Conciliar Possession

By Don Denis Puga, FSSPX
Le Chardonnet
June, 2017
Father Denis Puga is the new parish priest at the FSSPX Church of Saint-Nicolas du Chardonnet  in Paris, which publishes the newsletter of the same name.

[Rorate] Shortly before undergoing His terrible Passion, Our Lord solemnly warned His disciples: “Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat” (Luke, 22, 31). This warning is also for us today, as the Church, following Her Master, is undergoing a terrible crucifixion. Our Church has been abandoned and betrayed.  Our Church has been taken over.

The prudence of a combatant requires that he must never underestimate his adversary. St. Paul tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the princes of darkness. Our adversary? The Demon himself, the Prince of this world, as Jesus was to point out often with great precision.

We cannot sanctify ourselves outside the present concrete situation of the Holy Catholic Church, the Ark of Salvation which, alone, can lead us safe and sound onto the shores of eternal life.

Now, this Church – we have to acknowledge  is in a catastrophic state, like “a boat leaking water in every side” according to a recent Pope despite the fact the he himself, in his lifetime, contributed  in causing many of the leaks.

Our Church, for some years now, is as if possessed by an alien spirit, not the Spirit of God: this spirit of the Council which has taken possession of everything, which has insinuated its way everywhere. All of it truly resembles diabolical possession.

Some will be shaken up by these words, but wasn’t Christ Himself, at the time of the temptation in the desert, under the physical power of the Demon, who took Him up a mountaintop to offer Him all the kingdoms of the earth?

Monsignor Lefebvre made a similar analysis. At the time of Vatican II, in 1965, referring to Gaudium et spes, he declared: “This pastoral constitution is neither pastoral nor proceeds from the Catholic Church: it does not feed men and Christians the evangelical, apostolic  truth and besides, the Church has never spoken in this way. This voice, we cannot listen to, as it is not the voice of the Bride of Christ. This voice is not the voice of the Spirit of Christ.  We recognize the voice of Christ, our Shepherd.  This one we ignore. It is dressed in sheep’s clothing:  it is not the voice of Christ, but perhaps that of a wolf.” (I accuse the Council, ed. Ichtys, 2002, p. 126).

Dutch Sociologist Sees Diversity Has Failed

To solve the problem of Islamism, Muslims have to realize that "the real enemies that threaten Islam are not in Jerusalem or Washington but in their countries of origin and in the midst of their own communities"

Frankfurt am Main (kath.net) Multiculturalism has failed. This is the opinion expressed by the Dutch Sociologist and researcher Prof. Ruud Koopmans in a contribution by FAS, as idea reports. He himself had long believed that good integration would not place demands on immigrants. He had been convinced that the reason for integration problems, such as unemployment among immigrants or worse education in their children, was a wrong policy because they did not grant people enough rights and did not sufficiently recognize their culture. In the Netherlands, it was a complete failure when the migrants' culture was expanded. For example, Islamic burials were allowed and many state-funded Islamic and Hindu schools were introduced. Public media must fill at least 20 percent of their broadcasting time with programs for minorities. Despite all these measures, immigrants are four times as unemployed compared to people without a migrant background.

The sociologist sees Islamic terrorism in Europe critically. Thus the interpretation prevailed that it had nothing to do with religion, nor with migrant countries of origin, and that society was to blame. He wonders why there is so much violence in the Islamic countries themselves, where there have been no Western military interventions. The problem of Islamic extremism can not be solved until the majority of the Muslims realize "the real enemies that threaten Islam are not in Jerusalem or Washington or among the European right-wing populists, but in their countries of origin and in the middle Their own communities ".

Robber Barron Praises Demonic Luther

Bishop Hails Martin Luther as “Mystic of Grace”

Los Angeles Auxiliary Bishop Robert Barron writes on aleteia.org, that Alec Ryrie's book “Protestants” caused him to look differently at Martin Luther, “for at the core of Luther’s life and theology was an overwhelming experience of grace". He calls Luther’s “religious movement” a “love affair”. And, “Luther was a mystic of grace, someone who had fallen completely in love.”

In realty Luther was a drunkard, who called the Mass “the greatest and most terrible abomination” of all “papal idolatries” (Schmalkald Articles).

