Metuchen Bishop Persecutes Catholic Teacher

Edit: a Catholic teacher has been fired from her job for saying uncontroversial, Catholic things that are nevertheless a scandal to the Bishop.

We'd encourage all of you to muster as much indignation and respect as you can and denounce this disgrace. Thanks.

Here's the letter from the Bishop, attempting to justify his act:

March 20 at 5:46pm ·
Bishop Bootkoski's statement on status of teacher at Immaculata High School, Somerville

20 Mar 2015

My dear brothers and sisters,

We are a compassionate Catholic community committed to treating our students, faculty and parishioners with respect. We have never wavered from our traditional Catholic teachings.

To that end we need to correct some misstatements with regard to the teacher in question.

The teacher’s comments were disturbing and do not reflect the Church’s teachings of acceptance. However, she has never been terminated, as some media outlets have reported. She has been put on administrative leave. There has been no interruption in her pay and benefits.

Pope Francis reminds us that we are to accept all of our brethren. We must ensure that our educators steer away from harsh and judgmental statements that can alienate and divide us.

We regret that certain individuals and groups are using inaccurate media reports to push their own agendas. [The only agenda we see at work here is a modernist one on the part of Your Lordship.]

Seems like there's a link between Butkowski's behavior and Dolan's.

What are the details on what this woman said specifically? I have heard it was supporting Catholic morality, but does anybody know the precise issue?

A new principal will take the reins at Immaculata High School as the Diocese of Metuchen attempts to deal with the third sex scandal in two decades at the high school.

The diocese announced this week that Sister Mary E. Smith, president of St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, would take over in July for current Principal Sister Regina Havens.

In February, Monsignor Seamus Brennan, Immaculate Conception Parish pastor and director of the high school, appointed retired United States District Judge Garrett Brown Jr. to lead a committee evaluating the school’s student safety and security polices and procedures.

The move followed the arrest in December 2011 of Patrick Lott, a former volunteer football coach and team videographer, accused of having installed a video camera in the boy’s shower room. The county Prosecutor’s Office investigation continues.

Havens has been principal at Immaculata for six years. In announcing her replacement this week, the diocese said that Havens’ reassignment was “pending.”

The Lott scandal is the third involving volunteers or teachers at Immaculata in the past 23 years.

In 1989, marching band instructor William Thompson was dismissed after he was accused of sexual involvement with a female student. In 2007, he was sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of having sex with female Somerville High School students.

Girls basketball and lacrosse coach Pam Balogh resigned from Immaculata in 2005 after more than a decade at the school. She was convicted a year later of having had sex with one of her players in 2004. She was a coach at North Hunterdon High School at the time of her conviction.

Panel recommends Immaculata High School install shower curtains in wake of secret videotaping scandal
scandal
An independent committee has recommended that Immaculata High School, stung by a recent scandal in which boys allegedly were videotaped taking showers, set up shower curtains and prevent students and staff from meeting alone. ...The panel not only urged eliminating private meetings between students and adults, but it also recommended the school appoint a "safe environment coordinator" to ensure that child-safety procedures are obeyed. Changes to the school building were also recommended, such as the addition of windows to rooms with barriers that block a person’s view inside. If that’s not possible, adults should not meet with students in those rooms, the committee said. ...Monsignor Seamus Brennan, who oversees the Roman Catholic school for the Diocese of Metuchen, couldn’t be reached immediately for comment, but he told Immaculata parents in a letter this week the report contained "no big surprises."

The 55-year-old Lott, who was an assistant principal at Bernardsville Middle School, faces a 91-count indictment that accuses him of filming the students between January 2008 and December 2011. Authorities allege Lott recorded 29 boys during that time, with 15 of them being underage.

During the review of the seized files, detectives found several videos of nude teenagers showering in the Immaculata High School boys’ communal shower area, according authorities. Nine of the teenagers identified in the videos are currently under the age of sixteen. Detectives also found the area where a camera had been secretly installed for video recording. The videos were recorded for nearly three years, starting in January 2008, authorities said.

This is petition link: "Mrs Jannuzzi's facebook is a religious curtain covering hateful message...The homophobic and short-sighted posts are disturbing and degrading...This kind of behavior needs to be stopped. There is a line between believing in God and professing anti-homosexual sentiment to the public."

