Pope Francis Receives Left-Wing Trade Union for the First Time

CGIL, one of Europe's largest left-wing trade unions, received in audience by Pope Francis.

(Rome) An unusual premiere took place yesterday in the Great Audience Hall of the Vatican. Pope Francis received the leadership and a large delegation of the left-wing trade union CGIL in a special audience.

The Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro (CGIL),  General Italian Trade Union Confederation, was founded in 1944 by the communists, socialists and Christian democrats united in the struggle against fascism and its National Socialist allies, i.e. the forces that were to determine Italian post-war policy until 1992. When the Stalinist, strictly Moscow-oriented Communist Party (PCI) wanted to use the CGIL and the alliance after 1945 to turn Italy into a Soviet republic, the trade union unity that still exists in the German-speaking world today collapsed. In 1948/1950, the Christian trade unions and those socialists who wanted to escape the close embrace of the Communist Party separated from the CGIL and founded their own trade union confederations, the Christian CISL and the socialist UIL. In the political fragmentation, other trade union confederations were added. However, the three leagues confederated and were granted by the state the exclusive right to conduct collective bargaining.

From 1948 at the latest, the CGIL was the trade union of the communists and the popular frontists. Anyone who was a union member did not have to be a party member. But those who wanted to become politically active had to do so in the Communist Party. Dissent was not tolerated. In the troubled 70s, when the turn to the left seemed possible, non-orthodox leftists tried to take over the Christian trade union in order to lead it into a popular front with the communists and thus prepare the establishment of a "people's democracy".

The CGIL now has 5.5 million members (CISL 4.1 million, UIL 2.2 million). The largest non-Confederate union today is the UGL, founded in 1996 with 1.8 million members, which is close to Matteo Salvini's Lega and Giorgia Meloni's Fratelli d'Italia.

While the CISL always maintained good contacts with the Christian Democrats and the Church, the CGIL stood on the anti-Church barricades. All socio-political struggles against the natural order were supported by the CGIL propagandistically, financially and on the streets, especially the legalization of the killing of unborn children. Most recently, it has called for discrimination against doctors who, for reasons of conscience, refuse to assist in abortions.

The Italian Communist Party underwent some metamorphoses from 1991 onwards when, after the collapse of the Eastern Bloc and the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it changed its name to the Party of Democratic Socialism (PDS), then to the Left Democratic Party and finally to the Democratic Party following the US model. (PD). The latter is a joint project of the former communists and the former left wing of the Christian Democrats. At the trade union level, however, no rapprochement had so far been shown because of the strong Christian trade union.

Under Pope Francis, whose embrace of the political left is well known, new alliances are emerging, as was the case yesterday with the first large audience for the hard-left trade union CGIL, which is still the trade union rallying point of the radical left.

Work, Peace, Fraternity. Pope Francis with GGIL Secretary General (Chairman) Maurizio Ladini (prevented)

In his extensive criticism of abuses in the world of work to the detriment of workers, Pope Francis managed to address the "pandemic years" without finding a word of comfort for the incredible harshness with which the Italian governments at the time forced entire professional groups such as doctors, medical personnel, police, military, teachers to "vaccinate" with an experimental genetically modified preparation or were suspended without salary. Francis also did not find a word about the fact that the Italian state imposed a fine on all over 50-year-olds who did not "get vaccinated" (the payment of which was suspended by the new government until June 30, 2023) and excluded them from the world of work.

Why the Pope is silent on this is obvious: because he himself had introduced these hardships even more radically for the employees of the Vatican State and the Holy See. Measures that have not yet been repealed. Why Francis, however, partly imitated these radical measures, and partly anticipated them, is still unclear.

Here is the full translation of his address to the leadership and the numerous delegation of the General Italian Trade Union Confederation CGIL:

Dear Brothers and Sisters, good morning!

I welcome you and thank the Secretary-General for his words. This meeting with you, one of Italy's historic trade union organisations, invites me to renew my attachment to the world of work and, in particular, to the people and families who are struggling the most.

