Vatican City / Geneva (kath.net/KAP) The Vatican has confirmed the revocation of Catholic identity for psychiatric clinics of the Belgian order "Broeders van Liefde" (Brothers of Charity). As became known weeks ago, they have not been able to call themselves "Catholic" since the end of March. In a letter published on Tuesday, the Roman Congregation of the Faith justified this step.

After numerous contacts and meetings, one unfortunately had to take note that there was no willingness in the clinics connected to the order to accept the Catholic teaching. Active euthanasia remains inadmissible even in extreme cases, according to the letter signed by Cardinal Luis Ladaria. Human life maintain its dignity under all circumstances. It is all the more "perverse" when doctors and relatives practice active euthanasia out of false pity. It was therefore decided "after a long and painful journey" to no longer consider the clinics concerned as Catholic.

The chairman of the board of the Association of the Brothers of Charity, Raf de Rycke, had already reacted calmly to the withdrawal in May. They have no "consequences in civil law," he said at the time to the Flemish newspaper "De Standaard".

Belgium has allowed active euthanasia since 2002

The dispute as to whether a psychiatric clinic that does not rule out the use of active euthanasia can still call itself Catholic dates back to 2017. At that time, the Belgian organization "Broeders van Liefde" announced that it would no longer rule out active assisted suicide for the mentally ill in its clinics. In Belgium, active euthanasia has been legal under certain conditions since 2002, including for the mentally ill.

The "Broeders van Liefde" run twelve psychiatric clinics in Belgium as well as dozens of schools, crèches and orthopedic centers. According to its own statements, the organization has a total of 14,000 employees nationwide. The religious order is legally, closely linked to the organization.

The specialty of the Order of Brothers of Charity, founded in Ghent in 1807, is the care of the mentally ill. The community, known as "Broeders van Liefde" in Belgium, has around 600 members worldwide and is active in around 30 countries.

RIP Father Georg Ratzinger

Pope Benedict XVI's brother  passed away in Regensburg this morning.

 Regensburg (kath.net) cathedral bandmaster Georg Ratzinger, the brother of Pope Benedict XVI.  passed away in Regensburg this morning.  The former director of the world-famous Regensburg Cathedral Sparrows was 96 years old.  The Pope Emeritus had recently visited him.  Georg Ratzinger was born on January 15, 1924, when he was 11 he played the church organ.  After joining in 1935, he entered the small seminary in Traunstein.  There he received his first professional instrumental lessons.  In 1946 he entered the seminary of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising together with his younger brother Joseph and studied church music.  After ordination in 1951, he became choir director in Traunstein and later in 1964 cathedral conductor of the Cathedral Sparrows.

Cardinal Schönborn Calls the Police on Pensioner Who Refuses to Wear Mask -- "This is Like Communism"

A handicapped pensioner was taken away by the police in St. Stephen's Cathedral on May 17 - the Archdiocese of Vienna did not comment on the incident

Vienna (kath.net) There was an incident in the Archdiocese of Vienna in May in view of the Corona epidemic, which has now become known in the media via "" initiative-corona.info According to the report, in the largely empty cathedral and at a great distance from others, the woman had refused to wear a Covid mask, "because I want to pray to my Heavenly Father without a mask, there is a right to freedom of religion." When a cathedral supervisor called the police, the police led her out of the church. Gisela R. comments: “Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Church, what is the police doing here, it is like Communism!” 

The woman was then taken away by the police via Stephansplatz and taken into custody. According to the report, the police are considering her being admitted to the psychiatric ward, and it is only after almost 4 hours of police custody that the official doctor finally released her. She later received a criminal fine of EUR 120 for “disturbing the religious peace”. Gisela R. is appealing "because she is not a dog who needs a mask". and because for medical reasons she was not allowed to wear a mask after a pulmonary embolism. A few days later, three policemen visited her at home to question her again. She was quoted and later questioned at the police station. “I am a free citizen who insists on her human rights and does not have to follow dictatorial laws. Politics overrides the law here, ” says Gisela R. “But there are no longer any laws, now Corona is the law.”

Archbishop Negri "A Litany of Loreto for Migrants? Political Correctness."

Archbishop Luigi Negri: "I would not have inserted the appeal to migrants into the Lauretian Litany."

(Rome) Archbishop Luigi Negri is a top shepherd of firm faith and clear thoughts and words. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of San Marino-Montefeltro and then archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio. No bishop was more opposed to the choice of Pope Francis and he was directly intrigued against. Now he commented on Mary's new appeal as "Helping the Migrants".

