Communist Government in Spain Wants to Remove Franco’s Remains — Church’s Pathetic Response

Spain’s New Prime Minister intends to remove remains from the Valley of the Fallen this month

The Archdiocese of Madrid has warned the Spanish government against plans to exhume the remains of the country’s late dictator, General Francisco Franco, without obtaining agreement from interested parties. “We want a solution which helps build a peaceful country,” said Rodrigo Pinedo Texidor, archdiocesan communications director, noting that the archdiocese is not for or against the removal of Franco’s remains

“We are against moves which don’t have his family’s consent and don’t consider what the Church has to say,” he told Catholic News Service after Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez confirmed plans to remove the remains from a state mausoleum at the Valley of the Fallen, near Madrid, by the end of July.

Pope Recognizes African Witchcraft Victim and Martyrs of the Communists in Spain as Martyrs

The South African lay catechist and Samuel Benedict Daswa was killed by a crowd, because his Christian convictions opposed local spirit healers and witchcraft.

Vatican City (kath.net/KAP) Pope Francis has officially recognized 20 Spanish civil war victims and a lay Catholic from South Africa as martyrs on Friday. The future South African Blessed is Tshimangadzo Samuel Benedict Daswa (1946-90) from Mbahe in the former Venda homeland. Working on behalf of the Diocese of Tzaneen as catechist (photo), he was killed by a mob because in his Christian convictions, he opposed local spirit healers and their witchcraft. Whith the Spaniards, there are three members of the community of Josefite Sisters and 17 Trappist monks who were murdered in 1936 out of hatred for the Catholic Faith.

Still not officially recognized by the Congregation as a martyr, is the Salvadoran Socialist, Archbishop Oscar Romero (1917-1980) murdered while he was saying Mass. For him, the competent Theological Commission had confirmed the death was because of hatred of the faith according to information from the Vatican already. [How is that possible if they don't know who the assailants were?]

However, this vote must first be approved by the Cardinal of the Congregation. Overall, the Congregation of Saints published eleven decrees on Friday, with the approval of the Pope. For the Italian foundress Maria Teresa Casini (1864-1937), a miracle of healing was confirmed. There are no obstacles to her beatification. Seven other people have been recognized as having "heroic virtue." There is also the Ukrainian priest, Ladislav Bukowinski (1904-74), the US Founder Louis Schwartz, who died in 1992 at the age of 62 years in the Philippines, as well as the Japanese Elisabeth Maria Satoko Kitahara (1929-58).

"Humble" Communist Baby Killer of Uruguay Legalizes Drugs

(Montevideo) Who is José Mujica, the "poor president", who is putting Uruguay on a heading for  the legalization of prenatal infanticide, drugs and "gay marriage"? Loved by the media because of his gestures of frugality and modesty, he is transforming the Latin American country into a lab for radical leftist experimentation.
José Alberto Mujica Cordano, called El Pepe, won another victory on Wednesday when the Senate in Montevideo finally legalized the cultivation and sale of marijuana. And even though the majority of the population rejects the drug legalization. Uruguay, the small state of twice the size of Austria and with 3.2 million inhabitants, pressed between the two giants Brazil and Argentina, is now in all the daily newspapers in the world. So far, the "liberalization" of the country was largely  quiet and unobserved.

The Self-Confessed Atheist with Feeling for the Right Gestures

2010, the self-confessed atheist, Pepe Mujica was elected president. In the 60s he had been connected to the communist guerrilla movement Movimiento de Liberación Nacional - Tupamaros (MLN-T), then emerged with Soviet help in most Latin American countries and exaggerated their mischief.  He sat in jail for 14 years up to 1985. In 1989 he was among the founders of the Marxist-Leninist Movimiento de Participación Popular (MPP), which he has represented in Parliament since 1994. Mujicas wife is the MPP chairman and also sits on the MPP in the Parliament.
El Pepe has assured that the marijuana legalization was not driven to deliver the land to  drugs, but "an important market to deprive drug traffickers". There is a state authority to legally grant licenses for drug cultivation and to control the sale of drugs. The sale is only possible to take place through pharmacies who apply for it and only to adults.

