California Prosecuting Churches for Ignoring COVID-19 Policy

By David Martin

The Gospel warned of that time when Christians would be "brought before governors" for their public testimony of Faith, and we see this unfolding in our time. (Matthew 10:18)

Churches in California are now facing thousands of dollars in fines for worshiping in person against Governor Newsom’s COVID-19 lockdown policies, while pizza parlors, liquor stores, and other non-essential forms of business remain in full operation with few restrictions being imposed. Even homosexual bath houses in California are reopening to "aid in economic and cultural recovery."

On April 13, 2020, President Trump wrote on Twitter:

“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government. Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect. It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons. With that being said, the Administration and I are working closely with the Governors, and this will continue. A decision by me, in conjunction with the Governors and input from others, will be made shortly!”

If it is not the decision of governors to open up the states, how much more would this apply to the opening of churches? The opening or closing of churches is outside the state's jurisdiction in virtue of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause [Separation of Church and State] that prevents the state from infringing on the church. While state officials may advise the church, the final decision is with the church.

What we are looking at is unveiled discrimination against religion. Newsom and deep-state Democrats want to prosecute the churches, not those who burn down the churches. They want to muzzle peaceful assembly, not those who publicly rage against America. State officials have decided who may and who may not conduct business.

COVID-19 is simply a tool that globalists are using to shackle America, which is what the "stay home" orders are really about. Keeping people at home is an attempt to "distance" them from patriot gatherings where discussions could give birth to effective plans to stop deep-state “plandemic” designs to lock down society.

Keeping people at home also places them in front of the TV where they are far more subject to media brainwashing about the "new normal" we're supposed to get used to. The enemy knows that when people are out of work and at home they have recourse to the TV as an outlet.

What the enemy does not want is for Americans to be united in prayer and armed with the Gospel, so action is needed from the president that would make pastors immune to state orders to close churches and restrict worship. There is no denying the direct correlation between the closing of churches and the outbreak of violence in America, so it's high time that America drop this fuss over the “pandemic” and get back to church, lest we evolve into a police state.

Romans 13:1-7 1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

2Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.

4For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.

7Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Yet St Paul preached and prayed with his fellow Christians despite Christianity being against the law.
Many Christians were killed by the government for their allegiance to their Lord and disobedience to the government. Seems Paul Romano missed that part of the Acts of the Apostles and the Epistles of St Paul.

An unjust 'law' is not a law. This is persecution and a foretaste of the revolution that if we do not stand up to, will be how we will live in future. So, Newsom releases thousands of criminals to prey on the people but arrests those who worship God. I guess we know who he worships.

Gavin Newsom is a graduate (Redwood hs) of Jesuit Santa Clara University. He was married to Kimbery Guilfoyle from 2001 to 2006. He was married to his present wife in 2008 and they have four children. ----He is 52 years old. Willie Brown, speaker of the California House, gave him his big break in politics as he did for Kamala Harris. He made his money in a wine business venture associated with one of the sons of J. Paul Getty. (source: Wikipedia)

Governor Newson is way out of his league thinking that he can close down our churches and try and tell us how to worship, you know who his master is.We should be allowed our First Amendment rights : Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion! DEC

Re: Paul Romano - Right, so if your local state leader tells you to shoot your brother, euthanize your mother, abort your baby, and fund LGBT with your taxes, you're going to do it, right? And you know where you'd wind up, don't you? In Hell. There is obedience, yes, but there is also false obedience. The rule concerning obedience is that when obedience is going to mean committing a sin or even a fault, one must not obey. For mere man we do not offend, and this applies to errant clergy as well.

Now the state leaders mentioned in the article are not "governing authorities" but agents of Satan. St. Paul in Romans speaks of legitimate "governing authorities" whose ordinances, though civil, are based on Christ, i.e. paying dues, just taxes, registering your car, not parking in a handicap zone, etc., for which reason we must abide by these rulings.

However, the state may not infringe on the Church, i.e. it may not order or even suggest the suspension of Masses, closing of churches, cessation from singing, reception of Communion in the hand, but must stay out of the Church's business. If the state does infringe it is the Church's duty to ignore the state and remember its fidelity to God.

Finally, if the Church obeys legitimate state rulings it is because those are God's rulings upon which the state is founded, e.g. grand theft auto violates "Thou shalt not steal," abortion violates "Thou shalt not kill," etc. There is no such thing as 'the Church obeys the state,' but all obedience is rendered to God. All authority, if it be a true authority, is from God, which is what St. Paul is saying. But people like Gavin Newsom, Andy Cuomo, and Ralph Northam are not authorities but Satan's agents who use their position to undermine legitimate authority.

As for taxes, Jesus said "render to Cesar the things that are Cesar's and to God the things that are God's, But Cesar did not use money for abortion and crime, but basic essentials. Cuidado.

@"Pete Grainger"- Constitutional Law is irrelevant, unless it is a Catholic State, and under Christ the King. Christ as King trumps (no pun intended) the Constitution founded by Masons and Protesters against Christ's True Church, and who they themselves came to power in the name of violence against a British Law which they were humanly subject to. So, the Constitution is illegitimate and be discarded on both counts, human and Divine Law.

@"Paul Romano"-- you don't know the intimate of "David Martin's" conscience. You,at the very least, put yourself publically committing a sin of rash judgement against him in the presense of all of us reading your public accusations.
While you may be critical of his views, you may not judge him as a person. "Any person that says 'stupid'to his brother will have to make an accounting to God one day".

There is good in everything.
Here we have a drastic decline in sacrilegious communions and an acceleration of the decline of the Nervous disOrdo.

Yes, well, Constantine, but the US is NOT a Catholic state and like it or not, the Constitution is what we live with.

I'm very curious as to how Trump will get around Amendments 9 & 10 (knowing full well that they are honored mostly in the breach anyway) and proclaim "opening" of the States.

I'm curious because the idea of Federalism, which enshrines subsidiarity, is something I would rather have than not.

"Dad29" the Catholic State, even if we do not yet have a majority, we can work toward that goal of building, and fighting, to construct a good Catholic State. This should be done now while the Constitution is on its last legs. President Trump may win, but in the long run, it will turn out to be a Pyrrhic victory if the Constituion is not replaced, and a new Constitution fills in the gaps with Catholic Morality. Because humanly speaking, as long as we allow nonCatholics to disrespect Catholic values in lawmaking, and as long as we allow nonCatholics hostile to Catholic values to hold politically, economically and socially influential positions in government; As long as these nonCatholics vote, publically assemble, publish and especially be allowed to do violence, our current regime cannot function without a dictatorship. Because when you take out Christ the King, the Constitution is backed not by Reason, but by whomever has the greatest predominance of force. I respect your concern for a stable Regime. But it's Catholic or violent. It's too late to still dream of a Constitution as we have known it.

So they should be dis-enfranchised? Run out of the country? What?

Or are you suggesting that Catholics should go find a new patch of ground and start over?

Tancred said...

So if it were in our power, you’d oppose the Social Reign of Jesus Christ?

Dad29 said...

No.

The question is whether it IS in our power. Constantine seems to think so; I have some questions.

Totally agree; however, the Constitution is still useful for now.

In other words, you’d prefer it weren’t attempted or considered.

Exactly WHAT should be "attempted," Tancred? Revolution?

Lay it out for us.
