat der Muslime in Deutschland (Central Committee of Muslims in Germany) stands with  Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel, Bundespräsident Joachim Gauck und Vizekanzler Sigmar Gabriel after the Islamic attack against the weekly magazine  Charlie Hebdo. This is explained what the official Church in Germany thinks about the  AfD , and who it prefers as a partner in discussion.

D: Zentralrat der Muslime compares  AfD with NSDAP

The President of the  Zentralrats der Muslime in Deutschland has compared the politically right wing  AfD with the NSDAP. In an interview with the NDR, Aiman Mazyek said on Monday, that it is the "first time since  Hitler-Deutschland", that there has been a party that has discredited an entire religious community. And continued saying that the AfD also  existentially threatens.  The Die Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) swims on a wave of Islamophobia. This has become adopted in recent years and is even partly a topic of discussion in respectable circles. The  AfD has tried to intensify this atmosphere. "That isn't an anti-Islamic course, that is an anti-Democratic course," said Mazyek.

"Worrying Trend of Antagonism to Christians" - Arson Attacks Against Churches

Burning Church of Ylivieska
(Helsinki) The number of arson attacks against churches is in a "worrying" trend, says Corrispondenza Romana.  Behind this stands an increasing hostility towards Christians. Two of the latest examples speak for themselves.
On Easter night, a Lutheran church in the Finnish city of Ylivieska was burned.  The old wooden church, which had been built in 1786, was swept away by the flames.  Despite the immediate intervention of the fire brigade, the church could not be saved.
The faithful were appalled. They insisted in celebrating Easter service at the burned church. The firefighters left no doubt. It was arson. Since the fire was set at the Easter Vigil, where the Christians would commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, there is little doubt that this was a targeted anti-Christian action. A 30-year man is said to have been arrested, according to social networks.

Arsons in Calais

Saint Pierre of Calais
The fire of Ylivieska is not an isolated case.  Last January two Catholic churches in France were set on fire. A church in Fontainebleau and in Veneux-les-Sablons. Both churches are consecrated to Saint King Louis IX.
Last Tuesday unknown individuals set fire to the Catholic Church of St. Peter of Calais in northern France. Also in this case, no people were injured. The cultural and moral damage, however, is large.
In Calais the rapid deployment of the fire brigade prevented worse. The organ, a lectionary and altar vestments were damaged. The fire had been set at five different locations. The Mass on Wednesday morning has been canceled because the police had closed the church closed for the investigation.
On Wednesday afternoon because of the sacrilegious attack, a rite of reparation took place instead.  Then  Holy Mass was celebrated. Pastor Pierre Poidevin filed a complaint with the police against the unknown persons.
"Calais, which is flooded with  uncontrolled mass immigration, has experienced, simultaneously with complete indifference of the media and authorities, a criminal form of Christian hostility", said press agency Medias Press Info . The arson in the Saint-Pierre Church was no more than an example.

Arab Men Sexually Assault Mentally Disabled Girls at Swimming Pool

Two mentally disabled girls were assaulted at a swimming my pool in  Herrenberg by three men.  The girls were unaccompanied.  Other guests observed the situation and called the life guard.

[Die Welt] In Herrenberg in the neighborhood of Böblingen, two mentally disabled girls were sexually assaulted by unknown men.

The  12 und 17 year olds sat in a whirlpool as the unknown men accosted and grabbed them.  Other guests observed the situation and informed the life guard, said Peter Widenhorn, communications director for the Ludwigsburg police to  "Welt". The girls were alone.  According to the speaker, they go regularly to the pool where their parents drop them off.

The life guard immediately banned them from the pool. "He had neglected to inform the police," said the police speaker.  They were called upon initially by the parents of the girls, when they made a criminal complaint.  The life guard described the men as young adults from the Arabic world.

The police have still not found the perpetrators.  For this reason they are seeking witnesses who happened to be in  Hallenbad Herrenberg on Sunday Afternoon between four and five o'clock.

In Cologne, the police were involved in a similar case: a twelve year old had alerted the life guard the life guard that a 45 year old man had touched him above his swimming trunks as he went down the pool's slide.

