Communist Government of Venezuela Rocked by Massive Protests -- Possible Coup

All the Pope's horses and all the Pope's men, couldn't put poor Maduro together again!

Edit: Maduro has been globetrotting lately, attempting to gather support for his oppressive regime in various quarters, including fellow traveller, Pope Bergoglio. He may have to go into exile. See the mass demonstrations live, here.

Caracas (AFP) - Opponents of Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro rallied in the streets Wednesday and he convened a crisis security meeting as the leftist leader resisted their efforts to drive him from power.

Thousands of opposition supporters began to gather at seven points around Caracas in the morning and said they planned to march and join up in the east of the capital.

It is a key test of strength in a mounting political and economic crisis that is destabilizing the South American oil producer.

The socialist president and center-right-dominated opposition accuse each other of mounting a "coup" in a volatile country rich in oil but short of food.

Abbott of Mariawald Resigns -- War on Catholicism Continues

Edit: the Trappist Monastery of Mariawald is located in the vicinity of the of Heimbach with 4,400 inhabitants - it lies fifty kilometers southeast of Aachen. This monastery, which has seen some decent growth in the past, has changed over to the Immemorial Rite. The war against Catholicism internally continues.

We're extremely skeptical about any supposed continuation of tradition.  The irony is, this monastery was all but dead before they embraced tradition. The intention now appears to be they are going to make sure it goes back to being dead.

 Reported by Rorate:
In a letter to friends of the Abbey of Mariawald, O.C.S.O. published by Gloria.tv, Abbot Josef Vollberg has announced that he is resigning as abbot. As his reason Dom Vollberg states that he takes this step in order to avoid "the risk... that the abbey could be closed against the will of the community." The abbey will now be ruled by its pater immediatus, Abbot Bernardus Peeters of the Abbey of Koningshoeven in the Netherlands. Abbot Bernardus has appointed Dom Josef to serve as prior of the community after his resignation as abbot comes into effect on the first Sunday of Advent.
There are a lot of other communities that have far more serious problems that aren't being given these sorts of attentions.

Venezuela's President Makes Surprise Visit in the Vatican -- PopeReceives "Oppressors Instead of the Oppressed"

Venezuelan "Bolivian" President Nicolas Maduro at his first audience with Pope Francis in 2013. Maduro gave the pope a picture of the Venezuelan nationalist Simon Bolivar.

(Rome) Yesterday evening, the "Bolivian" President of Venezuela was received in audience in a surprising way by Pope Francis. The Venezuelan opposition accuses the Pope of having received the "oppressor instead of the oppressed."
Nicolas Maduro took over the presidency in 2013 after the death of his predecessor and party boss, Hugo Chavez. Maduro and Chavez belong, by  self-definition, to an "anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, internationalist, chavist, socialist" Bolivarian revolutionary movement. In 2007 they founded the Venezuelan Socialist Unity Party (PSUV), whose president is Maduro today.

In the past few days, Venezuela's head of state has been touring several countries. He visited Azerbaijan, Iran and Saudi Arabia, where he was received in Riyadh by King Salman ibn Abd al-Aziz. Venezuela has the largest oil deposits in the world and yet the population lives in bitter poverty.

Maduro's parents, his Venezuelan father was Jewish, the Colombian mother Catholic, were already active in the Venezuelan left-wing movement. Nicolas Maduro was baptized and educated Catholic. For a time-long Maduro was the supporter of the Indian guru Sathya Sai Baba, who died in 2011. He describes himself as a Christian.

The Vatican Press Office published the following statement yesterday evening:

"The meeting took place against the backdrop of the worrying situation of the political, social and economic crisis that has permeated the country and which has a strong impact on the daily life of the entire population. In this way, the Pope, who is concerned with the well-being of all the Venezuelans, would continue to offer his contribution to the country's institutionality and to every step that would help solve the open questions and create greater trust between the various sides. He has implores the courage to take the path of honest and constructive dialogue in order to alleviate the suffering of the people, especially the poor, and to foster a climate of renewed social cohesion, which allows us to hope with the hope of the future Nation. "

Maduro and the Vatican "disinformation"

In Venezuela, regime critics have claimed that Maduro was trying to stay abroad as long as possible in order not to face the dramatic problems in the country and the opposition.

Maduro was received by the Saudi king Salman ibn Abd al-Aziz before his surprising stopover in Rome.

On Saturday, when Maduro had already traveled abroad, Pope Francis sent the Apostolic Nuncio for Argentina, Monsignor Emil Paul Tscherrig, to Venezuela to mediate between the government and the opposition. The opposition calls the government a "dictatorship".

Criticism is also loud at the Vatican. The former Allende Minister,  Luis Badilla, who heads the semi-official Vatican press service, Il Sismografo, is said to have ideological sympathies for the Latin American leftist movements and leftist governments. Badilla described the Maduro visit as a "bold gesture" to "meet Pope Francis and talk about the drama of his country."

"Quasi incognito," said Madilla, he arrived in Santa Marta yesterday afternoon, where "he spent a long time talking to the Holy Father and some of his closest collaborators about the dramatic situation in his country." The country is at the "edge of the abyss", according to Badilla. There should be "neither victors nor vanquished", says the former Allende collaborator.

According to circles close to the maduro-critical Archbishop of Caracas, Pope Francis, wants to prevent the foreseeable overthrow of the "Bolivarian" rulers. In Venezuela, the fear is currently being raised that the "Bolivarists" would not accept the now inevitable end of their rule nonviolently.

