The Sinister Thread That Links Fake Patriots

By David Martin

A sad commentary of our time is that we see loyal American conservatives turning to fake patriots for their “enlightenment,” the absurdity being that the sinister connection of these “patriots” is clearly manifest.

Glen Beck a Freemason?

For instance, people look to radio host Glen Beck as a champion of patriotism when in fact he bears the marks of Freemasonry. He has been photographed many times wearing Masonic jewelry and emblems, not to mention that he betrayed his Catholic Faith to join the Mormon sect. The Mormons as we know are tied to the communistic-one-world takeover which works conjointly with Freemasonry. https://urbantruthnetwork.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/mormonisn-freemasonry-and-glenn-beck/

What Beck advocates is that Catholics leave the Catholic Church, which is what Freemasons advocate. Their objective is to drive loyal Catholics from the Church, and knowing the mindset of tradition-minded Catholics they’ll use the avant-garde changes since Vatican II—the very changes they generatedto try to drive good Catholics from their parishes.

Consider this clip from Glen Beck’s Fox News' radio program in which he urges Christians to leave their churches if they proclaim concerns for social justice.

"I’m begging you, your right to religion and freedom to exercise religion and read all of the passages of the Bible as you want to read them and as your church wants to preach them . . . are going to come under the ropes in the next year. If it lasts that long it will be the next year. I beg you, look for the words ‘social justice’ or ‘economic justice’ on your church Web site. If you find it, run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice, they are code words. Now, am I advising people to leave their church? Yes!" https://www.firstthings.com/blogs/firstthoughts/2010/03/glenn-beck-thinks-catholics-should-leave-their-church/
Beck here is pretending to oppose the communistic teaching on "social justice," thus concealing his support for it, but what he is really doing is getting Christians—especially traditional Roman Catholicsto leave their institutionalized Church. Beck’s ploy is to ring the ears of conservatives by telling them what they want to hear. He knows that any true Catholic loathes this fake ‘social justice’ so he uses it as a lever to try to pry Catholics from the Church.

St. Paul spoke of "the operation of error to believe lying" (2 Thess. 2:10) that would bewitch the world in the last times and these fake whistle-blowers of the New World Order play a key part in this deception. Their assignment is to play the patriot in keeping with Lenin's strategy: "The best way to fight the [anti-communist] opposition is to lead it." Their trick is to gain the confidence of patriots through "conservative" rhetoric and then break their fight against the infernal powers that be.

Unfortunately, there are many such "whistle-blowers" waging these info-wars against our mind under the pretext of exposing them, and while they can be crafty, there is a common thread among them that clearly exposes their NWO agenda: they are libertarian, they relish hard-rock, they support LGBT rights, and they preach there is no such thing as secret societies.

Alex Jones says he is “Real Illuminati”

For instance, pseudo patriot Alex Jones stated in his video post of January 10, 2016, that he is of the Freemasons, a satanic secret society committed to destroying the Roman Catholic Church. He emphatically states, “I come out of a classical enlightenment family of what you would call ‘real Illuminati,”’ and then breaks into a rant in which he tries to conceal the conspiratorial doings of the cult, saying, “There’s no secret society! There’s no secret messages! There’s no secret handshakes!” According to Jones, the Illuminati is all about building “a new civilization” and “a new system for all humanity,” i.e. a New World Order. https://youtu.be/XM_g0Fx5DMoH   https://youtu.be/uQQWcT552fM

We know of course that the Illuminati is the satanic internationalist network committed to destroying Christianity and enslaving man under the tyranny of a borderless one-world government under the control of Grand Masters. This is the “new system” that Jones advocates, yet, like Beck, he comes off as a champion of American liberty. He calls himself a “libertarian,” but what he advocates are the Masonic freedoms, i.e. the freedom to be gay, the freedom to take dope, the freedom to bring down the government, etc. According to Jones, the very people he purports to expose—including Hillary and Obama—have every right to do what they do.

Illuminati and Freemasons Work Together

It’s important to point out that the Illuminati and Freemasons work conjointly. Both have Talmudic roots and both labor for Lucifer under the pain of death, for which reason the Grand Masters of these secret societies call themselves “Luciferians.” Their work is to murder and enslave humanity for Lucifer,    whom they call God.

The testimony of Albert Pike (1809-1891) says it all and is typical of what classical Freemasons believe. He was the American high priest of Freemasonry elected in 1859 as Sovereign Grand Commander of the Southern Supreme Council, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, and who later became Provincial Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the Royal Order of Scotland in the United States. He addressed fellow initiates with the following:

"To the crowd we must say: we worship a God, but it is the God one adores without superstition. To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors, we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees: all of us initiates of the high degrees should maintain the Masonic religion in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay, the God of the Christians [Jesus Christ], whose deeds prove his cruelty, perfidy and hatred of man, his barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests calumniate him? Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also God. Religious philosophy in its purity and truth consists in the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay.” (Albert Pike, as quoted in A. C. de la Rive: La Femme et l’Enfant dans la Franc-Maconnerie Universelle, page 588.)

A Brief history

The cult of these Grand Masters goes back to the Pharisees with their practice of sorcery and their murder of the Christ. The written form of the Pharisaic tradition is the Talmud, penned by the descendants of the Pharisees, which forms the backbone of Judaism AD and which hurls the most hateful and pornographic insults against Jesus Christ, even condemning Him to hell to boil in His own excrement.

The Talmudic cult has come up through the ages as the key persecutor of religion, though in early times it wasn’t known by any particular name other than "pagan" or "infidel." The name “Illuminati,” signifying “light bearer,” was first used by a 15th century German sect that claimed to possess the “light” of Lucifer.

The movement then assumed a more structured form in 1776 with the founding of the Illuminati in Germany by Adam Weishaupt, a Jewish philosopher and Talmudist. He supposedly converted and became a priest of the Jesuit order, but after being expelled from the ranks he harbored a vicious hatred against God and the Roman Catholic Church, and thence he was committed to founding a global system that would war against Christ and subjugate the world’s peoples to the authority of a world government run by a small financial elite.

Meanwhile, Mayer Amschal of the Rothschild banking dynasty was in search of a way to establish world control through his financial empire, being a Talmudist himself. He knew that in order for his dark empire to succeed, the Catholic Church with its illuminating force would have to be destroyed. In 1773 he met with Weishaupt, and seeing his sinister ambitions he commissioned him to formulate a system that would advance his own aspirations, and in turn he vowed to financially support Weishaupt's war against religion.

Hence we saw the birth of the Illuminati, which from that point, would labor incessantly to replace the institutionalized Order of God with its own. The Illuminati would be the foundation of all anarchist movements to follow, including the French Revolution of 1789 and the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia (1917), which was funded by Jacob Schiff and the Rothschilds in New York.

Their Success Hinges on Secrecy

The Illuminati banks on its secrecy for its success. When certain people started growing wise to their secret plotting in the 1800s, members found it necessary to camouflage their existence in order to keep the public in the dark, so they began operating under different names in different parts of the globe.

The Council on Foreign Relations

Hence was born the Council on Foreign Relations. Founded in 1921, the CFR is nothing more than the North American branch of the Illuminati. Their plan is to crumble the U.S. so that we will eventually be forced to merge with their new-world government, whereby our nation’s sovereignty is nullified.

Admiral Chester Ward, a former Judge Advocate of the U.S. Navy, was a CFR member for sixteen years before resigning in disgust. He said: “The main purpose of the Council on Foreign Relations is promoting the disarmament of U.S. sovereignty and national independence, and submergence into an all-powerful one-world government.”

The United Nations Drafted by the CFR

It was the Council on Foreign Relations that drafted the United Nations in 1945. A group of CFR members in the State Department calling themselves the Informal Agenda Group conceived the idea of the U.N. They played their advantage knowing that the proposal of a “world peace-keeping organization" would go over big in the wake of all the heartbreaks of World War II. They drafted the original plan and secured the approval of President Roosevelt, a secret society initiate himself, who then made establishing the U.N. his highest postwar priority. At the UN’s founding meeting in San Francisco in 1945, forty-seven of the American delegates were CFR members.

