"The Church Has Betrayed John Paul II"

Archbishop Henryk Hoser:  "The Church Has Betrayed
Pope John Paul II."
(Warsaw) This is what Archbishop Henryk Hoser Archbishop, Bishop of Warsaw-Praga,  said about the Magisterium of the Polish Pope on the family. The reason for the sharp criticism is the upcoming Synod of Bishops on the family in October 2015.
"I'll say it brutally.. The church has betrayed John Paul II." With these words, Archbishop Hoser recently caused a stir. "Not the Church as the Bride of Christ, not the Church of our creed, for John Paul II. was its expression, the authentic voice of the Church, but the pastoral practice is what has betrayed John Paul II.,"  said the Polish archbishop in an interview with the Polish news agency KAI.
The focus of the interview was the family and the upcoming Synod of Bishops on the Family in autumn. They will be there, said the Archbishop, to talk about the breakdown of the family, about the patchwork family, about the indissolubility of marriage, but it will also be those who demand the admission of the divorced and remarried to Communion.
Archbishop Hoser said the fact that the position representative of Cardinal Kasper started from   a "false premise", because it would be "calls  for God's mercy without justice".  In real life, it would be necessary "that marriage and family life guaranteed justice." The Bishop of Warsaw recalled the words of John the Baptist to Herod: "You had no right to take your brother's wife to wife" (Mk 6:18). What was important is "a need for justice," said Archbishop Hoser referring to Pope John Paul II., who had said that love seeks out "justice with God".
The Bishop of Warsaw called on Catholics to read the Apostolic Letter of Pope John Paul II. Familiaris Consortio about the family.
Hoser was   the diocesan Bishop of Warsaw-Praga before his appointment as a Curial Archbishop in Rome. The rank and dignity of archbishop he kept ad personam keep after his appointment.

“In Order to Understand the ‘Aggiornamento’, One Must Dig Deeply.” -- All of the Journals of John XXIII. to be Published

(Rome) Pope John XXIII. (1958-1963) who after years of silence is getting  new attention. This has led to the coincidence of two events: 50 years of Vatican II and the election of Pope Francis, whom some associate significantly with the counciliar Pope. These include the former secretary of Pope Roncalli, Monsignor Loris Capovilla,  who received his cardinal’s hat  from Pope Francis.  Cardinal Capovilla claimed recently that Pope Francis had originally even wanted to be called John XXIV.  This is a version that is doubted in Rome, but fits well in a particular image.
The elevation of the 93 year old Capovilla to cardinal as well as the wonderfully  loose canonization of John XXIII. next 27 April is regarded as Church policy efforts to satisfy those on the "progressive" side of the Church.  The pontificates of John Paul II and Benedict XVI are particularly criticized  as a "restoration attempt.”  Monsignor Capovilla is devoted to his literary work, especially the life and work of Pope Roncalli and in this context the Second Vatican Council .

Church Political Rehabilitation of the Conciliar Spirit against "Restoration"

The common canonization of Pope John Paul II  and the Conciliar Pope,  makes for less of a  "happy medium"  but the thwarting of  the canonization of the Polish Pope, whose process was so far advanced with the recognition of a miracle would have caused too much irritation with a delay.
In view of the unexpected canonization of John XXIII. the new and complete edition of all the diaries of Pope Roncalli has now been published. Copies of the annotated and edited edition will receive a selection of major libraries and all the Apostolic Nunciature of the world.

In order to understand the "secret" of "aggiornamento", one must dig "very low" in his life

John XXIII. left numerous personal records, including especially his appointment calendars, diaries and notes.Cardinal Giacomo Lercaro, then Archbishop of Bologna, and one of the progressive spokesman for the council said that one to the "secret" John XXIII., That is his program of " aggiornamento to understand "the Church," very low "in its life before he became Pope "dig" should.
Last Saturday, a ten-volume new work was presented at the named after the council Pope hall of the Curia of Bergamo, collecting diaries and diary Roncalli since his youth. The publication was printed in an edition of 300 copies and will be distributed to selected individuals and libraries. Nunciatures at all, the most prestigious libraries and certain libraries in symbolic places such as Tübingen and Louvain, Hiroshima and Nagasaki

