Archbishop Viganò Accuses Pope of Lying

ROME, May 28, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — For what appears to be the first time, Pope Francis has openly denied that he knew anything of former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick’s immoral activities, directly contradicting Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò’s account of their conversation on the subject.
“I didn’t know anything ... nothing, nothing,” Pope Francis said in a new interview published on Tuesday in Vatican News.
In response, the former apostolic nuncio to the United States has directly accused Pope Francis of lying.

Aw, gee, and all this time I thought he was afraid of committing himself. Now to publish and make available the proof of his culpability, that's harder to do.

...Proof of his culpability that can be made available and released into the general mainstream media, I mean.

* Ultimately, the distinction of realms goes back to the words of Jesus: ‘Render unto Caesar the things that are of Caesar and to God the things that are of God’.”
Which begs the question, why would anyone desire to render unto Caesar, the things that are of God”, unless they deny that God, The Most Holy And Undivided Blessed Trinity, Is The Author Of Love, Of Life, And Of Marriage, Through The Unity Of The Holy Ghost, and thus, ipso facto, deny The Divinity Of The Most Holy And Undivided Blessed Trinity.

“It is up to Parliament to discuss, argue, explain, reason [on matters like same-sex marriage].”79
Which I suppose would be consistent with this statement:
“If there is a union of a private nature, there is neither a third party, nor is society affected. Now, if the union is given the category of marriage, there could be children affected. Every person needs a male father and a female mother that can help shape their identity.” -Jorge Bergoglio
Which is certainly not consistent with this statement:
“1849 Sin is an offense against reason, truth, and right conscience; it is failure in genuine love for God and neighbor caused by a perverse attachment to certain goods. It wounds the nature of man and injures human solidarity. It has been defined as "an utterance, a deed, or a desire contrary to the eternal law."121
* 1850 Sin is an offense against God: "Against you, you alone, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight."122 Sin sets itself against God's love for us and turns our hearts away from it. Like the first sin, it is disobedience, a revolt against God through the will to become "like gods,"123 knowing and determining good and evil. Sin is thus "love of oneself even to contempt of God."124 In this proud self- exaltation, sin is diametrically opposed to the obedience of Jesus, which achieves our salvation.125“
And thus, could not possibly be consistent with this statement:
“For the Holy Spirit was not promised to the successors of Peter that by His revelation they might make known new doctrine, but that by His assistance they might inviolably keep and faithfully expound the Revelation, the Deposit of Faith, delivered through the Apostles. "
We can know through both our Catholic Faith and reason, and thus The Law Of Noncontradiction, that Truth will not contradict Truth, and although error has no rights, because Truth Is Truth, while error is not, error can often help to illuminate The Truth, separating The Light, From The Darkness.
The Goodnews Is, “The Darkness cannot overcome Him”.

Hey Guys---
This news, which started out only on Lifesite and other Catholic websites only, is now ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND NETWORKS!!! CBs,MSNBC,Fox, etc. all are reporting that Francis has been accused of lying about McCarrick....and the Vatican issues the usuall "no comment". They are panicking, obviously.
This is HUGE news, because it follows the action of the brave Msgr. Figueredo (former secretary to McCarrick), to publish his archive letters of the issue of the restrictions Pope Benedict XVI placed on McCarrick. It is apparent in those letters that not only DID Benedict XVI issue the restrictions, relayed to McCarrick by several powerful Vatican cardinals, including Cardinal Re, Bertone, etc. but also Cardinal Wuerl knew of them, and both he and McCarrick....ignored them and that Francis lifted them.
The Figueredo letters, plus Francis' blatant lie on Mexican TV interview about McCarrick and his pervert sexual proclivities ( now confirmed by Archbishop Vigano), is HUGE news.
Lets hope all this grows and multiplies and that neither Francis nor the Vatican will be able to brush it away and that it grows to tsunami proportions and sweeps away within months Francis, and all his associates....especially Parolin and Mariadiaga....both also implicated.

This is all very convenient with the skewed testimony of a lying, dissembling, cowardly Vigano getting more free air time by the lying Lifesite & fellow mendacious media. None of these bastards could lie straight in bed even with body calipers on.
Don't let any semblance of truth get in the way of the nonsense being peddled by the AltRight reactionary rump.

To Peter W-

I feel sorry for you, Man. I really do. Both Archbishop Vigano and Msgr. Figueredo have the hard copy files as proof that there were sanctions placed on McCarrick, and hard copy proof that Wuerl and Francis and others knew of it and ignored it ....or in the case of Francis, lifted it. They are not making this stuff up to discredit your hero Francis. This is crap that Francis and his cohorts did, and are now being revealed. And having no defense, they do what all low life scum do....they lie about and claim their innocence. "I knew nothing...." claims Francis. Yeah, right "holy father". And I;m gonna be elected to succeed the Donald in 2020.

Grow up, Peter. Your here is a a lying, deceitful sob who won the Throne of Peter through a coup by like minded sobs. His term has been one weekly scandal after another.
But his time is running out...physically....as well as with regards to his position.
How long do you think the Cardinals and Bishops who are decent and just minded men will stand for this. Don't be surprised if many of them start calling for an end of this....meaning and end of Francis' papacy.
That is unless Francis and his scumbags have death squads roaming the globe ready to hunt good men down. Which isn't really too far fetched to believe, considering the kind of person Francis and his people are.

