Rome Informed by Nunciature --- Till Now No Reaction to Illicit Ordination

Bishop Williamson and Jean-Michel Faure, Dressed
as a Bishop
(Brasilia / Rome) This past March 19th, Bishop Richard Williamson, who is excluded from the SSPX, has confected an illicit episcopal ordination in Brazil. The Nunciature in Brazil informed the Vatican in advance. To date, it has not received any response from Rome.
Even before the consecration took place, Msgr. Gouvêa Mattoso Edney, Bishop of the Diocese of Nova Friburgo, informed the clergy and faithful in his diocese in a pastoral letter informed and invited them not to participate in any way in the illicit consecration.
At the same time the Brazilian Diocese informed the Apostolic Nunciature about the illicit episcopal ordination by the "British Bishop Richard Williamson" in the convent of Santa Cruz. The Nunciature immediately passed  the report to the Vatican.
As the Brazilian press agency Estadao reported, no response was given to the Nunciature "from the representatives of the Catholic Church" in Rome and there has been no reaction to date on the diocese message.
Bishop Williamson also consecrated the  priest Jean-Michel Fauré without the permission of the Pope as Bishop. The Fraternity founded by Archbishop Lefebvre distanced himself by the illegitimate episcopal ordination of their former brethren.
As Secretum meum mihi reported, meanwhile, Fauré has offered his first priestly ordination on Saturday as a bishop and has ordained a monk, André Zelaya as a priest.

  1. Oddly, perhaps, I'm not sure this Pope really cares.

  2. "Illicit", according to whom? Many readers will confuse 'illicit' with 'invalid', two completely different concepts.

    1. How very patronising. I think you underestimate the intellect readership of this blog; why do you suppose "many" of us will confuse illicit with invalid? What a silly comment to have made

    2. Many in fact do confuse "illicit" with "invalid". I know many who hold that the Tridentine Mass is not a real Mass on the grounds that it is illicit. They confuse and don't understand the difference between illicit and invalid.

    3. Unfortunately, I don't make people jump through too many hoops to comment anonymously. A few of them probably aren't capable of understanding the difference between a meaningful comment and one which isn't meaningful. Anonymous 4:16, for example.

    4. I agree, illicit according to whom? Probably the only opinion I would trust at this point is Fr. Hesse's and he's not around to tell us.

  3. What Bishop Williamson done is wrong. But out of bad, God brings forth good. Let this be a slap in the face to Modernists. As this act of an illicit Consecration is the result of their hatred and their sabotaging the Usus Antiquior.

    1. What Williamson has done is to cement his status as a schismatic. The rest of the post is in the non sequitur department.

    2. Gabriel, Wake up! the worse schismatics in the Church today are in Rome. Its official Gabriel, the Modernists are in schism, just learn to accept it.

    3. Schism is a sin against charity and Williamson has always triumphed judgement over mercy, even in his seminary days. Bp. Williamson formed a schism within the SSPX because it wasn't being schismatic enough towards Rome.

Schism has the same root word as schizophrenic, meaning "to split". Williamson is also a conspiracy theorist who believes holographic airplanes flew into the world trade centers, that the holocaust never happened and would start talking about the JFK assassination while teaching classes at seminary.

Williamson is not mentally healthy or is under demonic influence. The only good thing that came out of all this is that all the angry, toxic, conspiracy fanatics have left the FSSPX.

It's only a matter of time before the Resistance becomes openly sedevacantist. Most of the Resistance priests in South America don't pray for pope Francis in the Mass.

  4. Yes, this is true. Had there not been the disaster of Vatican II and the fabricated, protestant inspired NOVUS ORDO created to replace the Tridentine Latin Mass, Archbishop Lebfebvre would not have needed to found the SSPX and would probably have died a very holy, esteemed former Superior General of the Holy Ghost Fathers. Bishop Williamson would probably just have been a priest happy to serve in a parish.

Did anyone see Pope Francis at today's Good Friday Liturgy.....he looked terrible, and needed assistance to rise from his seat and to kneel. I know he had leg and knee problems, but physicially he is in decline. You can see it in his face sometimes. He sat in his throne an expressionless lump, and from time to time looked either exhausted, or in actual pain.

    1. During Holy Week last year, many noted the same thing. However, I'm reluctant to put too much value in it. No doubt, Bergoglio is not in tip-top shape, but I think his fast paced life for a 78 year old, his one lung, his weight gain, and his sciatica likely all contribute the illusion of poor health. The limp he has only makes it appear worse. Regrettably, due to the direction he's taking the Church, I think he'll be around for quite some time.

  5. Of course he looked to be in pain.... Sadly, that is his standard expression whenever he has to do anything remotely Catholic.

    1. He's frail because he has part of one lung removed years ago, chronic knee pain and he's going on eighty as he leads the Catholic people in faith and loyalty to the Tradition, despite the disgruntlement, irritation and resentment of some.

    2. I watched a bit of the Easter Vigil Mass from Rome and didn't see much to suggest the Pope's health was failing. Yes, he's fatter and slumps while seated, but I didn't notice much aging in his face while he delivered his homily.

  7. I think Garbiel says whay he says deliberately just to get a rise out of some people, knowhing what most traditional or orthodox Catholics think of Francis.
We have people like that in my office who like to needle people just to get a reaction. Unfortunatle but true. They have nothing to contribute, so they like to annoy others who do.

  8. I'm not sure what this "Jean-Michel Faure, Dressed as a Bishop" is supposed to mean.
Are you suggesting that the consecration was invalid, as opposed to illicit?

    1. Clearly he was suggesting that they were invalid because Williamson is a Rothschild financed agent working under MI6. Have you ever wondered why he hasn't publicly denounced vaccinations? It's because he wants every traditionalist to be implanted by the nanobots contained in the vaccines, nanobots created by Nazis during WW2 while the Holocaust wasn't happening. Wake up! It's time to join the CMRI Resistance! (note: do not join the neo-CMRI pseudo-sedevacantists, they are controlled by the Jews).

  9. Didn't Francis refer to Protestant Tony Palmer as his "brother bishop"? Or can't a validly (possibly illicitly) ordained Catholic bishop be Francis' brother bishop too?

  10. I never thought I would support Williamson, but now, I support him even more. I now fully admit that the Church in Rome is in schism, much like when Athanasius lived. This is what our Lord means when He asks if He will see faith. The righteous will be lampooned and ridiculed by the useful idiots disguised as sheep. These so-called sheep stand arm in arm with popes who allow the Church to be demolished by modernism. Are their arms tied, or are they popes? If their arms are not tied, then it means they necessarily want to see the church continue to sink into modernism, because they want to cultivate a one-world religion of "peace" and "harmony" under the false banner of "charity". Now, that is an illusion which I cannot in good conscience be part of. I stand for the rights of Christ and the Church which must not be mocked! It is one thing to sin in private or to promote evil in private, but all our shame is exposed and it is hard to deny that the wolves are the ones wearing purple, red and white.

    1. In addition, I think Bsp. Fellay has compromised severly, which is why there has been a jump from the ship. They have capitulated to Rome implicitly. This will become more evident in the future. It's not wise to stay tuned--to wait and see--action must be taken. Read all the documents between Rome and the SSPX and the letter of the 3 bishops to Fellay, and the last writings of Lefebvre. Rome has lost the faith. It was prophesied by Our lady of Quito and Our lady of La Salette. We must be vigil and keep watch, lest we get swallowed.