There is no union without workers, and there are no free workers without unions. We live in a time which, despite technological progress – and sometimes precisely because of this perverse system called technocracy (cf. Laudato Si', 106-114) – has somewhat disappointed expectations of justice in the field of work. This requires, first and foremost, a new beginning in terms of the value of work as a place where personal vocation and social dimension meet. Work enables man to realize himself, to live in brotherhood, to cultivate social friendships and to improve the world. The encyclicals Laudato si' and Fratelli tutti can help to follow educational paths that provide reasons for commitment in today's world.

Work builds society. It is a primary experience of citizenship, in which a community of destiny is born from the commitment and talents of each individual; this community is much more than the sum of the various professional abilities because everyone is recognized in relation to others and for others. And so the fabric of "democracy" is brought to life day by day in the ordinary web of connections between people and economic and political projects. It is a fabric that is not woven at the desk in some palaces, but with creative diligence in factories, workshops, farms, trade, crafts, on construction sites, public administrations, schools, offices and so on. It comes "from below", from reality.

Dear friends, when I recall this vision, it is because one of the tasks of the trade union is to educate in the meaning of work and to promote fraternity among workers. This educational concern must not be missing. It is the salt of a healthy economy capable of making the world a better place. In fact, "the human price is always an economic price, and economic ills always demand a human price. Stopping investing in people in order to get a greater immediate return is bad business for society" (Laudato si', 128).

In addition to training, it is always necessary to point out the distortions of work. The culture of waste has crept into economic relations and has also penetrated the world of work. This is the case, for example, where human dignity is trampled underfoot by gender discrimination – why does a woman have to earn less than a man? Why send a woman away as soon as you see that she is getting "fat" in order not to pay for maternity leave?  It manifests itself in the precarious situation of youth – why do people have to postpone their life decisions because of the chronic precariat? – or in the culture of redundancy; and why are the most demanding jobs still so poorly protected? Too many people suffer from unemployment or unworthy work: their faces deserve to be heard, and they deserve the commitment of the trade unions.

In particular, I would like to share with you a few concerns. Firstly, the safety of workers. Your Secretary-General has spoken about this. There are still too many deaths – I see them in the newspapers: every day there is someone – too many mutilated and injured people at work! Every death at work is a defeat for society as a whole. We should not only count them at the end of each year, but remember their names, because they are people, not numbers. Let us not allow profit and man to be equated! The idolatry of money tends to trample on everything and everyone and not appreciate differences. It is about educating us to take care of workers' lives and educate us to take safety rules seriously: only a wise alliance can prevent those "accidents" that are tragic for families and communities.

A second concern is the exploitation of humans as if they were performance machines. There are violent forms, such as the "caporalato"1 and the enslavement of workers in agriculture or on construction sites and other workplaces, the coercion of workers into grueling layers, the downward play in contracts, the disregard for motherhood, and the conflict between work and family. How many contradictions and how many wars between the poor take place around work! In recent years, the number of so-called "working poor" has increased: people who, despite working, are unable to feed their families and give them hope for the future. The union – listen carefully – is called upon to be the voice of the voiceless. They have to make noise to give a voice to the voiceless. In particular, I would like to commend you for taking care of young people, who are often forced into precarious, inadequate, even slave-like contracts. I thank you for any initiative that promotes an active labour policy and protects human dignity.

In addition, during these pandemic years, the number of those quitting their jobs has increased. Young and old are dissatisfied with their profession, the climate in the workplace, the forms of contract and prefer to quit. They are looking for other options. This phenomenon does not mean disconnecting, but humanizing work. Here, too, trade unions can take preventive action by focusing on the quality of work and helping people find a job that better matches their talents.

Dear friends, I invite you to be "guardians" of the world of work, creating alliances and not sterile contradictions. People thirst for peace, especially at this historic moment, and everyone's contribution is fundamental. Peace education, even in the workplace, which is often marked by conflict, can become a sign of hope for all. Also for future generations.

Thank you for what you do and will do for the poor, the migrants, the infirm and disabled, and the unemployed. Don't forget to also take care of those who do not join the union because they have lost faith and make room for youthful responsibility.

I entrust you to the protection of Saint Joseph, who knew how beautiful and laborious it is to do his work well and how satisfying it is to earn bread for the family. Let's look at him and his ability to educate through work. I wish you all and your loved ones a peaceful Christmas. May the Lord bless you and Our Lady protect you. And if you can, please pray for me. Thank you!

