Father Nicholas Gruner Addresses European Parliament Concerning Consecration of Russia

Edit: a kind reader just sent us this link.

PRESS RELEASE

FATHER NICHOLAS GRUNER and CHRISTOPHER A. FERRARA INTERVENE AT EUROPEAN UNION PARLIAMENT CONCERNING CONSECRATION OF RUSSIA

October 24, 2012

Strasbourg, October 24, 2012 — On October 23, 2012 Father Nicholas Gruner of the Fatima Center in Canada and Catholic attorney and author Christopher A. Ferrara of the United States appeared at the headquarters of the EU in Strasbourg, France to speak in support of a motion for a declaration by the EU Parliament calling upon Pope Benedict XVI to carry out the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The motion is being sponsored by two members of the Parliament of the European Union, the Honorable Mario Borghezio and the Honorable Lorenzo Fontana, who invited Father Gruner and Mr. Ferrara to speak in its support at the time of its official introduction.

The motion refers to the threat of "great danger at the present time to world peace and the serenity of all European peoples" and notes that "the Blessed Virgin Mary has promised a long period of prosperity and peace, if and only if, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia in a solemn and public manner, as precisely specified by Her in the Message of Fatima."

The motion provides for a declaration by the EU Parliament formally requesting that "His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI... fulfill the will of the Queen of Heaven" by performing the Consecration in order to address European and world problems.

Speaking before the international press corps in the press hall of the EU Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg, Father Gruner and Mr. Ferrara made presentations in support of the measure, including a discussion of the content, undeniable authenticity, and absolute urgency of the Fatima Message for the Church and humanity at large. They were introduced by MPs, Borghezio and Fontana, who appeared with them at the press conference.

"This was a God-given opportunity to advance the cause of Our Lady of Fatima in a forum whose deliberations will have considerable impact at the Vatican. MEPs. Borghezio and Fontana are to be commended for their courageous defense of the Blessed Virgin before a hostile world. I pray the motion passes and the EU Parliament calls upon the Pope to do his duty," said Father Gruner.

"I believe we succeeded in making a case for the Consecration of Russia that would appeal even to rational non-believers, who have nothing to lose by voting in favor this measure," said Mr. Ferrara.

The motion has been lodged with the EU Parliament as an official legislative document and will become part of the public record of EU proceedings. It has already attracted the signatures of a growing number of additional sponsors in the Parliament, including members from Italy, Austria and Ireland.

  1. I know little-to-nothing about Mr Ferrara, but I know Father Gruner very well. He is a man who does his fair share of grand-standing, and he enjoys appearing in the limelight a bit too much if you ask me. So this kind of a production is very much right up his alley. But I may be forgiven if I feel it wont amount to much.

This story is interesting if nothing else.

  2. No. It's not "grandstanding" to actually DO something within one's means about something perceived to be actually true. The problem with you "oh-so-balanced", "oh-so-even-handed" armchair types is you're all talk...usually in the form of criticism of those who believe something and act on it. Gruner is one of the few out there who takes Fatima seriously; believes that The Blessed Virgin came, made certain specific requests...and can back up this belief with massive documentation. Thank God somebody does.

  3. Our Lady of Fatima pray for us.October 25, 2012 at 5:48 PM

AWESOME. These men deserve so much credit and our gratitude for doing what we cannot. Though it is our job to pray for the Consecration and for those Catholic warriors like Fr. Gruner and Chris Ferarra. As well as those under the infuence of Satan who deny and suppress the Message of Fatima and those who make it their life's mission to vilify the faithful Catholics who DO do something about it.

To the "grandstanding" commenter. You need to think about the stupidity and maliciousness of your sinful lie and ask yourself why you dogged this story in order to post it. You have a bit of the devil in you. Get rid of it.

  4. Fr Gruner is not a priest in good standing, according to the Holy See, and does not merit much attention. Basically his claim is that in regards to the third secret and the consecration of Russia, two Popes (one a Blessed) and Sr Lucia herself are liars. There is a legitimate Church approved group (an international public association of the faithful I believe) the World Apostolate of Fatima which clearly does not agree with Fr Gruner. His self promotion is unfortunate. The Russian Orthodox do not acknowledge the Pope as such, do not acknowledge the Catholic Church as "the" Church, and presumably do not care if the Catholic Church says Fr Gruner is suspended.

  5. Consecrate Russia NOWOctober 25, 2012 at 6:43 PM

You mean the Holy See who is the Seat of the Antichrist? Your "blessed" is a FALSE blessed. Do your homework. Mickey Mouse will be a saint before you "blessed" REGARDLESS of how these Roman apostates try to ram it down our throats. Your Holy See spews heresies that were over and over condemned by AUTHENTICALLY CANONIZED and HOLY popes. Pull your head out. Or get get.

    1. I agree with everything you said. I just wish people stop wasting time with anti-pope Francis I to consecrate anything. Pope Benedict XVI has to have the guts to do the consecration. Even if the faggots in the Vatican threaten him.

    2. Even a bad pope is still a pope. But an anti-pope is NOT a pope even if he acts like a "nice" pope.

  6. Ugh...How'd I get into this...? 1. " Schmenz" is not stupid; just lazy. 2. Fr. Gruner's canonical standing with Rome is fine - look it up, if you're actually honestly interested. He has friends there and he has enemies there (some powerful and embarrased ones, at that) like every other priest, bishop or lay worker. 3. The last four Popes were as legitimately Popes as Pius XII. They just happened to have been rotten ones.

  7. Gruner is an incardinated priest with a bishop. What more do you need?

  8. I'm at a loss as to how Father could be either self-promoting or "not in good standing with the Holy See. I've always found him to be very humble and simple and incardinated in the Holy See.

  9. Gruner's a misleader of the Flock of Jesus. Back in the 1980's I remember our Priest reading the Pope's proclamation at the Consecration Mass concelebrated by our Bishop.

  10. Goodness. I seem to have inordinately offended a number of people here with my remarks about a man who, allow me to say again, I know very well.

I recognize that he is a priest but, no, I am not competent to judge his canonical status, which I leave to others. So I do not speculate on any of that. As to his methods, however, I can speculate, and let us just say that he, like the of us, needs prayers.

    1. I don't see what's wrong with his methods. He's been an Apostle of Fatima for many years much to the embarrassment and chagrin of less Catholic prelates and men in charge. I'm sure he has failings, don't we all, but he's been terribly effective. Who can say as much?

    2. Our Lady of Fatima wants The Pope -- NOT the anti pope, to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart. Pope Benedict XI is still alive .

    3. I mean Pope Benedict XVI.
