Pope: “God made you gay”

[ Info Vaticana] In an interview in the newspaper EL PAIS, the media spokesperson for the victims of Karadima recounts his private meetings with Pope Francisco: "Juan Carlos, that you are gay does not matter. God made you like that and he loves you like that and I do not care. The Pope wants you like that, you have to be happy with who you are."

ISIS Threatens Pope With Beheading

(Rome) The Islamic State (IS) has published a photomontage depicting Pope Francis being beheaded by a jihadist.

The Beheading is an Islamic ritual murder in which the victim's throat is cut and then the head is separated from the trunk.

In February 2015, the 21 Coptic Christians were murdered by the Islamic State (IS) in Libya. In this way, in July 2016, the Catholic priest Jacques Hamel, was murdered while celebrating Holy Mass by IS followers at the altar.

The photomontage published by Wafa Media shows a real execution by an Islamic terrorist. The head of the victim was replaced with that of Pope Francis. Wafa Media has released photos and videos of correct executions in the past.

To ensure that there are no doubts, the head of the pope was labeled "Jorge Mario Bergoglio".

In the background is the black flag of the Islamic terrorist militia.

SITE made Intel Group, a private association that monitors terrorist activity on the Internet has attended to the post.

Last week, Wafa Media released the manifesto, "The Ghost of Terrorism." In English it states: "You will pay dearly your war against Islam. We will avenge the blood of Muslims on your soil. We will kill the boys, and the old ones will have to watch. "

According to Islamism expert Robert Spencer, who recently published the book Infidel's Guide to ISIS, threats against the Catholic church leader have been part of the Islamic State (IS) strategy since its inception. The Pope is considered the head of all Christianity (see also "We will Take Rome" - New video of the Islamic State (IS): picture of Pope Francis Torn).

According to Spencer, the IS is working on a calendar according to which the final collision, the "Armageddon", will occur in 2025. In his ranks it is claimed that Mohammed prophesied that the two Roman cities Constantinople and Rome would be conquered. In 1453 Constantinople fell into Muslim hands. Since the interwar period it is called Istanbul.

The fact that the Islamic State (IS) is precisely targeting the head of the church, despite being one of the most influential advocates of barrier-free migration and repeatedly protecting itself from Islam, is a mystery. Pope Francis was silent on the ritual murder of Abbé Jacques Hamel and said at the Assisi meeting of world religions that war was "worse" than "terrorism".

The hatred of the jihadists against Christianity is obviously stronger.

Communist Revolutionary Begs Pope Francis' Forgiveness

"Timochenko" in letter to the pope: former terrorist group wants to renounce any expression of hatred or violence - Pope trip "will leave a deep impression on Colombia's history"

Bogota (kath.net/KAP) The leader of the Colombian ex-guerrilla FARC, Rodrigo Londono Echeverry, has asked Pope Francis for forgiveness in a letter for the suffering that his organization caused in more than 50 years of civil war. "Your repeated references to God's infinite mercy make me plead for forgiveness for any tears or pain that we have inflicted upon the Columbian people or its citizens," wrote the "Maximo Lider" in a Friday, in the Colombian media, to the Pope, who is still in the South American country until Sunday.

Londono alias "Timochenko" or "Timoleon Jimenez" apologized for not being able to meet the pope personally for health reasons. He assured him, however, that the FARC wanted "to deny any expression of hatred or violence" and had the firm intention to forgive all those who were their enemies so far. "We feel the repentance needed to see our own mistakes and to ask for forgiveness for all the victims of our actions," the opposition politician said.

The basic intention of his grouping was a good one, "Timochenko" emphasized that justice was being sought for the excluded and persecuted of Colombia, as well as the overcoming of inequality and disadvantages. "We are dreaming that you and your father will understand us," the party leader now told Francis. He expressed his happiness and gratitude for the Pope's comments, according to which the exploitation of poor countries by rich people was just as displeasing as the rejection of diversity, or the contempt for human dignity by striving for profit.

Lodino's admiration for Francis was expressed in the most direct terms. "Since you took the first step into my country, I feel that something will finally change," says the Marxist leader. The pope is leaving a deep impression in the country's history, mobilizing all sections of the population and giving them a message, and shows the "tears of the emotion of men, women and children who admire your smile, your goodness and the splendor in your eyes. Only a saint like you does that," wrote Lodono, who also compared the pope with his surname Francis of Assisi and Jesus.