In any case, Badilla had succeeded in distorting the events by "disinformation" so that the papal reception for the "oppressor" appeared as a "courageous step." The fact is that the "Francis has received the oppressor, but never the oppressed," already twice in audience.

On 9 October, Pope Francis had announced the appointment of a second Venezuelan as a cardinal. On 19 November, Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo, the Archbishop of Merida, was elevated to the rank of Cardinal by the Pope. Observers also see in it a papal attempt to support the "Bolivarian" national front. Cardinal Urosa Savino, Archbishop of Caracas and Primate of Venezuela, is the only cardinal in the country, who is known for his critical attitude towards the socialist regime.

Cardinal Urosa Savino had opposed the papal plans for a softening of the marriage Sacrament in the bishop's synod in 2015. The cardinalisation of Archbishop Porras Cardozo has served toward the neutralization of Cardinal Urosa Savino, while the government has received a high-ranking Catholic contact. Critics say that, in support of the Socialist Unity Party PSUV, Pope Francis even seemed to accept the division of the Venezuelan Church in a favorable way.

New Bishop of Ablerga-Imperia to Turn Altars to People -- "I don't like to celebrate Mass on a false altar"

(Rome) The small diocese of Albenga-Imperia on the Italian Riviera was led by Mario Oliveri, one of the most traditional bishops in Italy. In the priestly seminary the seminarians were trained in both forms of the Roman rite. Numerous priests also celebrated in the traditional form of the Roman rite. The bishop promoted the establishment of traditional communities. It's an attitude that brought him some enemies.

A handful of diocesan priests had been opposing the "too conservative" diocesan bishop since Oliveris's appointment by Pope John Paul II. Several times, with the help of a local daily newspaper, the liberal Secolo XIX, they unsuccessfully intrigued against the bishop.

With the election of Pope Francis, the bishops found an ear in Rome

The situation in the internal Church dispute changed suddenly with the election of Pope Francis. The opponents of the bishop suddenly found themselves an ear Rome about the bishop "di stampo tradizionalista" (traditionalist inclination), as he was called. Bishop Oliveri was a member of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship and the Order of the Sacraments, as well as a member of the Congregation of Clergy.

The beginning of the end of Msgr. Oliveri as diocesan bishop of Albenga-Imperia was the provisional administration by the Congregation of Religious of the Franciscans of the Immaculata, which was imposed in July 2013 with the approval of Pope Francis. Under Bishop Oliveri, the Order had set up three branches in the diocese, as well as the Marian pilgrimage site and Mass locations  in the traditional rite.

Bishop Oliveri was the only bishop to turn to the Holy See in the second half of the year, defending the traditional Father Stefano Maria Manelli. It was a gesture that did not sit well with either the Apostolic Commissioner or the Holy See. The reaction to the episcopal defenses was not long in coming. The Commissioner closed all three religious branches in the diocese shortly before Christmas 2013.

Campaign against Bishop Oliveri

A short time later, the daily Il Secolo XIX, which had already initiated a campaign against the bishop in the previous years, opened a large-scale campaign against Monsignor Oliveri. The newspaper eagerly reported what had been given to it by Church leaders. When the campaign was launched, these insiders apparently had already done some work in Rome, because the newspaper already suggested a possible removal of the bishop.

"Is this the poor church that Pope Francis wishes?"

"Is this the poor church that Pope Francis wishes?" The Secolo XIX revolted by the sight of seminarians in this image with Bishop Oliveri.

"After a long series of scandals involving numerous priests of his diocese," Pope Francis had initiated an investigation.  This is what you can read on the Italian Wikipedia page, which is certainly not a guarantor of neutrality. The reality, however, looks different: big headlines, little content.

Pope Francis had been disturbed the "preference" for baroque chasubles and surpluses with lace, according to Secolo XIX. A reproach, which was supposed to suggest "pomposity", actually meant the rejection of the traditional liturgy.

"Is this the poor church that Pope Francis wants?" The daily newspaper Secolo XIX asked with artificial indignation under the picture here, which shows Bishop Oliveri with seminarians.

"Prayed For Benedict XVI"

Priests were also accused of "inappropriate" behavior, and in cleverly formulated sentences they suggested sexual misconceptions of all kinds. On closer examination of the sentences, no concrete accusations were raised, which would be capable of defending successfully if they were prosecuted for defamation.

Priests would "continue" to pray  for Benedict XVI. raged Secolo XIX, scandalized that  Masses in the traditional rite were close to secret societies ( "semicarbonare", in reference to the Masonic Carbonari in Italy in the first half of the 19th century). In short: the usual ingredients with which secular media nowadays expose a Catholic bishop and Catholic priest to public mockery and leads to social ostracism. Actions of this kind usually take place from antagonistic circles in the Church, who use the help of willing media to carry out their intrigues.

Transitional period 2015: Bishop-Koadjutor Borghetti (front), Bishop Oliveri (behind).

