Benedict XVI's Criticism: Far From an Example, the German Church is a Black Hole

Benedict XVI's criticism of the worldly German church with the faithful
of a "Trade Union Mentality" because there are "too many" employees
of the church (pictured is Cardinal Marx of the German Bishops'
Conference)
(Rome) "From because good example for the world. The German church is a black hole," was the unflattering judgment of Vaticanist Sandro Magister on the Catholic Church in the Federal Republic of Germany, whose highest representative office is the German Bishops' Conference. The Vatican expert summed up the damning verdict by Benedict XVI. about the German church, which he expresses in the new interview book with Peter Seewald.
In Germany there were some people who have always wanted to destroy him, says Benedict XVI. As an example, the former head of the church was deceitfully accused of anti-semitism by some countrymen when he changed the Good Friday prayer for the Jews.

The interview book, says Magister, was an "accusation" by Benedict XVI. against the German church. He accuses it of being too worldly. He had already hurled charges of worldliness on the 25th September 2011 in Freiburg, and called for a "detachment from the world." Although at that time everyone understood what was meant, an entire church apparatus, including courtiers and minions started to move in order to claim that what was meant what not what was meant, and everything would remain as it is.

"Too many Catholics as Church employees with a Trade Union Mentality"

Secularization is a danger that accompanies the Church constantly. Where it has gone too far, the Church has suffered serious damage in its history. To focus on Germany: The outbreak and even more so, the success of Luther's "Reformation" revolution had largely to do with the secularization [laicization] of the Church and especially with the benefice saturated Prince Archbishop of Mainz, who was at the same time Archbishop of Magdeburg, Elector, Archchancellor of the Empire and Primate Germaniae, in one person, Albrecht of Brandenburg (House of Hohenzollern). By today's standards he would be the President of the German Bishops' Conference .

Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger

In Freiburg in 2011, Benedict XVI did not mention the church tax system by name. In the interview book he does, probably to prevent a renewed "reinterpretation" of his words. Benedict does not criticize the levy in itself because every baptized person is bound by his means  to contribute to the maintenance of the clergy and to provide support, so that the Church can fulfill its apostolic and charitable tasks. However, Benedict criticized the linking of church tax with excommunication. That is, says the former Pope, untenable.
The result of the church tax system is a highly organized Church, but in the - so the downside - Catholics are often merely employees of the Church and a "trade union mentality" prevails. The Church will no longer be perceived by them from the dimension of faith, but more as an employer, which is  to be criticized as such. The motivation of faith is lacking. Also it becomes an expression of the secularization of Church life.

"Impressive contrast between Benedict's criticism of German Church and Francis' favor for the German Church"

The Church in Germany is, after the government, Germany's second largest employer. The gigantic apparatus has transformed the church into a "secular bureaucracy."   It's a situation that Benedict XVI.  finds tragic.  That much money is not good for the Church is because in the end it is still too little and creates only sarcasm from  intellectual circles.
"It impresses the contrast between this harsh criticism of Benedict XVI. and the favor the same German Church enjoys today from Pope Francis, as if it were the vanguard of the hoped-for renewal of a world Christendom defined by poverty and mercy, while in reality, in front of everyone, it is obvious that the Church is neither poor nor merciful in Germany but - even worse - is smothered by its own apparatus, and especially by the world where many central themes of morality and dogma is on its knees. "
What Magister does not explicitly mention: Currently there are German bishops and subordinate representatives on their knees in "Luther fever." Cardinal Reinhard Marx, President of the German Bishops' Conference, declared Luther a "bombastic figure" while Cardinal Walter Kasper announced: "Luther was right."
Magister explains the German church tax system with its compulsory payments that level the threat of excommunication for non-compliance. The Vatican expert points out that the German Bishops' Conference last year, received more than five times what the Italian Episcopal Conference received through voluntary church donations.

Modern indulgences: disobedience and heresy do not matter, the main thing is that you pay the church tax

Whoever doesn't pay the church tax in Germany will be excluded from the Church. This was confirmed again by the German bishops in  2012. Who does not pay, is excluded from the sacraments.