Now Archbishop Luigi gave an interview on another current, albeit very different, question. The archbishop, the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was adapted next to the presbytery for the celebration in the Immemorial Roman Rite in his diocesan church, which his successor again reversed it, commented on the changes in the Litany of Loreto that Pope Francis last made on June 20th. 

Monsignor Negri was able to hold office until he was 75. But then he was retired by Francis despite good health and like Cardinal Caffarra in nearby Bologna he was replaced by a " street priest" whose self and understanding of the Church could not be more different. The archbishop is one of the high-ranking prelates who participated in Veritas liberabit vos in early May. In it, they warned of forces that are using the Corona virus as an excuse to establish a new world order. The mainstream media rolled over it with the steamroller. 

The ARD Tagesschau knew what it was all about: "Bishops spread conspiracy theories". 

The Domradio put one better and said: "With conspiracy against the Pope". The fashion in public discussion is new, but efficient and above all one-sided: Whoever does not want to hear certain voices and opinions talks about the "conspiracy theory". After the press flattened everything, the topic was hushed up.

Francis recently introduced three new invocations of the Virgin Mary: Mater misericordiae (Mother of Mercy), Mater spei (Mother of Hope) and Solacium migrantium (consolation of migrants). The first two appeals come from the first millennium, but the third is a new creation with a hint of daily politics. It is known that Pope Francis sees unrestricted migration as his special concern and is its first apologist. Archbishop Negri, on the other hand, disagrees in an interview with La Fede quotidiana: “It is difficult for the people of God to understand why. I wouldn't have done it."

Question: Excellency, are you convinced by this novelty?

Archbishop Luigi Negri: I'm not surprised about it, but I prefer to go to the roots, to the why. I think that motivation is based on a worldly way of thinking that is also present in the Church, which is connected with the things of the world and not with those of heaven, with the immanent and not with the transcendent. Furthermore, and I affirm this without any polemics, the Church has always lived its millennial tradition. Why question everything with constant changes and additions?

Question: Most of the incoming migrants are Muslims. Do you think it makes sense to call Maria for them?

Archbishop Luigi Negri: Mary is loved from a certain point of view by Catholics and Muslims who respect her. I'm not overly concerned about this. There is an ecumenism that unites Catholics and Muslims in the name of Mary.

Question: What is the essential?

Archbishop Luigi Negri: That we should not forget who Mary is to us. It is not a matter of the world, but a clear statement that God loves us through her. Maria never leaves us, that is our certainty, and she lets us as mother accept the most difficult things and situations. A person who is in daily contact with Maria will never be disappointed.

Question: Would you have introduced this invocation?

Archbishop Luigi Negri: No, I wouldn't have. They could have done without it because it complicates things, but of course it's not a heretical thing. Heresy allegations must be handled with care.

Question: What does this addition call for?

Archbishop Luigi Negri: Probably to employ a worldly key to support the logic of political correctness.

Ohio representative Nino Vitale demonstrates how masks are unsafe.  How will his overlords silence him now? So far, they've tried to say he's an anti-semite and a racist.

Black Officer Who Detained George Floyd Pleads Self-Defense

[BET] J. Alexander Keung was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting murder and manslaughter in the May 25 killing of George Floyd. In court docs filed Monday, June 29, it was revealed that the former police officer will argue self-defense.

According to NBC News, Keung, 26, will plead not guilty and “will argue he acted in self-defense and used reasonable, authorized force to detain Floyd.”

 It’s not clear how his attorney will argue or prove self-defense nor how the other three officers will plead. Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill hasn’t decided if the four officers will be tried jointly or separately.

Israel Withdraws Protestant Broadcaster's License Over Proselytism

(Tel Aviv) The Christian television station is called Shelanu TV and, according to its own statements, was “wonderfully” granted a license to broadcast its program in Israel via cable. Shelanu TV started broadcasting on April 29, 2020, but the problems began after only a few days.

Shelanu TV produces its program in Hebrew. However, the crux of the matter from the very first broadcast days was that the television channel, according to the accusation, wanted to convert the Jews to Christianity.The television station belongs to the American company God TV and is Protestant and pro-Israeli. Nevertheless, there were complaints in the past two months, then protests against the broadcaster. It was accused of proselytism.

The discomfort became a political scandal when the station's director, Ward Simpson, emphasized the "importance" that viewers should convert to Christ.