He said things like:

“Christ committed adultery first of all with the women at the well about whom St John tell’s us. Was not everybody about Him saying: ‘Whatever has He been doing with her?’ Secondly, with Mary Magdalen, and thirdly with the women taken in adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even, Christ who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died.” (Tischreden, Weimarer Edition, Vol. 2, p. 107).

Or: “I have greater confidence in my wife and my pupils than I have in Christ” (Tischreden, 2397b).

Or: “It is not in opposition to the Holy Scriptures for a man to have several wives.” (De Wette, Vol. 2, p. 459).

Madrid is Infested With Aberrosexual Propaganda -- Epidemiologists Are Concerned

Aberrosexual advertisements in subway with "Anti-Discrimination"
Message
(Madrid) The proportion of homosexuals in the total population is about 1.5 percent. How does this small number explain the extent of homo propaganda? This is currently the question of many in Madrid. The Spanish capital will be hosting the World Cup 2017 from 23 June to 2 July . Epidemiologists see in the homo-spectacles mainly a dangerous cesspool of viruses.

Madrid's LGBT friendly traffic lights

Parliaments enact special laws for the benefit of homosexuals, confer privileges on them, limit freedom of expression, threaten homosexuals with law enforcement. How is it that their banners are hoisted at city halls and parliaments? We have to make certain that city governments waste tax money to install homophilic traffic lights? How do we explain that the largest international corporations are overhaped with homophilic gestures and homosexuals?
Currently, Madrid is threatened with homophobia due to the World Pride 2017. It comes from the city - over the regional government, from media and corporations. And everything is unmanageable. It is forced on the population.

Food in LGBT friendly packaging at McDonald's

The subway is immersed in gay colors with the message "Rainbow is the new black". The fast food chain McDonald's has changed the packaging for the homo-meeting. The left-wing mayor of Madrid, Manuela Carmena had the traffic lights made "LGBT friendly" remodeling (288 traffic lights at 72 intersections in 21 districts).
That it is not just a game with the colors of the rainbow is openly admitted. Cathy Martin, spokeswoman for the McDonald's PRIDE Network , the giant's homo action, is talking about a "strategic campaign".
The restaurant chain internally promotes the careers of people from Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East, blacks, Latin Americans, homosexuals and women. In addition, "intercultural learning" is promoted. It follows that, according to "corporate philosophy", the enemy is white, male and possesses a cultural identity.

Madrid's city government shows "gay pride"

Google is also streaming the homosexual flowers flowing from June 23rd to July 2nd. If the Spanish Google search service was used last, the results were served with homo colors. It seems to have been a question. During the World Pride 2017 Google  will be homo-colorful.
How is this homo-hype explained for an event that would be forbidden on health grounds alone. The Europride, which took place in Amsterdam in 2016, became the starting point for a hepatitis A epidemic. With the World Pride in Madrid the next virus cesspool is coming.
The state health authorities are obliged to prevent epidemics. For homo-events, these rules do not apply to better knowledge at the moment. No one will be prompted to promote this harmful behavior.Victims are subsequently also uninvolved third parties.
How massive the freedom of opinion and freedom of religion are curtailed shows a serious contrast: While state institutions massively propagate homo propaganda, in the same city of a private organization was forbidden to use a bus advertising to promote natural law and the natural order of marriage and family.

AfD-Faction Threatened With Anthrax

Hamburg Parliament: picture alliance/dpa

HAMBURG. Allegedly left-wing extremists have threatened the AfD faction in the Hamburg Parliament with an anthrax attack. On Wednesday, the faction received a threatening letter with a bag containing flour. The letter read: "G20. Bag content today: Flour. On July 7th, And 8.7. 2017 Anthrax. "According to information from JUNGE FREIHEIT, other factions in the Parliament have also received similar threats.
On the two days, the G20 summit will be held in Hamburg, where US President Donald Trump will also be expected in Germany for the first time. The President of the AfD Group, Bernd Baumann, sees the threat as a new dimension in political debate and a low point of political culture." Extreme Left terrorists are afraid of those who think differently and threaten them with the deadly substance Anthrax," he complained.
The police are switched on
The red-green Hamburg Assembly proposed to promote left-wing extremism through financial donations and the provision of premises. Baumann is calling for a change of course: "It is absolutely absurd to foster enemies of democracy, who are partly fighting our state by force." A faction spokesman told the JF: "We handed the parcel in question to the police now. We are convinced that they will take the incident seriously. "(Tb)

Agitation About Fashion Show in Cologne Church

Within the framework of the "Fashion Show Le Bloc 2017", a catwalk was also held in a Cologne church, with the consent of the Archbishopric of Cologne

Cologne ( kath.net A fashion show in a Cologne church in the context of the "Fashion Lebloc 2017" last Saturday is currently leading to the shaking of heads in the Archdiocese of Cologne. The event took place in the Church of St. Michael on the Brussels Square. During the catwalk through the church different styles were presented (see photo).

