Brazilian Bishops' Conference Plays Simon Says in Above Water Choreographed Swimming

  1. Says it all. The leaders of our Church seem to belong to some irrational pseudo-religion. Things just seem to get worse and worse. I thought we'd reached the turning point some time ago, but apparently not. WYD is not recognisable as Catholic. It is farce. The heretics are promoted while the orthodox are banished to an underground church. The aim seems to be to drive people away from the true Faith.

  2. How do you get all of that out of a bad dance number?

  3. No wonder those "dime-a dozen" evangelical "Christians" are gaining in Brazil.
This clip reminds me of a bunch of pre-school children. If it wasn't so sad and pathetic, it would be funny.

  4. Evangelicals are just as ridiculous.

    1. Evangelicals are very much more ridiculous.

  5. Yes, that's who these Bishops and the instigators of this show are trying to copy Pentecostal/Evangelical sects....which makes it even worse.
I think if I was confronted with the choice of either being a Pentecostal "Christian",or having to be Muslim or Buddhist, having experienced and seen all three...I would pick the later rather than the former..because I have met in my work many Muslims and Buddhists who are far more "Christ-like" than evangelicals.

  6. This is I think, one of the least troubling or ridiculous
scenes I've viewed from WYD. It really to me seems very innocent on the part of the young and the Bishops. It is outdoors and I hope I'm not mistaken, seems not to be part of a Mass. It looks like innocent happiness. Just my opinion.
Far more troubling were the performances at The Way of the Cross and Eucharistic Adoration. At Eucharistic Adoration
this was absolutely intrusive. Perhaps Pope Francis and Archbishop Marini regarded them as such.

  7. Some of the Bishops didn't really participate and looked hesitant and or lost. Some seemed to look askance and the ones who did participate kindly and some happily looked very much the amateurs quite not knowing what they were doing.
I mean they didn't look as though they had been practicing. If this is the worst thing Bishops would do there would be nothing to worry about.

  9. I think is somewhat just a part of the Latin America culture. There is a Latin America culture isn't there? Just wait till WYD goes to Africa. Or will it be in South Africa?
I suppose I've seen something rather innocuous in this compared to some real idiocy at this event.
