Salvatorians Host NAMBLA Supporter in Their Ranks

We received this months ago, and haven't heard anything from the Salvatorians about whether or not they were going to do anything about it.  Their superior was very defensive.  One thing that's evident to anyone who's studied this phenomenon for long is that these people never give up, but they have help.

Here's a brief history of the order from wiki. We can't imagine the founder would be happy about the way his order has been hijacked: The term Salvatorians refers to members of three religious communities: the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Saviour, the Lay Salvatorians, and the Society of the Divine Saviour (Latin: Societas Divini Salvatoris), a Roman Catholic religious institute composed of priests, religious brothers, and seminarians. The Society was founded by Father John Baptist Jordan in Rome on December 8, 1881. As of December 2010 the Society of the Divine Saviour numbers 1,127 members and works in 40 countries around the world. Salvatorians use the post-nominal letters "SDS".

Four years ago, there was a story going around Traditionalist Catholic Blogs, including this one, concerning a novice candidate for the priesthood within the Jesuit Order. It also appeared on some of the more high profile blogs, like the pusillanimous  Catholic and Enjoying It, which promptly repented  for exposing the story after a flurry of criticism from the sorts of individuals it represents.

The problem person is Cormac Brisssett. Mr. Brissett has a highly questionable past, which the Jesuits either ignored or turned a blind eye to it. He had endorsed the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). While attending the University of Minnesota, he signed two petitions that were a matter of public record. One of these petitions (which was a flyer distributed throughout the University of Minnesota concerning the rights of "gay" and/or closeted men to engage in public restroom sex without fear of reprisal from law enforcement.

Some wonder   why there's a problem with sex abuse in the Catholic Church.  A lot of it has to do with the media.  Obviously, the media isn't interested in Liberal moribund religious orders doing due diligence.  They want to swoop down and exploit the abuse when and if it happens, and create the impression of a global problem, a global problem not only with Catholicism, but religious belief itself.

There are a few individuals who are spirited into the organization who are apparently untouchable.  We can't imagine that if Mr. Brissett were as devoted to Catholicism and the traditional Mass of All Ages as he is to deviant sexual inclinations, that he would have a home with the Salvatorians for long.

The petition is still apparent on-line, here.

The other petition signed, was a public letter stating that NAMBLA should be allowed to march in a gay pride parade.

Both of these documents included the name David Thorstad, the founder of NAMBLA.

Mr. Brissett left the Jesuits where he was already helping "at risk" youth in Chicago's Boy's Town area.

Seeking to be of service to young boys at risk, Cormac Brissett is trying his hand with another order, the Salvatorians.

Since being asked about their new novice the Salvatorians have taken down any information about Mr. Brisette and have refused to give any information as to his current status. Nor have they explained why someone with Cormac's associations, both current and present, why he would want to be involved with children. Wouldn't it be better if he joined a contemplative order, where he had a more humble job if he feels he has a serious vocation? Why does anyone, especially someone who has a past wrapped up in promoting sexuality between adults and children, want to be involved with them. Even more pressing, why would people in positions of authority want someone like that in their order, representing that order, and having contact with children?

We managed to save Mr. Brissett's bio from the Salvatorian's homepage where he professes his admiration for the depraved NAMBLA member Allan Ginsberg and another deviant, David Sederis. Even if his activism on behalf of pederasty weren't evident (He gave an interview with famed novelist and pederasty advocate Edmund White, where the latter outlined the historical scope of such things, while endorsing them).  And he's concerned about human trafficking?  Like Oscar Wilde's penchant for underage male prostitutes? For someone who claims to have a religious vocation, he surely is worldly.  We'd say a religious vocation is more centered on a craving to cause scandal.   For he is clearly an advocate of aberrosexual activism, which also doesn't bother his superiors:

  1. Regarding the Salvatorians, let us not forget that for more than 30 years, his Salvatorian superiors permitted homosexual advocate and activist Fr. Robert Nugent to infiltrate AmChurch with pro-homosexual propaganda, programs and finances. Together with Sr. Jeanine Gramick, the dynamic duo coordinated a vast homosexual network within religious orders of the Catholic Church. By the time the Vatican got around to silencing Nugent [Gramick is still on the loose] most major religious orders had been recruited into the Homosexual Collective. 2. I would encourage all your readers to watch the documentary film Chicken Hawks: Men who love boys. It is available on youtube and it is very informative. The man who made the movie never made a dime, but he still receives letters thanking him for making the film. It is shown at the FBI training facility and by law enforcement allover the United States.

