Papal Purge: Bishop Coadjutor Assigned to Traditional Diocese of Albenga-Imperia

Bishop Oliveri Celebrates the Old Rite
(Rome) Pope Francis has found a coadjutor for the Bishop of Albenga-Imperia, Msgr. Mario Oliveri with right of succession to the side. As Bishop Oliveri enjoys good health, the papal decision appears as a disempowerment  without disavowing the ruling bishop entirely through impeachment. It is the indirect, more elegant form of impeachment. The direct form was felt by Bishop Rogelio Livieres of Ciudad del Este. A dismissal with no ifs or buts.
A coadjutor, sometimes with right of succession, is an auxiliary device, such as when an incumbent bishop is no longer in a position to fully exercise his office fully for health reasons.  This form is also utilized to correct undesirable developments in a diocese or to  reconcile  a successor fluidly without drastically making  visible a public break.

Heavy State of Tradition in the World and Especially in the Church

No this is occuring in the diocese of Albenga-Imperia Riviera.  The traditional alignment of Bishop Oliveri is undesirable. A minority of the diocesan clergy made fierce resistance to the renewal of the diocese in the Catholic faith, which Bishop Oliveri, by replacing   folk altars in churches with appropriate high altars,  promoting the sacrament of penance, the traditional Rite, establishing old ritual communities, and the unabbreviated preaching the doctrine. Majorities play no role in the church, but it should be noted that the majority of the clergy followed this bishop. The diocese has far and wide the highest number of seminarians who are trained in both forms of the Roman Rite.
But then, Pope Francis took the Chair of Peter and quickly found someone in Liguria to afford the opportunity to get rid of the bishop. They quickly sought the anti-clerical media. The liberal daily, Secolo XIX took over the role of the battering ram. Because of their attitude which is critical of the Church they have already offered skirmish in the past few years  with the bishop. That it was seriously meant, with the intention  to drive Bishop Oliveri from office, became clear  a few days ago even as the German media jumped straight into slander mode.

Standardized Strategy of Slander Against Faithful Church Representatives

The ingredients have long been standardized in the case of orthodox bishops. The spreading of rumors, outraged mention of unproven allegations. There are always enough people who accept any slander willingly.
Secolo XIX has been well informed about from Church circles by the end of October 2014, announced the appointment of a Coadjutor for Albenga-Imperia. A provisional administration of the diocese and disempowerment of the officiating bishop, which was welcomed by the newspaper. Rome was silent. Startled devout Catholics were mocked as seeing "ghosts" and having, attempting to raise and lift  a "blind" antipathy against the reigning pope.
But the rumor was not a rumor. On January 10, Pope Francis, the previous bishop of Pitigliano-Sovana-Orbetello, Msgr. Guglielmo Borghetti has been sent to the diocese of Albenga-Imperia as Coadjutor with right of succession.

Why the Fear of Tradition?

Two things would appear from the new "purging": Pope Francis applies "tolerance and compassion shown demonstratively"  to everyone, but not for traditional Catholics, so says Secretum meum mihi . Against them he cherishes a "deep-seated inner aversion".  Second, it seems the pope can not bear that bishops have full seminaries and numerous priestly vocations, as soon as they turn to the tradition. Tradition was tolerated only within the separate, manageable and controllable enclosure of "Ecclesia Dei".   But where  tradition leaves this enclosure and radiates into the new ritual Church, they will fight relentlessly as the treatment of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Bishop Livieres and now Bishop Oliveri show.
"Why are even high church officials, including the Pope, so afraid of  tradition? Why don't they exercise their proverbial cherished tolerance? Is it because it holds up the mirror to them and thus call into question their own life's work and understanding of the Church? On closer examination, even brings them to falter?" asks Secretum meum mihi.  Perhaps because the crisis of vocations and all related implications surrounding the priesthood, Holy  Orders, Sacrament of Penance and the Eucharist, including the considerations and plans for the approval of viri probati (priests who left and are now married), the abolition of celibacy, the admission of women to the diaconate and priesthood could collapse within itself?
On December 22, Pope Francis listed 15 "diseases"  in his Christmas message to the Roman Curia, on which  they suffer. "The action against the small Ligurian diocese has confirmed at least ten  of the fifteen pathologies mentioned by Pope Francis," said Traditio Catholica . But in this case it is the Pope, who seems to have a short memory.
Unlike Bishop Livieres of Paraguay, Bishop Oliveri is taking the papal humiliation in silence, as is common in Europe. Bishop Livieres had been ordered to Rome, but he had learned from the media of his deposition. In vain he had asked the Pope for an audience. But the Pope granted him neither an audience yet another opportunity to defend himself against the complaints. Then the bishop had informed the media that he had "naturally accepted the decision" of the Pope, but that the Pope would be "responsible" before God for his decision. Bishop Livieres has been also active since then in evangelization, but without a diocese.

  1. Why the fear of Tradition? Because that alone is Catholic and only She is the extension of Christ earth.

Hate Jesus, hate His Church, hate those who continue His teaching. Same lying, murderous persecutors now as the first time. Simple enough.

    1. Because they want the catholic church to be deleted to rebuild a new one, as the Great Architect has fixed, it won't take a long time to have the NWO church, one, for all and all for one....ever read The master of the world? Read it, is very instructive.