Norbert Bauer, the responsible pastor, defends the event and sees the dignity of the church space "respected" by the Fashion Show. The event was coordinated with the Archdiocese of Cologne. At the opening, he said, "Fashion design is about beauty.  Fashion creators want to make people even more beautiful  than they are as creatures of God anyway, but since we as human beings are very different, they do us a big fashion with fashion," because beyond fashion trends and "must-haves," they will be able to give each and every one their own style, which expresses one's own individuality, and this is exactly what the fashion show "Diversity" wants to achieve this year. Whether it is small or big, whether it is slender or curvy, and that is why we are happy to have entered into cooperation with Le Bloc this year, because that is my conviction, that everyone is recognized by God as they are."

General Superior of the Heralds of the Gospel Resigns (Avoiding the Fate of the Franciscans of the Immaculate?)

Investiture of the Members of the Third Order.  Order and Discipline
Which is a Thorn in the Side of Liberals

(Rome) The founder and first Superior General of the Lay Community of the Heralds of the Gospel (Evangelii Praecones) and the Order, Community of Virgo Flos Carmeli, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Días, has resigned from office. He announced this step in a letter of June 2nd, yesterday. Is there suspicion in the Church, of that which attracts many vocations?

João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder and Superior General of the Heralds of the Gospel and Confreres.

Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder and Superior General of the Heralds of the Gospel.

The Heralds of the Gospel and the male and female branches are a young, traditionally based foundation, which originates from Brazil and is now represented in 80 countries of the world. The charism of the community is strongly missionary and Marian. The Heralds originated in the 1970s, when the founder and other young men personally felt the need for a deepened religious and communal life. The actual development as a lay community and then as a branch of the Order took place in the mid-nineties.

The Heralds of the Gospel are the first lay community of pontifical right, recognized by Rome in the third millennium. They therefore also see themselves as "Heralds" of the third Christian millennium. Not for a progressive, but for a renewed, faithful Church. The recognition of the lay community took place with Pope John Paul II. The recognition of the two branches of the order (societies of the Apostolic Life without perpetual vows, but with promises of celibacy) took place in 2009 with Pope Benedict XVI.

In 2005, the first priests were consecrated, including the founder, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Días, whom Pope Benedict XVI. conferred as a sign of appreciation and recognition in 2008, the title of honorary canon at the patriarchal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

Fast-growing, missionary community - Numerous vocations

Today the priestly branch of the Community already has 120 priests and 20 deacons. The two societies of the Apostolic Life include more than 4,000 members. Heralds of the Gospel are over 40,000.

Quickly Growing, Missionary Community. They are Now Available in 80 Countries.

While John Paul II and Benedict XVI. completely stood behind the traditional, missionary community, Pope Francis suddenly changed this relationship. The tradition, the special worship of Our Lady of Fatima, the community discipline of an army which is already expressed in the name of "Heralds," the rigor in youth formation, rapid growth and numerous vocations, have aroused suspicion, envy and resentment in other ecclesiastical circles. It's a negative attitude of which even the Holy See is not free of under Francis.

João Scognamiglio Clá Días will complete his 78th birthday on the Feast of the Assumption. By his resignation he seems to want to save himself from the like that of the Franciscans of Immaculata. The Congregation of Religious, which has already unjustly and acquisitively subjected the Franciscans of the Immaculata, had already set up in recent weeks to take action against the Heralds of the Gospel.

Russian Greek Catholic Church Feels Neglected by Rome

The small church of the Byzantine rite, unified with Rome, has met for its first synod in a century. It wants its own bishop and resources for priestly education.

