Gohari, located directly across from CVS Pharmacy and Atlanta Bread Company on Greenbelt Road in Berwyn Heights, at about 3:30 in the afternoon. She stepped out, doused her body in gasoline and lit herself on fire, according to a Berwyn Heights Police Department report.

The woman, whose name police cannot reveal because of the pending investigation, was airlifted to the hospital after an off-duty state trooper stopped and used a fire extinguisher and blanket to aid the woman, who died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses described the scene as horrific and unforgettable, with flames spurting from the human fireball about 10 feet high. Senior psychology major Jonathan Agner said he and three other students were stuck at a red light at the intersection across from the clinic and Xtra Fuel Gas Station gas station with they noticed the fire.

"I see the flames and then I see it moving from one spot to the other," Agner said. "That made me realize it wasn't a car. I saw a person moving, and I sincerely could not believe it was reality. It was one of the most - if not the most - horrifying thing I have ever seen."

Passengers in bumper-to-bumper traffic, including a school bus full of children, also witnessed the suicide. Employees and passersby congregated outside the strip of shops opposite the clinic to watch the rescue.

Keena Williams, an employee at Atlanta Bread Company, said she "saw something orange" but thought it was a car fire at first.

"I was just in shock," she said. "I ain't never seen anything like that before. I was shaking."

Berwyn Heights Police Cpl. R. T. Hartnett, who was leading the investigation, said this is not the first time the woman had attempted a similar protest and said she had a long history of illness.

Other news outlets reported police found another can of gasoline and an envelope marked "Kerry" inside the woman's car and speculated it could have been addressed to pro-choice Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry. Hartnett could only confirm, however, the car contained a suicide note that "included views about abortion."

The clinic, a run-down building with a pink awning and residential apartments in the rear, has been the scene of several abortion protests, including weekly prayer meetings of a pro-life student group in 2000. The office is one of three affiliated with Metropolitan Family Planning Institute Inc., offering surgical abortions for up to 17 weeks of pregnancy, starting at $250, according to its website.

Tara Torchia, who coordinates the University Health Center's pregnancy counseling, said several students have had successful experiences with Metropolitan Family Planning Center and the health center recommends its services. It also offers a student discount.

http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=297455Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4404498638452030181.post-14294773073996721392015-07-16T08:18:15.113-07:002015-07-16T08:18:15.113-07:00I can't believe the ground under his feet didn...I can't believe the ground under his feet didn't open up to swallow him ala Korah and his rebellion.susannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4404498638452030181.post-3492471282746787972015-07-16T06:48:59.739-07:002015-07-16T06:48:59.739-07:00And that was 2013, a lot can change in two years. ...And that was 2013, a lot can change in two years. Wasn't Kerry in September 2013 hot to bomb Syria back to the stone age?
After Kerry's visit a dutiful Archbishop of Vienna perhaps would consider a reconsecration of the cathedral was in order. However, with Cardinal Schonborn in charge we needn't hold our breath waiting.
G.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4404498638452030181.post-68172005184132035812015-07-15T20:05:24.084-07:002015-07-15T20:05:24.084-07:00Please give Kerry the benefit of the doubt.
