The Preferential Option for Sodomy

[Outreach] One of the major documents of the Second Vatican Council includes this stirring claim that has become a central norm of Catholic social teaching:

With respect to the fundamental rights of the person, every type of discrimination, whether social or cultural, whether based on race, sex, color, social condition, language, or religion, is to be overcome or eradicated as contrary to God’s intent. (“Gaudium et Spes,” 29)

These words committed the Catholic Church to opposing all unjust discrimination. They come from the pivotal 1965 document “Gaudium et Spes,” otherwise known as the “Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World.” At the end of a momentous, four-year-long council, the first in nearly 100 years, the assembled bishops of the world committed the Roman Catholic Church to pursuing an agenda of extending human rights to all people.

Torah Scholar Attempts ShapeShift to Escape Justice in Scots Courts

CNN

 —

A Scottish court ruled Wednesday that a rape suspect who has been accused of faking his own death can be extradited to the US to face charges, according to UK news agency PA Media.

Nicholas Rossi, 35, currently faces a string of accusations in separate US states.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Norman McFadyen told Edinburgh Sheriff Court that Rossi’s extradition “would be compatible with the Convention rights within the meaning of the Human Rights Act 1998,” PA Media reported

Gonzalo Lira Has Been Kidnapped by GPU

Edit: after being incarcerated since May 1st and undergoing torture at the hands of prison inmates instigated by the guards, Gonzalo Lira made a break for freedom to Hungary and was captured. As reported by Constantin von Hoffmeister at Arktos

The media in the US has been anything but helpful, which is hardly surprising since the wicked witch Victoria Nuland, the Cokehead of Kiev and other shadowy entities wouldn’t mind if he disappeared for good.

It’s a little disappointing because it appeared the Ukrainian GPU had left a door open for him to escape as he raced hundreds of miles in a motorcycle toward the Hungarian border.

Now, it appears Gonzalo is in their claws again.

In a bizarre video, an American trans spokesman for the Ukrainian government, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, announced the capture of essayist and vlogger Gonzalo Lira by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) today:

“Extremists” Attack Melkite Monastery in Haifa

Edit: a fence was built to keep the Jews out. This is merely a more frank manifestation of Jewish hostility to Catholicism.

Israeli hostility to the Christian population of Palestine is a longstanding problem which has driven many to find refuge away from the places they’ve lived for centuries.

Haifa, Israel, Jul 31, 2023 / 15:40 pm

[Catholic News Agency] Extremist [sic]  Israeli groups have on several occasions in recent weeks attempted to storm the Melkite Catholic Church and Monastery of  St. Elias in the northern port city of Haifa, Israel, prompting Christians to take measures to protect the holy site.

After several attempts last week, intruders managed to infiltrate the outer courtyard of the monastery and disrupt the prayer session taking place, causing fear and anger among the Christian community.

In an effort by the church to deter any future attacks, work began today to install an iron fence around the monastery. The monastery was founded by the Carmelites, who have been practicing their faith from Mt. Carmel in Haifa since the 12th century, when hermits began to gather in a caves in imitation of the prophet Elijah. Tradition says that the prophet’s cave is located underneath the altar of the church.

Is Cardinal Zuppi Going From Washington to Peking?

Pope Francis with Cardinal Zuppi, whose next destination is said to be China
.

(Beijing) Since 1980, only two cardinals -- one French and one American -- have visited Beijing more than once.  Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, the papal special envoy for the Ukraine conflict, would be the third since 1951 when the then Apostolic Nuncio Msgr Antonio Riberi was expelled by the Communist rulers.

For several days, the Holy See has been promoting media expectations in various ways that the papal special envoy, after his visits to Kiev, Moscow and Washington, could also visit China in the near future.  There is talk of him traveling to Beijing as early as mid-August, immediately after World Youth Day in Portugal.

Zuppi's four travel destinations show the conflicting parties in the Ukraine war and at the same time the global balance of power.

Cardinal Zuppi would be the first official senior Vatican official to visit Beijing since Cardinal Roger Etchegaray.  He would even arrive with the rank of papal special envoy and, it is said, with a personal letter from Pope Francis to China's head of state and party leader Xi Jinping.

After Cardinal Etchegaray, however, another wearer of the purple traveled to China.  This is a very opaque chapter.  In 2016, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick was in the Communist "Middle Kingdom".  The mission with which the then extremely powerful US cardinal set foot in China is still unclear to this day.  He had even traveled to Beijing several times to cultivate confidential contacts with high-ranking Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials.

