Steubenville Fires Evil Leftist English Prof

Edit: another USCCB- friendly blogger and leftist barnacle.

Update: The Franciscan University of Steubenville has assured LifeSiteNews that Rebecca Bratten Weiss is no longer teaching at the university.
Update 2, 5:45 PM Eastern: Franciscan University's Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Daniel Kempton, sent a statement that is reproduced in full at the bottom of the article.
September 14, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – One of the greatest threats to the prolife movement in the past 40 years has been the “Seamless Garment.” It’s a strategy and a slogan aimed at dissolving prolife sentiment like a pinch of salt in a vast swimming pool of almost unrelated issues. The heart of the life issue is simple: Should the government let individuals take human lives in pursuit of their sexual freedom? That’s what abortion is. It was foisted on America by unelected judges, and dangled out of the reach of citizens and voters. So laymen rose up, with a little assistance from clergy, and chose to fight. In much the same way, 150 years ago, Christians looked at the unjust laws permitting slavery, and formed the abolitionist movement.
And today as in 1830, many chose not to fight. They were too addicted to a cozy relationship with liberal politicians, who promised to take the burden of the corporal works of mercy away from Christians—handing them over to the government and the taxpayer. So they wouldn’t do the obvious thing—and reject those politicians. Instead they developed the elaborate, tortured rationalization that we call the Seamless Garment. 1. Infiltrators within Academia is nothing new. Kelly Anne Conway graduated magna cum laude from Trinity College in DC you would think the TC President would show at least a modicum of respect and pride of such accomplishments. Sadly no.

Infiltrators are now within all Campuses, Convents, Monasteries, Dioceses any and ALL Catholic Organizations - for instance especially through IT services a weak spot that Organizations need. Additionally, all Priests are heavily monitored; the good ones more than the bad ones. Bella Dodd the Jewish Convert warned us long ago of infiltrators but it is far wide spread and global now. Information on activiities, names, etc.. data is gathered and sent to the AI and Quantum Computers in order to calculate output later against the Church. Brave New World indeed.

    1. This comment is one of the most insightful that I have ever read. Here in Missouri and across the river in Belleville, schools are being placed in groups of three as regional entities. They are socialist in nature and pc in output. That is where the monitoring comes in and a data base is formed. Teachers and children are evaluated for the New World Order and evaluations are placed in files for access by those privileged to be involved with the formation of a socialist society.

    2. Insightful with a healthy dose of fearlessness as well. And regarding this quantum-computing data-mining about which we write, Israel is stealing high technology via a decades-long operation they call TALPIOT. Military and industrial technology is exfiltrated from Silicon Valley to a place known as SILICON WADI. You get one guess as to where that is! From there they sell the high tech to the highest bidder, and private Israeli cyber-security firms market themselves out, using these same hardware/software products, to manage security over other nations' critical infrastructure.

In short, guess who captures and looks at all our data (every phone, call, e-mail text message) before streaming it over to deep-state!

They even can mess real-time with your keystrokes in comments on blogs like Epony&*&+=(&^%$#@*?^#

    1. Please explain how abolition is connected to abortion? Yes, a Catholic black and white have equal dignity. But dignity is earned. And people who if given freedom might be given a freedom that one may not be prepared to receive and may abuse it. The Protestant/Masonic black American supports abortion, and is so often a slave to his/her addictions, passions, and ideologies today because the slavery issue was not thought out properly. And as slaves of a political party puts all the US and Europe in danger of falling into slavery of leftist and antifamily rulers claiming moral highground. Freedom is a responsibilty and cannot be run by either whites or blacks that have a nonCatholic conscience; A false conscience, not guided by the Church's complete and correct understanding of nature and supernature,is either misinformed or malformed and puts all society in danger. Just as children and mentally -challenged are not ready to participate in full adult life, the same is true for those who demand equality.

    2. @Constantine: Now, you are seeing it. Are you that surprised? Be honest now. It is all "Brave New World" where information technology is being used to form a new socialist elite. P. Francis is in league with the "devil and the deep blue sea" of the Democrats.

  3. Rebecca Weiss...hmmm. Well the name should have been a dead giveaway. Why are we hiring those who have rejected Logos to teach at Catholic universities? Let me be frank, any Jew seeking a position at a Catholic university should be seen as a defacto infiltrator.

    1. This is a terrible comment. Ignorant as well. The woman is not Jewish. And even if she were, it would be unimportant. Your anti-Semitism is unbecoming a Catholic.

  4. @ JBQ I never thought we disagreed. Of course, Pope Francis just follows a whole line of thinking from not only the Civil War, but from even the founding of this United States of America.Technology and Education (which the Catholic Church transmitted for centuries and was mother of) came under the control of the ProEnlightenment PseudoIntelligencia with progressivist clergy even before Vatican II surrendering our educational institutions to the modernist world.

  7. Some of the comments here are reprehensible. The woman is catholic!

I don't think things are as cut and dried as people think. the Lifesite news piece sounds like a piece of character assasination, taken wholly a part from the merits of the new prolife position.

    https://scottericalt.wordpress.com/2017/09/16/lifesitenews-falsely-acuses-new-pro-life-movement-of-liberal-boilerplate/

The real story is how all the so called catholic universities are just as willing as their secular counterparts to hire people far below a living wage for years at a time. RW was an adjunct for 11 years before she got the ax. such people live with no health insurance, no job security, and low pay.

  8. I think the key issue is one in which Rebecca Bratten Weiss (RBW) received no due process as an employee. For many years Franciscan University has "investigated" RBW, due to allegations made by the wives of two key employees who are sisters. One accuser is the wife of a Theology faculty. The other accuser is the wife of the VP for Student Life. These two sisters found one of their younger sisters taking a class from RBW years ago, and the sisters together did not like RBW. Since then these sisters posted on Facebook and otherwise communicated their dislike for RBW.

Since the younder of the three sister's took RBW, there have been multiple "investigations" of RBW. In none of the multiple investigations was RBW ever even informed, until she was dismissed. Instead, these investigations were done in secret. RBW was never advised, coached, counseled, offed a hearing of her views, explanations or intentions. This seems to be the real issue: reasonable due process and an aim for correction and improvement if the employee was off base. It would be very Catholic and Franciscan to have offered due process and coaching vs secret multiple investigations and summary dismissal.

Also RBW is Roman Catholic, we need basic decency in these posts. What I say here is factually true. It can be shown by asking the faculty and staff at Franciscan University to give testimony or evidence. Let's focus on truth spoken in charity. (Just like the University should have, with due process to RBW). Even if the end result was still dismissal of her as an adjunct, the process would have honored her dignity as a person and protected the University's reputation for academic freedom with integrity and responsibility. Academic freedom should never be absolute, but it should be protected with due process.