"School of Bologna" is Responsible

The publication was carried out by the Foundation Giovanni XXIII of Bergamo, the Diocese of Bergamo and the Institute of Religious Sciences of Bologna, is related  school of Bologna is related to a progressive interpretation of the Council.  The head of the school of Bologna, the Church Historian Alberto Melloni then also will be one of the speakers at the presentation. The Republic of Italy promoted the publication as a contribution to "national heritage".
The ten volumes are primarily based on the archives of the School of Bologna, the Holy See, the postulation for the canonization process and now headed by Cardinal Capovilla. When presenting, smaller excerpts were presented, including a diary during his time as nuncio in Turkey (1935-1944) about the Turkish people:
"I love them in Jesus crucified and it is painful that Christians speak so ill about them and thus prove how little the gospel has penetrated into their souls. I love them, because the part of my office is, as a father, as a shepherd and as Apostolic Delegate: I love them because I believe they are called to salvation. I know that the spirit of many of my Western Catholic children is against me. But this has neither disturbed me nor discouraged me "(entry of 27 July 1936).

Consistorium set for 30th of September: Pope to Journey to Assisi

The Pope's calendar is heavy with the Cardinals meeting in the fall, the first meeting of the Commission and Assisi visit - Can't make it to Constantinople -- Canonization of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII. expected in 2014

Vatican City (kath.net / KAP) The next meeting of Cardinals, called the Consistory, is apparently taking place on September 30th in the Vatican. This is clear from the press briefing published by the Vatican Press Office, during his flight last Monday as Pope Francis was returning from World Youth Day in Brazil. At the meeting, the Cardinals will be present in Rome for the Canonization of their approval of Pope John Paul II (1978-2005) and Pope John XXIII (1958-1963) are expected.

As Francis explained in an interview with journalists, he originally wanted to meet the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew I, at the end of September in Istanbul. However, this was not possible "because of my schedule". On the question of when the canonization of Pope John Paul II was to be expected, Francis then said that once the consistory takes place on September 30th. The canonization would therefore not take place probably this year, because of the foreseeable wintry weather conditions in Poland. At an ordinary consistory, the Cardinals then present in Rome come together to talk about canonization decrees or to accommodate new cardinals in the college. Extraordinary consistory all the cardinals gather in Rome to discuss special needs of the universal Church. At the far end of November 2012 last consistory, Pope Benedict XVI. appointed six new cardinals. At the consistory at the end of September there is a heavy series of important events in Rome. In early October, the Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga will chair the eight-member Cardinal commission to develop proposals for a reform of the Roman Curia on behalf of the Pope. For the 4th of October, the Pope has announced a trip to Assisi the work place and place of death of the founder and church reformer, Francis.

Liturgical Scandal Before Papal Visit in Brasilia -- Archbishop Wants to Ban Kneeling Communion

(Brasilia) Shortly before the visit by Pope Francis for World Youth Day in Brazil a liturgical scandal has erupted in the Latin American country. The Archbishop of Cuiabá, Milton Antonio dos Santos, has forbidden the faithful from receiving Communion kneeling in a magisterial letter to his archdiocese. The Real Presence of Christ was never mentioned Archbishop dos Santos in his encyclical of 11 July. Never that the Eucharist is truly the Word of God incarnate.

Prohibiting because of "unity"

The Archbishop explains his "instruction" to the "unity of the community." The Archbishop saw this threatened by Communion on the tongue kneeling.

"The real fault lays with John Paul II, who appointed him Bishop of Corumba inthe Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in 2000 and in 2003 promoted him to Coadjutor Archbishop of Cuiba with right of succession, where he became Archbishop in 2004", said the Church historian and Catholic blogger Francisco de la Cigoña. Dos Santos had been installed as bishop a few days before the resignation of the Brazilian Cardinal Lucas Moreira Neves, Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops.

The Brazilian Supreme Pastor embarks on thin ice with his ban and his justification. In his letter he refers to the instruction Eucharisticum Mysterium of the then Congregation of Rites in 1967. The doctrinal statements made since then he ignored.

