Cardinal Brandmüller Demands That Pope Answers Dubia

[Cathcon] Last year, four cardinals had made public their criticism of the Pope with their "Dubia". For this they learned a great deal of counter-criticism. One of them now defends the requests to Francis.

The German Cardinal Walter Brandmüller defended the "Dubia", which he co-wrote, to Pope Francis. He understood the criticism that had triggered the publication of the questions. But the step was "only taken after a waiting for an answer", he said in the interview of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" (Saturday). "And especially with regard to the fact that many believers have had the same questions and are waiting for an answer," the Cardinal explained.

"What do you mean, what phone calls, letters, inquiries we get?", Brandmüller continued. "They also say," Why do you not do anything, you Cardinals ? "We finally made an oath of office and are by office advisers to the Pope." They had asked for an audience, but they also did not receive an answer on this, the 88-year-old said.

  1. Since Cardinal Burke has backed down possibly from fear. Prayers, many prayers are in order for Cardinal Walter Brandmüller.

  2. He can complain until he is blue in the face. Francis will not answer.

  3. There is a report today on "One Peter Five" about a secret liturgical committee to design a new liturgical Mass in which transubstantiation is not a primary consideration.

    1. This 'new Ecumenical Mass' has been in the works behind closed doors for a long time now. I believe Cardinal Sarah is in their way, so the reason he is being badgered to step down. 1P5 has the story. And yes, the lay liturgist, Andrea Grillo (who is part of the Office of Divine Worship, and hates Sarah btw) has said: "Transubstantiation is not a dogma, and as an explanation of the Eucharist, it has its limits. For example it contradicts metaphysics." The information on this 'new Liturgy' is coming more and more to the forefront and I do believe Bergoglio is anxious to put this into practice.

    2. But, hard as they try, I'm not quite sure how they would actually put this into play. Think about it....what protestant is going to want to participate in an 'Ecumenical Liturgy' with Catholics??

    3. They're building a 'counter church...the ape of the Church'; the one that +Fulton Sheen warned about.

". . . The third temptation in which Satan asked Christ to adore him and all the kingdoms of the world would be His, will become the temptation to have a new religion without a Cross, a liturgy without a world to come, a religion to destroy a religion, or a politics which is a religion — one that renders unto Caesar even the things that are God’s.

In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one: he will not believe in God. Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect. He will set up a counterchurch which will be the ape of the Church, because he, the Devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the Antichrist that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. . . "

  4. And what if Bergolio refuses? Are they going to "formally correct" him? Big deal.

  5. With all due respect ++Brandmuller, it is the formal fraternal correction we are presently awaiting. The one that ++Burke said PF would be obliged to answer. Has this been made privately perhaps, but ignored? Nonetheless we would like to know if Truth is greater than numbers after all.

  6. And where are the rest of the Cardinals? Where is the Holy Ghost? Where is our Lady of Fatima?

    1. Don't loose hope Brian W!! This has all been prophesied. Hang on to Our Lady of Fatima!! Consecrate yourself to her! Pray the Rosary and keep the true faith!! She will indeed crush his head in the end, but Our Lord is allowing all this to come to a head first. Hang on it's going to be a rough ride!!

  7. Don't look to those losers(the Cardinals) that is. Look to the faithful laity, who I think will in short order bring Francis and company down.
Reason is, did ya' hear the good news that a big new building filled with professors and schollars who signed the Fraternal Correction of a.h.Pope Francis will open as the new John Paul II Institute for Life and the Family, basically continuing the great work the former Prontifical Institute for Life did before Francis trashed the place, dismissed the orthodox and faithful staff, brought in his own thugs and forced his agenda on the place. Now in retaliation, this new facility has been bought in Rome (its an impressive place), and will continue promoting and teaching traditional Catholic teachings on human life and the family. Basically, very many scholars (Professor Joseph Siefert will be the new president/head of the institute) who are traditional Catholics in opposition to Francis are on staff, and the list is growing. It Rome it is seen as a very serious challenge, and a slap in the face to Pope Francis. He must be having a temper-tantrum meltdown. Somebody quick, rush him some matte tea for him to guzzle to calm his nerves.
F.U. Francis. You had it coming and deserve this, and much more of the same kind which is coming your way before long.

    1. They will be threatened and then 'excommunicated' by an antipope. That could be the spiritual 'shot heard round the world; the schism will be visibly manifest.

    2. I cannot imagine which motive Francis would invent to excommunicate them.
They are not a threat against the catholic Faith.
Anyways, well played, Pr Seifert. The catholic lay people is the new Salt of the Earth, the New Pentecost that will make the Church great again.

    3. insubordination against 'his magesterium'. The Holy Spirit is speaking, and surprising us all, thru him, contradicting the very words of Christ, don'tchaknow.

    4. Nothing Francis has said or done is inspired by or the workings of the Holy Spirit. Rather, it's the workings of someone else, from somewhere else other than Heaven, and other than from God.
There's a growing revolt against Francis and his people in the Vatican, in Rome, in Italy, and in the Church. Despite Cardinal Burkes wimping out on the Correction as a follow-up to the Dubia, the laity are correcting Francis in a way he doesn't like, but is powerless to stop.
What's he gonna do....excommunicate people for being true Catholics? He's tries that and he's done for.
Look at the "canonization" Mass he had for a few of his chosen saints two weeks ago. Time was 6 years ago, and 40-50-60-100 years ago and even longer, St.Peter's Square was packed for ofccasions like this...upwards of 150,000 (though Pius XII brought out the biggest crowds at 500,000 for some of his ceremonies.
How many came to this Bergoglio "canonization" of his hand picked Saints? Less than 30,000 according to the press reports. That's really low.
Shows how much people in Rome and Italy love him. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Not!!

    5. Another explanation for the lower numbers at events like these is that there are enormous numbers of Catholics who have not only ceased Faith practice, they have lost even the remotest interest in stage managed religious ceremonies.
The same plunge in participation rates and increase in apathy and general disgruntlement are evident almost everywhere in the 'developed' countries. I wouldn't conclude much in the big no shows.
