After the Acquittals: Half-Audience for Barbarin None for Pell

(Rome) Last Friday, May 29th, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin was received by Pope Francis. It was the first meeting between the head of the church and the purple bearer since his acquittal by the court, where he was charged with covering up sexual abuse by a priest who is now a layman. It was not an audience for the cardinal. The second acquitted cardinal, the Australian George Pell, is also waiting to be received by Francis and thus rehabilitated. However, neither seems to have been intended and desired by Rome in either case.

No return despite acquittal. Two cardinals have so far been brought to justice in connection with the sexual abuse scandal: Cardinal Barbarin for cover-up and Cardinal Pell for sexual abuse. An unprecedented situation in the history of criminal law. Both were acquitted after several years of proceedings and media prejudice. Pope Francis' attitude towards both remained ambivalent. Even after the acquittals, there was no direct audience, which would be a visible sign of their rehabilitation.

"We Need a Pope Who Doesn't Wink at the Great Powers and Global Lobbies"

(Rome) The well-known psychiatrist and criminologist Alessandro Meluzzi is a television star in Italy. The most important criminal cases end up on his table or are analyzed by him in the media. On the occasion of the 100th birthday of John Paul II, he criticized the incumbent head of the Church.

The 100th birthday of John Paul II (1920–2005), who was head of the Catholic Church from 1978–2005 and was canonized in 2014, was the occasion for an interview that Bruno Volpe (La Fede Quotidiana) conducted with Meluzzi.Meluzzi who is seen by some as a “colorful bird,” but his thinking always impresses with clarity. The former Freemason, who belonged to the Grand Orient of Italy, converted to Christ and also studies theology. He was ordained a deacon for the Melkite Greek Catholic Church united with Rome. Today he is the Archbishop of the Autocephalous Italian Orthodox Church, which is not recognized by the canonical Orthodox Churches.

Question: What was your impression of John Paul II. If you had to briefly outline him as a specialist ...

Prof. Meluzzi: Well, above all, he was a clear head, a real shepherd and a saint of life and in life.

Question: What impressed you the most?

Prof. Meluzzi: His courage, his hope, his momentum. A pope who also looked like a real man in his physical appearance: male and combative. In every moment of his pontificate, even in old age, frail and sick, he had a strong charisma.

Question: Let's try to explain your idea of courage.

Prof. Meluzzi: Precisely because of his physical appearance, he was more like a prophet of ancient Israel, but at the same time a priest and king.

Question: Every historical epoch has its Pope: What role would you think John Paul II would play in a time as confused as ours and would it be useful?

Prof. Meluzzi: Certainly every historical moment, every epoch has its pope, but I have no doubt that we need a pope like John Paul II today instead of that one who winks at the great powers and global lobbies. Together with Trump and Putin, John Paul II would be one of the three leading figures worldwide.

Question: What is the situation of the Catholic Church, which moment is it experiencing?

Prof. Meluzzi: A bad moment. There is a lack of heads with a clear mind like John Paul II and Joseph Ratzinger. We are experiencing a Catholic Church that has turned its back on its people and especially God and rejects the meaning of the holy and transcendent.

Question: You are a recognized doctor and renowned psychiatrist: is there a risk of panic among the population because of Covid-19?

Prof. Meluzzi: Not so much, but definitely a risk of depression. I wonder: what is the point of the face masks? They are completely useless and harmful. Depression also weakens the immune system.

Question: Many are outraged because some right-wing parties took to the streets on June 2 to protest government measures. [1]

Prof. Meluzzi: Are you surprised? This is the usual double standard by which the political left measures: All are equal, but they are always the same as the others.

Question: The face masks are useless. General Pappalardo, the leader of the Orange West, says the same thing, thus causing outrage. [2]

Prof. Meluzzi: He says nothing fundamentally wrong: listening without arrogance and reservations is imperative and not, as some journalists do, who first provoke and then wonder that they don't want to be seen at events.

On June 2, "Republic Day", a state holiday in Italy, the former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini of the Lega had called for a rally in Rome. The other right parties, Fratelli d'Italia and Forza Italiana, had to follow suit. Despite the corona security measures of the left-wing government and despite the recommendations of the party leaders of the other co-organizing parties, there were so many participants that the rally was carried out at home on social media, so that the media did not mention the number of participants.