McCarrick, who sat at the center of Western power as Archbishop of Washington until 2010, was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI., had been sanctioned for allegations of abuse, which were not yet known in detail at the time.  However, these were lifted by Pope Francis in 2013.  Under the Argentine Pope, McCarrick even rose to become the most influential US cardinal, influencing a whole series of bishop appointments in the USA, appointments of Americans to Rome and promotions of those in Rome.  McCarrick fell out of favor in 2018 when The New York Times exposed his double life as a homosexual pederast.  The reasons why this disclosure came about and why exactly at that point in time are still unclear.

In any case, McCarrick lost his cardinal dignity and was then also laicized.  However, his numerous homo-progressive protégés are still in office and continue to be promoted and promoted by Pope Francis to the best of their ability.

His China contacts only became known relatively late.  Since there is no official information on this, one can only speculate about the purpose, content and scope of these relationships.  They are commonly associated with the secret agreement signed between the Holy See and the People's Republic of China on September 22, 2018 and renewed in 2020 and 2022.  According to this interpretation, McCarrick, who had already fallen at the time of signing, had prepared the agreement.  However, observers only agree that the US cardinal's trips to China can only have taken place with papal approval.

Since it is a secret agreement, its contents have not been made public to this day.  What is known, however, is that the procedure for appointing bishops is regulated in it.  However, there is a problem with the implementation.  Beijing only adheres to this to a limited extent, but the Holy See nods benevolently, as it did recently in connection with the appointment of the new bishop of Shanghai.

The question is how high Francis' pain threshold is and why he accepts that the Communist rulers simply ignored him in several cases despite the agreement.  Some observers therefore assume that Francis is not primarily concerned with the appointment of bishops, but with setting the geopolitical course.

After the Communists had won the Chinese civil war in 1949 and seized power in the country, they broke off diplomatic relations with the Holy See in 1951.  The then Apostolic Nuncio Msgr. Antonio Riberi was expelled from the country.  Since then there have been no official diplomatic relations between the two subjects of international law.  Cardinal Etchegaray was the first Vatican representative to return to China in 1980.  At that time, the newly elected Pope John Paul II tried to resume relations with Beijing.  He cherished the desire to be the first pope to visit Russia, but also China.  Both were denied to him and so far also to his successors.

In order not to block the way to Beijing, all the popes of the past decades turned down invitations to Taiwan, the former Chinese province (Formosa) to which the defeated national Chinese forces withdrew and where they set up their own state with US support.  Both parts of China claim to represent the whole of China.

In 1983, John Paul II wrote a long letter to the then Chinese ruler Deng Xiaoping, which he never answered.

His successor Benedict XVI tried no less, around China and the free exercise of religion for the Catholic Church.  He wrote a letter to China's Catholics and in 2008 published a prayer to Our Lady of Sheshan, China's most important Marian shrine, which is very popular and frequently prayed among Chinese Catholics.  He also had the later Cardinal Fernando Filoni, when he was Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, strengthening contacts with Hong Kong.  This former British crown colony was handed back to China in the late 1990s on the promise of maintaining democratic conditions and extensive self-government.  Cardinal Filoni set up a so-called study mission for relations with China in Hong Kong, which acted as a kind of diplomatic representation.  In the meantime, this institution was closed by Pope Francis as part of his "new Ostpolitik" in order to provide a kind of advance payment to Beijing.

The Dam Break

"However, the recent developments (in the Vatican) indicate a veritable dam break" - "This flood could destroy what has still remains" - kath.net interview with Papal biographer Peter Seewald about the rupture between Francis and Benedict XVI.

Munich (kath.net/rn)

kath.net: Mr. Seewald, on the occasion of the announcement of the newly nominated cardinals and the future prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Der Spiegel titled: "Pope Francis clears Benedict's Legacy." The Frankfurter Rundschau wrote: "Francis finally breaks with Benedict." Were you surprised by the headlines?

Seewald: Not really. On the one hand, they correspond to the wishful thinking of relevant media, on the other hand, it was observed that the course of Pope Francis has radicalized, or let's say, unveiled, as he has gotten older. If then a competent collaborator like Archbishop Georg Gänswein is banished from the Vatican and at the same time a protege is appointed as the highest guardian of the faith, whose qualification for the most important office in the Catholic Church appears questionable, that is already a statement.

Congress Pushing to Make Criticism of Jews Illegal

Edit: they’re taking a further step in making free speech illegal. Judaism and Jewish Culture are no longer topics of rational discourse, and Jew is not a term that can be approached without deep religious veneration.