El Pepe the "Poor President"

Mujicas drug liberalization is only the latest of his "inventions". El Pepe, who officially claims to be a flower grower by profession, but has never really exercised a profession as a livelihood, as his critics say. Since his election as president, he embodies a radical left-wing populism. The example of a government representative, who does not aim for the general welfare, but an ideologically motivated decomposition thereof. However, he holds his revolutionary spirit as invisible as possible parading before him. Outwardly, he pays particular attention to gestures that please the media, while he prefers to make a policy on breastfeeding. This is all the more easier, like as the left state leaders "with a heart for the people" the media likes so much. They coined a number of non-political nick names and descriptions of El Pepe: gestures of humility as a modern form of "canonization" without a critical analysis of what lies behind them.
In the International lifestyle magazine Monocle, a Spiegel favorite, Tyler Brule, has called him "the best president in the world". The left Le Monde praised Mujica as "the poorest president of the World" because he still lives on his small farm and retains only a tenth of the President salary for himself. The rest he donates to organizations whose political line he supports. The left La Repubblica celebrated El Pepe few weeks ago, as "a symbol of modesty," as "Anti-Consumist and atheist, loved by the poor, hated by the rich."

From Communist Guerrilla Child Murderer

The road to the Presidential Palace was made possible by a broad leftist coalition, the Frente Amplio  (FA), whose pillars Mujicas MPP, is like the political arm of the former guerrilla movement, forming the Socialist Party and the Communist Party of Uruguay. The spectrum ranges from the left wing of the Christian to left-wing extremism. At international level, the FA is part of the Socialist International . It holds 50 of 99 and 16 of 30 seats, a slim majority in both chambers of the Uruguayan Parliament.
Since taking office in 2010, Uruguay has become the parade ground to the left of liberal society politicians. The first official act, the killing of unborn children, was legalized, against which his predecessor, Tabare Vazquez still struggles with a veto and great personal commitment. The doctor, Vazquez, stood at that time against his own Socialist Party, which he left in protest because of their position in favor of infanticide. The "poor" Pepe Mujica had no such scruples.  After his election as president, he said, he covered the murder of unborn children as the "rights of women". Today abortion is legal in Uruguay to the 12th Week of pregnancy.  Then El Pepe pushed for Uruguay to become the first South American country to legalize "gay marriage".  Now the cultivation and sale of marijuana has been legalized.

63 New Blesseds -- Rolando Rivi Murdered by Communists at the Age of 14

Edit: Vere Surrexit Dominus, Alleluia!  New Beatifics!

(Vatican / Reggio Emilia) On Maundy Thursday Pope Francis approved the beatification of 63 Catholics, among them are also martyrs of the Spanish Civil War.  Along with those who will soon be beatified are included Rolando Rivi, a young Italian seminarian of Castellarano in the Emilia region,  on whom Giovannino Guareschi has also based his Don Camillo. Rivi was shot on 13 April 1945  because of the anti-religious hatred of Communist partisan in the province of Modena.
The young Catholic who had come from grade school to the small diocesan seminary, died at the age of only 14.  His killers had kidnapped him during the end of the civil war raging in northern Italy  in the mountains of Emilia during the Second World War. What now in the history books is usually glorified uncritically as the "Resistance," is presented as a resistance against the "Nazi-fascism", that the fight against the German occupation forces and against Italian fascism was in fact in some areas of northern Italy, a civil war in which it came to who would hold the power in the postwar period. The Communist partisans took up arms, not only against German troops and Italian Blackshirts, but for the establishment of a Soviet Republic with the dictatorship of the proletariat and thus against all non-communists, including especially the Catholics.