Of "mercy" says Magister, there  is no trace. In Germany, a considerable part of the church is disobeying doctrine and discipline of the Church. Schismatic and heretical tendencies are tolerated without the slightest suspicon. The remarried divorcees "go unabashedly Communion everywhere, and aberrosexual unions are increasingly being blessed in church."   Excommunication was nowhere mentioned however much it might encourage some. "But woe", if someone does not pay church tax. One could speak of a new "indulgence." The main thing is you pay, then you can do it any way you want, the services of the Church are always available.  Subservience to the zeitgeist prevails accordingly in a deafening silence about the mass murder of unborn children through abortion.
This past July 17  Curial Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the secretary of Benedict XVI., also lamented this contradiction in an interview with the Swabian newspaper .

A lot of money: influence on the many poor diocese and also in Rome

"There is no mention of the influence which the German Church has on many poor dioceses in the southern hemisphere, they support financially," said Magister. The same applies to the Holy See in Rome, who is also a big beneficiary of German monetary flows.
As early as 2011 there the church in Germany was peeved at Benedict XVI.'s critique of the worldliness of their church.  Since he is then no longer Pope, they no longer have to take out all the stops to appease public opinion. This part was adopted at this time by the Jesuit Andreas Batlogg, editor of the Jesuit magazine "Stimmen der Zeit". He said that the interview book by Benedict XVI. "should never have appeared", and Cardinal Marx would do to silence criticism.
The German church knows, so the impression, that a nerve has been struck when one criticizes her luxuriant flowing money.

Bicycling in the Sanctuary --- The "Model" of the "Merciful" Bishops

Archbishop Lorefice Travels With His Bike Through the Presbyterium
of his Cathedral
(Rome) The new Archbishop of Palermo, recently appointed by Pope Francis, Msgr. Corrado Lorefice, swung himself in a bicycle and drove through the presbyterium of his Cathedral.
"Sometimes I ask myself whether certain prelates do not invent these surprises from a mere desire to see if they come into the media and land especially on certain blogs, for example, ours ..." according to the traditional website Messa in Latino.

News and pictures were published by the official website of the Archdiocese of Palermo with the following text:

"Palermo. Primatiale Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption, Wednesday, April 27, 2016: Feast of the Athletes. Image: His Excellency Most Reverend Monsignor Corrado Lorefice, Archbishop-Metropolitan, Primate of Sicily, on a bicycle in the chancel of his cathedral..

The Archbishop was given a bike that he didn't want to try outside the church. Instead, he rose immediately and in full regalia as celebrant,  chasuble and miter,  got on the bike  and drove it through the presbytery of his episcopal church. The Cathedral of Palermo is not only where lay the Stauferkaisers Henry VI. and Frederick II. and the Norman King, Roger II. It is above all one of the oldest Christian places of worship in Europe. The area of the Cathedral was secret at the latest  in the second century gathering of Christians in underground tunnels. Here the martyrs of the persecution of Christians were buried. The Christians gathered at their graves. In the early fourth century, the construction of the first cathedral was carried out. Under Pope Gregory the Great, the second cathedral was built around 600.

"Ultraprogessive slap"

Biking Archbishop

Msgr. Lorefice belongs to the so-called "compassionate" bishops appointed by Pope Francis. Observers speak of "progressive" appointments.

Born in 1962 in Sicily, he was ordained in 1987 a priest in the Diocese of Noto. On October 27, 2015, Pope Francis surprised with his appoinment as the new primate of Sicily. Last 5 December, the inauguration took place. Officially, church-related media cheered him as a "bishop of a Church of the poor and for the poor". Traditional media, however, spoke of an "ultra progressive slap for conservatives" in the Church.

Lorefice followed Cardinal Paolo Romeo, who made the ominous prediction in late 2011 that Pope Benedict XVI. would die within the year 2012. Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, of Benedict XVI. taught thereat, in his exposition of the facts of an "assassination plot".