David Rockefeller, the long-time Chairman of the CFR had this to say in 2002 about his aspirations: “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” (Memoirs, pg. 405)

Ted Cruz a Freemason?

Fake conservatives share in Rockefeller’s vision of a one-world utopia run by an all-powerful  elite, and this would include people like Ted Cruz. His professional aspirations were foreshadowed in a 1988 interview in which he was asked what his aspirations in life were.

"Well my aspiration is to, oh I don’t know, be in a teen tit film…. Well, other than that, take over the world, world domination, you know, rule everything, rich, powerful, that sort of stuff." (Huffington Post, 1-24-16)

Given his support for open borders and Islamic “refugee” migrants, it should come as no surprise that Cruz was filmed displaying the Masonic "hidden hand" gesture in public. http://www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=MZWokUb9RJM

This is not to mention the "April Fools" tattoo that Cruz unveiled on Fox News on April 1, 2014, which is telling, since the tattoo was of Winston Churchill who was initiated into Freemasonry at Studholme Lodge #1591, London, in 1902.

What is especially telling is Cruz’s affiliation with the CFR. Ted Cruz even hired convicted CFR senior Elliot Abrams to help craft his own foreign policy, who in turn said of Cruz: "I would not hesitate to back Cruz as the [presidential] nominee."

Cruz Family tied to JFK Assassination

We’ve heard the story of how Rafael Cruz, the father of Ted Cruz “fled” communist oppression in Cuba seeking “asylum” in the United States, when in fact Rafael was sent to the U.S. by Fidel Castro to assist in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBucJt9T9tA  And why? Because Kennedy had exposed the conspiratorial doings of the CFR and was in the process of placing this private interest group under U.S. jurisdiction, which the communists resented.

What is noteworthy is that Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi is a former a five-year CFR member and VIP who co-authored the infamous blueprint for the North American Union, entitled, Building a North American Community, which outlines the internationalist plan for dissolving America’s sovereignty and placing it under U.N. jurisdiction. Like Castro and the globalists, Heidi is about dissolving our borders, and there is Ted assisting her work.

Trump Haters

Another common thread among fake conservatives is that they hate Donald Trump, despite their feigned allegiance to him. For instance, Ted Cruz went on a blistering rant against Trump on the day of the 2016 Indiana Primary, calling him a “pathological liar,” a “serial philanderer,” and a “narcissist,” and he even echoed Hillary’s accusation that Trump likes to “bully” women.

This came just hours after Trump had repeated a report tying Cruz’s father to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Clearly, Trump was on key about this. Were it otherwise, Cruz would have refuted him with no problem, but the best he could do was to resort to irrational name calling. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/cruz-calls-trump-serial-philanderer-pathological-liar-blistering-attack-n566956

Beck Supports Trump Assassination?

And we all remember Glen Beck’s statement about “stabbing” Donald Trump. During a TV monologue about Trump’s debate performance on March 3, 2016, Beck expressed his disappointment that conservatives across the country weren’t up in arms over Trump.

“I don’t know what I would have done if I was sitting in Cruz or Rubio’s shoes,” Beck stated. “I can’t say it that way. If I were on the stage, I would have said, ‘have you been listening to him tonight? Have you been listening to what I say about him? I believe these things.'”

Beck went on: “If I was close enough and had a knife, the stabbing just wouldn’t stop.”

Glen Beck was suspended by SiriusXM satellite radio in June 2016 for agreeing with one of his radio guests that someone should stop Donald Trump via assassination. During an interview with author Brad Thor on June 1, Thor asked hypothetically "what patriot will step up" to forcibly remove Trump from office if he was elected president and overstepped his authority.

"And I don't think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office, because you won't be able to do it through Congress."

Beck responded, "I would agree with you on that … we've been talking about this off-air for a while."

Archbishop Viganò Identifies “Gay Mafia” Figures From Hiding

Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio and Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia belong to this group, according to the former nuncio in the USA.

Edit: the Archbishop has had to hide. He’s
got the goods on Francis!

Washington D.C. (Kath.net) Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former Ambassador to the United States, argued in an interview with the Washington Post that the "homo-mafia" in parts of the Catholic Church's leadership prevented the problem of sexual abuse from being seriously addressed by clerics. The problem of homosexuality in the priesthood is well known, but even the word "homosexuality" did not even appear in one of the recent Vatican documents on abuse. According to Viganò the "gay mafia" among the bishops prevents appropriate reforms, who want to protect themselves.

According to Viganò, Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio and Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia belong to this group. This was already rumored in the  media a few months ago. The former head of the Pontifical Council for Pope Francis' legal texts and close associate was said to have been present at the drug and sodomite party a few months ago, in which his secretary, Luigi Capozzi was arrested in 2017. Archbishop Paglia, president of the Pontifical Academy for Life, commissioned a mural in his cathedral during his time as bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia, depicting naked and half-naked people, including homosexuals and transsexuals. [He himself appears in the depiction of an orgy.]

Yellow Vest Priest Faces Charges for Opposing Evil Macron

Edit: a priest leads a chant against Macron inside his church. He’s wearing a beautiful baroque chasuble, but we’re not sure of the propriety of this. Is it a Yellow Vest Mass? Anyway, the priest now faces criminal prosecution, but has appealed to Rome for defense. As the commentator notes, however, this priest certainly has legitimate cause to rebuke Macron and his policies since the Muslims being brought into France are vandalizing churches across the nation. It seems intentional as Macron himself was laughing as Notre Dame burned.

The story about the priest is around, 2:05:

August 1984: The Church Workgroup on Pedophilia in Belgium (II)

The Promotion of Pedophilia in the Church in Northern Belgium

On May 25, 2019, the first part of this article appeared  about the Church's "Ecumenical Working Group on Pedophilia" in Belgium. On August 9, 1984, it published an article in the official Northern Belgian Church Gazette, in which it reported on its actions and promoted interested parties.

By Ferdinand Boischot

The response to this really, blatantly vile ad was almost zero.

At that time the Catholic Church in Belgium was already in an unprecedented situation, and the once very Catholic Flemish population was totally uninterested in the Church and in Christian morality.

Belgium had become the sick man of Europe in the 1980s: economic decline, very high unemployment, exploding public debt, very high inflation, overpowered unions and decades of government coalitions of almost mafia-like Christian Democrats and Socialists strangled the country.

At the same time, there was a tremendous sexualization and decatholization of Flemish society, para- and post-conciliar.

The two prime ministers, Wilfried Martens (already an advocate of a "Progressive Front" as early as 1971 and the unification and quasi-fusing of the free Catholic education system with state schools, later introduced one of the most liberal abortion regimes in Western Europe in 1990, later left and liberal in the European Parliament) and Jean-Paul Dehaene.

The Flemish nationals, formerly very Catholic, had split in 1978 on the occasion of the Egmont Pact and split into a leftist-freethinker and modernist wing and a right-wing conservative (Vlaams Blok); the latter was isolated and muzzled by the media.

Obviously, hardly a reputable person has read this very boring Church paper (the number of subscribers has dropped by more than 80 percent with a continuously decreasing tendency) or found it offensive.

As I said: at that time there were about 1.5 million readers with a total population of 6 million Flemings, of which about 60 percent were more or less Christian / Catholic.

One of two Flemings knew about it

Institutionalized pedophilia in the Church was considered normal.

In the early autumn of 1984, a worried mother (A.C.) contacted the ominous Church working group on pedophilia. The answering letter as follows:
"If your son (son) or daughter (daughter) feels the connection with the pedophile as pleasant / funny ('fijn'), do not break this connection."

"The reaction of the neighborhood is often much more harmful than the events themselves."

"Many convinced Christians still have much to learn from pedophiles."

"It should be preferred that a trusting relationship develops between the pedophiles and the parents."

The big offensive of the pedophiles was launched.

In October 1984, the worried mother wrote to Cardinal Godfried Danneels, Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels and Primate of Belgium.

There was no reaction.

Danneels did what he always did, nothing, and kept everything going.

He succeeded all the easier, till the worried mother had become a member of parliament for the right-wing conservative Flemish national party in the meantime.