1 "Caporalato" in Italian means migrant workers who work irregularly in agriculture, often earn only half of the regular helpers, but have to work longer.

US Catholic Bishops Funding Violent Overthrow of United States

Update: as I was reading Archbishop Vigano's depiction of a "deep church" to compare with the aims and machinations of the "deep state," I suddenly thought of a Dark Church.  The Dark Church.

Edit: I thought CCHD had been basically destroyed when they were caught pushing Abortion and birth control, but continued on in other organizations, but they’re still around! I’ve been worried about CCHD for many years and one of the few who’ve had an impact on them with persistent and accurate reporting, is Michael Hichborn. Too bad he’s working with Virus and Budgie, but here you are:

[Michael Hichborn] The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), is funding organizations actively involved in calls for revolution, the killing of police officers and the defunding of police departments.
All of this follows a long and sordid history of the CCHD providing millions of dollars to organizations that have long served as communist front groups, waiting for the right time to spark a Marxist revolution. See our article titled "The Marxist Core of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development."
In the wake of the ignoble death of George Floyd, violent riots have erupted in cities all across the country, resulting in billions of dollars of damage and stolen goods and the murder of at least two police officers. Hundreds of officers have been targeted as a result of violent rhetoric coming from the riots. In New York, two officers were shot and one stabbed in the neck after being ambushed by rioters. Four other officers were shot in St. Louis while they stood in a police line. Two officers were shot by a rioter in Richmond, VA. In Oakland, CA, two officers were shot (one killed) in a drive-by ambush. Others have been hit by bricks, baseball bats, rocks and even a car.

Evil Magic Circle Bishops Scrape and Bow Before the Marxist Consensus -- Francis Approves and Sets up Press Op

Hapless Boomers Venerate NewSaint George Floyd and the Site of His
Drug Induced NewMartyrdom Credit: Office of Gov. Walz

Edit: this  pre-planned social engineering media project has brought out hilarious levels of preemptive groveling on the part of the clergy and the laity.  Mexican Supreemacist, Bishop Mark Seitz, Archbishop Hebda, Mark Shea and Dale Ahlquist are going crazy to show their overlords just how much they fear them more than God almighty.

It is interesting to note that Minnesota's cancerous Hebda, despite being Coadjutor for Ex-Cardinal McCarrick in Newark, New Jersey and a personal secretary for Cardinal Donald Wuerl, this magic circle Bishop claims almost complete ignorance of what was going on with respect to predator Cardinals and senior clergy.

Let's also not forget that one of the Principal co-consecrators for his ordination was even the evil Cardinal who allegedly participated in a drug-fueled gay orgy, Cardinal Coccopalomerio.

Birds of a feather.

Speaking of gay, in an effort not to be outdone by the clergy, the grey eminences of the lay apostolic magisterium,  Mark Shea and Dale Ahlquist were present at today's George Floyd memorial in a downtown Minneapolis Church. How Interfaith! (If you didn't think the Chesterton Society was a joke before...)  No doubt this theological Laurel and Hardy team wanted to rush to take a knee, break a lance, so to speak, for this Marxist agenda.  Let us pray that the natives don't detect their insincerity and respond with violence!  Will Mark do irreparable violence to his knees as he kneels for the first time in decades?!  Nature has a way of sorting these kinds of things out!

Finally,  Mexican Supreemacist, Bishop Seitz is being honored by Bergoglio for kneeling, but not to the Eucharist or the Holy Name, which gets you fired, but to show his solidarity to a Marxist agenda, as we said.  This pope approves heartily!

Give us Barabas say the Bishops and the self-appointed lay authorites!  Give us Saint George Floyd!

Denver Newsroom, Jun 2, 2020 / 05:38 pm MT (CNA).- Minnesota clergy, including Archbishop Bernard Hebda of St. Paul-Minneapolis, participated in a silent walking protest Tuesday afternoon to the spot where George Floyd died in police custody last week, stopping to pray at the memorial that had been set up for him.
Hundreds of local leaders from Christian denominations and other religious traditions were present for the prayerful event.

“While many faiths were represented, there was great unity as we prayed for justice and peace,” Archbishop Hebda said in a tweet Tuesday.