In his little diocese, Bishop Oliveri had more seminarians than some large dioceses. But even that had to be bad since he was "conservative." In the meantime, seminarians are quite undesired in some "modern" and laity-oriented dioceses. The more seminarians, the more "suspect" is a bishop, he is "Conservative" or - even worse - "traditional." Pope Francis "does not like it", said the Secolo XIX 2014, reporting that the seminarians were  "wearing the most precious surplices" and in the majority coming from "other dioceses". The first accusation is simply silly, as the picture published in the accusation shows (see above). The second is that young men who are called to the priesthood who seek a seminary in which the sacramental priesthood is not questioned and the formation of a priestly self-consciousness is not hampered. Liberal dioceses are not at the same time reproached for the fact that they have more seminarians from Africa than native ones. It is still problematic that in the dioceses of the German-speaking world, a quarter to one third of the total clergy, whether lent or incardinated, come from Poland and Nigeria.

"Excessive attachment to the traditional liturgy"

The accusation collection of the Secolo XIX, which for a whole year was the driving force against Bishop Oliveri, contained in the same paragraph the accusation of having ordained "gay" priests  and ordaining "anti-gays." Both were charged by the newspaper accusingly, whereby - hardly surprisingly - only the allegedly "anti-gay" priests were actually named. The bishop was also accused of having ordained priests who actually take seriously the existence of the devil and hell.

The main assertion can be found only in the last paragraph of a long indictment and slander of the Secolo XIX of October 31, 2014:

"The exaggerated attachment to the traditional liturgy - almost all the altars of the diocese were turned around as a tribute to the Motu proprio [Summorum Pontificum] granted by Ratzinger - will be examined in future by Francis."

With "turned altars" the daily newspaper said that again ad Deum or ad orientem was celebrated and no longer turned to the people according to the Protestant example. This was the real, unheard-of "scandal" of Bishop Oliveri. Bishop Oliveri had been the first diocesan bishop of the world in 2008, according to the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum by Pope Benedict XVI. a pontifical High Mass from the throne. Seven Franciscan nuns of the Immaculata, at that time, made their solemn profession in the Convent of Imperia before the bishop. Someone in the church had been present to observe this unfavorably.

The new bishop: "I do not like to celebrate the Mass on a false altar"

After a year of stiring the pot, Bishop Oliveri was defacto disempowered by Francis on January 10, 2015,  without mentioning reasons, by appointing to him a Bishop Coadjutor. On September 1, 2016 Bishop Oliveri became emeritus, and the Coadjutor, Guglielmo Borghetti became the new diocesan bishop of Albenga-Imperia. In the official language  it was suddenly said that everything would remain the same, with which, after successful settlements, even the believing Catholics would be reassured.

A year and a half later, things are quite different.  Secolo XIX reported on 22 October with satisfaction at the first measures of the new bishop:

"The new course of Borghetti: altar facing the faithful. Stopping the nostalgic priests from celebrating Mass with their backs turned to the people."

Bishop Borghetti is quoted in the Saturday edition with the sentence:

"I do not like to come to parishes and celebrate mass on a false altar: all the churches must have beautiful altars facing the people."

The bishop used the word "posticcio", which means "artificial", "false", "ambiguous".

The Secolo XIX said in the usual aggressive tone:

"No more celebrations with the priest, who turns his back on the people of God, except in small chapels (...) In short, the opening of Benedict XVI. For the Latin Mass has to refer to exceptions, not to a general tendency."

"Little notion of the poor Church of Pope Francis, open to the people of God"

In order to avoid any doubt, Bishop Borghetti promised a drawing that would show the "ideal altar space" according to which the priests would have to address themselves, according to the newspaper.

Of the "sex scandals" drummed up for a whole year, the newspaper knows nothing more than at the appointment of Borghetti as the Coadjutor. A mocking page, however, was also missing in the article of October 22nd. It once again reveals the real, ideologically motivated background:

"Who knows how those priests who have replaced the 'counciliar altar' with the traditional one and who have little idea of the poor Church of Pope Francis and Bishop Borghetti, who have been open to the people of God, have ever anticipated by the Council?"

Whoever defends faith and liturgy in the traditional form has therefore "little knowledge of the poor Church" of Pope Francis and is against the "people of God."

Officially, Bishop Borghetti emphasized several times, not to distinguish between "progressive" and "traditionalists". Such "categories" do not exist for him, but "only Church ecclesiastics. What also applies in the Church is also true in Albenga-Imperia," the bishop said. The rest is a matter of interpretation.

Diocese of Fargo Forbids Mass Said Facing Liturgical East

Update: in the last few hours we've got one denial, but we've heard from a very reliable source that this is very much in the works.

A Mass said the way it's supposed to be.
[Fargo, North Dakota] At least four priests of the Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota have been forbidden by edict [at least a letter] from saying Mass the way Catholics have been praying it since the times of the Apostles. It's not difficult to look for the source of such a diabolical animus against the traditions of the Church and the desire to confuse the laity.

The Diocese of Fargo was established in 1889 and includes 30 counties of approximately 35,786 square miles in eastern North Dakota. It has a population of 71,211 Catholics out of a total population of 408,101 (17.5%). There are 132 priests (including active, retired and those serving outside the diocesan area), 42 permanent deacons, 89 religious sisters and 131 parishes in the diocese. (The Official Catholic Directory 2015).

It is headed by Bishop John Thomas Folda, who was ordained for the diocese of Lincoln Nebraska and consecrated bishop on 19 June, 2013. He attended St. Charles Borromeo in Philadephia, which might be the source of his problem. One wouldn't think a protege of Bishop Flavin wouldn't be this bad.

We've gone through the motions and contacted the chancery, but they have not contacted us.