Promoting pedophilia in the Church as part of the modernist agenda

Not a year later, in 1985, Danneels in Antwerp established the CPRL (Centrum voor Priesters op rijpere Leeftijd) as a seminary for late-career workers. This seminary soon became the hottest gay meeting spot in Antwerp (in 1999 the CPRL was closed due to too many homosexual scandals and AIDS deaths due to strong pressure from the Roman Congregation of the Faith and Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger).

The ex-Rector of the CPRL, M. Gesquiere, severely burned by the scandals, was caught up by the pedophile bishop Vangheluwe in the diocese of Bruges. He became a Dean in Kortrijk and committed suicide in January 2011 after a torrid affair.

The homosexuality of Gesquiere was stubbornly denied by the ecclesiastical side in the diocese of Bruges (the then bishop was Jozef De Kesel, whom Pope Francis made archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, primate of Belgium and cardinal), until the membership card and photos of a Sado-Mas-Club in Antwerp came to light. As a result, much of the homosexual and pedosexual network in the modernist "Church" of West Flanders came to light.

It is very puzzling that at that time (1984-1993) the good and close friend of Cardinal Danneels, Roger Vangheluwe, who committed a crime against his 11-year-old nephew, and he did not bring it to the bishop of Bruges a year later (1985).

In those years, too, there were huge abuse scandals by the West Flemish missionary Eric DeJaegher OMI against the Inuit in Baker Lake and Igloolik, Canada, who organized atrocities at the Broeders Van Dale (Tordale) and the Broeders van Liefde (FC), the Affair Roeach3, the machinations of Roger Borremans.

The editor-in-chief of Kerk & Leven, Felix Dalle, died shortly afterwards.

Subsequent editor-in-chief became Mark Vandevoorde in 1987, previously press officer with the pedophile bishop of Bruges, Roger VanGheluwe. Vandevoorde climbed high in the North-Belgian Christian Democrats and brought him to the adviser (adviser) of the Prime Minister Yves Leterme and Herman Van Rompuy (later Chairman of the Council of Europe and strongly enthusiastic Mason) and the Minister Stefaan van Ackere.

Vandevoorde still fought in the defense of Vangheluwe (2010) and Danneels (2011) and writes to this day for Kerk & Leven and the related website Kerknet.

Toon Osaer followed in 2010 as Editor-in-Chief: Osaer, at that time was also press officer of Cardinal Danneels, who attempted to intimidate and silence the mother and leader of the True Catholic Resistance (Ms A.C.) in 1996 with a telephone call during the affair Roeach3.

Osaer was immediately dismissed by the respectable new Archbishop André Léonard. The northern Belgian bishops and Christian Democratic politicians caught him up.

Since then, Osaer has led the ecclesiastical, modernist and spiritist publishing house Halewijn in collaboration with Kerk & Leven and the Kerknet website in northern Belgium.

By the way, Jef Barzin  was not “pastoor" (Vicar) in 1984 but "onderpastoor" (Assistant), became nevertheless "pastoor" in 1988 with 13 parishes at the end. For this he was appointed Dean in 2007 (first in Antwerp-South, then he was transferred to Antwerp North after protests) and thus received a seat in the Bishop Council.

Barzin was protected by the Bishop of Antwerp (incidentally from West Flanders) Johan Bonny  Bonny is very homo-friendly (see his sensational interview in De Morgen, 26.12.2015).

When the newspaper De Morgen reported on Barzin and his pedophile activities in April 2008, Bishop Bonny commented that "the report (in De Morgen) had forgotten to see this advertisement in the spirit of the times."

Insight zero.

Precisely because of this lack of insight and absence of empathy, Bishop Bonny was then sent to Rome as the representative of the Belgian bishops and "expert on family issues" in 2015 for the second family synod (under Pope Francis).

The diocese of Antwerp is spiritually and morally totally in the swamp.

Bonny shows very little. He prefers to perform with Jef Barzin and his assistant Selleslaghs, who is eager for women's priesthood.

The Dutch-born, Protestant (Calvinist) pastor Th. Weerstra was a predecessor in Brussels and a figurehead of the Protestant churches in Belgium.

Shortly thereafter, he retired to the Netherlands, where he later died.

His widow was connected at the beginning of the century to this pedophilia.

The aged widow replied by e-mail that she would like to be spared further inquiries.

Mr L.P.G. who is obviously from the Netherlands,  used to live very skillfully from a canonical point of view, not far from the Belgian-Dutch border.

In the Christian field, he has not been publicly noticed since the ad.

Six years after the publication of the aforementioned article, in 1991, the religious book series Roeach was introduced for secondary education in northern Belgium.

The third volume, Roeach3, contained illustrations and texts that could appeal to 13- and 14-year-old students as a call for pedophilia.

The modern Church fostered the pedophilia by their staff

The "Mafia of St. Gallen" (Cardinal Danneels) is a benevolent protector of pedophile abuse on a massive scale.

Only in 2004, 16 years after the infamous article in Kerk & Leven, when the pedophilia scandals came to light in northern Belgium and Danneels came under increasing pressure, the Flemish satirical weekly, t Pallieterke published a photo with the original article and a discussion of this mess.

The official Church in Belgium and its press organs are still in silence: reaction zero.

In smaller publications and on the Web, this heinous story became known, especially abroad:

The Vatican and the nuncio in Belgium have been informed several times, as have bishops and cardinals abroad.

The Belgian press noted in 2008 that "Flemish arch-conservatives intensively tried to blackmail Cardinal Danneels at the Vatican to force their candidate, the reactionary bishop of Namur Léonard, to serve as future archbishop."

Bishop Léonard was not reactionary at all, not even conservative. [He was steadfastly hated and attacked by his staff and the media.]

The modernist-sexual revolution with openness to pedophilia and homophily, as the central point of the mafia of St. Gallen, was publicly defended in 2008-2009 by the formerly Catholic and now syncretic mainstream media

The protagonists of the pedophilia promotion are still sitting unmolested in the ranks of leadership.

Incidentally, ever since the pontificate of Francis, it has been stronger than ever.

Maltese Knights Ban Immemorial Mass of All Ages

The bizarre order of the Order causes heated discussions within the Order

Rome (kath.net) Fra 'Giacomo Dalla Torre, the 80th Grand Master of the Order of Malta, has forbidden that the "Old Mass" will be celebrated at the official Masses of the Order of Malta. In the letter of June 10, the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite is to be banned at religious celebrations of the Order, which is currently causing fierce discussions in-house. The Extraordinary form is basically allowed since the Motu proprio "Summorum Pontificum" of July 7, 2007 in the Catholic Church. In England, among other things, members of the Order appreciate the "Old Mass".

Edit: I once attended a semi-reverent NO with the Ordinary parts of the Mass sung in Latin at the Maltese Chapel in Vienna during the week. Like most NO liturgies, it was a lackluster, perfunctory affair, which was only highlighted by the fact that the sacristan not only failed to genuflect as he walked out into the nave after Mass was concluded, but insisted on politicking (He was probabably SPÖ) with some people he recognized for some time, despite the surprising presence of a few Catholics trying to offer their thanksgiving afterward... if I thought it was street-level kabuki drama before, the idea of theatrical production was only heightened, based on the bald sacristan’s careless secular demeanor which had the effect of destroying the meditative qualities of the beautiful baroque chapel.

Prominent Jesuit Compares Salvini With Judas — Bergoglio-Church Takes Another Hit in Polls

Pope Francis with P. Bartolomeo Sorge SJ.

(Rome) The former editor-in-chief of the Roman Jesuit magazine La Civiltà Cattolica comes to his successor's aid and compares Matteo Salvini, the de facto leader of the European sovereignty movement, with Judas.

Matteo Salvini, leader of the Lega, Italian Home Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister, has been the "EU superstar" superstar since last May's EU elections. He has succeeded in forging a cross-party alliance. The sovereignty movement provides, which probably only Steve Bennon thought possible, more than a third of all MEPs, which is concealed by the media as much as possible, because this strengthening is not desired. Of course, the Alliance must first prove how closed it is on individual issues and how well it can get involved in the European Parliament. The first option is the appointment of the EU Commission President.

