SSPX Petitions German Bishops to Make Reparations for Blasphemous Play

The Faithful Are Coming in Buses

Within a week Christ will be ridiculed in Hamburg. The Society of St. Pius X is encouraging the Archbishop Werner Thissen of Hamburg to make an act of reparation.

(kreuz.net, Stuttgart) On the 23rd of January the "Thalia Theater' in Hamburg is introducing the blasphemous piece 'Golgotha Picnic'.

This public act of agitation portrays Christ as a terrorist.

In addition a crucifixion is enacted with a half-naked prostitute.  The tramp has a motorcycle helmet with a crown of thorns painted on it.

In the piece more naked exhibitionist enter whose reproductive organs are projected on a screen for the titillation of the audience.

In France there are thousands of youth on the street.

The Society of St. Pius X jumped into the breech today.  They protested against the blasphemy in a press release.

This requested the German Bishops to participate in the protest.

The speaker for the Society, Father Andreas Steiner, had e-mailed the various press offices of the Diocese.

He recalled that in France, many Bishops -- among them Msgr Dominique Rey (59) of Toulon and Mons. Raymond Centène (53) of Vannes -- condemned the piece in strong terms.

Cardinal André Vingt-Trois of Paris called a prayer vigil against the piece in his Cathedral.

Father Steiner is hoping naively that the German Bishops will follow these examples.

His expectation has even extended elsewhere, that also Protestants, Jews and Muslims will protest.

In fact, the only Christians you could realistically expect to be at the theater will be Traditionalist.

Degenerate and Blasphemous Art Continues to Appear with Your Tax Dollar

Edit: Apparently, the only group systematically protesting this is the TFP who sent out some e-mails about it.   But Bill Donahue has said something too.  It's still ongoing. Still, there's only one group I know of that does anything effective against this determined evil.

Check out the poll in the article below.  Most people who've voted feel Christianity is unfairly singled out by the Arts.

[New York Daily News] An avant-garde video of ants skittering over the crucified Jesus is enraging Christians who say an upcoming Brooklyn Museum art exhibit is sacrilegious.

"Ants were crawling on the image of the crucified Christ," said Msgr. Kieran Harrington, a spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, which sent a letter asking for the video to get yanked from the exhibit. "Certainly we don’t think this would be tolerated if this was the image of the Prophet Muhammed or any other religious symbol."

"A Fire in My Belly" is a short, unfinished film created by the late David Wojnarowicz. The Brooklyn Museum intends to show a four-minute edit of the video, which is about suffering.

Parisian Catholics Strike Out Against Blasphemous Play

Edit:  Christianiphobia's ok, that's the message that's being sent, and you'd better not do anything about it either.  A protest organized by an organization known as Renouveau Françai, that is a group of fervent Catholics dedicated to the restoration of France to Her ancient traditions. The protest has sparked a lot of justifiable anger among the Parisians as a whole, while decadent government officials seek legal remedies.  According to the following news report, this play, which blasphemes the Blessed Mother and Our Lord, has appeared without incident in Poland, Spain and Italy.

What's wrong with the rest of Europe?  Is France  the only nation in Europe where men take action against palpable evil when they see it?

Some protesters got inside the play and displayed a banner.  They were manhandled -- if you can call it that--
by the theater staff while the audience jeered at the protesters who'd stolen the stage.

PARIS (AP) — The city of Paris is filing legal complaints against a group of fundamentalist Christians who have been protesting a play currently showing at the municipal theater, claiming it is blasphemous, the mayor said Friday.

Riot police have been called in to chase off demonstrators bearing crosses loudly protesting in front of, and sometimes inside, the Theatre de la Ville since the Oct. 20 opening of the play.

"Sur le Concept du Visage du fils de Dieu" ("On the Concept of the Son of God's Face"), by Italian Romeo Castellucci is a provocative story centering on a young man caring for his aged and incontinent father. A portrait of the face of Christ looms large onstage throughout and projectiles are ultimately thrown at it.

Heroes strike at 'Piss Christ' photo in France

Editor: The French are indeed courageous.  They take churches from the modernists by force and destroy decadent art rather than let the imposture continue.  Long live France.

It's so clear now.  It's ok to be a pederast as long as you're not a Catholic pederast.  It's ok to go to Thailand and exploit poor children who have nothing for sex, but even if you're falsely accused, to the gallows with you.  Neither, Whoopi Goldberg nor Taki Theodoracopoulos will defend you, you'll just have to settle for a much maligned German website and a few Traditionalists here and there.