Bergamo (kath.net/jg) The Russian Greek Catholic Church accuses Pope Francis not to taking their concerns into account so as not to jeopardize the approach to the Russian Orthodox Church. This has been reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The leadership of the church, which is unified with Rome, wishes for its own bishop and resources for priestly formation. Currently, the Russian Greek Catholic Church is headed by Joseph Werth SJ, the Latin diocesan bishop of Novosibirsk.

"The survival of the Russian Greek Catholic Church is at stake," says Lawrence Cross, one of her priests, who lives in Melbourne, Australia. The head of the Russian Greek Catholic Church is meeting for the first synod for a century in Bergamo (Italy).

The relationship with the Russian Orthodox Church is strained. The Moscow Patriarchate tolerates the Greek Catholic clergy in Russia. However, a bishop of the Greek Catholic Church in Russia is unacceptable to the Orthodox, says Ronald Roberson, an adviser to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the United States. [But Orthodox Bishops in Italy are acceptable?]

With fewer than 30,000 members, the Russian Greek Catholic Church is one of the smallest churches in Rome. Most of them live outside Russia. There are communities in Western Europe, the USA, South America and Australia.

Is an Apostolic Commissar Ready to Destroy the Next "Too Pious" Order?

Seminarians Pray in the Church of the Brazilian Mother House of the "Heralds of the Gospel": Are they the next target of the Congregation of Religious? Too many vocations, too rapid growth, too pious, too friendly to tradition, too Marian?

(Rome) Has Pope Francis already assigned an apostolic commissioner for the next, "too pious" order?

The fate of the Franciscans of the Immaculate could soon befall the Heralds of the Gospel (Evangelii Praecones, EP). This lay community was founded as a youth movement by the Third Order Carmelite João Scognamiglio Clá Dias in Brazil. The inspiration for the name came from the encyclical Evangelii Praecones, which Pope Pius XII. published in1951 about mission.

The Heralds of the Gospel

João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, born in 1939, son of a Spaniard and an Italian, was a member of the Marian Congregation in Sao Paulo and in 1956 a member of the Third Order of Carmelites. He studied law and did his military service in the Airborne Ranger. Subsequently, he turned to the study of philosophy, theology and the right of the Church. At the university, he became a leader of the Catholic student body, which opposed the 1968 student protests.

Heralds in the Basilica of Our Lady of the
Rosary

The real development of the Heralds of the Gospel began at the same time in the 1960s, when João Scognamiglio Clá Días, Pedro Paulo de Figueiredo and Carlos Alberto Soares Corrêa gathered a group of young Catholics in Sao Paulo to pray in silence, deepen their spiritual life, and to discuss current questions in the Church and in the world. The goal was missioning and evangelization.

In the seventies the desire for a common life arose. The founder and two companions retired to a former Benedictine abbey to deepen their spiritual life in silence and prayer. Of the first companions, no one left, but new ones were added. They first arranged a Marian consecration, began to pray liturgy of the hours together and finally gave themselves a first rule. This resulted in the development of a community life for men and, in 1996, of women. The foundation stone was laid for a flowering male branch, the Societas Clericalis Vitae Apostolicae Iuris Pontificii Virgo Flos Carmeli, and a female feminine branch, Societas Vitae Apostolicae Iuris Pontificii Regina Virginum.

The Heralds of the Gospel were recognized in 2001 by Pope John Paul II as an International Private Association of Believers. They are thus the first ecclesial community to receive this recognition in the third millennium. The two societies of Apostolic Life were consecrated in 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. canonically established with papal law.

The laity movement also led to the vocation of the priesthood. In 2005, the first priests were consecrated, including the founder of the Heralds himself at the age of 64 .

The Community is now active in about 80 countries, and only 12 years after the first consecration, has already 120 priests and about 20 deacons. The two societies of consecrated life have, after 20 years, more than 4,000 members, two thirds of whom are men, one third of women. Heralds of the Gospel are around 40,000 worldwide. Anyone who reads the figures of the past ten years sees the massive growth of the movement, which was begun under the pontificate of Benedict XVI. João Scognamiglio Clá Días is Superior General of the Heralds and the Society of Consecrated Life. Since 2008 he has also been an honorary fellow at the patriarchal basilica Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

"Under Francis They Are Already Suspicious of Those Who Had Contact with Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira"

According to "an intimate, internal source",  says Tosatti, a "task force" from the Congregation of Religious, headed by the Brazilian Cardinal João Braz de Aviz and the Spanish Franciscan José Rodriguez Carballo, was being assembled to investigate the Heralds. The group is to consist of a bishop, a religious and a church lawyer. "Nothing is known about the reasons for this initiative," says Tosatti, which recalls the Franciscans of Immaculata. Even after four years of the provisional administration, the Vatican has not yet given any reason for the drastic intervention of this traditional order, which had been flourishing until 2013.