Feel free to contact the diocese about their deplorable ignorance of the traditions of the Church, if you can get through their menu maze. Diocese of Fargo: Liturgy "Expert" 5201 Bishops Blvd. S., Suite AFargo, ND 58104-7605 Phone: (701) 356-7900

"En Route" -- In January a New Interview Book by Andrea Tornielli with Pope Francis

Pope Pope Francis and the House Vaticanist
(Rome) On Sunday, he published together with his colleague Giacomo Galeazzi a kind of list of proscriptions for the Pope's critics. Yesterday, the publishing house Piemme announced that it will write a new book on Pope Francis.
We're talking about Andrea Tornielli, who holds the office of unofficial papal house Vaticanist since 2013. The new book, which will be released in January 2017 is entitled "In viaggio" (En Route). The book will be a "long, exclusive interview with Francis contained, as the publisher announced."
Andrea Tornielli and Pope Francis are to repeat the recipe which led to the worldwide success with the book at the beginning of 2016 "Il nome di Dio è Misericordia"  (The Name of God is Mercy), which has appeared in 100 countries and has been translated into 35 languages.
The year 2016 was marked by new releases into the book market by four ecclesiastical personalities of the highest order.  It all started in January, Pope Francis, followed in April by Prefect Gerhard Cardinal Müller with his Spanish language book "Informe sobre la Esperanza" (State of the Hope).
In September Benedict XVI followed with his interview book, "The Last Conversations" with Peter Seewald, and finally in October, Cardinal Prefect Robert Sarah with the book submitted in French "La Force du Silence" (The Power of Silence).
While the interview books  by Francis and Benedict XVI. were simultaneously published in several languages,  translations of the other two books are in preparation. All four are conceived to develop an international effect.
Pope Francis also wants  to release another interview book in  2017 that will explain from the pen of Andrea Tornielli what Pope Francis intends for the Catholic Church. According publishing information the book has caused quite an international stir among publishers even before tomorrow's opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair. "First offers" for translations into other languages have already been received, says Piemme .

Renewed Papal "Hostility" Against Cardinal Sarah -- Who Can and Can Not?

(Rome) Cardinal Robert Sarah, who has been   Prefect of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments since the autumn of 2014, has developed over the past two years into one of the most prolific and courageous representatives of the universal Church. His traditional understanding of the Church and his public ministry has led to increasing rejection in papal circles. Within the last three months, the Cardinal of Guinea has been rebuffed for the second time.
Cardinal Sarah says what he thinks and he knows what he is talking about. He has written, among other things, two books. The first book, "God or Nothing", was published in 2015 and became a Catholic bestseller worldwide. Since then it has been translated into thirteen languages and topped numerous books on Pope Francis.
Recently the Cadinal's new book, "La Force du silence" (The Power of Silence) was presented in Paris.Translations in other languages are in preparation, and there is every indication that this book will be a sales success.

Clear language is essential for renewal of the Church

The clear language, spoken by the Cardinal, is different from the ambiguous formulations currently preferred in Rome which leave much room for interpretation. The controversial post-synodal Letter Amoris Laetitia became a prime example of the new papal language. Although the Church leader has been asked publicly by various groups of theologians and philosophers to provide clarity to ambiguous formulations, or withdraw the document,  the reigning pontiff has avoided since 2013 from a definition. Pope Francis hides behind references to third parties, without taking even their interpretations himself. He repeated several times, the authentic interpretation of Amoris Laetitia was what Cardinal Schoenborn explained at the presentation of the document in Rome on the 8th of April. What the Archbishop of Vienna said has not been exactly repeated by the Pope. Lately, a "pastoral document" of the bishops of the ecclesiastical province of Buenos Aires consider it as the "authentic" interpretation. There is "no need" to add anything, said Francis, but without saying what exactly is said in this document. Those in Rome speak cautiously of an "indirect interpretation". The braver ones say that it is "obvious" that Pope Francis wants to change previous doctrine, but he does not dare to say it. He therefore is handling things more "dietro le quinte" behind the scenes.
The black African Sarah is made of different stuff. He speaks in clear language, because he considers it essential for a renewal of the Church.

Call for all priests to celebrate ad orientem from First Sunday of Advent

Last July 5 Cardinal Sarah spoke as a speaker at the 2016 Sacra Liturgia UK Conference in London, asking all priests worldwide to celebrate Mass ad orientem in 2016 from the First Sunday of Advent, and on the basis that Pope Francis (see Cardinal Sarah: call to priests , from First Sunday of Advent 2016 to celebrate ad orientem again ).
The cardinal said:
"It is very important that we return as soon as possible to a common direction of prayer of the faithful and priests - to the east or at least the direction of Apse -. from whence the Lord will come again"
So he repeated a statement he had made in May in an interview with the French magazine Famille Chrétien. The Cardinal also contradicted the assertion spread in recent decades that the priests  turn their  "backs on" the people, he also celebrates facing ad orientem (to the east). It is "essential that the priest and the faithful face east together. That is exactly what Council Fathers wanted "because" priests and faithful face together in the same direction, on the returning Lord, whom they expect." In the rubrics for the celebration of Mass it was specified exactly when the priest turns to the people (see Cardinal Sarah: "Priests, celebrate ad orientem" ).

Cardinal Robert Sarah

In some circles the brightest excitement prevailed and it was followed by the first affront to Cardinal Sarah. One could also speak of a shot across the bow. On the 11th of July an anonymous statement was published by the Press Office of the Vatican. One does not know which dicastery and which person was responsible. Yet it is certain that it has been endorsed by Santa Marta, otherwise they would not have been published by the Press Office.

