Medjugorje Commission Meets at Vatican

The New Vatican Information Service looks promising.

And a very large commission is meeting to study the very controversial phenomenon of Medjugorje, condemned by its local ordinary. There shouldn't be much doubt about the outcome. Perhaps the miraculous events surrounding this prodigee can be attributed to the piety of the pilgrims and the graces of the pre-existing site, falsely attributed to this penurious deception.

I hope it doesn't take them too long to officially pronounce that place condemned.

You will be surprised at the Vatican's final decision. After all, if this was a clear case of deception, the Vatican would have supported the local Bishop long ago. But the local Bishop is not even on the commision! What does that say about their opinion of his judgement in this matter? The truth is the local Bishop has not tended to the pastoral needs of the millions of pilgrims who travel every year to Medjugorje. This lack of attention to the faithful is of deep concern to the Vatican.