Blasphemy: Koran Suras Recited Over the Grave of St. Martin of Tours

(Paris) "The pope's video   has led the way: certain meetings in the spirit of the New World Religion are now on the agenda," said Chiesa e Postconcilio. On January 17, the Archbishop of Tours, the Cistercian, Bernard Nicolas Aubertin-, are among guests invited. It's not just in his episcopal residence or one of the numerous parish halls, but in the Basilica of St. Martin. Archbishop Aubertin sat in the high choir on 17 January with an Imam, representatives of the Islamic and Buddhist community and other Christian denominations. On the steps of the high choir,  the word Paix (peace) was projected.

The Quran was recited over the tomb of Saint Martin Martin of Tours

St. Martin was third bishop of Tours and was buried after his death in 397 in the city. Above his grave  the great basilica of Saint Martin de Tours was soon built and became a great pilgrimage site of Latin Christendom.
In 732 Tours was the scene of Muslim looting that took place in the Frankish Empire from Spain. Charles Martel, the head of the House of  the Merovingians, defeated them at the Battle of Poitiers and thus stopped the Muslim advance in the West.
In 1562 Protestants set alight the  saint's tomb. Only some of his remains could be saved and buried in the grave anew.
During the French Revolution, the basilica, except for a few, still visible parts, was destroyed. In 1860 the grave of the saint was again exposed and  they started over with the construction of a new basilica. In 1889 a new crypt for the grave was completed, and in 1925 the new basilica was consecrated.

Year of Mercy and Compassion in the Qur'an?

Xavier Gué, the church rector referred in his welcome to Saint Martin, who was a soldier. He had made his sword, with which he could kill the enemy, into an instrument of sharing.
Then all the religious leaders spoke for their respective communities. The Anglican representative quoted the prophet Micah and the Apostle Paul. An Imam sang the Fatiha, the initial chapter of the Koran.
Archbishop Aubertin presented a connection between the Year of Mercy and compassion in Islam.
The Dominican Jean-François Bour, Head of the Department for Interreligious  Dialogue in the   Archdiocese of Tours asked in conclusion for everyone to mutually support each other, to pray for one another and develop a desire "to live with our brothers in a benevolent and honest dialogue".

Toast in the Church

Then all those present were even invited to a "friendship cup" a  drink held in the back of   church.
"It remains completely unclear why church leaders are urged to carry out more and more foreign liturgical events liturgy in the church. If I want to come together with Muslims and Buddhists, then I do it somewhere, but not in the church. What are you offering here to substitute for the Liturgy and the encounter with Christ in the Sacrament?"  Wrote a Catholic from Tours among the comments of Riposte Catholique about the" Interfaith Encounter" at the Basilica.

French Pastor Threatened by Prefect and Punished by His Bishop -- An Unwanted Truth About the Attacks in Paris

To Contact the Bishop and complain
 Mgr Jean-Paul Mathieu
7, rue de la Préfecture 88025 Epinal Cedex
 03 29 82 21 63
http://www.catholique-vosges.fr/

(Paris) The minister spoke of an inconvenient truth and was punished for it, and not by those who he had criticized, but by his superiors.
On Sunday, November 29,  Msgr. François Schneider, the pastor of Wisembach in the Lorraine Vosges addressed the bloody bombings  which had 16 had days earlier shocked Paris in his sermon. He also mentioned that "Satan sang" at the concert in the concert hall Bataclan during the time of the attack of Islamic terrorists,  and thus pointed to a link. In the attack 89 concertgoers were killed, hundreds were injured.