This saw Communion on the tongue explicitly as the ordinary and therefore actual form of Communion reception. The standing hand Communion has been making the post-Conciliar period only represents a granted exception. The Archbishop, who refers to the "community," is not in communion with the popes, neither Francis nor Benedict XVI., who both offer Communion on the tongue to kneeling communicants.

Archbishop on thin ice

While kneeling Communion is always allowed, the standing may be additionally allowed by the competent Episcopal Conference. Both the introduction to the Roman Missal and the instruction Redemptionis Sacramentum from 2002, speak for themselves. In a letter from the Congregation for Divine Worship to a diocesan bishop, 1322/02/L protocol , from the 1st of July 2002, set forth the doctrinal and canonical bases.

The Conciliar Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium notes in point 22, paragraph 3, that no one is permitted to add anything in the liturgy on his own, omit or modify. According to Sacrosanctum Concilium, No. 22, paragraph 1, the sole responsibility for the Liturgy falls to the Holy See, who is also the sole legitimate legislator. Canon 838, Paragraph 1 of canon law repeats this principle of law.

Interesting in this context that the Archdiocese Ciuabá in 2012, conducted an opinion poll in which he asked the believers specifically, whether they received Communion kneeling on the tongue. 57.3 percent of the Faithful answered yes. Conduct that. This has been expressly connected with the imitation of the model of Pope Benedict XVI.

The retraction after protests - 57 percent of the faithful receive Communion Kneeling on the Tongue

The letter from the Archbishop was initially set on the website of the Archdiocese. A few hours after the publication of an article in the traditional we site Frates in Unum on the 13th of July it was removed. Fratres in Unum called on the faithful of the Archdiocese to protest against the illegal ban of the Archbishop to the Congregation for Divine Worship in Rome and the Apostolic Nunciature in Brazil. In the Archbishop's palace there were immediately numerous protests received, so that the Archbishop took to retreat. On Tuesday, a corrected version of the letter of Archbishop Dos Santos has been published. "As is usual for Brazilian bishops, it admitted no fault, but, more precisely, "as Fratres in Unum commented on the change. In the new version, the Archbishop explained that it is every believer's right to receive Holy Communion free standing or kneeling, and he "never" would "oblige" someone to receive [Calvinist] hand Communion.

And they found something in old storage.

Cardinal: Canonization of John Paul II Possible by October

Lissabon (kath.net/KNA) The Emeritus Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins expects the canonization of John Paul II. (1978-2005) this year still. The former Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints explained to the Lisbon boulevard magazine der "Correio da Manha" (Tuesday), that there is no certainty in these things. It is however "probable" that Pope Wojtyla will be canonized in October.

Martins explained that it is the 35th year since the beginning of the Pontificate of
Johannes Paul II. The Polish Pope was elected the head of the Catholic Church on the 16th of October 1978. The test of the alleged miracle to validate John Paul II which began a few days after his beatification in May of 2011 is in it's end phase according to the Cardinal. Some doctors have already stated that there is no scientific explanation for the for the unexplained healing of the healing of sick people.

Martins did not give further details about the miraculous healings. The Congregatio for Canonization and Beatification have on hand hundreds of reports of alleged miracles by the intercession of John Paul II.   The recognition of a miracle is a preparation for a canonization.  It must happen after his beatification on the 1st of May 2011.

Since the end of December it has been speculated about that the Wojtyla-Pope will be canonized in the next October.  His 26 year Pontificate was the second longest in the history of the Church, whose beatification was the shortest of modern Church history.  The healing of a French Nun of Parkinson’s had been recognized as a miracle in June of 2005.

The canonization is the solemn declaration of the Pope over the exemplary Christian life of a person and about his ultimate acceptance by God.  After the canonization in the course of a Liturgy, the person concerned may be honored worldwide.

Ugly Statue of Pope John Paul II Pseudo-Corrected

The Italian Media Gushes Over Scrap Metal "Art" Piece
Editor: you probably thought this thing was going to be taken down and sold for scrap, but no.  Despite worldwide contempt for this work, there will only be some minor alterations to it and it will stand in place where drunks can build fires in its hollows and perhaps share some schnapps on their drinking binges.  Hopefully, there will be a needle exchange nearby as well to complete the sense of urban decline and hopelessness.