The Israeli broadcasting agency announced to Shelanu TV on June 25 that the broadcasting license had been withdrawn. The drastic measure was justified by the fact that the broadcaster addressed primarily the Jews and not the Christians of Israel.

God TV claims to reach 300 million viewers worldwide by sharing the Gospel in numerous countries on every continent.

Proselytism is not fundamentally prohibited in Israel, at least not entirely. Officially, the law only provides for a ban on minors unless the parents have given their consent.

Shelanu TV describes the cancellation of its license as "unprecedented" and complains of "overt religious discrimination". After the media had already reported on the move by the Israeli authorities on June 28, it was confirmed by the broadcaster yesterday.

New "Conservative" Platform Bans America First Group

[National File] Parler, which describes itself as a “free speech social network,” has reportedly began banning America First conservatives and Democrats, despite their supposed anti-censorship mission statement. 

Founded in 2018, Parler bills itself as a “non-biased, free speech driven entity,” with their goal being to “offer the world a platform that protects user’s rights, supports publishers and builds online communities”:

Parler aims to empower users to control their social experience. Users can be responsible to engage content as they see fit. We are not regulators. We are not governors. We are a community. Parler accepts your right to express your thoughts, opinions and ideals online. Just like in society, Parler interactions are subject to guidelines; and when you respect them, you are free to participate wholly.

In an interview on Thursday, Parler’s founder, John Matze Jr, said that Parler is “a community town square, an open town square, with no censorship,” and that “if you can say it on the street of New York, you can say it on Parler.” Matze also called for liberals to join the platform, offering any liberal commentator with over 50,000 followers $20,000 to set up a Parler account.

Based Detroit Police Chief Backs His Men

11:14 AM PT -- Detroit Police Chief James Craig just defended the officers involved in Thursday night’s incident saying they "did the right thing" after a crowd of about 25-30 people went from agitators to violent. He did not ID the officers involved.

Craig said the officers heard a loud bang — after the rear window was smashed — and “in their mind, they believed they could be shot at.” Craig also said the agitators yelled obscenities at them before some hopped on the hood of the car.

Then there's this ... Craig said, “There was information that officers reported several of the protesters were armed with hammers.” Craig couldn’t point out how many protesters were allegedly armed with hammers.

Evil Ohio Bishop “Sidelines” Faithful Priest for Being “Divisive”

Edit: who uses “divisive” anyway? Is there a non-gay way to use the word?  I’ve never heard it uttered by anyone who wasn’t some kind of compromised individual. I’ve heard Arlen Specter say it, and lots of obviously aberrosexual clergy, or people like Steve Skojek.  What does the word mean? Cambridge University Dictionary says:

used to describe something that causes great and sometimes unfriendly disagreement within a group of people

Well, Jesus did that. What’s so wrong about that?  Ever get a feeling that these Bishops would have Christ murdered in a back alley someplace if they could?

His favorite “Saint” is Communist Archbishop Romero, so that actually says a lot.

Bishop Robert J. Brennan’s diocesan statement is as follows:

The Catholic Church proposes a beautiful, life-giving and liberating vision to the world based on the truths about the human person, human sexuality, marriage and the family. We proclaim with one breath the Splendor of Truth and the Joy of the Gospel. The fundamental truth is that every human person is created in the image and likeness of God and as such, must be treated with dignity and respect. While not everyone shares the Church’s vision, I hope we can all show that respect.

While Father Klee has been permitted to live in the rectory at St. John the Baptist, he is not assigned to the Parish of St. John the Baptist nor to the Parish of the Sacred Heart. He does not represent either of these parishes nor the diocese. Father Klee has shown a pattern of making communications to a broad audience on a variety of contemporary issues which are frankly dirvisive. While these communications seemingly present Catholic moral teaching, they are often offensive and disrespectful to the human dignity of persons.

Father Klee has been repeatedly warned about making these divisive communications and ordered to cease doing so. Further steps are being considered at this time.

There’s no word as to why Father Klee was “sidelined”, but maybe Father Klee’s Catholic witness during Gay Pride Month was too much for Brennan?

I write you in these closing days of the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for the grace to truly respond to His lament so evident in our world today, namely, that the greatest outpouring of love on Good Friday goes largely ignored if not repudiated. Hence, let us make our lives an Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart even after June!

I really shouldn’t disclose details [of my current situation], although a wise and holy pastor counseled me shortly after my priestly ordination, ‘If you don’t fill in the blanks, the people will.’ Suffice it to say, please pray and make sacrifices for the following two intentions in addition to praying that I will be a truly holy priest – that’s all I want.  