Bishop demanded a public apology from the priest

This statement was made immediately by the competent Bishop, Msgr. Jean-Paul Mathieu of Saint Die. This called for the priest to apologize publicly for his statement, and in turn, to do this in a Sunday Mass. A statement, which Msgr. Schneider was to comply with last December 20 at the end of the liturgy. He is to practice "self-criticism" and read a statement, which - according to Riposte Catholique - was drafted by the bishop. In this the priest expressed his regret that there had been outraged media reactions because of his statements to the laity there present.
According to the daily newspaper Vosges Matin the Department Prefect had even threatened the pastor with criminal penalties on the instructions of the French Ministry of the Interior.  The Catholics of Wisembach are appalled at the harshness against the pastor by  the media, authorities and his superiors. "One wants to put a  muzzle on Christianity" said Corrispondenza Romana of their mood.
The pastor also received numerous expressions of solidarity. Parishioners wrote the local newspaper. It says: "He is a good priest, we have always appreciated. What he is going through, in no way changes our attitude towards him. He has been criticized by those who almost never go to Mass. [This is almost always the case that those who are the most ignorant of Catholicism and do not live its precepts feel they have the most right to criticize it and be heard.] "

Lyrics "inspired by Satanism" - parish was ordered "collective transformation"

Jesse Hughes from Eagles of Death Metal in Bataclan

Pastor Schneider was also defended by Emmanuel Delhourne, the President of the association "Christians in Politics". "What was said by Msgr. Schneider was the truth. The lyrics of the group Eagles of Death Metal is inspired by Satanism," said Delhourne. The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal was playing on stage when the terrorists struck.
The journalist Yves Daoudel expressed the suspicion that behind the whole affair the government desires to suppress unwanted opinions. Also Riposte Catholique wrote: "The Marxist-Leninist dictatorship does not give up, no matter under what name, till the class enemy is destroyed."
The Vicar General of the Diocese of Saint Die which declared: "Our first goal was that Msgr Schneider makes this declaration.  Now it is only to wait andd  watch the thing to consider further. It is still too early to say anything."  He hinted to the fact that the matter had therefore not yet been completed. It became known that a priest who is active in the field of hard rock music, soon to come after Wisembach to provide the Catholic faithful with a "collective transformation" when it comes to hard rock music. "That the Church has such a penchant for self-destruction, is something that not even their most bitter opponents had dared to hope," said Corrispondenza Romana.
At the time when Islamic terrorists struck the Bataclan, the band played Eagles of Death Metal on stage the song "Kiss the Devil". In the chorus of the song, the words repeated in a penetrating way: "Who'll love the devil? Who'll sing his song? I will love the devil and his song! Who'll kiss the tongue of the devil? I'll kiss the devil on his tongue!."
But this part of the story does not seem to fit into the image of the French government, which is why it  the Prefect makes his threats, to apply pressure to the diocese and the media rushing against a country parson.

Church for Muslims -- Parish Hall for Holy Mass

Bremen-Wotlmerschausen: Catholic Parish Church
Transformed as Refugee Center for Muslims
(Berlin) The Church as a multifunctional hall. Some churches serve as exhibition halls, others as dining rooms for Christmas dinner, feeding the poor or charity galas, and still others as a cultural centers for lectures and discussions, and more recently some are used even for refugee accommodations. This is also the case in Bremen-Woltmershausen. The Catholic Church of St. Benedict was rebuilt at public expense into a refugee camp for Muslims.
From the 330 square meter church  "small residential units with around 20 square meters" were built, reported the Weser Kurier .
In the former Catholic church some 40 Muslim refugees are to be moved. The Bremen Senator for Social Affairs, Anja Stahmann inspected the renovated and repurposed church  today with some Muslim refugees and considered the effort to be extremely successful. A Catholic church which has been  rebuilt for Muslims,  it is at last  a sensible use. Green Party politician said, "which is lived charity". Surely, you must know, yes.
For now, the Catholic parish has  made the church available for a year. "Worship should be celebrated in this period in the parish hall," said the Weser Kurier. Why   the Muslims themselves shouldn't   move into the community hall so that the liturgy, the nature of the parish community, can be celebrated in the purpose-built church, was not a quetion asked by the newspaper.

