Bishop Williamson Will Be Expelled

The only conceivable result of the Vatican negotiations with the Society of St. Pius X consists in that Rome in the future will have two Societies to confront.

(kreuz.net) Society Bishop Richard Williamson (72) will be shut out of the Society of St. Pius X.

This was learned by kreuz.net and reported recently.

A Hot Potato

The last cause for the exclusion was an unauthorized Confirmation by the Bishop in South  America in the past August.

Already for years, the General Superior of the Society, Bishop Benard Fellay, in vain, had put a muzzle on Msgr Williamson.

So also it was expected of him that he would cease his weekly e-mail commentary.  But the Bishop continued to publish.

Another Society?

It is yet to be seen that the Bishop will found another Society with other exiled priests.

Then it may be only a question of time, till he will ordain Bishops.

It is still in question, if he has the necessary organizational talent and energy to build a new structure.

Besides it passes as egocentric.

In view of the expected scenario many observers regard the shutting out Bishop Williamson as a fatal mistake.

  1. That would indeed be a fatal mistake! Deus nos adiuvet. Fiat voluntas Sua.

  3. Actually, it would be quite deserved. By his own devilish behavior and obstinate disobedience he has himself demanded it.

Bp Williamson has serious psychological issues and his dependency on his personal cheerleader is more than a little disturbing. The vitriolic speech of his supporters is of the Devil and his followers' adoration of the man border idolatry. His fruit is BAD.

In charity and genuine fraternal affection he has been endured by the other bishops, priests and members of the Society, most especially by Bishop Fellay who alone has suffered his personal attack. There is absolutely no doubt that Bp. Williamson has been piously prayed for and will continue to be prayed for by the very people he has sinned against.

God has set the protocol for what to do with such severe disobedience. Let him follow the banishment of Adam. That is what he wants since he has found that Fellay was not tossed and he given the "crown" to wear in his place. That "crown" is one of humility and servitude. It would not have fit his head anyway. He will be much happier in a little fish bowl of his own making. There he can write all the silly leak poetry he likes and impress himself with his own cleverness.

Heaven help him and God have mercy on those devilish enough to follow him in his pride.

    1. Yeah, complain about personal attacks when we're talking about someone who receives little than personal attacks on the internet and the press. Toss in some insinuations of mental illness while you're at it. Good work.

    2. James the Disgraceful,
What is your scientific evidence of Bp Williamson's alleged medical disorder? Alas, the 8th commandment falls before you!

What about attacking Fellay's hypocrisy? He has admitted being deceived so what is your diagnosis.

    3. Acting in good faith and admitting to being deceived are a far cry from hypocrisy.

  4. Very sad that it has come to this.

Bishop Williamson lost me the day he wrote the "Truth and Authority have become divided in the Church" heresy.

    He has lost the Faith.

  5. He is a total right wing cracker who thinks he has the authority to say to the Pope...either turn back to 1959 or forget it.He should be expelled because undoubtedly he is a closet believer that the Papal Throne is vacant. This man is a convert to the faith yet he thinks he knows Catholicism more than the Pope.I agree the the result of Vatican II has mostly been a disaster. But Pope Benedict has tried to correct some of the worst abuses. We need a Pope in the mold of Cardinal Burke to make some real progress such as reforming religious life, ending communion in the hand and enforcing strict norms on Catholic colleges. So Bishop Williamson dont let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya.

    1. I really don't mind people who support the position of Sedevacantism and defend it in a way respectful to my own sentiments as a committed, if fanatical, Papist. Yet there are those who try the patience and are so insulting and vile, I have a hard time trying to figure out what they're trying to say.

I'm sure it has as much to do with class as it does with education, but not so much to do with sanity...

      Thanks for letting me know.

  9. I wonder if he'll rejoin if/when Rome regularizes the SSPX, or will they stipulate as a part of the regularization that no "Holocaust deniers" can be a part of the SSPX?