It is obvious, according to Tosatti, that the founder of the Heralds of the Gospel, João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, was in touch with Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira to make him "suspicious". Corrêa de Oliveira, who died in 1995, was a mastermind and leader of the Catholic tradition in Brazil. Clá Dias worked for many years in the Brazilian Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Private Property (TFP) founded by Corrêa de Oliveira. On Corrêa de Oliveira's initiative, the Knights of the Gospel emerged, which Clá Dias led after his death, but led away from the social-political struggle and intensified religious life. This is a development expressed by the founding of the Societies of Consecrated Life and its own priestly members. Nevertheless, he calls Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira the "prophet of our time".

The community consists primarily of young people who are distinguished by their discipline. The members of consecrated life do not make vows, but commit themselves to celibacy and devote themselves entirely to the apostolate. They live in houses separated by sex. Their daily routine alternates between Liturgy (Holy Mass, Liturgy of Hours), Prayer (Rosary), study and especially evangelization. To this end they are called in dioceses and parishes, they are missionaries in the streets and go to prisons. The emphasis is on youth work. The religious dress, which is modeled on medieval heralds, is striking. It is equal for men and women, and represents the most visible continuity between the Knights of Corrêa de Oliveiras and the Heralds of Clá Dias.

The two societies of consecrated life are active in the field of art, culture and youth education, which is due to the fact that the founder Clá Dias sees a particularly suitable means of evangelization in music. In addition to activities in schools and universities, they are concerned with communities of elderly care, and they are mainly active in marginal areas, which is also to be understood geographically, for example, in the case of Feuerland.

Cardinal Braz de Aviz: "Throwing a watchful eye on new ecclesiastical realities"

"It is unclear for what reason this apostolic visitation will take place," says Tosatti. Cardinal Prefect Braz de Aviz had recently indicated that it was "appropriate" to raise a watchful eye on this "new ecclesial reality". Why? Because founders sometimes turn out to be "unsuitable," the Cardinal says, "to deal with the many vocations. In the case of the Franciscans of the Immaculate Heart, the Congregation of Religious, with the approval of Pope Francis, radically intervened, dismissed the whole order's leadership, and appointed Commissioners without mentioning any reason. The decision of the Order, founded in 1990, to return from the Novus Ordo to the traditional form of the Roman Rite in 2008, was the bone of contention.

Priests of the Order

After the Congregation of Religious failed to lay hands on the real estate of the Order with the help of the secular jurisdiction, the pressure on Father Stefano Maria Manelli, who had been deposed and held under house arrest, was recently increased to induce the lay associations to surrender the assets. At the same time, the Congregation of Religious does not shrink from threatening canonical sanctions against the implacable former Superior General, now 84 years old.

The Franciscans of Immaculata have been under the tutelage of the Papal Commissioner for four years. The Commissioner has just recently finished with the Institute of the Word of Flesh (IVE), an Order founded in 1984 in Argentina, which also attracts numerous vocations. Currently, the order includes around 800 priests, 2,000 religious women and more than 700 seminarians. It operates on all five continents, including the ballyhooed geographical and Catholic "periphery" such as Tajikistan, Papua New Guinea, Iceland, Palestine, Russia, Tunisia, Ukraine, Albania, Taiwan and Egypt. The order is divided into ten provinces, one vice-province and three delegations. In the Federal Republic of Germany, there has been a center of faith in the Archdiocese of Berlin since 2010, and since 2016, a branch with support of the pilgrimage church on the Mariahilfberg near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate (Diocese of Eichstätt). The branch of the Order of the Virgin Mary, Door of the Sunrise, which includes parts of Central and Northern Europe, also has branches in Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The Heralds of the Gospel do not yet have branches in the German-speaking world.