Pop music of Noemi and "School of Bologna"

Lorefice belongs to the progressive "school of Bologna", that historian school, looking at the Second Vatican Council as a "break" with the recent ecclesial tradition and as a "new beginning" in the modern age. Lorefice contributed to this school in a book about Gisueppe Dossetti and Cardinal Lercaro, who were both central figures of the progressive "Rhenish Alliance".

Dossetti was a left Catholic politician, who was consecrated a priest in 1959 consecrated by Cardinal Lercaro priest. Thanks to his political and parliamentary experience, he was the one who steered the Second Vatican Council for the "Rheinische Alliance" from the background. The lever which he used  was the Rules of Procedure. Until an incensed  Pope Paul VI. forced him to leave Rome.

Lorefice had become, before his appointment, less known because of a clerical draft, but especially because of his unusual sermons on the music of Noemi and other pop singers.

Messa in Latina wrote sarcastically about the Archbishop  biking in his church: "Ad perpetuam rei memoriam." The conspicuous drive into the presbyterate seems to proportionally match its desacralization.

Shot Across the Bow for Cardinal Pell -- Non-Bergoglians Have a Difficult Situation in the Roman Curia

Cardinal George Pell and Cardinal Raymond Burke Have a Difficult
Situation in Rome
(Rome) Some heads of dicasteries of the Roman Curia have been removed by Pope Francis after his election to office. Others were left in office, but in fact isolated.  Cardinal Pell is also under constant pressure.

The Dismissal of "Ratzingerians"

With the dismissals, it was not to questions of competence, but a directional decision. It touches on each convinced "Ratzingerianer", a cipher, which is shorthand encapsulating  a faithful understanding of the Church.
First, the Italian Cardinal Mauro Piacenza was replaced as Prefect of the Congregation for Clergy, and at only 70 year of age shoved off for the honorary management of the universal Church but completely insignificant post of Major Penitentiary of the Apostolic Penitentiary. In 2010 Cardinal Piacenza had assisted Pope Benedict XVI.  to raise the Curé of Ars, St. John Mary Vianney as a model and patron of priests.  It was an attempt that failed however, owing to violent resistance among the high clergy who rejected a 'pre-conciliar'  priestly style as "backward-looking."  Even the reigning Pope would not warm up to this priest model, replacing Cardinal Piacenza by a man of his choice.
The Catalan Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments , was considered a "little Ratzinger". His rejection of the "new Mercy" by Cardinal Walter Kasper, he had already announced at the cardinal consistory in February, 2014. As a head of a Dicastry, Cardinal Cañizares would have been an ex officio member of the Bishops' Synod on marriage and the family. However, Pope Francis appointed him shortly before the start of Synod 2014 as Archbishop of Valencia. His inauguration in Spain took place before the Synod opening day.
Immediately after the Synod was the American Cardinal Raymond Burke, who had, since 2008 been Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura and President of the Supreme Court of the Vatican State, had been literally chased from office.. Under Pope Benedict XVI. Cardinal Burke had a decisive influence on the appointment of bishops in the United States. Appointments, which created a healthy episcopate, in their orientation but found the reluctance of Pope Francis. In December 2013 he removed Cardinal Burke from the Congregation for Bishops and from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
The real clash of opposing positions, however, would  only be to follow. Cardinal Burke, a brilliant canon lawyer, was the spokesman for the defense of Catholic marriage and morality against the Kasper theses at the Synod of Bishops, 2014.  He hinted at tampering on a grand scale with which the Synod of Bishops was canted in a progressive direction. He was so outraged that there could be such a thing in the Church, he hinted that the manipulation was carried out by papal support. Shortly before the start of the Synod, an anthology to defend the marriage sacrament and the natural family appeared at the initiative of Cardinal Burke  with contributions by five well-known cardinals. The annoyance was so great that loud rumors began to circulate, Pope Francis cherished the intention to remove the cardinal from Rome in the papal environs. The threat would be a shot across the bow of Cardinal Burke to hold back at the Synod of Bishops. However, the US cardinal would not to be intimidated. Less than three weeks after the end of the Synod, Pope Francis acted on his threat and removed Cardinal Burke from the Roman Curia. As Cardinal Patronus of the Sovereign Military Order, the  Cardinal has no more influence on the leadership of the Church. Above all, he was therefore excluded from participating in the Synod of Bishops, 2015. The deposition can also be seen in connection with the provisional administration of the traditional Order of Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate. In a regular trial would be the case ended up as a last instance on the table by Cardinal Burke. It was a probability that they obviously did not want to risk in the papal circle.
The interventions involved the central areas clergy, liturgy and sacraments and the Supreme Court. With the appointment of Cardinal Robert Sarah, succeeding Cardinal Cañizares, Pope Francis barely reached what he had intended. Cardinal Sarah developed the new office to become one of the most famous and outstanding cardinal figures. The integration of Africa into the "Latin American Agenda" has so far failed miserably. The African Synod was valuable during the Synod of Bishops in 2015 with an energetic resistance against the "liberal Kasperians" ( Messa in Latino ).