That being said, there is a very funny scene in this movie. There is a man named Renatto Corroza who is a member of NAMBLA. Outside of his apartment building, there is a group of demonstrators screaming (with bullhorns) for Renatto to come downstairs they say that, "we're having a block party Renatto, come on down, let the boys go--let 'em go". If we lived in a saner time, there would be a group of men down at 1735 North Hi-Mount Drive in Milwaukee screaming for Cormac.

  3. "which the Jesuits either ignored or turned a blind eye to it." Here is where you are mistaken. The Jesuits never ignore, and never turn a "blind's eye"
Read their history. From their inception, they were no good. They infiltrated the Church in 1539, and they literally changed the religion. It took them 500 years, but they succeeded. Melchior Cano, a Dominican bishop and theologian, and a contemporary of Ignatius called them "the forerunners of the Anti-Christ." Read Professor Robert Maryks book. He knows who they were.....and are

  4. The Salvatorians have long been known as a haven for sodomites. In my grade school years (late 50s - early 1960s) they used to arrive at school and hold meetings, give out pamphlets and encourage the boys to consider a vocation with them.

Two of my close friends did. One was so appalled and revolted by the goings-on that he left the seminary immediately never to return, and went on to live a happily married life. The other, sadly, stayed on a bit longer. This man eventually left too but the damage was done. He became an active homosexual after leaving this sewer of a seminary and died of some awful disease several years ago.

    1. Seems to me that a lot of so-called Catholic apologists spend a lot more time attacking faithful Catholics than they do focusing on the very real problem of sexual deviants, progressivists and other odd-balls in the clergy who truly do drive people away from the Church.

  5. I personally know Cormac. He used to have a runaway teenager living with him while he attended the University of Minnesota. This kid was probably 14--the Salvatorians have found a real gem with this one.

  6. Cormac Brissett is a very compassionate, kind, intelligent, and caring individual. The fact that you make light of Cormac's work with "at-risk youth" sickens me. Cormac worked in communities that were marganalized. Many of the youth that Cormac worked with were homeless gay young men who had no one to help. Shame on you for attacking such a man as compassionate as Cormac.

For the record, Cormac has struggled with chemical dependecny-he has been very open about this. The fact is, his "support of NAMBLA" was done at a time when Cormac was drinking heavily. You and all these other "Catholic" bloggers led Cormac to break his sobriety and start abusing prescription drugs--I bet you feel good about that. Why don't you start beating your chest?!

    1. I must say I stumbled on this controversy a while ago and agree with the writer's response that the author of this tawdry little blog is strangely obsessed with a couple of petitions singed twenty years ago by a teenager in college. Do you know Mr Brissett personally? Or perhaps would like to? I hear he is quite handsome. I've always found that those who are fixated on the sex lives of others an indication of problems far beyond the reach of even the most talented of editors.

    2. I think that someone who demonstrated a very public advocacy for sex betweeen minors and adults, and a continuing support for the normalization of deviant sexual behavior inconsistent with the Catholic priesthood is not suitable for any kind if ministry.

Why would he be so insistent upon working with minors, anyway?

  7. Mr.Brissett comes from a line of 12 step Royalty. His father, Robert Brissett was a well known member of the Hazelden Foundation. His father has given lectures on 12 step pseudo-science and flim-flam spirituality. His mother was a former nun.

    1. He is related to Little Brother André Bessette of Montreal - I know the Brissetts and yours is a cheap appraisal. Everyone I've ever met in his family was gracious and committed to the health and well being of those around them.

  8. I knew Cormac at the U and he never had a teen living with him. Since college he has done amazing work with at risk youth and the homeless. Not only is this post poorly written (you desperately need an editor) it has no substance except for a 15+ year old petition. I signed dozens of petitions at the U back then and I couldn't tell you what all of them said. That's what you do in college - stir things up. And then you grow up and find a way to be of actual service - Cormac has done that. This post is poisonous and slanderous.

    2. Maybe you don't know him very well, or share the concerns Catholics would have about someone promoting a deviant agenda under the cover of a Catholic organization?

He could do a lot of things, and his association with and public
defense of NAMBLA in the past don't suit him for a career path that involves children and vulnerable adults. Such revelations about his character in the past would legitimately bar him from many areas of public trust.

Cormac also continues to be an advocate for the normalization of deviant sexual behavior. His latest Facebook posts as of 2010, showed that he liked "Gay" sites. But even his current interests continue to point to that.

