Istanbul: Hagia Sophia to Have a Permanent Imam -- De Facto Transformation Into a Mosque

(Istanbul) Since 2003 when the Islamic Party for Justice and Development (AKP) took control of the government in Turkey under  Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a re-Islamization of the country has taken place.
Since mid-19th century  the expulsion and oppression of Christians had begun. In the decade 1910-1920 the coup de grace against the Christians took place by a cruel and bloody genocide.  Armenians, Greeks and Chaldeans were killed, expelled or forced to convert to Islam. One hundred years ago  in Istanbul, then still Constantinople, it was said that it was half Christians and Muslims. About 25 percent of the residents in the  area of what is now present-day Turkey were still Christians. Today there are only 0.2 percent.

Prestige

The "Prestige" items of Re-Islamization is fulfilled by the conversion of famous ancient Byzantine churches. After the Turkish conquest of the country, they were made into mosques. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a representative of a national Turkish secularism, made them museums. For years,  ACP Islamic circles have again called to make them mosques.

Magnificent frescoes in the Hagi Sophia of Trebizond: the four Evangelists surrounded by angels. Mosque since 2012.

In some cases, Erdogan's government is already putting the various proposals into practice.
  • The Hagia Sophia of Nicea which was built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian I.  again became a mosque in 2011.  In 787 it had witnessed the Second Council of Nicaea. In 1337 Nicaea was conquered by the Muslims and made into a mosque. However, the Turks forfeited it and gave it up at  the end of the 19th century. Under Atatürk it became a museum in 1935.
  • 2012  Hagia Sophia of Trebizond followed.  It had been built in 1250 by Emperor Manuel I Comnenus on the site of an earlier church. In 1204 the Byzantine Empire had been conquered during the Fourth Crusade. The noble family of Comnenus established the Empire of Trebizond as a successor state. In the new capital, the Hagia Sophia was inspired by the famous model of Constantinople. Trebizond would even last a few more years than Constantinople. In 1461 the small empire on the Black Sea was conquered by the Muslims as well. Since the Basilica was a few kilometers outside the city walls, it was only desecrated in 1511 by the Turks and  converted into a mosque only in 1584. The monastery which was attached to the Basilica was inhabited until the early 18th century by Greek Orthodox monks. The use as a mosque ended in the 50s of the 20th century. In the spirit of Ataturk it was then made into a museum. At the same the church frescoes whitewashed by the Muslims were uncovered again.

Hagia Sophia of Constantinople, the magnificent Basilica of the East

The most significant and magnificent Basilica of the Byzantine Empire, Hagia Sophia of Constantinople is still a museum. The question is: for how long?

The Hagia Sophia was begun under the Emperor Constantine the Great  in 325. Under Emperor Justinian I it took its present form and was consecrated in 537. It is one of the outstanding monuments of late antiquity. The great dome which rests only on four pillars, represents an architectural masterpiece. It was the cathedral of the Patriarch of Constantinople and the coronation church of the Byzantine emperors. For 1128 years,  the Divine Liturgy was celebrated there, of which 916 years was in its form visible today.

After the conquest of Constantinople in 1453 by the Turks, it was desecrated and converted into a mosque in the same year.
The Hagia Sophia, the largest and most splendid Basilica of the East, the imperial church of East Rome was desecrated by the Turks and converted into a mosque after the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. The Christian basilica can be seen today. In the Muslim period, four minarets were built and the cross was replaced on the main dome with the crescent to mark the Islamic conquest. In 1931 it was converted into a museum and is the biggest tourist attraction of Istanbul.

Since 2010 Demand for Renewed Conversion Into a Mosque

Its conversion into a mosque was called for at the political level in 2010. In 2012 an unknown Muslim Turk named Talip Bozkurt from Kahramanmaras in Anatolia, made a proposal in the Turkish Parliament to transform the Hagia Sophia back into a mosque. The suggestion was taken up and entered into parliamentary debate in January 2013.

