MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Two men walking out of a MinneapolisCatholic church on Sunday morning were attacked and robbed by a group of as many as eight men, police say.

What we know:
Police responded shortly after 8 a.m. to a report of a robbery outside St. Joan of Arc Catholic church. The church is located on 3rd Avenue South near East 46th Street in the Regina neighborhood. Morning mass at the church is scheduled to begin at 7:45 a.m. and was likely underway when the attack happened.
Officers learned two men were walking from the church when a group of seven to eight men jumped out of two gray vehicles and swarmed them.
Police say one man was injured when he was pushed to the ground while the other man was hurt when he ducked to avoid a thrown object.
Local perspective:
Officers said the group robbed the man who was pushed to the ground, then took off in two vehicles.
Minneapolis police searched the area for the suspects, but no arrests have been made yet.
The victims were evaluated at the scene and opted to take private transportation to the hospital.

That church was the nearest “Catholic” parish to my home on Elliot ave south in the early 90s. I remember they invited Gloria Steinem to speak. I went once and after that I drove to St Agnes in St Paul when Monsignor Schuler was there. Sounds like things have deteriorated considerably.

Then, at least as Barnum recalls, MTM lived in a flat on St. Paul; Tourists used to block the streets visiting it.
Ol' Barnum happened to be in the square in Krakow this evening and had the pleasure of watching a muzzie strutting in front of three wives. I was surprised that none of the locals confronted the invader. But then neither did ol' Barnum. No one tried to talk to the wives in tow. Mary Tyler Moore really had a penthouse apartment in Cedar Square development back in the 70s. She didn’t live there long if at all, and the development, which was meant for affluent young professionals working downtown, was an utter failure and it was turned into subsidized housing.
The house where the fictional Mary lived was supposed to be accessible to a secretary working at a television station in Minneapolis. It’s in Kenwoood, actually, an affluent neighborhood with many stately homes, where there is almost no rental property even now.
Actually, the owner of the original home in Kenwood feature in the Mary Tyler Moore Show was tired of people driving by their palacial home, so the fictional Mary was moved more appropriately to Cedar Village. Nobody, no matter how much they believed in the mytholgy of the show, wants to make treks to see THAT.
Still, I do recall seeing ads for Cedar Square obviously aimed at young professionals, featuring the beautiful actress enjoying the Minneapolis skyline from a spacious and modern penthouse.
Nowadays, the liberal hegemony insists that this failed 15 minute city was supposed to house a wide variety of different social classes, and is totally safe, but ultimately, nobody wanted to live near the subsidies receiving people who were moved in as part of the plan, so now the place is a giant dingy and run-down Banielou filled with violent warring gangs of Somali Muslims. (All thus despise the 135 million dollar renovation) With the aforementioned demographics change (invasion), the authorities also mendaciously assure us that the neighborhood is nowadays a LOT safer. We don’t know what kind of world they live in, but I suspect most of them don’t live in Riverside.

That’s always been a borderline hood. The Angelus convalescent home was often broken into by black junkies who even attacked one of the CNAs one night by pistol whipping her.
You’d think it was an idyllic transitional neighborhood for young families moving up. Ironically, they might be safer in Frogtown by St. Agnes!
And thirdly, Barnum! We never said the two men leaving were Nancy boys, Probabaly elderly freeze dried boomers. Despite the attendance by affluent and accomplished boomers, there aren’t a lot of younger people attending, but there are “cute” coupled inverts and misfits of varying ages and shapes.