It don't matter how much you hate the Catholic Church, if  you defend Roman Polanski, you're scum and probably do some of the same things he's guilty of yourselves.

This is from kreuznet:

France's Minister of Pederasty Goes on Rampage
According to France's Pedo-Minister, Frederic Mitterand, the act of heroism was described as "unacceptable" .

Mitterand is a homosexually distrurbed individual, who has defended the condemned child rapist Roman Polanski.

Whoever felt themselves injured by this blasphemy, must turn themselves to  -- idle  -- Justice,  which exclamation made  Mitterand more ridiculous than he already is.

Every kind of the destruction or "intolerance" is not acceptable.

Last Saturday 1.800 Catholics, who are close to the Society of St. Pius X, demonstrated against the "Urine Christ".

They effected the temporary closure of the museum.
The completely unsatisfactor AP article, below:

MARSEILLE, France — Police in the south of France on Monday sought two vandals who destroyed a US artist's photograph of a plastic crucifix submerged in urine that outraged American conservatives in the 1980s.
Two men armed with a hammer and a screwdriver-like device attacked "Piss Christ" by New York-based Andres Serrano at the Collection Lambert museum of contemporary art in Avignon on Sunday, officials said.
A second Serrano photograph, "The Church: Sister Jeanne Myriam," was also targeted in the late-morning incident in which three guards who tried to intervene were assaulted, the museum's founder Yvon Lambert said.

Movie Legion that Mocks the Faith and Leads to Despair

It's a familiar theme brought to us by the perennial adolescents of hollywood, rebel bad-boy saves the human race inspite of the efforts of all the people with hang-ups who really bring everyone down with morals.

The movie itself is poorly done, and is practically a caricature of the idea that evil can be good. Ayn Rand in one of her rare moments of insight explained that evil is in the world because it can be portrayed as a good. It's along those lines that Hollywood media types have been working for as long as films have been made, to present the outsider, Prometheus, as the savior of mankind. It's a captivating and persuasive theme, but I can't imagine many people seeing this movie, which is really only a remake of flop Prophesy.

Tradition Family and Private Property

Sony offended millions of Americans with its blasphemous film, The Da Vinci Code. Now it is set to do the same with the movie, Legion and that’s why The American TFP is asking its members to protest this latest blasphemy.

Online Petition, here.

The New Irish Blasphemy Laws will Displease Everyone

Even the atheists are right about this one. These laws will restrict even good intolerant speech about false religions and make it even harder for the Catholic Church in Ireland to do its job. This is yet another reason why the Irish Republic was a bad idea when it was first conceived and remains a bad idea today, but so much worse for its execution. It must make laws to appease the invisible authocracy of "consensus" but only does so in the name of a non-existent popular sovereignty.

Secular campaigners in the Irish Republic defied a strict new blasphemy law which came into force today by publishing a series of anti-religious quotations online and promising to fight the legislation in court.

The new law, which was passed in July, means that blasphemy in Ireland is now a crime punishable with a fine of up to €25,000 (£22,000).

It defines blasphemy as "publishing or uttering matter that is grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters sacred by any religion, thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion, with some defences permitted".

Cardinal Schönborn Allows Communist Burial Service at Vienna Cathedral

This Sunday an Austrian state-artist, Stalinist, blasphemer and pornographer Alfred Hrdlicka was buried in Vienna.

The media hungry vienese Cathedral Priest Anton Faber provided a Catholic burial for the blasphemous artist.

What followed was a cabaret act where many of Vienna's leftist politicians came to mourn in the presence of unappealing bronze statues where Father Faber in his solemn black cope read the blessing for the unrepentant Communist and blessed him with holy water as his red lacquered casket was lowered into the ground with a hammer and chisel atop it in place of the traditional crucifix; meanwhile a gypsy choir sang Communist songs predicting the victory of the Red Revolution, which had cost the lives of so many Christiains.

It should go without saying that canon law forbids the burial of non-Catholics (Hrdlika was Old Catholic) and unrepentant sinners.

The following video shows some of his hideous "artworks" which adorn the Barbara Chapel in the St. Stephens Cathedral in which his funeral service was held, where Fr. Faber announced that "we are hopeful of his eternal life". Perhaps he meant something about posterity? We want to be charitable and not take things out of context after all...

Hrdlika had previously displayed a blasphemous Last Supper in the St. Stephen's Cathedral which eventually, under some duress, Cardinal Schönborn removed it at Cathcon.