The Marginalization of the Remaining "Ratzingerian"

The depositions of leading Church representatives will have disciplined others who do not want to suffer the same fate. Pope Francis is considered an expert strategist. Too many personal interventions have made a reconstruction of the Church obvious. The "right" dosage protects an open flank. The dicastry  heads, with an unspoilt understanding of the church have little in common with Pope Francis, are ignored and marginalized by it. This concerns two more of the nine Curial Congregations: the Congregation of Faith and the Congregation for Bishops. Faith Prefect Cardinal Gerhard Müller and Bishop Prefect Cardinal Marc Ouellet were indeed left by Francis in office and dignity, but isolated. See:
This has the optical advantage that the Roman Curia seems "balanced" from the outside and more parts of the Church in Rome could feel somehow represented. It does not match the actual internal power relations. Pope Francis rules autocratically.

Cardinal George Pell: Dismissal from Australia

Another cardinal not trusted by Pope Francis. The Australian Cardinal George Pell is for  the pope's progressive entourage, "the other side."  When Pope Francis announced a month after his election, the establishment of a Cardinal Council  that should assist in the reform of the Roman Curia and the guidance of the universal Church, he adopted a geographical key.  Each continent should be represented by one Cardinal in the new body. Cardinal Pell was at this time the only Cardinal of Oceania and slipped inevitably into the so-called C8 Council of cardinal advisers (today C9 council of cardinal advisers). It was an unintentional "glitch" like the successor of Cardinal Cañizares.

Cardinal Pell was appointed in February 2014 even to the Roman Curia and appointed Prefect of the newly established Economic Secretariat. Actually an appreciation. First, the new dicastery existed only on paper, while Pope Francis had received the opportunity to restructure the Australian episcopate. Cardinal Pell was the dominant figure on the fifth continent because of his personality and his rank. Francis rejected all three proposed candidates for the successor of the Archbishop of Sydney, which had been suggested to him by the competent Cardinal Ouellet and Congregation of Bishops in consultation with Cardinal Pell. The Pope appointed a candidate of his choice. How this came about, was, as in other cases, completely opaque. According to the Canadian religious experts Alain Pronkin  Pope Francis seeks the most "progressive candidates".  He does not rely on the competent institutions, but to the recommendations of personal confidants.
There was puzzlement in Rome about the appointment of Cardinal Pell to the Curia. The most credible explanation seems that Pope Francis thus, made the same attempt as that made by the Pope John Paul II with Walter Kasper:  Push back his influence in the home country by transportation and involve him in the papal agenda. But the Australian cardinal moved to Rome not of his convictions and proved in the Synod of Bishops as very staunch defender of Catholic marriage and morality.  At the Synod in 2014, he continued his defense against the Kasper theses, although his microphone  had been turned off by the Synod  against the rules of procedure.  About his situation it was said: "Some get dirty." Cardinal Burke called out the "dirty game" publicly and was promptly punished.
Again and again, therefore, there was of papal displeasure against Cardinal Pell's speech, or of "maneuvers" to remove him from Rome. There is also concern is also on the side of the Cardinal himself and reflects a general uncertainty in the Roman Curia. Whoever does not belong to the progressively aligned, narrow court of the Pope, spends his time in Rome  with some trepidation.