1) For a tremendous outpouring of graces upon the spiritual leadership of the Church, specifically upon bishops and priests, that they be empowered with the cardinal virtue of fortitude. That they implore the intercession of the martyrs lest they go from being potential victims of satan’s attacks to being actual instigators and accomplices like the Pharisees in Our Lord’s day. Please pray that they be freed from a subtle resignation to despair – specifically of falling into discouragement by believing the authentic Gospel of Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Faith are not the answer, but atheistic socialism is. 

 2) For men and women – and, increasingly, boys and girls as well – deluded by the false promises of the homosexualist agenda, and especially those in the active homosexual lifestyle, that they be given the grace to break free from the devil’s grasp. We pray they acquire the theological virtue of hope, becoming inspired to believe they can be freed from the sinful enslavement the practice of sodomy entails. We pray that many come to understand that the sacraments of the Eucharist and Confession are indispensable for receiving the necessary graces to resist grave sin.

Archbishop Viganò Calls Out The Deception of Vatican II -- Calls for the Hierarchy to Do Penance For the Outrages Committed in Its Name

Edit: Phil Lawler has been almost irrelevant for decades because he's been hostile to traditionalism, but here he is humbly taking in everything Archbishop Viganò is saying. He's been changing ever slowly over the years. What do his donors think of this? It's interesting at this point that so far, Viganò hasn't addressed Jewish connivance and interference at the Council, or that the Church has lost every major cultural battle since.

Lawler: Second, what is the solution? Bishop Schneider proposes that a future Pontiff must repudiate errors; Archbishop Viganò finds that inadequate. But then how can the errors be corrected, in a way that maintains the authority of the teaching magisterium?

Archbishop Vigano: The solution, in my opinion, lies above all in an act of humility that all of us, beginning with the Hierarchy and the Pope, must carry out: recognizing the infiltration of the enemy into the heart of the Church, the systematic occupation of key posts in the Roman Curia, seminaries, and ecclesiastical schools, the conspiracy of a group of rebels—including, in the front line, the deviated Society of Jesus—which has succeeded in giving the appearance of legitimacy and legality to a subversive and revolutionary act. We should also recognize the inadequacy of the response of the good, the naivety of many, the fearfulness of others, and the interests of those who have benefited thanks to that conspiracy. After his triple denial of Christ in the courtyard of the high priest, Peter “flevit amare,” he wept bitterly. Tradition tells us that the Prince of the Apostles had two furrows on his cheeks for the rest of his days, as a result of the tears which he copiously shed, repenting of his betrayal. It will be for one of his Successors, the Vicar of Christ, in the fullness of his apostolic power, to rejoin the thread of Tradition there where it was cut off. This will not be a defeat but an act of truth, humility, and courage. The authority and infallibility of the Successor of the Prince of the Apostles will emerge intact and reconfirmed. In fact, they were not deliberately called into question at Vatican II, but ironically they would be on a future day in which a Pontiff would correct the errors that that Council permitted, playing jests with the equivocation of an authority it officially denied having but that the faithful were surreptitiously allowed to understand that it did have by the entire Hierarchy, beginning right with the Popes of the Council.

I wish to recall that for some people what is expressed above may sound excessive, because it would seem to call into question the authority of the Church and of the Roman Pontiffs. And yet, no scruple impeded the violation of Saint Pius V’s Bull Quo primum tempore, abolishing the entire Roman Liturgy from one day to the next, the venerable millenary treasure of the doctrine and spirituality of the traditional Mass, the immense patrimony of Gregorian chant and sacred music, the beauty of the rites and sacred vestments, disfiguring architectural harmony even in the most distinguished basilicas, removing balustrades, monumental altars, and tabernacles: everything was sacrificed on the conciliar renewal’s altar of coram populo, with the aggravating circumstance of having done it only because that Liturgy was admirably Catholic and irreconcilable with the spirit of Vatican II.

The Church is a divine institution, and everything in her ought to start with God and return to Him. What is at stake is not the prestige of a ruling class, nor the image of a company or a party: what we are dealing with here is the glory of the Majesty of God, of not nullifying the Passion of Our Lord on the Cross, of the sufferings of His Most Holy Mother, of the blood of the Martyrs, of the testimony of the Saints, of the eternal salvation of souls. If out of pride or unfortunate obstinacy we do not know how to recognize the error and deception into which we have fallen, we will have to give an account to God, who is as merciful with his people when they repent as he is implacable in justice when they follow Lucifer in his non serviam.