Hagia Sophia of Nicaea, in 787 meeting  place of a council. Mosque since 2011

The Orthodox Patriarch of Moscow and Constantinople demand its the return to the Christians. If the Hagia Sophia is to be reopened for prayer, then it should be a church again, says Patriarch Bartholomew
Due to its  formative significance on the cityscape of Istanbul, neither Muslims nor Turkish nationalists are ready to return it to the Christians. For the AKP government, the issue of re-Islamization of the monument has a special symbolic meaning. This also applies to the  Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, who was relected in  May. In order to understand the reasoning behind this, the words of the then Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Bulent Arinc, on the conversion of Hagia Sophia of Nicaea (Iznik Turkish) in 2011, are useful:
"With this act we have recovered the recognition of our ancestors. The Hagia Sophia of Iznik is the booty of our conquest and as such we have a right to it. A church can be converted into a mosque. "

From a Ramadan Mosque to a Permanent Imam

Last June, the Hagia Sophia was converted to a mosque during Ramadan for a month. This is only a first step, say observers. Since then, imams who entered the Basilica, were there to do two of the five Islamic daily prayers. Now the next step will take place. As the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported, a proposal was made jointly in Constantinople between the State Office for Religious Affairs and the Mufti of Fathi to nominate a permanent imam for the Hagia Sophia who will perform the five-day prayers daily.
With the appointment of Imam, conversion into a mosque is consummated fact, regardless of any  expressed decision.
For now there is still no response from the Greek Government and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Athens has criticized attempts at Islamicization in the past as an "insult to the religious sensibility of millions of Christians", which is all the more serious because these have been "undertaken by a country that wants to join the European Union."
In the European and overall in the international press it is difficult to find mention of these initiatives toward Islamicization. "Not a good sign," writes  Corrispondenza Romana.

Vandalism Against Roman Churches: Suspect Captured

In Rome several churches have become the target of attacks - a suspect is already known, a 39-year-old Ghanaian - Pastor of the church concerned: "I thought it would be ISIS"

Rome (kath.net/KAP/red) In Rome several churches have become target of attacks. After two incidents occured on Friday night, just a few steps apart, the churches of San Martino ai Monti and Santa Prassede, on Saturday a rioter also beset  San Vitale and San Giovanni dei Fiorentin, according to police. According to physical descriptions by the priests, police have arrested a man in Rome. It is presumed to involve a previously known 39-year-old Ghanaian.

The suspect has since been questioned. Whether he is actually responsible for the actions and for what motive he acted, according to the police, is still unclear.

According to the report a statue of the saint in the church of San Martino ai Monti on the Esquiline was damaged on Friday night and a man had fled. Shortly afterwards, apparently the same person appeared in Santa Prassede and attacked two saints. The rector of the church declared then that about 15 present had chased the perpetrators, after a moment of shock, before he could set alight a crucifix. The man appeared deranged.

According to the Italian newspaper "Messaggero,"the priest of Santa Prassede said: There was a great noise, "I thought it would be  ISIS". The church was filled with pilgrims, who became panicked, "the people fled and ran. But I managed to stop him while he was on the altar, then other people came and helped me. However, he managed to escape. We were in fear and anxiety, because we did not know if he was armed."

In retrospect, explained the priest, he obviously does not know whether it was a terrorist or not. In any event, it is but "a great lack of respect for the religion. That was a very serious matter."

Every Third Muslim in France Fits a "Radical Profile"

Islamization of France
(Paris) One in three Muslims in France have a "radical profile". This is the result of an IFOP study yesterday published in Le Journal du Dimanche. Thus, there is in France between two and three million "radical Muslims".

In France  there lives, followed by the Federal Republic of Germany, the largest Islamic community in the West. The exact number of Muslims is not known, since the state does not perform a census of religious affiliation. This was abolished in the wake of mass immigration to - as critics claim -  to make less visible the the remodeling of the population. For this reason, there are different estimates. Islamic organizations say there are between 6-9 million Muslims. Government and politicians tend to downplay the number. The study itself incomprehensibly points to 3-4 million Muslims. The assumed "consensus" until recently, is that there are five million Muslims in France, is regarded by experts as outdated.
The study firmly represents a radicalization trend among young Muslims. The group of "radical Muslims" is relatively young. 84 percent are under 50. Their average age amounts to 35.8 years. The lesson is: the younger, the more radical. The re-Islamization is also a generational issue.
The authors of the study emphasize the "successful integration" of a "majority" of Muslims. The "radical" third is to some extent an inevitable byproduct. Despite this "politically correct" interpretation, the study reveals worrying findings.
Around 50 percent of Muslims living in France today were born in France and therefore are French citizens by birth. Overall, 74 percent of all Muslims living in France have French citizenship. For 66 percent of them, Islam plays an important role.
According to the study, the younger generation of Muslims follow the Islamic rites and rules more stringently and fervently than the older generation. The polling firm IFOP interviewed 1,029 Muslims about Islam, from the veiling of women and halal food.
28 percent were in favor of polygamy and the actual complete veiling for women.
Especially high is the proportion of radicals among young Muslims. 70 percent of young women are to wear the headscarf, 28 percent for the full-body veiling. Among the young, male Muslims, they are 58 and 20 percent respectively.
According to the study, one third attends Friday prayers in the mosque, another third on special feast days, one-third do not go to the mosque.