Church made available for a year as a refugee accommodation

"Sacred objects like the altar and the wall Cross remain in the Church", because, according to the newspaper, after one year the church is expected to "be used again for worship". Whether the church was profaned liturgically, Pastor Johannes Sczyrba would not say. He and his parish are rather proud to be the first Catholic community, "which has made their church available, only for a certain time as a refugee accommodation."
The church was built after the Second World War, as 15 million Germans were brutally driven from East Germany and linguistic enclaves in eastern Europe, which increased the number of Catholics in Bremen. The church was built in 1966 and established as a parish in 1993. Today St. Benedict's is only a

Czech President: "Europe and Islam Are Not Compatible"

PRAGUE The Czech President Milos Zeman has spoken out against  Muslim immigration to Europe. "We respect the Islamic countries and their beliefs, as long as its inhabitants do not come to Europe. Because as soon as they come to Europe,  two cultures collide that are not compatible with each other," he said  in an interview with the state news agency TASR. Muslims have yet to have been assimilated in any European country. This proves the incompatibility of Islamic and European culture.
The EU Member States, urged Zeman, should rather invest more in securing the EU's external border than in the reception of refugees.
His country would have received no  asylum seekers,  had they not gone through secure countries before arriving in the Czech Republic. "To bring this stream of refugees under control, means not only to have  the police but also the army sent to the borders and in order to encourage the return of illegal immigrants. Precisely for this reason, because we are not the most secure country  for them," quoted the Austrian news agency APA Zeman as saying. (KRK)

Archbishop Lori Doesn't Give a Damn for His Flock: Cares More About "Human Dignity"

Edit: it's not like he really cares about the Catholics living in the countries being targeted by Islamists, despite his claims to the contrary, which include Rome. Did you see the story about the Muslims who attacked soldiers at St. Mary Major screaming "Allah Akbar"? All of this fits nicely with a story previously put here on the increasingly menacing presence of Muslims in St. Peter's and Rome itself, where Muslims proselytize. Well, if the Pope won't do it, who will?
We wonder if there were any clerics of his stature in the Church who advocated this kind of accommodation when the Crusades were being preached. It's a good thing we had St. Lawrence of Brindisi instead of him.

(Vatican Radio) The Chairman of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ ad hoc Committee on Religious LibertyArchbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, has added his voice to a growing chorus of Catholic Church leaders appalled by the suggestion – which came from a candidate for the nomination of the Republican Party in the United States in the 2016 presidential election – of using a religious test to exclude people seeking to immigrate to the United States.
In an exclusive interview with Vatican Radio, Archbishop Lori reiteratedsentiments first expressed while he was attending a conference at thePontifical Urbaniana University in Rome earlier in December - a conference specifically focused on the persecution of Christian religious minorities. “Certainly we have to guard our borders," Archbishop Lori told Vatican Radio, "certainly the government has to see to the security and the safety of its citizens – no one doubts that – but it raises the greatest of alarms when we do so on the basis of a whole religion.”
“To say, ‘You can’t come in because you are a Muslim,’ – that certainly is a denial of human dignity, it’s a denial of religious freedom,” Archbishop Lori continued, adding, “and it is, I think, very unfair in its characterization of Islam.”

Jihadist Terror Cell Uncovered in Italy, Allegedly Planning Attack Against Pope

(Rome) in Italy a jihadist cell was exposed. The Italian and Kosovar police led in a joint anti-terror operation in Italy and in Kosovo. Four Islamists were arrested on Tuesday. All those arrested are from Kosovo and the Muslims are of Albanian origin. They are accused of having planned an assassination attempt against Pope Francis. "This is the last pope" is a quote from an Internet entry of the aforementioned Islamists.
Internet surveillance is supposed to have brought  the four suspects under investigation. They have published "unique" images which identified them  as sympathizers of the Islamic Stateidentifies (IS). They have regularly visited websites by jihadist groups, and maintain contacts with Islamists in Syria.
The group had directed threats against Pope Francis and Tracey Ann Jacobson, who was until August 2015, the US ambassador in Kosovo. The suspects "celebrated" the attacks in Paris and urged further attacks.
According to police, the group's leader was arrested in Kosovo. Weapons were seized n his house.  The base of the cell, however, is to have been in the Italian province of Brescia, where three other people were arrested.