[2] Gilet Arancioni ( Orange Vests ) are a newly founded Italian citizens' movement based on the French Gilets jaunes (Yellow Vests ). Their undisputed leader is the former Carabinieri General Antonio Pappalardo. Pappalardo sat 1992–1994 for the small Italian Social Democratic Party (PSDI) in the Italian Parliament. The qualified lawyer still describes himself as a social democrat. Pappalardo was briefly State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance 26 years ago during the government of Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, who later became president. The goals of the movement are still unclear and are directed primarily against the state corona measures and call for help for the people affected by the measures.

Is Pravda Fanning the Flames of Civil Unrest?

Edit: Just a couple of stories showing some dishonest reporting from Pravda. Shocking, I know, Communist news organ trying to whip up violence and make the job of establishing order harder for police officers and National Guard.

In one situation, an officer lightly touches an uncoordinated elderly man who foolishly and illegally approaches a line of riot police, causing him to topped backwards on his head. Meanwhile, some commentators on the WFBO twitter are doxing the officer that was just doing a difficult job. It's a job that might not be as hard as keeping "millions" of Catholics informed in today's Church, but a very hard one nonetheless. This tragic event (the man may die from that injury) is being castigated by the usual Marxists ruling New York who routinely make law enforcement more challenging than it needs to be:
[Pravda] A chilling video captured an elderly protester being shoved to the ground by officers in Buffalo as they moved in to clear the area after the curfew. The man could be seen lying motionless while bleeding from his ear.
Graphic footage shows police officers swarming the area in front of City Hall in Buffalo, New York right after its 8pm curfew went into effect on Thursday. As police advance on protesters, a man with what looks like a smartphone in his hand approaches the officers leading the procession in an attempt to confront them.
It’s unclear from the video what the man tells the policemen (in full riot gear), but the confrontation did not last long before he is forcefully pushed by the officers, losing his balance and falling backwards onto the pavement. A trickle of blood can be seen flowing from his ear after the fall. As police call medics to the scene, the man appears to be unconscious, lying motionless in the same spot.

In another scene Pravda mendaciously claims an officer had clubbed the rioter in the head as he was interfering with a police arrest:

[Pravda] A student accused of attacking a policeman during a protest in Philadelphia has been cleared of wrongdoing, with footage of the incident belying the assault allegations and showing officers unleashing batons on demonstrators.

All charges were dropped against the 21-year-old student, Evan Gorski, on Wednesday after prosecutors viewed online videos of the encounter, according to Gorski’s attorney, R. Emmett Madden.

“The police were lying. We had a protest against police brutality, and then police brutalize my client and try to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit,” Madden said.

It's almost like Pravda wants to inflame rioting by deliberately misrepresenting things as they occur.

Canadian Politican Fired After Comments About Racism

Edit:  Vox Cantoris must have ratted him out to the authorities for not being sufficiently woke on racism. Aren't Canadians getting tired of being subject to these thought crimes and not actually having freedom of speech, the freedom to speak one's mind?

[CTV News] A former Canadian Alliance leader and Conservative MP has resigned from Telus' board of directors and as a strategic adviser to a law firm after comparing racism to his experience of being mocked in school for wearing glasses.

Stockwell Day made the comments during a panel on CBC's "Power & Politics" Tuesday.

Day had said on the show that he knew "for a fact" that most Canadians including his relatives, friends, and opponents are not racist.

Is Holy Skojek Threatening to Dox Me?

Edit: Did professional would-be Catholic grifter, Holy Steve Skojek, just leave a note saying he was going to dox me after I helped break the news that one of his fellow e-grifters, Thug Gordon, got fired from his job for hate speech? I noticed a comment from “Steve” accusing me of being an anonymous coward and then saying he was going to reveal my name for me, presumably on his gay 1Peter5 blog. It would be just like the officious Holy Steve to do that.

I still can’t say I’m terribly sad about Thug Gordon, though. It might be something I could be righteously angry about if Thug Gordon weren’t such an aberrosexual enabler and slandering orifice. Indeed, this looks like a friendly fire incident, to be honest.

If only he hadn’t slandered E. Michael Jones, probably since Gordon is such a deplorable Judaizer, perhaps I’d have some sympathy, but I don’t.

Let's just say that the Diocese did the right thing for the wrong reason. I wouldn't want that skateboarding manchild to teach my children either.  Get a haircut, hippie!

