Pope Receives Transexual With "Girlfriend" -- Papal Approach to the Mainstream?

(Rome) This past weekend, Pope Francis received the Spanish Transgender, Diego Neria Lajarraga. This was reported by the Spanish newspaper Hoy in its Monday edition. Diego is actually a woman and has gained the masculine given name after a sex change. Pope Francis received Diego with his girlfriend.
According to the transsexuals they received a phone call from Pope Francis on Christmas Eve 2014. At the weekend she was now the guest of the head of the Catholic Church in Santa Marta Guest House, received in audience at the Vatican. Neria Lajarraga describes themselves as "practicing Catholics".

Letter to the Pope, the Pope Phone Call and Audience

Last fall, she had written the Pope  a letter complaining that she will be "excluded" as a "practicing Catholic" in her home parish in the Spanish city of Plasencia, since she had undergone a sex change. A priest, said Diego Neria Lajarraga,  even insulted  her as a "daughter of the devil".
Pope Francis read the letter, picked up the phone and invited the   Spaniard and her "girlfriend" in the Vatican. There was no official audience, but one of the many non-protocol-related meetings at which the pontificate of the Argentine Pope is so rich. As the newspaper "Hoy" writes, Diego turned to the Pope because she felt that he would listen to her. Whether Diego also listened to the Pope, is not known. Is not known, nor what the Pope  said to the  woman. All information  has been submitted by Diego Neria Lajarraga. The Holy See did not share even   that the encounter took place.

Catholic Media Goes Silent - Except the German

While the Vatican media are silent, the German section of Vatican Radio [They're probably wildly jubilant.] is the only one who reported on the out-of protocol audience: "Transgender Man Received by Pope" after previously the official Catholic media agencies had adopted in German-speaking countries on the topic.
"The meeting took place against the background of a perceived change of course by some observers to the Vatican Catholic lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT). LGBT lobbying groups have repeatedly emphasized that since taking office two years ago, Francis' moderate tone  would be expressed from the Vatican  in the view of the relevant issues," says ORF online report.

Chronology of a "Rapprochement"

With the promotion of a homosexual [pederast?] priest for personal confidant of the Pope, according to the statement on homosexuality, "Who am I to judge?" And after trying to insert into the synod paper on the family an "opening" toward homosexuality,  the approach between Pope Francis and mainstream has gone further. This is, in any event, the signal as it has been received and distributed by the media. Even the Catholic. The Catholic teaching on homosexuality remains by   the way. It is not mentioned. Pope Francis knows how much  to select his interlocutors who are media-friendly and worthy of applause.

  2. Transgendered individuals should be treated rightfully with compassion. However, this appears just one more indication of the move toward acceptance of gay marriage. Even the often maligned Cardinal Burke recruited a transgender woman to become a nun.

    1. Card. Burke did not intentionally do so, though.

  3. If you have XX chromosomes, you're a woman.
If you have XY chromosomes, you're a man.

    It's basic science.

Gender Identity Disorder is a mental sickness and should be treated as such. When a person mutilates their genitals and pumps themselves with hormones they commit a heinous crime against God.

This is disturbing, absolutely disturbing. Jorge Bergoglio should no longer be given the privilege of bearing the name of Francis, a name which he defiles and contradicts. He should be refereed to as Pope Nero.

  4. Personally speaking,no disrespect intended,he is taking Vatican 2 documents/ideaology to its logical conclusion.'It's all good' should replace "no salvation outside the church."

  5. What about carrying out the mission of the Church, as given by Our Lord? Does anyone really believe he helped these individuals leave their life of mortal sin and turn towards the offer of salvation? It could have been a teaching opportunity, to tell the truth to millions; instead it has probably scandalised and misled millions. What must the persecuted FFI, orthodox priests, bishops, and lay people do to get any attention or help from this wicked pope? What about all those suffering for the Faith, and the cause of right? - when will they get the help and defence of the leader of the Church? Has Asia Bibi had an answer to her letters yet?? And all the other Asia Bibis? Lord, help us. Forgive us. Let your justice be done!

    1. There was a very very public rebuke for the woman had given birth to 8 children via Caesarean section. 'Tempting God' she did, said Francis. Scolded her in public I believe.

These two folks get a private papal audience. Vatican responds with 'no comment'. No warning issued in respect of their 'health', spiritual or physical.

Lots of comments about the heroic mother though.

I suspect going through gender mutilation or 'transformation' involved serious surgical risks.

    3. Sorry, but I've got to disagree Liam Ronan and Susan.

Surely a Catholic cannot have so much sex, they 'sex' one of the spouses to 'almost' death. I have no time for Catholic men that have caused their wives to birth so much so as to cause their wives' premature deaths.