The FARC had agreed to sign the peace treaty with the Colombian government, but some members of the government had refused to ratify their consent by being absent, complained the former Guerrilla. He asked Pope Francis, "with the great power of his prayer," to keep the Colombian people from "frustration" after the negotiations of peace had been an enormous force, Londono wrote. The FARC also prays for it.

The government and FARC had signed the peace treaty in November 2016, after four years of negotiation in Cuba. It was only through the signing that the guerrillas could be disarmed and demobilized, which in the summer became once again an opposition party with the same party leadership as a political force under the leadership of London.

Pope Francis Kneels

Pope Francis Kneeling at Palm Sunday Mass
(Rome) On Palm Sunday, Pope Franziskus celebrated  the Liturgy of the blessing of the Palms, and Holy Mass on the St. Peter's Square in Rome - and knelt down.
When the Passion story was sung, when the words came, "But Jesus cried aloud. Then he breathed out the spirit," all knelt down in memory of the death of Jesus Christ. Pope Francis, too, knelt on a knee-stool prepared for him.
This is to be reported, because the missing kneeling of the reigning pope before the Most Blessed Sacrament was recently discussed in some contributions with a view to the forthcoming Holy Thursday. The kneeling in remembrance of the crucifixion of Christ is a deep reverence. The kneeling before the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Altar, and as the highest form of expression in the worship of the most sacred, is another stage of worship.

Heresy Charge Against "Black Pope" -- Pope Francis and Cardinal Müller Are Presented With Heresy Charge Against Jesuit General

Jesuit General Arturo Sosa Absacal left of Pope Francis: is the
"Black Pope" spreading heresy?
(Rome) Next Sunday, Pope Francis will visit the small diocese of Carpi in the Po Valley.  A courageous priest of this diocese is currently pestering the Pope. He raises the question with a memorandum of whether the new Jesuit Father General, Arturo Sosa Absacal, spreads heresies.

Memorandum against the "Black Pope"

The priest is Don Roberto Bertacchini and is a pupil of three priests of stature, the German Jesuit, Father Heinrich Pfeiffer, art historian at the Gregoriana in Rome, and the two Italian Jesuits, Father Francesco Tata, former religious prosecutor of Italy, and Father Piersandro Vanzan, Augustine connoisseur and leading author of the Roman Jesuit paper, Civiltà Cattolica . The reference to his Jesuit teachers is not without significance in the matter. Bertacchini was ordained priest in 2009 by the then Archbishop Carlo Ghidelli of Lanciano-Ortona.
Last week, as the Vaticanist Sandro Magister reports, Don Bertacchini sent both Pope Francis and Cardinal Gerhard Müller a memorandum. On six pages, the priest critically comments on a recent interview of the new General Superior of the Jesuit Order, who has been in office since October 2016. The Venezuelan Arturo Sosa Abasca  stands very close to Pope Francis, himself Jesuit.

Does the Jesuit General Want a "Christianity without Christ"?

The Jesuit general had represented theses in the interview, which are "so serious that they can not be passed over without silence, without making one's self complicit." Bertacchini accuses the "Black Pope", as the Jesuit general is traditionally called, of speaking of  "a Christianity without Christ".
Magister published Bertacchini's memorandum . Giuseppe Rusconi, the Swiss Vaticanista, published the interview where he criticized him last February 18. Arturo Sosa had reviewed the text and released it for publication.
Bertacchini's criticism is centered on the massive doubts expressed by the Jesuit General about the credibility of the Holy Scriptures. Arturo Sosa made fun of it. Rusconi addressed himself to criticism of the controversial papal Amoris laetitia . The words of Jesus were opposed to the admission of remarried divorced persons to the Sacraments. Sosa replied sloppily that nobody could know exactly what Jesus had said "really," because no one had "a tape recorder" with him.
According to Bertacchini, the Jesuit General says that the words of Jesus on the indissolubility of marriage are not a theological fixed point, but only the point of departure for the doctrine, which must then be developed "comfortably." In this way, however, the exact opposite could be represented, in other words the compatibility of divorce and Christian life."