Italy. The artist Oliviero Rainaldi, who designed the hollow statue of John Paul II outside the Roman Terminal, is ready to make small alterations. This was reported earlier by Roman news agency, 'Ansa". Rainaldi is a member of the Papal Cultural Council. He wants to execute "minimal" improvements to the neck and head.

John Paul II Said, "No Salvation Outside the Catholic Church" more than any Pope in History

Pope John Paul II " The mystery of salvation is continued and accomplished in the Church, and from
this single source it reaches the whole world. There is no salvation outside the Church. From her
alone there flows the life giving force destined to renew the whole of humanity, directing every human
being to become a part of the Mystical Body of Christ."

Rare Book by Pope Thrown Out by Postman

Editor: Wow, not sure how "Crossing the Threshold of Hope" is rare or valuable, but why not?

Book dealer Christian White returned from a holiday to find a signed copy of a book by Pope John Paul II had been recycled after a postman left it in his bin A man has hit out after he bought a rare book written and signed by Pope John  Paul II - which was then destroyed after a hapless postman left it in a recycling bin.Book dealer Christian White arrived home from a break to discover a note through his door from the Royal Mail saying the treasured book had been left in his recycling bin.

In a cruel twist of fate the bin had already been put out by a kind neighbour and the book, a 1994 edition of Crossing the Threshold of Hope, written by the late Pope John Paul II, ended up being recycled.

CHURCH’S GREGORY DECLINED OFFER OF LEGAL HELP ON PEDOPHILIA [sic]

Editor: Here's a piece by Tom Roeser which is concerned with the overhasty beatification of the late Pope. It's unfortunate that he refers to it as "pedophilia". Pedophilia among Catholic religious is extremely rare, even rarer than the event of homosexuals preying upon minors which is presently being used by the media and the forces which promote that, to destroy and discredit the Church. They're being successful too because too many people are eager and willing in their sanctimony and righteous anger, that they don't see the numbers.

If you want to be outraged about something. Stop going to Hollywood films, buying cheap, mass produced media culture and supporting these people. They've done more to corrupt and abuse children in a hundred years than the Church has or ever will in its entire history.

In the midst of another round of pedophilia scandals involving the U.S. Catholic Church…with the archdiocese of Philadelphia putting on leave 21 priests accused of sexual abuse of minors—and this following a blast to Philadelphia ecclesial authorities by a local grand jury which accused the hierarchy of allowing 37 deviate…the only proper word to apply to their behavior… clerics to remain around children despite “substantial evidence of abuse”—came a highly revelatory revelation that turned up in a discussion I had last week with Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke. Yes, she and I are often to be found on different pages of theology—but this, my friends, is not theology but moral conduct.

Liberation Theology is Back?

Will Liberation Theology be Exhumed?

Vatican, today the new neo-Conservative Archbishop João Bráz de Aviz takes up his new office as Prefect for the Congregation for the Institutes of Religious Life. For the occasion, the Vatican daily, 'Osservatore Romano' published an interview with him wherein he defended the Old Liberal Liberation Theology. That which is found as a "preferential option for the poor" is being sold as a "holy imperative option for Evangelization". Already the supposedly holy John Paul II has said that Liberation Theology is "not only useful, rather also necessary".

Still More Spies in the Vatican

The sister was in the apartment of the Cardinal tidying up.  Then she pushed against the statue of the Mother of God of Fatima, which then fell to the floor.

Cardinal Casaroli's Coat of Arms

(kreuz.net)Pope John Paul II. was not the only one in the Vatican who pursued spies.  The Italian news agency, 'Adnekronos' reported on the 29th of December.

Even the former Secretary of State, Agostino Cardinal Casaroli († 1998), found a bug in his home.

It was for that reason that the Cardinal is said to have been shadowed by the Soviet Secret Service, KGB throughout the 80s.

Cardinal Casaroli was  in office from 1979 to 1990.

According to reports from 'Adnkronis' the Cardinal had a little statue of Our Lady of Fatima in his dining room.