Persecuted Christians Disturb Catholic Interfaith Event -- "You see how the situation has happened in Europe by this attitude, where you live as Christians in the majority and yet are afraid."

(Rimini) The  meeting organized in 2016 by the Catholic community Communion and Liberation (CL),  which has taken place has cast a new interreligious shadow. [All of these linked articles are German, sorry.] The persecuted Christians of the Middle East "disturb" the desired climate. An Iraqi priest  witnessed the genocide of the Christians in his home, which was made bitter by experience that the West not only looks away, but - if it still has to listen again - responds unwillingly and with opposition.
On the opening there was a Marian Publisher  that had been prohibited from showing representations of Mary  "so as not to offend other religions." This meeting is of such importance that the Italian President and Prime Minister arrived in person. Italy left-Catholic president Sergio Mattarella, let it be known in his welcome address that it's not necessary for "all religions to be fundamentalist." But what does "all religions", in a message of greeting to a Catholic event mean without naming the Islam?
This is the "new interreligious shadow", giving a response of a saturated relativism to challenges, and thus, must necessarily remain inadequate and unsuitable.
At the same time the usual CL representatives like Archbishop Emeritus of Bologna, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, and the incumbent Archbishop of Ferrara, Luigi Negri, were no longer included in the meeting program.

Young Iraqi Priest as "Troublemaker"

Also not fitting in the picture is the Iraqi priest Rebwar Basa. Born 38 years ago in Erbil, he is priest of St. George Monastery of Mosul. He comes from the Middle East powder keg, whose fuse was lit in 2011.  He knows the situation of Christians from personal experience, because he himself is one of them. He knows about the persecution of Christians. He knows that Christians are a diminishing minority and are harassed by various Islamic groups in the country, persecuted, expelled and killed. And he also knows from personal experience that even the official state power makes Christian life difficult.

Rebwar Basa, Catholic priest from Mosul

Although Rimini is so far from Mosul, he nevertheless also felt the long shadow of the Middle East conflict cast on the famous seaside resort on the Adriatic Sea, when a statue of Mary must be wrapped in the middle of Italy at a Catholic major event, to be considerate of Muslims. It is the long shadow of Islam. It is above all the long shadow of its own weakness that has plagued European Christianity as an immune deficiency disease, which the Iraqi priest began to feel at the meeting.
Rebwar Basa was a guest at the meeting for three days, told all those who did not turn away, but wanted to learn about the fate of  brothers and sisters in the Middle East. The Catholic  organization Kirche in Not [Church in Need], who works extensively in a special way to help persecuted Christians. KN offered an exhibition on the persecution of Christians, which even Vatican Radio reported.
Last Friday, the first day of the meeting, there was an incredible incident, which is no less incredible than the concealment of a statue of Mary, of which no one knew anything about at that time. However, it fits another incident and gives a worrying picture.

Kirche in Not Informed about Persecuted Christians

For the exhibition Kirche in Not invited Rebwar Basa to give his  testimony.   And the unbelievable happened. The priest described the terrible fate of Iraqi Christians firsthand and was attacked for it from the audience. His credibility was called into question, since what he reported would not be heard by some. The  journalist Franco Bechis present for the newspaper Libero filmed the anachronistic scene and wrote about it in the Sunday edition of his newspaper: "Father Rebwar reported about the Christians  persecuted by Islam and was some were distressed by this message at the meeting."