Tosatti's summary:

"Apart from more or less real problems and more or less justified accusations against the founders, these communities have three essential similarities: they are committed to the tradition of the Church (therefore, the more Thomas than Rahner supporters, are characterized by a strong worship of Our Lady of Fatima and are active in the right to life of unborn children), many vocations (which are more suspicious nowadays in church hierarchies and bishops) and have considerable financial resources. "

Pope Francis Threatens to Suspend Entire Diocese A Divinis

(Rome) Pope Francis threatens to suspend all priests of a whole diocese in Nigeria a divinis. The ultimatum expires on July 8th.

The conflict is already going back to 2012. At that time Pope Benedict XVI., shortly before retiring his office, assinged a new bishop for the diocese of Ahiara.

The priests and faithful of the diocese have since hindered the new Bishop Peter Ebere from taking possession of his diocese because he does not belong to the Mbaise people as did his predecessor.

Monsignor Okpaleke is Ibo. Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Archbishop of Abuja, has been an Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara ever since.

The Ahiara diocese was established by Pope John Paul II in 1987 and is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Owerri. Bishop Okpaleke is only the second bishop of the diocese. The number of Catholics in the diocese is more than half a million or about 80 percent of the population. The number of diocesan priests has increased from less than 50 to more than 130 since its establishment.

Last Thursday the Vatican press office announced that Pope Francis had received a delegation from the Ahiara diocese in private audience, accompanied by Cardinal Onaiyekan and Bishop Opaleke. The delegation undertook an ad limina pilgrimage  to the tombs of the apostles in Rome.

Discussions about "the tormented situation of the church in Ahiara" also took place with the Cardinal Secretary.

In the audience with Pope Francis, he explained to the delegation that the situation in Ahiara was "unacceptable".  After "careful consideration", he maintained there would be "appropriate measures".

What the Press Office did not communicate so directly, but the intelligence service Fides wrote: Pope Francis gave an ultimatum, primarily to the priests of the diocese. Either they accept within 30 days without reservation the appointed bishop, or they will be suspended a divinis. The ultimatum has been public since Thursday.

Invader Rapes 14 Year Old Girl -- Faces 3-4 Years

HAMBURG. [Junge Freiheit]  The rape of a 13-year-old girl in Hamburg may not be punished as a child abuse. On Thursday the presiding judge, the prosecutor's office as well as the defense, came to an agreement. Negotiations are now being made on account of the allegation of rape, but not on account of the original allegation of serious sexual abuse of a child.

The accused is a 30-year-old asylum seeker from Iraq. He is said to have brutally raped the now 14-year-old in November 2016 at the S-Bahnhof Jungfernstieg. The student had previously celebrated with friends on the Rathausmarkt and was drunk. They also met a group of men to whom the Iraqi belonged.

The defendant wants to confess

When the girl was going home at around 3 in the morning, the Iraqi grabbed her at the S-Bahnhof Jungfernstieg from behind, dragged her into a room and he fled. After the deportation, the asylum seeker escaped to Hungary, but was arrested and handed over to Germany at the beginning of March.

According to the judge, the defendant could not have known without doubt that the girl was only 13 years old, reports the Hamburger Abendblatt. Therefore, the parties agreed to abandon the allegation of child abuse. In this way, the girl, who still suffers from the act, can be spared a statement.

The defense has announced that the Iraqi wants to make a confession in the course of the proceedings, which will be continued in the middle of June. The judge signaled that he would have to face a term of imprisonment between three and three and a half years. (Krk)

Rainbow Flags on Fatima Pilgrimage Church for "Pride"?

(Fatima) The month of June is claimed by the homo-movement as "la "month of Gay  pride". Montserrat Sanmartí Fernández reported on the Spanish blog Como Cara de Almendro last Tuesday: "New profanation in Fatima. Homo flag on the pillars of the sanctuary. "
To this end the blog published a photo of the old pilgrimage church with the surrounding  pillars. It can be seen that, on each side of the church, six-color cloths were placed on each of the  pillars on the porch, which are strikingly similar in the general view to the Aberrosexual flag.
In the Catholic Church, the rainbow flag is common and a much older symbol than the homo-flag, which has only been recognized since 1989.. The rainbow is the symbol of the Old Covenant between God and man and is used in the Christian context as a symbol of peace.
The Christian symbol and the homo-flag are almost identical and can not be distinguished by the untrained eye. In the meantime, the "rainbow flag", as the pride flag as it is also called in English speaking lands, was largely adopted by Gay Pride Movement. That it is also a Christian peace symbol will no longer be known to many.
The difference between both flags is the number of colors. The Christian flag has seven colors, the homo flag only six. In Fatima, only six colors are shown, but the colors and the color arrangement do not match the homo-flag.
The accusation that the homo flag is being shown in the place of pilgrimage is therefore not true, but shows how sensitive believers have become through the penetrant propaganda of homo-organizations - and, unfortunately, also what trust believers today have for Church leaders.
The colorful flags, as the directorate of the place of pilgrimage communicated, were installed because of the imminent pilgrimage to Fatima, which will take place on the 10th of June.