With 29 seats, the Lega is represented after counting all votes even with the same number of mandates in the EU Parliament as the Brexit Party by Nigel Farage and CDU and CSU together. Farage and Salvini represent the two strongest single parties.

The AfD had felt the headwind of the German Bishops' Conference under Cardinal Marx. An unusual scenario, since for decades the Church has rejected any partisanship as downright indecent, as if such things had never happened.
In Italy, the pressure against Salvini and the Lega was even more massive. Almost verbatim attacks by Church representatives against the AfD and the Lega suggest an ordered, but at least concerted party take. On the Apennine peninsula, however, everything was still a bit more emotional, aggressive and unconditional. In the Federal Republic of Germany it was a Protestant pastor who was caught destroying AfD posters. In Italy, however, it was Catholic monasteries that issued anti-Salvini banners.

The politicization of the Church, initiated by Pope Francis six years ago, has taken on an irritating course.

This includes a message from P. Bartolomeo Sorge SJ, who joined the Jesuit order in 1946 and was ordained a priest in 1958 for the Order. He was born on the island of Elba. His German surname was brought by his ancestors, who arrived in the 18th century to Sicily, whether still under the Habsburgs or already the Bourbons, is no longer known. The origin of the family Sorge, which is at least clear, is found in the Lower Franconian region and is located in the province of Zealand in the Netherlands today.

The seven-years-older P. Sorge was counted, like Fr. Jorge Mario Bergoglio among the group of brothers who were promoted by the Jesuit General Pedro Arrupe. Under Arrupe P. Sorge became the editor of Civiltà Cattolica, the most important Jesuit magazine in the world. At the time, Sorge was already a political strategist of "democratic Catholicism": he advocated a strong Christian DemocraticParty that was to be left-leaning, while rejecting "integralist" Catholic directions and organizations. The opponent for Sorge was on the right. Thus, in the 1970s, he struck the political nerve of the time when the Western European Communists proclaimed "Euro-communism" to emphasize their independence from the Soviet Union, and when in Italy the left wing of the Christian Democrats sought the "historical compromise" with the Communists.

According to a book published in 2017 by journalist Stefania Falasca, Pope John Paul I seriously contemplated P. Sorge in 1978 as a possible successor to the Patriarch of Venice, although he was "associated with some, somewhat suspicious, Catholic currents," as the then Pope himself in a personal letter to the Archbishop of Milan, Giovanni Cardinal Colombo, noted. General Arrupe had already given a positive opinion of Sorge. Resistance came, however, from Antonio Cardinal Poma, the Archbishop of Bologna and then President of the Italian Episcopal Conference. Reason was the public support on the part of Sorge for a "dialogue" with the Communist Party of Italy (PCI). The pontificate of John Paul I lasted only 33 days, and under John Paul II, P. Sorge was no longer eligible for the Patriarchal Office or another episcopate.

Sorge who will turn 90 this October is mentally fit and does not keep his opinion behind the mountain these days. In February 2018 he described his satisfaction with "myChurch  between Martini and Bergoglio". These are the two Jesuit Cardinals Carlo Maria Martini and Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who were also candidates for the papal throne. Cardinal Martini failed at the first attempt in 2005, but Cardinal Bergoglio was successful in the second attempt in 2013. A quick success, considering that only in 2005 the first attempt was ever made in the nearly 500 years of religious history to make a Jesuit Pope.

Father Antonio Spadaro SJ, acting editor of the Civiltà Cattolica, has not been squeamish with Salvini and the Lega in recent weeks. P. Sorge, his predecessor, intensified the tone after Salvini's election victory. The Democratic referendum aroused the Jesuit so much that he drew a drastic comparison:

"Italy is leghistic, not Christian anymore. The Lega follower says, 'The Italians First', the Christian says, 'The Excluded First'. It is not enough to kiss Jesus in public, that's what Judas did. "

Already in advance, bishops, theologians and Jesuits had loudly heard who chose Lega, "is not a Christian.” Something similar was already to be heard from episcopal mouths in Germany.

A Tweet from P. Sorge, in which he compares Salvini  with Judas. Salvini himself spread the anathema from P. Sorge on Twitter to add his answer:

"See what this theologian writes ... All that is missing is that someone demands my excommunication so that we have experienced everything ... Forward: with faith, respect and modesty!"

It is unclear what benefit Santa Marta expects from such a confrontation. Because of the unconditional Refugees Welcome line has lowered approval ratings in Italy for Pope Francis before the EU election even lower than its previous low, according to a survey by opinion pollsters Demos.

Ultraprogressive Cardinal Appointments Upcoming — Liberation Theologian Disciplined By Benedict

Bishop Ricardo Valenzuela with Fernando Lugo, then President of Paraguay. Lugo was previously Bishop of San Pedro. In 2008 he was the liberation theologian laicized by  Pope Benedict XVI. Valenzuela and Lugo had both studied at the Gregoriana in Rome.

(Asuncion) Already in recent weeks, it has been said that Pope Francis might create new cardinals at the end of the month. The media in Paraguay report that this time the South American country is likely to get a cardinal. While at the end of June, as possible timing of cardinal elevations becomes less likely, the number of ultraprogressive contenders for the Cardinal rank is increasing.

The Cardinals under 80 choose the Pope. Any consistory for the creation of new cardinals convened by Pope Francis represents a powerful push towards progressive succession.

At the feast of the apostolic princes Peter and Paul, the Pope traditionally awards the pallium to the metropolitans appointed last year, as the visible sign of their attachment to the Bishop of Rome and the universal Church. In May, voices thickened that the ruling pope could take the opportunity to create new cardinals. The date seemed unusual because there is currently no need, as the full number of papal electors is given. This was last set to 120 by Pope John Paul II. Katholisches.info reported when this need will be restored.

In recent days, "rumors have intensified" that Paraguay will get a cardinal in the next cardinal surveys, as the Paraguayan daily ABC Color said yesterday. As possible contenders for the Cardinalatial purple the newspaper has named Bishop Ricardo Valenzuela of Caacupé (not to be confused with Archbishop Edmundo Valenzuela of Asuncion), Bishop Adalberto Martinez of Villarrica and at the same time President of the Paraguayan Episcopal Conference, and Bishop Francisco Pistilli of Encarnacion. All three have been already promoted by Pope Francis. The greatest opportunities are said to belong to Bishop Valenzuela. A few weeks ago he had already been called to Rome to talk about this issue, local voices said. However, on request from ABC Color, Bishop Valenzuela said "jokingly" that it was "just rumors and nothing more". The trip to Europe did not take him to Rome but to Lourdes.

The Paraguayan episcopacy is strongly liberation theological, as shown by the conflict over Bishop Rogelio Ricardo Livieres Plano of Ciudad del Este  who was an exception in the South American country. Due to disturbance of unity in the episcopate, he was deposed in 2014 by Pope Francis in a despotic manner. He refused a conversation. Bishop Livieres spoke of an "intrigue of other bishops" and warned that Pope Francis would even have to answer to God for the impeachment. Katholisches.info called the papal intervention "the nightmare of this pontificate: purges without procedure". A year later, the plucky bishop died as a result of an operation.

Bishop Valenzuela has the closest contact with Pope Francis. When Francis deposed Bishop Livieres, he appointed Msgr. Valenzuela, then reputed to be the most progressive Bishop of Paraguay, Apostolic Administrator of Ciudad del Este. For Bishop Livieres the appointment was an additional slap in the face of the deposition. Valenzuela, at that time Bishop of Villarrica, was entrusted by Francis with the execution of the Church renewal by Bishop Livieres. As a reminder: Bishop Livieres, a member of Opus Dei and an Argentine like Pope Francis, was one of the first to remove his seminarians from the Joint Paraguayan Seminary in Asuncion, following their appointment as Bishop of Ciudad del Este, to protect them from progressive and liberation theological influences. He promoted priestly vocations and in the parishes, Eucharistic adoration and the traditional Roman rite. He established his own seminary just for his diocese. Although the Diocese of Ciudad del Este covers only ten percent of Catholics in the country, the seminary of Bishop Livieres numbered 70 percent of all seminarians in Paraguay.

At present, 45 cardinals come from the American continent.