One morning  a sister, who was a servant  in the residence, bumped into the statue.  The statue fell to the floor whereupon a bug was suddenly visible.

The Italian Secret Service had determined in the  90er that the bug had been placed by Irina Trollevera in the residence of the Secretary of State.

Mrs Trollerova was a Czech citizen and was married to the Cardinal's nephew.

Already since the election of John Paul II († 2005) in  1978, the KGB had planned to wiretap the Pope.

The goal of the exercise was, "to discredit the Church and the Pope himself with disinformation-actions and provocations."

Actually Pope John Paul II. had already had his experience with Secret Services.

He was already being investigated by the Communist Secret Police of his own country.

Vatican Sends Anti-Communist Message with Canonizations

Lifesite

By Hilary White

ROME, December 21, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Vatican has sent the world a message of Catholicism's fundamental opposition to communism with the announcement this weekend from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Three of the greatest twentieth century opponents to the communist and socialist ideologies, Pope John Paul II, Pope Pius XII and the Polish Solidarity priest Jerzy Popieluszko, all moved a step closer to canonisation. The two popes were declared "venerable" for their heroic virtues and the Vatican announced that Pope Benedict XVI had approved the decree of beatification for Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko, the "Solidarity chaplain" murdered by the communist secret police.

In his lengthy biography, "Witness to Hope", American author George Weigel credits Pope John Paul with instrumental behind-the-scenes work in bringing down the communist regime in Eastern Europe. According to Weigel, John Paul, a Polish nationalist, was the third leg of an international triumvirate of world leaders - with US President Ronald Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher - who gave moral authority to the economic and political pressure that finally led to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Following the shooting of Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Piazza in May 1981, it was widely speculated that the assassination attempt had been ordered by Moscow in retaliation for the pope's support for the Polish Solidarity movement. In March 2006 an Italian parliamentary commission concluded "beyond any reasonable doubt that the leaders of the Soviet Union took the initiative to eliminate the pope Karol Wojtyla."

Pius XII, from the beginning of his pontificate in 1939 to his death in 1958, was implacably opposed to communism which was brutally persecuting Catholics throughout Eastern Europe. In July 1949, he formally excommunicated all members of the communist party and anyone who aided or abetted it. He forbade Catholics, on pain of excommunication, to write, publish, distribute or read books, periodicals, paper or pamphlets promoting communist doctrines. His 1951 letter to the Catholic Church of Czechoslovakia denounced the Communist regime for its vicious persecution.

Pius XII to be Made Venerable Angers Jewish Groups

Jewish leaders expressed disgust Saturday when Pope Benedict XVI pushed a controversial predecessor one step closer to sainthood.

The pontiff declared Pius XII "venerable" even though he's been criticized for not doing enough to help Jews during the Holocaust.

Jewish groups had asked for the move - one step before beatification - to be postponed until they're allowed to review Vatican archives on Pius' World War II actions.

Elan Steinberg, vice president of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants, called Benedict's decision "profoundly insensitive and thoughtless."

John Paul II Used the Discipline (whipped himself)

Pope John Paul II regularly whipped himself in 'remorse for his sins', a nun has revealed.

Pope John Paul, who died in 2005, is being considered for sainthood by the Catholic Church - the ultimate accolade and a tribute to his holiness.

As part of the Vatican's investigation, thousands of documents have been collected and examined by officials from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

Among them is the testimony of Polish nun Tobiana Sobodka, of the Sacred Heart of Jesus order, who worked for Pope John Paul in his private Vatican apartments and at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo near Rome.

Sister Sobodka said: 'Several times he (Pope John Paul) would put himself through bodily penance.

'We would hear it - we were in the next room at Castel Gandolfo. You could hear the sound of the blows when he flagellated himself. He did it when he was still capable of moving on his own.'

The flagellation is also confirmed by another bishop who has given testimony, Emery Kabongo, who for several years was a secretary for Pope John Paul.

He said: 'He would punish himself and in particular just before he ordained bishops and priests. Before passing on the sacraments he wanted to prepare himself.

'I never actually saw it myself but several people told me about it.'