Jesuit genius "too smart" to openly represent a heresy

Bertacchini emphasizes that Arturo Sosa Absacal SJ, "is too smart to fall into an obvious heresy, which in some respects is even worse. It is, therefore, necessary to follow the thread of his reasoning."
In an interview, the Jesuit General asked whether the evangelists were credible or not. His answer: One must distinguish. He thus implied, by way of a roundabout way, that it is not said, about the credibility of the Gospels. He thus questions the truthfulness of Jesus' whole doctrine of faith. The Jesuit had been careful to go into details. He remained general, but nevertheless offered a statement destructive in its core. If we consider that, in all his statements on marriage and the newly remarried divorced, Pope Francis never cited the words of the Lord on the indissolubility of marriage, the thrust of the Jesuit General would be clear. Bertacchini added:
"If the Pope does not quote these passages, it means that he has made a distinction and does not consider it authentic. They are therefore not binding. But all the popes have taught the contrary! So what? They will be wrong. Or they have said true things and taught for their time, but not for ours. "
The Jesuit General does not say it apertis verbis, but interprets it and lets it show through.
"This gives the Pope's a reading to the  family pastoral, which deviates from the traditional doctrine."

Jesuit General: "We know today that Jesus never taught that marriage is indissoluble"

Sosa asserts nothing less than that
"We know today," that Jesus probably, probably almost certainly, never taught that marriage is indissoluble. The evangelists would have misunderstood this."
"On the other hand, the Sensus fidei tells us that the evangelists are credible. Our Jesuit General, however, rejects this credibility and even ignores the fact that St. Paul received this doctrine from the teaching as directly following Jesus, and passed it on to his congregations." (1 Cor 7: 10-11).
According to Bertacchini, the consensus of the Synoptics is "too clear" in the rejection of  adultery.  Moreover, St. Paul reaffirms this doctrine in the Epistle to the Ephesians and even strengthens it. He reaffirmed it by quoting the passage from the book of Genesis, which Jesus also quoted, and strengthened it because Christ loved the Church in an indissoluble way, so much so that he gave his life for it and beyond his earthly life. This faithfulness of the Lord is what Paul calls the model of marital fidelity.
There is, therefore, evidently a continuity between the pre-Easter and the post-Easter teachings. Equally obvious is the break with Judaism, which retained the possibility of the repudiation. Bertacching asks the following questions: "If Paul himself refers to Jesus for this break, what is the meaning of the Gospels? Where should this leap come from which determined the practice of the early Church, if not of Christ?"
It should be remembered that divorce was also permitted in the Greco-Roman sphere, and that a form of the concubinage existed, which could easily lead to a later marriage, like the life of St Augustine shows. The rejection of a abandonment, divorce, concubinage constitutes a cultural breach, a phenomenon which is decisive in the history of culture, what should it point back to, if not to Jesus? And if Jesus is the Christ, why should the faithfulness of the Gospels be doubted?
"Apart from this, if Jesus is not to have said these words, from whence comes the drastic commentary of the disciples in Matthew 19:10 (" then it is not good to marry at all?") Among these disciples was also the evangelist himself who does not strike a good figure. They understood late what Jesus taught them because they were then still dependent on the traditions of their time that Jesus criticizes. "From a historical point of view, the pericope Mt 19, 3-12 is credible in every respect," the priest said.
Bertacchini then goes into detail on the "dogmatic horizon" of the statements of the Jesuit General. In it, he expanded his criticism and extends it to a recent article in the Roman Jesuit journal Civilta Cattolica, with the Jesuit Giancarlo Pani, where the prohibition of female priesthood is questioned. Bertacchini criticizes the fact that the solemn gospel, which calls for infallibility, is questioned without hesitation. The priest criticizes this work of subversion with the aim of destroying safe dams.
What will Pope Francis do with the inscription of Don Roberto Bertacchini? What will CDF Prefect Müller do with it?

Posters Appear in Rome Denouncing Pope Bergoglio's Modernist Autocracy

Edit: here's a brief edited google translation of Marco Tossatti's report:

[Marco Tosatti] In Rome every now and again there appear posters without permission on the walls; ie posters that do not follow the regular procedure for the City. A modern and updated version of the bills that the Romans unhappily hung at Pasquino, the mutilated statue at Piazza Navona, to protest against injustices and to express their displeasure.

The last case of putting up posters - irregular - and mocking,  concerned the Minister of Education, Valeria Fedeli, a few months ago. But that the walls of Rome are now covered up with dozens of posters against the Pontiff is certainly a big news.

