"Homo-App" in Seminary? Archbishop Takes Drastic Measures

Saint Patrick's College in Maynooth
Edit: funny how one of the most anti-Roman prelates in the Church during Pope Benedict's reign now wants to send his seminarians to Rome.

(Dublin) The Archdiocese of Dublin confirmed Wednesday that Archbishop Diarmuid Martin "temporarily" has prohibited the admission of new students in the largest seminary in Ireland. Reason for the hiring freeze is that the archbishop  suspects that a "gay culture" has taken at the seminary. The hiring freeze is only a measure to combat the homosexualization of the seminary.
On Tuesday Archbishop Martin told the state broadcaster RTE that he was "uncomfortable"  because of anonymous charges against a significant number of seminarians of St. Patrick College of Maynooth, which were written and published on the Internet.
As the archbishop affirmed, claiming the accusations that the seminary a "homosexual milieu" exists and students using a "homo-app" called "Grindr", says the Archbishop, to intiate "Homo-dating".
The archbishop takes the allegations seriously and wants to make a clean sweep. "The allegations are serious," he told the press on Tuesday, "even more serious, however, would be if they correspond to the facts." This is what he wants and he'll clarify.
"The use of such apps would not only be inappropriate for someone who is preparing to become a celibate priest, but also because such an app promotes sexual promiscuity, which in no way corresponds to a mature attitude that you expect in future priests," said Archbishop Martin.
The admission year 2016, according to  the Archbishop's decision, will not to include studying at  Maynooth, but at the Pontifical Irish College in Rome. The measure will stay active until the allegations in Maynooth have been clarified. Similar studies had already begun, says the Archbishop. But there was no immediate charge because at the moment there is only anonymous material that will only be checked for authenticity.
The Saint Patrick's College Maynooth, about 25 kilometers from Dublin, was founded in 1795 and became the largest seminary of the island with up to 500 seminarians. Since the 60s the figures have been declining due to the ongoing crisis of vocations.
"Anonymous accusations are poison," said the archbishop, so he preferred to "move my students to study in another place." He does not recommend that  other bishops follow his example, but he will inform them.
Simultaneously with the announcement of the measures the archbishop expressed hopes that will prove the allegations to be inaccurate. "We will clarify." At the same time he deplored excessive "conveniences", the seminarians would have enjoyed in Maynooth, and demanded that the conference make corresponding "changes".
Homosexuals may not be ordained priests in the Catholic Church or not even be included in a seminary, as Pope Benedict XVI. with the Instruction on criteria for vocational discernment of persons with homosexual tendencies in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders. The measure corresponds to the theological understanding of the sacramental priesthood and the natural law with respect to men and women. The instruction was also part of the papal action against the [so-called] pedophilia scandal, since the vast majority of the clergy who have been guilty of the sexual abuse of minors had aberrosexual tendencies. Thus, the instruction with the consecration and recruiting prohibition also form a protective barrier against an attempt by the "homo lobby" in the Church, about which  Pope Francis spoke,  attempting to bring about by means of the general social climate in the Church, a position change when it comes to homosexuality.

The Treason of the Clerics -- Ireland and the Vote on "Gay Marriage"

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, a Traitorous Old Liberal Bishop
For a Long While
(Dublin) Looking for an explanation of how a Catholic people like the Irish could vote with 62.1 percent for the legalization of "gay marriage", some try to push all the blame on the illegitimacy of the government. Others prefer  to cheer in chorus, since the voices of "progressive Catholics" emphasized the crucial vote. However, even the term "progressive Catholic" is a contradiction in terms, because either one is truly Catholic, that is to say Catholics without any adulterations, or you are not really Catholic, but then it is not about Catholics.
In reality, there is a third factor that was decisive for the serious vote, in addition to the two mentioned: the betrayal of the clergy.

"Openings" by Certain Shepherds to the Homo Lobby

There is no doubt that the so-called "openings" by certain pastors have toward the gay lobby generated confusion among the faithful and influenced the voting behavior at the polls.
If the current mainstream sings its "homosexual song", there are also among the righteous one, who considering   the one-sided advertising and the path of least resistance are then described as "modern" and "contemporary." Thus the opposing voices  could  hardly have  been heard among the opinion-forming media in Ireland, had the voice of the bishops had a greater weight.
The press agency Médias Press release accused the Irish episcopate of "weakness and inability", of building a viable line of defense against the homosexual march on the island of Saint Patrick. Some bishops were quite successful. However, the veering of the others offered opponents the tactical opportunity to convey an image of disunity and hush up the timid,  to award the favorable voices visibility and to silence the others.

Dublin's Archbishop and Squaring the Circle

So the statements of some Irish prelates are, to say the least, problematic before the referendum. These prelates include Dublin's Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, who tried to square the circle. He spoke of a coexistence of the "ethics of equality," and recognizing the homosexual "affective relations", and the unique nature of a relationship between a man and a woman.
From a Mea culpa- driven complex, he added apologetically: "I am aware that the severity with which  gays and lesbians  have been treated in the past in the Irish Church, in some cases are still treated today, so that makes it difficult for LGBT Persons  hard to accept the sincerity of what I am proposing. "
In fact, the archbishop remained faithful. After the announcement of the voting results, he directed attention to the so-called power of the factual. We must now "face facts," which can "not deny the obvious"  and must recognize a "social" and "cultural revolution" in the result. These words were picked up by the media with great satisfaction.