SSPX Ordinations Recognized as Licit and Valid by Rome

The Society was authorized to carry out priest ordinations without the consent of the local bishop. The consecration is therefore not only valid, but also allowed, says Bernhard Fellay, the superior of the FSSPX.

Vatican (kath.net/CWN/jg) The Bishops of the Priestly Society of St. Pius X (FSSPX) may consecrate priests with the consent of the Vatican. This was announced in an interview by Bernard Fellay, the FSSPX Superior General.

He had received a letter from Rome last year. He had been told that his Society priests could be consecrated without the consent of the local bishop. The priestly ordinations of the Society were therefore not only valid, but also allowed, Fellay added.

This is another step in the approach between the Society and the Vatican, said the Superior General. Under Pope Benedict XVI And Pope Francis, relations have improved. Benedict XVI Lifted the excommunication of the Society in 2009. The confessions and nuptials of the FSSPX have been recognized under Pope Francis. In October 2016 Bernard Fellay was received at the Vatican.

Priest Driven Out by Leftist Senior Citizens in Rural Southern Parish

Edit: the article is more fair than we would expect, although no mention is made of the elderly people who make up the 100 or so people who somehow like the music of Marty Haugen and are only nominally Catholic. One wonders how this priest couldn't have just waited them out or at least invited them to attend a Unitarian Church where they belong?  Sadly, the fight of an Archbishop Lefebvre or a Father Leonard Feeney is not in plentiful supply?
Also, what happened to the South?
[South Carolina] The pastor of a Catholic church in the N.C. mountains whose conservative leadership style split the congregation and drew national media attention has resigned.
In a Facebook post, the Rev. Christopher Riehl of St. John the Evangelist parish in Waynesville wrote that he was “worn out or burned out” and for his own well-being needed to take a sabbatical.
He did not mention the rancor at the parish, where he’s been pastor for nearly three years, or the petition by more than 100 members to have him removed. It was sent to Bishop Peter Jugis, who leads the 46-county Catholic Diocese of Charlotte.

The National Catholic Reporter published a January article on the clash between Riehl and many parishioners in the church of about 250 families. Some of those members have left St. John’s. The article cast the divide as one of a new pastor who preferred traditionalist approaches to the liturgy and church governance versus parishioners who cherished what had been St. John’s post-Vatican II style of a greater role for the laity and more modern worship and music.Vatican II refers to the Second Vatican Council of the early- to mid-1960s, when the Roman Catholic Church, for example, permitted the use of local languages for a Mass that had traditionally been celebrated all over the world in Latin.