The PricecaterhouseCoopers action

Yesterday it was announced that the contract for the audit of the Holy See by the company PricecaterhouseCoopers was to be "suspend." The accounting firm founded in 1865, headquartered in Frankfurt had taken over the external Audit of the Holy See and of Vatican City, as well as its tax advice. The relevant negotiations  were handled by Pope Francis' Economic Council, headed by Cardinal Reinhard Marx as project coordinator. The commissioning of the Frankfurt-based company was announced last December 5, 2015. The duration of the contract relates to a period of three years. The order volume amounts to three million euros. The contract with PricecaterhouseCoopers was signed by Cardinal Pell as the competent prefect.
On the 20th and 23rd of February, the Cardinal had informed all Vatican offices that are subjected to investigation. Therein, the chief officers were informed that PricecaterhouseCoopers itself will be put in touch with them and that they would issue a permit that the auditors can talk to all competent managers of offices and which includes cooperating with them.
In recent days, the State Department suddenly issued a contrary order. All Vatican offices received a letter from Cardinal Secretary of State Parolin and his substitutes curia Archbishop Becciu that the Audit is "suspended." "A decision that can not be done without the consent of the pope," said Vatican Insider .
This involves neither  PricewaterhouseCoopers nor  their work. It isn't related to the "resistance" of some offices, wishing to avoid supervision. It involves "only" formal legal aspects.
Since last year, after a start-up time, the statutes were adopted for the Secretariat of the Economy and the Economic Council, the formal conclusion of the award of the contract does not comply with the intended procedure. This gap must be closed in accordance with the statutes and newly awarded the contract. He promulgated again PricewaterhouseCoopers. The measure would be to "rehabilitate" only formal errors   that might otherwise give rise to legal complaints.

"Message to Cardinal Pell, who has the last word"

The details of this "strange" operation remain opaque. The C9 Council of cardinal advisers (to which Pell belongs) had been expressly discussed concerning orders to external firms  just as Cardinal Secretary of State Parolin and Cardinal Coordinator of the Economic Council Marx.  All the more astonishing is the intervention of the State Secretariat.
The situation this causes is embarrassing  only for Cardinal Pell. He has signed the contract with the consent and on behalf of other, at least this suggests it. Worse  there is the impression he is not capable of leading his office and -- even worse -- not contractible.  Now there is the impression that he was unable to perform his duties.
Therefore Pell let it be known by a spokesman for the Economic Secretariat, "to be somewhat surprised" by the letter of the State Secretariat. But he was convinced that the "work of PricewaterhouseCoopers will continue soon."
The Vatican expert Edward Pentin ( National Catholic Register ) sees in the whole operation a "message" to Cardinal Pell.  Apparently they wanted to give him to understand who's boss. He certainly did not.
Yesterday, Cardinal Pell was received by Pope Francis. It is to be assumed that the audience is in direct connection with these events. The moral of the story: Curia staff, the highest ranking that do not belong to Pope Francis' alignment [Chaotic Evil?], have a tough time at the Roman Curia.

Vatileaks 2: Pope Francis Draws a Line Under it with "Act of Mercy"

Vatileaks 2: Five defendants before the Vatican Court  (Vallejo Balda, Chaouqui, Fittipaldi, Nuzzi)

(Rome) Pope Francis wants to end the scandal of Vatileaks 2 "by a great act of mercy". This was reported by the Catholic Spanish press at InfoVaticana who cite, "sources at the State Secretariat."
"This is to prevent media fire will return again on corruption and Vatican finances again," said the press service.
Last October 31st the Spanish prelate, Lucio Vallejo Balda, was arrested by the Vatican Gendarmerie near Florence. Since then, he has been in Vatican in custody. Italian PR woman Francesca Chaouqui was arrested at the same time. After she had agreed to cooperate with the investigating authorities, Chaouqui was released after several days of detention. This generosity had to do with her pregnancy, but also with the Italian judiciary, whose investigation of Chaouqui, her husband and some public figures of Italy are ongoing in several other cases. Incarceration in the Vatican would have obstructed justice in Italy.