Breaking: Slandering Thug Brother Fired From Job for Hate Speech

Edit: bummer dude.  Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

by: Robert Price Posted: Jun 4, 2020 / 06:19 PM PDT / Updated: Jun 4, 2020 / 07:08 PM PDT

Garces Memorial High School has apparently dismissed a theology teacher after more than 100 students, parents and alumni signed an online petition complaining that he’s been spreading “unacceptable messages of ignorance and hate” on social media and in the classroom.

Garces teacher Timothy Gordon has some strong opinions about Black Lives Matter, about sexual orientation and about street violence, and they seem to have cost him his job.

Americans watch, and in many cases participate in the marches for social justice taking place in their communities, viewing them through the lens of their own experiences and biases. Gordon is no different in that regard. He expresses those views often too — on Twitter, Instagram and in his own regular webcast, Rules for Retrogrades.

Evil Magic Circle Bishops Scrape and Bow Before the Marxist Consensus -- Francis Approves and Sets up Press Op

Hapless Boomers Venerate NewSaint George Floyd and the Site of His
Drug Induced NewMartyrdom Credit: Office of Gov. Walz

Edit: this  pre-planned social engineering media project has brought out hilarious levels of preemptive groveling on the part of the clergy and the laity.  Mexican Supreemacist, Bishop Mark Seitz, Archbishop Hebda, Mark Shea and Dale Ahlquist are going crazy to show their overlords just how much they fear them more than God almighty.

It is interesting to note that Minnesota's cancerous Hebda, despite being Coadjutor for Ex-Cardinal McCarrick in Newark, New Jersey and a personal secretary for Cardinal Donald Wuerl, this magic circle Bishop claims almost complete ignorance of what was going on with respect to predator Cardinals and senior clergy.

Let's also not forget that one of the Principal co-consecrators for his ordination was even the evil Cardinal who allegedly participated in a drug-fueled gay orgy, Cardinal Coccopalomerio.

Birds of a feather.

Speaking of gay, in an effort not to be outdone by the clergy, the grey eminences of the lay apostolic magisterium,  Mark Shea and Dale Ahlquist were present at today's George Floyd memorial in a downtown Minneapolis Church. How Interfaith! (If you didn't think the Chesterton Society was a joke before...)  No doubt this theological Laurel and Hardy team wanted to rush to take a knee, break a lance, so to speak, for this Marxist agenda.  Let us pray that the natives don't detect their insincerity and respond with violence!  Will Mark do irreparable violence to his knees as he kneels for the first time in decades?!  Nature has a way of sorting these kinds of things out!

Finally,  Mexican Supreemacist, Bishop Seitz is being honored by Bergoglio for kneeling, but not to the Eucharist or the Holy Name, which gets you fired, but to show his solidarity to a Marxist agenda, as we said.  This pope approves heartily!

Give us Barabas say the Bishops and the self-appointed lay authorites!  Give us Saint George Floyd!

Denver Newsroom, Jun 2, 2020 / 05:38 pm MT (CNA).- Minnesota clergy, including Archbishop Bernard Hebda of St. Paul-Minneapolis, participated in a silent walking protest Tuesday afternoon to the spot where George Floyd died in police custody last week, stopping to pray at the memorial that had been set up for him.
Hundreds of local leaders from Christian denominations and other religious traditions were present for the prayerful event.

“While many faiths were represented, there was great unity as we prayed for justice and peace,” Archbishop Hebda said in a tweet Tuesday.

And:

[Catholic Spittle] It’s called “taking a knee,” and many professional athletes around the country have made the gesture publicly to protest police brutality. Lately, even police officers showing solidarity have kneeled around the country before those protesting the May 25 killing of George Floyd, who died after being filmed pinned to the ground with a knee to his neck, constrained by a police officer in Minneapolis.

Until June 1, no Catholic bishop had publicly participated in the gesture but that day, Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso, Texas, became the first. Surrounded by priests from his diocese who also kneeled with him and holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign, he put both knees on the grass at El Paso’s Memorial Park, where a protest had taken place a day earlier and closed his eyes.

Was he nervous?

Bergoglian Cardinal Marto Flies Into Rage That Faithful Want Communion on the Tongue

Cardinal Marto on his first visit to Fatima since the re-introduction of public services.

(Lisbon) After the beginning of the pilgrimage season due to the Corona, Masses were not allowed to take place. Pentecost Sunday also saw the faithful return to the churches in Portugal. For Cardinal Antonio Marto, this was an occasion for a hard scolding of the faith and reproach for those who still want Communion on the tongue.