Bishop McKewon: Catholics Should Make a  "Mature" Decision, Whether Yes or No

Bishop Donal McKewon of Derry assisted the archbishop at once in this position. Before the ballot itself McKewon had prompted the faithful to make a "mature" decision, regardless of whether they would vote yes or no. If that was  worth as much as the other and ultimately indifferent to any decision for Catholics. Even more: "I do not want that anyone would vote out  of bad, that is, sectarian and inappropriate reasons or because of intimidation against."  What  it did was gave the impression as if it were next to impossible to vote solely against the legalization of "gay marriage", because that's the only right decision.
Then  Bishop McKewon, conversely added his statement: "I have no doubt that there are many Church-abiding people who are for a yes. I will not say they are wrong. " A statement, which is tantamount to a capitulation, and even more so a resignation from his duties as a bishop when he has to call attention to the doctrine of the Church and defend it.
It irritated and unsettled not a few believers that these sorts of politically correct prelates are not reprimanded for their unfortunate statements (formulating it as quite harmless), but can act completely undisturbed or are even encouraged in their attitude.

Irish Constitution as Washed Away

Of course, for the vote in Ireland was not only just the result of the "Treason of the Clerics." Even the constitution of the island nation was hit hard by this stab. In the Irish Constitution it states verbatim:

"In the Name of the Most Holy Trinity, from Whom is all authority and to Whom, as our final end, all actions both of men and States must be referred, We, the people of Éire, Humbly acknowledging all our obligations to our Divine Lord, Jesus Christ, Who sustained our fathers through centuries of trial, Gratefully remembering their heroic and unremitting struggle to regain the rightful independence of our Nation, And seeking to promote the common good, with due observance of Prudence, Justice and Charity, so that the dignity and freedom of the individual may be assured, true social order attained, the unity of our country restored, and concord established with other nations, Do hereby adopt, enact, and give to ourselves this Constitution. ... "
Everything seems washed away by the outcome of the referendum. Ireland and the Irish people is now in the  rather sad list of countries and peoples, who require a new evangelization.

Liberal Irish Archbishop Continues His Quest for Church "Reform"

Edit: When he's not campaigning for  global warming hysteria, he's campaigning for moral panic, and the severing of the Irish Church from Rome.

He still doesn't have a Cardinal's hat, either.
After going to Wiki, there were all kinds of questionable statements from this man.   One of the more indicative points of view he suffers, is that he ignores that eighty percent of the cases of clerical abuse in the Catholic Church were homosexual in nature. The Archbishop basically covers his politically correct bases, from the delusional:

In 2005 Archbishop Martin, said that being gay should not prevent a man becoming a Catholic priest. "You don't write off a candidate for the priesthood simply because he is a gay man,
And the patently false:

But, he noted, "you cannot identify homosexuality with paedophilia". He said that paedophilia is "not the result of homosexuality, nor is it a result of celibacy"[2][Source

On Civil  Unions:

" He also said that while the Catholic Church favoured marriage, "it is not against other forms of intimacy" [Source]".

He is basically in the same boat as Cardinal Schönborn, "helping" with the priest shortage by promoting lay involvement, soft-peddling homosexuality if not pedaling for it.

But we warned two years ago that this Archbishop's crocodile tears were about another agenda.  Actually, we're pretty certain it has to do with an eventual Schism of the Irish Church, abetted by Enda Kenny and an assault on the Altar.

We won't deny that there's a cabal in the Vatican and other parts of the Church as he suggests, but it is more than obvious that Archbishop Kenny has more interest in forming a more independent, lay run, state sponsored establishment than he has in representing the truths of the Catholic Faith itself.  He'll continue to pretend to be the good guy, and the anti-Catholic press will continue to support him.

Sunday September 04 2011

The Archbishop of Dublin Dr Diarmuid Martin has admitted that "a cabal" protecting clerical sex abusers may be operating at the highest levels in the Catholic Church.
Dr Martin said: "There may be a cabal in Cloyne. They may have friends in other parts of the Irish Church. They may have friends in Irish society. There may be friends in the Vatican."
Asked yesterday who was preventing the protection of children, he said: "The numbers that are involved in this are few. The damage that these people cause is horrendous. It's for all of us to see where they are, but in the long term I have to take the responsibility that in Dublin there are not cabals who reject our child protection

Irish Minister Wants to Strip Catholic Church of 50% of Its Schools

Editor: abuse-hoax = Catholic Church out of education... just like in Germany in the 30s when Catholics were bombarded with rare occasions of sex abuse by the National Socialist hate-media.

Catholic Church said to be ‘shocked’ by Education Minister’s plan

EDUCATION MINISTER RUAIRÍ Quinn’s decision to transfer more than 1,500 church schools to other patrons by next January has ‘shocked’ the Catholic Church.

The Irish Independent reports today ( that church leaders have argued that his start date was too ambitious and that though it welcomed the forum, sources said the church had first raised the issue of an over supply of catholic schools and that they were finalising their own consultation on the issue.

The Catholic Schools Partnership is to publish a position paper next week and the results of its consultation process will be analysed by representatives from all dioceses at four regional assemblies in June of this year.

Apparently, Archibshop Martin is very exited about handing over the Catholic Schools to the Godless materialists who run Ireland's government.