It happened today, and the news broke broke at ADN Kronos in these terms:

"There appeared dozens of posters this morning throughout Rome, hung on the walls of the city, of protest against Pope Francis and his work. The picture across the board shows the image of the pontiff which is particularly darkened and frowning. Below, on the bottom in purple, written with Romansh font: 'In Francis, you police congregations, removed priests, decapitated the Order of Malta and the Franciscans of the Immaculate, ignored Cardinals ...  is this your mercy? ' . The poster is anonymous, does not report acronyms or symbols, but is easily attributable to the conservative circles who increasingly expressed their opposition to the Magisterium, measures and the pontifical line of  Pope Bergoglio. "

Pope Francis Celebrates Mass in the Sistine Chapel Ad Orientem

Celebration: In the Sistine Chapel, Pope Francis celebrates before the
Last Judgement versus Deum. The People's Altar Was Removed by Pope Benedict
(Rome) Pope Francis celebrated also in this year's Feast of the Baptism of the Lord versus Deum. The feast is traditionally celebrated in the Sistine Chapel, where the Pope each year offers the sacrament of baptism to some newborn children.
Pope Benedict XVI removed the mobile "people's altar" and celebrated at the high altar below the representation of the Last Judgment versus Deum. For his first Holy Mass as pope, which Francis celebrated with the Cardinal's collegium on the day after his election in the Sistine Chapel, the plywood altar was again set up, which was feared to be a backward step. However, this remained the only exception.
Since then, Pope Francis has been celebrating this year in the presence of God for the faithful. Thus, the argument, which has been widely held since the first liturgical form of 1965, that the "people's altar" would have to be celebrated toward the people, because it would otherwise be rude to "turn your back to the people". To be precise, the argument was stupid then just as it is now. The change of the direction of celebration away from God to the people was a result of Martin Luther's Reformation-Revolution and was premiered for the first time in 1536 in the recently converted Strasbourg Cathedral.
In 2016 Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, called to all priests worldwide to return to actual direction of celebration of the Church ad orientem or versus Deum . He firmly called upon them to make the appeal concrete and to do so from the First Day of Advent.
The Cardinal Prefect was publicly criticized by those circles close to the pope and "corrected" by the Vatican Press Office "no" liturgical changes were provided. Cardinal Sarah, who had been appointed by Pope Francis himself, has since been "left in the cold". He has been strongly isolated in his own Congregation, thus limiting his scope for action.

Pope Francis Makes a Surprise Call to Italy's National Broadcaster, RAI for Christmas

(Rome) On Thursday, a telephone call from Pope Franziskus came "surprisingly" at the dawn to the Italian state broadcaster, RAI1: "Hello? I'm Pope Francis ". The pontiff was switched to broadcast live and he congratulated the morning show Unomattina to its 30th anniversary.
The Pope congratulated "all employees, presenters, journalists, directors and technicians" and praised the program.
The moderators were delighted and congratulated the Pope on his 80th birthday, which he had celebrated on 17 December. They asked Francis "to wish all the spectators" Merry Christmas, among whom "are also many sick and old people".
"Yes, I wish you all a Christian Christmas, as it was the first time when God wanted to turn the world's values upside down and made himself small in a barn, with the little ones, with the poor, with the excluded.
The smallness, the insignificance: in this world where the god of money is promoted so much, may Christmas help us to look at the smallness of this God, who has turned the secular values upside down."
Francis then wished everyone, employees and spectators, Merry Christmas: "I wish you a holy and happy, very Merry Christmas. A hug to everyone."
Presenter Franco Di Mare then described how moved he had been. "I thought I could not stand it, I was so excited." He and his colleague Francesca Fialdini would have held each other "like children". The director had told us before the show that something like this might happen. But then everything seemed incredible to us."
It was not the first time a Pope had called in to a direct broadcast of RAI. In 1998, it was John Paul II who called in the main evening program, during a program dedicated to the 20th anniversary of his pontificate.
Personally, the Pope deals differently with television: Francis told the Argentine daily newspaper La Voz del Pueblo (The voice of the people) on 25 May 2015, during one of his interviews now routinely granted. In it, he said, he completely ceased to watch TV in 1990.
"I have not seen TV since 1990. This is a promise I gave to Our Lady of Mount Carmel on the night of July 15, 1990," the Pope said.