Two books, two scandals, different thrust

The scandal is related to the publication of two books that have been presented simultaneously by Italian investigative journalists. These are the books Avarizia by Emiliano Fittipaldi and Via Crucis by Gianluigi Nuzzi.
Nuzzi was a connected with the first Vatileaks scandal against Benedict XVI.  Although the German Pope was a victim of the scandal, the leading mass media directed the scandal against him and called for his resignation.
Such things did not happen under Pope Francis. Nuzzi even wrote his book, which triggered  Vatileaks 1  against the reigning Benedict XVI., while he has protested several times now that his new book is in support of Pope Francis and "reform".
Never the less it seems Pope Francis wants to put an end to the negative headlines associated with Vatileaks. 2

Five defendants are in the Vatican in court

The two journalists, Valleja Balda, his secretary and Chaouqui have to stand trial in the same case before a Vatican court. It is about abuse of power, breach of the employment relationship and the obligation of secrecy and illegal disclosure of documents.
The opportunity for a "generous act of charity" can drawn a line under the scandal to serve  the Holy Year of Charity and  approaching Easter, says InfoVaticana .

Newspaper of the French Bishops Seeks Lifting of Excommunication for Freemasons

(Paris) On the 26th of November 1983, the Roman Congregation reaffirmed with  Pope John Paul II's  express approval, a declaration of incompatibility of Freemasonry with the Catholic Church.
The ruling was then deemed necessary by then Prefect of the CDF, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. Since  January 1983,  membership was in the Masonic lodge was not explicitly mentioned in the new Code of Canon Law, as it occurred in several countries, there was the assertion, including Austria, that Freemasons were no longer excommunicated. Catholics, therefore, asked Rome for clarification, and that took place with particular haste in November of the same year.
"The negative judgment of the Church on Masonic associations, therefore, remains unchanged because their principles have always been considered irreconcilable with the doctrine of the Church and therefore membership in them continues to be prohibited. The faithful who belong to Masonic associations are therefore in the state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion."
This excommunication was reaffirmed and clarified:
"It is not within the competence of local ecclesiastical authorities to give a judgement on  the nature of Masonic associations  which would imply a derogation of what is ruled from above."

La Croix wants a lifting of the excommunication for lodge brothers

Beschürzte lodge brothers
Beschürzte lodge brothers

Nevertheless, there are "wordly Catholics" who brush aside  the excommunication or deny it flatly. "Some people have no qualms about openly showing their disapproval. Belonging to the Masonic Lodge is more important than obedience to the Church," said Corrispondenza Romana .
The most recent example is La Croix , the daily newspaper of the French Bishops' Conference . On January 25, it complained that there are many severe "exclusions" which are really "painful" that only include "Masons," "who profess the Catholic faith".
According to La Croix there are "judgments", like  that justified by the CDF justified and "understood" for a time in which the lodges were avowedly been anticlerical. Today, however, that is, at least according to the newspaper of the French Bishops' Conference, no longer the case.
Instead of a justification for this assertion, La Croix  introduces that omnipresent commitment to "dialogue" onto the field: "Is it really applicable in a context such as the present, that condemnation no longer benefits dialog?" In order to "liberate"  the apron clad brothers from the self-imposed exile from church, the   newspaper refers to the "Holy Year of Mercy", "Why not finally eliminate this charge from the category of 'serious sins' for the Year of Mercy?"
The daily paper of the French Episcopal Conference can think of no reason why the Masons should be excommunicated. To be precise, the newspaper makes no attempt to find a reason. It merely refers to a "past" that is no longer applicable now without explaining when to what and why it should be changed.
"The answer is quite simple. The accusation of grave sin can not be eliminated because Freemasonry has neither changed nor has ever done anything to change. Its goal is to be the destruction of  organic and natural society. It supports  positions and behaviors that are absolutely incompatible with the Catholic faith from an ethical and social point of view and those things about which they rather avowedly disagree, such as divorce, abortion, homosexuality, gender ideology, euthanasia and many others," said Corrispondenza Romana .
If the distance were  reduced, it would be because the progressive part of the Church have come closer with their "holes" to the positions of the lodges, "if it is not  result in a deadly embrace."
The outspoken condemnation on April 28, 1738 by Pope Clement XII. with the Bull In Eminenti   has lost none of its  validity. Most importantly, it leaves no room for doubt. "It would not be bad if those  in the daily newspaper of the French bishops consider it and perhaps would read this excommunication on occasion," said Corrispondenza Romana .