"We are in your streets"

In recent months, many Muslims were detained in several police actions. At the end of July  two Islamists, a Tunisian and a Pakistani were arrested. They had leaflets with the black banner of the Islamic State (IS) and circulated the text: "Islamic State in Rome. We are in your streets." Similar pamphlets have surfaced in recent years in several Italian cities.
On the day before the attacks in Paris, Islamists were arrested in various provinces, 17 of them in the South Tyrolean town of Merano. Among them is also Abdulrahman Nauroz.   He and his cell, according to police, recruit new fighters for the Jihad militias in Syria and Iraq. Contacts existed in Switzerland and Finland. Whether this group also had contacts with the Islamist scene in Austria and the Federal Republic of Germany, has not been announced by the investigators so far.
Italian security agencies fear that Islamic terrorist militia could be planning an attack in Rome during the Holy Year, which begins this coming December 8.

France: Muslim Faces Three Months in Prison For Refusing to Officiate "Gay Marriage"

Sabrina Hout is being recommended by prosecutors for
three months in prison, because she refused to
conclude a "gay marriage".
(Paris) France teaches you to  rotate the world around yourself and be confused.  Three prosecutors are seeking three months in prison for a Vice Mayor, Socialist and "practicing Moslem"   because she had refused to officiate a "gay marriage."
Sabrina Hout was voted in the municipal elections in 2014 as part of the ruling Socialist Party of Francoise Hollande as  President to the Municipal Council of the VIII. Secteur Marseilles. Actually, the case should have been handled with caution. But it turned out differently. The Marseilles prosecutor, Marie Blanche Regnier, is asking for three months in prison and a fine of 1,500 euros because of "discrimination based on sexual orientation". The young District Vice Mayor in the second largest city in France after Paris refers to herself as "a practicing Muslim" and demanded "respect for her religious beliefs".

"Gay marriage" law does not provide for conscientious objection

Sabrina Hout is the first case in France, where a government representative has been brought to justice, since 2013, the Socialist Party, to which  Hout belongs,  legalized "gay marriage" (Marriage pour tous). The law put in force   by President Hollande does not provide a clause for conscientious objection.
As at 16 August 2014, two lesbians appeared at the city hall of the VIII. Secteur to enter into a "gay marriage,"  while  Hout,  who is responsible for the family area, asked another council to represent them. That would, however, not have been possible for legal reasons. Hout, therefore, had to sign the relevant documents for the couple, but was represented at the ceremony for the actual formal act.

"Instead of Catholics and fascists we have a young, modern, leftist Muslim in front of us"

The Deputy Mayor was denounced in-house. The lesbian "gay marriage"  was first canceled and then subsequently confirmed. The result was that they initiated a complaint against the Deputy Mayor.  District Mayor Samia Ghali, of Algerian descent, also Moslem and socialist as Hout, withdrew her colleague from all responsibilities. The prosecutor opened proceedings for the falsification of documents.
On September 29 Hout will know whether the judges will follow the recommendation of the prosecutor.  The prosecutor referred to her  plea to fight  on behalf of the two lesbians as "legitimate and correct."
The lawyer of the two complaintants, Philipe Vouland, is also pushing for a condemnation, "to set a precedent." Literally he said: "In the fight for marriage for all, the [homosexuals]  associations expect to have to cross  blades with proper heterosexuals,  Catholics,  sexists and fascists. Instead, we came across a young, modern, single, leftist woman,  and Moslem."

Aberrosexual organizations have labelled Hout as a "homophobic monster"

Hout told the court that she had "never wanted to discriminate against  anyone," but just wanted to respec her religious beliefs. She finds support in the Mayors'  Association mayors pour l'enfance.  This found that the Taubira-law legalizing "gay marriage" known as Article 9 of the ECHR,  infringes upon the assurance to every person of freedom of thought, freedom of conscience and freedom of religion.
President Hollande had assured the French Mayors on 20 November 2012: "The law is applied to all, but in respect for freedom of conscience."
2015 brought nothing more to hear. The aberrosexual organizations have branded Sabrina Hout  as a "homophobic monster."  "You have insulted me by calling me a homophobe, which is completely false.  I've been through Hell. My name was in all the newspapers ... At  work I was insulted in every possible way, even as a terrorist and Jihadist!"
The lesbian couple, Claude and Helene, hopes to reach a judgment against Sabrina Hout  that "is an example for the implementation of the law".