In the view of another candidate, who is vigorously named as a possible purple bearer, the Portuguese theologian and Archbishop José Tolentino Calaça de Mendonça, was named by Jornal Madeira recently with a more realistic date for February 2020. Curial Archbishop José Tolentino Calaça de Mendonça is one of those who want to "liberate" the Church from its dogmas.

Also the last Sunday in the Church year, the Christ the King celebration in Novus Ordo, could be a possible date for a consistory. Because of the vacant positions in the College of Papal Electors, the cardinal elevations should take place only in the spring of 2020.

The Secret Archive of the Popes and its “Legends”

The Prefect of the Vatican Secret Archives, Mgr. Sergio Pagano, spoke about the opening of the private archive of Pius XII. in the coming year and "legends" around the secret archive.

(Rome) The Prefect of the Vatican Secret Archives, the Barnabite Father Sergio Pagano, reiterated that the Soviet Union after the Second World War, brought the Black Legend of the "anti-Semitic" Pope Pius XII.  into circulation.

Born in Genoa in 1948, Pagano entered the Barnabite Order in 1966 and was ordained a priest in Rome in 1977. In the field of theology, he specialized in liturgy, while at the same time he completed a specialist study of archivistics, diplomacy and paleography. He taught at the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy, at the Pontifical Lateran University and other colleges. Since 1978 he works in the secret archives of the Vatican, where he was promoted to director under Pope John Paul II in 1997. Under Pope Benedict XVI. he was appointed Titular Bishop of Celene in today's Galicia, Spain in 2007 and then ordained him bishop in St. Peter's Basilica. Last year P. Pagano celebrated his 40th priestly jubilee.

The Barnabite Order was created in 1530 in response to theChurch  crisis and Protestant schism at the beginning of modern times. Like so many other orders, the regular canons of St. Paul (CRSP), as their official name, reached their peak in the twentieth century, just prior to the Council and during the Second Vatican Council. Today, the Order counts just over 300 priests.

On May 30, Mgr. Pagano was awarded honorary doctorate by the Ateneu Universitari Sant Pacià, a Catholic University in Barcelona founded in 2015, named after Saint Pacian of Barcelona. The ceremony was the occasion for the Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia to conduct an interview with the honoree, which was published on May 31st.

At first, the prefect explained the rather confusing term "secret archive" for today's ears, which meant a private archive at the time of the Renaissance, in contrast to a public archive. Contrary to popular belief, it is not a question of "keeping secret" documents stored in them. It is rather the private archives of the popes, not the archives of the Vatican or the Church. The name is maintained because the archive has been internationally known for centuries, now also registered and quoted in scientific works.

Access, according to Msgr. Pagano, is only open to entitled scientists who can demonstrate a need for research. The access is granted for three months, but can be extended again and again. The archive is used daily by about 60 researchers. There are not enough staff available to be able to process the search requests in a timely manner.

Pope Francis had announced in spring that from 2 March 2020, the private archive of Pius XII, who ruled from 1939-1958, will be opened. However, the head of the secret archive is slowing down a bit.

"We only have 58 employees and we were not prepared for it. When the archive is opened, not everything will be perfect yet. The holdings of some nunciatures are still in order. "
However, the interested experts could already shed light on various aspects of the pontificate, including in particular the relationship with the Jews and with Adolf Hitler and the National Socialists, but also with Francisco Franco and Spain and the dictatorships in South America, including Argentina.

"The newly accessible documentation, if carefully studied by reputable historians, can clarify these aspects. It can illuminate the historical and political context in which Pius XII. moved, and his dilemma, whether he should publicly comment on the defense of the Jews and the persecution of the people of Israel. Pius XII. planned a public statement and discussed the issue with various ambassadors, but then hesitated for fear that a public statement on the defense of the Jews, as in the case of the Netherlands, might trigger an even more terrible persecution of Jews and Catholics. It could not save the Jews and bring Christians trouble. The question weighed on his conscience until the end of his life, although he came to the conclusion that the only action that could be taken was to save as many Jews as possible directly, but that a public statement would not help. Scientists will have to decide if that was appropriate or not. "

The pope was concerned with the salvation of as many Jews as possible, however. He activated sections, monasteries, dioceses and even the Vatican to give shelter to Jews. The Jews thanked him for this commitment. This not only applies to the former Chief Rabbi of Rome, who converted to the Catholic Church and accepted the baptismal name of the Pope, Eugenio, in gratitude. The State of Israel, founded in 1948/49, also honored Pius XII. for his commitment to the Jews during World War II.

But how could it then come to the Black Legend, that just Pius XII. was the "Hitler’s Pope"?

"This legend originated in the Soviet Union. After the Nuremberg war crimes trial, the idea was circulated that the Pope was guilty of not defending the Jews. As various studies have now established, this idea spread through the Jewish and American press and expanded into an indictment, that Pius XII. had sentenced the Jews to death by his silence.” The Secret Archive's holdings, which will be accessible from March 2020, also provide insight into the relationship between the Pope and the Franco government in Spain. Mgr. Pagano mentions in this context another concern of Pius XII, who considered a Soviet invasion of Europe with the help of the Communist parties in the various states realistic.

The private archive may also bring new insights to the question of the Catalan independence movement. The stocks, Msgr. Pagana, certainly allow a detailed tracing of the attitude of Pius XII. to General Franco and any changes in this attitude.

Then there are the many legends surrounding the secret archive the prefect dismisses. These are "sillinesses" that someone with some education "can not believe.”

"It is also said that we keep the seven-armed, golden Menorah, which stood in the Temple of Jerusalem, but in reality was destroyed by Emperor Titus. It was even written that we would keep heads of Martians and evidence of UFOs. "

The claim of writer Dan Brown that he has been denied access to the secret archive "is a lie", says Msgr Pagano.

"Dan Brown never asked to enter the archive. He wrote all sorts of nonsense, without any basis, just to make money. If he has the necessary titles, he is welcome to come, and then, when he sees the truth, he could no longer invent certain secret places and doors and non-existent labyrinths.”

An ingenious security and fire protection system protects the secret archive. Many documents are stored in a new bunker.

"If there was a fire, I really would not know which of the important documents were to be salvaged first. There are really very many!”

When a Pope's private archive is opened, “all documents are made available, as permitted by the Vatican Law. Excluded are marriage tribunals out of consideration for the persons concerned, the documents on episcopal appointments, because the Pope usually selects from a panel of three, and the non-appointees, of course, have relatives and a parish. This excludes purely personal documents that are found at the death of cardinals, bishops and curia employees."

Belgian Church Working Group Sought to Normalize Pedophilia in 1982 (I)

Bishop Vangheluwe 2008 in Africa.

by Ferdinand Boischot

In hardly any other country was the secularization and de-Christianization following the Second Vatican Council as deep and broad as in Belgium, and especially in the northern Dutch-speaking area.

Left-oriented, progressive "believers" seized the ecclesiastical structures. Theological expertise, patristics and fundamental theology were quickly removed. With a so-called Haalbaarheidsmoraal ("accessibility morality", but de facto relativization of all moral norms) a complete adaptation to the zeitgeist was carried out and in particular a takeover of the total sexual freedom and a fixation on it.

Within this framework, what is well documented is an almost complete homophilization of the clergy.

The abuse scandals revealed over the last 20 years have also emerged in this context.

The Cardinals Suenens and Danneels and Bishop Jozef Desmet (Diocese of Bruges) were internationally renowned for their progressiveness (Suenens and Desmet played a prominent role in the Second Vatican Council revolution.) Suenens and Danneels propagated sexual freedom at all levels and practiced tolerance, where the successor of Desmet as Bishop of Bruges, Roger Vangheluwe, not only hushed up all sexual scandals, but himself preyed for many years on the children of his own brother.l

Where, at the moment, the Catholic Church is shaken by pedophile and homosexual abuse scandals and this vile situation is denounced by Pope Em. Benedict XVI. and leading cardinals and bishops (Card. Brandmüller, Card. Sarah, Archbishop Viganò), some modernist theologians in Germany and the United States  recite the mantra denying any connection between homosexuality and homophily on the one hand and pedophilia on the other.