Imagine if Catholics were protected by such a law. I’d warrant people would become very sick of it.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-09) issued the following statement after voting in favor of H. Con. Res. 57 – “Expressing the sense of Congress supporting the State of Israel.”  This resolution was presented after members of Congress, including Rep. Jayapal, engaged in hateful antisemitic speech and labelled an entire nation as “racist” because of her strong hatred and antipathy towards the Jewish people:

“It is a sad day in Congress when we must address the vile, anti-Semitic hatred expressed by certain members.   Israel is not a racist state and I strongly condemn the recent anti-Semitic and hateful remarks made by Representative Pramila Jayapal.  Israel, the nation, was created as a safe haven for the Jewish people immediately following the Holocaust.  Israel is the historic, and current, home of the Jewish people.  The nation of Israel has every right to protect its sovereignty, its borders, its people, and doing so does not make it “racist.”

There is zero room in our society for these vile, hateful and bigoted comments in the Halls of Congress.  As our strongest ally in the Middle East, I will never shy away from my long-standing support for Israel. The anti-Jewish and anti-Israel statements by members of Congress must be condemned,” stated Congressman Gosar.

Certain Kinds of People Are Complaining About the Enormous Success of Sound of Freedom

Edit: Mark Shea is raving about how this movie is allegedly discrediting the “more important” evidence for sex abuse by Republicans, and complaining about people trying to guilt him into seeing it, and referring to Caviezel as “Q Jesus.”

Are you alright Mark, or just controlled by someone?

This seemed to be a recurring theme in the Patheos world.

Doesn’t this kind of vitriol make you want to see this film again and again and again?

This is what groomer Shea’s been looking for to fill out his poetic muse’s urn.

Here’s Tay-tay interviewing the Star.

A Tale of Two Nurses in The Covid Revolution

Edit: now for some happy news!  Sometimes, the truth just asserts itself as a nurse who accused anti-vaxxers of being conspiracy nuts has suddenly died from a vaxxine injury.

Meanwhile, a committed nurse in Germany who injected thousands of patients with saline solution, has been acquitted. Even in bonkers Germany, a place which Gaybrielle loves dearly for its submissiveness to globalism and New Church ™️, is beginning to see that this whole thing was a joke perpetrated by the usual suspects.

[Frontline News] A Texas nurse who blamed COVID-19 on “Right-wing conspiracy news outlets,” the unvaccinated, and those who didn’t wear masks, died suddenly this month. No cause of death has been revealed.

Kathryn Wyant Huffman worked as a float nurse at Medical City Dallas Hospital and would rant on social media about those who were not compliant with mandates, while lauding those who took the injections as having “good sense and courage”. In November 2020, Huffman took to Facebook to shame people she saw not wearing masks, claiming they “watch a lot of Fox News”. The then-57-year-old praised those who complied with restrictions as “decent, caring neighbors and citizens”.

Elton John to Give Evidence in Kevin Spacey Trial

Edit: meanwhile, Spacer’s defense team is attacking Spacey’s accusers for “exaggeration”.  Just what are they exaggerating, one wonders?  He’s doing his best to get back into the spotlight.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Sir Elton has had a few questionable situations when it comes to pederasty

Birds or a feather flock together.

[Hollywood Reporter] Elton John has appeared as a witness as part of Kevin Spacey’s defense in the actor’s ongoing sex assault trial in London.

The Rocketman star — who recently gave his final concert — appeared Monday alongside his partner David Furnish via video link from his lawyer’s office in Monaco, becoming the most high-profile witnesses to be called so far in the trial.

John was asked about Spacey’s appearance at one of his White Tie and Tiara Balls, held annually to raise money for the musician’s AIDS foundation; he recalled that Spacey had flown in at the last minute to attend the event in 2017. According to the Evening Standard newspaper, John confirmed that Spacey had stayed the night at their home in Windsor following the ball, and that he and Furnish had stored a red Mini car that the actor had bought at the event’s charity auction (a car he had told jurors was “the most expensive Mini Cooper ever”).

Peter Hitchens Comments on Archbishop’s Tinkering With Our Father

Edit: as I watched this, I couldn’t help but be a little cynical since it was Henry VIII who really kicked this sort of thing off in the first place. Surely, this ridiculous clown Archbishop is an evil clown, but he’s only following a precedent established long ago by other clowns and their apologists. This gender-inclusive specious line of argument has been sort of persisting for years with various adherents voicing their concerns, like among the Methodists and at your weirdo Newman Center, where the personal experience of abuse, particularly of women and effeminate males, is used as a pretext to remove gendered terms for God the Father.