Left  historical misrepresentations are addressed and overcome

The "Resistance,” was  understood by many Communist brigades as the spark for a communist revolution, also in Emilia. Therefore Rolando Rivi  only  a 14 year old boy, had to die, and with him, dozens of priests and religious, who were brutally murdered in the "death triangle" of Emilia.  Not because they were suspected to have been fascists or had fascist friends, as Leftist historiography and "partisan tradition” would like to tell it, but because they defended the Catholic faith, which the Communist revolutionaries wanted to eliminate.
Rolando Rivi was a young lad of Catholic parents, whose greatest desire was to become a priest. He would rather die than take off his cassock as his killers had asked of him. [How many Communists in modern seminaries today want their young men to remove their cassocks and wear street clothes!]
The beatification process had entered eight years ago into the decisive phase after two dioceses, those of Modena, where the martyrdom took place, and that of Reggio Emilia, the home diocese of Rivi, completed the preliminary investigations.  In 2005  the two dioceses promoted the cause from a joint committee, in order to promote the causa.

His greatest desire was to become a priest - grown reverence among believers in the Pacific

The admiration for the young seminarian was in the religious people has grown over the years after the war during the peace. Publicly it was by grace, miracles and healings, whose testimonies were collected from the two dioceses.  From different countries today, the faithful flock to the hills of the Apennines to the Romanesque church,  in which  Rolando Rivi lies buried.
Pope Francis recognized with his signature on Holy Thursday, that the young seminarian was not murdered by the Communist partisans for political reasons, but in odium fidei, out of hatred for the faith.
A decision that is to challenge in those events and help to ensure greater attention  in the post-war period "canonized” by Leftist historical misrepresentation. It is therefore an important signal that the first choices of the new Pope's beatification of Servants of God were killed by  two different totalitarian ideologies which were yet opposed to God, which rocked the 20th and persecuted the Church.

Martyrs of totalitarians, Godless ideologues, raised to the altars

Among the 63 Catholics whose beatification Pope Francis signed, there is also the Dominican, Father Giuseppe Girotti, who was killed in 1945  in the concentration camp at Dachau.
Archbishop Luigi Negri of Ferrara said after learning of the beatification: "The meeting with Rolando Rivi meant in my life, the encounter with the experience of a radical adherence to Christ and to the Church, which dominates the boy's age and state wide. A faith in granite, a simple but robust faith that allowed him to stand faithfully and firmly even before the outbreak of the wildest anti-Christian hatred, with humility and realism.  Evidence which is also aimed at the youth of today and certainly not unheard of today”  says Monsignor Negri for the Nuova Bussola Quotidian.

Archbishop Luigi Negri: "Rolando Rivi is the St. Aloysius Gonzaga of the third millennium"

Archbishop of Ferrara compared the soon to be blessed Rolando Rivi with another great young saint. "I believe that Rolando can be the Saint Aloysius Gonzaga of the third millennium, because in him the same faith freshness and the same size of the witness of faith which shines forth"
Rolando Rivi is in fact already beatified with the papal signature. In the coming months, however, a solemn Rite of Beatification will take place in Modena, where the Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints will read the decree of the Pope.
Rolando Rivi is the first Italian Blessed, who was in a junior seminary and the first among the 130 priests and seminarians who were killed during the Civil War with Italian Communists.

B’nai B’rith “Memorial Liturgy” in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires With Cardinal Bergoglio

(Buenos Aires) Hardly had he been elected, when the attempt was made to insinuate Pope Francis' involvement with the military dictatorship (1976-1982). The intention was quite arrested by the categories of "politically correct” thinking, which many European media and public figures are incapable of thinking beyond. In the Left-Liberal spectrum of roles is clear from the outset and always that: the military dictatorship is rejected, because the enemy is always on the right.

Far more generous if you look at the other side, where all sorts of leftist romped, armed terrorist groups, not only resisted against the military dictatorship, but not insignificantly as combatants for Marxism, partly with Soviet support, the reason for this was that it was against the military dictatorship.