It may not be true, but it is true:

In the years immediately before, during and especially after the Second Vatican Council, a mafia-like, male, homosexual and paedosexual group has taken root in the clergy.

The Dutch-language Catholic Church Kerkelijk Leven ("Church Life") had in 1978 at that time a very Catholic Flanders circulation of about 500,000 copies and a then estimated readership of 1.5 million readers. It was the most widely read newspaper in Flanders. It was conducted by the West Flemish diocese of Bruges (then headed by Bishop Emile-Joseph De Smedt) and the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels (Archbishop Danneels), with the Theological Faculty of the University of Louvain which played a major role (so-called Bruges -Louvain axis).

Editor-in-chief of the rather boring paper was the West Flemish priest Felix Dalle, who had very modern views. Some very modernist books were not well received by literary criticism in the 1970s (De vluchtheuvel).

Under Dalle, as part of modernization, the Church paper was renamed Kerk en Leven (Church and Life).

On August 9, 1984, an article about the "Ecumenical Working Group on Pedophilia" appeared in this official North Belgian church paper:

"For some years there has been an ecumenical working group on pedophilia in Flanders.
This working group consists of Catholics and Protestants.
This working group wants to sensitize the churches to the phenomenon of pedophilia, to pass on information and to reduce prejudices.
At the same time, the working group wants to find out about everything that appears in the field of pedophilia.
In addition, the working group aims to create a meeting place for pedophile people to share thoughts and encourage each other.
Everyone is welcome who would like to get to know pedophilia and pedophiles on condition that this happens in openness, respect and reliability.
At the beginning of the new season, the working group will also be involved: Pastor (Pastoor) Jef Barzin, Duinstraat 30, 2008 Antwerp, Tel. (03) 2366395.

The next meeting of the Ecumenical Working Group on Pedophilia will take place on Saturday 8th September in the chapel "The Olive Branch" in Brasschaat, Leopoldslei 35, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the latest.

We are happy to bring a small refreshment.
Further information can be obtained from: Mr. L.P.G. van Tricht, Dorpsstraat 86, 2080 Chapels. For the working group: Th. Weerstra, Van der Meerschenlaan 73, 1150 Brussels. "(2)

It can not be said much more clearly.

Pope Francis Turns Predator Over to Secular Arm

Decision as a result of serious allegations of abuse against clerics of the Diocese of Ciudad Real - The victim is accused of abusing several minors in a seminary

Madrid (kath.net/KAP) Pope Francis has dismissed a Spanish priest in the face of serious allegations of abuse. As the Diocese of Ciudad Real announced, the decision "for the good of the Church" was final. The entire Catholic community of the Diocese of Ciudad Real was on the side of the victim, it said.

The victim is accused of abusing several minors in a seminary. According to his diocese, he had already been given a secluded life in the monastery in a canon law procedure. But the man did not stick to that. In a lawsuit in front of a secular court, he faces a prison sentence of several years.

Edit: he couldn’t be satisfied with having a fulfilling life of doing penance for his sins and good for people, he had to follow his compulsions to prey on young people.  It’s not clear here why he had access to minors in monastic seclusion.

Austrian Priest From CDF Cleared of Accusations of Sexual Harrassment

Acquittal for P. Hermann Geißler (The Work).

(Rome) A senatorial tribunal of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura in Rome pronounced Fr. Hermann Geissler of the spiritual family The Work free of all charges. A former member of The Work accused him of molesting her in 2009.

The Tyrolean Hermann Geissler completed his priestly education in the Collegium Rudolphinum in Heiligenkreuz, which was founded by Bishop Rudolf Graber of Regensburg. In 1988, Geissler joined the spiritual family Das Werk based in Bregenz. In 1991 he received his doctorate at the Pontifical Lateran University and was ordained the same year. After a time in parish ministry, he was appointed to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, where from 2009 he was head of the teaching section.

At the end of January 2019, he asked the Congregation for his laicisation. By doing so, he wanted to be able to keep the Congregation safe from damage and so he could better defend against the allegations made against him. At the same time he urged the continuation of the legal proceedings against him to clarify the matter.

A judge's senate of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura exhonerated him with a decision of May 15. The judges did not believe the plaintiff and cleared Geissler.

The plaintiff, a former member of the religious family The Work, had a brief sexual relationship with a co-brother in 2008. In 2009, she had sexually harassed Father Geissler, also a brother. In 2011 she left the community "by mutual agreement.” However, she then began a campaign and filed a complaint against the two religious.

Numerous media reported about her as a “victim of abuse,” also internationally. Her "case,” despite not being fact checked, was the subject of feminist documentary films that were broadcast as an indictment on public service television (BR). Herder Verlag published a book about her "case". In the autumn of 2018, the television station Arte broadcast the documentation of God’s abused servants, in which her “case" was also broadly treated. Ready supporters
can always be found in the fight against the Church and especially "conservative" religious communities.

After leaving the Order, it became known that she is married to another priest and has a child with him. The priest was suspended on it a divinis.

Kathpedia writes about the plaintiff that she is "campaigning against the Church and consecrated congregations." The judges may have seen it this way as well.

Cardinal Pujats: “I’m a Traditionalist and I Informed the Pope of This in a Letter

[Gloria.tv]  "I'm a traditionalist and I informed the Pope of this in a letter I sent to him through the Nunciature," Latvian Cardinal Janis Pujats told Polonia Christiana on 4 June. Pujats added that the discipline of the sacraments should be observed in the Church, especially regarding the Sacrament of Matrimony. He pointed out that the Church must not imitate the sins of the world and, for example, bless homosexual couples. Pujats also explained that sexual atheism is more dangerous than Communist atheism.

Pujats criticized that in many churches very few stand in line for confession, but all go to communion. Quote: "I never allowed that in my church." The communion queues introduced after the Council produce a group pressure so that the people feel obliged to go to communion in order not to stand out, the Cardinal explains. Pujats warned that the priests will be held responsible before God for this abuse.

Pujats is critical of the transition from Latin to the national languages because many things have been lost in the process. Many teachings regarding the liturgy, dogmatics or morality were formulated very precisely in Latin over the centuries. These pearls were only translated to a limited extent. After the Council, the professors in the seminars did not take these things very serious and their seminarians cared even less about them.

The Cardinal explained that discipline and order have to prevail in a seminary. The environment in the seminary must be different from that in the world. Otherwise, the candidates for the priesthood enter the seminary as laymen and also leave it as such. Pujats wishes a monastic discipline in the seminary where the best spiritual fathers are educated. Future priests should be holy. Only then we will see positive effects.

Pride Month: Some News Highlights — Joan of Arc Stonewall Liturgy & David Haas Has Fabulous New Musical Instruments

Edit: he even teaches students at a “Catholic” high school.

EAGAN, Minnesota, June 5, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A famous American Catholic hymnist whose songs are sung in churches across the continent every Sunday has composed a chant to celebrate homosexuality.
David Haas, 61, is known by Catholics throughout the English-speaking world for such hymns as “Blessed are They,” “You Are Mine,” and “Servant Song.” Jesuit-run America Magazine has called Haas “one of the most prolific and significant liturgical composers of the post-Vatican II English-speaking church.
On Monday, June 3, Haas announced on social media that he had written a refrain to celebrate “Pride Month.” His post included an image with rainbow colors with the word “pride” written across in bold white letters.
Will David Haas be providing musical accompaniment at the Stonewall Mass?
I thought I’d seen it all!

Gänswein Speaks on Alpha and the Omega of Human Dignity and the Catholic Foundations of Modern Law (I)

Edit: looks like a citation which I found on Canon212 from Gloria.tv is not looking at the context of the entire speech. I just went through it today in its first part.

KARLSRUHE, 05 June, 2019 / 8:59 PM (CNA Deutsch) .-
The Federal Republic of Germany, too, as a state and society needs the Catholic answer to the question of the dignity of man: this has been postulated by Archbishop Georg Gänswein.

The prefect of the papal house and private secretary of Pope emeritus Benedict XVI. In yesterday's lecture on the annual reception in the foyer "Church and Law,” called on Christians to "take up a stronger and courageous position again.” At stake is nothing less than a right understanding of human dignity as the likeness of God, emphasized Gänswein.