"We Christians are the main attraction"

The priest came to the West, but rather than solidarity he reaped open contradiction. It came to a violent slugfest with "interreligious" and islamophilic Christians. Some of the audience just did not want to believe that what they propose could possibly also yield unpleasant consequences. Others seem to have come specifically to the event in order to bring the already weak voice of Middle Eastern Christians to silence. Kirche in Not is known for its commitment to persecuted Christians. It's a program that does not fit into the predominant, desired image, which is that supposedly "all" religions want nothing but peace, and "all" religions involve equally, "fundamentalist," dangers, as Christianity was not unlike Islam, anyway not better.

For all Islamic groups "are we Christians not the main objective?"

The young priest could not be upset, though - yet had every reason to do so - simply because of the disappointment. "What I am telling, I have experienced in Iraq. I am a witness of what I report. We are  still 300,000 Christians there. Here one has said a true thing that the Sunnis kill Shiites, and Shiites kill Sunnis. That's right, and there are religious, political and economic reasons for this slaughter. But just as much for one as for the other, we are Christians the ultimate goal. This must be said!  Again and again I read that the Christians were the collateral victim of a conflict. No, that's not true: Christians are the main goal! There is a persecution instead, which is a genocide, and we need to talk about it "
Despite the opposition, Father Rebwar answered his critics, who know so little of the fate of Christians in the Middle East   that they aim to suppress it: "You do not trust me? Do not believe me? You could check it yourself: There are media, there are books, there are other witnesses. So you can inform yourselves." The problem is rather something else:
"Often they are afraid to speak, so as not to affect the sensitivity of other religions. Fear not, and not from saying that. You see how the situation has happened in Europe by this attitude, where you live as Christians in the majority and yet are afraid. So you can imagine what we are going through in Iraq, where we comprise only 0.5 percent of the population today. Here with you, there are young Muslims who go to Iraq and Syria to fight, and are ready to die. And your youth is no longer willing to participate in a Mass."

Security Measures Raised at Lourdes for Feast of Assumption

French Primate Cardinal Barbarin mentioned in his homily Muslims who worship the Virgin Mary. He keeps seeing Muslim families at Virgin Mary statues, putting their newborn in her hands.

Lourdes (kath.net/KNA/red) the Feast of the Assumption was celebrated under tight security at Europe's most important Marian shrine on Monday with thousands of pilgrims. The French Primate, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, urged the faithful to pray for "France, which is plagued by so much suffering".  At the same time he stressed the the need for cohesion and fraternity in the face of terror, especially among religions.

Barbarin said in his sermon that Muslims revere Mary and that he saw Muslim families frequently before Virgin Mary statues  (see video below). These families said the Cardinal, put their newborns in the hands of Mary and recommend them to her favor and maternal love. Reportedly the Mass was attended by some 12,000 people.

After the attacks in Nice and Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, the ceremony took place under special conditions. According to the manager of the Sanctuary, Thierry Castillo, the access numbers have been reduced to the sacred places. Pilgrims had been searched at specially equipped checkpoints. Moreover, Lourdes was an overflight ban; drones were, according to the prefect of the department of Hautes-Pyrenees, Beatrice Lagarde, not allowed. Police and security teams had significantly increased their staff.

Lourdes is one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations in the world. Mary appeared in the southern French town 14 times in 1858 to the 14-year-old shepherd girl Bernadette Soubirous. In 1862 the apparitions were affirmed by the local bishop, and in 1891 by Pope Leo XIII.. Every year several million pilgrims travel there, including tens of thousands of sick and disabled.
Again and again, unexplained healings have taken place which are examined by an international medical committee.

Cardinal Vingt-Trois "Violent" and "Homophobe" After Attacks

France's Socialist President Hollande and the Catholic Archbishop
of Paris, Cardinal Vingt-Trois

(Paris) During the Office for the soul of Abbé Jacques Hamel,  Cardinal André Vingt-Trois denounced secular ideology yesterday, which is promoted by  France, and where  Islamic terrorism thrives in its soil. For this truth that the Archbishop of Paris dared to utter, he was insulted and ridiculed.
Since the attacks of Islamic State (IS) on the editors of the radical leftist satire sheet Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish supermarket Hyper Cacher was perpetrated by French citizens with immigrant backgrounds, France now asks how it is possible that "Frenchmen" can so despise their own country.