Vatican statement with "irritating nonsense"

With the statement  someone hastened to clarify that "no new liturgical directives" are provided for the start of Advent, as someone "falsely" had concluded from the words of Cardinal Sarah. It should also be "better to avoid the expression, 'reform of the reform' regarding the liturgy, as it was sometimes a source of misunderstandings."
In short, Cardinal Sarah's statements were denied by mention of his name. Moreover, the Cardinal was virtually represented as a liar. In the anonymous the Vatican statement it said: "This all happened by mutual agreement within the course of a recent audience that the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship was granted by the Pope." (see also Direction of Celebration: Pope Francis stops foray by Cardinal Sarah ).
The matter was quite differently explained  from the point of view of the Cardinal addressed. Cardinal Sarah appealed specifically to Pope Francis. He presented to him his liturgical concerns, and the Pope had encouraged him.
In London, the cardinal had announced:
"It seems to me useful to remember what I have said on other occasions: Pope Francis asked me to continue the extraordinary liturgical work begun by Benedict XVI.  (see. the message to the Sacra Liturgia-Meeting 2015 in New York, USA). It is not so that the views of his predecessor is ruled out, because we have a new Pope. On the contrary, the Holy Father Francis has an immense respect for the liturgical point of view and for the retired Pope Benedict XVI.  in conscientious fidelity to the intentions and objectives of the Council Fathers' implemented decisions."
This startled the  papal entourage which also responded and denied what the cardinal from Guinea so fearlessly and steadfastly maintains. Cardinal Sarah has stuck resolutely to what has been said, because he is convinced of the profound importance of celebrating Mass facing liturgical east: "The Lord will come from the east", which is why priests and people in the sacred liturgy should turn together to the east, as the whole Church has done more than 1900 years ( Jesus will return from the east, but in the Vatican they have misplaced the compass - Cardinal Sarah reaffirms foray to celebrate Mass ad orientem ).
The anonymous press release from the Vatican clearly explained concerns  that haunt the papal entourage. It also "clarified" that the Missal of Paul VI. is the "ordinary form" of the Roman Rite, and as such should not be replaced by the "extraordinary form".  It was also "clarified" that the altar must always be designed in such a way that the celebratio versus populum can be performed. A "false" statement, according to experts, because this quoted from Institutio Generalis Romani Missalis 2002 only applies to new churches. A celebration direction to the people moreover, was also as the leading liturgists agree, liturgical "nonsense," because the priest turns in the Eucharistic celebration with the people  to God and not to the people. Every priest  can and should celebrate eastwards, repeated Cardinal Sarah again. This requires neither a permit nor a change in the rules in force, because it corresponds to the applicable regulations.

The Outreach

In his new book "La Force du silence," Cardinal Sarah reaffirms the need to celebrate "versus orientem": The reform of the post-conciliar liturgical reform will take place, because it is necessary, said the Cardinal Prefect.
A week after the book came onto the market, a second affront to the Cardinal followed and again directly from the papal entourage.
This coming October 27 the academic year for the  Pontifical Institute of John Paul II for Studies on Marriage and Family  opened its academic year. Cardinal Sarah is to have given the opening speech. But now everything is different. The opening speech will now be held by Pope Francis personally.
The change was disavowed not only by Cardinal Sarah, it also relates to the institution itself, which was founded by John Paul II., together with Cardinal Carlo Caffarra and also in connection with the Synod of Bishops on the Family, deciding how to hold firm on the sacrament of marriage and the traditional moral teaching of the Church. Too firm according to the papal entourage, because the Institute's attitude stands in the way of the "new mercy"  to which Cardinal Kasper and Pope Francis  showed the way.
Although the staff of the Institute are the official, papal experts in marriage and family, they were neither consulted on the preparations nor the synod. Thus, the Institute has been clearly shown that his line is no longer desirable.
Last summer, Pope Francis made a tabula rasa . He replaced the leaders of the Institute from their positions and assigned those of his orientation. The new Grand Chancellor was Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia of the Community of Sant'Egidio (Assisi Interreligious Meeting), who is also appointed as the new President of the Pontifical Academy For Life. The New institute director was Pierangelo Sequeri. In other words, Pope Francis brought the Institute which held to "the Old"  back "on track" (see "Stormed and Humiliated" - The Rebuilding of the Institute John Paul II by Francis and the "sexual revolution in the Vatican". )
The Vatican expert Sandro Magister wrote:
"The result is, that Paglia has boasts to all and sundry of having received the assurance from the Pope that he will personally hold the opening speech for the new course 'of the Institute, dedicated to the contemporary and  openness - instead of the outdated and closed Sarah."

Neo-Cardinal Cupich: "My Interpretation of Amoris Laetitia is That of Pope Francis"

(Washington) The Cardinal in Spe, Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, stated in an interview that his interpretation of the controversial post-synodal letter Amoris laetitia "is the same from Pope Francis."

From a progressive outsider to the influential church prince

Monsignor Cupich was not only the Bishop of the tiny Diocese of Spokane in the state of Washington in 2014, but also the progressive outsider in the American Episcopal Conference. Nevertheless, or just as observers say, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Chicago, one of the most important diocese in the world. Since then, the Argentine pope has been calling on  Cupich to bring the US episcopate on a Bergoglio course, or at least become a troublesome thorn in the flesh of a recently quite compact episcopate.