Ultimately, as an image of God, man is not identifiable over "accidental" questions such as his sexual orientation or his profession, the archbishop emphasized: questions that the Federal Constitutional Court has been concerned with recently, such as homosexual marriage.

"The homosexual partners are - whether claiming marriage, or no marriage - old, and are about to take the last step of their lives - and sexual orientation no longer matters - being a nurse or being homosexual is accidental, it is not essential to being human. All homosexuals, divorced people, atheists and so on will at once stand before God and before his judgment,” said Gänswein.

In view of the 70th anniversary of the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Archbishop underlined that the Basic Law was "open to the natural law of its origin, which the Creator has imprinted on his creature and on his creation".

This must be done today - with Pope Benedict XVI. and his speech in the Bundestag in 2011 - to be reminded again urgently, said Gänswein on 4 June 2019 at the annual reception of the foyer "Church and Law".

"What is needed in a society where relativism and the rejection of religious truths are a good thing is a contribution to a different truth, to a different perspective, to an alternative concept of the nature of man."

CNA Deutsch EXCLUSIVELY documents the full text of the speech with friendly permission in two parts. Here is the first part:

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

This place and this hour invite in a special way, not always to find new topics, but rather to reflect in patient dialogue and in ever new variations about what holds our community together in its innermost. An approximate sketch of the reflections, which I would now like to present to you, I had almost spontaneously in my mind when I pledged, which Archbishop Stephan Burger, the bishop of my home town, had wrested from me about half a year ago.

After looking at the contributions of the previous speakers, I can now feel confirmed, starting with the profound comments of Cardinal Lehmann's "On the opposing-peaceful relationship between church and state today,” with which he addressed the series of the Karlsruhe Foyer "Church and Law" on 19 June 2007, to the lecture last year by Professor Peter Dabrock, the President of the German Ethics Council, on the topic: "The dignity of man is granularizable, does the basis of our community have to be rethought?"

Thus, as a German and a Catholic priest, who works at the Roman Curia, I can not avoid the concept of human dignity. For in this concept, which consists of two words, religion and law, which so to speak, give the kiss of peace. And how could I pass over this most wondrous concept of our German constitution in the year in which the Constitutional Law celebrates its 70th birthday.

It did not shock me then that last year it said: "The dignity of man is granularizable", when Professor Dabrock sharpened his brilliant analysis with the aforementioned expression of the Ssociologist Christoph Kucklick at this point! Literally this means that the dignity of man is not only palpable, it can de facto also crumble between our fingers into granules like a friable piece of dry earth. Why is that not shocking me? Well, from history we know that the human body is virtually pulverizable, as the world had to exemplify 80 years ago in the extermination camps of the Nazis and the gulags of the Soviets and their battlefields - up to the nuclear flashes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After all, we all learn that at some point the human body will crumble to dust even after the most beautiful, peaceful, and happy life. We learn it from our relatives, friends, and ourselves. "Remember, man, that you are dust, and you will return to the dust again" (Gen 3:19). This is the annual reminder of Ash Wednesday, in which the liturgy of the Church reminds us of our earthly end. This reminder is an invitation to pause and meditate.

The human disintegrates. He becomes earth or ashes. His body is pulverizable. Is that his dignity? - What is human dignity? Our Basic Law seems to begin with a pious wish, a sentence that can only be understood aesthetically, and, strictly speaking, with a false statement: "The dignity of man is inviolable." What does this sentence mean? What follows from him? And what if the dignity is touched? And what do you do as a lawyer under these circumstances?

I do not want to give you a legal or legal history lecture - which you certainly will not be sorry at me for - but let me get straight to the heart of the matter.

I am a priest, bishop of the Catholic Church. We have the ius divinum and the jus mere ecclesiasticum, divine and purely ecclesiastical law, which is why my supreme legislator would, so to speak, "make hell with me" if I now tell you something different from what is covered by natural law and revelation. The lawyers, judges, canonists and civil servants present represent the state of the Federal Republic of Germany. Perhaps your chief employer gives you a little less Hell if you should tell me something different in this dialogue than state raison d'etat and state doctrine of the Federal Republic - but for sure public opinion would set a fire beneath you all the more effectively. But since we are, so to speak, among ourselves, let us now look at whether and how we come together in the concept of human dignity.

The Catholic answer to the question of the dignity of man is this: human dignity is not that man has a leg or a brain. Man does not earn his dignity. Therefore he can not lose it. It is given to every single human being before the beginning of creation, and lies in the will of God to create man in his image, in the image of God. This dignity is therefore given to all people and their own, no matter where they come from, what language they speak, which skin color they have, whether they are politically uninterested or particularly radical, whether law-abiding or lawbreaker. It is - although we all know it, be it at this point once again explicitly stressed - of course, also to all non-Christians. All human beings are created in the image of God.

The dignity of man does not depend on what he does, what he thinks or says, but on what he is. So what is the human? What does it mean that he is the image of God?

I found a particularly beautiful answer in Chartres years ago, when unknown sculptors staged Genesis' Biblical account of the creation of the world with a semicircle of sculptures over the cathedral’s 13th century north portal, in which we speak of the fifth day of creation - in the moment when he has just created the birds and when he looks lovingly at them, how they flee from his gaze and fly freely into the sky! - for the first time falls the idea: "Let us make human beings in our image, similar to us (Gen 1:26)". At the very sight of the freedom of the birds, God therefore falls for the thought of creating man as a coronation of creation, as a free being, even like himself. God looks like his son, like Jesus, who, just at the moment of this idea, with his first idea and conception of man, the young Adam - as thought, but bodily - looks over the right shoulder, like him with a twin his features, but without a beard.

The location of this representation at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Chartres also shows that this image of humanity is a special good that does not simply come from nature and has grown on trees. And so it is with human dignity. It is a cultural asset. It originates in a genuine way from our culture; it does not come from China or Japan, not from India, not even from the "House of Islam". It comes solely from our history, and especially from the self-revelation of God, as it has come down to us in the scriptures of Judaism and Christianity.

It is therefore not surprising that in recent years, especially in Germany, the realization has prevailed - in statements of such sober thinkers such as Jürgen Habermas and Ludger Honnefelder - that especially against the background of Judaeo-Christian tradition, the divine image of man became the matrix of the notion of "human dignity,” where the beautiful word received not only constitutional rank, but where has occupied the central place of the new German Constitutional Law since May 8, 1949, where in the very first sentence of the first article is says laconically: "The dignity of People is untouchable. "

The sentence has become, so to speak, the soul of our constitution, which the legislative elite of the new Federal Republic rediscovered only four years after the end of World War II and the incredible catastrophe of the Germans under the National Socialists, thank God. That was not accidental. After all, it was also an unprecedented break with civilization by the arbitrary legislation that Europe experienced and suffered under the Nazis in Germany. 70 years ago Germany returned to the civilization of Europe and its Jewish-Christian heritage with this step and phrase. It was a stroke of luck, almost a miracle. And it was a homecoming.

And here we come with our brief reflection in the core of that point, the state  and constitutional law judge Ernst Wolfgang Böckenförde spoke out in 1964 in his famous and often cited dictum: "The liberal secular state lives on in conditions that it itself can not gaurantee. That is the great venture it has made for the sake of freedom.”

If, therefore, the state can not guarantee the necessary, life-giving conditions, others are called upon to guarantee and protect them as well as possible, or at least to remind them of them again and again. But in this country, that can not be first the parliaments and other chambers of the sovereign people. This is primarily a matter for churches and synagogues, especially in a radically pluralistic world. This is what Pope Benedict XVI did on September 22, 2011, when he stated in front of the German parliament in the Berlin Reichstag: "The idea of human rights, the idea of the equality of all people before the law, the recognition of the inviolability of human dignity in each of them is based on the conviction of a creator God. This knowledge of reason is our cultural memory, ignoring it or seeing it as a mere past would be an amputation of our culture as a whole and deprive it of its wholeness. "

I return to the initial question: is the dignity of man pulverizable, as the body of man? The answer is absolutely clear: no. Man, as an image of God, is not a collection of matter produced according to a certain pattern, or a clumped pile of cells that works for a certain lifetime, and then nothing more. As an image of God, man is called to seek and recognize with his soul his archetype, the true and eternal God, beyond his death - even if his body has already fallen apart and no longer exists. His dignity lies in his freedom to seek God and to know God, no matter where and how the individual is at the moment, which material constraints press him or which bodily afflictions hinder and burden him. His soul is created freely and it remains for all eternity.

