First Arabic Mass in Rome

  1. Technically it is not called a "Mass" but a "Divine Liturgy". Also I have no idea why this is "news" as such. I mean the Church belongs to the Melkite Greek Catholics who all speak Arabic. Their priests have the option of deciding the language the Gospel is in. This Church has had the Liturgy for quite some time. If I remember correctly when I was there, the Liturgy was in Italian and Arabic

  2. Most people simply aren't as well-informed as you are, don't have the benefit to travel and do not know about the greatness of the Church's patrimony. Part of the purpose of this blog is to demonstrate that, particularly raising awareness of the large and vibrant Catholic Communities which are a testimony to the Universality of the Church and God's mercy.