Since the American bishops did not pick Cupich perhaps because of his liberal line, for the bishop's synod on the family, Pope Francis personally appointed him.

Last Sunday, the Catholic church leader announced that he would honor Cupard on 19th November with the Cardinal dignity. Two diocesan bishops of the United States were given the purple. Among them, there is no "conservative", no less embarrassing to the papal entourage than the "traditionalists."

Cupich proved "worthy" of papal trust and distinguished himself in Chicago and Rome as a representative of the "New Mercy". The Catholic online daily Nuova Bussola Quotidiana wrote of "deliramenta of a pope confidante". What is meant by this is the emphasis on "subjective conscience".

The "untouchable" subjective conscience

The "New Mercy", where it comes in contradiction to the delivered Church doctrine, confronts the latter with the "personal conscience".

On October 16, 2015, Archbishop Cupich repeated this old-progressive thesis for journalists to declare his support for the admission of newly married divorced to Communion: "When people arrive at a decision of conscience, it is our task to help them go further and to respect them. The conscience is inviolable and we have to respect it when they make their decision, and I have always done it."

Whoever says A also says B, so the same rule, according to Cupich, also applies to homosexuals. The doyen of leftist journalism in Italy, the Eugenio Scalfari, who hails from a Masonic house,, had put words in Pope Francis' mouth, without the Vatican having denied it, that the subjective conscience is an "inviolable" and "respectable" arbiter.

Vatican Insider published an interview, which the papal court vaticanist Andrea Tornielli held with Cupich on the occasion of his elevation to the cardinal rank. Yesterday, the  English and Spanish version appeared, today also the Italian.

Tornielli: One of the most discussed topics of the past few months was the interpretation of the eighth chapter of Exhoratio Amoris Laetitia regarding the remarried divorced. There were different interpretations: there are those who say that nothing has changed, and those who say that something has changed. What is your position on this?

Archbishop Cupich: My position is the same as that of Pope Francis, who has indicated that the proper interpretation of “Amoris Laetitia” was given by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn and then again by the bishops of Argentina, for which the Pope noted “no further interpretation is needed.” So if people want to know what I think, they should refer to those sources. I also draw attention to the fine article written by Professor Rocco Buttiglione in L’Osservatore Romano on July 19 of this year, which I reprinted in our archdiocesan newspaper. Professor Buttiglione makes a convincing case for the continuity of the teaching of Pope Francis on these matters with his predecessors and with The Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Radical Feminists and Marxists Attempt to Storm Rosario Cathedral

(Buenos Aires) Every year, violent left-wing extremists and radical feminists try to storm a cathedral in Argentina with the demand for "free abortion".

The occasion is the annual Encuentro Nacional de Mujeres organized by various Marxist groups, whose 31st event will take place 8-10th of October.
The target of the attacks is the bishop's church of the city where the annual meeting takes place. This year  Rosario, with a million inhabitants, which is the third largest city in Argentina after Buenos Aires and Cordoba.

With naked upper bodies,
radical feminists - supported by male left-wing extremists - like Furies, attempted to storm the cathedral on Sunday evening. Walls were built around the church by the Catholic side. Before that, Catholic men gathered together and formed a living shield, while the attackers insulted them with insult and curses.

Although every year the attack on the Episcopal Church is the "highlight" of the left-wing extremist spectacle, the security measures of the state were little more than meager. The police, charged with the protection of the church, allowed the demonstrators to dismantle the defenses in front of their eyes. It was only late that the police dispersed the attack with tear gas and rubber bullets. Throughout the demonstration, violence, vandalism and material damage had taken place. Hundreds of shop windows were broken, garbage containers were lit, street barricades erected, slogans were written on house walls and asphalt.

The terrifying hate was revealed  by stones, bottles, and iron shells, which were hurled against the police and supporters by the violent protesters, because they kept them from the storming of the cathedral.

The half-naked abortionists mocked the pope and shouted, "We want to abort. No pig controls our bodies." There were banners like, "No Revolution without Feminism" and  "The Church in the Trash."

The following chant was heard:

"We swear, the churches will burn".

The civil war-like conditions in the town of Rosario caused by radical feminists and other left-wing extremists, with significant material damage, convey a sense of what would have happened in the cathedral if the wild mob had gained access.

Although the Marxist demonstrators are the attackers, photographing the "adversaries", whether of the Catholic prayer or the police, seems to be a kind of superstitious, left-wing extremist ritual.

The following two videos deliver first pictures of the unleashed mob last Sunday. The third video shows the assault two years ago against the praying Catholics who protected their cathedral, to give an impression of what happened in front of the cathedral this year. Because of the scenes shown, sensitive people are discouraged from the viewing.