According to the National Catholic Reporter article, Riehl threw out popular hymns and replaced them with the ancient Gregorian chant. When the music director was relieved of her duties, the article said, most of the choir resigned.
A group calling itself Appalachian Catholics in the Smoky Mountain Region said in a statement earlier this year that Riehl and some other conservative priests assigned by Jugis to small parishes in the mountains “seem to be more intent on taking the church back to pre-Vatican ll days rather than minister to the people. They seem to be steeped in doctrine and theology, but are unwilling to participate in ecumenical activities, and are lacking in compassion, love and mercy. They are doing the job of the theologian, but not the job of the pastor. This is directly opposed to what Pope Francis and Vatican II are teaching us.”
But Riehl and like-minded priests had support from conservative Catholics. "This is sad and quite disturbing,” Thomas Raffo wrote on St. John’s Facebook page, below the news about Riehl’s resignation. “It is my belief that Father Riehl was run off by some snooty Liberals who didn't care for his traditional approach to the Mass.”
In his June 4 Facebook post to members of his “parish family,” Riehl wrote that his leaving was not prompted by anything other than his own need to take some time away from parish ministry.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I have decided, of my own free will and my own instigation, to resign my position here at St. John’s,” he wrote. “I have found that I am worn out or burned out and for my own well being need to take a sabbatical. There was no incident or event, just a feeling that I need some time away from full parish ministry. I have absolutely no questions or doubts about my vocation to the Priesthood of Christ.”
It seems likely that Riehl will leave the Diocese of Charlotte, too. Asked if Riehl, who had previously been assigned to a diocese in Tennessee, will get another assignment from Jugis after his sabbatical, Hains said, “I don’t think so.”
Hains was also asked whether Jugis had directed Riehl to resign. “What (Riehl) has in the statement is self-explanatory,” Hains said.Besides the petition sent to Jugis, critics of Riehl also wrote to Pope Francis and to Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the pope’s representative in the United States as Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See.
Ann Simmons, who left St. John’s because of Riehl and has been attending a Catholic church in Maggie Valley, said in a statement Tuesday that “As a prayerful people, we pray (Riehl) is restored to good health and the reconciliation of current and past parishioners of St. John’s will begin to take place.”
But parishioner Christine McQueen Ryan, who stayed at St. John's, thanked Riehl in a Facebook comment: “Sending Love, Prayers, and thankfulness for all of your efforts to draw us closer to our Lord and our God. May your journey be filled with the peace of our Lord. Pax Christi.”

Something Worth Reading

As the Vatican II generation continues to die off, it is so often a relief to see young people with real ardor for our holy religion replacing them. One of these, apparently, is Matthew Walther. His latest piece at The Week is well worth reading.

It is regrettable, however, that Mr. Walther holds Pope John Paul II in such high regard. That the Holy Father had no gift for governance and thereby failed at his duty as pope is beyond dispute. Mr. Walther is to be commended, nonetheless, for in effect calling Mr. Pence to repentance. We at the EF second that call.

Cardinal Turkson: "The Exit Door of Benedict is Always Avalilable for Francis"

(Lisbon) The Portuguese daily Sol published an interview with Cardinal Peter Turkson on 3 June. The cardinal from Ghana also entertained the possibility of Pope Francis' resignation.
The Cardinal was President of the Pontifical Council Iustitia et Pax and since 2016 has been the first prefect of the new Pontifical Council for the Holistic Development of People, in which he had formerly acted as an advisor.

Excerpt from the interview

The daily newspaper Sol, in the words of Cardinal Turkson, mentions in a meaningful way: "The exit door of Benedict is always there for Francis."
Sol: Is it possible that Francis should follow the example of Benedict XVI. and resigns?
Cardinal Turkson: I do not know if he will. This is a matter between him and God. But it is also true that what Benedict has done has become a part of the institution. This means that the freedom to do so is always given.
Sol: You mean, even if he does not open the door, the door is always there?
Cardinal Turkson: Definitely. This can happen.

Controversial figure of an "emeritus pope"

This continuing "development" of the institution of the papacy by the office of Benedict XVI. and the unusual way he continued to dress himself as a pope, to keep his pope's name and to be an "emeritus pope" is very controversial. Cardinal Walter Brandmüller described the figure of an emeritus pope as a "great danger " for the unity of the Church.
Against the attempted institutionalization of an "emeritus pope," Church lawyers even vehemently raised their voices. For the renowned Church lawyer Giuseppe Sciacca, curial bishop and secretary of the apostolic signatura, the figure of a emeritus pope is " theologically and legally untenable." On the other hand, in May 2016, Archbishop Georg Gänswein spoke in a lecture, which triggered violent reactions ( see also ).

Resignation signals from Pope Francis?

In the past half-year the discussion about a possible resignation of Pope Francis, which he himself has suggested as such, has intensified. The historian Roberto de Mattei, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Francis, and in connection with the unaddressed Dubia (doubts) of prominent cardinals, wrote on the controversial post-synodal letter Amoris laetitia that in the course of 2017 it can not be ruled out that Francis  may take the bull by the horns and resign
The Argentine weekly magazine Perfil interpreted the words of Francis from 30th May as resignation signals . The Pope had said in the morning sermon in Santa Marta:
"We shepherds must all say farewell. There comes a moment when the Lord tells us, "Go somewhere else, go there, go there, come to me.""
Perfil wrote:
"Francis today nurtured the idea, like his predecessor, to resign his office before his death."
