What the ___ happened to Arturo Vasquez?

He used to be a reliable traditionalist Catholic, before it was cool to be one.  The way he would go after Mark Shea, Scott Hahn, and Fr. Dwight Longenecker was quite admirable and very clever.

What is he doing now?

Arturo's blog is here
Is this a classic case of Perenialism of which even Dr. John Rao was accused?   Those of us who have been on traditionalist mailing lists for a while probably recall Larry's Books.  Fifteen to twenty years ago, he was selling a strange mix of books on topics pertaining to Naziism, German Militaria, Hinduism, and Traditional Catholicism.

Arturo became a Communist. He tried to invent a Catholicism he could enjoy aesthetically in Mexican Folk Religion. Maybe real Mexicans ruined it for him?

He had a child die I believe.

He never left Communism behind.

Kid died

His faith was probably dead before that happened.

Son died. Baby. In his arms, I think. Maybe. He wrote about it once.

That is the strangest religion blog I have ever skimmed. Why isn’t he writing for Patheos?

If you want something in the way of really weird, try Zuhlsdorf's blog and he's got the scam down to a fine art too.

I don’t think Arturo was scamming.

Looks that he has converted to Hinduism.

Sadly, Zuhlsdorf is another scam artist dressed in a biretta. Review his blog to see how he promotes Acton Institute and Father Robert Sirico. A quick search on Robert Sirico's background will leave you speechless.
Very sophisticated con artists who claim to love the Latin Mass while pulling in the $$$.

Dead baby, dead faith. Sounds like a good blog post title. Also isn't the biggest scam artist of them all right now Taylor Marshall? How does he get so rich? Also, did you ever do anything on his Pachamama scam?