Pope Francis Is Going to Be 80 -- The Possibility of a Resignation

By Roberto de Mattei *
Pope Francis is crossing the threshold of 80: Ingravescentem aetatem (advanced age), as the motu proprio of 21 November 1970 by Paul VI declared, which, by reaching this age, requires all cardinals to put their tasks to an end, and deprives them of the right to participate in the conclave. Paul VI. established this rule to create a new "Montinian" curia. Moreover, he introduced a fundamental contradiction in the Church's more than a thousand years of practice.
If the advanced age is an impediment to the direction of a diocese or a dicastery, and even prevents a cardinal from choosing a pope, how can we imagine that a cardinal who has become a pope, even after the age of eighty? Can he bear the burden of the world church?
It was not, however, such considerations that urged Pope Francis on 12 March 2015 to say:
"I have the feeling that my pontificate will be short, 4, 5 years. Perhaps it is not so, but I have the feeling that the Lord has set me up for a brief cause. But it is a feeling, so I leave all possibilities open. "
The real reason for a possible abdication does not seem to be a decline in capability, but Pope Bergoglio's awareness, not two years after his election, to be penetrated into what Antonio Socci in the newspaper on November 20, 2016 Libero describes as the relentless "decline of a pontificate."
The project of Pope Francis to "reform" the Church with the help of the bishop's synod and various collaborators, is well in place, and the record of the Holy Year is more than disappointing. On November 21, 2016 Marco Politi wrote in the daily Il Fatto quotidiano :
"Pope Francis closed the Holy Door, but his message is accompanied by the rumbling of a subterranean crisis. There is a civil war in the Church. "
The dispute was whether consciously or unconsciously, unleashed by Pope Francis himself, especially after the Apostolic Letter Amoris laetitia, the Church no longer moves forward, but is sinking into a terrain riddled with deep crevices.
The failure of the pontificate of Pope Francis has already been compared to that of Barack Hussein Obama. In three years in Rome, what has taken place in Washington in eight years: the transition from an initial euphoria to a final depression, because the set goals were completely missed. It would be wrong, however, to read the pontificate of Pope Francis only from a political point of view. Pope Francis could never have pronounced Obama's "yes, we can".
For a pope, as opposed to a politician, everything is not possible. The Pope has a supreme, full, immediate, and universal authority, but can not alter the Divine Law that Jesus Christ gave to the Church, nor change the natural law which God has imprinted in the heart of every man. He is the vicar of Christ, but not his successor. The Pope can not alter either the Holy Scriptures or the tradition which form the far-reaching rule of the Church's faith, but must submit to them.
This is the impasse in which Pope Bergoglio is today. The Dubia that four cardinals (Brandmüller, Burke, Caffarra and Meisner) have laid before the CDF  have forced him upon a dead track. The Cardinals expect a clear response from the Pope on the Apostolic Letter Amoris laetitia with a yes or a no to the following questions:
Can divorced persons who have once again married once and who do not want to give up their objectively sinful situation in which they find themselves, rightfully receive the sacrament of the Eucharist? And more generally: Do the Divine Law and Natural Law still have absolute validity, or do they tolerate exceptions in some cases?
The answer concerns the foundations of morality and the Catholic faith. If what was valid yesterday is no longer valid today, then what is valid today, will not be valid tomorrow. If, however, morality can change according to time and circumstances, the Church is destined to perish in the relativism of today's fluid society. If this is not the case, Cardinal Vallini must be exempted from his office, who stated in his speech at the pastoral meeting of the diocese of Rome last September 19 that newly married divorced persons may be admitted to the communion in accordance with an "assessment which is appropriate case by case." His position set out on 2 December in the daily newspaper Avvenire, a media organ of the Italian Bishops' Conference as his own, that according to the Amoris laetitia contains "very clear words" upon which "the Pope has set his imprimatur".
But can the Pope confer on the shepherds' "judgment" the authority to transcend the law of God and the right of nature, the preserve of which is the Church? When a pope tries to change the faith of the Church, he explicitly or implicitly renounces his mandate as vicar of Christ, and sooner or later he will be compelled to renounce his pontificate. The possibility of such an explosive result can not be ruled out in 2017. The self-imposed abdication would allow Pope Francis to abandon the field as a misunderstood reformer, and to attribute to the responsibility for his failure upon the "severity" of the curia.  If this is to happen, it will be more likely to happen after the next consistory, which allows Pope Francis to once again plant a new group of cardinals near him to influence the Holy College, thereby influencing the choice of his successor. The other possibility is the fraternal reprimand by the Cardinals, which, as soon as it becomes publicly known, corresponds to a determination of errors and heresies.
Nothing is more erroneous than the sentence of Cardinal Hummes, in reference to the total number of cardinals: "They are only four, we are 200". Apart from not counting on numbers to demonstrate the fidelity to the Gospel, what are the 200 Cardinals, who are 227 to be exact, to whom Hummes has referred, who have distanced themselves from their four confreres. Have they actually distanced themselves by their silence from Pope Francis?  The first observations in support of the Dubia by Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes, President emeritus of the Pontifical Council Cor Unum , and Cardinal George Pell, Prefect of the Economic Secretariat, are meaningful. Some are beginning to break their silence. There are not 200, but certainly more than four.
Roberto de Mattei , historian, father of five children, Professor of Modern History and History of Christianity at the European University of Rome, president of Lepanto Foundation, author of numerous books, most recently appeared: Vicario di Cristo. Il primato di Pietro tra normalità ed eccezione (Vicar of Christ. The Primacy of Peter Between Normality and Exception), Verona 2013; In German translation at last: The Second Vatican Council - a hitherto unwritten story, Ruppichteroth 2011.