Thought Control

Even those who alone registered cautious doubts about the question, were brought abruptly to silence. The question of Islam in France and  mass immigration should not be raised in the official media segment anyway. The accusation is promptly "Islamophobia" and acts as a murder weapon. The corresponding, ideologically motivated changes to the criminal justice system through the introduction of opinion offenses, make it possible to make whole sets of questions largely taboo.
Those who, despite the bombings, dared to talk about a loss of identity of France, because the identity is replaced by a secular emptiness and a wild nihilism, was attacked at best as "extremist crusade nostalgics" and mocked.
The freedom of speech is stifled in France by thought control. It is no wonder that one of the most lucid comments about the evil that Europe has spread, originated from a Muslim, Hind Fraihi. As a Muslim, he enjoys a special treatment the Frenchman is not allowed.
Fraihi complains not only against radical Islam, he also questions what Europe has to offer young Muslims that came or were brought by their parents into the country. "Europe must offer these young people an alternative. The problem is that it has none. It has no recognizable identity any more. There is only individualism, but it separates the people, it does not join them. Europe must change. As long as it has just materialism, capitalism and individualism to offer, the situation is hardly better. "
Even after the umpteenth attack in which a priest was murdered in Normandy at the altar of the church as he celebrated Holy Mass, the muzzle is still in place. It is also prohibited to name the great evil which has befallen France by name. Cardinal Vingt-Trois, Archbishop of Paris tried to scratch on the Tabu in his requiem for the murdered priest, Jacques Hamel. For this he was "crucified" by the nomenclatura and insulted.

"The Crisis of Our Society Demands Relentlessly Rethinking Our Values"

The cardinal criticized the politician buzzword of "values" that are apparently worthy to "defend," but no one knows and explains what "values" they are  because this is,  which one is supposed to use,  which since the incumbent since 2012 socialist government of France, but even their predecessor governments, has actually undermined the supporting values in  corporate and social policy and in part openly oppose them.
On Wednesday, a day after the brutal ritual murder in Rouen, the cardinal said in his homily:
"The crisis that has gripped our society, urges us inexorably to reconsider our views, which are our most valuable  possessions. Often the 'values' are invoked as a kind of talisman  for which we should stand up, no matter what it costs. But we are less verbose when it comes to the content, and that's the problem. [...] For what values we are ready to sell everything that we possess in order to acquire and protect them? Maybe our aggressors have finally compelled us to identify the object of our resistance?"
He continued: "We have never had such prosperity, such a comfortable life and known such security in France as it is today. So many produced and - albeit unequally - distributed goods but it doesn't prevent  that we are afraid. Is that fear stirred therefore that we could lose so much of it?"  Then the cardinal lamented the spiritual void, the "silence," in which the threat from the jihadists is mixed that paralyzes the country. "The Silence of the parents towards their children and the failure of the transmission of values. The Silence of the elites against the decline of morals and legalizing of aberrations [He could have said abominations.]. Silence at work, at home silence, silence in the city. For what purpose should we talk? The many fears create blocks, a collective fear and anxiety. The anxiety urges us to hide and hide. Where will we find the strength to face these dangers? For those of us who believe in Jesus Christ, hope lies in  trusting in His Word."

Cardinal Denounced as "Homophobic" and "Violent"

Attention was ensured only for the references to  moral decay and legalizing aberrations. Esther Benbassa, Senator of the Greens, of Jewish faith, born in Istanbul and with French, Turkish and Israeli passport, insulted the Cardinal of having pronounced "outrageous statements."
Corinne Narassiguin, spokesman for the ruling Socialist Party and who specializes in "gay rights" and immigration, said she was "outraged" over the way in which the cardinal  could "attack gay marriage  in a sermon of hope in the face of terrorism."
The former UMP minister of Youth, Health and Solidarity, Roselyne Bachelot, even spoke of an "unprecedented violence" that had been exercised through his words, and announced that "the fight against any and all discrimination" would be continued.

