Homo-Soho Mass is Over in UK

Here's from Damian Thompson it's a big story. Remember when we reported about this, that archbishop Muller as going to fix this? But guess what? It's to be replaced by a TLM. Here it is:

A big story has just broken on the Catholic Herald website:
Archbishop Vincent Nichols of Westminster has announced that Masses in Soho organised for people with same-sex attraction are to end.
He also revealed that the church where the Masses took place will be given to the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
The fortnightly “Soho Masses” at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Warwick Street were established by the diocese almost six years ago. They were intended to be “particularly welcoming to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered Catholics, their parents, friends and families”.

God bless Archbishop Nichols! However, after reading Damian's article and the article at Catholic Herald UK, I don't see where it says that the Traditional Latin Mass is replacing the "gay" Mass. Just that the Ordinariate will be taking over the care of the Church.

The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham is the group of ex-Anglicans who have been processed into the church under their own ordinary. A fine body of men they are, and great custodians of the church at Warwick Street. But they don't generally use the TLM as their standard rite - they tend to use the NOM, but done well ...

Of course, some of us might wonder when the diocese of Westminster is going to provide a major church in central London to the custody and use of one of the traditionalist fraternities, like the FSSP or ICK ... is hell due to freeze over this year?

I don't wish to rain on everybody's parade but for me I will greet this news with extreme reserve. Early indications are that Nichols has merely re-shuffled the "homo mass" to another location, at a different time of day. I guess what makes me want to exercise caution here is the reaction of the poof crowd: they don't seem terribly upset about it and are in fact gloating a bit that now they have been given a larger Church in Farm Street.

Let's wait for further developments before opening the champagne. Nichols is a long-time snake-in-the-grass and one should never underestimate his penchant for chicanery.

I agree with aged parent. I'm bewildered as to why so many of the quite doctrinaire are speaking as though a long awaited correction has finally happened when as Aged parent said the scandal has just been moved down the way.
