Criticizing Pope Francis an Excommunicable Offense?

Edit: Insane. Mercy for everyone, as long as you're not Catholic.

[Vatican] They will also receive from the Holy Father the authority to pardon “even those sins reserved to the Holy See” (Bull of Indiction, n. 18). These sins include: Violation or profanation of the Holy Eucharist (CIC 1367), which the archbishop says occurs “much more frequently that one might think”; Absolution of an accomplice in a sin against the sixth commandment (CIC 1378); Unauthorized ordination of a bishop, which penalty is incurred by both the ordaining bishop and by the bishop who is ordained (CIC 1382); Direct violation by a confessor of the seal of confession (CIC 1388), which Archbishop Fisichella called “one of the most precious elements that the Church possesses”; and physical violence on the Roman Pontiff (CIC 1370).

Regarding what constitutes “physical violence” against the Pope, Archbishop Fisichella told journalists at Friday’s briefing: “I would say that we need to understand well ‘physical violence,’ because sometimes words, too, are rocks and stones, and therefore I believe some of these sins, too, are far more widespread than we might think.”

Citing the letter Pope Francis addressed to him in early September, outlining several points he wished to focus on in Year of Mercy, the archbishop reiterated that the Pope will extend to all priests, for the Jubilee Year, “the discretion to absolve of the sin of abortion those who have procured it and who, with contrite heart, seek forgiveness for it.”

Finally, he underscored that the Missionaries of Mercy “are appointed exclusively by the Holy Father, and that the faculty of forgiving reserved sins will be given to each one of them personally.”

  1. The false prophet excommunicates himself with every blasphemy and lie that comes from his mouth. Immaculate heart of Mary ora pro nobis. Who knows what horrors the prophet of the god of surprises has in store in this year of false mercy. Beware of the ss missionaries of mercy.

  2. The Pope and Fischiella just hung themselves with this little bit. There is no prededent for such garbage. It is the act of the desperate, cornered animal.
Keep attacking the Pope verbally all Faithful Catholics. Keep up the fight, we are winning or else they would not resort to such tactics.
More pressure, more protests, more argument, more articiles. Reveal the Truth...expose Francis and his gang like Fischiella.
The "Holy Year will be a disaster. After it, Francis will be either dead from disgrace, or forced out by a growing tidal wave of objecton to him.
This bit has just hurt him a lot more than he knows.
There will eb an enormous outrage form good Catholics over this.
    Francis; hasn't seen anything yet!!

  4. I agree, I'm reposting this here since it disappeared from the National Catholic Register comments section on the article regarding Francis airplane interview: Francis, "In the Catholic Church we have some – many – who believe they possess the absolute truth and they go on sullying others through slander and defamation and this is wrong. I say this because it is my Church. Religious fundamentalism must be combatted. It is not religious, God is lacking, it is idolatrous. "

My comment, Simon says go, stop, back, full turn, to the left, to the right; slander and defamation, that's just too kind. I once was a good little sheep, letting out just one or two bleeps, now I'm a sheep with a bleep disorder cause by being a religious fundy, truth Goddess, ruthless, combatted catholic, the beast has come out. My Church is playing simons says and pin the tail on the donkey.

*Francis has an open Mic, the sheep, a few bleep sites.

  5. No, but trying to "excommunitate" FAITHFUL Catholics is damnable.

  6. I wonder how much it costs to get the personal mercy of the pope from one of his 80+ personal bagmen:

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/11/04/explosive-new-book-vatican-sainthood-costs-550k.html

On the other hand maybe you have to turn around and bend over (or let your teen son be alone w/"the confessor" for a few hours) etc.

Do you get a certificate? Or do you just go around and tell everyone I went to the pope's personal confessor and he told me I could do whatever I want and be a bigwig in the parish so don't mess w/me.

  7. If PF is going to excommunicate us all there won't be many left to partake in his Year of Mercy. The only mercy that needs to be extended immediately is that of restoring TLM in all Catholic parishes of the world together with the seven sacraments, guarding the Deposit of Faith and keeping with Tradition. If this Papacy can't or won't comply, they are not fit for purpose and we should excommunicate them forthwith.

  8. This so-called pope is SUCH A JOKE... This kind of approach is only proving his stupidity, insecurity and TOTAL LACK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!

This EXCOMMUNICATION OF HIS - just rings the bells: "You must never deny My Word – for anyone. No one, even if they are dressed in the linens of the elite within the hierarchy of My Church, a pauper, a king or a prince – anyone who demands that you accept a new doctrine pertaining to My Word does not come from Me.

My Church is being demolished discreetly from within and each part is being dismantled. As the tiers are pulled down and loyal servants discarded – and then deemed to be no longer useful – the way will be cleared for the doctrines from Hell to be pronounced.

