After the Priestly Society, Daneels' Protege Also Casts Out Communities of Jerusalem

The Communities of Jerusalem Leave Belgium (photo of their establishment
in Great St. Martin Church in Cologne)
(Brussels) An icy wind is blowing now under the new Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels. After throwing out the Priestly Society of the Holy Apostles from his diocese, the Communities of the Brothers and Sisters of Jerusalem must now pack their bags.

Jozef De Kesel was appointed Archbishop of Brussels and Primate of Belgium at the end of 2015 by Pope Francis. His appointment ended a five-year-old plan begun by Pope Benedict XVI. in an attempt to correct the progressive course of the Belgian Church. With the appointment of De Kesel, the old squad of Cardinal Godfried Danneels returned. De Kesel had already been Danneel's chosen successor in 2010. In November 2016 De Kesel was elevated to the rank of Cardinal by Francis. A dignity denied to his predecessor, Léonard.

Priestly Society of the Holy Apostles

De Kesel's predecessor and Danneel's successor, Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard had brought the Fraternité des Saints Apetres / Broederschap van de Saint Apostles of the French priest, Michel-Marie Zanotti, into the country. The Society took over the care of two parishes in the Brussels region and founded a seminary. Archbishop Léonard insisted on this parallel priestly training, hoping to train a new clergy.  Three years after the foundation, 21 young men were already preparing for the priesthood. The new foundation was "too successful," as it was described behind the scenes. De Kesel, only a few months in office, blocked the priestly seminary and threw the priestly brotherhood "from solidarity with France's bishops" out of his archdiocese. At the same time, he made sure that they were not included in any other Belgian diocese. "France also needs priests", was the well-founded reasoning.

In reality, De Kesel strives to make a tabula rasa of the "restorative" phase of his predecessor. The Church understanding of the Priestly Society of the Holy Apostles was "miles" away from that Danneels, as it was said in Brussels. The traditional priesthood of the Society and the numerous priestly confreres, which were attracted to the Society were considered undesirable in progressive circles. De Kesel himself promoted the abolition of priestly celibacy shortly after his inauguration.

Brothers and Sisters of the Communities of Jerusalem

Now the brothers and sisters of the Communities of Jerusalem must also pack their bags. The Fraternités Monastiques de Jérusalem 2001, founded in France in 1975, were brought to Brussels by Cardinal Danneels. The monastic communities have two offices in Rome in Trinità dei Monti and in San Sebastiano al Palatino. Their charism is, among other things, to live in monastic isolation in the midst of large cities. Communities have been settled in the famous abbey of Mont Saint Michel in Normandy and also the abbey with the famous cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene of Vezelay. In the German-speaking world, there are branches in Greater St. Martin in Cologne and in Strasbourg.

The Belgian branch is located in Saint-Gilles, Flemish Sint Gillis, in the Brussels region, a highly multicultural area with social problems. In the parish there are adult catechumenates, numerous missionary and apostolic initiatives, bible circles and a community of Eucharistic worship.

The reason for the expulsion is in this case: reform of the pastoral units. Churches are abandoned and parishes are united. The Sint-Gilliskerk is to become the center of a larger pastoral unit, but the presence of the monastic communities, although they have revitalized the parish, is no longer desired.

Their Presence Not Desired by the Archdiocese

At the suggestion of the Archdiocese, the Community agreed to seek a new place of action. "We have complete confidence and are ready to work together," quotes Nuova Bussola Quotidiana (NBQ) Soeur Violaine and Frere Jean-Christophe, who are responsible for the Brussels branch. A new site has also been found, but the Archdiocese is only prepared to issue a guarantee for two years. This is too little for a community. When the community pressed for a longer time, the Archdiocese was opposed. After a discussion with the Archbishop and the delegates for consecrated life, "we have decided to withdraw," as the two leaders of the communities write. There was no room left.
The explanation bears a bitter undertone, which makes the disappointment of being forced out of the archdiocese after fifteen years. The leaders ask for prayer: "The future belongs to God. If He wants our Communities to return to Brussels one day, we will be very pleased."
The ouster of the Priestly Society of the Holy Apostles and now of the monastic Communities of Jerusalem raises questions. Can an archdiocese like Brussels afford to set aside two of its most fruitful communities?
"These are episodes that show that the Church in Brussels, or at least some of its high-ranking representatives, has a tendency to self-mutilation and an urge to centralize power," NBQ said.

