Maybe you are referring to the Paul VI ferula designed by Scorzelli. <br /><br />The Pius IX ferula, made in 1877, is of gold and was used by Benedict XVI in the early days of Guido Marini and until he was given a new one by the Circolo Sn Pietro.<br /><br />I know that there'll be lots of Ferula talks in the coming days since a new one was given to Pope Francis.<br /><br />Please get your facts straight.