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope that you can largely agree with me here and that neither you nor I will have problems with our respective employers because of this agreement.

For where you could agree with me in my previous reflection on human dignity, it shows how close Catholic moral teachings and convictions of the constitutional legislator once must have been. Of course, they were never identical. But the Basic Law is open from its origin to the natural law which the Creator has imprinted in his creature and in his creation. This is clearly demonstrated by the concept of human dignity. Is this still the case today in the general public, in the everyday life of the Federal Republic? Is the drawn view suitable for everyday use?

Of course, it can not be overlooked that you, ladies and gentlemen, in the distinguished forum of the Constitutional Court, with your case-law, are something of a legal navigator for the whole of Germany, which has undergone remarkable developments in recent years. For example, they have opened the door to same-sex partnerships between men or women, calling their marriage a "marriage," and with regard to the case-law relating to church labor law, the ladies and gentlemen of the Federal Labor Court have gained a lot of power.

I deceive myself by saying that the jurisprudence in Germany is almost always and everywhere hailed when it makes decisions that minimizes, eliminates or rejects consideration for Christian values and Christian moral concepts. And I can understand that very well.

In the immediate material concerns of a civilian divorced and remarried nurse, it may be important to continue to practice the profession. For two men or two women who love each other physically, it may be a great relief for society to create more comfortable living conditions. There is almost preprogrammed the jubilation for the legislation and jurisdiction that introduces such changes, and also the vilification for the Church, which does not come to this jubilation, even blocks it.

Do Church and state in Germany perhaps no longer speak of the same concept, if they invoke the dignity of man? Are Church and state now on different sides, separated by a deep ditch? At best, we have the same point of view, but we are looking in opposite directions. The Church does not want and must not only satisfy the material needs of man. It is not just Caritas, even though these and many other outstanding Catholic social and health care institutions naturally belong to the Church. The Church as a whole, however, is responsible for more, first and last, for the souls and their peace with themselves and God. The material concerns, on the other hand, are relative and constantly changing. The nurse just mentioned is no longer a nurse but a human in her spare time, in her retirement. The gay partners are - marriage, or not marriage - also old and are about to take the last step of their lives - and then sexual orientation no longer matters. Being a nurse or being homosexual is accidental, it does not really matter to being human. All homosexuals, divorcees, atheists and so on will once stand before God and before His judgment.

In the Last Judgment, it depends on their humanity, not on accidents such as sexual orientation, duration of a partnership, world view et cetera. The legislation and jurisprudence I have just targeted in Germany, however, is only concerned - may I once pronounce this in front of you so unguarded? - with these accidents, which of course require a necessary regulation in order to maintain the common good.

Let me continue to make it clear that the Federal Republic is on its way through history, seventy years after its foundation, to say goodbye to the priming of its original Christian-humanistic world view and of natural law. At this fork in the cross, Church and state are now going their own separate ways. It is a crossroads. That's what the Catholic Church understood. The fact that she can not help but cling to natural law and her Christian view of man is obvious. We can not and will not pass over the differences nicely. But perhaps I should now put my finger in this wound and introduce an alternative, natural law-based conception of jurisprudence and law creation from the Catholic side to once again to promote understanding and to open eyes, ears, heart and mind for classical Catholic positions,  but also in the foundations of the modern and prosperous Federal Republic, which, after the apocalyptic years of the "Third Reich" and the wars instigated by Hitler and his extermination campaign against the Jewish people, experienced a legal peace unprecedented in the history of Europe?

Nobody can close their eyes to this reconciliation. Who could have known this miracle 80 or 70 years ago? And I could almost conceive it as a small miracle that you have invited me as a member of that profession, whose reputation has recently come so terribly under the wheels, to take the floor today at this point. For this reason, allow me, in the following, not so much as a canonist, but above all as a Catholic priest, to address the word to you, who also had the undeserved fortune of being allowed to stand next to Pope Benedict at the altar in the last few years. And so I would like to ask you now to allow me to remind you of his epochal speech to the German Bundestag in September 2011 again, a longer passage in the wording:

"In a majority of legal matters, the majority may be a sufficient criterion, but that in the basic questions of law, which is about the dignity of man and humanity, the majority principle is not sufficient, it is obvious: Every person responsible must look for the criteria of his or her orientation in understanding the law ...

This conviction was what motivated resistance movements to act against the Nazi regime and other totalitarian regimes, thereby doing a great service to justice and to humanity as a whole. For these people, it was indisputably evident that the law in force was actually unlawful. Yet when it comes to the decisions of a democratic politician, the question of what now corresponds to the law of truth, what is actually right and may be enacted as law, is less obvious. In terms of the underlying anthropological issues, what is right and may be given the force of law is in no way simply self-evident today. The question of how to recognize what is truly right and thus to serve justice when framing laws has never been simple, and today in view of the vast extent of our knowledge and our capacity, it has become still harder.

How do we recognize what is right? In history, systems of law have almost always been based on religion: decisions regarding what was to be lawful among men were taken with reference to the divinity. Unlike other great religions, Christianity has never proposed a revealed law to the State and to society, that is to say a juridical order derived from revelation. Instead, it has pointed to nature and reason as the true sources of law – and to the harmony of objective and subjective reason, which naturally presupposes that both spheres are rooted in the creative reason of God.

Through this encounter, the juridical culture of the West was born, which was and is of key significance for the juridical culture of mankind. This pre-Christian marriage between law and philosophy opened up the path that led via the Christian Middle Ages and the juridical developments of the Age of Enlightenment all the way to the Declaration of Human Rights and to our German Basic Law of 1949, with which our nation committed itself to “inviolable and inalienable human rights as the foundation of every human community, and of peace and justice in the world”.

How do you recognize what is right? In history, legal systems have almost always been religiously founded: the view of the deity determines what is right among people. Unlike other great religions, Christianity has never given the state and society a right of revelation, nor a legal system of revelation. Instead, it referred to nature and reason as the true sources of law - to the harmony of objective and subjective reason, which of course presupposes the foundation of both spheres in the creative reason of God ...

For the development of law and for the development of humanity, it was highly significant that Christian theologians aligned themselves against the religious law associated with polytheism and on the side of philosophy, and that they acknowledged reason and nature in their interrelation as the universally valid source of law. This step had already been taken by Saint Paul in the Letter to the Romans, when he said: “When Gentiles who have not the Law [the Torah of Israel] do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves ... they show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness ...” (Rom 2:14f.). Here we see the two fundamental concepts of nature and conscience, where conscience is nothing other than Solomon’s listening heart, reason that is open to the language of being. If this seemed to offer a clear explanation of the foundations of legislation up to the time of the Enlightenment, up to the time of the Declaration on Human Rights after the Second World War and the framing of our Basic Law, there has been a dramatic shift in the situation in the last half-century. The idea of natural law is today viewed as a specifically Catholic doctrine, not worth bringing into the discussion in a non-Catholic environment, so that one feels almost ashamed even to mention the term”

After reading these words you will understand why I have so extensively quoted Benedict XVI. It is also an appeal to Christians in our society to return to a stronger and more courageous position.

We have seen that legislation and jurisprudence, pushed by a passing materialistic mainstream in public opinion, deal primarily with the accidental problems of being human. But we need to stick to the essence, and we hope in this way to be helpful as Christians to our homeland, in which we only speak with the majority, if it is the truth, and otherwise confess the truth in contradiction. Because that covers our constitution, in which one should feel comfortable as a Catholic and as an atheist. What is needed in a society where relativism and the rejection of religious truths are a good thing is a contribution to another truth, to a different perspective, to an alternative concept of the nature of man. The Church has always offered that over the centuries.

The continuation of the lecture can be read later.