Guess students can't handle logical arguments no more than
Nazi porno baby killing feminists like 68-year old Susan Sarandon w/her half her age man-toy and her fake boob topless pics all over the internet.

She was in Maryland campaigning for gay marriage -- then our religious freedom wouldn't be affected (ha ha ha):

"Robinson said his goal isn't to get Januzzi fired. But he does want the school to acknowledge the problem and promote awareness against hate speech in the future. "She's entitled to her opinion as a person," he said, "but it shouldn't be accessible for her students to read that stuff.""

Pornography and obscenity are free speech. But teacher's opinion needs censoring -- unless it's in favor of vile obscenity and perversion. SHUT UP or be fired!

At the same time, a south jersey English teacher was arrested criminally involving students. After he was arrested , he is still receiving his pay. Where was Susan Sarandon to comment on this obvious hatred and filth towards children?

A long-time teacher at a Catholic school in New Jersey has been suspended over comments made about homosexuality on her personal Facebook page.

The drumbeat to punish her began with former students, including a reality TV cast member and the nephew of Susan Sarandon.

Patricia Jannuzzi teaches at the Immaculata School, the parish school of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, New Jersey. Her trouble started when she responded to something LGBT provocateur Dan Savage said to Dr. Ben Carson: “Being gay is a choice. Prove it. Suck my dick,” after Dr. Carson said being gay was a choice.

Jannuzzi linked to the story on her personal Facebook page and wrote:

See this is the agenda…one minute they argue that hey (sic) are born this way and it is not a choice to get 14th amendment rights equal protection…bologna…which was carved for permanent characteristics..unchangeable characteristics such as race and disability..but once they in (sic) the 14th amendment they will argue everyone should be able to choose being they (sic) gay or lesbian lifestyle…in other words they want to reengineer western civ into a slow extinction We need healthy families with a mother and a father for the sake of children and humanity!!!!

Tom Robinson, a 2001 graduate of Immaculata, started a petition calling Jannuzzi’s comments “hate speech” and “homophobic and short-sighted… disturbing and degrading” and “demanding that hate speech is eradicated for our Immaculata Family.”

Greg Bennett, who is gay and had Jannuzzi as a teacher in 2004, asked his 165,000 Twitter followers to sign Robinson’s petition. Bennett, a former cast member of Real Housewives of New Jersey, called Jannuzzi a “nightmare dumpster human.” Bennett also took umbrage at Jannuzzi’s Facebook call to “close the borders.”

Susan Sarandon even got involved, sharing a letter her gay nephew sent to his former teacher Jannuzzi: “I am certain that the pope himself would take issue with your extreme point of view on homosexuality.” Sarandon wrote on her Facebook page, “High School is a tough time anyway….students don’t need teachers making it even more difficult.”

At first all the school did was order Jannuzzi to take her Facebook page down. They also “investigated” that comments like hers were not a part of her “curriculum.” Two days later the school announced Jannuzzi had been suspended. The letter, from the Monsignor who runs the school, insists the school adheres to the teachings of the Church on “the sanctity of marriage” but “follow Jesus Christ in welcoming all people” except Jannuzzi and those like her of course.

Jannuzzi has worked in various roles for Immaculate Conception Church for going on 30 years. Besides teaching in the school, she also heads the parish office of the New Evangelization, Stewardship and Adult Faith Formation. She also heads something called the St. Thomas More Apostolate “to help insure that our laws are infused with Christian morals and virtues” specifically “life, religious freedom, family life, and moral/ethical issues.”

One graduate who is supportive of Jannuzzi tells Breitbart News, “The bottom line is that she’s been working at the parish and at the school for over 30 years. And they are now shocked, shocked that she is active and vocal on Catholic moral issues.”

Professor Robert George of Princeton, a noted defender of man-woman marriage and religious freedom, tells Breitbart News:

As Matthew Franck has noted, Pope Benedict has said that undermining marriage as the union of Man and woman harms human dignity and “threatens humanity itself.”

Pope Francis has said that same-sex marriage cones from “the father of lies”– the devil.

Are they disqualified from teaching or preaching at Immaculata?

What an irony’–and disgrace—that in the name of inclusion a faithful Catholic woman is being thrown by Catholic school officials to a mob led by Susan Sarandon and an actor on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

So far Jannuizzi has remained silent on the issue.
