Sedevacantist Dimond Brothers up on Racketeering Charges

You'd have to be a daft one indeed not to know what the Diamond Brothers were about, or a liar. It's not like they're very open about being at odds with the Holy See is it? The plaintiff has given them substantial monies even before becoming a member of "Most Holy Family Monastery", so it's very difficult to see how he wouldn't know that they weren't affiliated with the Benedictine Congregation. Not only that, he was contractually obligated to $750,000 dollars if he decided he wanted to quit. Looks like all he's entitled to is the $750,000.

The judge is not going to rule against the Dimonds on this one.

  1. That's a "boatload" of money this postulant gave to this "monastery"...
we don't even get near this issue with anyone, until they make final profession...and then it's their call; Canon Law, you know, of the Roman Catholic Church.
I'd rather have millions of dollars of someone making final profession go to the Missionaries of Charity; ain't gonna "line my pockets"...don't want to go to Hell.
    That's just completely insane...

  2. Indeed, even among approved religious houses, adherence to canon law, to say nothing of credibly believing infallible dogmas, is a formality if not a rarity.

  3. Mhfm is a true monastery. If the court listens to the truth he won't find mhfm guilty.Lets face it the man donated money you can't take back what you donate. Also since when does the state of new york decide what is a Benedictine Monastery. The guy isnt really attacking them for that, its because he changed his religion and feels he donated to heretics.