"Entanglement" of Pope Francis with military dictatorship reveals just how liberals tick

It seems at present, that even the ideologues and ideologies that do not deserve it, be "cleansed" in an infusion of the persecuted innocent persecuted by the generals, should have anything to do with the Catholic Church. Not everyone, be he Franciscan or Jesuit being pursued at that time in Argentina was a faithful son of Holy Church. Many had swapped the cross for a Kalashnikov.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio had resisted them and has remained true to his priestly vocation. As the Good Shepherd, he fought for the imprisoned brethren, of which he was suspected for years, completely unjustly as being an informer. One reason why the election of this new pope caused the German Jesuits little enthusiasm. A suspicion, which incidentally has now been withdrawn by one of the then imprisoned Jesuits imprisoned by the Junta, Father Francis Jalics.

Explanation needed for "Holocaust memorial liturgy" of B'nai B'rith in Catholic Cathedral

Because of the military dictatorship Pope Francis has no need for explanation. At least, however, a " commemoration of the [Reichs] Kristallnacht “ appears to require some explanation, which was organized with the Jewish organization B'nai B'rith on the 12th along with the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires on November of 2012 to "commemorate six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust." The commemoration of the Jewish Lodge, officially even called a "commemorative liturgy", took place in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, as the then Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio participated actively.

B'nai B'rith does not belong to official Freemasonry, although there are some overlaps and human forms of cooperation. The "Sons of the Covenant” [Söhne des Bundes], the German translation of the name originated in 1843 at a time when Jews were often rejected in Masonic lodges, so they formed their own parallel lodges, which in contrast to Freemasonry, are not a secret society. The Independent Order of B'nai B'rith may therefore, with all the differences, referred to as a kind of Jewish form of Freemasonry with its own rites and identification. The individual branches are therefore called lodges. The lodges of a country are gathered in the District Grand Lodge. This Jewish order was founded to represent Jewish interests in political terms. It also wants to promote the ethics of the brothers, which is very similar to that of Freemasonry. In the USA, almost ten percent of all male Jews of the lodge, appropriate weight, a corresponding number in the associated lodges.

Why did the Jewish Lodge organize a Jewish memorial for Jewish victims in Catholic churches?

Argentine Catholic organizations wondered how it was possible that a Jewish organization, also a lodge, might hold a memorial service in the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. The Archdiocese might have helped out differently because of space problems. But why was a liturgical space was made available in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament of Christ Himself? As Cardinal Bergoglio was keynote speaker at the event, it is clear who made the misappropriation, Pagina Catolica even speaks of the possible "desecration" of the Cathedral. In fact, with the "memorial liturgy" a kind of worship was celebrated. Since the event has been running for several years, there are already rehearsed rites similar acts. Before the altar there sat several representatives of Christian denominations (Lutheran, Prebyterianer, Methodist) next to the Cardinal. The official program book with the symbol of B'nai B'rith and the coat of arms of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires is called an "Inter-religious Liturgy." Six candles symbolize in this Holocaust memorial ritual each of the six million Jewish victims. Rabbi Alejandro Avruj lit each candle along with the representative of a Christian denomination or a Jewish organization. The last of the six candles he lit together with Cardinal Bergoglio.

Cardinal Bergoglio has cultivated close contacts with B'nai B'rith with an annual series of meetings and mutual invitations, where the cardinal especially emphasized his praise for the social commitment of the Jewish Lodge. For this reason, the Jewish representatives of the Grand Lodge officially opened on the 19th of March at the inauguration ceremony of Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square in part and the next day at the reception for the religious leaders in the Vatican, including the Director of B'nai B'rith-Committee for UN Affairs, David J. Michaels.

Under Archbishop Bergoglio it became customary in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires since 1994 that B'nai B'rith, performs its annual memorial service held for the Jewish victims of Nazism in Argentina's Catholic churches. In 2005, the Acto de Recordación de la Noche de los Cristales Rotos was held in the Catholic church of San Nicolas de Bari. Even then Cardinal Bergoglio was present, as a photo of Rabbi Felipe Yafe shows. In 2009 in the Catholic parish church of Santa Catalina de Siena, also in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. In 2008 the memorial was on the 70th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, also exclusively for Jewish victims of the Shoah, in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, in the presence of the Israeli, German and Austrian ambassador. In 2007, the ceremony was held in the San Ignacio Church of Buenos Aires.