Conflicts at Synod are Being Downplayed by Most of the Press and the Vatican

Edit: the press has been virtually silent about the pederast enabling Cardinal Daneels.  Damian Thompson is looking past the synod toward younger and more sensible management.

Despite efforts to stifle any public revelation of what's actually going on, a Melkite Patriarch, Gregory Laham spoke up in the face of the heretical musings of the President of the Panamanian Bishops' Conference, according to Toronto Catholic Witness, who translates from the blog of Archbishop Stanislas Gadecki of Poland

"One should always speak of the "sacrament of matrimony" and not "marriage".  To show the spiritual beauty of marriage. To assist spouses one must show them the unchangeable, spiritual vision of matrimony. Many times we are not united with the positive vision of marriage and the family. Jesus corrected Moses. Dissoluble marriage is against its nature".

Even the Old Liberal Archbishop Coleridge states that an overwhelming majority of the Bishops are opposed to Communion for the remarried and divorced as reported by the evil John Allen at the Old Liberal, Crux from Boston Globe:

It’s very early, but based on your sense of where the synod stands right now, if the Kasper proposal for the divorced and remarried were put to a straight up or down vote, how would it go?I think it’s about 65-35 against, and it’s been clarified over the last year. I think there would certainly be a majority of bishops – this is a guess, but an informed guess – who would not favor the Kasper proposal.
Because they see it as touching the indissolubility of marriage? Not only that, but also the understanding of the Eucharist and of the Church. That’s a kind of Trinity, and if you touch one, you touch the lot. That said, there are all kinds of positions along the spectrum within that 65 percent who are against.
I’ll quote one bishop, and this scandalized me, who said, “This synod basically has to choose between the way of Jesus and the way of Walter Kasper.” [He's right.] It wasn’t in the public session, but it was said. I don’t scandalize easily, but that did it.

Did the Evil Puppet Masters of the World Financial Powers Shut Down Vatican Bank to Obtain Benedict's Resignation?

Edit: stripped wholesale from Orwell's Picnic. Let's not underestimate the effects of Vatileaks, which was certainly part of a multi-level attack against Pope Benedict that is decidedly anti-American, perhaps even more so than Pope Francis himself.

It wasn't enough that the exonerated Ettore Gotti-Tadeschi was under suspicion of corruption.

Indeed, if these details are confirmed, the ensuing scandal will cast a longer shadow on the Franciscan Papacy and the powers and principalities who now appear, with Cardinal Daneel's admissions which we touched on last year, bent on making the papacy a vehicle to create public consensus for social engineering on a global scale.  Man, if they could unmake a pope, they could certainly make one.

The journalist, Maurizio Blondet, who has broken this story is himself a Traditionalist Catholic, according to Italian Wiki.

Thanks to JEFF KLUMP who initially drew our attention to this interesting story.  Here's OP's contribution:

Ratzinger non poté “né vendere né comprare”
Ratzinger he could “neither sell nor buy”
Maurizio Blondet
.
Roughly translated by Google:
“Few know what SWIFT (the acronym stands for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) is: in theory, is a global “clearing house”, uniting 10,500 banks in 215 countries. In fact, is the most occult and sole center of American-globalist financial power, a bastion of blackmail on which the hegemony of the dollar, the most powerful means of political and economic espionage (to the detriment especially for us Europeans) and the means by which the most feared global finance breaks the legs of states that do not obey. …
“‘When a bank or territory is excluded from the system, as it did in the case of the Vatican in the days before the resignation of Benedict XVI in February 2013, all transactions are blocked. Without waiting for the election of Pope Bergoglio, the Swift system has been unlocked the announcement of the resignation of Benedict XVI.
“‘There was a blackmail come from who knows where, through SWIFT, exercised on Benedict XVI.The underlying reasons for this story have not been clarified, but it is clear that SWIFT has intervened directly in the management of affairs of the Church.’
This explains and justifies the unprecedented resignation of Ratzinger, that many of us have been able to exchange for an act of cowardice; the Church was treated as a state ‘terrorist’, but worse — because note that the dozen banks falling into the hands of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ‘are not excluded from SWIFT’ and continue to be able to make international transactions — and the Vatican finances could no longer pay the nunciature, to convey transport missions — in fact, the same ATM of Vatican City had been blocked.
The Church of Benedict could not ‘neither sell nor buy'; its own economic life was counted in hours.”