Pope Leads 11,000 Pilgrims in Praying the Rosary for Italian Earthquake Victims

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Hearing the mayor of Amatrice in central Italy say his town no longer exists and knowing there were children who died Aug. 24 in the earthquakes that struck the region, Pope Francis turned his weekly general audience into a prayer service.
Beginning the audience in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis said he had prepared a normal audience talk on how the merciful Jesus is close to people, but given the devastation in central Italy, he decided to lead the recitation of the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary.
Later in the day, the Vatican press office said that as a concrete sign of Pope Francis’ concern for the earthquake victims, six Vatican firefighters had been sent to Amatrice. They will work under the direction of the Italian government emergency services in searching for victims and offering them assistance.

Gänswein: "The certainty that the pope was considered a pillar of strength, as the last anchor gives way, is starting to slip in fact."

Hendrick Groth in an Interview with Georg Gänswein: "Doctrinal expressions must
be clear. Expressions which allow different interpretations are a business."
(Rome) A new interview with Archbishop Curia Georg Gänswein was published in the Schwäbische Zeitung. The interview with the personal secretary of Benedict XVI. and Prefect of the Papal Household of Pope Francis was led by chief editor Hendrik Groth in Rome.

The long-time first secretary of Pope Benedict XVI.  confirmed that the former Pope is mentally in top form. "The head is clear, bright, fine. The legs have become somewhat tired."

Even after three years of the pontificate of Pope Francis, Msgr Gänswein  states, "you couldn't put a piece of paper" between the two successors of Peter:

"I have already asked myself the question; and I still affirm according to all that, what I see, hear and perceive. With regard to the principles of their theological convictions there is definitely a continuity. Of course, I'm also aware that there might occasionally be  doubts cast by the different ways of representation and formulation. But when a pope wants to change something in teaching, he must say it clearly, so that is also authentic. Important teaching concepts can not be changed by sub-sentences or something openly formulated in footnotes. The theological methodology in this regard has clear criteria. A law that is not clear in itself, can not bind. The same is true for theology. Magisterial statements must be clear if they are to be mandatory. Statements that allow for different interpretations, are a risky business." [Enter Vatican II]

About the repeatedly criticized ambiguous language of Pope, Francis Gänswein said:

"That he is somewhat imprecise, even flippant in speeches in comparison to his predecessors sometimes, you just have to accept. Every Pope has his own personal style. It's his way of talking, so even at the risk that give rise to misunderstandings, there are sometimes adventurous interpretations. He will continue to mince no words."

Of the Synod of Bishops on the Family  the Curia Archbishop said:

"Let's be frank that some bishops have really to worry that the doctrine may suffer through lack of crystal-clear language."

The related tensions within the Church and the direction that Pope Francis gives his pontificate:

"The certainty that the pope was considered a pillar of strength,  as the last anchor gives way, is starting to slip in fact. Whether this perception corresponds to reality, and reproduces the image of Pope Francis  correctly, or if this is more a media concoction, I can not judge. Uncertainties occasional confusions and a muddle, however, are growing."

800 Years of the Portiuncula-Indulgence -- Pope Francis Will Visit the Chapel in Assisi on August 4th

(Rome) Pope Francis will visit the Portiuncula Chapel in Assisi this coming August 4th. This is how the chapel of Santa Maria degli Angeli is popularly known in the plain below Assisi. The occasion of the papal visit is the 800th anniversary of the granting of so-called Portiuncula indulgence by Pope Honorius III. in 1216.
The Portiuncula indulgence, the so-called "Forgiveness of Assisi", can be received by visiting the chapel in Assisi or in the world by visiting a Franciscan church. The expansion of  indulgences had been granted in 1480 by Pope Sixtus IV.. In addition to this condition, the usual conditions apply for obtaining a plenary indulgence.
Any baptized Christian who is not excommunicated and is not  in the state of grave sin at the time of receiving the Indulgence, will win it if he's disposed and within the prescribed time and in the manner provided by the Church, meets the five conditions:
  • sacramental confession,
  • resolute turning from sin,
  • Communion,
  • Prayer for the intentions of the Pope.
The fifth condition is to visit the Portiuncula or another Franciscan church.