Bishop Bonny (Antwerp): "New Rituals for the Blessing of Aberrosexuals and Second Marriages"

Bishop Bonny wants "New Rituals" for the blessing of aberrosexuals
and second marriages

(Brussels) Johan Bonny, the Bishop of Antwerp in Belgium, wants a private ritual to bless gay couples, second marriages and "wild marriages".
On the 6th of October, the Gazet van Antwerpen reported the plans of the bishop. In a few days, on 11 October, Bonny's book " Mag ik? Dank je. Sorry.Vrijmoedige dialoog over Relaties, huwlijk en gezin "(May I? Thank you. Sorry. Frank dialogue about relationships, marriage and family) will appear. As the Antwerp newspaper reported, the bishop is thinking aloud about "new religious rituals." In cooperation with Roger Burggraeve (Emeritus Professor of Moral Theology at the Theological Faculty of the Catholic University of Leuven ) and Ilse Van Halst (editor of the Antwerp church newspaper Kerk & Leven ) he says of the resulting book: "The question is whether we were able to put it all in a single model."
"Should we not develop various rituals in which we can recognize the reality of life between homosexuals and also from an ecclesiastical and religious perspective?
Because, says Bishop Bonny, homosexual couples can enter into an exclusive and long term relationship."The deep symbolic bond between the different sexes and the fertility of this relationship, becomes the real sacramental covenant," reported the newspaper about Bonny's theses.
Even remarried divorcees, says Bonny, demand a differentiating approach. The Antwerp Bishop "believes that the Church in some cases can bless a second union," wrote Gazet van Antwerpen .
"It is known that the Orthodox Church traditionally practiced the confirmation of a new union for reasons of charity, which allows the new couple to find a place in the community. This new blessing is not a repeat or a substitute for the first sacramental marriage. That was and remains unique."
Johan Bonny was  in 2008 at the request of Cardinal Godfried Danneels and with the help of the then apostolic nuncio in Belgium, Karl-Josef Rauber, named by  Benedict XVI. as Bishop of Antwerp.

Belgian Situation

Cardinal Danneels, at that time Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels and Primate of Belgium received criticism  because of his liberal views and aberrophilic church policy. 2010, where there were spectacular house searches in the episcopal palace and a scandalous grave desecration by the Belgian police, of the graves of departed bishops. There were no findings, and no official apology. Danneels survived everything.
Only Pope Benedict XVI. sought to correct the liberal course of the Belgian Church. This had previously become highly visible in the year, when only a single bishop defended the German Pope against the unprecedented criticism by the Belgian Parliament. The Parliament, unique in its history, had condemned the Pope's statement in a formal resolution, during his visit to Africa where he had reaffirmed the ecclesiastical condemnation of artificial contraception.

Catholic Action Flanders published this picture in response to Bonny's statements about a homo-event. What do children probably  think of the picture, who are the irresponsible ones there?

Against Cardinal Dannneels' wishes,  Benedict XVI. named this single courageous bishop, André-Joseph Léonard of Namur, as Primate of Belgium in January 2010. From the majority of progressive Church in Belgium, this was regarded as an unprecedented affront, one for which it has never forgiven Benedict. Nuncio Rauber, who was standing with these groups in the best of terms, led an outrageous media campaign and criticized the decision of Benedict publicly, which resulted in a dismissal from Belgium and Luxembourg and - because he had just become 75 - to retire.
Cardinal Danneels was, as was announced on 23 November 2014 in a book on the pope by the Englishman Austen Ivereigh, that along with Walter Kasper and Karl Lehmann, he had organized "Team Bergoglio"," for the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio in conclave of 2013. On September 22, in 2015. this became known by a Danneels biography and from his own mouth that he was, since the 90s  subversive, belonging to clandestine circles within the Church. Named after the meeting in Sankt Gallen in Switzerland and founded by the  Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini SJ, deceased in 2012,  the aim was to achieve the election of a progressive pope and to boycott the activity established by the "restorative" Popes John Paul II. and Benedict XVI. Danneels explained frankly that the members of the secret circle thought of themseleves as "the Mafia."

Belgium Church remains in progressive hands

After the election of Pope Francis the bounty did not remain. Archbishop Leonard was denied the dignity of Cardinal. This however was a humiliating slap for Leonard and for Benedict XVI. for former Nuncio Rauber .  Francis retired Leonard at  75 years, although he was in perfect health. The new Archbishop and Primate was Joszef De Kesel, Danneels' preferred candidate before the "accident" Leonard. The attempt at a turnaround in the liberal occupied Belgian Church, which Pope Benedict XVI. had tried timidly, has since been considered "eradicated". Archbishop De Kesel called a few months after taking office for the abolition of priestly celibacy from, an old demand of the ecclesiastical '68ers. In this context, there was also the expulsion of a "too conservative"  French priestly community of Belgium whose ability to attract  priestly vocations in a considerable volume, bothered the usual complaint [pretext] over the "prevailing lack of priests."
Bishop Bonny attracted considerable attention by an accentuated aberroophilic attitude. The turn of 2014/2015 saw the demand that the Church should recognize homosexuality stir.  A Petition from faithful Catholics, turned to the Pope and demanded a clarification of the question whether Bonnys Homo-looking statements "are Catholic or not." Rome remained silent. Instead Bonny was summoned by the Belgian Bishops 'Conference in June 2015 appointed to Synod for the Bishops' Synod  on the family. Pope Francis in turn appointed Cardinal Danneels personally to synod. On May 6, 2015 Primate Leonard completed his 75th year. On November 6 De Kesel was announced as his successor. With that, the "reconquest" of Brussels was successfully completed by progressive church circles.

Gender-Ideology: When the Pope Contradicts Himself

Pope Francis criticized gender ideology on October 1st, and then
contradicted himself on October 2nd to deny his statement. The
photo doesn't show the homo flag, but the peace flag which are
similar. For these symbols see the article "Seagulls and Ravens
Hunt the Pope's Doves -- of Signs and Symbols."