And:

[Catholic Spittle] It’s called “taking a knee,” and many professional athletes around the country have made the gesture publicly to protest police brutality. Lately, even police officers showing solidarity have kneeled around the country before those protesting the May 25 killing of George Floyd, who died after being filmed pinned to the ground with a knee to his neck, constrained by a police officer in Minneapolis.

Until June 1, no Catholic bishop had publicly participated in the gesture but that day, Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso, Texas, became the first. Surrounded by priests from his diocese who also kneeled with him and holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign, he put both knees on the grass at El Paso’s Memorial Park, where a protest had taken place a day earlier and closed his eyes.

Was he nervous?

Ted Cruz collaborating with Ocasio Cortez to make contraceptives available over the counter

By David Martin

The news broke last week that Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is now collaborating with Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to try to make contraceptives available over the counter. Ted Cruz asks Ocasio-Cortez to join him in making birth control available over-the-counter

Responding to a tweet in which the radical freshman Democrat declared that "birth control should be over-the-counter," Cruz agreed, saying that they should "team up" on that.

"I agree. Perhaps, in addition to the legislation we are already working on together to ban Members of Congress from becoming lobbyists, we can team up here as well. A simple, clean bill making birth control available over the counter. Interested?"

Two crimes are committed here. First he is promoting contraception, i.e. birth control pills, abortifacients, etc., and in such a way as to give people easy access to it. But too, he is supporting the radical socialist Ocasio-Cortez, which is like supporting George Soros. Cruz's "Un-American" activities are clearly manifest.

We’ve all heard how Rafael Cruz, the father of Ted Cruz "fled" communist oppression in Cuba to seek "asylum" in the United States, when in fact Rafael was sent to the U.S. by Castro to assist in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBucJt9T9tA  And why? Because Kennedy had exposed the conspiratorial doings of the CFR and was in the process of placing this private interest group under U.S. jurisdiction, which the communists resented.

And of course, Ted's wife Heidi is a former CFR member and VIP who co-authored the infamous blueprint for the North American Union, entitled, Building a North American Community, which outlines the internationalist plan for dissolving America’s sovereignty—something that Communists have eagerly awaited since the time of Lenin.

Contraception is not part of our Christian American heritage but is of the Communist world and is what Communists brought to our country, so when we see American "conservatives" pushing contraception it should immediately send up a red flag.

So much for Ted Cruz being a pro-life patriot.

Pope to Canonize Terrorist Marxist Bishop and Marxism

Enrique Angelelli: a disquieting beatification despite a dubious background and with an ideological stale smell.

(Rome) It had already become apparent and some had feared that the Argentine Bishop Angelelli would be beatified. The train of dubious canonizations continues unabated.

On October 17, the new substitute of the Cardinal Secretary of State, the Vatican diplomat and Archbishop Edgar Peña, signed a letter (Protocol No. 423.517) as one of his first acts, appointing Msgr. Marcelo Colombo, emeritus bishop of La Rioja, the date for the beatification of Bishop Enrico Angelelli Carletti, former Bishop of La Rioja.
"It is my pleasure to inform you that the Holy Father grants that the celebration of the beatification rite of the Reverend Servant of God, Enrico Angelelli Carletti, Bishop of La Rioja, will take place in this city on Saturday, April 27, 2019. "
The Pope will not attend in person, but will be represented by Cardinal Angelo Becciu, Prefect of the Congregation of the Congregation of the Causes of Peña, as a substitute in the State Secretariat.

Who was Bishop Enrico Angelelli Carletti?

Beatification of Angelelli
Bishop Angelelli was a representative of Marxist liberation theology, who had had friendly contacts with the Communist Eastern Bloc since the 1950s, particularly the Pax Movement, which infiltrated the Catholic Church on behalf of the regime. Since the 60s, he was closely associated with the left-wing terrorist movement Montoneros. The Montoneros were part of left-wing extremism that was radicalizing and seeking a violent seizure of power in Argentina, as was attempted in many Latin American countries by communist revolutionary movements with Soviet and Cuban support. The result was terror and counter-terror, with - this is an Argentine feature - right and left Peronists faced each other as enemies. When terror threatened to overthrow the country, the military intervened to restore order, as the generals declared in 1961.

Not only did the dubious left-wing orientation make Angelelli a controversial Church leader during his lifetime, he was described a contemporary pamphlet:
"Anyone who thinks like a Marxist and speaks like a Marxist is also a Marxist!"