Portiuncula dates back to the 4th century

The Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels was built in the 4th century by hermits and passed in the 6th century to the possession of St. Benedict of Nursia. Saint Francis of Assisi again rebuilt the dilapidated chapel early in the 13th century. For a basket of fish as a payment of interest, it was rented to him  by the abbot of the Benedictine monastery of Monte Subasio.

Portiuncula chapel of St. Francis of Assisi

In his last six years of life, St. Francis of Assisi, from whom all Franciscan orders go back, meanwhile called a meeting of the Friars Minor at Pentecost at the chapel. He died in the chapel on October 3, 1226.
In 16/17th  century the Basilica of Santa Marta degli Ageli was built at the behest of Pope Saint Pius V around the chapel, one of the largest churches of Christendom.
Pope Francis will visit the chapel in connection with the Jubilee of mercy as a "simple pilgrim," as Vatican Radio reported.
According to tradition, the Benedictine monastery of Monte Subasio, which presented the Portiuncula to St. Francis of Assisi, goes back to St. Benedict of Nursia. The oldest surviving document dates from 1051.  An excavated crypt reveals the existence of a community of monks from the 7/8th centuruies.
In 1860 the monastery, like all monasteries in Italy,  was abolished, falling victim to the new, Masonic Kingdom Italy. Only in 1945 were the remains of the Abbey in Assisi taken over again by the Benedictines of St. Peter  and partly rebuilt. Due to severe damage from the earthquake of 1997, it had to be abandoned again by the monks. Restoration works are underway.
Subiaso is the house mountain of Assisi. The monastery dominates the town and the valley.

"Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean."

Dear brothers and sisters,
in the reading from the Gospel of Luke, which we have just heard, is a leper who turns to Jesus  "Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean" (5:12). He asks not simply to be healthy, but complete hearling in purity. Leprosy was considered a contamination of the whole person; a leper had to stay away from the people and from the temple. When he heard of Jesus, he is still in the city.
He believed wholeheartedly that Jesus could heal him. The leper shows us that during the encounter with the Lord, not many words are needed. It is important to trust in his omnipotence, his goodness and mercy. Jesus has compassion for the leper, stretches out his hand, touches him, and says: "I want it - be clean" ( Mk 1,41). The healed man is not to be made public, Christ does not support sensationalism in miracles.  But the leper should show  a priest and make the purification offering, to be reintegrated fully into the community of believers and social life. He is to witness the Messianic authority of Christ before the priest. The power of compassion with which Jesus heals the leper, strengthens the faith of this man and makes him a missionary.
A cordial greeting to all German-speaking pilgrims. The month of June is dedicated to the worship of the Sacred Heart. The awareness of compassion of Jesus with us, enkindles in us a new, joyful and missionary faith. God bless you all.

Pope Francis and His Revolutionary Language

Pope Francis' "Revolutionary Language"
(Rome) The historian and well-known Catholic intellectual Roberto de Mattei published a column yesterday in the Rome newspaper Il Tempo (18th May), about the "revolutionary language" of Pope Francis.

The revolutionary language of Pope Francis

by Roberto de Mattei

In the Church's history there have been many "reformist" popes, but Pope Bergoglio seems to belong to a different category, which has been alien under the Roman popes to date, that of the "revolutionary".

The reformers of the past aimed to restore the doctrine and the discipline to its purity and original integrity, which is why they can be referred to from this point as "traditionalists". Such popes were Pius IX. and Pius X.

The revolutionaries, however, are those who want to make a break between past and present, by locating the achievable ideal in a utopian future.

The breach of Pope Francis with the past takes place more in language than on the doctrinal level. However, the language has a greater power to change than the idea that it represents in the media age. It is no accident that Cardinal Schönborn was called to launch the Papal Letter Amoris laetitia at the press conference in Rome as "a linguistic event".