Woe to priests, bishops and cardinals, who dare to defend the Word of God, for they will suffer the most. While some will be EXCOMMUNICATE and accused of heresy – though they will only speak up for the True Word of God – others will be too weak. Many poor sacred servants will give into the pressure to denounce the Laws of God. If they do not agree to embrace the doctrine of lies, they will be thrown to the wolves. Those, whose faith will have already weakened and who love worldly things and who have a fierce ambition in their souls, will be the first in the queue to swear allegiance to the new ‘pledge’."

  9. We are Catholics, who adhere fully to the Deposit of Faith. We are not in communion with heretics and apostates who've adopted their own false religion, far removed from the One True Faith. Their father is the Father of Lies - they speak not a word of truth; what is false is true, according to such wicked men, what is evil is good and what is good, evil. Lord, save us from these wicked wolves!

  10. Francis won't be here for all that much longer, but Fischiella just sunk his chances for any promotion with this little pathetic act of his today.
Rather thanputting fear in people, as far as I have read so far, the outrange from various corners is overwhelming. And it's all directed at Francis.
Good riddance. And so much for a happy and successful Holy Year.
Ifanyon ever wants to see what a real Holy Year is/was like, I suggest you go onto Google, pick the video tab, and type in "Holy Year 1950" Then we had a real Church, a real Mass, and a real Pope !!

  11. Maybe we prefer to be excommunicated from a place bereft of truth, where "yes" is not "yes" and "no" is not "no"?

Where is Christ? Where one or two gather in His name. But when they claim to be Christians but speak no clear truth, then: 1.Christ is not with them, because Christ is Truth: 2.Christ lied, and He exists where wishful thinking demands Him to be.

On criticizing the Pope- maybe people will think St. Paul should have been excommunicated for resisting St. Peter in insisting gentiles should be circumcised in order to be Christians?

  12. If the Faithful Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops and Clergy do not STAND UP NOW, they might as well throw in the towel and remove their vestments and get a day job for all the good they are doing within the Church.
Aiming broadsides at this pope via letters and proclamations on blogs and websites simply is not working. There ARE protocols for depositioning a false and heretical pope - these steps are known only too well to the Cardinals, et al. For MERCY's sake, DO SOMETHING, you so-called faithful Church Leaders before the sheep scatter to other pastures. The smell of this Pope's tenure has become unbearable!

  13. What an honor it would be to be personally excommunicated by Frankenpope!! As Laurence England says---"I want my excommunication in Latin."

  15. excommunication by a scion of satan....that's rich.

francis is getting desperate...trying to appropriate the sin of blasphemy against God Almighty for himself.

"Let no one deceive you in anyway; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God....The coming of the lawless one by the activity of satan will be with all power and with pretend signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

  16. Even if this were true he's have to actually BE pope first no? Oops, was that a criticism?

    1. Yeah....cause francis had nothing to do with the public statement....nuuuuuuthing. zip, zero zilch, nada. Just like he had nothing to do with the pre-written sin-nod-al exhortation, making kabuki theatre of the whole process; just like he had nothing to do with the back-door machinations that went on there (even though he had 'secret' meetings with his hand-picked sin-nod capos); just like he had nothing to do with...well, you get the idea. But we all already know; you get the idea.

Tancred, I thought you had gotten rid of the weasel gaybriel....guess not.

    2. Pope Francis is the Pope of Fatima! The 3 Holy Children prayed and did penances for him while Trads, Neo-Cons, and even leftists ( (his former friends) throw stones. The criticism is over blown and over the top- ¨he doesn´t kneel or he likes ice cream or he had a sumptuous dinner, etc... just pray for him like the 3 Saintly children. http://www.suscipedomine.com/forum/index.php?topic=12823.0

    3. francis is the pope of St. Francis' last prophecy....get a clue wormtongue. Your willed blindness to the antiCatholic religion that francis is setting up is EXACTLY what St. Paul references in the quote from 2 Thes. above.

    4. Francis is the usurper of Abbe Souffrant's prophecy or the destroyer of Saint Francis's prophecy. Either one, same guy and it doesn't take too much discernment, just pray the rosary daily, if you want to pray for Francis, sure go for it but pray all the more for those victims of false "mercy".

    5. Also, should have written my statement above more clearly (Even if this were true)
What I meant was even if this were true that one could be excommunicated by criticizing a "pope", it would not even be applicable in this case which is the humorous part of the whole thing.

It's about as absurd as saying "if a pig flies past you, it's a COW!"
      A: Pigs don't fly
      B. Even if it could fly it would still be a pig

  17. This is Modernist garbage who do not know the Faith. Did St Catherine of Siena get excommunicated for criticizing the Pope now. It was OK for the late Cardinal Carlo Martini to Criticize the St.Pope John Paul II. Was he excommunicated. No. Rest my case.

  19. The usual Modernis/Liberal "tolerance": agree with us or be silent; else we'll chop off your head. It is on the ignorance and silence and shameful self-justification under the guise of false obedience of Catholics that the heretics that St. Pius X warned us about have had their almost total victory, at least for now. We need more Catholics who are real and real women and who will not shut up nor hesitate to work for the end of this Modernist tyranny. RC