Yet Another Evil Old Liberal Cardinal Advocates Aberromarriage

Edit: Rorate Caeli says that the first Cardinal has been the retired Cardinal Daneels is the first to have expressed himself so openly on the subject of aberromarriage.  Of course, Cardinal Daneels employs a not very subtle equivocation, yet he isn't the first to have spoken so frankly.  The decadent Dutch enabler of sexual abuse isn't the first promoter of the sin that cries out to heaven for vengeance.  Cardinal Zollitsch did so last month in a very public statement largely ignore by the Catho-sphere, which opted instead to focus on his advocacy for women Deacons, a much smaller offense.

"He says to obey the law and not oppose gay marriage. 'We need to understand: The Church has never objected to the fact that there is a sort of 'marriage' between homosexuals – however  we're talking about a sort of marriage. This is not the same as the true marriage between a man and a woman, so we need to find another word for the dictionary. However, insofar as it is legal - that it has been rendered legitimate by law - the Church has nothing to say about it. (...) If a state opens civil marriage to homosexuals, then it the problem of that state.'

We reported ++Zolitsch's very damning statement on April 29th, where he advocated blessing these decadent unions:

Other reform proposals that Archbishop Zollitsch  would check and implement where possible, relate to Blessing Celebrations for same-sex couples and the possibility that women may preach in Sunday services.

Should Scandalous Old Liberal Cardinals Vote in the Conclave?

Archbishop Weakland, helping and the like.
Edit: it’s been a frequent lament here that it’s never really the truly Old Liberal Bishops who get rough treatment when abuse claims come around.  Even Archbishop Weakland had been allowed to sort of retain some semblance of dignity in his disgrace by having a hideous bronze statue made of himself in the presence of children.  That’s ironic, but there’s also a pattern developing in recent time which does not fit, exactly.

Now, there have been some interesting revelations over the past weeks in the wake of the Conclave involving very high profile senior clergy who are often darlings of the media barons of the Left.

First there was Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles who was severely reprimanded by the present Archbishop of Los Angeles, Archbishop Gomes.  Cardinal Mahony has been undermining the Church’s presence in society for most if not all of his tenure during the last decades, and was a frequent target of criticism from the Wanderer, among others for his defense of clerical homosexuals and persecution of conservative clergy.  Indeed, there is a suggestion that he may not participate in the Conclave, here, here, and petition here.

Then there enter Archbishop Mueller of Regensburg Germany, whose heterodox theological perspectives were criticized early on, even before he became the new Doctrine Gardener.  The now highly placed Archbishop, who didn’t receive his Cardinal’s hat, was recently slapped hard and publicly by Cardinal Bertone when he attempted to reinstate the teaching license of a formerly Pontifical university in Peru.

As if that weren’t enough, a soon to be retired, Old Liberal Cardinal O’Brien, has been accused of indecent acts by three priests and one retired priest.   This story seemed to surface with a vengeance in the light of the Cardinal’s revellations  about married priests, he thinks we should have them, and his statements against homosexuality.

The Cardinal even missed Mass this morning.

In addition to this, is a kind of anonymous denunciation on a free website on the internet for Cardinal Daneels.  It’s hard to believe that with all of the skeletons in his closet, well, he had pictures of skeletons in his closet, the exhumation of remains as reported by Cathcon:

Some photos of the exhumation of Julie and Melissa
Up to 100 photos showing the exhumation of the bodies of the children, but also exchanges of reports between magistrates in the Dutroux affair and large parts of the judicial file were found. The fact is that these documents were only intended for the judicial authorities and, a priori, had nothing to do with the church, explained RTL journalist.

This is not the first leak of elements of the judicial record of Dutroux according to Solimando Antonio. He recalls that Cdrom of the Dutroux investigation was sent to several editors, some who had decided to publish it. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the presence of those confidential files and reports to the archdiocese will once again support defenders of the theory of a paedophile network ... Even if, as a reminder, the court has ruled that it does not accept this theory.
There’s been nothing in the news since then about why these documents were in the Cardinal’s possession, but there’s much more in his past and present which implicates him.  Here’s the article, link:

Cardinal Danneels must not take part in the conclave!
Does this man have the moral authority to elect a new pope of the Catholic Church? NO, NO and NO!!! Take a look at a few of his "achievements" and judge for yourself:
Appointment and protection of Roger Vangheluwe, child molestor and bishop of Brugge
When he learnt about the child abuse he tried to cover it up. These were his words to the victim: "shouldn't you try to ask for forgiveness" (!!). He was actually suggesting that the victim would ask his aggressor for forgiveness! The tapes of the conversation were broadcast in all the Belgian media.
Approval of sexually explicit text books in Catholic schools
During his time as archbishop of Mechelen-Brussel, a scandal broke out about sexually explicit school books. Children of 12 years old in Catholic schools were being taught how to masturbate and try out homosexual acts. When confronted with these facts, he simply refused to receive the shocked parents and didn't take any action to stop the use of these books.
Turning a blind eye against blatant abuses
Fr. Luc Versteylen sj is a very famous person in Belgium. He's the founder of the extreme-leftwing (communist) political party Agalev and for many years led a sort of christian cultic sect in Viersel. In this house, mostly unmarried adolescents were encouraged to explore their sexuality. Fr. Versteylen himself is known to cohabitate with a woman, thereby publicly ignoring his priestly chastity vows. He recently also admitted to raping one of his female sect-members. Danneels never, ever took action against this man. One can confidently say that most Catholics in Belgium know of first-hand examples of priests ignoring their celibacy vows - these things are publically known. Some of these priests are even so proud of it that they like to be interviewed about it in the national newspapers. Yet bishops, whose duty it should be to maintain order, hardly ever took (take) action.
Good friends with the freemasonry
The freemasonry, an extremely powerful secret organisation priding itself with facilitating the legalisation of abortion, euthanasia and gay marriage in Belgium, is the biggest enemy of the Catholic Church. Instead of waging war against these demons, Danneels was good friends with them! He even went to give a lecture in one of their temples in 2008. If that is already out in the open, how much more relations may he have had which we know nothing about.
Condoms? No problem!
Danneels is clearly one of the most left-wing cardinals in the Church. He wants change, that's for sure. He knows how far he can go, but never formally trespasses the line. One perfect example: preservatives are morally legitimate if they are used by a married couple of which one of the two partners is sero-positive. While this is technically true, one can wonder whether it's up to someone in his position to make this kind of statements. He knows all too well how this will be transmitted in popular media: Danneels opposes the pope on birth control issue. Danneels is not stupid. He does this intentionally; he intentionally creates confusion amongst his faithful, while it's his duty to guard and protect his flock as a good sheperd.

Cardinal Daneels: Belgian Church must renounce self-centered mentality in response to abuse :: Catholic News Agency (CNA)

That's what we need more of; A man who was criminally negligent an remains unpunished making moral prescriptions for others.  If anyone's being self-centered, it's he.  He's not too ashamed to stand up there and talk about a "class mentality" in the Church.  Sure, it's clear that leftists are the most class conscious people in history,  but how about a little shame?

Cardinal Daneels presided over the worst destruction in the Church, he's actively and passively tried to undermine his more conservative successor, and it's quite clear that from his own activity, the Belgian church is practically dead.

How about a little shame, Lordship?  And slip quietly into the oblivion of retirement and thank your lucky stars you're basically untouchable.  It probably doesn't matter to you if you're actually engaged in concealing  real source of the problem.

The Church Will be Pilloried: Belgium

Editor's Comment: Considering the growing strangeness of the atmosphere, the rebelliousness of the Austrian Clergy, there are some other dark clouds. Many are crying for blood and are willing to strike down laws to get at the institution they are increasingly mischaracterizing as evil.

Freemasons -- against the Church?

The battle surrounding the police raids against the Church in Belgium is more heated -- Christian Democrats: The searches could be a masonic plot. The current investigating judge Wim De Troy is close with the leading freethinkers.

Brussels [Kath.net/KNA] In Belgium the director of the independent commission for the investigation of the abuse accusations by church employees, Peter Adriaenssens, was interviewed for five hours long by the judiciary. The child psychiatrist is a witness for the work of the commission and the dossiers under examination, reported the Belgian media on Tuesday. Further discussions will follow this week. The commission had decided to offer their resignations against the progress of the authorities. In the confiscation of the dossiers of abuse victims the members saw a breach of trust.

In the mean time, the battle over the reasonableness of the progress of judiciary on its major raid against Church property was very sharp on Tuesday. Abuse victims held the searches and seizures irresponsible. Liberal and Socialist politicians secured themselves against critics from the Vatican.