So why is it being dealt with now with such earnestness by official conservative spokespersons like Peter Hitchens as if this is some kind of new sensation that shakes the Church of England? It’s not like some Father Geraldine Granger in a colorful jumper hasn’t already had a go at making church more friendly and inclusive.  These media generated circuses really make you wonder, so programmatic and astroturfed.

It’s almost like these fuddy-duddies,
like the stodgy comic villains of a tedious Romcom, complaining about attempts to make the Church more relevant are even less relevant than the initiatives they mock.

There’s also the issue of Hitchen’s former Trotskyism and his heritage as a Jew. Some may remember that he has played a role in opposition to his more widely esteemed brother and war mongering Trotskyist, Christopher. What he may lack for in effective solutions to deal with these kinds of modernizing and very tired clichés, he more than makes up for it in terms of framing the discussion for the hoi polloi to be corralled and counted.

If he really wanted to do something, he’d become a Catholic and address the Jewish Question with fairness and honesty, but he gets extremely testy when these things are brought up.

Somali in Bavaria Sexually Assaults 10 Year Old Girl

It was the horror ride of her life!

[Bild] The student Maria (10) came to Dorfen (Upper Bavaria) on Friday with the RB40 train.  At the train station, her aunt Anna (22) was waiting at five to five on platform 2. But the blonde girl will never forget what happened in the carriage according to police investigations.

The Somali refugee Mahdi A. (28) sat next to her and repeatedly stroked Maria's bare legs and knees against her will.  He reportedly screamed and moaned loudly.  That would be sexual harassment!

The man has been in custody since Wednesday.  The judiciary had initially let him go!

Crime scene Deutsche Bahn: On the route from Mühldorf to Munich there was an attack

 Photo: Robert Gongoll

Unbelievable: Mahdi A. is said to have chased the crying girl through the train, according to police circles.  He is also said to have pursued his child and aunt at the train station in Dorfen.  Both then sought shelter in a snack bar.

►The Turkish cook Abdi Sahin (22, has lived here for a year) opposed the Somali and protected Maria and her aunt.  He later told BILD: "It’s a matter of honour.  That's how I was raised.” Police officers finally rushed over and took the Somali to ground: ARREST!

Background: The drunk man has been in Germany since November 2015.  An asylum procedure failed.  His tolerance expired in June and was then extended.  He lives in Germany with an “enforceable obligation to leave the country”.

Doner chef Abdi Sahin (22) joined Maria (10) and stopped the man who had harassed her

 Photo: Robert Gongoll

A police officer quickly established that Mahdi A. is no stranger to the authorities.  The register contains entries for property, violent and narcotics offences.  The innkeeper later tells of the Somali's alleged threats: "I'll destroy you, I'll take you all apart."

How Mahdi A. describes the incident

►On Tuesday, reporters visited the Somali in his accommodation in Mühldorf in Upper Bavaria.  Mahdi said he's been in prison twice for drug-related offenses.  He doesn't have a job.  He gets unemployment benefits.

The man denies the incidents in Dorfen: "I just tapped the child's knee to calm her down." He admits that he spat at the police officers during his preliminary arrest.  These had previously hurt his arm.

Often has trouble with the police: Mahdi A. (28)

Only a short time after this photo, Mahdi A. (28) was arrested in his apartment in Mühlbach

 Photo: Robert Gongoll

Justice let him go – but now he is in custody

At first no.  BECAUSE: The public prosecutor's office in Landshut let Mahdi A. run again!  This was confirmed by a spokesman on a BILD request for comment.  That meant first of all: no detention!  The public prosecutor: "The suspect, who has a Duldung (provisional residence) in Germany, is not yet in custody." The investigations continued, "under high pressure".

Then the turning point: The suspect was provisionally arrested by the police late Tuesday evening.  At the request of the Landshut public prosecutor's office, an arrest warrant was issued around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  Reason: "Strong suspicion of sexual harassment and threats."

Now Mahdi A. is in jail.

The public prosecutor confirms: "He was brought to a correctional facility today after being presented to the district court in Landshut."  His apartment in Mühlbach was searched and two cell phones were confiscated.

The Federal Police are responsible for criminal offenses in train stations.  Chief trade unionist Heiko Teggatz to BILD: "I have absolutely no idea why detention was not ordered immediately, followed by detention pending deportation.  That was grossly negligent."

Interior expert Stefan Heck (CDU) to BILD: “Anyone who behaves like this has definitely not long to reside in our country.  Here, the only solution is detention and then quickly back to Somalia!”