Doubtful circumstances of death

Doubtful are the circumstances of his death. Officially, he died in a tragic traffic accident, most likely due to a mistake made by his companion, another liberation theologian and priest belonging to the left-wing Third World Priestly movement supported by Angelelli. His passenger said that he could no longer remember the accident. He quit the priesthood shortly thereafter.

"Who thinks and speaks like a Marxist is also a Marxist"
Several years after the death of Angelelli, another Marxist priest, the Capuchin Antonio Puigjané, suddenly declared that the bishop had actually been assassinated. The order was given by the then military dictatorship. Since then, he has been diligently elaborating on the myth of the murdered "Bishop of the Poor."

Puigjané himself hit the headlines as a left-wing terrorist, as he wanted to topple even then in 1988, five years after the end of the military dictatorship, the already democratic government of Raul Alfonsin.

There were no lack of circles in Argentina and in Western Europe, inside and outside the Church, who willingly jumped on this unusual move and indignantly denounced any involvement of the hated military regime as fact, although no evidence could be presented for such a daring assertion. None of the eyewitnesses of the accident and at the accident testified to anything like this.

Under quite different political auspices - meanwhile, in Argentina, under the moderate left-wing Peronists - the case of the traffic accident was reopened 38 years later and two leading military figures were convicted without concrete evidence, as the principals of an assassination attempt. In the same period, the ex-Capuchin Puigjané was pardoned prematurely, although his terrorist attack had cost eleven lives.

The issue is still controversial in Argentina. Critics speak of a political process, which served less the truth, but to the settling of old scores (see to Angelelli, the situation in Argentina and left myths: The Unequal "Martyrs" ).

Did Angelelli die in odium fidei?

However, whether a traffic accident or assassination, neither in one case or the other are there indications that the death of Angelelli occurred in odium fidei. But hatred of faith is a prerequisite for recognizing a death brought on as a martyrdom for Christ.

Angelelli, a leftist taboo
After Francis had declared Pope John XXIII. an unmiraculous saint, no less doubtfully, he declared the death of Bishop Angelelli an assassination and the bishop as a martyr. The recognition of his death as martyrdom shortens namely the lengthy path of the beatification process, since no miracle is needed.

With the miraculous beatification of Bishop Angelelli by an event, whether a traffic accident or assassination, which is reinterpreted to be a martyrdom, Pope Francis is creating a new, questionable category of "political martyrs."

Last August, another Argentine archbishop, Msgr. Hector Aguer, broke the Angelelli taboo . He asked why not a contemporary of Angelelli, the Catholic intellectual Carlos Alberto Sacheri, to be beatified, who really became a victim of terrorism, but of Marxist terrorism. Sacheri was executed in front of his own children. He had previously pointed out and criticized the Communist infiltration of the Catholic Church with a book.

But in this, the political left is always blind. Meanwhile, the Church leadership seems to have become blind.

What conclusion can be drawn from Pope Francis' unusual approach?

Probably only one: The confirmation of a long-standing suspicion that the obstinate, Argentine Pope wants to canonise a disturbing, highly politicized and long-overstated direction in the Church, the alliance between Christianity and socialism, historically compromised by Soviet dictatorships, terrorism, hostility towards the Church, denunciations, abortion ... Should we list more?

Pope Sends Felicitations to Murderous Sandanistas

Papal sympathies for the Sandinista government of Daniel Ortega

Edit: earlier, he called down divine wrath upon them.  What happened?

(Managua) On August 30th, US columnist and native Argentinian Andrés Oppenheimer lamented Pope Francis' silence on the situation in Nicaragua. Oppenheimer called the papal behavior "shameful" and demanded an opinion on the "death of at least 322 people in the past four months in protests against the government." Other sources speak of over 400 dead killed by government units or paramilitary groups affiliated with the left-wing government. Meanwhile, it was known that Pope Francis would take a position, just not in the sense of Oppenheimer.

Anyone who has known the history of Nicaragua since the 1970s knows how much the local Jesuits and Marxist liberation theology had on the Sandinista revolution, the overthrow of Somoa and the establishment of a socialist dictatorship. In connection with Pope John Paul II's visit to Nicaragua in 1983, this break through the middle of the Church became particularly visible internationally. In the 1980s, the Western European New Left came up with enthusiasm for what was then the latest "socialist experiment.”