The decision for a particular "house style", which is expressed through words, gestures and omissions, requires a certain mindset and implicitly offers new doctrine. The claim, however, carries out a linguistic revolution, from which one denies that it is also a doctrinal revolution, which inevitably leads to confusion. However, the confusion, the disorientation and a certain schizophrenia seem to be the distinctive cipher of the current pontificate.

Recent examples of the confusion surround the concept of poverty. The poverty of the Gospel is confused with that of the socialist-communist ideologies.

The former is a state of perfection, which arises from the conscious decision of the individual. The second is a social state which is imposed as a mandate from above.

In addition, if the men of the Church and Catholics should live generally on a personal level in the spirit of poverty, in the sense that they should not depend on earthly goods, that does not mean that the Church should be as poor as an institution founded by Christ, but have all the necessary material resources to carry outn its mission.

To rob the Church of this means depriving it of the means, to amputate and weaken its action in the world. From the point of this poverty mongering, Pope Bergoglio puts the Church in danger by taking away its vitality, to change it in order to immerse it in the process of secularization that has been dissolving what the Church once was in the Christian West.

Bicycling in the Sanctuary --- The "Model" of the "Merciful" Bishops

Archbishop Lorefice Travels With His Bike Through the Presbyterium
of his Cathedral
(Rome) The new Archbishop of Palermo, recently appointed by Pope Francis, Msgr. Corrado Lorefice, swung himself in a bicycle and drove through the presbyterium of his Cathedral.
"Sometimes I ask myself whether certain prelates do not invent these surprises from a mere desire to see if they come into the media and land especially on certain blogs, for example, ours ..." according to the traditional website Messa in Latino.

News and pictures were published by the official website of the Archdiocese of Palermo with the following text:

"Palermo. Primatiale Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption, Wednesday, April 27, 2016: Feast of the Athletes. Image: His Excellency Most Reverend Monsignor Corrado Lorefice, Archbishop-Metropolitan, Primate of Sicily, on a bicycle in the chancel of his cathedral..

The Archbishop was given a bike that he didn't want to try outside the church. Instead, he rose immediately and in full regalia as celebrant,  chasuble and miter,  got on the bike  and drove it through the presbytery of his episcopal church. The Cathedral of Palermo is not only where lay the Stauferkaisers Henry VI. and Frederick II. and the Norman King, Roger II. It is above all one of the oldest Christian places of worship in Europe. The area of the Cathedral was secret at the latest  in the second century gathering of Christians in underground tunnels. Here the martyrs of the persecution of Christians were buried. The Christians gathered at their graves. In the early fourth century, the construction of the first cathedral was carried out. Under Pope Gregory the Great, the second cathedral was built around 600.

"Ultraprogessive slap"

Biking Archbishop

Msgr. Lorefice belongs to the so-called "compassionate" bishops appointed by Pope Francis. Observers speak of "progressive" appointments.

Born in 1962 in Sicily, he was ordained in 1987 a priest in the Diocese of Noto. On October 27, 2015, Pope Francis surprised with his appoinment as the new primate of Sicily. Last 5 December, the inauguration took place. Officially, church-related media cheered him as a "bishop of a Church of the poor and for the poor". Traditional media, however, spoke of an "ultra progressive slap for conservatives" in the Church.

Lorefice followed Cardinal Paolo Romeo, who made the ominous prediction in late 2011 that Pope Benedict XVI. would die within the year 2012. Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, of Benedict XVI. taught thereat, in his exposition of the facts of an "assassination plot".

Pop music of Noemi and "School of Bologna"

Lorefice belongs to the progressive "school of Bologna", that historian school, looking at the Second Vatican Council as a "break" with the recent ecclesial tradition and as a "new beginning" in the modern age. Lorefice contributed to this school in a book about Gisueppe Dossetti and Cardinal Lercaro, who were both central figures of the progressive "Rhenish Alliance".

Dossetti was a left Catholic politician, who was consecrated a priest in 1959 consecrated by Cardinal Lercaro priest. Thanks to his political and parliamentary experience, he was the one who steered the Second Vatican Council for the "Rheinische Alliance" from the background. The lever which he used  was the Rules of Procedure. Until an incensed  Pope Paul VI. forced him to leave Rome.

Lorefice had become, before his appointment, less known because of a clerical draft, but especially because of his unusual sermons on the music of Noemi and other pop singers.

Messa in Latina wrote sarcastically about the Archbishop  biking in his church: "Ad perpetuam rei memoriam." The conspicuous drive into the presbyterate seems to proportionally match its desacralization.