Islamists Hunt for Proselytes on St. Peter's Square

Islamic State at St. Peter's Square
Edit: nature abhors a vacuum.  If Catholics scorn proselytism, the Muslims don't.
(Rome) Two women covered from head to toe, and three young bearded men.
They defy the hot midday heat and the sultry air. For a good quarter of an hour they posed for pictures against the backdrop of magnificent facade of St. Peter's Basilica and the mighty dome of St. Peter.
An Islamic family, who, like thousands of tourists every day  mad a commemorative photo, on vacation.
It's an increasingly frequent image that one gets to see in Rome at St. Peter's Square. An image that was completely uncommon a few years ago.

More and more Muslims to St. Peter's in Rome

There is a long way between these innocuous images and when a bearded man was photographed on St. Peter's Square with the black banner of the Islamic State (IS). Or the photo montages with the black flag waving on the dome of St. Peter, published on the internet for the  propaganda purposes of the Islamic State (IS). The Islamists are in the center of Christianity. Images that went around the world and triggered some shudder.
If you stroll through the most visited streets around St. Peter's Square, the Borgo Pio about Borgo Vittorio to Borgo Sant'Angelo, you may find that the many Muslims there, including the particularly strict Salafists and Wahhabis, has become customary, allowed to behold St. Peter's.
The waiters of the restaurants and trattorias that have the safest view of the  bustling throng, confirm it. They come not only as tourists. Some seem like spies, and harbingers of things to come. In the neighborhoods around the Vatican, more and more Muslims are settled. Here and there, are businesses opened that are run by Bengalis, Pakistanis, Tunisians or else a Muslim, next to a kebab shop are bags, towels ...

Victory sign in front of St. Peter's Basilica - "You Want Allah?"

In the weekly supplement Venerdì of the daily newspaper La Repubblica,  Vaticanist Filippo Di Giacomo has written an article: "There is an Increasingly Stronger Presence of Islamic Prayer around St. Peter", about which he reported on the increase of Muslims in Rome and in the streets around the Vatican.
Di Giacomo also reported that it is increasingly frequented by groups of men in oriental sack clothes and beards that take selfies before St. Peter's Basilica. With one hand they hold their smartphone, with the other hand they make a victory sign. The gesture is in need of interpretation, the first thought in any case is not necessarily reassuring.
Di Giacomo especially described the bearded men who ask tourists and locals alike in the streets and squares around   St Peter's: "Do you want Allah? Do you like Allah? "

While the Vatican discusses,  the Vatican neighborhood has the largest Islamic density

From 9 clock in the morning Muslims recruit for Islam in the shadow of the dome of St. Peter every day. They hold the Quran in the air and carry hanging poster boards for Allah and Islam. This appearance is now  frequently seen in many European cities. From Hamburg to Cologne, Stuttgart and Zurich, from Vienna to Berlin they "decorate" the cityscape  in German-speaking countries.
Also in Rome bearded men invite the Moslems to pray to Allah. There is no shortage of larger and smaller to the smallest prayer rooms, sometimes even the backyard of a business  run by Islamic immigrants. Also in the Borghi around the Vatican, they are in existence  and there will always be more.
While their Islamist peers in the Middle East and Africa are hunting down Christians, raping them, driving them into exile, murdering, the  Islamists engage unmolested in prosylitism in St. Peter's Square.
"While the Vatican is  discussing, the Vatican neighborhood already has the largest concentration of Islamic prayer rooms of Rome," said Di Giacomo.

Muslim to be Vice Director for Bavarian Oberammergau Play

An Oberammergau for Nathan the Wise?
Edit: Lessing's Play, "Nathan the Wise", is a bit of syncretistic fantasizing where a Jewish wise man attempts to bridge the gap between Judaism, Christianity and Islam with the help of "wise" Saladin and a helpful Templar. The play sounds a lot like the mediocre film, "Kingdom of Heaven" by Ridley Scott.