Vienna cathedral minister Toni Faber and his Aproned Lodge Brothers

Among those who flout the current condemnation of Freemasonry, is Vienna's cathedral pastor, Msgr. Toni Faber. In 2010 he was with the former Grand Master of the Austrian Grand Lodge guest on the private television channel TW1.
When asked about the statement of the CDF and the excommunication upon entry into a lodge,  Faber said: instead of Cardinal Ratzinger we are more obliged  "thankfully, to Cardinal König".  In Austria, "Thank God, it's always" been "that Masons who have asked the Cardinal  König: 'Is it permissible for me as a sincere Catholic to belong in the Lodge,' have always received approval from him."
Faber gave the impression that the attitude to Freemasonry is merely personal judgment call. The "approval" that Cardinal König gave, according to Faber, however, was null and void because he had no responsibility to make the decision.
Faber's outspoken representation illustrates that ecclesiastical regulations are thwarted in the highest places. Faber was open in the broadcast  about his personal contacts with "many" Freemasons, which he invariably called "convinced Catholics", only to boast about them, because he could be sure  to be fear nothing from the supervising office.
The alleged harmlessness of the lodges by Toni Faber in 2010, and now of La Croix is so far that one might wonder why  supposedly "upright" and "convinced Catholics" find it important to live in disobedience to their own Church, to belong to an allegedly so harmless a club.

The video broadcast with Cathedral Pastor Faber, first published on Youtube, since deleted, can still be seen on Gloria.tv in German.

Is There an "Organized Movement" Against Pope Francis?

Andrea Tornielli at the Presentation of his Interview Book "The Name of
God is Mercy" to Pope Francis
(Rome) Andrea Tornielli is considered in Rome as the House and Home Vaticanist.  He enjoys the privilege of having easy access to the leader of the Catholic Church. Before important initiatives, Tornielli is a regular guest in Santa Marta. His information comes firsthand. He also advises the Pope in matters of public relations and acts as its indirect mouthpiece. Yes according to plan and need, Tornielli announces in his articles steps the Pope takes or tries to give them an official interpretation in the face of criticism. This also includes, occasionally straighten out things.
In Argentina, the journalist Elisabetta Piqué, the Rome correspondent of the daily newspaper  La Nacion, takes a special position. The Pope's special friend has already published   her biography "Francisco. Vida y Revolución " (Francis. Life and Revolution)  about her compatriot on the papal throne before.
Both, Tornielli and Piqué, see their tasks as to put  the words and deeds of the Pope, medially, in a good light. They comply with this, albeit indirectly, especially in this pontificate where this is not a task to be underestimated.  Pope Francis is to remain a mystery. In fact, the mystery does not grow less in the passing of time.
Inconsistencies complicate interpretation of his thought and action. Tornielli's products are guaranteed to appear in the daily newspaper, La Stampa and the Internet portal,  Vatican Insider:  they reveal, whether expressly mentioned or not, the intention of the Pope.
The Tornielli interview in "La Nacion"
The Tornielli interview in "La Nacion"

