(Manila)Moslem extremists have burnt down a Christian village in the vicinity of the city of Mang (Mindanao). According to current information there have been no dead. The entire population must in any case leave their homes and is homeless. Sources at the Philippine Army have laid the blame upon Ameril Umbra Kato, the earlier Chief of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). He is building up a new army for the battle to promote the Islamic State of Mindanao.
Yesterday Eid Kabalu, the speaker of the MILF, explained taht the Islamic group had nothing to do with the attack. "We were not involved in this act. The village was burned because of a conflict between Christians and Muslims, says Kabalu.
Today there has been another talk between the government of the Philippines and the MILF in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. Experts believe that divisions between the MILF and the government have widened and endangered the dialog. It is feared this will mean further conflicts between the Islamic Rebels and the military.