As an aside....after Msgr. Figueredo's bombshell exposing Wuerl in the McCarrick affair, and Francis...word is that Wuerl is planning a quickie escape to Rome as the RICO investigators close in on investigation of Washington DC archdiocese...in which case, the new man on the hot seat, Wilton Gregory, will be on a flight somewhere too before long..into hiding.

Pope (?) Francis is now officially a liar. Unofficially a heretic. A known protector of homosexual abusers. A friend of Communist dictators. A tyrant. A false or anti-Pope. A usurper of the seat of Peter. A disciple of Martin Luther.

The only reason he remains as Pope is the lack of courage and Catholic faith by the Cardinal and Bishops along with the ignorance of the sort of Catholic laity.

We have to give the devil his due for pulling off this monstrosity. The monstrosity being mainly the catastrophic Vatican II and the corrupt structural governance of the Church.

The good part is that this news is getting out there.

Damian M. Malliapalli said...

Yeah, the news is getting out there.....but there's still a crowd of naïve people still willing to show up at his Sunday Angelus appearances at his window, and his General Audiences on Wednesday. I know one thing about that, though. I know that 80% of the people who show up are NOT Romans or even Italians.....but tourists/pilgrims. He really has next to no fans in Italy....except for the radical liberals, which are a dying breed. The Italian bishops he's put in for the most part are ignored. Some have been proven records as radicals, and a few are gay.

Poor Benedict XVI, a nice guy who was forced out because he tried to be faithful. He was too much of a trusting, nice guy. He was, as one bishop who supports him said "a gentleman, who did not return insult for insult, or slander for slander, he didn't knife people behind the back." He knew the game, but didn't join in.
Too bad. If he had been "God's Rottweiler" as Pope the way he was described as Prefect of the CDF, he'd still be Pope, and all those who planned his exit would be spending their days in Mongolia, or Afghanistan or Iran as "nuncios".

Except that Vigano’s testimony has proven to be substantially correct and backed up by evidence and facts. Evidence, facts and argumentation which are completely absent from your contributions here.

Tancred said...

Why can’t Peter make substantive replies involving evidence and arguments rather than insults?

Michael Dowd said...

Thanks Damian. I more or less agree on Benedict. But it seems to me he should have the courage to tell the true story of his resignation and the election of the unfortunate Francis. On the other side of this we should understand that if he tried to publish the truth he could be killed. Note: Vigano running for his life.

Pope Benedict is not completely innocent in this entire scenario. He allowed the removal of Archbishop Raymond Burke from St. Louis in 2008 just before the election of Senator Barry Obama. I have conclusive email proof from the press secretary for now Cardinal Burke who left in August of 2008 for a cover job in the Vatican.---Benedict did everything asked of him by JPII who followed an assassinated JPI according to Malachi Martin. JPII was then shot by a Muslim hired by the Russians with evident Vatican complicity. Ratzinger tried to implement the Wojtyla agenda. It faltered and he agreed to leave when he saw that he was ineffective.----The motives of Pope Benedict are not completely known. Bergoglio was almost elected in 2005 having come in second. Benedict could not fight the leftist onslaught and so he walked away.---The timeline for God is His alone. He sent His Son to found His Church. He will not abandon His people---The priesthood of Melchizedek is His alone. Mohammed was not a priest and did not found a parallel religion. Neither did Karl Marx.---Pope Francis should be removed for his refusal to emphasize personal sin. That is why Christ came into this world. Man (woman) has a fallen nature and a Redeemer came to overcome this weakness.--The movement to create a one world religion is similar to the Tower of Babel according to a preacher here. This makes Pope Francis into a new Christ who makes the founder of His Church obsolete in light of a new world order. Just when the Anti Christ shows up on the world stage is anybody's guess. Nevertheless, it is obvious that Pope Francis is opening the door.

There is no 'Pope Francis the first'...simply bergoglio...the destroyer, and usurper. That is becoming more and more evident by the hour. Barnhardt was right. She remains right. She is Joan of Arc, as John was Elijah, and she will be owed by MANY a grand apology.

JBQ--

Excellent comment re: B16. IMO the Vatican is nearly totally corrupt and has been for some time. The governance structure is unworkable. The College of Cardinals must be done away with and the Pope elected by the Bishops. I would also get rid of the Vatican State as the Church should not be a player in world politics as it only corrupts.

PF is a serial liar, he was elected to wreck the RCC and does his job, I hope the truth will soon come out and Benedict can say the real reason why he left. God bless and forgive us all.

Is it just me, or is Peter W a freemason, an atheist, and a communist? Really. -Dirk

Francis has established an anti-church. Since the vast majority of Catholics are ignorant... twits [not too harsh, I hope] who don't know what Catholicism is, and are thus heretical, could Tancred please make harder arguments for the SSPX? Am I speaking to the wind? -Dirk

The Soviets have succeeded belatedly when they infiltrated atheists into the priesthood.

The SSPX has been criticizing critics of Bergoglio. He seems to have liked them in Buenos Aires. I can’t begin to wonder why.

Peter W's style of writing reminds me of some other people who were of the same mindset as he, and sometimes even used the same kind of descriptives when talking about an event or person. Which made me think that (although it's kind of sick that anybody would do it), they're all one and the same person.
Gotta say it......anyone who does that , my suggestion is "get a life" :)