Tornielli Interview for La Nacion

Elisabetta Piqué is now letting Andrea Tornieli have his say in La Nacion have his say. The reason for the interview was the conversation book recently published by Tornielli with Pope Francis "The Name of God is Mercy". Here, too, we learn some of what is thought in Santa Marta.
"For the organized sector, the Pope can't do anything right," says Tornielli in a citation in the title. "The renowned Italian Vatican expert, author of a book interview with Francis, is astonished at the systematic attacks of a conservative group against the Argentine Pope," writes Piqué.
In an interview Piqué and Tornielli also speak of  the criticism of Pope Francis.
Piqué: But in the past few months things have happened that one has never seen before, such as the letter of the 13 cardinals who wrote the Pope during the last Synod, who defied his authority and practically accused him of manipulation.
Tornielli: Like Paul VI.  who published the encyclical Humanae Vitae, there were articles with very severe criticism. But it is true, at the Synod, there was a moment of tension. And it seems to me that there is an organized movement, which uses all media, including the Internet, to spread discord and criticism of the Pope. What amazes me is that they find something to criticize every day.  In this movement, it does not really matter what the Pope  says or does. That surprised me a lot and this perseverance clearly points to a prejudice, because it has not taken into account what he actually says and does, when it does not fit into clichés.
Piqué: Can this daily critique of Francis, especially by blogs, who accuse him of being a populist, of being ambiguous,  desacralizing in matters of doctrine and the papacy, hurt him?
Tornielli: If the criticism is not right, but on the basis of prejudice when it is systematic, even ridiculous, because of their insistence and their instability, they turns in the end against those who express them.

Pope Francis informed about criticism

The interview confirmed that Pope Francis is aware of the criticism of statements and decisions about him. That was  apparent early on when Francis, on November 1, 2013, called the intellectually upstanding, but  one of his especially toughest critics, the Catholic law philosopher Mario Palmaro. Mario Palmaro was already suffering a serious illness, which he would succumb shortly thereafter.
The existence of an "organized movement" that "systematically" criticized Pope Francis may be a personal impression of Tornielli, but he did not reveal any evidence. It seems doubtful that the Pope's critics are  "all media."   In fact, it is believed, taking Tornielli's and Piqué's statements together, that just the "blogs" are responsible. The Internet, because of its free access, thus appears to be the only medium where criticism of the current Pope can be expressed. That says something about the medium of the Internet, but it says even more about the press and radio.
This is interesting,  as the Argentine Master of Ceremonies of the Pope, Msgr. Guillermo Xavier Karcher, said  for the first time in interview in April 2014  that the Pope reads a single newspaper, La Repubblica, and that it prepares a map for him of the daily press. But he neither reads the Internet nor could he use a computer.Curial Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, President of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, said on June 23, 2015 at the Europe Forum in Bilbao, the Pope had confided to him on 18 June in Santa Marta: "I know that there are many blogs against me."  It was a statement that he could only make from information provided by others.

Tornielli All Inclusively Dismisses Criticism of Pope Francis

Also, given  the assertions that the criticism of the Pope  was "not sincere", based on "prejudices" and was therefore "baseless," Tornielli states no example.
Specifically, the point in the interview is that there is only a general discrediting of any criticism of Pope Francis.
An "organized movement" against Pope Francis has not yet been determined for us. What concerns Katholisches.info, we can assure you,  is that we are  not on the lookout for acts of Pope Francis which could be criticized. We hold no contact with any group which forges  against Pope Francis or anyone else who intrigues in an "organized movement" of which we have not heard anything and we therefore attribute its existence to the imagination of Andrea Tornielli.
But as chief editor I will not deny, that sometimes I rise in the morning with the anxious thought about what the news of the Pope now holds. One would probably be exaggerating, if they wanted to say  you have won a very confident impression. Still less,  can we claim as the  Francis-worshipers do,   constantly seeking the Holy Spirit to play Him off against Tradition, Scripture and the Magisterium as needed.
But Tornielli and Piqué do not reveal what they criticize.
Unlike Tornielli and Piqué,  we are anyhow independent and impartial in our coverage, since we have entertain no close relationship to the subject of reporting  unlike Piqué, who has been friends with Francis for many years and who baptized her children, and unlike Tornielli, who has lived since 13 March 2013 with one foot in Santa Marta, and quite exceptionally owes this pontificate for his privileged position.