Inter-religious ritual compatible with Catholic understanding?

After a meeting between Cardinal Bergoglio and Mario Wilhelm on the 4th of June, the Argentine president of B'nai B’rith and Boris Kalnicki, who is in B'nai B'rith responsible for inter-religious dialogue, said in a press statement for the Jewish organization that the "traditional commemoration of Kristallnacht" again will take place in 2012 and will “include a generous cooperation of Cardinal." The event was organized for the 8th November “at a church, decided at upon at a later time". It was finally not just any church, but the Diocesan church itself. The fact that the event takes place in a Catholic church, was self-evident for B'nai B’irith.

In 2011 the place for the Kristallnacht commemoration was in the cathedral church of the Diocese of San Isidro instead. For most of the Diocesan Commission for Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue, B'nai B'rith Argentina, an Argentine Jewish-Christian brotherhood and fellowship Lamroth Hakol, organized to hold a commemoration on the 10th November with texts by Rabbi Leon Klenicki and the Catholic theologian Eugene Fischer for their own "Interfaith liturgy", "with witnesses, songs and references to the night of the 9th November 1938 in Germany and Austria, the 20th which is regarded as the beginning of the Jewish Holocaust of the 20th Century or the Shoah." It was also the basis of the "memorial liturgy" 2012.

The question is not why the Jews commemorate those events in Argentina. But the question is, why is the Catholic Church in Argentina which is not directly related to these events in faraway Europe 70 years ago apply, which - as explicitly emphasized B'nai B'rith - by no means all of the victims, but only the Jewish victims of National Socialism. Why then is this Jewish memorial to Jewish victims held in a Catholic church?

Kathredale occupied twice by political groups

In any case, it has been moved to the Cathedral of Buenos Aires. It has been occupied by political groups in the last five years. When the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Bergoglio was already in Rome and just begun in the conclave, 200 activists of the leftist Movimiento Popular La Dignidad (MPLD) occupied the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, as the Spanish church historian Francisco Fernandez de la Cigena reported. The Parish Priest had to cancel the celebration of Holy mass. In 2008 the cathedral had been abused for political purposes. At that time, the cathedral church was occupied by the leftist Madres de Plaza de Mayo. In both cases, the protest was addressed against cuts in government funding for projects in which the respective occupying groups were associated with the church in no way.

Martyr Cardinal, Aloyisius Stepanic

Editor:  Here is a man who bore the indignities and torments of the Passion.  He was beatified by John Paul II on October 3, 1998. In honor of his birthday which is May 8, the feast of St. Victor Maurus, we present a piece written in 1947, defending this great man against his Communist persecutors.  We personally recall a University professor who taught at a Midwestern College who lamented the Beatification of this great Saint, repeating the vicious calumnies against the Cardinal repeated by his Communist hosts in Tito's Yugoslavia during the sixties.  We hope that we can do a small part in making reparation for that by this small work.  Our age needs more heroes like him. Maybe you can help Our Lord carry his Cross?

Aloysius Stepanic [Croatian: Alojzije Viktor Stepinac, 8 May 1898 –10 February 1960] is a Croatian peasant, Archbishop of Zagreb and spiritual chief of all Catholics in his native land.

In October, 1946, he was condemned by Joseph Tito, communist dictator of Yugoslavia, to sixteen years of forced labor, on the score of political activity against the State.  At this writing he is still in prison, despite the pleas and protests of millions, literally, of those who know him not as a politician but as a saintly humanitarian, the indomitable palladium of all that is best in Croatian culture.

Stepanic fought as a youth in the Austrian-Hungarian Army.  He was twice decorated by his government for valor on the Italian front.  As a Second Lieutenant on the Salonika Front, he was awarded the highest Yugoslav military decoration.
