Cardinal Turkson: “There Are Bad Priests, — And Holy Priests”

Curial Cardinal: In the face of sexual abuse by clerics there is a "temptation" to generalize, but "one must not pour the child out with the bathwater".

Vatican (kath.net/pl) "We know there are bad priests ... but we also know that there are very holy priests." In the face of sexual abuse by clerics there is a "temptation" to generalize, but "one does not pour the baby out with the bathwater.” This was said by Cardinal Peter Turkson, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Integral Development of Man, in an interview with a Polish TV channel, as "Crux now" reported. He also recalled that the Church "is far greater than any priest, bishop, or pope who serve at one time," referring to Christ.

The current Synod of Bishops is faced with a plethora of challenges, the papal counselor explained, because they are in the midst of an abuse crisis, whose victims are mostly young people.

I have met and interacted with some very holy priests. The problem is that the "bad bois" have taken over the "power room". The generators are still there with plenty of juice. However, they are turned on and off to confuse the faithful with sporadic sources of grace.---As the Third Secret has allegedly stated, the devil is making his presence felt through mass confusion. At the very least, Francis is not a good leader and is appealing to the baser instincts of society in order to implement his dream of a one world socialist government. The "gay lobby" was known to have blocked John Paul II. ---They have merged their support with and for Francis. This is the source for all of the current problems in what is left of the Church. The obvious change in the moral code is evident in "Amoris Laetitia" and its alleged allowance of fornication, adultery, and sodomy.---Instead of preaching the Gospel, we have a pontiff who is redefining the rules. Not only is he destroying tradition, he is also mitigating the influence of Scripture. Scripture is the holy word of God. Christ was not a sociologist with a Jesuit tattoo. He was and is the Son of God who came with a message from his Father. "I have not come to do away with the Old Law but to fulfill it".

What a crock of ill informed, ambit allegations and personal invective that leads nowhere but deeper into hopeless inertia and paralysis.

Ill-informed and malformed sort of sums you up, Feybriel.

The elephant in the room is the formation of the priest. For example the sspx and others have it right the universal mass of all time is the mass that filled the Catholic churches until the homosexuals took control of the vatican from the top down now it has spread like a cancer throughout the churches .

Sad but true

True, and the Mass of all times is also the cure for the present crisis in the Church. I read a statement on the crisis put out by the SSPX, available on their website, that assured the faithful that no men with homosexual attractions shall be allowed in their seminaries. Moreover, if any seminarian or priest with credible and proven acts of sodomy prior to entering the seminary will be emediately dismissed or liacized. That is strong medicine but necessary.