He has also given a very complimentary interview of Edmund White.

  9. Also, as everyone knows, Edmund White was ever an advocate for lowering the age of consent. He writes: "Hypocrisy and cynicism underlie the current crusade against inter-generational love. I predict that children’s liberation (inter-generational sex) will be the next great social movement in North America.”

    ReplyDelete
  10. Secular perspective, but on topic: look into Dr. Judith Reisman's work on Alfred Kinsey. Now that the homophilia agenda has been mostly completed, the next 'push' is definitely the NORMALIZATION of 'inter-generational' deviancy.

Allen Ginsberg was an active and enthusiastic member of NAMBLA.

  12. The second link you provide isn't a petition at all, it looks like a list culled from an email from 1996 with hundreds of name - where is this 'endorsement of sex between minors and adults' you so loudly proclaim Cormac has stated?
Your obsession with him is bizarre to say the least.

    1. Considering his endorsement for it elsewhere, it's hardly surprising to see him on an email list here.

Just on the basis of his activism in the past alone, he would be unsuitable for sensitive positions in government.

Why are you so obsessed with having someone like this in a position of trust within the Catholic Church working with children?

  13. My wife and I would trust Cormac with our children without a moment of hesitation. We would be suspicious of you however given your obvious issues with sex.

    1. Personal insults? Why can't you answer the question?

My guess is that you can't.

The priesthood isn't a right, and I can't imagine any normal circumstances where someone with his past and present ideas would be suitable for religious life, let alone working with children.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem to believe that sodomy is a serious sin.

  14. Cormac is "unsuitable for sensitive positions in government" what are you talking about? Are you mentally ill? Yours sound like the ravings of a psychopath. By the way 'aberrosexual' is not a word.

    1. Absolutely he's unsuitable, because of his bad character and associations in the past.

I can't imagine why someone wouldn't want a NAMBLA supporter, past or present to work with children, even subtracting the religious element.

Of course, Mr. Brissett's aberrosexuality self-identification should be problematic in itself.

  15. I don't actually think about sodomy much mate. But reviewing your sewer of a blog it appears to be all you think about. Projection?
I will say again, Cormac is a good and moral man and your misleading insinuations about him are wrong.

    1. There are no insinuations, his point of view are opposed to Catholic moral teaching, as I expect are yours. At the very least, I'd have to ask why someone would show such little integrity by not only putting himself in an organization which he doesn't agree, but also expecting to work with children again after he's worked so hard in the past to promote sex between adults and children.

I'm sorry you can't understand why an institution which has had so many problems with sexual abuse would permit someone like Mr. Brissett to work with children. It beggars belief.

  16. He must know that Ginsberg was a pederast and a member of NAMBLA. Why would he endorse that degenerate on a vocational bio when there are so many questions about his character?

Anyway, who hasn't signed a petition against the police for arresting people having sex in public restrooms. Could have happened to the best of us, eh?

  17. Here's a scenario: There is a new teacher in the Junior High/Middle School. He is intelligent, thoughtful, and sensitive to the needs of children. The hook is that during his time in College he was friends with David Thorstad and was active in radical gay politics as well as trying to normalize pederasty. Although it could not be proven that he was a NAMBLA member, he was at least a supporter of NAMBLA. Would parents allow this in a school?

  18. I know cormac very we.. inside and out.he is not catholic at all he goes against the teachings of the catholic church. his passed is very questionable. The Salvatorians should be ashamed of themselves for having him as their novice. I contacted Sacred Heart School of Theology they said he was kicked out of the seminary. I wonder what happened. He is still currently a novice with the Salvatorians. I encourage more people to contact this religous order to ask questions about Cormac. He should not be around any children at all. People like him makes the Catholic Church looks bad.

  19. It is official, Cormac Brissett is out of the Salvatorians! The Vocations Director has confirmed he is out! New evidence concerning Mr. Brissett was directly involved with NAMBLA in 1994. Thanks to The Empty Closet Newspaper for being digitized as part of a gay history program through the University of Rochester, NY. Cormac will probably attempt to get a teaching position, but that will be problematic as his past activism on behalf of NAMBLA has been exposed.

  21. Cormac is a known homosexual and drug addict, as well as a self confirmed pedophile. When he was in the Jesuits and later the Salvatorians he was open about his atheism and his disregard for his vows of celibacy, while focusing on the perks of free travel and a lifestyle paid for by the Catholic Church.
Of course after he was booted from both orders he found a way to stay in contact with children. He currently teaches English language classes to immigrant children.
