Feast of the Holy Innocents

INTROIT Ps. 8:3
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings, O God, You have fashioned praise because of Your enemies.
Ps. 8:2.
O Lord, our Lord, how glorious is Your name over all the earth!
V. Glory be . . .

Edit: It used to be a day of fasting and penance, but now it passes all but unnoticed in Christendom.  This post is in remembrance of the lost, for all of the innocents trafficked even in the West, or who are murdered in their mother’s wombs, all of the waifs who are swept up by the dark souls who lurk on the roads and streets in lonely places.

Anne Barnhardt ripped this off

This isn’t even close to Barnhardt quality, and she hasn’t even posted yet today.

thank you for posting this, Tancred.

And Happy New Year!

To you and all readers, Gaybriel included.

One more thing: who is that fellow in the banner? I want to say it's a character is a Spanish movie. On the other hand, I want to say it's headmaster Gaybriel at his English public school Christmans pantomime.

"Anne Barnhardt!" Who is this person and why should anyone really care?

You don’t know who Barnhardt is? Why not!?!? Someone thinks it’s funny to ridicule this blog and hers, evidently. I’ve honestly never seen her stealing from this blog. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@Barnum Happy New Year!

That’s Leslie Howard as the Scarlet Pimpernel.

Haven't the foggiest, Nemo 3:53 AM and why should I? There are about 8 Billion people on earth and only a few of them are American bloggers.

Do you know Bishara Abou Issa, a famous Palestinian. If not, why not?

Just a wog.

"Just a wog." Just what the Romans thought when they nailed Jesus.

Tancred said...

That’s what you’d say if he were Catholic.

Thanks, Barnum. I have never read the book or seen the movie, so I am putting that on my list of things to do in 2024. My prayers for the repose of the soul of Baroness Orczy, yet another fine Hungarian. Let's pray in the new year that the horrors of the Revolution not visit here.

Point well made, Tucker. In fact Jesus was born a Jew, lived the life of a devout Jew and died a committed Jew.

Congratulations, you get a candy bar.

Judaism since Jaina has been anti-Catholic, therefore Satanic. But the Jews had already declared their enmity to God when Caiphas pronounced his curse.

Thanks for your gay version of history.

BG said...

"Jaina" Who or what is that, Tucker?

If you're going to discuss history, get it right. If you are going to talk about biblical interpretation, go get yourself an advanced degree.

Until then, I advise you to archive your consuming prejudices and ignorance.

No, I’d rather talk about typos and other deeply relevant things you think are important for the “road” scholar to know.

"...No, I’d rather talk about typos... the “road” scholar"

Pathetic, clueless but understandable for a wannabee script writer for Bonker T.

I advise a gander at Chicago Manual of Style, Gaybrielle.

It’s Rhodes Scholar, btw.