"Polemic Perfect Proof for What the Cardinal Wanted to Say"

From the side of the Cardinal, it was noted that Vingt-Trois did not specifically mean "gay marriage", but a whole series of legal actions on issues of bioethics, of life beginning and the end of life. The Socialist government of President Hollande has been in power since 2012. Within a few years a number of measures in these areas, including so-called "gay rights" as well as the "gay marriage" and adoption rights for homosexuals, or  like surrogacy and euthanasia. The government advertises aggressively for the killing of unborn children and fights life rights organizations. France registered in 2015 218,100 abortions. It created public places where drug addicts can  shoot up legally. Gender ideology was adopted to be the official foundation of the entire education policy. It is already taught in the nursery and to children where they are early sexualized and aberrosexualized.
Cardinal Vingt-Trois criticized this "secular offensive"  and put them in a context of Islamic terrorism, which has shaken France, because it relates to the question of what the foundations of the state are, how good are these and what causal, direct or indirect connections there to the attacks. For this he was denounced as "homophobic" and "violent".
Vincent Neymon, spokesman for the French Bishops' Conference , responded by saying:
"Cardinal Vingt Trois had the courage to say what he thinks. This polemic is the perfect proof of what the cardinal wanted to say."

When the Silence of the Pope is a Sin -- Roberto de Mattei on the Islamist Murder of Father Jacques Hamel

Comment by Roberto de Mattei

The first martyr of Islam in Europe has a name. He is Abbé Jacques Hamel, murdered while in the parish church of Saint Etienne du Rouvray in Normandy celebrating  Holy Mass on July 26. Two Muslims invaded the church out of homage to Islam, and after taking the few faithful present hostage, they cut the priest's throat and seriously injured another of the faithful. About the identity of the aggressors and their anti-Christian hatred which drives them, there is no doubt. Through its press agency Amaq the Islamic State (IS) described the two attackers as "our soldiers".
The name of Jacques Hamel joins the thousands of Christians who burned alive, crucified and beheaded each day out of hatred for their faith. The bloodbath on the 26th of July is still a turning point, because this is the first time happened in Europe and thus casts a shadow of fear and shock to the Christians of our continent.
It is not possible to guard the 50,000 religious buildings in France and an equally large number of churches, parishes, pilgrimage sites and chapels in Italy and other countries. Every priest has become the object of a possible attack, which are intended to further increase if only because of the effect the  imitation of such acts trigger.
"How many deaths does it take, how many severed heads for the European leaders to understand the situation in which the West is?"
This question was posed by Cardinal Robert Sarah after the recent attacks. What must happen, we add, so that the confreres of Cardinal Sarah comprehend the appalling situation in the College of Cardinals, including the Pope, which is now taking place not only the West, but in the universal Church? What makes this situation so horrific is the policy of starry eyed idealism and false compassion towards Islam and the enemies of the Church. Certainly, Catholics must pray for their enemies, but they need to be especially aware first and foremost, they have such. And they have not to limit themselves in  praying for them. They also have the duty to fight them. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, when it says that self-defense is, "not just a right but also a grave duty, when responsible for another life or responsible for the welfare of his family or the community," ( no. 2265). It also says:
"The protection of the common good of society requires that the attacker is unable continue to harm" (n. 2266).
Pope Francis said he was "deeply shocked about the fact that this act of senseless violence took place in a church during a service, a liturgical act, which asks for the peace of God", but yet again neglected to name the killers by name. The silence of Pope Bergoglio corresponds to the Muslims around the world who do not condemn with a loud voice, unanimously and collectively, crimes committed in the name of Allah by their coreligionists. Even French President Francois Hollande spoke in his speech to the nation on Tuesday evening of a war of France against the Islamic State (IS).
During his pontificate, Pope Francis spoke with great haste about some saintly figures of the 20th century like Oscar Arnulfo Romero and Don Pino Puglisi, who were certainly not killed out of hatred for the Catholic faith. On 12 May 2013 he also canonized in St. Peter's Square, the 800 martyrs of Otranto, who were beheaded on 11 August 1480 by the Turks because they had refused to deny their faith.  If Pope Francis were to announce the opening of a beatification process for Abbé Jacques Hamel, that would be a peaceful but strong   signal to the world that the Church is willing to defend Her identity. But if he continues in giving the illusion that there could be an ecumenical agreement with Islam, he will repeat the mistakes of those shameful policies that sacrificed the victims of Communist persecution on the altar of Ostpolitik. The altar of politics is quite another than the holy altar on which the bloodless sacrifice of Christ is celebrated, and with this victim Abbé Jacques Hamel had the grace on July 26,  to unite with it by giving his own blood.