The Novus Ordo and Traditional Catholicism are, practically speaking, two different churches. The Novus Ordo itself is divided in a house of schism; how can the "Neocatechumenal Way" be equally as Catholic as "We Are Church"? How can a "Mass in the Charismatic Tradition" be equally as Catholic as a Latin Novus Ordo Mass said by the Oratorians? How can the FFI be equally as Catholic as the LCWR?

The biggest problem is that Traditionalists have a strong claim to orthodoxy, this gives Traditionalists credibility and authority. NeoCatholics want to be that voice of credibility and authority, but what is orthodoxy keeps on changing, these changes makes them feel insecure so they have to constantly insult and calumniate Traditionalists because they are a threat to the power (and book sale $$$) they want to hold.

    2. By wishing him death you essentially become unified with the liberal modernists you hate. These anti-Catholic modernists wish death upon Traditional-leaning prelates and now you do the same as the liberal barbarians do.

"You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you..."

How would Jesus Christ want His people to approach Francis?

Francis considers Traditionalists his enemies, thus we must love him.
Francis hates Traditionalist Catholics, thus we must do good for him.
Francis persecutes Traditional Catholics, Francis spreads lies and openly insults Traditionalists in his speeches. There's only one thing Traditionalists can do in these situations, pray for Francis.

Whenever we hear news of persecution of Traditionalists, pray for Francis.
Whenever another entry is made into the "Pope Francis Little Book of Insults", pray for Francis.
Whenever he spreads lies about Traditionalists, pray for Francis.
Whenever he attacks Traditions of Holy Mother Church, pray for Francis.

I guess this is why St. Paul told us to pray without ceasing...

    4. Tell it to God, Anon 10:46...He is the primary author of Psalm 109, which can certainly be applied to francis, who is the enemy of Catholicism as shown by his own words and actions.

Deal with verse 8....it is a legitimate prayer....no one is praying for his torture, or pain, or damnation; just a blessed relief from the poison he keeps feeding God's flock. However God wishes to have it done, may we be spared anymore rape of Christ's Bride by this man and his capos.

Lord spare us from BAD shepherds who mock your religion by their heterodoxy and pride...may their days be few, and may another their office take.

    1. Good idea Padraig, right up until the point where they join back to Rome. It's inevitable, why? nobody knows, probably money and titles. Then we'll all be looking for an independent traditional Church. Probably won't be enough time for any of ti though, 2017 is chastisement time

    2. Anon, I'd recommend going on an Ignatian Retreat. The things you are saying sound like they're coming out of the mouth of a person made irrational from demonic influences.

To think the FSSPX is going to "join back to Rome" is ludicrous. From a completely rational and non-emotional point of view, there's not a snowballs chance in hell the FSSPX is getting regularized anytime soon. The doctrinal differences concerning Ecumenism and Religious Liberty are irreconcilable, even the most conservative Novus Ordo theologian puts Ecumenism on the same level as the Nicene Creed, at least in a practical sense. At most the priests of the FSSPX might have their "suspensions" lifted, but nothing more than that.

These rumors and attacks on FSSPX are works of the devil, they've been around for almost two decades now. You still find internet articles from ~2000 saying that Bishop Fellay is going to sell out the Society to Ratzinger in exchange for a red cap. These gossip mongers said it would happen within a few years, it's been 15 years since those rumors first surfaced and the Vatican and the FSSPX still haven't made any progress on doctrinal discussions.

And then there are those rumors that the FSSPX is gonna start saying the Novus Ordo Mass, Illuminati conspiracy theories, Fr. Pfeiffer saying that Benedict XVI offers child sacrifices to Satan... it just keeps going on and on.

Again, I'd strongly recommend going on an Ignatian Retreat to clear your mind from the fog and the magnetic repulsions caused by Satan. Any rational person with ears to hear and eyes to see can judge the fruits of the "Resistance" movement; it's nothing more than a sensationalist, calumny spreading, angry, divisive, anti-rational, reactionary, conspiratorial-schizophrenic, and Apocalyptic fear mongering movement that you find in many protestant sects and Millenarian movements.

And the most damning thing of all? Those Resistance priests tell their congregations not to go to FSSPX Masses. That's infallible proof that this movement is demonically inspired. According to Bl. Anne Emmerich this era we're living in has the highest demonic infestation ever known to man. The Sacraments are the life blood of Catholics, without them this modern world with all its temptations will kill our souls. We need frequent Communion and confession more than ever in the history of the Catholic Church. For a priest to forbid people from going to a valid Traditional Latin Mass in a time where demons rule the Earth is either Satanic or psychotic. The devil's plan A to destroy Catholics is to remove them from the Sacraments, usually by persecution (e.g. Protestant England) or by sabotage (e.g. Novus Ordo).

Removing a Catholic from the Sacraments is like removing a fish from the water.

    3. "Removing a Catholic from the Sacraments is like removing a fish from the water. "

Anyone attending the N.O. has the sacraments as much as the Lutherans, Anglicans, non-denominationals etc. have the sacraments -- otherwise NO PURPOSE for traditional Catholics! To negotiate (constantly "meet" w/, post their pics in your churches, use their name in your mass (would you use Luther's name in the mass?)) w/those deceiving the flock and pretending like wolves (i.e. Satan) have authority over the Catholic Church is what is crazy and that is what Fellay does.

Imagine negotiating w/drug dealers! No, we ourselves would never deal drugs or administer euthanasia, but these drug dealers/murderers are our bosses and have a right to inspect our schools and churches!

Be careful you yourself are not a tool of Satan.