There is moderation and temperance. There is lust and chaste married love. To sex your wife to death is not loving and irresponsible parenting, especially if it leaves many children without their natural mother who would always have their best interests at heart.

    4. I've written to the Bishop of Rome at least ten times. I gave my address and phone number. I'm still waiting for a reply. It might be because I'm a (Traditional) Catholic that my sincere, heartfelt letters will go unanswered.

    5. Dear Damask Rose and fellow time travelers,

Welcome to the year 2015! Things have changed drastically since the 11th century. C-sections are safer than ever and are usually done under the supervision and diagnosis of a doctor. Depending on a woman's ability to heal after surgery, a woman can have 3 to 10 c-sections that are completely healthy to the mother and child. Wow, science!

In all seriousness, you have to know your partners sex drive before marriage. Not everyone is a cold fish; not every woman is a J.A.P and not every man is a W.A.S.P. If you marry a southern European or a Nigerian you better be ready to "be fruitful and multiply". If you can't copulate with a Latin Lover, get yourself an English Patient.

Are you Novus Ordo? I'm curious because your views on sex and child birth are identical to 99.98% of Novus Ordo women I've met. I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, I just find that whole phenomena fascinating, it can't be by accident and I'm genuinely interested as to why that meme exists among Novus Ordo women.

    6. Mary Kay, I remember a bishop who wrote something to the effect that "the Vatican loves letters." Or maybe he was writing about diocesan chanceries. In either case, especially if you have an Irish sense of humor, you'll get the drift.

You read all THAT into Francis' fuzzy account of his rebuke of the woman who had 8 C-sections? Carumba!

Worse, you insinuate that I (and Susan) champion the bestial straw man you concocted within your narrative. Grossly unfair and off the mark by a mile.

  6. The one good thing about this heretic Pope and his actions, is that more people who had been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, along with people who were always suspicious of him...now are totally against him.
I read that 90% of the Vatican Curia is against him and hate him. Good. It is totally deserved. I read that many cardinals who votied for him had no idea who he was, what he stood for, and are now sorry they did vote for him. Good.
Maybe if he pushes the envelope too hard, a huge force of good cardinals and Vatican Curia and faithful Catholics will push back and force him out.
Francis must go....along with Cardinals Mariadiaga SDB, and Dolan, Kasper, bishop Forte, Monsignor Ricca, etc, etc.

    1. Do not be deceived, Francis disappointed some (probably the americans), but the majority of cardinals that elected him from Latin America and Europe(mainly) knew exactly where the Church would go...

  7. That's the proof that the Holy Spirit had nothing to do with his election, vatican curia has what deserves, the tragedy is that all of us must suffer because of their wicked choice.

Well, we all suffer because of the wicked choice of our first parents, so this is nothing new. It isn't as if we do not know what to do with the suffering and we do not suffer alone. Christ suffers with us, especially in the Eucharist. If we are offended and outraged by Francis and Company, how much more Heaven?!

This is a great time to be Catholic and prove our love for Our Lord. It is a blessing to be given this penance! Who wants to live an easy life and die an easy death when there are so many souls at Hell's gate? Including perhaps our own! What is this suffering compared to Catholics in China and other parts of the world? If they are Faithful they share in our horrors of an apostate Rome. At least all our other basic needs are met as we fight to live the Faith and hand it on to others.

God obviously has faith in this remnant army of His or He would not have chosen that we be born to these times. I am going to try my best to be worthy of the honor. I'm sure I won't be alone.

God did not leave us orphans. Thank God for the Society of Saint Pius X.

  11. If the Pope phoned this couple up on Christmas Eve, then one could conclude that the Devil has certainly increased his attack on the family, especially the Holy Family. Perhaps more so as this is a 'gender' issue.

Does the Pope realise what he is doing? I don't know any more. I think the amount of homosexuals in Catholic clergy is worse than I thought and I think the Church is sinning too much sexually.

The Church seems to be over-saturated with sex. Not sure when it became so prevalent, the 1950s, earlier perhaps and maybe tampering with the Liturgy (since the 1930s maybe - Liturgical Movement) is symptomatic of this. The fact that the Permanent Diaconate isn't continent is one sign as well as those clerics who would push for a married priesthood. Cardinal Suenens comes to mind. He pushed for the permanent diaconate, opposed Humanae Vitae, brought in the Charismatic movement (even though we have Pentecost) and Cardinal Daneels was his successor with his Bishop Conference approved porno-Catechism and child abuse scandals.

One wonders if we'll get a sign. Perhaps the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel will fall down, or the Dome of St Peter's will collapse or St Peter's statue will melt....