Abbé Jacques Hamel: "I Will Be Active Until My Last Breath"

"Have you ever seen a priest in retirement? I will be active until the last breath."
Abbé Jacques Hamel said this as he celebrated his golden anniversary as a priest in 2008. At the age of 86 years, Abbé Hamel was murdered on July 26, 2016 by Mohammedans at the parish church of Saint Etienne de Rouvray at Rouen, just as he celebrated Holy Mass at the altar

Erdogan Protesters Storm Catholic Church in Trebizond

TRABZON. Protesters have attacked Christian places of worship in loyalty rallies for Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey. In Trebizond, participants stormed the Catholic Church of Our Lady and chanted  "Allahu ekber" ( "Allah is Greater"), reports the Catholic News Agency (KNA).

In addition, demonstrators are said to have flown flags of the rightist MHP party alongside Turkish ones. According to KNA, sympathizers of the "Grey Wolves" participated in the storming. After the failed coup attempt an evangelical church was also devastated. These and other reports of anti-Christian riots, however,  due to the media blackout can not be verified.

The Church in Trebizond last appeared  in the headlines in 2006  when the priest Andrea Santoro was shot dead by a Muslim. The 16 year old student had shot  the clergyman from behind and called "Allahu akbar". Later it became known that the priest had been bugged for months by police. In 2011 the Church had been attacked by a mob. (Ls)

Venice: Moroccan Muslim Entered Church and Damaged Crucifix

San Geremia in Venice: Muslim entered the church and tore
the cross down: "I will give you the truth.  I bring the truth."
(Rome) In Venice a few days ago a crucifix was badly damaged by  a Muslim  in the Church of San Geremia. The man shouted repeatedly: "I will give you the truth. I bring the truth. "
The church in Sestiere Cannaregio is consecrated to the Old Testament the prophet Jeremiah, close to the Grand Canal, which dates from the 11th century. While the Campanile is 850 years old, it is one of the oldest towers of Venice, the church took its present form in the 18th century. It is famous mainly because of the relics stored therein  of St. Lucy.
On July 12, a Moroccan Muslim with French residency, entered the Venice church filled with visitors  and rushed with loud cries to the large 300 year old crucifix. Here the man shouted, according to witnesses, repeatedly: "I will give you the truth. I bring the truth."  He snatched the three-meter-high cross and proceeded to damage the Corpus and cross by stomping it. He tore the left arm figure of Christ off.

The large crucifix of San Geremia: "This is the Son of God"

The Carabinieri led the man away. This "Islamism" is treated in the politically correct West as a form of mental illness, and  the man who will not face the consequences was medically examined, cited and then placed at liberty. Thus it was  politicians and the media downplayed the Muslim massacres of Graz (2015), three dead and 36 injured, and also the Muslim Amokfahrer of Nice, 84 dead and over 300 injured, was an insane individual perpetrators.

Patriarch of Venice: "Such gestures make joint cohabitation difficult"

The patriarch of Venice, Msgr. Francesco Moraglia condemned the incident in a statement. The Patriarch spoke of
"Gestures that make it difficult  to go on with common ways of living together."
For the meaning of the cross, the Patriarch referred to the Letter of Paul to the Philippians:
"His life was that of a man; he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Wherefore God hath highly exalted and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that every knee should bend in heaven, on earth and under the earth before the name of Jesus and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord' - to the glory of God the Father" (Phil 2:7 to 11).
God had "increased" His Son because of the cross and He bestowed dominion over the universe upon Him. "If we look at the cross where Christ was nailed, we see the sign of love, which was for each of us the foundation of salvation, and will be the cause of salvation for each of us," said Messa in Latino .

At Least 84 Dead From Islamic Terror Attack in Nice -- The Ineptitude of Jacobin Policy

Tractor Trailer as Tool of Murder in Nizza: 84 Dead and Over
100 Wounded by Islamic Attack
(Paris) There are at least 84 dead and over 100 injured last night at a terrible bombing in Nice. A truck raced at high speed into the crowd on the famous Promenade des Anglais, which had just admired fireworks there. The fireworks took place for the French national holiday, the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.