In broadcaster "Radio 1" the sociologist Jan Hertogen (63) who was abused as a young man maintains that the authorities have compromised data privacy and laws regarding personal privacy. He has brought his case to the knowledge of the commission, but did not want in any way the engagement of the judiciary. He made his complaints against the Adriaenssens-Commission, because they had not exactly protected his documents. He hopes to persuade the commission, in their own part, to proceed against the judiciary authorities.

The Flemmish Minister Jo Vanderuzen warned of a loss of trust by the victims. They had the choice, to turn to the judiciary or not. This decision must be condemned. Church authorities are exploring at the moment legal steps against the police action.

The liberal politician Denis Ducarme and the scholastically aligned Bruno Tuybens called the Foreign Minister Steven Vanackere, to demand [verlangen] respect from the Vatican for the political and legal institutions of the land. They reacted with that to the sharp criticism from the Vatican to the actions of the authorities. Vanackere dismissed the notion that he had invited the Nuncio, Archbishop Giacinto Berloco, personally to an "oopen and constructive conversation".

The attorney of Cardinal Godfried Danneels, Fernand Keuleneer, expressed doubt on the legality of the raid. It is not admissible to indiscriminately confiscate dossiers and then initially to ascertain after if they contain any incriminating documents, he said to "The Antwerp Gazette". The house searches have awakened the impression, that the Church will be pilloried.

Editor's Note: If this had been in the United States happening to just about any other organization, there would be an outcrry about the absolute absence of due process. Could this be a way for Cardinal Daneels to walk away without taking responsibillity for destroying the Church of Belgium through years of neglect and cooperation with evil? Of course, it isn't an accident that Belgium is about
to divide itself in parts.

Belgian Cardinal Accused of Ignoring Abuse Reports

BY JOHN W. MILLER
BRUSSELS—One of Europe's most respected clerics was accused over the weekend of ignoring reports of sexual abuse by the bishop of Bruges, who resigned last week over the scandal.

Belgium's Godfried Danneels, a retired cardinal who was once a contender for the papacy, was allegedly informed in the 1990s that Bishop Roger Vangheluwe, now 73, had molested a young man. Monsignor Vangheluwe admitted to the abuse last week, and Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation Friday.

The Dutch-language daily De Standaard reported on Friday that two former priests had personally informed Cardinal Danneels, 77, about Bishop Vangheluwe's abuse several times ...

Green Politician-Priest Promotes Homosexual Nuptials

In the past week, there was some rumpus when Father Germain Dufour, a Capuchin priest in Belgium conducted a sacrilegious and invalid matrimony service on Valentine's Eve. Some people still think that Cardinal Daneels is still running Belgium and were he, we'd be sure that nothing would be done and nothing would be said.

A few weeks after his appointment on 25 January, true to his name, +Leonard, the new Primate of Belgium, has spoken out against the outrage of homosexuality and invited once again the ire of the leftist press and, no doubt, many of his own priests, comparing the condition to the dietary-psychological disorder anorexia.

There's nothing as of yet of any disciplinary action against the Green Party activist and pro-homosexual priest, Fr. Dufour, but we expect it to come soon.

The Lion of Belgium Meets the Jackals

Today, there has been increased criticism of Archbishop Léonard from the Belgian State, rather like the criticism levelled against Fr. Wagner in Linz and one of Holy Father's other appointments in Basque Country Bishop Blasquez in 1995, and more recently in December of 2009.

Sure enough, he's being also criticized by the faculty of Louvain, criticized rather accurately through the years as a center of dissent:

Léonard has beene a controversial figure in Belgium for his critical stands on homosexuality, same-sex marriage and condom use. He has been an outspoken opponent of abortion and euthanasia, both of which are legal in Belgium, and criticised the Catholic universities of Leuven and Louvain for their research into assisted reproduction and embryonic stem cells.

Of course, their allies in the Socialist party were also eager to put in their conerns as well:

The Socialist Party said it “insists that Archbishop Léonard respects democratic decisions taken by the institutions of our country. For the Socialist Party, the rights and duties that people take on democratically take precedence over religious traditions and commandments, without any exception.”

Catholic Culture says this about the demographics of Belgium. We predict the current languishing of the vocations under the leadership of outgoing Cardinal Daneels will become a thing of the past under the new Archbishop's administration.

The nation of 7.8 million is 73% Catholic. It has 3,928 parishes, 6,489 priests, 11,771 sisters, and 201 seminarians. The ratio of seminarians to Catholics makes Belgium one of the world's most "vocation-poor" nations.