Oberammergau Play in 1900
(Munich) At a time when the religious arbitrariness that somehow rhymes with all sorts of isms and ultimately especially with agnosticism and atheism, a Muslim can also be director of the Oberammergau Passion Play. At least second director. For now. That the passion plays depict the crucial five days in the earthly life of Jesus Christ with his saving work for humanity, which a Muslim does not believe, it does not matter. Because if the new director of Oberammergau, the Turk Kenan Abdullah Karaca, does not bring faith, he brings professionalism, and that after all is what matters. Especially since it's more about culture, theater and entertainment than religion.

Artful reasons for the replacement are not lacking. Strengthening internationality is only one. Players are supposed to be from Oberammergau, which goes back to an old injunction, only locals, and finally, Karaca is a native of Oberammergau, so a local. That a native only recently in Bavaria that has a Turkish passport would then still require explanation, but on "such topics" it is indeed better "not to talk too much." And after all, Wulff and Merkel have said that Islam "belongs to Germany."

Whoever is a Bavarian and Christian, is for us to decide

And anyway "No way", say the majority of the city council of Oberammergau. Where would we be then: Who is a resident and who is a Christian, is for us to decide. And we say that the Turk and Muslim Karaca is a Bavarian and a Christian ... or at least a half ... or maybe three-quarters, or ... Aba Sakradi and übahaupt was ma wäidofffa, which means: now and ever we are open-minded. Promise of 1633 or not, since 1990, we have indeed had a Weiberleid (women) under 35 in the play and even Lutherans (Protestants). And just now, Hamma, who is also a Muslim. If that isn't modern.

One can safely assume that Christian Stückl, since 1990, the first director, appointed Karaca precisely because he is Muslim. Abdullah Kenan Karaca has studied directing anyhow and is "proud" of his appointment. Stückl knows him from the Munich Volkstheater. According to the unwritten laws of the culture industry, one has to make a name for themselves, no matter what the cost. Provocations have cult status - at least somehow to stay on cult theme, when thus something quite different is meant. Not all have seen it that way in the council. The vote went from 13 to 5 votes, but "enlightened reason" has triumphed.

Gotthold Ephraim Lessing knew already 236 years ago

That's right, Gotthold is pleased with the appointment. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing indeed already knew 236 years ago, that all religions are equal, in other words these at best are not to be spoken of except insofar as they serve the state to maintain law and order.

Passion plays represent the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ with a Muslim as (vice) director, that's the arbitrary relativism and especially the perfect expression of a politically invoked "welcoming culture". Everything as usual. The message seems pretty clear.

"Soon in deepest Bavaria a determined young Turk will participate in the fortunes of a deeply religious, Christian tradition: for the first time in 380 years, a Muslim will be part of the management team of the Oberammergau Passion Play. Salam Aleikum under wooden cross," exulted numerous media, in this case the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, (the Austrians are still related to the Bavarians.)

Public criticism? "But the issue is too sensitive"

The ORF also provided further illumination: "There are public criticisms of Oberammergau, but the issue is too sensitive." What can be sensitive: The Passion Play, or the fact that Karaca is a Muslim and foreigner? Anyway, the recent Oberammergau decision has a lot to do with modern prohibitions on thinking, which increasingly take hold in the freest country and the freest society on German soil.

The texts of the Passion Play are still being "touched up". The text of the 42nd edition in 2020 is going to be "revised." Who knows, maybe the Christian Passion Drama will even end with Lessing's idea drama of Nathan the Wise.