While the Jesuit and Minister of Culture Ernesto Cardenal in 1958 greeted John Paul II at the airport, sarcastically falling to his knees, he was greeted at the same time with a question that he defied the call to resign his ministry, as Church law prohibits clerics from the exercise of political office. At the adjoining Pope's Mass in Managua, the regime and its clerical supporters occupied the square in front of the Pope's pavillion with convinced Sandinistas who whistled and shouted at the Pope. That was the tolerance of Catholic Marxists towards the Pope.

In 1983, the Sandinists, whether clerical or anticlerical, and their European supporters saw the pope in Rome as an enemy. In 2018 they will see one of their own in him.

Tempora mutantur.

Greetings from Pope Francis to Comandante Ortega

As it is now known, Pope Francis actually commented on Nicaragua on August 31, a day after Oppenheimer's column, albeit quite differently from what the columnist had hoped.

Pope Francis sent a message of greeting to Nicaraguan Sandinista President Daniel Ortega via the Apostolic Nunciature in Managua. The occasion was the National Day, celebrated on 15 September, commemorating the 197th anniversary of the country's independence from Spain.

Yesterday, the "Comrade" Rosario Murillo, Vice President of Nicaragua and wife of President Ortega, "pleased" the public announced the contents of the papal letter.

"I deeply appreciate the wonderful, fitting letter of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to Comandante Daniel Ortega and the people of Nicaragua. And we appreciate the attention of Lord Nuncio, with whom he sent us the letter of the Holy Father, that we might celebrate together in these days of the Fatherland and of the heart.”

And what exactly did Pope Francis write to the Comandante?

"His Excellency, Mr. José Danel Ortega Saavedra
President of the Republic of Nicaragua
Managua
On the occasion of the National Day of Nicaragua, I cordially greet all the sons and daughters of this beloved land and assure you of my prayer that Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, will grant you the graces of a brotherly reconciliation and a peaceful and united life together.
Francis PP. "

Broadcaster of the Archdiocese of Toledo Recommends Liberation Theologian

Leonardo Boff's Book: Francis of Rome and Francis of Assisi. A New
Springtime for the Church?
(Madrid) The television station rtvd of the Archdiocese of Toledo recommends to the audience the writings of Leonardo Boff and other liberation theologians.
The diocesan television station of the Archdiocese of Toledo publishes reading and gift recommendations. Among them are books by Leonardo Boff and Pedro Casaldaliga, two leading figures of Liberation Theology.
"49 or more" (49 o mas) is the name of the new program of the diocesan TV station that wants to recommend "good literature". The book recommended by Boff is called "Francis of Rome and Francis of Assisi" (Francisco de Roma and Francisco de Asis). The former Franciscan wants to connect Francis of Assisi with Pope Francis in a wide arc.
Boff had joined the Franciscan Order in Brazil in 1959He completed his studies in Munich. He is considered one of the most important and best known liberation theologians. While criticizing the Church as an "institution" and its "hierarchy" as "fundamentalist," he showed open sympathy for communist regimes.
When, under Pope John Paul II, the Congregation of the Faith, under the leadership of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger condemned the Marxist liberation theology, Boff accused the later Pope Benedict XVI. of "religious terrorism".  Boff had been accused not only of Marxism, but more in the dissemination of theological heresies, including syncretism.
When Boff did not abide by the public silence imposed by Rome in 1992, he was dimissed from his order and suspended from his priesthood. At a state, Brazilian university, he received a chair of ethics specially designed for him.
While Boff had called for schism under Pope Benedict XVI., he showed sympathy to the incumbent Pope at the beginning of the pontificateWhile Leonardo Boff scattered flowers to the new pope from Argentina, his brother Clodovis Boff, Servite Father and former liberation theologian, expressed himself quite differently:
The Archbishop of Toledo is Msgr. Braulio Rodríguez Plaza, who is also the Primate of Spain. Although this position dates back only to the 11th century, when the city was reconquered in the wake of the Reconquista, it refers to the fact that Toledo was the capital of Spain before the Islamic occupation of the Visigoths. As local bishop, Archbishop Rodriguez Plaza is responsible for the diocesan television station.