(Rome) After his Georgia visit, the media reported that Pope Francis criticized the gender ideology. OsservatorioGender by Rodolfo de Mattei has reached, however, a different conclusion. The papal statements on gender theory are quite ambivalent in total. The Pope criticized the gender ideology in order "to contradict himself and to deny" within 24 hours. The overall attitude of the pope on aberrosexuality is ambiguous, since he made the most famous phrase of his pontificate on the return flight from Rio de Janeiro on 29 July 2013: "If a person is gay, who am I to judge him?"

The opinion of the Catholic Pontiff on gender ideology in Georgia consist of two parts. On October 1, a meeting of the Pope with priests, religious, seminarians and pastoral workers was held in the Church of the Assumption in Tbilisi. Francis addressed Irina's, a Georgian woman, concerns about gender theory.

Pope Francis answered her spontaneously:
"You, Irina have mentioned a great enemy of marriage today: Gender theory. There is a global war today to destroy marriage. Today, there are ideological colonialisms that are destructive: They destroy not with weapons, but with ideas. Therefore you have to defend against ideological colonialisms. "
On the return flight on October 2nd to Rome, Pope Francis addressed a Rome correspondent from the progressive National Catholic Reporter about it. Joshua McElwee asked the Pope also: "What would you say to a person who has suffered for years with their sexuality and really feels that there is a biological problem that her physical appearance does not coincide with what he or she considers as their sexual identity? How would you accompany these people as a shepherd and priest?"
Katholisches.info has already published the wordy answer by the Pope already published (see The capital of Vézelay: Pope Francis in the school of Eugen Drewermann? ), Yet they want to play again in the full text for better understanding.
Pope Francis: First of all I have in my life as a priest, as a bishop - accompanied persons with homosexual orientation and homosexual acts - as Pope. I accompanied them, I have led them to be led to the Lord, some may not, but I have accompanied them and never let anyone down. This is what to do. You must accompany the person  like Jesus accompanies them. Go away, because you're gay, No: If a person who has this condition comes before Jesus, Jesus will not say that!

What I have said to the malignancy, which today leads to the indoctrination of gender theory: A French father told me that they were talking at the table with the kids - he is  Catholic, the wife Catholic, the children catholic, superficial, but catholic - and he asked the ten year-old son: 'and you, what do you want do when you grow up?'  A girl. And the father then discovered that  gender theory was taught in textbooks. This is against the natural order of things. One thing is that a person has this tendency, this option and there is also gender reassignment. Another thing is to carry out the instruction in the schools on this line to change the mentality. I call this ideological colonization.'
Last year I received a letter from a Spaniard who told me his story as a child and as a teenager. She was a girl and suffered a lot, because she felt like a boy, but physically was a girl. She told her mother when she was already 22 years old. And she told her that she wanted a sex change and all these things. The mother had asked her not to do it as long as she lives. She was old and died soon. She then made the appointment. He is an employee of a ministry in a Spanish town. He went to the bishop. The bishop has very solicitous of him, a good bishop: he has given up a lot of time, 'to accompany this man. Then he got married. He has changed his civic identity, got married and wrote me a letter that it would be a consolation for him to be allowed to visit me with his wife: he, the one who was a she, but then is a he.  And I have received him. They were satisfied. And in the neighborhood where he lives, there was an old, octogenarian priest, the former pastor of the parish where the old religious sisters helped there ... And there was the new [pastor]. When he finally saw him, he scolded him on the sidewalk!  You'll go to Hell, when he met, the old man told him this: When were you to confess the last time? Come, come with, I'll hear your confession, and then you may receive Communion.' Have you understood? Life is life, and the things you have to take as they come. Sin is sin. The inclinations or the hormonal imbalance cause big problems, and we need to beware and not say, 'It's all the same, let's celebrate'. No not that. But suppose any case, accompany him, learn from him, differentiate and integrate him.  That's what Jesus would do today.
And, please, do not say, The Pope will canonize the Trans, Please! I can already see the headlines ... No, no.
Are there any doubts about what I said? I want to be clear. It is an issue of morality. It is a problem. It is a human problem. And you have to solve it as best you can, always with the mercy of God, with the truth, as we have said in the case of marriage, by reading the whole of Amoris laetitia, but always, always with an open heart. And do not forget that chapter of Vezelay. It is very beautiful, very beautiful."
The answer is wordy, but cryptic. "Rather than creating clarity on the relationship between the Catholic Church and aberrosexuality, he sowed new confusion by promoting free interpretations and easy instrumentalisation," said OsservatorioGender .
Briefly formulated, the Pope legitimized ultimately what he claims to reject. With the sentence: "He who is a she, but he is" legitimized by the leader of the Church what the gender ideologues proclaim. A person who comes with a biological sex to the world, can - with or without sex change - change his sex.
"Paradoxically, this contradicts what Pope Francis said earlier in the day with his critique of gender ideology and denies it."
The gender ideologues can now respond that they are not saying anything else, than the Pope also said in his "flying press conference".
"What seems to upset the Pope is not so much the content of the gender ideology, but the nature of their distribution, which he sees as ideological colonialism 'in the context of globalization," says OsservatorioGender .
The Church has always and unnreservedly condemned the "vice against nature" and is supported thereby with numerous passages of Scripture that speak of an "abomination" and a "blatant sin", and numerous statements of the Fathers, the Doctors of the Church and the Holy the Popes.  Pope Francis is in no way to blame for the epidemic spread of the confusion that is currently underway in Church and Society. Rather, he gave his infamous statements of 29 July 2013 without stating the Church's teaching, giving the go-ahead at the highest level.