The government had indicated the possibility of an early opening to allow the visit to the sanctuary, which is so important for the country. However, the Church declined, most notably Antonio Marto, Bishop of Leiria-Fatima and vice-chair of the Portuguese Bishops' Conference. Pope Francis had raised him to the rank of cardinal as the first pastor of this diocese. On the 12th / 13th In May, the traditional start of the pilgrimage season in the Shrine of St. Mary in Fatima could not take place . On the 103rd anniversary of the first appearance of Mary on May 13, 1917, the Marian Shrine was ghostly empty. Thus the morning mist enveloped the valley in gloom.

On May 31, Pentecost, public services were allowed again throughout Portugal. Cardinal Marto gave an interview to the Jesuit order on this occasion. In it he defended the directive by the episcopal conference, which he also implemented in his diocese, to allow only [sacrilegious] hand Communion.

Calvinist Hand Communion as a Measure Against Communion on the Tongue

The Portuguese Bishops' Conference received permission from Rome on October 10, 1975  to dispense in the Novus Ordo of the traditional [Catholic] form of receiving Communion. Since then, believers in Portugal have been able [forced] to receive hand Communion. The introduction was made with the express reference:

"This form of Communion must not be imposed on believers because they have to choose how they want to receive the Eucharist."

Communion according to Catholic tradition is still widespread in the Atlantic country. Some Church groups bump into it and see it as a "backwardness" to be rejected. There is more to the form of receiving Communion, including the understanding of the Eucharist and the Church. In 2000, the Liturgical Office of the Bishops' Conference published a misleading note on the third edition of the Editio Typica des Missale Romanum. It corresponds to a progressive reading, but not the historical truth. It asserted that "the custom of communicating on the knees" and "exclusively in the mouth" was "absolutely alien to the Church" of the first nine centuries and could not be based on a divine, apostolic, or early Christian origin.
As recently confirmed by the well-known liturgist Don Nicola Bux, a personal friend of Benedict XVI, the exact opposite is true. Oral Communion goes back directly to the Last Supper and corresponds to the form in which Jesus Christ himself gave Communion to the apostles.

It is no coincidence that in 2000 the staff member of the Liturgical Office of the Portuguese Bishops' Conference described the new way of receiving Communion as a "real paradigm" that the Second Vatican Council wanted to "promote" through the liturgical reform. According to the words of John XXIII, the author said that the liturgy had to "return to the simple and very deep forms of the Church of the Apostles and Martyrs" and to take them up.

The unnamed author, who was identified as "an employee of the National Liturgical Service," spread the usual progressive narrative, which, however, which corresponds to the formation of legends in key points. This applies to the historical reference, the claim that hand Communion was the original form of receiving Communion of “the apostles and martyrs” and the liturgical reform was an implementation of the Second Vatican Council. In contrast, the statement of a "real paradigm" hits the mark.

"Jesus Didn't Say: Open Your Mouth"

Cardinal Marto follows this line when he is outraged in the interview that believers insist Communion on the tongue. He dismissed this attitude with the words:

“Jesus said, 'Take and eat'. He didn't say 'open your mouth'. ”

The interview was given by the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima on May 29 to the Ponto de Viragem podcast of the Jesuit Order. The cardinal's outrage was sparked by a petition sent by 500 Portuguese priests and faithful to the Episcopal Conference and the Holy See. In it, they request that the ban on Communion on the tongue be lifted. The compulsory hand Communion "seriously undermines the norms of the Catholic Church and the reverence for the Blessed Sacrament," the petition states. The signatories refer to epidemics in the 20th century and H1N1 in 2009/2010, some of which were many times more dramatic and deadly, but which in no way led to a change in the form of receiving Communion. In the course of the H1N1 epidemic, the so-called "swine flu", the responsible Roman Congregation confirmed on several inquiries from different parts of the world that oral Communion should not be denied to any believer.
Critics therefore see the ban on oral Communion of bishops' conferences worldwide as a concerted action that is exploiting the corona virus as an excuse to eliminate the actual form of receiving Communion and making the form of hand Communion, which has only been tolerated since 1969, compulsory.

Accordingly, the criticism of the Portuguese signatories is directed against the Corona measures of the bishops, which are criticized not only in Portugal as disproportionate and excessive.

Cardinal Marto downplayed the relevance of the petition in the interview. The number of signatories is "not very significant". At the same time, he expressed regret that there are so many believers who "question the faith of the bishops".