Tunisian Muslim with French Passport

The attack took place around 2300 hrs in the evening when the beach promenade was crowded with  locals and tourists. The fireworks went straight to its end.
According to the first reports, the assassin was killed in a firefight by police. He is supposed to  be a 31-year old Muslim of Tunisian descent, but with French nationality. The talk is of at least two accomplices. It is not yet clear whether they were on board of the truck, where weapons and hand grenades were found.
French President Francois Hollande, who in recent days hit the headlines because because his barber cost the state coffers more than 10,000 Euros every month, conceded that it is a "terrorist attack".  As a first step he extended the state of emergency in France by another three months.

Extended state of emergency - Restriction of civil rights

The state of emergency was imposed after the Islamist terrorist attack of 13 November 2015 on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, which killed 89 people and injured hundreds. The measure is controversial in France, as it restricts the rights, including freedom of assembly of all citizens, while the terrorists can still strike.

Beach promenade of Nice: a place of horror and death

The restriction of civil rights is justified by the "threat to the state and its institutions".
Each prefect, as well as officials,  can impose curfews, block squares and lock meeting places of any kind and prohibit any gatherings. The police can perform house searches as instructed by the Minister of the Interior, or prefect, for which a court order is normally required.
Any person who makes himself "suspect" may be arrested or placed under house arrest. Also in this case judge no longer decide, but the Home Secretary and his officials.
Also,  the Home Secretary and his prefects can dissolve. without examination procedures and without jurisdiction, clubs and organizations, which are seen by them as a "threat".
Just yesterday Hollande had announced the lifting of the state of emergency on July 26 after eight months. Not 12 hours later he extended it again.

Jacobin Contradiction: "Cosmopolitanism" outward - State of Emergency Within

The Islamic terrorist has forced France to an emergency, without undertaking sustained action to improve the situation. Recently, France imposed the state of emergency took place in the 50s and 60s during the Algerian war, but in the Fourth and Fifth Republic, never in peacetime.
A "war," say French politicians, however, is also the fight against Islamic terrorism. The enemy is visible and invisible at the same time.
In France today there are more than six million Muslims who were generously allowed into the country out of a "cosmopolitan" politics. Some Muslims already sit  in the highest government positions and do harm to France there in  radical left-liberal positions in other ways.
"The whole of France is threatened by Islamic terrorism"
said President Hollande with the addition that there are also "several children" among the dead at Nice.

Noteworthy "Coincidences"

French policy has proven itself incapable. For several decades the Grand Nation dawns only according to itself. The government has allowed on the one hand, the Islamization of France by mass immigration into the country from the Islamic world, allowing thus the formation of parallel cultures and the decline of entire neighborhoods that have become social hotspots, and claimed the Islamic terrorism directly and due to the Islamic parallel milieu is hardly controllable.  At the same time a dubious policy of France  engages in interference not only in the Middle East, but also in other Islamic countries and thus  ignites the fuse ever anew- even at home.

The storming of the Bastille in 1789

It may be coincidence, and not intended by the assassin, and yet there it is: The attack on the concert hall Batanclan in November 2015 occurred when the American rock band Eagles of Death Metal had just played   the song "Kiss the Devil."  The chorus of the song, the words repeated in a   penetrating way: "Who will love the devil? Who will sing his song? I will love the devil and his song! Who will kiss the tongue of the devil? I'll kiss the devil on his tongue!" On November 29, 2015 Msgr. François Schneider , pastor of Wisembach,  in the Lorraine Vosges, made people aware of the Satanic connection, which earned him an immediate  reprimand from the Bishop, and according to media reports, the prefect was ordered  at the direction of the interior minister and had threatened criminal sanctions against the pastor. Certain truths seem to be hard to bear.
The assassination in Nice was held on the national holiday, on which France commemorates the opening of the  bloody French Revolution, thus the prelude to the overthrow of the social order, the radical struggle against the Church and Christianity and the beginning of the tyrrany of the Jacobins, who since then have done great harm to the world and the people  and even govern yet again in France.