Bistro or Mosque? A Discussion With Uncertain Outcome -- Imam Proposes Occupying Christian Churches in France

Franciscan allows Muslims to pray facing Mecca, so
that Christians children, "learn how a man prays in Islam."
(Paris) The imam of the Great Mosque of Paris, Dalil Boubakeur said it frankly: "The currently existing mosques are not enough. Their number must reflect the faithful of our religion." And as the construction of new mosques costs and it is not always easy to obtain building permits, why not take advantage of the many vacant Catholic churches standing around in the country of Franceg you?
"This is a sensitive issue, but why not?" Boubakeur wrote in his book "An Open Letter to the French".  Previously, the father of Algerian Boubakeur was imam of the Great Mosque of Paris. The family derives its descent from Abu Bakr, the first caliph after Muhammad's death.
Ultimately, says the Imam, who was the President of the Islamic umbrella organization, Conseil Francais du Musulman, from  2003 - 2008 and 2013 - 2015 (Muslim Cultural Advisory of France), founded by the French Ministry of Culture,  there is a model already, which could be applied large-scale nationwide. In Clermont-Ferrand, the chapel of the Good Shepherd was left to the Muslim community for free for more than 30 years. Ultimately, "it's the same God", as the local superiors stressed.

After criticism the Imam Pulled Back

Given the immediate and above all unexpected protests, Boubakeur backtracked, claiming that he was  misrepresented, he had never asked for like.
The editor of the French magazine La Vie, Jean-Pierre Denis commented a few days ago, ironically: "I was surprised by just how I must confess that the media have taken this lie, although  these ideas appear in black and white on pages 270 / wrote down 271 of his book."
While the media willingly accepted  Boubakeur's lie, there is a reaction from the people: More than 40,000 French people already signed the petition, launched a few days ago: "Stay away from my church."
Among the first signatories there are 25 politicians of the Gaullist right and some intellectuals. Even ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy supports the call.
A survey reported by the Washington Post, emphasized that 80 percent of supporters of Sarkozy's UMP party reject the proposal of the would-be  Mosque transfer.
Among the supporters of the National Front (FN) it is as high as 83 percent.
But even among the voters of the ruling Socialist Party (PS), the enemies of the Boubakeur proposal with 58 percent are clearly in the majority.

Catholic Church itself split on  this issue

Dalil Boubakeur: Convert vacant churches into mosques
Unforeseeable was the split on this issue within the Catholic Church.
Various bishops responded immediately with sharp tones on the proposal and kept them up.
The traditional friendly bishop of Frejus and Toulon, Msgr. Dominique Rey, whose diocese is one of the best placed of France, took the first position.  Without further adieu,  he called Boubakeurs foray as an "insult to our collective memory",  describing the proposal as an attack on "our culture and our roots." Bishop Rey made it clear that "the Churches are neither interchangeable nor omnicultic."
Along the same lines followed Bishop Stanislas Lalanne of Pontoise: "I am absolutely against the idea, that churches could be sold to Muslims and converted into mosques. I understand the need to have places for prayer, but the proposal of Boubakeur is the wrong answer. "
However, some dissenting voices were heard.
Msgr. Michel Dubost, the head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the French Bishops' Conference made it known that it would preferable for him to have  the unused churches as mosques instead of bars and restaurants.
Dubost criticized the petition by stating, "to preserve the church from this fate" the best way is to "participate regularly in the Mass.".

"Churches are sacred places, they can not be used for other purposes"

Opposition came from Bishop Lalanne, who is also member of the Standing Council of the Bishops' Conference: "The churches are holy places. Even if they are not open every day to the faithful, they can not be used for other purposes that are not an expression of the Christian faith. We must not play with the symbols. These places are the memory of generations and generations of believers who have visited to pray," said the bishop.
It is noteworthy that Dalil Boubakeur is by no means an Islamist but is a representative of a "Euro Islam" or "liberal Islam". The imams of the Boubakeur family come from a Sufi tradition. In his interfaith efforts,  his proposals  and his dialogue with the state, Christians, Jews, and also with the Dalai Lama, he seamlessly blends into the secular state doctrine of France. From the Muslim side he is accused of being, as was his father, a Freemason. Evidence can be only so much that he was already a guest of honor in Masonic lodges, in 2002 in Loge Aequitas of the Grand Orient of France, whose roots are in France and Algeria.
Messa in Latino makes Boubakeur a  suggestion: "Our proposal is: Every church that is to meant to be made to the mosque, should be given to a community of tradition. The fruit will not fail. "
